Had amazing long walk at this lovely beach which is half pebbles and half golden sand. Very clean beach and good facilities around such as toilets, food places, cafes & drink places etc. Deck chairs available on rent for the day. Nice to see lifeguards standby for any emergencies. Car parks near the beach and plenty of free parking further away. Good for all day fun as have plenty of entertainment and amusement around.

Such a beautiful beach, very sandy and long to walk along. There's a section on the beach for dogs which makes it great for dog owners to let dogs play in the sea and sand. There's a wide range of things to do along the sea front including punch and Judy stand near the clock tower end. Such a amazing beach well maintained by the Dorset Council.

Great place for families, lots of shops, restaurants and a little fair for children to enjoy 😄. The water is nice and clean, loads of people in the water doing all sorts of activities. The water was really shallow when we was there. There is always something to do in the area. I would recommend this beach to anyone we enjoyed it and love it here.

Sandy beach with calm sea. Shallow water which is suitable for the children. There is a dog beach near to Alexandra Garden - you will see a lot of dogs running around! Your phone signal might be zero or very weak depending on your telephone provider. Great fireworks display on a Monday evening at 9pm during August.

Wow what a stunning beach and beautiful views. Lots for the kids to do, rides on the beach, donkeys, Punch and Judy show, arcade and more rides, peddle boats. Lots of lovely places to eat ( cafes on the beach front ) fish and chips, pubs and lots of seafood restaurants. Nice shops to walk around as the beach is right near the town. Lots of B&Bs and pubs with rooms if you want to make a weekend of it. Best beach……….

Weymouth is a seaside town in Dorset. It is situated in what can be described as a sheltered bay at the mouth of the River Wey. Having visited both Bournemouth and Poole over the years, I felt it was time to visit Weymouth and I was pleasantly surprised. Positioned halfway along the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site, it is a fascinating area. Transport around the area is regular and frequent and can highly recommend the Jurassic Coaster tour bus as a way of exploring the immediate area. The beaches were clean and family friendly and the local shops cater for all needs and requirements. A most enjoyable seven days.

Brilliant beach, big, lovely soft golden sand. Not overcrowded, even on a hot sunny day. Plenty of reasonable price parking nearby. Close to the town centre and amenities. I actually think it's much better than Bournemouth.

Lovely sandy beach, very clean and good facilities nearby (toilets, food & drink etc). Loungers and deck chairs can be rented for the day and lifeguards are on hand for any emergencies. Plenty of car parks near the beach but plenty of other (cheaper or free) parking further away if you don't mind a short walk. Half the beach is pebbly and the other half is an amazing golden sandy beach with loads attraction. Overall Weymouth is amazing and definitely come back with the family.

I fell in love with Weymouth harbor the first time I was there. The vibe is so cool, vintage and chill. The seafood are so fresh, perfect for “summer time, mid July”

Been to harbour side for a walk. Such an elegant view from the bridge. Colourful buildings just amazing and making very different impact on the atmosphere around harbour area. Just beautiful place, water, blue sky, fishing boats, excellent pubs, nice eating places,happy people and charming atmosphere. I'm so happy that came to this place and spend my all day this lovely city.

Weymouth Harbour is a delightful area that is well worth a visit. The buildings along the waterside are brightly painted and very attractive. There are lots of food outlets on both sides of the harbour and also a couple of pubs. When we were there, there was a funfair at one end of the north side.

Weymouth Harbour is fascinating to visit. So much to see and do. There are boat trips of all types. There are great walks and things to see from here including Nothe gardens and Nothe Fort. There are lots of pubs and cafes. Also places to stay like holiday cottages.

I've visited Weymouth many times over half a century and always enjoy going. The beach is nice and sandy with facilities directly behind (toilets, food and drink etc). The extreme southern end is designated as the "dogs allowed" zone during the summer months (they are allowed all along the beach at other times). There is a park & ride but there are plenty of spaces at car parks in town (such as the Swannery car park which is about a 5 minute walk from the beach) and the train station is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the town which are all an easy walk from the beach as it's a small town. The harbour is very pretty and it's well worth the walk across the bridge to the other side (where there's more places to eat and other shops) as you can then walk up to the Napoleonic era fort for good views back over the bay.

Faaaaantastic!!! Food was superb, excursions absolutely worth it and it was even more picture postcard than we were expecting. The harbour is full of entertainment for all ages as is the beach front. I've never visited a more pristine beach, the sand was like white, soft flour between your toes and the sea was crystal clear. We took all of our excursions on the yellow speed boat.... exhilarating riding the waves. A little more expensive but definitely budget for it. If you like speed have a 20 minute Bay Blast, riding the waves and making donuts. The Wildlife excursion does not guarantee dolphins but if you're lucky, they do get up close and personal. We recommend the 10:00A:M visit as they come out to play because they haven't seen anyone all evening. Take a boat trip to Durdle Door, seeing it from the water gives you a whole new perspective and you understand why the locals call it the Water Dragon... also saves you a long steep hike to the beach. You are absolutely spoiled for beaches so why hike to one. We spent our checkout day at Lulworth Cove, an absolute must. Pretty as a postcard and great for watersports such as paddle boarding, rowing, snorkeling etc. This is a shingle beach so wear something on your feet and take something to sit on. Great cornish pasties, fish & chips and ice cream. Grab yourself an extra day's break.

Weymouth Harbour home of 2012 Olympic sailing. A holiday destination for many. With a sandy beach and shopping centre nearby everything is here. Fishing trips, sightseeing around the bay, visits to portland is available.

Love Weymouth Harbour and the nautical vibes . So charming, always beautiful restaurants to visit and amazing fresh Fish 🐟 dishes to try. Easily parking for an hour for a quick drink or bite. Visiting quite often and never disappointed. Great touch to see the lift of the bridge when boats passing by. Absolutely stunning views, beautiful colourful boats 🚢 and houses 🏘 Recommended to families with young kids for crab 🦀 fishing around the harbour. Nearby seaside town with lots of restaurants and fantastic sandy beaches ⛱️ Must visit for the summer months. Highly recommended.

Whilst staying in Weymouth on a last minute school holiday trip, we visited the Fort and it really helped keep the kids entertained for a good few hours. There are steps leading up to the Fort from different entrance points of the pier. I didn't see a suitable access point for a wheelchair user and inside there are steps up and down. For £1.20 you can buy a little notebook with pencil for kids to count the number of ceramic mice dotted around the place... keep an eye out :) This gives them a focus and instead of looking around old things they have a game to play, at the end she received a certificate for having fun! Happy bunny. The Cafe is reasonably well priced and has a good selection... the kids lunch bags make a good choice and things easier. Being a vegetarian the choice is limited but that's to be expected. It was lovely to see the Olympic medals 🏅 and my 7 year old also enjoyed the mice, food and tunnel. The staff were very friendly and patient. Definitely visit if you're in the area, even if it's just for a cup of tea and cake and a well deserved 5 minutes break.

Really nice example of a fort turned into a museum. Educational without being dry. Fantastic views of Weymouth and Portland from the ramparts. Decent cafe on site. A lot of the exhibitions focus on world war 2, with a few examples of nuclear war preparation. Overall a good place to spend a couple of hours, but not somewhere to spend the whole day. That said, the park on the run up to the fort is a lovely place to have a wander, and there is a play area for the kids.

Lovely day spent at Nothe Fort, as of the 15th September 2023 Nothe Fort included an annual pass with the entry ticket at no additional cost which was good value. Lots of history, fantastic views towards Weymouth and a super cafe. The gardens around the fort are well worth a visit with plenty of seating overlooking the sea. Lots of accessible parking close to the Fort. We will be back.

The Fort consists of an underground area displaying lots of facts and a ghost tunnel. It was very cold so wear something warm. A lift enabled my son and mum access to all areas. The middle area has a great tearoom supplying simple food, drinks and outside seating. The top of the Fort has incredible views of Weymouth and surrounding areas. There is a pretty park area to explore outside the Fort. Only one negative might be the entrance cost as some people might expect more for their money. For my family, the cost allowed free entry for carers which made the visit a reasonably priced day out.

This place was fantastic. Much better than we had anticipated. The volunteers that works here are super knowledgable and are willing to share that knowledge. Great little cafe is found inside the fort as well as modern toilets. Make sure if you visit you go to every part of the fort to make sure you learn of the role this place has played throughout its history. I also feel it would be a great place to bring kids as there are some interactive elements within the fort.

Brilliant place. Full of history. From its humble beginnings upto when it finished as a military post. All the staff friendly and knowledgeable. The models and dioramas on display were amazing. The Ghost tunnel impressive 👏 The is a lift from ground level to upstairs and below deck. The cafe good selection and reasonable prices. Toilets very clean and tidy.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. John in particular was great, giving us some background information and the best route to take around the Fort. They had a mouse hunt for the children which was lovely. Prices were very reasonable, entry and the gift shop. The cafe was clean and the food was with us quickly. Beautiful views and lots of information and different things to look at. Would definitely go again.

I agree with all the other positive reviews, Nothe Fort is definitely worth visiting. More entertaining than I expected and I also enjoyed the canon and gun firing demonstrations. Plenty to see inside and watch outside, allow a min of 2 hours to look around there is also a good value on site cafe.

Really liked this place, Good afternoon out. Very informative, great insite into the history of the area , Staff were also pleasant and informative. You must go downstairs to the Museum and the Maze of tunnels. Great views from the roof.

Went with my grandchildren for the Halloween experience. There was a magic show, wizard school where they made a magic potion, ghost tunnel and lots of other little activities all included in the entry price. And also the usual mouse hunt which we're hidden in the first; the kids love that. My daughter had bought a family season ticket in the summer when we visited (costing not much more than a single family entry ticket). We used this for the Halloween day. Excellent value. There's so much of interest to look at and do for adults and kids. The staff are all lovely and helpful. The scenery and views of Weymouth Bay and beyond are stunning. All in all a great day out and a must do if in Weymouth.

Superb place of interest and well run. I applaud the local authority for originally having the balls to take on this abandoned army fort and turn it into a tourist attraction. Run by local volunteers and restored beautifully for all to enjoy and learn about it's history. Gets the thumbs up from me.

Loved visiting this place. So much history. A good place for kids, but also a good place for us much mature kids. Interesting facts like they were building a nuclear bunker in secret while open to visitors in the 80's.

Great place to visit to see many types of Swan's and other birds around the lake area. There are also pens where Swan's and Cygnets are kept. Also a isolation pen for sick Swan's. And keep a lookout for a chance to see Bat's, Owls and other wildlife around the Swannery. Paths are Wheelchair friendly. There are a few Wheelchairs at the Swannery for use. But i recommend ringing them to check for availability.Also there is a Gift shop with something for everyone.The Cafe sells a wide variety of Food and Drink. A Picnic area is near the Cafe and also one near the lake.There is a Peddle Go-Cart area and also a play area for the children near the Cafe. Also a Swan Maze to try for fun.Reasonably priced entrance fee. Very helpful and friendly Staff. Highly Recommended for young and old nature lovers.

What a fantastic experience! This was my first visit, and the first time I've seen such a huge number of swans all together. Just inside the entrance, there's a thatched shelter with a small exhibition about the swannery. From here, level and easy paths took us past ponds and rearing pens to where we could view hundreds of swans out in the reed beds of the Fleet Lagoon. There are not only swans but also Canada geese, ducks, coots and moorhens. Did not get to see the swans being fed, but we watched two keepers demonstrating how to ring and weigh one. They gave us an interesting talk and it was obvious that they care very much about these birds. There's a wooden viewing platform, bird hide and exhibitions about local fishermen and crafts. Lovely views of the surrounding countryside too. It took us about an hour to walk all the way round at a leisurely pace. Be aware that the café, toilets and gift shop are all outside the swannery, a short distance before you get to the entrance.

A pretty unique and interesting place. The kids enjoyed being able to get close to swans and help to feed them. They also enjoyed the maze. Friendly and helpful staff. Certainly enough to do for a couple of hours. A very large number of swans, plus some other types of birds that can be spotted.

Took our grandson to see the swans & cygnets. He thought the cygnets were cute. He loved watching the geese pecking each other - thought it was hilarious! Good play area, gift shop and cafe. It's a bit of a walk from the entrance down to the swans' nesting area but there is a disabled car park closer.

Fabulous place to visit along with the Exotic Plants Garden at Abbotsbury. Wonderful to see the swans enjoying their food at feeding time. The staff gave an informative and entertaining commentary about the Swannery and their work with the wildlife.

Great experience! Don't miss it if you are a bird lover! It is a unique opportunity to approach swans so close. They are wild swans which makes the experience even more thrilling. Staff is lovely and eager to share their knowledge.

What a place! £12 entry per adult seems a bit too much, but it is worth the visit! Never seen soamy swans at one place, and the cygnets were jist hatching, so lovely! The walls are very well arranged and overall just a lovely place to visit. Loved it!

Lovely place to visit. Season ticket for here and Abbotsbury very reasonable and if you are a family of 5 and visit more than once a year, only a little more than a day ticket if visiting both attractions. Usually the children can feed swans bur due to bird flu could not though staff gave a great informative talk whilst we watched the feeding and spotted the black swan!. A good walk and a pumpkins and halloween trail was good entertainment do the kids as we visited over half term. The children also enjoyed the go karts.

What a wonderful experience being able to be so close to these magnificent creatures. We were lucky enough to see a baby swan hatching from its egg. The staff really care for these animals and the feeding is a lovely moment if you’re so lucky to be one of the few to do that.

Brilliant place to go when there are signets about. They have birds of prey, 3 black swans, geese, ducks, moorhens and absolutely stunning views. The walks are calming and beautiful. You can feed the non breeding swans too. There are toilets, a café, nice shop with not just souvenirs actual good stuff and it is cheap to get in. Very tight lanes to travel down to get to this place but worth it.

Delightful find. We visited in March, not ideal for summer style swaths of colour but nonetheless this place was really beautiful and still had plenty of colour. We abandoned the suggested white arrow route and meandered our way around but still covered every section. Awesome coastal viewpoint was an unexpected bonus. Cafe was running limited options on the day but still had a good cake selection and other snacks. Pleasant and friendly staff and free parking!

Absolutely beautiful place, so peaceful and tranquil to walk around, superb service from all staff members, brilliant gift shop, and plant shop. Cafe has wonderful coffee and cakes. And all dog friendly. Definitely worth a visit and it should get 10 stars if possible.

These gardens are absolutely stunning! If you are in the area they're a must see! The hill was a struggle for me but the view is worth the effort! We stopped for a light snack and drink, which we would have preferred proper cutlery and crockery at the prices, but that was our only gripe. Highly recommend ☺️

A beautiful garden full of winding paths and slopes. There are paths suitable for wheelchairs but if you have an electric one available this would be preferable. Loved the sculptures from childhood books. Would recommend taking a picnic as the cafe is very expensive.

The illuminations were beautiful. We were lucky with the weather it was a cold crisp night, with clear starlit skies. A lovely backdrop to the gardens lit with a spectacular light show. The illuminations covered a good percentage of the gardens, and lots to see, including a straw werewolf tied to a tree! Finished off with a hot chocolate in the Restaurant.. a thoroughly enjoyable winter evening. The photos I've added don't give the experience full credit, but maybe give an idea of what to expect.

A very peaceful and enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours. Ample free car parking and very clean facilities. The colonial tea room is a lovely feature where outdoor tables will be lovely when the weather warms up, though there are sun trap areas for those brighter seasonal days.

It's like walking through a shady tropical jungle. At the end you've got an amazing look out point to the sea. The only tricky bit is that toilets are available only at the entrance. I find it a bit challenging finding the exit. But overall, it's an amazing shady garden, a very unique experience. It takes about 1.5 hours to look around I'm the garden. Dogs are allowed on lead. The cafe at the entrance offers loads of snacks, cakes with gluten-free options.

Beautiful oasis if tropical plants with lovely views and little surprises around corners. The rope bridge and view of Chesil Beach are not to be missed. A very enjoyable 2-3 hours wandering around. See if you can spot the Lady Amherst's Pheasant!

Beautiful gardens filled with lush tropical planting. Pools and waterways crossed by bridges including an impressive rope bridge. Dogs on leads welcome. Although hilly, the paths are negotiable with a wheeled walker as well as wheelchairs. The tea room is dog friendly inside and out but only open 12-2:30. Good food but ran out of pasties before 1:30. Some shaded seating outside. Extensive plant centre, and a nice gift shop too. Free parking across the road.

Lovely place! Beautiful grounds and really loved the various statues of Alice in Wonderland scattered amongst the various walks. A stunning place where the groundskeepers work very hard to maintain. A little surprise was the resident kookaburra, such a loud voice! 😄 A really lovely, inexpensive gift shop too where I purchesed some delicious fudge. We sat and had lunch outside the cafe, which has a large variety of homemade sandwiches and cakes. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We went back the next day for lunch again.

Beautiful and historic gardens,with many winding trails and impressive trees. Worth a bit of a climb to the Jurassic view point for one of the best views of the whole of Lyme Bay. Don't miss the walk across the Burma rope bridge. Nice cafe and courtyard for a snack.

This is a better than average sea front restaurant. We booked ahead, but there was plenty of space for the people that turned up and asked for a table. Unlike many "Italian" restaurants, the staff here really are Italian. The walls are decorated with period Italian black and white photos, but not excessively so. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was good. My wife had pasta and I had steak, both were good. The selection of beer was limited but the wine list seemed quite extensive. It was a good visit.

This really is a classy Italian restaurant in a classy location and I highly recommend it. The venue soon had me day dreaming of my travels around Italy, the Vista,aroma of wine,cheese and Italian cooking in the air soon had me day dreaming of my travels around Italy. I ate alone and was seated with a view of Weymouth Bay, I was seated literally 50 feet from the high water mark and the view was fantastic. I could look out and watch the sail boats and ships sailing around the bay. I ate my last rights meal Spaghetti bolognese " this meal means a lot to me so it has to be good" and I had a home made Cherry and Almond tart for desert and both were out of this world. The staff were friendly fun and not only willing to engage in conversation but willing to share memories and stories and it made me feel I was eating with family. My last comment is about etiquette, I eat my spaghetti with a spoon and a fork and as soon as I ordered spaghetti a spoon was placed on the table for this purpose so they get a five star rating from me. Fantastic and I will return!!!!

Safe to say this is the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to! Waiters were friendly, polite and were very helpful when it came to identifying safe foods for certain allergies. The care and love put into the food is clearly shown through its flavour and presentation. The fiance even went as far to say this is the closest to Italy you could probably get without going there yourself! High praise!

Good Italian food done simply. We came on a busy night that the service was perhaps rushed. Nevertheless, the main pasta meals did not disappoint - we had fruitti de mare, luccullo and linguini with prawns. The calamari starter, however, was a bit of a letdown as it was rubbery and batter was bland. Overall, a satisfying meal that everyone enjoyed and talked about.

We were here without a booking, the staffs are friendly and allocate us a table. Foods are great. I think the side dishes definitely worth to try. Kids meal is a bit too expensive. The crab was amazing! The staff show us where they raise the oysters. We ordered 6. They are fresh and with crunchiness. Crab bisque is good as well. The price meet the quality and service expectations.

We visited the Crab House Cafe for a family dinner in early July. This really is an excellent seafood restaurant. Service certainly came with a smile and the quality of the food was superb. The food was very fresh indeed and we could watch it being cooked. I had the oysters, seafood bhaji's and the lobster all of which were fabulous. They catered for a six-year old very well and we all thought the whole experience was excellent. Two further things to note are that the homemade bread is lovely and parking just outside the front door is very easy.

Decided to have lunch. I had a nice Chicken, Ham and Leek pie with roasted new potatoes. My friend had a crab sandwich. We both had 2 coffees and shared a slice of cake. £37 Friendly efficient staff. Plenty of parking - £1.50 for 2 hours.

My wife loves sea food and I had heard good things about the Crab House Cafe, so I decided to surprise her with a lunch time date. I did book a table a few weeks ahead and I would recommend pre booking as it's very popular and does get busy. I can totally understand why it gets so busy, the food was amazing. I had the mussels in white wine and garlic sauce for starters. They were so fresh and tasty, I definitely recommend them. For mains, I had Hake which was also extremely fresh and tasty. My wife had the Chinese Style Spicy Crab which was huge. Before ordering she asked about the size and was taken through to see how big they were, which was a nice touch. I have to say, the staff were extremely friendly and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant!

We were visiting from Australia, so have high expectations when it comes to seafood. It is always a joy to outside, overlooking the oyster beds while exploring local delicacies on the table. The sustainability and seasonal approach to presenting simple, local food to a high standard was just one highlight. The fish crackling was an outstanding bar snack, and I will never get over using a hammer to split the crabs apart. It would have been nice to know you're supposed to out the crabs in the provided plastic bag BEFORE you smash them. The on house gins were different and both delicious. Having an opportunity to taste both straight up and with a side of tonic to self administer is always appreciated. For a birthday lunch for my 92 year old aunt which included children, this was an experience we will always remember. Thank you for making it so special by just doing what you do.

I had an inkling this was a real gem of an establishment via YouTuber "stars" Kirsten & Joerg and it was firmly put on one's foodie bucket list promptly(only had 1 on there 😉). Well, what can I say but the food, ambience and service was exquisite and exceeded expectations - I like really like the fact that the dishes chosen were naturally Keto friendly and low carb with the cauliflower rice(pleasantly surprised:) which compliments the curry, beautifully - Dorset's best kept secret, perhaps? Throughly enjoyed and appreciated all 3 courses of lunch, compliments to the chef and all front of house members of the team(what a superb team dynamic you have there). Finally, I let my pics do the talking!

When you see the staff so happy and joyful in their work you know that the food will reflect their love for the job. Can hand on heart say we had the best meal here, absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, worth every penny. To think I'm not so keen on fish dishes, I would eat here at every opportunity. Then again, don't start me on the cheese board..local cheese which was just mega. Sure you could spend £40 a head quite easy, but food like this who cares take my money :)

Came here for lunch - got the crab to crack and some other items off the usual menu. The atmosphere was really nice and the staff super attentive and sweet. Food was delicious and the novelty of the crab to crack was great! Highly recommend

It is a good burger place, a bit pricey but quality is also high. We played mini golf after dinner. Mini golf was £2.5 per person. We enjoyed our time there.

The best burger I’ve ever had. If you’re a burger fan then this place is a must! The burger was to die for I had the “dirty moo” the meat was seasoned perfectly and the bun was the perfect amount of bread to the burger. All five of us were super impressed. A good range of bitters for my husband so he was happy. It wasn’t overly expensive, but for the quality I expected it to be more expensive than it was.

If I could rate 6 stars, I would. Absolutely mind blowing burgers, and the coleslaw is so so on point! We had the dirty moo and the porker, as well as the biscoff cheesecake and the raspberry roulade. Cannot fault any of them. Impeccable service with a smile and accommodating staff, still wearing masks and operating for covid security (greatly appreciated). What more to ask for?

Very friendly staff and a lovely decor. The menu looks great. The food was not as good unfortunately. Burger was great but the bun was stodgy, the lettuce was wilted and the poor coleslaw looked like it had been sat out most of the day. Onion rings were excellent.

amazing food, good quality beef and fast service but not in a cheap fast food way, definitely made with love! Quick service but never felt rushed. The servers are super friendly, bearded man with glasses and tatts is an absolutely lovely chap, dessert menu was drool worthy! Lovely clean spacious toilets and beautiful interior decor of the place, wish we weren't just passing through so we could visit again!

Visited TDBC Saturday for my birthday with my wife and baby. The staff were super friendly, offered a high chair for our little one immediately and explained the way they worked things really well. The atmosphere was really relaxed and the food....well, it was phenomenal. The ‘Triple Meat Burger’ was delicious. Quite easily one of the tastiest, melt in your mouth burgers I’ve ever had. My wife’s food was superb and the desserts were really good too! Keep up the great work guys.

Probably the Best Burger restaurant I have ever been to! You cannot compare this to a normal Burger restaurant. This is a specialist place which only provide the finest quality and service! If you are ever in Weymouth, and enjoy a burger, come here. You will not be dissapointed and will be kicking goyrself if you leave without experiencing this. I honestly couldn't praise this place more. One of the best restaurants I have ever been to!

Brilliant place. We went for dinner and were served by Mike who was super and kept us smiling. The food was delicious! Burgers are large, flavourful and creative. Our food came out in really good time. My sister is vegan and commented and what a fantastic array of vegan menu options there were. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely wonderful place. Friendly staff, delicious food, fantastic service. We're staying at Haven holiday park and I would recommend that anyone looking for a good meal and lovely settings come here. Thank you to all the staff for making it a wonderful meal 😋

We first met Jo Owen (the Manager) on holiday in Kenya back in 2018. It took us four years, but we finally took her up on her kind offer and visited The Springhead (and her lovely Mum Vera) last weekend. I don’t honestly know where to start. It is quite simply THE best Pub I have had the good fortune to visit (and believe me it’s been quite a few)! 😉 The warm welcome, decor, ambience, food & drink were all exceptional. If you haven’t been, you need to visit asap - I promise you won’t be disappointed! 🦆😊

We had amazing night. Service and food were amazing. The ambiance of pub was brilliant. Staff were so friendly. Especially, Mollie was amazing. She had very positive energy, very nice service during our dining time. She has been helpful. Thank you all :)

Really enjoyed this experience. Food was good. They had a list of food of what they didn't have so you were pre warned. Food was fresh, cooked to your liking and staff really helpful. Staff member Georgia really helpful what a star👌👌👌 PLEASE BE AWARE that your beereater card has to be swiped BEFORE payment as some staff were doing it after and points were not going on. Staff member Georgia had to sort this out for us to the amount of nearly 700 points. Will definitely go back.

I've not been to Beefeater Weymouth for a few years now and so we thought we'd check it out as we were nearby and hungry... and unfortunately I probably wont be back any time soon. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't worth the visit either. Food: The steaks was ok, tasted good, cooked correctly but the blue cheese sauce was definitely not blue cheese sauce, the corn wedges looked a little lost in the bowl, oh and what happened to the cool looking cow sauce pourer things? Service: The service was great as we walked in but ended as soon as we ordered. The venue: Well it's clear that head office has forgotten about Weymouth. The place is in need of some maintenance as it's looking a little tired and tatty, more so on the outside. All in all, it was a very average and over priced experience which used to be much better. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The menu has enough meals on it to satisfy each person's requirements while not being too bulky to confuse anyone with too many choices . The prices were decent, the presentation of the food was done well, and the meals - from breakfast to dessert - were delicious. I enjoyed the portions of each meal as they were cooked well and kept us satisfied. We were greeted by a member of staff upon entry to the restaurant who guided us to our table. The staff were quick to take our orders once we were settled and were cordial as they served us, checking in at least once to find out how we were doing. The tables were cleared and cleaned after people had their meals. The restaurant is large enough to accommodate multiple people at a time without making it crowded and causing people to bump into each other. Large windows allow plenty of natural light to illuminate the restaurant during the day and the lighting at night is sufficient for one to feel comfortable. Music playing over the speakers is not too loud, allowing for others to have their conversations. The images on the walls of the different animals contain puns which I found delightful, and the paint is a neutral colour, inviting one to enjoy their meal in peace.

Plus point was a great waitress Caroline. Bad points not sure where to begin. Unfriendly greeter at front desk . Chicken main dish not available. Very slow service for drinks. Dry gammon on one main dish. Watery gravy on second main dish. Unavailable third dish. Beige desert Staff standing around chatting instead of looking after customers. Zero ambience, no music, no chattering, nothing. Such a disappointing evening. 😞

Weymouth Beefeater is a welcoming venue and staff are great! The food is pretty good. I had a sirloin steak which was nice but the blue cheese sauce I also ordered wasn’t good (tasted like it was from a packet?). My wife had a steak salad dish which was also pretty good. All in all the food is ok but would not rush back, unfortunately.

We're local to this Beefeater and have eaten here many times. The food is always really good and this visit was no exception. The only reason I've marked the food down a star is because the hot dog roll was a little dry, but other than that all of our group's food was lovely. The service and atmosphere was good as always. I also love visiting here as I get 25% off with my Blue Light Card.

July 5th 2023.4 adults. Meal booked for 19:00 we arrived at 18:45 waited twenty minutes to be seated due to lack of staff finally taken to table and told someone would be with us shortly to take drinks order (at no time were we told of a waiting time ) Half an hour went past and someone came to take our order . We placed drinks and meal order and WAITED no drinks came we questioned it several times then an HOUR LATER our starter turned up HOORAY but still no drinks so we questioned it again even offered to go to the bar and get them ( told they were in hand ) which hand … It would have been quicker to catch the bus to Wetherspoons in town and bring them back to the Beefeater OMG. We finished the starter still no Drinks one of us went to the Bar and asked again we were told they were really Busy mmmmm and told we had been informed of delay in service on arrival and we argued that we had not been told anything at all . PROBLEM was people were coming in and going to the bar for drinks and the Barman was serving and chatting to these instead of them saying no service at the Bar only table service and maybe we would have received our drinks quicker. Any way the drinks arrived and then the main course mmmm 2 mixed Grills. One steak , and one Salmon meal. My mixed Grill the steak , chips, onion rings were cold.this was taken away and returned 10 minutes later the onion rings were missing, the small piece of salad was shrivelled after being microwaved it was a 4 oz steak and full of gristle as photo the steak knife would not cut through one large piece.I showed this to the manager . My Wife’s steak meal did not have the tomato as listed and her side salad was like a finger cleansing bowl looked unhealthy. The Guy that served us said that Beefeater had cut the serving staff down to 3 and they were struggling but that does not excuse the food being total rubbish. Other people were also complaining about the wait a couple next to us S.M.E. in at 18:00 they said and waited an hour for the plates to be removed and order a starter … in total 3 hours.Also a family of 8 had been waiting since 6 and the young Children were getting irritable as they were Hungry. Second drink we went to the Bar and ordered it far quicker In All A TERRIBLE experience and especially when we were celebrating a Birthday in the group We live in Weymouth and went here because it’s easy on the Bus route and usually the service is not to bad and the Food is Good We will think twice in the Future Time in Beefeater Weymouth 3.5 hours mostly waiting time usual time 1.5 hours REALLY

breakfast was ok. came at 9:30 (hour b4 end of breakfast) and there were no cups, bread, orange juice & all the pastrys were burnt. Not worth £9.50 a breakfast

Half of the restaurant was empty, but the lady tells us that there were no tables available. Seems staff lazy to serve customers. Wouldn't have visited here looking at the poor ratings, but since it was next to Premier Inn where we were staying and we were tired. Went to Famous Old Spa pub neaf by - better food and prices. Guess they did us a favour turning us away.

I had a steak and my wife Gammon. The food was excellent, as was the service and staff. The place was busy, but not too busy. Well done all, really enjoyed the meal. This was the best steak I have had in recent years.
