We booked a tour and the you get a wine tasting at the end in their bar. The tour was really interesting and with audio guides you can choose how much and what you wish to listen to. I recommend it. Then you can access the garden with the bar and the shop. The tour include the tasting of the 2 cheapest wine they produce. But if you want to eat something - even nuts- you have to order. We did not particularly like the shop, full of expensive merchandise. But the tour is indeed interesting.

I really liked that it was a self guided tour. That way you can go at your own pace and dive as deep into the details as suits your interests. And they do provide a lot of detail, covering Taylor’s history, the Douro Valley, and of course port itself from the vine to the glass. We concluded with the tasting in the lovely garden, serenaded by the resident rooster and peacock. We supplemented the tasting with a 20 year tawny port (wonderful) and a selection of cheeses, olives and bread with olive oil from their estate (we’re taking a bottle home). Most enjoyable.

We only took part in the tasting of Port on the veranda and really enjoyed the experience. The staff were very welcoming and informative. The family of peacocks were really putting on a show with plenty of family drama. It was early February but warm in the sun and the magnolias were blossoming. I appreciated the insect hotel exhibit and the port was amazing.

As a non-drinker, my first visit to a wine cellar was uncertain territory. But at Taylor's, the experience was unexpectedly delightful. Their self-guided audio tour allowed me to explore at my own pace, although I stumbled momentarily when I missed an audio session. The tour covered the company's history and the nuances of port wine impressively, with great photo opportunities along the way. The tour concluded with a beautiful garden for wine tasting, accompanied by impeccable service. If you've never tried it, I highly recommend this unique experience.

The tour was amazing as it tells you everything about port wine making and its history. One part was about smelling the different aromas that port wine could have. The tasting was in a beautiful garden with a peacock and a rooster joining joining in. Highly recommended! The only negative point was the rude receptionist that was yelling at guests as soon as they step in. We thought about instantly turning around and leaving but luckily we didn't.

Took an audio tour here for 20 euros per person. Was very informative and lots to see and here about. Really nice to see in the caves and get a whiff of the angels share. Nice place to sit at the end to enjoy your two glasses of port. And a can of chip dry and tonic to take away with you. If it is sunny, the gardens will be beautiful to sit in with a nice glass of port. Think we will be looking for the two ports we tried at the airport on the way home. The staff in the tasting room were very polite and informative.

Graham’s wine tasting was a very pleasant experience! Our guide was very knowledgeable and excited about wine. He was able to answer all our questions in a funny and informative way. The tasting itself was nice, we went for the vintage room which had much nicer vibe than the main tasting room and the wine was tasty! We went to Graham’s in September, but I felt like I wanted to write a review as we really enjoyed our time in there.

Amazing location, views and beautifully designed building and terraces…what a shame about the service! The terrace is split between dining and relaxed seating and almost segregates guests. We wanted to wait for dining but cannot snack or eat on the terrace (except for a couple of bites available). No table service, you wait at the bar for your drinks that you pay for before taking your own drinks back to the seating. No update on the table so after 2 hours of waiting we left. A real shame as the setting is amazing and well thought out! It could be so great!

This is probably the best high-end, luxury Port wine tasting that we’ve done. You have to make reservations for the tour, with a great Port wine tasing at the end. Graham’s is probably our favorite Port wine, although we’re always discovering! Sometimes we’re in the mood for simple, cheaper Port wines. But when we want something really outstanding, we usually go with Graham’s.

Graham's has the most beautiful views to enjoy from their tasting room. The staff we encountered were not only friendly but also very knowledgeable. They always have a Vintage of the day available by glass for 10€ which is a great way to try a Vintage without committing to an entire bottle. There is a restaurant on the same property, Vinum, and it also has a cocktail patio to enjoy the breathtaking views. The walk up to Graham's is not as easy as some of the other port houses but it is worth it.

What an experience!! A morning tour and tasting became lunch at Vinum. The walk there is all uphill and the signage can be confusing to get to the tasting reception, which is at the rear of the the venue. However once inside, I was spoilt with the history and passion behind Graham's which I was unaware of. We were blessed to have Monica as our guide who is a fountain of knowledge, but second to her passion, love and enthusiasm for Port that she's happy to pass on to anyone that will listen. She did our tour in immaculate English and she's an asset to Graham's and their establishment. This is worth the time that you can spend here and there was not a single bad port out of the 7 tasted. The history, passion and attention to details and perfection is passed along from the brand, put into bottles and inherent in their staff. Service was good at the tour, tasting and restaurant. Regarding pricing seen in a previous review, I took photo's of prices of the bottles I wanted at other stores I went past in Porto prior to this tasting, and found the pricing cheaper per bottle at the on site shop. If you're passionate about heritage, life and Port, then please visit and hope that you get Monica as your guide!

Graham's is a top Port wine lodge in Porto. The tasting experience starts off with a video presentation that takes you through the history of the company and how it came to be one of the most iconic Port wine brands today. You are then guided on a tour of the active cellars, right in amongst all the barrels and vats of port wine. It's dark, musty and a delightful experience. The tour guide gives more information about the wines and answers any questions along the way. To end off the experience you are taken to the tasting room where you can sample all of the port wines you learned about. Each from different ages and prices. Add to this some cheeses and tapas and you have a very enjoyable experience that not only teaches you all about the port wine industry but allows you to sample all the wines before you buy. The terrace is a love spot to enjoy a light meal and more wine (as you now which one you prefer and can confidently order more), and features a sweeping view of the beautiful douro river and city of Porto.

Very nice port wine cellar, on the Gaia side of Porto. The location is on the mountain with a great view of Porto. Noble ambience and very nice garden. In addition, class wines and friendly service. Unfortunately, we had too little time, we would have liked to stay longer. If we visit Porto again, we will come back!

I was positively surprised by this. The tour was interesting and while a little cheesy with the don outfit it was entertaining and the guide was open to any questions related to port. The tasting was good too - great to taste a few options side by side. Wish the chocolate tasting tour wasn't as expensive, though - would've loved to try that but not at €60.

We We’re staying nearby & after reading a couple of guidebooks, decided this was the best port lodge tour for us. We opted for the 1790 tour which lasts about an hour, after which, you get to taste 6 different Sandman port wines. The tour itself was interesting and informative. Our guides English was good, he was knowledgeable and entertaining. I can recommend this tour.

The tour was good and a good price. I would buy online before. People tried to walk in and weren’t able to get in because the tour was full. The tour is a good length only about an hour and then the tasting after is pretty quick. Also if you take the time in the morning but the later one just know you will be hurried out because the places closes for lunch. So when we went we didn’t have a long time only like 20 min. You get three tastings at the end and it’s good then you can go through the store. I probably wouldn’t return only because there are so many to see but it was good.

Decided to have a break from drinking so popped in for a couple of Ruby Ports. Oldsters like me remember Orson Wells advertising this Port at Christmas.. met group from our home village...young people! Lovely outdoor area.

Before coming to Porto, my knowledge regarding Porto wine was limited to Calem. Me and my wife wanted to visit a wine cellar and were intrigued by the silhouette of Sandeman looming over the quays. And what a good visit ! For 17€, we discovered the chilly wine cellars and had a taste of 3 different portos (all of them delicious). We loved it !

I’ve sat outside on a chilly evening enjoying two glasses of port. Tawny from recommendation of the barman and then a ruby. Waiters are knowledgeable and provide world class service. It was hands down the best service I received in Portugal. Make sure you pop in for a tasting of their own port while enjoying the view!

Great tour we did book in advance before our trip. We got in right away, we loved the service , the experience , seeing some very interesting items and finally tasting our port wines! Truly delicious. We loved sandeman!

Took the English tour which lasted abt an hour and the sample tasting for 10Y, 20Y, 30Y and 40Y Tawny. Informative session on the difference between Tawny and Ruby as well as the history of it. Love port wines. If you have no time to visit Douro Valley, this cellar visit is probably the next best alternative since it is conveniently located.

I visited the English tour which was very interesting. The tour guide's knowledge was very good and she had a clear answer to everything. We tasted three types of port and received clear explanations and history with each bottle.

Short but interesting tour of the different port styles and how they are made and stored. After the tour there are three glasses of Porto waiting: Branco, Tawny and LBV. All very delicious and refined. If you are looking for a short and interesting experience in Porto I would definitely recommend this tour as it is only ~17 euros (for adults).

At first, we were quite confused while deciding which cellars to visit to discover more about Porto. But after some research we decided to go to Ferreira's and we're not disappointed. O the contrary, the tour lasts about 1 hour and the guide was amazing. He gave us a lot of interesting details about the different varieties of Porto and how they are produced. The cellars themselves are amazing, very particular environment and really make you feel the importance of Porto wine. At the end of the classic tour, they let you try three chalices of Porto (3 different types) and they were akl very good. Recommended!

Go for the tour and tasting, it's super interesting if you like port, history and stories. But DON'T buy anything at the store, they charge appr. 50% more than market price for the port. I found the Dona Antonia Reserve Tawny at EUR 10.90 in stores in Lisbon, at least 5 euros less than I paid after the tour, and it made me feel like an idiot.

great tour. very knowledgeable guide, who was passionate about enjoying Port wine we ended up buying two bottles in the store. we bought the tour tickets ahead on line.

We had participated on an English guided tour with discount with Porto card. It is worth to call them, they can book you places on the tour, which ends with port tasting. It was very nice, our guide was funny and informative, worth a visit!

A bit of a climb up to the top, but nothing too strenuous for most, you can get great views of Luis bridge, the Douro river and Porto from this vantage point. If you don't feel like walking up, you can pay for a vehicle to take you up. The elevated spot is close to the bridge and definitely worth going up for great elevated views when admiring the bridge.

This is the best place for sunset and is only a short walk up the hill from the entrance. There's seating available, but standing along the railings provides fantastic views around and across to Porto.

I believe this is the best chance to get a good perspective of the bridge. The walk by the rear stairs is worthy if you prefer keeping yourself active. No costs for this visit. The place has being recently restored and offers a more comfortable stay while photoshooting the landscape. No costs added, just a great view.

Another great restaurant in Porto and well located right in front of the Douro valley. Porto has countless restaurants with fresh & delicious plates. This restaurant is one of them. I don't have any complaint towards service. The staff did great. You can't go wrong with this restaurant.

Excellent food, we were walking along the river and checking out the restaurants- this one had the best rating and no line, it did not disappoint ! Loved the clams, fried green beans and a beef stew dish ! And there was street musician too ! We had port and cheese after, the bill came out a little high but without, it would be totally reasonable and great value by the river !

Food is just phenomenal. Friendly service. Rustic deco. Right by the river in Gaia so there’s ample opportunity to see the view. They don’t take reservation so take this into account if you’re there during high season!

We had an early dinner (recommended if you don’t like queues) with various dishes and port of course. Had a bit of a harder time here with the gluten-free dishes, but after some back and forth we managed to order. Everything we had was delicious and tasted fresh. It’s more to the pricier side, but due to its location.

The restaurant is very nice in the inside, good atmosphere it almost feels like your inside an old tavern. The food was in general very tasty and the deserts as well. We had a port Sangria for the first time there and I recommend it. For main dishes we had the shrimps (check photo) the sauce was amazing. A little spicy but not much. Also had clams which were absolutely delicious. Then we finished with the “tachinho” (small pan) but I admit was waiting for something a little larger for 20 eur. The flavor was good but the portion was just too small for the price. The staff was in general very welcoming.

The experience was really nice. The service was really good. We had sea food rissoles, suckling pig rissoles, beef cheeks, sea food rice and chorizo with typical bread. Everything was really tasty, but the beef cheeks were a bit disappointing as the sauce was too sweet. Had they been cooking in plain wine, it would have worked better. Everything else was well cooked, and delicious. If you like sweetness in a savory dish, then the beef cheeks are a good choice. For us, it was the low part of a very good food experience.

Nice place, good service, a bit expensive, probably for the location. Very impressed with the Francesinha, a Portuguese sandwich that originates from Porto. It’s a large sandwich filled with layers of beef steak, cured meat, fresh sausages, topped with cheese, covered with a beer, Porto , other secret ingredients of the place, sauce.

Fist of all, our quadruped host, she was a delight, always attentive and very friendly, guarding the tables and checking if everyone is having a great time!! As for the food, absolutely delicious!!! The octopus, cod and the gizzards are a must!! House's wine a very nice delight for the price! The place is great. The food is amazing, and there are good traditional recipes. The personal is very, very kind and nice. The guy who is something like a head of the waiters, saloon manager or restaurant manager is a star!

This restaurant lives up to its rating. Delicious food on the side of the Douro with a view on both Luis I bridge and the sunset. We went with a cod and a duck dish and I must say the duck, though not one of their specialties, absolutely blew us away with how delicious it is.

Fantastic place. It deserves 6 stars, if not more. Delicious food, probably the best bacalao I've had in Porto, friendly staff, great atmosphere and incredible view. Personally, I loved the cod in port, so I recommend it. Traditional dishes are also worth trying. Special thanks to manager Pedro who ensures that all guests have the best experience.

We had a fantastic time dining at Bacalhoeiro last month while we were in Porto. Our server Gabriel was professional and attentive, very knowledgable of both the food and drink options and I really appreciate that he would not stop with suggestions until I found the perfect wine that I liked to pair with my meal. The fried cod balls, creamy fish soup and their signature Codburger were all enjoyable but the star of the evening for us was the Cod in Port Wine - the sweet and salty pairing was an exquisite gastronomic experience. This restaurant is not to be missed if you are in Porto/Vila Nova de Gaia - lovely ambience while experiencing unique cod fish dishes!

Eat here! The bacalhau is amazing! We had bacalhau com natas And The half portion of bacalhau à Zé Pipo and both meals were beyond our expectations. The portions are generous and the desserts are equally excellent. Try the chocolate mousse and also the pudim with quijo da Serra.... Totally worth the calories, you'll be thinking about both of them for a long long time.

The place is in a very touristic zone, but the concept is interesting (almost all the plates are based on 1 product: Cod fish aka Bacalhau). We went there for lunch, the place was full and the service was really quick, attentive and gave great recommendations. The menu has also other options for who doesn't like cod fish. We ordered different plates to share: 3 starters, 1 soup and 1 main course. The food tasted good overall, and even if all the dishes contained the same main ingredient, the food was still enjoyable. The only bad things about this place are the horrible toilets and the table placements (they are too close to each other and the people sitting on the couch have it difficult to eat and enter/exit the table.

The atmosphere and service are definitely nice, but the food was a bit underwhelming for the price range. Nothing bad, but also nothing special. The view from the terrace is great though.

Very nice place to eat excellent cod/bacalhau. Perfect service with a good timing. We had a little family celebration and we’re lucky to meet the Portuguese president there. He had dinner with the Bulgarian president. So I would assume locals will recommend it 😉. Needs reservation!

Excellent Portuguese fish menu. Large portions and delicious food. The price is above average, but everything corresponds to the quality. Very good service!

Amazing food. Amazing service. Refined food that packs a punch of flavour. I had a dessert that was based on pumpkin and almonds which sounded bizarre but after the great meal I had it piqued my interested. What a great decision. If you don’t eat here when visiting here you’re missing out.

We tried 4 different types of bacalhau and they were all very tasty! One of us even had a codburger, which I had never heard of before and was very good. The place is very busy, so expect to wait in the queue on weekends, but it will be worth it.

Have to leave 3 stars. Food in the direction 4/5 - Central European prices but with eye for detail. Service a 2 star at best. Took ages for a table, many many are free so a questionable seat allocation is happening there. Plus no smiles and joys seen from the staff unfortunately - which is normally the common joy for restaurant visits in Porto!

For the price the menu is not the best. The quality of the food is great but the menu is not creative or well put together and when asked directly to the staff if the menu has changes throughout the year, they said the tasting menu is different every 4 months. Not true. (2nd time I go there) The staff was not the best, we even got 2 dishes served at the same time. The staff needs more training, no information about the dishes or wrong information... A big step to get the star

Stunning view! Food was lovely, the fish and seafood soup to start was perfect. Steak with flat bread was more like a salad but still very tasty. Tuna main was delicious. Octopus a bit rich, also the spinach with the octopus tasted a little saltier then the spinach side. Service attentive and professional. View from the dining room is stunning.

Fabulous service, great views, and good food. There were 4 of us and we all had the Vinum fixed price menu. I'd order all the courses again except for the streak; while the streak was beautifully cooked and presented, we found it to be way too chewy. I had to chew my first bite for about a minute before i could swallow it. The pineapple dessert was crazy delicious.

We went to Vinum on a recommendation from our hotel and couldn't have been happier. The cod croquette might be one of the best things I've ever eaten. All the food, plus the Vino Verdhe and the port, was exceptionally good. Plus, the views from the restaurant of the bridge and city are outstanding.

Restaurant at Graham's port house. Great selection of ports by the glass and bottle, of course. We were with a group, so fixed menu. Appetizer and Dessert were excellent. Beef entre was very tough (never order beef in Europe). Great service! Great views of Porto!

So salty...salt even in salad. Food quality is normal but not cheap. Great view. Just drinking port at balcony will be enough.

Truly wonderful experience. Gorgeous atmosphere and views, our group did the set menu with wine pairings. Food is simple and excellently prepared and fresh, wine is delicious and generous with their pours, service and staff were friendly, efficient and cheerful. Absolutely recommend for a lunch or dinner or even just a glass of port to take in the scenery

Very beautiful view up the mountain overlooking the city. The fish soup was the best fish soup I’ve ever had. The suckling pig came a close second. Would definitely recommend these 2 dishes. Very good choice of wines and the port wine was amazing - highly recommend the 40 year port and the 1974 port. Take a taxi to the restaurant, the walk is quite difficult especially in the hot weather.

Seems the hotel staff only replies to reviews... so here is mine. 5 stars for location and views. Fabulous views, rooms all look out onto the river. Very beautiful property. 3.5 stars for the room. Great view as I said, comfortable bed, spacious room. Shower is unsafe. 1 star. I got stuck inside because the door closes so tight it cannot be opened by the small coin sized knob. Funny yes, but sadly true. 5 stars for the bellman and front staff 1 for other staff. I called 6 times for fresh towels and pillows our first night. Finally one hour later received them. I sent an email which was never answered. I just would expect better service from this quality hotel. No reply to an email is unacceptable in my opinion.

If you are visiting Porto this the best hotel to stay at. The rooms are immaculate and well appointed. Stay in the rooms with the private patios overlooking Porto. The gastronomic restaurant was fabulous. 2 Michelin stars and well worth it. Made our trip to Portugal very memorable indeed.

I cant say enough about The Yeatman Hotel in Porto, Portugal!! 5 stars isn’t enough! From the moment we arrived and were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine (espumante in Portugal) to the huge/luxurious room with a 180 degree view of beautiful Porto, to the delicious breakfast, the infinity pool, the wonderful service! I could go on and on! We will for SURE be back in the future!!

An absolutely incredible hotel with breathtaking views! All rooms face Porto and have what must be the best views in the city. The executive chef earned two Michelin stars for their signature restaurant and heads all cuisine in the hotel. It's a hotel for wine lovers with a wine-themed spa, an extensive (!) cellar, and all types of cool wine events. This hotel should be on very wine-lover's bucket list. It is stunningly gorgeous!

The hotel is beautiful and very well located. The rooms are a great size, and the staff are lovely and helpful. We spent 4 nights here and ended up spending most of our time here, eating in the evening in the bar and going to the pool etc as it is such a relaxing place to spend your time! We are very much hoping to come again in future.

We came for the Day Spa Experience witj afternoon tea included. At 90€ each which includes a couple of hours use of the spa facilities, indoor pool with panoramic Porto views, 30 minute massage and afternoon tea with sparkling wine. I would just say if you book with dietary requirements do confirm they have received this. They had not received my request for a vegan tea but we were kindly invited back. Staff were very friendly and helpful too.

Come to the Yeatman even if you don’t live here! The bar has gorgeous views of Porto, and there is a michelin restaurant here as well! Our server Jorge (who just joined couple of weeks ago) took really good care of making sure that we enjoy our time at the outdoor bar. He suggested wines that were one of the best that I ever tried! Recommend asking about the rosé!

The view and location are fantastic. The breakfast is very good. The rooms are very comfortable with the best view in the whole world. They are a little outdated but quiet. The air conditioners should be serviced because each time I have stayed the air could not cool the room and the unit smelled musty. The room was not "hot", but I prefer much cooler than what was available to me and felt that at this price range I should be able to sleep in a cool room. I also think they should not put enormous reed diffusers in the rooms. The smell is overpowering. The staff are extremely kind and I really appreciate them. Both restaurants and bar have great food. Common areas comfortable and valet parking safe and simple. The location is really very central and you can walk to everything. It's easy to get a taxi at the hotel, too. The only things I did not like were the spa and the lunch and tour at Taylor's. The spa was dark, very slippery, and most of it did not work. It is too complicated to go to the spa with going out from the reception to get a key, special sandals, and the changing room isn't very well equipped. The indoor pool area is frighteningly slippery (their special sandals were great though). I don't know if my experience was related to the improvements that were going on around the gym and spa but I wasn't impressed. The Taylor's tour and lunch were not very good and I do not recommend purchasing them with a room rate.

We stayed at The Yeatman for our honeymoon. The hotel is beautiful, our terrace had an amazing view and the pool was divine. They also kept the hotel very clean. Months ago, I reached out about having a dinner on our terrace for our last night and was so looking forward to it. I’m a vegetarian and made sure they were aware. Unfortunately, the dinner was incredibly disappointing for me (so much so that they took it off the bill once I told them what the 3 courses were… a couple pieces of vegetables). My husband said his meal with delicious and he had large bowls of rice and potatoes with his meat so I’m not sure why mine just a couple of pieces of veggies. All we could do was laugh at the difference between our meals We also found dead spiders in our room and there was long black hair on the carpet, which was not ours, as well as some hair in the bathroom that was never cleaned The hotel was so beautiful but for the price, I’m not sure if we would be back.

The Yeatman definitely cares about hospitality and guest satisfaction, so for the staff alone I would award the hotel 5 stars. The rooms are a bit older and show their age, so some upgrades might be appreciated, such as more electronic outlets and refreshed carpet (our suite had some stains on the floor). Views are breathtaking and morning breakfast was lovely, though not very exciting and mostly standard cuisine (would have enjoyed more Portuguese food). Unfortunately the only reason I cannot award a perfect score is because my partner had a bad incident of food poisoning that ruined an entire day of our trip. The hotel was extremely gracious and kind to us and took care of it the best they could. I would recommend that when dining at the hotel, to always ask how the food is prepared so you can understand all ingredients and possible dietary risk. Another thing to note is that it appears that the gym was recently updated and the treadmills and equipment are refreshed since the old reviews. I am very serious about maintaining my exercise routine and found the facilities to be excellent. Another bonus is that the Yeatman is part of the WOW (World of Wine) entertainment area so it is quite convenient if you’re on holiday with family or children and need activities within walking distance. Taylor Wine is also next door and an easy place to visit for a port tasting in the early afternoon.

What can I say, everything about this hotel is absolutely perfect. The welcome we received upon check-in, the location of the hotel, the hotel amenities and the overall service is absolutely amazing. There are a few restaurants within the hotel, the one on the 9th floor with outdoor seating has amazing fusion food. The soft shell crab in a bun is delicious and I totally recommend it. They also have really nice cocktails. The room was spacious, nice and clean, with an amazing view of the river. There is a detail that was new for me, but I loved it: a pillow menu. They have over 10 types of pillows and you can choose which one is your preference. The bed was nice and big, and the mattress was quite comfortable, for a change! The Spa is amazing with plenty of options: Turkish bath, sauna, roman bath, jacuzzi, etc. The hotel is situated close to the Port Wine cellars, and it is by the river, so it is easy to walk down. The hotel also has a partnership with 7 different museums close by, that are part of the World of Wine (WoW) experience. From a nice wine tasting, to a walk along the river, everything is close by. I totally recommend it.

Porto was built on commerce and principally port wine. This is the premier wine hotel in Porto which sits among the port wine store houses and overlooks the old city of Porto across the river in Vila Nova de Gaia. It is absolutely a five star hotel and owned by the same family as Taylor's Port. The wine dinners and the wine events such as the summer Sundowner evenings are spectacular. The food and wines are stunning. The Gastronomic Restaurant is rates two stars by Michelan Guide. The chef is Ricardo Costa and he recently opened a restaurant in the World of Wine complex next door, also owned by the Taylor's Port group. The hotel also has a large spa with many options including both a treatment and a port wine tasting! There are indoor and outdoor pools. It is an amazing property for the lucky few who can afford this luxury and experience.

Wish I could stay longer! Incredible customer service and a beautiful property. Note that their gastronomic restaurant is currently closed. Location is south of the river, so it's definitely a bit of a trek if you're looking to get to the main area, but that does come with a peaceful and quiet atmosphere.

A breathtaking hotel that has a balcony with the most gorgeous view in Porto. You do not have to be the guest of the hotel to come to the bar outside. They have light snacks and drinks and the service was excellent. It was the best experience I had while in Porto.

My wife and I spent an amazing two hours at the spa of this hotel. The spa was very cozy and clean, the hotel and spa staff were friendly and courteous. Thank you very much! Next time we would like to stay a few nights in the hotel and visit not only the spa but also the restaurant :)

Beautiful luxury hotel located in Gaia with a beautiful view. I just stay a couple of hours in the service room taking a coffee with some friends, so I don't have an opinion about room service. The ambience is almost perfect, in that night there was 2 musicians playing some "bossa nova" music, making some good vibes in the air. The decoration is very specific and gives to you that home feeling, I feel like I'm in my living room in that night. The landscape is perfect, Douro river at night looks very pretty. A must have experience for everyone, but don't forget it's a 5-star hotel, so if you don't have time and € to stay in the hotel, you deserve at least a cup of coffee (it costs 6€), the experience worth the money!

This hotel is a must stay at when in Porto. Beautiful hotel, complimented by the most amazing views of Porto and the service throughout was on point. However, what exceeded my expectations was the Artist suite we stayed in. Not only views from every room, but the balcony was a perfect place to view the sunsets and which overlooked the entire city, a priceless view!

Staying at The Yeatman is always a delightful experience. The rooms are elegant and well appointed, even providing guests with books to read and a complementary copy of “1066 and All That” is at the bedside. The service and food live up to the hotel’s high standard.

Nice little restaurant but I think the reviews are a little generous on this place. It is definitely family owned and one of the most authentic restaurants we ate at during our Europe trip. Our server did not speak English but was able to take our order successfully. We ordered the Rojões de Porco à Portuguesa (traditional Portuguese pork dish) (€12.50), Bife c/ Ovo (beef steak with egg) (€15), and croquettes (€6/4 pieces). I can see from previous photos that these prices are significantly more than it used to be - probably by 50%. It's still not expensive, but it's on par with some restaurants in more core areas with better views and environment. With drinks, we paid around €40 which is not cheap at all. The croquettes were definitely my favourite. The pork was enjoyable, as a traditional dish I don't have much to say. It's a stewed pork with rice and fries, where the rice and fries take up about 70% of the plate. The steak was not my favourite - it's made with a very sour mustard sauce, which was pretty overwhelming and had a strong garlic taste. The cut of meat is also not great. For the price, €15, I'd prefer the pork dish. I did enjoy the sliced potatoes that came with it, which made a decent pairing with the sour sauce. We came right at opening so we easily got a table. Very quickly it filled up with tourists. They have a patio area but it was raining so the inside was packed. I would recommend this place for a traditional dinner but it didn't quite suit my palette.

Wonderful family run restaurant - this is my favorite place to eat on the riverside. It's near the end of the promenade and not as full of tourists as the places nearby. Great prices and service as well. The bacalhau à Braga is my favorite thing on the menu and one of the best ones I've had in Porto. Their grilled sardines, and alheira are very good too.

Home-style Portuguese food at its best.. so much so that we ate here 3 days in a row! Located at one end of the marina, Casa Dias is a small family run operation so it’s just a 2 page menu. But everything is a must- order from their grilled sardines, codfish cakes, mixed salads and if daily special is available, Stewed Pork with Clams. Everything is cooked with heart and passion!

Grilled sardines, cabbage soup, cod fritters - were executed perfectly. We felt very tempted to come again, the food is soo good. I regret not trying the deserts. Been to multiple places for all these traditional Portuguese dishes and this tiny family owned restaurant is head and shoulders above the competition.

Casa Dias is a wonderful place. We were there for lunch. All the dishes were delicious. The owner of Casa Dias is an exceptional woman with passion and love for what she does. I recommend this place to everyone. We felt there as if we were staying with best friends.

Great local family owned restaurant. We really enjoyed our food - the flavours were great, the portions generous for the prices. Good value for money! The fried bacalhau was perfectly cooked and the pork very flavoursome. Service was also very friendly. The place was very busy, but we came early in the evening so did not have to wait for a table.

The restaurant is little and very nice. The staff is fantastic! All the food is typical of the city, traditional and delicious. When entering in this place, we had the feeling of being part of a big family! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Started with all starters a la card did not finished to order main menu and switched to desserts. All of them were fascinated. The place might have not amazing look, but the food are really a worth of visit. Owners are really nice people and give a touch of truly Portuguese hospitality 😀

This place is a gem! Small family owned local restaurant, great service. Definitely recommend the sea bream and cabbage soup. I liked the sardine pate, but my mom liked the grilled sardines themselves. One of my favorite meals in Porto!!
