Wow just wow. The states could learn a thing or two about how a museum should present itself to the people. The exhibition was amazing. The interactiveness for children were plentiful. Kids and adults will learn so much from this place. Parking was a breeze and the staff was super friendly. They do offer early admission which we bought. It’s worth it to get there before the mob. Just a fun place to spend a morning.

Took the kids(4-12yrs) there for a trip during the holidays. They were very engaged with all of the exhibits and we ended up staying longer then expected. Lots of changes since we last visited so always new and interesting things to explore. Some sections were closed off with new exhibits being installed, but still plenty there to keep you intrigued. As always the ANZAC exhibit is phenomenal and well worth it!!!

One of the best museums I have ever visited. The National Museum of New Zealand, it houses amazing collections, stories, displays, and experience that will cater the interests of young and old. I really enjoy Galipoli exhibition with incredible details, well curated displays and heart-touching stories. The sections about nature and the stories of Māori and New Zealand are also very rich in information and entertaining at the same time. The can touch and feel and learn many things related to nature and lives surrounding us. My kids also enjoy our visit here and happy to go back. It is very disability friendly with ramps in many areas. It has cafes and the souvenir shops are also great. Parking is available at the surrounding area.

No one should miss this place. It's brilliant, informative, innovative, interactive, cool, and so on. I barely finished checking level 2 in 2 hrs. I will still come back to see other things and learn more. I love this place and I highly recommend. It is free and spacious.

If you like museums, this is a must. Learning the history of the country walking through it's incredible exhibits is a great experience. We saw the giant jellyfish and that was whoah! How is that not an alien!? Incredible!

What an absolutely phenomenal experience. The museum is completely free to visit, you just have to pay for parking. It only cost me $10 for 3 hours. But there is probably free parking in town, you would just have to walk over. The museum is very accommodating. It has accessibility and normal toilets, parents rooms, kids play rooms, lockers, money machines, cafes, a souvenir store, stairs and lifts. The museum itself is just incredible. With 6 entire floors to explore you could literally spend days here. It also has such a huge variety of exhibits that accommodates to all ages. My favourite floor was the animals and nature. From games for kids to dinosaurs, giants squids and an earthquake room... it was just such an amazing experience. I would highly recommend a visit.

I recently visited this museum with my family and was thoroughly impressed by my experience. The museum had a wonderful collection of artifacts and exhibits that were both informative and engaging. The displays were well-curated and offered a fascinating glimpse into various aspects of history and culture. One thing that stood out to me was the attention to detail in the exhibits. Each item was carefully labeled and explained, which made it easy to understand the significance and context of each artifact. The staff was also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, providing additional information and answering any questions I had. The museum was also very well-maintained and clean, which added to the overall experience. There are 4 floors, and the layout was easy to navigate. There were plenty of interactive exhibits that kept me engaged throughout my visit. Overall, I would highly recommend Te papa to anyone interested in history, art, or culture. It's a great place to learn something new and gain a deeper appreciation for the world around us

Just another ride... We were thrilled about the ride in the Cable car. It's cool to know that this Cable car has been around for 120 years, an icon of Wellington City. It is really a ride on an antique but I'm sure there were many refurbishment and maintenance. We weren't sure the timing so we were pretty late when we started our ride and we just miss the museum by 4 minutes. They closed at 5pm. But we were able to catch some activities at the Space Place at Carter Observatory (Science museum) and saw some cool stuffs. A 150 years old telescope is really the main highlight for our trip up the hill. Unfortunately, to be able to see the beautiful night sky, we have to prepare to walk down the hill as the Cable car cease its operation at 7pm. And the journey down hill can be very challenging for some. It gets very cold in the night in Wellington. I must state that the view on the top of the hill is picturesque. This is really a worthwhile one trip of a lifetime kind of thing and I don't think I will ride the Cable car again.

The cable car ride is an absolute must if you're in Wellington, even if only for the afternoon. Two trams go up and down all day which means there's only ever 5 minute wait at either end. The views, the art murals but mostly the LED lit tunnels make this a unique experience. Trams are immaculately presented with retro charm in wood floors and vinyl seats. Our drivers were approachable, chatty and friendly. Botanical gardens, a planetarium and a cafè all provide bonus extras at the summit.

WOW , we took the cable car to the top and could not believe that this is in the heart of the city. The views are spectacular, it takes about 5 mins to get to the top but there are other options for getting off at two stops along the way and exploring. There is a gorgeous cafe at the top where we had a delightful breakfast. Also up there is the Cable Car history museum which tells you all about it and well worth a visit. Go on get in there and try it yourself

The cable car was a blast! We paid only for the ride up — a 6-minute ride offering stunning views of the city, and at the top we enjoyed exploring the well-done small museum. There is a cafe at the top with great views as well. Some people buy return tickets, but we were very happy we chose to walk back to the CBD through the botanical garden and cemetery. It was definitely worth the price of the ticket and it was fun!

Great place to walk around and have some good fresh breeze of air. There is a lot of place to explore within the botanical gardens. The cable car is a one time experience, even though a small trip. Its a big wonder that they were able to have a cable car from many decades. The view of the city of wellington is great from the cable car with tunnels lighten up.

Nice little ride up a hill to a view point. The tunnels have colored lights. There is a cafe at the top as well. It costs $9 round trip. There is a ticket window and you can pay cash or credit card. Locals can use their bus card.

Lovely gardens here, never fails to impress no matter how often I go. The variety here and the amount of work that goes into maintaining a garden of this size is astounding. Suggest making the observatory part of your exploration when you go here.

Beautiful flowers and plants. It's such a fabulous idea to take the cable car from the top and then take a walk down the Botanical Gardens. If you have kids, there is a lovely playground on the way down. A short walk about 10 minutes or so to the Parliament house. Then back to rest of the city for our rest at the hotel.

Wellington Botanic Garden in Wellington Visited on 31/1/2019 Wellington Botanic Garden in Wellington Visited on 31/1/2019 After reaching the peak at the Kelbourn Station by Wellington Cable Car, the only way to go is ls down. Our party of 4 is glad that instead of riding the cable car for a return trip, the alternative option is much better, that is, to enjoy a slow walk through the winding paths of the Wellington Botanic Garden. From an elevation of 125 m, or lower down the slope, we can see the breathtaking panaromic views of the city and harbour in the distance. There are shady paths, and open fields. There are big native exotic trees, ferns and colourful displays of flowers. It is just a sensational.

Stunning, stunning gardens in the heart of Wellington. I spent a few hours wandering from front to back & taking photos before heading to the Cafe for a wonderful cold Kombutcha and scrumptious meal. A highlight was a visit to the Space Place on top of the hill not far from the Cable Car which was a fun way to start my day seeing the amazing views of Wellington. It was a beautiful warm & NOT windy day.

A lot of things to do and see in this place, wanna take a walk, enjoy nature, have a picnic and so on. This place has benches to sit some cafe and different place to explore specific things😁. Just look at the pictures. Enjoy.

Very pretty but wish there had been more and better signage. It felt like the map did not have the same trail names. In the greenhouses, some information on the plant names or types would have been appreciated.

My wife and I went here while visiting Wellington. It was recommended by our receptionist in our hotel. The gardens are beautiful and are well maintained. You can easily spend a few hours here enjoying the different gardens. The duck pond is nice to relax at and the rose garden was beautiful and well kept.

Love the Wellington Botanical Gardens. We went for the light show and live music. These gardens really are unique. There is lots of trees and random paths to explore. If you are looking for a good photo backdrop, this place is perfect. Lots of spaces for a different look, without having to move too far. Toilets were clean and well lit. Parking can be a challenge. You can push a wheelchair through a bit of the gardens but it is limited before you have hills to deal with

Wellington Botanical Garden is exceptional. Its beautifully curated plant life, impeccable maintenance, and enjoyable cable car ride make it the best botanical garden I've ever visited. Absolutely a must-see in Wellington!

Was a great day walking around . We took our time looking around . Took about four hours. Will go back. Cable car on gold card then free bus to Zealandia and back to cable car. Staff were amazing .

Loved Zealandia. The Takahe for me was the definite highlight. The walking was easy although there's a few challenging sections but the trails are well explained. I wish I had enough time to do the night tour! Maybe next time. The only sour part of our experience was the beginning at the welcome desk. As soon as we paid she turned around without much of explanation. We thought perhaps she was getting us a map but a quick run down of what the attractions are, what we could do, and the bag check area process would have been helpful. Other than that, we were very pleased with our experience. We look forward to going back again sometime in the future.

Beautiful place. Honestly didn't expect to enjoy it as much as we did! Surrounded by birdsong, great little mini-talks scheduled throughout the day (thanks Kathy!), good hiking trails and lots to see - $24 for admission is very reasonable 👌 Top tip: The Twilight and night tours were booked out when we tried to book, so book in advance if you want to see kiwi about at night!

What an amazing spot! We loved the hike, even in the winter weather—and saw so many bird friends. And a reptile! Our family went on the electric boat ride. That guide was knowledgeable and helpful in understanding the complexities of running this place!! I would highly recommend a visit. Had we been there in time we’d have taken a guided tour. As it was, we felt lucky to see what we did and what a respite from conventional sight seeing! If I were a local I’d be there every week, for sure. Thanks for what you’re doing in providing sanctuary for these lovely friends. Keep up the good work.

There's quite a lot to see here, even if it is just taking the time to listen and be quiet while waiting for the birds to come to you. Really calm and peaceful and on a nice day there is a lot of green and blue to be seen. I really enjoyed my visit and would say this is a must-do for any nature lover in Wellington.

A little pricey but worth visiting. Lots of easy walks and some harder trails for the fitter folk. The view from the dam (with the winds) is quite breathtaking. The cafe isn’t very impressive food-wise but a pretty good gift shop and rather accessibility-friendly activity for the day. We spent 2-2.5hours here, possibly would’ve been longer if we weren’t on a schedule.

With it’s ingenious fencing, this very much feels like a scaled down version of Jurassic Park. And I loved it. It’s a beautiful spot, teeming with native birds. It’s a haven away from the busy metropolis of Wellington CBD. Excellent thought out walk ways and informatics around the park. I was able to spot a few of the famous residents 😊

Zelandia was an awesome time. We got there early for our tour and enjoyed the café upstairs. After that, our tour guide, Julia let us on an amazing voyage, that we could not believe was in the middle of the city. Very jealous I don’t have anything like this where I live. Everyone must definitely check it out if they come through Wellington.

What a magical place! We saw so many different birds, and just listening to them sing was wonderful. The walking path immerses you into the forest so you're surrounded by the bird calls. We went in winter and it was still incredibly lush and active. We skipped the guided tour and were still able to identify almost every bird on our map. Highly recommend! The cafe and gift store are lovely too.

the tour was super cool and super informative. it was interesting seeing the places i always see on tv like the debating chamber and the place where press conferences happen. i would have liked to see the earthquake proof structure things but unfortunately due to covid restrictions we couldnt do that. it was quite a tiring walk so i would suggest eating and drinking before going

Bee hive is a globally recognized parliament building and is a must place to visit. PLEASE register yourself for guided tours (bookings in advance recommended). You will love the 1 hour tour, and it will give you a glimpse of the various blocks inside the building, taking you through both time and history. I had a great time with my guide, Catherine. She was so friendly, lovely, and enthusiastic about giving us all a pleasant tour. Big shout out to her for a great job. Two small giveaways, the Mace is slightly over 8kgs, and there is a timecapsule with a Playstation inside hidden somewhere in the parliament building. 😀

New Zealand Parliament Buildings at Wellington Visited on 31/1/2019 New Zealand Parliament Buildings consist of the Edwardian neoclassical-style Parliament House; the Parliamentary Library; the executive wing, and Bowen House. Instead of extending the existing parliament house, the government architect persuaded the Prime Minister to approve a modern building. In 1964, a Scottish architect provided the original conceptual design of a 10-storey round building rising in steps. It also has 4 storeys below ground level. This forms the Executive Wing, the most contemporary of them all, is referred to colloquially as "The Beehive" due to its distinctive shape. Although it is eye catching and very appealing, it does not appear majestic and grand from the street level.

The restaurant was awesome. Was abit dubious when I came up the stairs but was pleasantly surprised. The decor, lights ambience was great. Waiter very attentive and cocktail rosebud special were delicious. 2 for 1. The food was tasty, the sauce packed a good punch in the burger. Huge disappointment were the verges that appeared to be from frozen with a drizzle of sauce. Would not recommended and detracted from giving it 5 stars.

Come on, Chow, you can do better than that. Much better. A lot better. First impression was good. The line into Chow. The vibe. The décor. The crowd. The other reviews I read before coming in. The waiter/usher who brought me to my table. That’s it; it all slowly went downhill after that. My table was sticky; it felt like it was not cleaned thoroughly from the previous service. The restaurant's cleanliness was meh. The food was decent. The cocktail was fair, and the dumplings and the fried chicken were worth it. All these matter to a certain degree, but I believe the service and the attitude matter equally, if not more. During the whole meal I felt that I was perceived as almost nonexistent, as on several occasions I would like to add an order, add water, or inquire on something, after making eye contact/raising my hand/trying to gain attention with separate staff members, after a few saw me, they simply passed by me and continued onward without even stopping. If almost all other similar-style restaurants in the country are able to engage continuous interaction with the guest for the whole duration of the service, I think it’s fair for me to point out this oddity. The majority of the staff pretty much just disappeared with 20 minutes remaining before the restaurant closes. The waitress who initially took my order was gone like a wind since the very first order. I added another bao bun after the first round of my dish. Sitting within reaching distance of the serving hatch, I watched the last remaining staff pass by my bun ten to twenty times without anyone bothered noticing it. It was left there on the counter for over 15 minutes. The staff who took my added order didn’t care to bring me my food even though he passed by the food several times; he simply took some to-go food and left. Later, I was told that all but one staff just returned this week from getting covid, and I am sorry to hear that, I truly am, yet it still should not be a reason for the lack of professionalism. Being in the service industry is hard. Being a waiter/waitress is not easy. However, if the aforementioned health condition is hindering any/all your ability to perform your job, I believe not just me but every customer and everyone who cares for their/your wellbeing, that I rather have you stay home and get some rest and recuperate to your full capability before returning. I think it would be quite unreasonable if I am to work with my sub-par health condition, especially since it’s covid. While there were compensations in the end, I hope and I believe this is not the way to conclude any service. Parting with guests via “sorry” and apologies does not go a long way. I rather pay the full amount or even order more expensive items from the menu and have a good night, than have to go through this unfortunately dreadful, hopefully a one-time-thing dinner. While the following should not be any way of a factor in how I should be received, this first-time experience to Chow just made my first week in moving back to NZ for the first time in over 20 years extra peculiar. Being said, I don’t want to be treated any special. I am not and should not be a special customer. I just and should just be ANOTHER customer. Treat everyone EQUALLY. Unless this is the way Chow has been treating the patrons, then please carry on. But based on my observation sitting at possibly one of the busiest intersections in the restaurant for over an hour, it was not the case. Finally I would like to thank Mere, the only staff in the end for the love of god who finally acknowledged me and tended me for hearing out my dissatisfaction. I appreciate being understood and provided the best explanation possible for their performance this evening. And I was promised the next time will be better. I have your word. Chow, I hope this is just one, if not the only, outliers of your performance, as opposed to most of your other reviews. I hope my next experience will be better. The only way now is up, right? (Including photos of the bun sitting there waiting to be picked up)

The staff here are incredible. We went on a night when pretty much every seat was full and everyone was run off thier feet, yet we still received fantastic service from our waitress. All the food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. We particularly loved the squid!

Chow is a safe go-to experience for dining with friends from out of town but only if you're feeling flush for cash, as it does add up. Going for the 2 4 1 cocktails on a Saturday is ideal but you will be told (once you've ordered) you're limited on time - which isn't great for enjoying a nice relaxing meal with friends. The food is great, but doesn't feel like the menu changes much. Cocktails are a lot of fun. Staff can be a little hit and miss but it's a huge place so they're dealing with huge numbers of tables

Great little place to celebrate and try a variety of dishes. We had dinner to celebrate a mate graduating on Tuesday and they had 2 for 1 cocktails (Rosebud) which was great especially on a work night to share amongst the group. Between the four of us we spent approx. $75 each for food and drinks and we still had some of the food left😊

Absolutely amazing place. Food is so fresh, and I love the idea of sharing plates. You get to try everything. Save some room for their gorgeous cocktails, so refreshing. Chow never disapoint. Prepare to be impressed!!

Great food - My only issue was the service, had a few servers and a few of them weren’t sure about the Gluten free options and questions seem to pass from server to server. In the end the manager(?) was serving us. I also couldn’t help to feel that we were judged based on our look and age cuz everything went friendlier when we paid lol. We had a few platter of oysters, starters and mains (only took a few photos). All delicious as anticipated but perhaps the service was a little less smooth so 4 stars

Truly well and disappointed that I chose Shed 5 as my last meal in Welly. First of all, the service really sucked. Our waiter was mellow and struck us as very dispassionate about his job. Our meals - the Fish and Chips and Miso Market Fish - while tasty (but really, I've had better elsewhere), took forever to get served. Not even sorry. I took the liberty to order our dessert earlier to avoid a long wait and this was even before we finished our mains. Mr. Dispassionate took the order and I mentioned that I'd like the service faster hence placing the order early. No dessert came. We asked twice and told that we were in a bit of a hurry. I was so frustrated, I cancelled the order. They were unapologetic. Only mentioned "Yeah your desserts were held back by that table with a large dessert order." That's really beside the point? At least tell me I have to wait long so I can decide better instead of making me wait for nothing?? Very unpleasant experience for a place that was highly recommended.

Excellent food, excellent wine,excellent waiters,duck was slightly overcooked, but delicious food will definitely be going back. Went back a second time and once again was absolutely delicious had the 55 day aged steak for main and it was the nicest dish I have ever eaten,highly highly recommend shed 5,excellent food,excellent staff,excellent price

Perfect location for a special occasion. A birthday dinner provided the perfect opportunity to view a range of dishes, but I think my lamb dish won the day. Deliciously tender and aromatic. And because I’m an old man, I want for the roast banana desert to satisfy the sweet tooth. Hit all the spots.

This place is fantastic. The food and service are superb. The chowder is the best I’ve ever had and the fish of the day was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and simply delicious. My wife had the fish and chips and she said it was excellent too there’s a good wine choice and it’s all fairly priced. The staff are well trained and presented. The place has a nice buzz, but it’s also intimate. If you like fish, this takes some beating.

Loved the pre-show WOW menu experience. The service was very attentive. The restaurant phoned earlier in the day to move our arrival time 45min earlier to ensure we were not rushed and could make it to the show on time. The food was lovely (fish and lamb) though neither of us managed to finish our desserts (chocolate and cheese) as we were too full. Extensive wine selection. Lovely atmosphere with the water views.

Just had another fabulous lunch at Shed5. As always, the food and service was superb but today we had an especially bubbly and fun wait person who made our day. She was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and everything was done with humor and fun. The Bluff oysters were sublime (thanks Geoff) . Our table enjoyed the calamari, tuna crudo, seafood chowder, risotto and a perfectly cooked steak followed by some excellent cheese and accompaniments. Great food, great seaside location and a stunning Wellington day. Who could ask for more.

Lovely room on the water. Mostly good service. Good bread, although you pay for it. Fish and chips was nothing amazing, with the triple cooked chips a bit soggy. The pannacotta had a nice wobble.

The ambience and atmosphere was great and the staff were kind. Unfortunately the food was a bit of a let down. The meal started with 2 types of breads and 2 different butters, both were delicious. For the entree I got the Chevre & Nettle Tortellone Rabbit Bolognese and it was delicious. Unfortunately that was the last delicious part of the meal. For my main I got the Apple Glazed Duck Breast and it was a disappointment, the only good part was the Shiitake Terrine and I don't even like mushrooms. For my dessert I got the Feijoa Parfait and it was revolting. Unfortunately I was looking forward to this meal quite a bit and was ultimately let down.

This was an incredible dinner, both in the sense of food and service. They made one small mistake and went completely out of their way to fix it in the kindest way possible. The location is beautiful and there is a nice ambiance. The tasting menu is very well-priced, especially considering that you get very good-sized portions - we both left feeling very full. I can really see why this is an award-winning restaurant! (I have just one photo of the dessert, but all of the food was great)

The $75 three course menu was excellent value for money for gourmet-Master-Chef-quality food. I had the red onion tart, then pork belly main and espresso mousse dessert with broccolini and garlic mushroom sides. We also got 2 pieces of freshly made bread and their 2 options of amazing, creamy, flavoured butter. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were really friendly, professional, neatly dressed and knowledgeable about the food, and the restaurant was bustling with lots of customers. Highly recommended. I'd definitely go back again. 😀👍

We went to this place for dinner. You have to reserve ahead of time to get in. Preset menu looks good, and all dishes looked like a piece of art. However, nothing special in terms of taste. Fish was too dry and didn’t resonate with the rest of each dish. Dessert was too sweet. If it were not for the good look of the food and excellent service, I would give it 2 stars.

Very impressed. High quality flavour some food which was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Service was great. This was a fantastic food experience that I would recommend to anyone staying in Wellington. We will definitely be back.

So, I wanted to write this review closer to another public holiday, because for sure people will start looking at reviews. If you're in Wellington for Queen's birthday and want to go somewhere special GO TO LOGAN BROWN. From the decor, to the menu, to the service, our experience was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Even though the place was busy, the servers were all friendly and helpful, and one even offered to take a photo of my friend and I, which I really appreciated. The food was also amazing! Their 3 course menu had amazing options and the portions were big enough to be filling and very much worth the price. They were accommodating, professional and so very hospitable. I would definitely go there again. Many thanks to Ajay, who provided us such amazing hospitality that my friend and I couldn't stop talking about our meal at Logan Brown for days on end. You've elevated our experience and made it truly special.

Long overdue review of Ortega. This is based on when we visited in January. We are creatures of habit so we came here 2 nights in a row after a fantastic meal of seafood consisting of oyster, ceviche, mussel - definitely try the teeny weeny French toast fish sandwich - and great wine selection. Place was popular with locals since it was packed on both days. Great vibe too. Shoutout to the owner Davey and bartender Frederico for making us feel at home and for introducing us to some special wines!

Absolutely delicious food and beautiful cocktails, the best negronis I've had in Wellington and Probably the best service also..a faultless dining experience we can't wait to come back.

Easily the best restaurant in Wellington, maybe even the country. Have been there many times, as it used to be an annual treat for my family, and have never had a disappointing night. I have gotten the garlic shrimp every single time and will continue to as it is just that good. the sauce is incredibly creamy and has the perfect level of garlic taste. Something I have only had once but highly recommend is the gnocchi. I have never seen gnocchi like what they serve, it's just incredible what they manage to achieve with such a simple meal. The outside had a paper thin layer of crispiness, and the inside had the texture of melted cheese. When I first bit into one, I didn't believe it was the gnocchi. It was also served with oyster mushrooms, which tasted beautiful. That dish may have been the nicest food I have had in my life. They also serve some of the best cocktails I, and everyone in my family, have ever seen. I ordered the Tokyo Rose and, when he tried it, my brother said it was the nicest sweet cocktail he ever had. Later, I ordered an espresso martini and it was incredible. Firstly, it was delicious, but the presentation took it to the next level. It had a swirl of what looked like caramel on op, with small hearts. A beautiful and incredibly impressive drink, as that visual is almost impossible to achieve t that quality.

One of the best meals I've had in Wellington hands down....great service, friendly staff and the food is next level refined, balanced and delicious. A cracking drinks menu with a fun vibe....definitely be going back.

Ortega was a recommendation from an Auckland chef and we were not disappointed. Firstly, the staff were exemplary, friendly, knowledgeable and everyone of them was in attendance. The wine recommendations were appreciated and the menu was a hard to choose. No food envy from anyone though as all the meals were ample and thoroughly delicious. This is a highly recommend!

This restaurant was amazing! The service was excellent and the food was up there with the best we have had and we like to eat out a lot :) Highly recommend! There is nothing we would fault.

The food is delicious. It’s so much more than just a steakhouse. Every bite of food was sensational, the flavours were melt in your mouth good. The service was amazing, friendly, attentive and added to the wonderful atmosphere. I also thought the prices were very reasonable for what you got. Big fan, will definitely be back

Dinner was exceptional. Every morsel a delight. Atmosphere was fun and energetic. Stella, our server, was pleasant and attentive, everyone on staff helped each other out. It was a great experience and a fun place.

Excellent service , head straight from airport and the staff offer to store my luggage. The best lamb dish i ever had and i am not the lamb go to person .

3.5 stars. Enjoyed our meal here for the most part. Ordered a second hot chocolate because the first was so good. Partner had the burger and it was very good but not any better than a very good $20 burger elsewhere. The gnocchi was delicious. However, one of the staff, well, stank. I noted it to another staff member who said he would tell the manager. The young and rank gentleman did not change his shirt at any point. If I had to pay full price (had a gift card; this is not our usual type of place), I would have been pretty disappointed. It's got a great look but, yeah, staff should be clean! Also, I always forget in fancy restaurants that even though they say tap water and sparkling water as if they're equal options, remember that sparkling water costs a fortune. Eleven bucks! Probably won't go back.

You can never go wrong with dining here! Such a great experience with great food for the price! Don’t be fooled with the size of the steaks. Me and my brother got two sides to share and couldn’t finish them! Portion size is great even though it does look on the smaller size. Great red wine selection but unfortunately I would stay away from their cocktails.

We ate and had drinks here tonight and everything was wonderful we arrived early so had a drink at the bar before heading to our table the bartender, Jack was making lime juice and was enthusiastic to tell us his process as well as giving us a taste and even brought over some lemon juice for us to try at the table later in the night! (It was delicious and sustainable btw) our server was Ben and he was absolutely wonderful throughout the night very attentive, professional but kind and friendly. The food was beautiful and the drinks were too especially the negroni I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a lovely night out!

Perfect as always. A team lunch celebration of venison, beef, sides, plus affogato to seal the meal. Otty our host was spot on with recommendations with pairing drinks as well as great banter. If you're looking to impress or just want a memorable meal, CN knows their stuff.

We had a lovely dinner, both had the eye fillet and it was delicious, melt in your mouth type of delicious. The peas had bacon and parmesan through them, they were crunchy, a little salty but just yummy. James was our server for the evening and he was the best, kept us laughing, made a great pitch for the menu (had answers for majority of the things we asked) and bonus he introduced me to a really good Pinot Noir. Shout out to burn cottage, i am your newest fan! We finished the night with the Tarte Tartin to share and it was the perfect size to share for two. It was the perfect temperature no resistance when sliced so cooked through really well and not too sweet, just yummy! We really enjoyed our evening the atmosphere was vibrant a great mix of a crowd, the food spectacular and the service was excellent!

Great restaurant for yummy food very delicious. Deserves all the great reviews it has received. Get there early as you can’t book as it fills up fast.

Wow, I can't believe how good the Scotch Fillet (medium rare with peppercorn sauce) at Charley Noble's was. Not only that, the tempura oysters too. Everything his is soooo good. the service, the buzz, the setting, it all just works. Stella and Cathy totally looked after us so no doubt we will be back!
