I'm not a big fan of roller coasters, though I did ride a couple. Even without riding many rides this is a beautiful place and a great way to spend your day. Definitely an experience! Plenty of good food as well.

Great time to visit. No waiting in long lines to ride. Only downfall, it was too hot. Having water cups available was great! Had a medical situation. The Busch Gardens employees at The Magic Shop went above and beyond with the attention and concern that was shown. EMT Alex was very attentive and thorough. Transportation to parking was provided by EMT Supervisor Ralph. Every courtesy that was extended was greatly appreciated.

They were having there St. Patrick Day celebration and all the rides were not opened, but had fun, if going all day during the summer to ride all the rides opening till closing would recommend to get the food pass for $30 more but you get a full meal every 90 minutes. Enjoyed everything even the dinner theater show while eating. Hope to come back soon!!

This park was beautiful!! The rides have a nice array of thrill to chill that I love the variety. The food here was amazing! I recommend you get the all day meal plan , it is so worth the money! The shows we saw were top notch! The themes for the countries seemed very authentic and custom to the region you were in. If you are going to watch the fireworks we recommend using the bridge for the best view. But while everyone is watching those the ride lines open up a bit. The only issue we incurred while there was that they didn't have many shirts in large size, because they had sold out. I would definitely come back and bring my family!!

My family and I went yesterday 7/4/23, our tickets were discounted for military appreciation and we got 10% off for purchases made in the park. My family had a ball. There was plenty to do for all ages of my family. My husband and I have a 3,8,and 9 year old my mother also attended with us.The food was great. We can’t wait to go back

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is my favorite theme park. Emphasis on theme because this park nails the theme in each of the areas. Every area focuses on a specific area of Europe. The rides are a lot of fun, many of them are kid friendly. The thrill rides are also great, providing different levels of excitement for everyone. Employees are friendly and helpful, making sure the experience is special for every guest. We also participated in the steam engine train tour. This was really special. Recommend for any train enthusiast. They take you into the train depot and show you the engine and teach you about how it works. The tour guide who led us on the tour was very friendly and even gave us a quick queue on a ride while waiting for the train.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful amusement parks. Lots of trees and lots of shade to avoid the heat if needed. Lots and very fun roller coasters to enjoy. Has a lot of children rides to offer as well. Great entertainment and fantastic seasonal activities all year long. Highly recommend!

I used to work in Busch Gardens Williamsburg for 5 months, and I had a chance to ride every single roller coaster again and again :) Best time is to come at opening and you start with every country to explore the entire park. Spend the entire day if you want to have the most fun and experience the park. Buy yourself the express pass, because the lines are long long long. Save money on food or gifts if you, need to... but buy the pass. I have been here few to visit the park after, because it is definitely the best amusement park in the US. I also visited the Busch Gardens Tampa Bay which very fun, but this park is better.

One of my all time favorite parks! There's a reason it's been rated the WORLD'S most beautiful theme park for 33 YEARS straight! Great rides, great food and atmosphere. I could live in the park if they'd let me!

Busch Gardens is one of the most beautiful amusement parks I have been to. You can go on roller coasters and rides; some of my favorites are Finnegan’s Flyer & Invader. You can enjoy shows with spectacular actors and singers. And they have food corresponding to the different European countries the areas the park is based off of. I recommend purchasing the all day dining pass so that you can have the option to eat every 90 minutes. You must go here if you are visiting or local!

Lovely park. Nowhere near the world's most attractive, despite the awards, but it's in the top of 20. Despite the blistering heat, the staff were mostly happy to help and the restrooms very clean and fresh. There's free water at every soda fountain location and snacks, etc. The ride queues are woefully inaccurate (both ways) and the fast track very expensive. It's possibly my favourite Busch park.

It was incredible to see the area first colonized in the USA. The day was perfect, weather-wise, and there was so much to see. The best part was the gentleman native American explaining how he was making an arrowhead in the traditional way. He showed and explained the tools he was using and how he was using them. He even explained the action to flake off pieces of stone to shape and sharpen it. You enter through the main building and purchase tickets. They give you a sticker to wear as proof you paid. It's dog friendly and there is a gift shop/ post office inside. After passing through the building you walk across a long walking bridge. The tall obelisk is the first thing you see, then just beyond it is the church and you walk into the original Jamestown settlement. Beyond it is the building with artifacts. There are plenty of benches to sit and rest while you watch the ferries go by. It was cool with the breeze coming off the water.

Absolutely amazing place. It's so interesting to see the remnants of this country's origins. The archaeologists love taking questions and everyone there is so well-informed and just eager to share with you. Some of the archaeologists had actually found a couple of pieces while we were there and they showed them to us. It was a wonderful experience.

It was cool. Where comfy shoes, not saddles bc it is quite a walk to see all the exhibits and lots of gravel pathways. I appreciate how much available seating sprinkled about so when you get tired from walking and need a break, a bench isn't far away. You can tell they took care and time setting up the exhibits. It is easy to understand the history that took place here.

Historic Jamestown is maintained by the National Park Service. Excavations are ongoing. Jamestown is the beginning of America. It is another story of the early struggles of the first settlers. There are lots to see and learn. The first fort on American soil is here. The first mansions are here. It is the story of people coming from all nations for a new beginning and contributing what they bring to the development of a new nation. I wholly recommend this tour.

The kids had a blast taking in our nation's history. What a fun way to bring our texts books to life! I would recommend good walking shoes as most is gravel and a good refillable water bottle. Restrooms are clean but not all around so potty before heading to the sites! Bring a camera the views are amazing.

Very well cared for park. Plenty of educational materials posted around the grounds. It was fun to see active archeological activities still occurring. The Park Ranger talk was very informative and engaging. It wasn't overly crowded even on a holiday weekend. Definitely recommend a visit.

This is an awesome place just to walk the grounds to see everything restored and preserved from over 400 years ago. The view of the James River is beautiful, and it must have been very interesting starting the first permanent English settlement in North America back in 1607.

Loved this place it has 2 museums one tou walk through to get to the out side settlement and one just off to the side in the settlement. They also have a live archeology dig they let you(kids) help with.its right by the water and just a nice place to walk in the grounds flat so it's not a hard walk. It's not to bad of a distance to walk neither with lots of shady spots to set and rest.i highly recommend to get a pass such as the triangle pass. But if that to high they offer other opinions. It covers all museums ,reenactment , and touts.

If you are a military family the entrance will be free for all of the member of the family. That itself deserves a five star! Most of the interesting things to see are outside so if you are afraid of Covid, go there confident. At the entrance of the welcome center, someone is at the ready to answer any questions before you buy your tickets. We experienced NO wait, maybe because we traveled there before Christmas and during weekday. Inside the welcoming center, there is a very cute souvenir store. There is also like a video room but that was closed — probably due to Covid restrictions. Outside was lots of fun. The kids loved it. The excavation site was fascinating for them. They also simply loved running around and see the canon and statue of the first governor of Virginia. I recommend that outing.

So awe-inspiring. To see where a nation first began is a piece of history you cannot replace. The interpreters are amazing and full of so much information. To think that the first English settlers also walked around here is thought-provoking. Well kept and rebuilt pieces of history.

The location has so much historical significance and they have done such a wonderful job exploring and preserving and presenting it. We were there for 5 hours and could have spent much longer. They currently have ranger lead programs 10, 1:30 & 3:30, but they said to call beforehand as the schedule changes daily. The National park pass receives 50% off admission.

It's great to see the oldest English settlement in America. Much of the fort has been recreated for you to visit and there are a few original areas including some stone foundations, early graves, and some brickwork. The museum included lots of original artifacts and also some skeletons from original settlers who had been identified using historical records and scientific analysis. The cafe was FANTASTIC. Really great soups and sandwiches. Overall, this was great value - about half the price of visiting Williamsburg, and much more interesting in my opinion. Also, kids get in for free! Everyone was friendly and helpful. The ticket staff helped my parents obtain a discount.

Very nice museum both inside and out! We ended up skipping the videos, spent about 3 hours walking around looking at the exhibits. There are quite a bit of interactive displays inside; and the people dressed in role player costumes are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and present with sincere enthusiasm.

This was a great place to bring kids and learn important historical info about the first American settlement. They did a great job with all the recreations and all the actors that were dressed up were very informative and stayed in character. The indoor museum and gift shop were also very well laid out and interesting. Highly recommend!

Nice museum! There are two fun movies to watch, interesting things inside and outside. There's a restaurant near the entrance with nice food. We had a fun time! A few hours was more than enough

Jamestown was a great experience, especially for the kids. There's a lot to take in but the kids can touch a lot of it which makes it feel like a real experience. The kids loved putting on the armor and hats and really enjoyed the ship. The indoor exhibit was insightful and interesting as well. The people who were giving demonstrations were great at telling their stories and showing us what the tools were used for, how the bartering system worked and more. You need at least half a day to see and be able to appreciate the whole experience. The cafe had a lot of options to choose from. There are deli sandwiches, hot grilled food, salads, desserts and even snack items for quick bites. The gift shop near the entrance of the lobby when you first arrive is very nice. There was a lot of things to look at and the kids loved looking around and picking out their gifts. There are so many neat toys and books for the little ones.

Interesting place to spend a few hours. Replicas of the ships the first settlers to the United States used, people in period correct costumes sharing knowledge, a village, shot tower, and an indoor museum going back to pre-settlement. Excellent for children and adults alike.

This place was amazing! There is so much to see and do! One of the highlights going with 2 kids and my mother was the abundance of air conditioning options (and cafe) if it gets too hot! The actors were really friendly and informative. Everything was clean and wasn't hard to locate at all! We loved the interactive games outside also! While we were there it wasn't overly crowded. We got in at 9 and we're able to get front row parking and had time to see the entire place before it started filling up with people! Even after, it is a great experience!

It was an amazing experience. Looking back to history. Visualizing how British has started colonization in North America. Understanding and thinking about those old days how people survived. Overall it was a great experience.

Loved every second of my four hour visit here. Could have stayed longer. At first I wasn't sure about having to take a guided tour for the outdoor exhibits (in certain weeks in winter they don't allow you to meander around), but I am actually really happy I was offered a tour. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable, the interpreters were fantastic fun and I didn't want to leave. The ships and the Fort were definitely highlights. The indoor exhibits are also well done and everything is spotless. Great for all ages. It looks like they experience large crowds in peak season, if that's not your thing plan a visit on a winter weekday and you won't be disappointed.

It was a great experience. We purchased the american historic triangle tickets for multiple places and it was the best bang for the buck. The town, fort and ships were awesome!

Wonderful museum. It really gives you a well rounded view of the history. My favorite "thing" was the obelisk. It's an interesting celebration erected at the 350 year anniversary. The Cafe was also liked by our group.

We had such a great time. We enjoyed touring the inside of the boat. The native Indian live exhibit is a must see. It's respectfully done and so interesting. It's like stepping back into their village. The Jamestown settlement was a little more sparsely done that I would have thought with a lot less actors but the ones there were excellent and informative. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The museum portion was excellent.

We very much enjoyed our tour of the governor's Palace. This building is handicap accessible for those with wheelchairs. However if you can't climb the steps not expect to gain access to the second floor. The tour guides were all very accommodating. Also, if you want more time to enjoy the rooms, visit when the self guided tour is available.

My favorite place in Colonial Williamsburg!! The tour was short and sweet, but very informative and we got to see the whole palace. It was gorgeous!! We also were able to walk around in the gardens. In the gardens were lots of beautiful flowers and plants, a hedge maze, and a trail down to a pond filled with fish, frogs, turtles, and other wildlife

Highly recommended! This area is just so beautiful, with a lot of history. There’s so many things to do and see, and the tour was just wonderful, about 30 minutes long, our guide did a fantastic job! Great for kids and adults. And the kids loved the maze too!

Great first visit to this place. Loved the history and seeing where so much occurred to form what made our country. Lots of walking but the staff are great and really show a love for what they do. Improvements - the buses need help. We waited over 30 mins for a bus that was full. The next one was standing room only with a rude driver. If she yelled at us to fill in like sardines one more time, I would have walked.

We walked through the gardens and did the guided tour. I was not impressed with it, but I would still say to do the tour at least once. Our tour guide talked quietly and was hard to hear at times. The gardens I feel like could have been maintained more and added to. Just felt like missed opportunities. But was still cool to see the decor of that time and the outside rooms like the cellar. We visited during the summer time and the tours filled up quick to where we had to wait on a bench for about 30 minutes just to save our spot.

This place is beautiful! The tour was only about 30 minutes but was full of interesting info coming from a good actor and tons of beautiful things to look at. It may not be the BEST for small children, but my small child loves history and he did super well.

The tour was awesome. I loved the entrance when you walk in; it is high class and makes quite the statement! The gardens in the back are cool and the maze is more fun than I thought it'd be.

Really great tour with air conditioning… lol Check out the root cellar, it is neat. Loads of great history that’s not too boring for the kids. They keep it moving well.

Amazing restoration of a beautiful historic site. Interpreters gave an informative ~25 min tour of the palace. Following the tour, beautiful gardens and a hedge maze to explore.

First time going and it will not be my last time. Beautiful, kid friendly, some rocks so depending on what type of wheelchair it might not be wheelchair friendly. Charming, stunning, educational, all in one. Worth the visit you will not be disappointed.

My family and another family came to Virginia for vacation and made a visit to this waterpark. We’ve all agreed it’s easily the best waterpark we’ve been to. It was clean, there was plenty of shade and everyone was super nice and helpful. We came during the week and had no problems finding anywhere to sit at any of the pool areas or food areas and nearly no wait for food and drink items. If we are ever in the area we will be returning without hesitation.

So expensive! We paid $460 for 6 people to spend 3 hours there. Another $60 in parking for 2 cars. I probably won’t go back. Everything inside was crazy expensive too. $4.99 for a Diet Coke. $16 for a pretzel & churro. There is not a lot of shade. They don’t let you bring food or drinks in either. I wasn’t impressed.

Bought the 2 park fun card and 1 annual pass for parking. We were in the area for a month and this is the best way to do theme parks for us. We would go at open and leave when it got busy. The park is nice with shade throughout don’t know what others are talking about, I’ve been to parks without shade and this place has a lot. Could use a bit more water on the concrete in a few areas. Tons of great slides, no wait hardly for the first few hours. We would pack food and eat at the picnic tables outside in the parking lot if we wanted to do a full day. Water bottles are allowed inside but no food. Bathrooms were fairly clean and well stocked. Enjoy!

The experience at the water park was good, but not excellent based on my 4 stars. For one there was a section of the park closed and second there was a big tube ride down. All the rides that were open were great, but I would prefer that the lazy river had tubes instead of floating down either by yourself or with a life vest. The food was also just ok. Lastly it would be great if there was a lane when entering parking that was a prepaid line only.

Very large waterpark, in the heart of a beautiful forested park. It gets busy and the lineups for some of the rides are long as a result, but there is a variety of thrill opportunities for all levels of comfort. A lazy river and wave pool are great for relaxing and no lineups for those! A wonderful and fun way to spend the day with family.

Wonderful day of play with my teens. We enjoyed the variety of water rides, food, and treats. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lockers weren't too expensive. Bring your waterproof phone cover and be prepared to drop your shoes at each ride and be soaked.

I was pleasantly surprised with this water park. We had a party of six: 3 adults, 1 teen, 1 big kid, 1 toddler. It drizzled for the better part of the day. We opted to get a cabana for $220. Worth the expense to get a break from the drizzle. We received a free meal (X6) with the rental. Come prepared to walk! Water shoes are a must, sandals barely worked out for me. The food was good for a theme park and prices. I saw people headed to their car for their food too. It's close enough to pull off. The park closed 3hrs early because of inclement weather. We asked to receive passes to come back and we got all 6 passes back, expire within a year. Great water slides/activities for toddlers, teens, and adults. No lines to get on rides. Highly recommend a visit.

My daughter and I enjoyed this getaway yesterday, being the first time to explore Water Country. A good day to be had BUT.. The website was a little confusing though. Parking is $25 when online I thought I read $10 Outdoor food is not permitted (but online says its okay) Smoking (online says no smoking in the parks, but at site had a designated smoking spot behind the bathrooms) That's the only few issues I've seen, needing information to be more accurate in person and online. But all in all, it's a great place to go to cool down on a hot day!

It is a good waterpark for children to have fun, yes! It's a little expensive but the slides are very fun my 8 and 12 year old kids really enjoyed it . I would say that the only bad thing is the long waiting lines to get on the slide, but they have a fast pass extra purchase if you are not a big fan of waiting for a long time, but this is definitely up to you, also food and drinks are not good and they are very expensive and they don't allow any outside food or drinks into the park. I took my son to this water park for the first time as a birthday present for him and he really enjoy it! Outside of the food and the long waits, everything else was amazing! My son was very happy!.

I've been coming here since I was in diapers. The park is clean, beautiful, and well maintained. The staff are MOSTLY friendly and helpful. The rides are great and I appreciate that they have added more umbrellas and shading, especially in the lines and rest areas. That being said, they were severely understaffed when we visited this past Sunday... which made the lines even longer and not worth waiting for anymore. Many of the rides had closed off some of their tunnels and slides too, making it worse. Management should be more prepared and pay their staff better ages to ensure that there is proper staffing... otherwise, it isn't fair to the guests who have paid to visit and enjoy themselves. Food and drinks are outrageously expensive as always, but that's nothing new.

Conveniently located off Interstate 64 between Richmond and Virginia Beach in Williamsburg is Water Country USA. We visited on a Tuesday afternoon, 1 adult and two kids ages 10 and 12. I highly recommend purchasing your tickets online a head of time as you receive a discount off the gate price. Parking is 30 dollars per vehicle or you can opt for the upgrade to get a little closer for 55 dollars. After parking we scanned our passes, entered through metal detectors and began our day at the park. We found lockers available for rent of the three tiers available. 20 dollars for small. 30 for medium and 40 for large. For reference, small locker was sufficient for my cell phone, keys, three large bath towels and street clothes for us. After securing our belongings we went on just about every ride from the lazy river and wave pool to Colossal Curl. Life vests are available free of charge and are encouraged for children under 48 inches and those that are not strong swimmers. We purchased the dining package which allows for an entree, side item, or dessert along with a beverage every 90 minutes. Caveat, bottled water, beer, bottles of soda are excluded along with certain ice cream stands and funnel cake are not included in the dining pass. Fast passes are available for an additional fee to avoid lines if you so choose. If you are looking for a fun place to take the family and spend some time outdoors, head over to Water Country USA for some sun and fun; you will be glad you did. *something also to note is Water Country USA is completely cashless. They accept credit cards, Apple Pay and you can also load money onto a prepaid card for use within the park.

Food for Thought, Incredible! This thought provoking clean eating restaurant was just outstanding. Food and Service both were exquisite. Our server was friendly, fast, well trained and organized. We had a wonderful experience with jokes and funnies. The entrees, desserts, drinks and appetizers were just delectable. All of the menu choices are hand picked by the owners and managers specifically to ensure a great customer experience. The adult beverages were perfect, great price, right punch etc. The Tea, was great! The tap water was not filtered but I wasn’t at this restaurant for water. I definitely recommend Food for Thought for anyone interested in clean eating with a twist of mental stimuli.

Had a great meal here last week with family. The food was tasty and well prepared. I like the theme of the restaurant. Had some kids in our party, and it was nice to show them the quotes and stories, etc. Would definitely come again.

There was a slight wait but it was well worth it. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. My daughter accidentally spilled her water all over the table and the manager himself personally brought towels and cleaned it all up. He brought us all new utensils and napkins and tried to ensure we were comfortable. Will definitely come back whenever vacationing in Williamsburg.

If you're vegan, not only can you eat here, you will eat healthy, gourmet meals. I got the Ultimate Vegetarian with pesto and it was a delicious vegan meal. My husband got the mushroom stack and the sauce was to die for. I love that it is whole food plant-based with no processed meat analogs. They also had a couple of other vegan meals that looked great. Ask for the vegan flat bread because the regular bread is not vegan. The tomatoes that come with the bread was simply fabulous!! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the rice was to die for. My only recommendation is to have a few more vegan options to include appetizer.

Lovely atmosphere and selection of food for everyone. We ordered more seafood, trying the fish and mussels. The salmon was good, a bit dry, but flavored just right. Likely could have been fixed if asked to serve medium rare. The breaded fish was overly breaded. The mussels were excellent, complemented with a delicious white sauce. The staff was perfect, helpful, and very welcoming. We'll try again next year. Always a staple restaurant to visit when in town.

This is a “One of a Kind” restaurant. There are no other locations anywhere else, and if you go, you’ll see why! The uniqueness of the decor, drinks, dishes, and books to read make this place special; but people go for the food and service. I had the steak salad and my date had the crab cake. Both dishes were cooked to order, tasted delicious, and neither of us finished, all great signs for good food. The service was exceptional. There appeared to be a front of house and a general manager present that made rounds helping the wait staff and checking on each table individually. This is a vast improvement over most restaurants I’ve ever visited, and we will be going back! Our server was outstanding, knew when to shy away from the table if we were talking seriously and when we weren’t, discreetly checked on the food and our needs. They also had a great bar area with two bartenders that were quick to make drinks while people were waiting, and there were a few seats around the bar if you ever went solo or with one other to escape the wait. 5 Stars. You will not be dissatisfied or disappointed leaving here!

My family had a pretty good experience here Saturday night. Our party (13) was pretty large and it wasn't a problem for our server. The food was good and the price point was good for the amount of food you receive. Entrées ordered included Meat Loaf, Salmon w/apple & onion chutney, Bacon wrapped scallops (that nights special, however were not large but the taste was pleasant), and a rather large salad topped with steak (rave reviews for the creamy balsamic dressing) that seemed to be a big hit! The owner came over towards the end of our meal and asked of our experience. Overall good dinner experience, a nice break from alot of the chain restaurants, that litter up and down Rt.60 all around this place.

We saw the great reviews for this place, and decided to check it out. We called ahead for a late lunch, and they had our table ready when we got there. They also had a sling to hold our baby carrier. Our service was excellent! Our server made recommendations and even showed us photos when it came time for us to choose dessert. We enjoyed the mind games on the table while waiting for our food. My food was delicious. I enjoyed the cilantro chicken, mashed potatoes, and pea/corn medley. The bread for the table was also great. The dessert portions are large. I shared the bread pudding, and I was very full. I would definitely go back, and I definitely recommend trying this place.

Enjoyed our meals. Our food was delicious, but was hoping for something more celebratory as we were celebrating our son’s 34th birthday. However, we really liked the “Food for Thought” conversation starter cards on the table. Those kept everyone at the table engaged and the wait for our food did not seem to take too long. Great place for a family dinner night out👍🏾😋.

Had a very pleasant dining experience today. From the young man opening the door upon arrival to the young man who seated us , to our friendly and attentive server, Savannah- the staff was extremely hospitable. The food was presented beautifully and it was delicious! We had the Thai shrimp and pork belly appetizers. The tuna poke bowl was fresh, colorful and the sauce was yummy! The burger my husband ordered was perfect along with a crisp and flavorful grit cake. Nice pours on the drinks, as well. The manager stopped at our table and the young man at the door thanked us for stopping in. All in all the best experience we had during our time in Williamsburg.

Absolutely delicious food and great service. We started off with some nice cocktails and the Thai Poppin’ Shrimp, which was amazing! The pork ribeye and the steak were both great and the Turtle Cheesecake was wonderful.

Pretty good. Service was great. I ordered a raspberry drop which I felt wasn’t mixed well and not very balanced. The lasagna was good, maybe lacking a bit of salt, but it was cheesy and creamy and the tomato sauce was flavorful not sweet, pretty mild I’d say. The Lemongrass mussels appetizer was my favorite, it came with a lot of food so it was a great value honestly. It even came with some amazing garlic bread that I dipped in the soup. The other bistro pasta wasn’t mine but upon tasting it the first thing I noticed was that the beef tips were chewy, it was still yummy though. I’d recommend this restaurant.

PROBABLY BEST PLACE FOR LUNCH!!! THE FOOD WAS BEYOND PERFECT!!! We ordered the Main Street Burger, Salmon Burger, and Thai Shrimp. Every dish was so perfect! The price was ideal! Staff friendly! Very clean and chill vibe. Solid drink menu. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! THANK YOU

Great local eatery. The fried green tomatoes were great with bacon. The Burger was flavorful and cooked perfectly and the carrot cake. Big enough for 3 but the most moisture cake I have had in a while. I recommend this eatery to everyone. The service was phenomenal!

Food was great, service was excellent, friendly and fairly quick. Prices were reasonable for the quality. I would def go back. The shrimp was breaded perfectly and tasty!

The atmosphere was very nice and our server was on top of his game (10 of us). Had the 2nd Street Burger with a Grit cake side and although the burger was cooked perfect and fresh tasting, to me the burger tasted bland and the whole thing fell apart before I could get 5 bites in. The Grit cake was very good! Since there was a bunch of us I got to try their Lemongrass Mussels (broth just tasted like salt water?) Fried Green Tomatoes, Veggie Flatbread, Fried Duck Rangoons, and 2nd St’s “Thai Poppin” Shrimp. The Rangoon’s & Shrimp were the winners of the day. Lastly, order one of their 2nd Street Classic drinks. The Bartender definitely knows what they are doing!! I will agree with my local counterparts in that this place is good especially for tourists, but nothing makes it stand out other than looking fancy.

This is one of my favorite restaurants to visit when in Williamsburg. We stopped in for a late lunch the other day and I decided to order the Salmon Burger with Fries. This was probably the largest and best salmon burger that I've ever had. The flavors were great and of course bacon always makes things better. Our server was also great. Highly recommend

I got the steak and that was probably the best steak I’ve had someone else cook me. The sauce that went with it was probably not the best paired but the steak stood on its own. I kid you not, the steak was so tender that I took a bit out of like it was a hamburger. The side were also amazing! The fried pickles were so good. I also enjoyed the atmosphere, was open yet felt inviting and sophisticated. You will not regret eating here.

Alison was such a delight. From appetizers to dessert was great. Stopped in for lunch and left happy and full. So if you get the chocolate cake, my guess it's to share. No worries I took the other half that I couldn't finish.

My husband and I left our date here raving about how good everything was! We really feasted! The food was excellent, and our server was great, checking in with us several times while we ate our meal. My husband got the French dip sandwich, which is enormous, and he said sooo good. I got a grilled ceasar salad with the bistro grilled steak. The salad was loaded with plenty of parmesan cheese shavings, the perfect amount of dressing, and a sweet balsamic glaze. The steak, also excellent. We tried the smoked gouda grit cakes on the side, and they were super yummy. Crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside. We took a carrot cake slice to go... it's huge! Highly recommend this spot for a nice date night you won't be disappointed in.

Hands down the best food we've had thus far on our trip! When you visit say hi to Campbell and ask to be seated in Dylan's section. They will make your experience at this restaurant. Make sure to order the Thai popin shrimp and the thick carrot cake! It will not let you down, this place is a must!

Wonder and unique food and drink. Martin, our server was excellent. Can you share the historical background of the room we were dining in, I was very accommodating. Dinner took about an hour and 45 minutes with courses. I’ve eaten here several times over the past 20 years and I’ve never had a bad experience.

We went for lunch and managed to get on the list before cut off time. We had about a 30 minutes wait for lunch but it was expected. I ordered the Chicken Hash and it was really good. I also loves that they had a "normal" kids menu. There were not a lot of people in the Tavern so I was a quiet lunch except for the bit of live music being playing in a few rooms. We love eating at the tavren. Also the Orange Gingered Punch for the table is great!

The service from George was very good, and the violinist was a nice touch (he was excellent). We were sad that they ran out of the game pye, but the prime rib was tasty, and the lamb fell off the bone. We loved the mushroom gratin, and the bread pudding was the best I have had. Fun atmosphere with colonial feel. Be sure to make reservations, or there is a good chance you will not get a table.

This is a high class establishment for a nice dinner. The food was delicious and portion sizes reasonable. Most of the items on the menu were not authentic to the colonial era but the waitress told us which ones were, and I ordered those (peanut soup appetizer, game pye entree, syllabub dessert). The decoration was very authentic to a colonial era tavern. It wasn't too crowded at 7:30 on a Sunday evening. Our service was good. Expect to pay at least $50-60 per person before tax and tip. Absolutely loved our visit to King's Arms Tavern. I believe our server was Jennifer and she did a wonderful job of taking care of us while sharing historical information. The food was fantastic. I thought the portions were good, my only complaint is that overall the prices were slightly on the pricey side but for a special occasion it was fine. Loved that they had a musician come play some music in each room. I had the lamb shank and my husband had the hunters game pie and would recommend both!

Went there for lunch for some period food. Had the beef stewed which is essentially short ribs. There pickled onions were great. The snow eggs and peanut butter pie were good for dessert. The Virginia bbq ham was more like pulled pork sandwich. It was a good experience to eat in colonial Williamsburg so was worth it.

If you're looking for a seafood restaurant which is casual, family friendly and has variety, Fast Tuna is a good choice. The quality of the seafood is great and the preparation is good. The service was really good and we could hear our server having some trouble with a request from another customer as they misunderstood that the clam pasta meant in shell clams so requested that the dish be taken back to the kitchen so that the shells be removed. When he understood the request he did have it done. The kitchen was a little slow and they could have seated customers further apart in the dining room as it is a big restaurant and not very full when we got there. Very enjoyable overall: local oysters on the half shell, fried oysters, tuna nachos. We would go again!

It was meh. Food tasted average. Son's tuna was medium well. Tasted dry, tough, tasteless. Husband and my fried seafood sandwiches were OK but nothing incredible. Cole slaw not sweet how I like. Fries seemed cold and tasteless. Sometimes you can't believe these 4 to 5 star ratings on Google.

Well. Let's get into this review. Walk up to the restaurant; not fancy, but you can tell it's been around for a while. That's an A+ for me. It was crazy crowded, so I expected some excellent seafood after a 30 min wait. The atmosphere is a date, not an issue; date to me means I definitely can expect good seafood because it is the quality of food that matters. Well. The crab seafood dip was flavorful, and the calamari was. I expected them to be spicy, as well as the dipping sauce. As a starter meal, you get a lot. My friend had blackened salmon that lacked flavored and mashed potatoes dry, but the mussels were Mussels. Nothing fancy. I wanted to like the cucumber martini. But the lime overpowered the drink, and the lemon drop was more sweet and tasted no alcohol. It's the experience that we went for; will we come back? For my visiting family members, it's a No for them; for myself, it's not a hard NO. 😊

Awesome seafood cooked perfectly! 🍤 I have taken my wife there twice, she ordered the same dish, shrimp and scallop pasta, and I am going there again to get a photo before she is licking the bowl clean! 😋 My dishes have been just as good! Great place for locals and tourists alike.

Both the quality of food and quality of service were exceptional! The Chesapeake Oysters, named for their topping of Chesapeake crab, were an excellent version to Oysters Rockefeller. My Whole Grilled Branzino was one of the best I have had. The hard char to the skin added layers of flavor that can easily be missed. The Steamship was one of the most flavorful traditional Steam Bakes I have ever enjoyed. And to add to these great dishes was the incredibly personable service we received from Heidi. Thanks!

Oysters, shrimps, lobster, clams, scallops and mussels are all very delicious. The serving portion is huge, wait time for food was normal and waiter was very attentive! 4 stars because 4 people crammed in a small table, it would have been nice if we have more room on table.

Excellent local oysters! Lots of dishes revolved around traditional seafood house items like creamy pastas, crab cakes etc, however all the seafood was perfectly cooked which sets this place apart. The Bloody Marys are also better than average.

Our second time while visiting Williamsburg with the family. First time was in 2017. Family friendly alternative to eating in Colonial Williamsburg. Great food, large potions and fair prices. Staff was friendly but our waitress was super busy. She got all the ordered correct and did a great job keeping up. I’d highly recommend Fat Tuna Grill and Oyster House. Food was fun and fresh.

I have driven by Fat Tuna several times, and I finally decided to give it a try. I was greeted with a warm welcome from the hostess. My server, Joyce, provided amazing customer service. Joyce was bubbly and answered all of my questions about the menu options, and she was great through my entire dinner experience. The restaurant provides hush puppies and a muffin while you wait for your order. I had the shrimp and scallop pasta and an Amber beer. I was really impressed. It was so flavorful, and it was a huge portion. The shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly! Truly a great meal! I’ll be back!

This was my favorite restaurant of our entire vacation. The food was savory, authentic, wonderful—no, it was just perfect. The calamari was perfect, the pasta was perfect, the wine was even perfect. Don’t forget the cannolis, by the way. I forgot to take photos of it, but they were very good.

We were on the road traveling to the beach and needed some Italian for dinner. It was 6:45 on a Friday night and all of the restaurants were full. We found Sal’s and had a modest 15 minute wait. The restaurant is large on the inside with several rooms in series. There is space for large groups and there were groups of 20 or more including a wedding rehearsal dinner behind us. We were surprised to still get excellent and personal service from our waiter. I enjoyed the special Super Grouper with a glass of Montepulciano. It was excellent! And my daughter had rigatoni with sausage in a creamy red sauce. We both enjoyed and we heard nothing but compliments from the many people around us. I recommend the food and the service, kid and group friendly, but not a place for a romantic date night. Enjoy!

The salad was basic. The bread was okay. The shells were great!, with fresh sauce and great use of cheese! The service was fast. The restaurant is quite large and decorated nicely. There is a variety of seating for different size groups. The murals outside are attractive.

Visting Williamsburg and heard great things about this place. Made a reservation for 6pm, we arrived, greeted and sat straightaway. Waiter was freindly and attentive, made recommendations and good came out piping hot and quickly. We love Italian food and this place was very authentic on taste and quality. We got peppers and sausage rigatoni, one dish of gluten free pasta with chicken and artichokes and eggplant sub. We all loved it and the check was very reasonable. If you are in Colonial Williamsburg or Bush Gardens, give this place a try.

We chose this place because it was open late, when we arrived after 9pm the place was still popping. Our server was excellent, the owner and/or manager is present in the dining area making sure costumers are happy. We ordered a philly sandwich, fettuccine, and pizza to share. We enjoyed it all. Reasonable prices.

The food was excellent, everything we ordered were on point and lived up to my high expectations. I'd say the only nitpick was that the bread wasn't warm and the waitress was a bit hard to understand. Even so we still enjoyed the experience and will definitely visit again.

First time and looking forward to going back. Love pizza and tried one of their specialty pizzas. Their Campagnole pizza was beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. We had great service which makes it even better.

This place is Amazing!! We walked in, and they were playing music from the Godfather. Oil paintings everywhere of sights around Italy. They had the sparkling wine, that was the brand we had at our wedding. The Four Cheese Tortellini was mouth watering good. Wow!! For dessert they also have Italian Lemon Cream Cake! Our local restaurant back home stopped serving it. We loved this place so much, if we ever travel down south, we will be sure to make a stop for dinner! Our waiter was friendly but a little slow. We think he was new there. The man at the register seemed to not care to hear me rave about the place.
