Great museum has very nice and extensive exhibits. I went there when they had the wildlife photo-journalism exhibit which was a interesting one. It wasn’t busy whatsoever but I did go on a rainy Sunday around 3:00. Would definitely recommend going. It also seems like there was a third floor exhibit but for some reason it’s closed and I don’t know why. Maybe it will be open sometime in the future.

A well curated museum.A must visit when in Victoria. Right now though only the nature history wing is open and tickets as low as $5 is being charged. Will like to visit when the renovations are over to look at the rest of their fabulous collections.

This is one of the best museums we have visited. It has natural history, art, First People cultural history, and an interactive town/ship/ mine from British colonial history. Really great. Two weeks ago, that section was closed for remodel. I'm hoping it is still as awesome as ever when it reopens.

Impressive amount of varieties of contents and installations. One of the most interesting places to visit in Victoria. Recommended to check what exhibitions they're running before visit. Great for families with kids. Indoor with air conditioning. (Tickets are more affordable than the Butchart Gardens in Victoria...)

Good exhibit but some areas are closed. We missed the IMAX as we were on a tight schedule. Kids really enjoyed the aquarium areas.

Great place to visit and learn about the ice age and stuff. They even had a showing of covid portraits which was cool. Likes: it was cheap. $5 per person and it was absolutely worth it. Lots to see and learn. Dislikes: Nothing I can think of

Had an amazing time!! The exhibits are so huge too. Did not do the IMAX portion this time, but I heard that it's a good option, especially if they are showing movie/documentaries that pair with current exhibits, like they are currently doing with their Cambodia exhibit.

A popular tourist attraction on the Victoria waterfront, near the floating homes (not houseboats). There are multiple food vendors, some of which also sell alcohol. Not all businesses were open on a Sunday evening. Expect crowds, but a fun spot to find and enjoy the waterfront, especially at sunset. Water taxis available to take you anywhere around the harbor for $12/person one way. There is a parking lot near the children's playground. The area is walking distance to Old Town. There is one restroom on the dock.

Beautiful place to spend the entire day with friends and family. They offer kayaking and whale watching experiences. There are a few food joints, but I wish there were more varieties available specifically for vegetarian.

Cute and touristy. A must see while in Victoria. Free to walk around just have to pay for parking but can find free parking along side roads if you’re willing to walk. Lots of restaurants/food options. One souvenir store. And the rest are private residences. Great photo op. Fun to watch the sea taxis come and go.

Great place to end your walking tour throughout Victoria. It’s a bit further away from the main touristic sights but it’s definitely worth a trip to see the floating houses and for a drink with some food. You can take the water taxi back to the main sights!

It's a lovely harbour front with site seeing planes taking off, cruise ships, houseboats and water taxis! We even managed to catch an otter munching away on a crab. Man,we loved this place!!! Great tiny little restaurants and bars on the water across from a marina. Heads up, some of these quaint little houses are available through Air BnB so check before you book a hotel. You can walk right into the heart of the city from there. Beautiful views at night when all the lights come on. Worth the visit. You will need at least three or more days to take in all that is offered in this city. Enjoy!

Pretty cool place and a beautiful view of the city. Couple of food places here that are pretty pricey, and can get quite crowded. Cool place to go to see some unique floating houses though. Would recommend.

We took a water taxi from the inner harbor (I highly recommend this (the captain was fantastic). The houses at Fisherman's Wharf were very interesting! We were there before lunch, not much to buy to eat for that time frame, and hard to find an iced coffee. Places had broken ice machines, mini donut place closed. But definitely a great place to visit. Only 1 shop with art/souvenirs.

Absolutely beautiful. Breathe taking views, wonderful atmosphere. There's an eatery area with a great selection of foods and treats etc. Really cool place to hang out and see. Highly recommend the water taxi as well.

A popular tourist attraction. There are many shops, and homes on the pier, and also there is a beautiful park as well. There are also many places to eat, as well as many ferry/tours in the area. This is one of the best places to go, as there are so many people and it's a very fun place to meet up with your friends. Would recommend!

Lovely place with colourful buildings on the water. In the place you can see restaurants, ice cream shop, galleries and houses. There are public washrooms in the place. Really nice atmosphere. Next to the place there is a big lawn and small playground. There is a pay parking lot and free parking spots on the street. Highly recommended to visit here.

Beautiful walk in the sun on the dock. Lots of food and drink choices. Both water taxis available for affordable tours of the harbour. And gorgeous park across the road for the kids.

This is one of the coolest city parks I've been to. It seems to shift in ecosystem so drastically as you walk through it. It is well maintained and the park staff have been very open to questions. It is a lovely way to make your way to the shore, with many different paths to explore. The summer concert series was absolutely delightful, and I look forwards to next year. Be warned: there is a lot of water fowl poop in some areas, so look before you sit!

Great place to visit. Beautiful scenery and a great place for kids. There was a water play area and playground. Pretty blooming flowers and lots of animals. Free roaming peacocks, herons, and lots of ducks. Be careful of the heron nesting area, amazing, but be sure to keep your mouth closed, while looking up.

Very ginormous park in Victoria good spot for a walk and feel the nature is around you. You might encounter peacock sometimes they walking freely like their own playground. Lots of trees and plants here even summer you not feeling very hot because there is lots of shades. The path is connected to the oceanfront also to the mile 0 monument of the trans Canada highway. Inside the park also a mini zoo for kids and animal lovers with goats, hams, pigs, you can pet and play with.

Beautiful park. Now that there isn't any tents everywhere you can appreciate the beauty of the park again! They have ponds everywhere, and flower gardens that are well maintained, and the wildlife has returned to the park. Highly recommend coming to the park for an hour. Lots of space to read a book or just enjoy life.

One of the best parks here in Victoria. The best for joggers and cyclists. The Beacon Hill Children' s farm in here is a major attraction for kids and adults with a petting zoo. This beautiful park is full of majestic dancing peacocks , Goose's and Ducks and tonnes of Herons

Such an interesting place! The bird watching is amazing here you can see beautiful peacocks and a variety of other birds. We rode our bikes around but definitely nice for a stroll or hike as well. Lots of trails, play grounds, lake. Lots to do.

Well maintained and beautiful! If you keep going south towards the water you'll find peacocks 🦚 and a animal zoo which is cute. The peacocks roam freely and are docile as long as you don't get too close. Lots of amazing things to see here!

Amazing sight to behold here. The peacocks, Canadian geese, and cranes fill the air with noise. The pathways and restroom facility are well maintained. The big trees, willows, and unique vegetation make for plenty of sights. Go to the beach after your walk in the park for an amazing contrast of nature.

What a beautiful park! So much to see and so many different areas to explore. We particularly liked the Moss Lady (harder to find than we thought!), the largest totem pole we have ever seen, all the different little lakes, and the stone bridge. We walked through this park to get to Spiral Beach, and we were glad we did. Great place to spent a few hours.

This is a neat, old castle that was built well over a hundred years ago. Unfortunately they were not allowing tours when we visited as repairs had to be made. That said, parking on the street is free and walking the grounds is as well. There is a large, grassy area on the north side that the neighborhood kids were playing football in. If you can get here for a tour, I think it would be well worth the fee. As is, I was able to enjoy some kids making use of the acoustics of one of the openings below parking level and snap several photos. There is a lot of history in Victoria and this is just one example.

Visited here during my trip to Victoria and it was absolutely worth it. My favorite part was the fact I was able to walk around freely without a tour. I personally am not a fan of tours with random people. There was staff however throughout the building incase you had questions and they were also super friendly and knowledgeable on the place. The place is an amazing piece architecture, with such deep history. Definitely a must visit if your looking for something to do.

This is a relatively small castle. However, I spent almost 2 hours there! The staff and volunteers are super nice and helpful! They also show that they do care about the castle! If you have any questions, ask them! They gave me a lot of information outside the brochure! The restoration work is an ongoing process, so some of the rooms are not fully restored. I guess I could come back for a second visit after a few years!

I grew up going to this castle for my sisters music lessons, so it was so interesting to tour it and see it in all its historically restored glory. It's beautiful, inside and out. Details are given for you to read about the family that originally lived in it, and this was so interesting to read about.

This castle has such an overflowing walk through the history of Victoria, BC. From the history and biography of the family that once lived here to how this became a hospital. Then, becoming a place for students; just so much info to learn from. This place is a must visit. This just not educational, but also very Instagram worthy both inside and out. Speaking of ig worthy, this castle is well preserved; the woodwork here is remarkable; the stained glass and all the antique things are a symbol of how we move from generation to generation. 🥺 I suggest to book ahead of time. When we were here last December 2021, we were kinda lucky to get tickets but the couple who came after us didn’t get the chance to go in because the walk-ins aren’t available anymore. The castle was quite packed that time even though it was already after 4:00 pm on a weekday while raining. You can’t miss this place, so try booking at their website in case walk-ins are full. 🫰🏻

This castle was amazing! Located in a neighborhood but had lots of parking! The inside was amazing! The history preserved done excellent 👌 the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable...they are currently working on restoring the original kitchen but worth the trip...masks are mandatory...

This mammoth of a mansion is a must visit in Victoria. The place was originally built for Robert Dunsmuir and his wife Joan Dunsmuir in the late 1800's and is now open for tours. It gives us a glimpse of how privileged life used to be in olden times. The Castle Society has done a great job collecting all the newspaper references, history of the bungalow and its transformation across the years. The ticket cost was $39/person and I strongly recommend wearing masks for people with dust allergies. Sadly this place is not wheelchair accessible probably because the structure has only three floors of rooms and is too old to be modified to have accommodated a lift. There is free parking inside the Castle compound. However, if you are planning to park outside, make sure you park outside of the yellow curb line mark or you will get a ticket(for people new to Canada).

This gorgeous castle has been well-maintained and is a dream to walk through. The restored rooms transport you back to the early 1900s and the information in each room tells about the family and uses of the rooms. Such an interesting history! We were entrances by the grandeur and beauty of this place! Lots of stairs, be prepared.

Beautiful castle with a great self-guided tour. They even give kids an engaging scavenger hunt that keeps them focused. Lots of interesting history and well set up recreations of rooms. Great views of the city and coast from the top floor, as well!

I go around and stays for two hours with guide tour. Amazing experience. Even though I didn’t go in there, I can feel the dignified and aesthetically appealing on this iconic parliament building. The architectural structure of the building itself fully demonstrates the engineers' focus on technology and aesthetics. I am very lucky to have visited such a wonderful place.

Very beautiful building and the surroundings in the heart of Victoria. Horse carriages add to the beauty. The waterfront and Victoria downtown are awesome. One must visit during the day and at night. The building is very beautifully lit up at night. It's lively atmosphere. Must visit.

I thoroughly enjoyed a free public tour of the building led by Danny who works for the legislature. He was so knowledgeable, funny and engaging. My family and I leaned a lot about the building, history of BC and what happens in the building. The free tour is offered 3 times a day and it was well worth it. There is also a tiny cute gift shop that you can check out on your way out. It’s centrally located and definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful buildings surrounded by beautiful buildings overlooking the most lively area of Victoria. Personally felt like a great place to spend a few hours during the weekdays. Can get a bit crowdy during weekends. Do pay a visit inside the buildings. It's worth the effort (moreover, it's free). There will be a unfussy security check before entering the building.

Beautiful historic building, walking through and around is very nice, depending on the weather. It looks beautiful during the day and at night with all the lights on the building and the lights from the rest of downtown. Definitely a must see when visiting Victoria.

Beautiful inside and out, interesting architecture, very fine details inside the building. We have the tour, our tour guide was so much fun and easy to follow/ understand his name is Nicolas. It was fascinating. Do take the tour! It is very interesting!

Beautiful building with a ton of history. We took a free tour but it wasn’t very clear once we entered and finished security. We couldn’t find a tour guide and it was very loud and unorganized. It was neat to walk through however we are disappointed we didn’t get an actual tour guide.

An iconic building of Victoria. Currently under a bit of renovation for the main stairway. Entry inside the building is still permitted passing through a security check point. You are able to navigate two main hallways on two levels with a bit of history. Also has a gift shop inside the building.

This is one of the best restaurants we have recently visited. We went there on a Friday evening and they were packed shortly after6 PM. I would highly recommend you make a reservation before visiting or else the wait could be very long. The service and food were both fantastic. We just came back from Italy and felt they offer some rather authentic Italian food. The mozzarella cheese wasn’t as fresh as we had hoped but then it isn’t easy to find fresh mozzarella in smaller cities since mozzarella cheese usually should be eaten the day after they were made. Overall I think this place deserves a 4.5 if I have the option.

Had an amazing meal at Il Terrazzo with friends. We happened upon the place after noticing many full places on a Friday evening, yet the folks here seated us straight away on the patio. We had a most fantastic waitress who was helpful and kind, suggesting wines and being very attentive. Our meals were DELICIOUS and the portions were more than generous. We were very pleased with our overall experience and highly recommend.

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Il Terrazzo. Considering how big the seating is, the place was packed yet we didn’t feel rushed or crammed in. The atmosphere was very inviting. Our bread and oil were so yummy and soft, and the crushed olives were a nice add. Everything was perfect, though I will say I was pleasantly surprised by the choice of mango in my linguine Marco. Would definitely come back.

Visited this place while we were in town as recommended by a friend. Upon reading a number of reviews, we ordered a seafood pasta and a calamari since we were feeling still half-full from lunch. They gladly accommodated our request for substituting mussels for more of other kinds of seafood. We were amazed at how everything tasted so fresh, from the focaccia and olives to the pasta! Especially the pasta was simply the best seafood pasta I have ever had (remember we were not too hungry to begin with..)! We loved it was tomato-based rather than oil-based, and the prawns and scallops were cooked to perfection. An added bonus was that our server, Marissa, was incredibly friendly and made us feel comfortable the entire time.

We went there for my birthday. The atmosphere is fantastic. Great restaurant and outstanding service. We love the mussels, and it's juicy and fresh. Just a little bit disappointed about the lamb we ordered. The lamb quality is excellent, but the style of the dishes is not our type.

Such a lovely dining experience. We had a reservation on a Monday night and I’m glad we did because it seemed quite busy. The atmosphere was dimly lite, romantic, and overall a wonderful dining experience. Our waitress was very informative and able to help us decide on food and wine. Ended up with the Grigliata di carne and an order of the meatballs with pesto. Both were cooked to perfection! I would absolutely visit here again if in the area.

Just go there and they won't let you down! The location is not so easy to find out. However, The dishes and services deserve the effort to reach there. Fresh materials with great cooking skills, and my favorite is the desserts there. Matt just recommended what we are looking for, such a great man! It’s now on my must-go list in Victoria.

Be sure to book a table at least a week in advance if you need a certain time! Very attentive waiters, they offered to add water at least 5 times😏the most comfortable atmosphere, even though the flyers are sitting close, everyone speaks quietly and everything is very personal. Only the kitchen upset us, maybe we ordered the wrong dishes, since there are no photos of dishes on the menu. This place deserves another visit at least for pizza tasting☺️

What a great find, hidden away in a back alley in Victoria, the food was great and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, tables are spaced enough that your not having to listen to overbearing conversations at the next table. Service was a bit slow, and we felt neglected at times. I understand that it's tough to find good service in the hospitality sector these days. Hopefully, this will not be a forever thing. I would still recommend giving this place a try, and I would not hesitate to return.

Very welcoming restaurant, the staff are consummate professionals and adjust to the guests. If you want an extremely formal experience, they will be attentive ghosts. If you want to be chatty and informal, they are friendly and helpful. The food is done of the best in Victoria. We had osso buco and track of lamb and both were absolutely delicious. Would recommend to anyone.

Pros: Romantic atmosphere, generous portions. The seafood linguine was rich and delicious. Good wine list. Cons: You literally have to sign a waiver just to get a reservation online (I've eaten all over the world and never see that). It sets a tone of, "you're lucky to even eat here," and that was sure reflected in the inattentive service. We didn't even get a place to put our seafood shells, so just piled them on the side of the bowl. Our cocktails were completely lacking finesse (my watery old-fashioned was made with a scoop of small ice cubes, if that tells you anything), and the ingredients used in our caprese salad tasted like something you'd buy at Safeway. It was all *fine,* nothing terrible by any means, but for what we paid, we were deeply disappointed. Our experience at Finns was far, far superior. Would not return.

Wow, what a unique experience at this beautiful expertly decorated and arranged pub, for comfort, interesting viewing (tons to look at and amuse you), and enjoyment. The seating hostess was prompt and accommodating, and the waitress was friendly and welcoming, while the person delivering the food was engaging and helpful. I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but the Bard burger may be the best pub burger I’ve ever had, of all time. Tasty, perfectly cooked and decked out to perfection. Live music at night. This is a must experience when visiting downtown Victoria❣️. $$

Great place. Live band is good. Food is really good. Nice beer selection on tap, good cocktail menus and unique flights of booze. Short staffed in kitchen today unfortunately o slower but the ambiance is so good that it didn't matter.

Excellent place to have lunch and enjoy Victoria outdoors. Dog friendly place: my dog loved it, stayed at the side of our table waiting for us. Food is awesome. My wife had a salad, while I had a Steak & Ale Pie. The Pie was presented in a new shape, with mashed potatoes, veggies, steak and onions. It was delicious. Service was great.

Finding a good restaurant that opens early, 7am, is great, but then add a $9.99 special on basically anything on the breakfast menu! That's why we came back our second day as well. Great food and service, beautiful building, very Victorian with lots of brass! Great welcome to a beautiful day.

Great place! We had breakfast here, outside in the patio and we had a great time. The food was pretty tasty, service was good, and the location was excellent. They have high chairs and kid's menu which is great. Overall, I would say it was a good place for breakfast. My only feedback would be to make sure the coffee is well brewed as the coffee was a bit too bitter and had a burned taste

Love the layout of the place with the two-tiered dinning area and their style of booths on the bottom paired with chairs and tables up top. Makes it feel bigger and more inviting at the same time. The booth seats were very comfortable and made you feel like you had your own space. The design of the place is elegant which made it stand out from others in the area. Wouldn't expect it looking at it from the outside so it was a pleasant surprise. Food was also delicious and reasonably priced. Both of our dishes came heavily sauced with the sauce being amazing in both cases. Not sure if sauce is a theme here because they were both sauced-up but that could be a coincidence. Good selection of drinks too, bring a small party to get saucy while eating sauce.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere of Bard and Banker on our short visit to Victoria. It has a classy upscale feel but they also have live music and a small dance floor. Our bartender was friendly and attentive and drink prices were reasonable. Would definitely visit again.

The ambiance is spectacular, such a beautiful cozy place, It has that movie bar style. We walk in for a quick drink, and end up staying over 2 h. Drinks were good, we tried the oysters, very small ones but tasty

While stopped in Victoria we took a tour that landed us near Bard and Banker. Our tour guide recommended it. We were quickly seated and we got our order fairly fast. Our Guinness was a little warm and the fish and chips were greasy. The interior was very pretty with dark woodwork and an upstairs as well.

I always thought of Nautical Nellie’s as a tourist trap but after going here for their new brunch launch, I have changed my mind. The food was actually really well prepared, the flavours were balanced, the dishes were different and interesting and the owner and chef truly are trying to show Victoria how much they care. Prices were reasonable and in some cases lower than comparable restaurants and cocktails and non-alcoholic choices were also well made. I’ll be back for brunch again for sure.

It was our first time here, and we’re definitely coming back! We were so impressed with the food quality. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious, and the temperature of the food was perfect. The best part was the dessert - we highly recommend the choux!

The food was delicious and staff was friendly. She came back about 5 times to refill my water. The food was really good and surprisingly cheaper than expected. All of these food only came to about $150. It was more than enough food for two people. One thing they can probably improve is not putting the same type of seafood in all of their dishes. Even if it's fish, maybe putting in different types of fish is an option. Both of the hot pot and the pasta has the same seafood making it kind of bland overall. But everything else was good and enjoyable!

Seafood was amazing! Steak was a little disappointing. We came with a large group for lunch & all seafood ordered was a big hit. We especially recommend the lobster grilled cheese. We also got the raw oysters (which came with a very delicious spicy butter), lobster rolls, volcano sushi roll, and salmon. Everyone who got a lobster grilled cheese brought home leftovers. Flavor of lobster was present but not overwhelming. I had the filet & it wasn’t as tender as I would have liked and it didn’t have much of a flavor except some black pepper. It was still good, but not great (I ate all of it!) Service (Barb) was great! She provided great recommendations & was very friendly.

Delicious! Took my boyfriend here for the first time and he absolutely loved it. We both got drinks which were good. We shared a calamari which was a little bit small for $20. My boyfriend has the steak and he likes it done rare and he was so happy with how it turned out. I had the fish and chips and the fish was so crispy and very good. I will add the fries are not good, they are very soggy. Will come back but I would love to see the fries change.

Our last meal in Victoria was lunch at Nautical Nellies. We sat on their beautiful patio surrounded by flowers. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and fast, but it is the presentation that takes the show. The gourmet presentation that makes eating fun.

I'm really kicking myself because I've lived here my entire life but had never been to Nautical Nellie's until tonight and WOW! Fantastic service, wicked drinks, and AMAZING food. Probably the best steak I've ever had and the seafood was just perfect too. Do yourself a favour and go now.🔥

food was out standing. service was flawless. ordered the 53oz tomahawk steak *for myself* it was so good I ate more then 40oz of the steak plus dessert. if your a steak lover definitely go here. good variety of steak. outstanding flavor. perfect cooking. all in all 10/10. this place will be a regular stop for me as a steak lover.

An incredible restaurant and definitely priceworthy! We had a nice place outside, in the shade and with a fresh breeze and our waiter was extraordinarily friendly and courteous. The dishes, the burger as well as the fish, tasted delicious, were nicely plated and a good size. The self-made drinks were very tasty as well. The experience overall was great in any case, the atmosphere was very harmonious, the dishes tasted superb and were worth their price.

We had an excellent lunch here and ate all the lobster dishes! We tried the lobster quesadilla from the happy hour menu. I had the fish tacos from the happy hour menu. We also tried the lobster grilled cheese, lobster Mac and cheese, lobster roll and lobster bisque. Everything was fresh and tasty. Service was great and we had a nice private booth for our larger group. They did a great job.

Our first time in this restaurant was exceptional, we ate delicious hearty dishes! The photos that I put on the site date from this first experience. Everything had been perfect and for me it was the best restaurant in Victoria! Our second visit was very negative, however. We ordered the same Carpaccio but to our surprise nothing was the same. The plate lacked a lot of amenities and the price was always the same it became sloppy and uninteresting. We were very disappointed! Also we had reserved a table for four people and we arrived a little earlier than my husband (who had reservations) and the staff did not let us go and sit at the table my husband had reserved by the time he arrived! It was raining outside. I've never seen that in all my life! This experience disappointed us so much that we never went back! It is a relatively expensive restaurant, so if the services prove to be less and less satisfactory in terms of economy to the detriment of the quality, I no longer recommend this restaurant unfortunately…

This is one of the hot brunch restaurants in Victoria. Place opens 8am in the morning and there was already many people waiting well before the opening time. Food was very good. Sandwich was lunch menu but still was able to order it in the morning. Price is fair as well. Parking are on street, so ensure to pay at the meter station.

Absolutely amazing and very busy breakfast spot. Get here early, cause there is always a line-up outside. Also, pro tip once you get in line, stay in the line till you get seated. You will not be disappointed, one of Victoria's best breakfast spots... if not the best. Wait staff is super friendly and accommodating. Menu has an amazing selection of breakfast choices, and once you order the food, it comes fast. It's definitely worth going to over and over. Thanks.

Best brunch ever! The mocha was nice, has free refills. The food was fantastic! Creamy and savoury pancakes, nicely down omelette with flavourful stuffings, and creative nacho dish that fits amazing as breakfast! 100% recommended. There will be a wait for 30-45mins with rain cover.

If you can tolerate the wait, you’ll be rewarded with a table. Saturday morning lineup 10:20, seated at 11:10 ordered and food arrived 11:30. Real breakfast potatoes is a good sign. Creole chicken club; good. Apple French toast; okay. Good presentation and sizeable portions. Small seating area and few waitresses attending customers. Bright rustic environment, huge windows displaying waiting patrons with food envy. Decent coffee.

They are usually pretty busy and there was a wait for us to get in, but definitely worth it. The food was very yummy and very large portions for the price, I would definitely recommend. One plate would’ve honestly been enough for both my friend and I. The decor and ambience is also very nice, service is quite attentive. Although a tad slow because of how busy they were. I would definitely come again.

Absolutely phenomenal! Unique and delicious twists on the classics. Lovely decor and ambience. And staff very attention! Kitchen was fast and had food out within a very reasonable time! Loved the place. Worth the long line up.

I had, what was probably the best banana pancakes I've ever had, in my life at this dynamite Victoria staple. Yes, there was a wait, but it was well worth it. I had a full Ratatouille moment, sans the pen drop; just a wave of good flavours and memories of sitting at the table, dining upon a fat stack of banana pancakes as a little kid. Nothing on that menu is going to be a miss, ladies and gents. It's all up to what you want, and it'll be a treat. The drinks are also really good too! With proper homemade whipped cream, turn any coffee into a champion with a splash of Bailey's to boot. Just...be patient, wait in line, and you'll see what the fuss is about.

One of those rare times the lineup wasn't very long so we took advantage. It's a busy spot but the service was efficient and the food came out quickly. I had the Angel Eyes Eggs Benny. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The homefries were crispy. Didn't find it had oodles of flavour, but of course that has more to do with my choice of order. My friend had the Moroccan Chicken Club which he really liked. Will go back, but likely not when it's lined up.

The largest pancake I have ever attempted to eat. Really good, would recommend to anyone visiting Victoria! Delightful service. Even though there was a large line it moved pretty quickly and we were sat within half an hour.

Amazing breakfast spot in Downtown Victoria. When we go early in the morning already had line up so can see how popular it is. It’s featured in so many articles about the breakfast you have to try in Victoria. Actually at beginning we are little skeptical but it turns out it’s very good. The portion is huge and they are generous on putting ingredients the plates are full :). We are super full after eating that we skip the lunch. We highly recommend this to if you want to try traditional breakfast in this beautiful city

We came for dinner on an early Monday evening and there was already a lineup. The host told us that it was the “fastest moving lineup in Victoria” and, not too long after, we were seating inside. The atmosphere was very lively and the decor had lots of interesting things to look at. Overall, the food was delicious! The house-bread was so good that we just couldn’t stop eating it. We ordered an assortment of appetizers including the Crab Cakes, Meatballs and Mezze Platter; and for mains, we tried a couple seafood pastas and mixed seafood bowl. The portions were substantial although the amount of seafood in of the pastas wasn’t as abundant compared to other dishes. Also, some shrimps could have been cleaned better. We also tried several drinks and cocktails; and, they were nice. We sat close to the bar so, the bartender took good care of us personally. The rest of the staff was very friendly and diligent as well.

Drinks were brilliant Most food was really nice. Focaccia was good. Mixed starter board was great and .oat dishes were food. Service was amazing. Downside, main dishes were under-seasoned and I sent back my Clams linguine twice as the chopped garlic was uncooked on both occasions. I love garlic but it needs to be cooked to add flavour and be digestible. No drama from the staff who were amazing and empathetic. Get there early and be prepared to queue.

We discovered Pagliacci’s three summers ago, and now we purposely make a trip to Victoria every year just to eat here. The service has always been amazing, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Their bread is absolutely delicious, and we love to soak up sauce with it. The portions are large and we love the happy hour options. They don’t take reservations here, so we suggest coming around 4:30-5pm or earlier, otherwise there’ll be a wait outside. Overall, fantastic food and people, highly recommend coming here!

There was a bit of a line up outside. A few people didn't make the cut and left early. Silly them, the food and service was top notch. The care, love and attention to detail and overall quality control really showed through in the food. Also live music was a cherry on top.

We stop by this place for lunch and love it! All the staff was super friendly, helpful, and kind. We enjoy talking with them. Everything we ordered from the food and drink was savory! They have such a huge selection of lunch and drinks. The restaurant itself is small, but they do offer outdoor sitting. Walk-in only. First, come serve. Thursday to Sunday they offer live jazz music. Check them out if you are in the area.

The place was buzzing with people when we got here. It is a very popular pasta Italian Restaurant. No pizza. We enjoyed most of the dishes as we were a large group. Loved the meatballs. I had the seafood pasta which was great. The wine selection was good and priced fair. Service was good considering the place was not very organized.

Five star experience. I do recommend going in early for dinner if you can. Chris was our server and he was great. He checked back regularly and we did not have to wait for anything. We both ordered half portions and after having some yummy soups, my wife and I still took some food with us when we were done. Go hungry, leave satisfied.

This is a spot that has been around forever. It’s been over 20 years since I’ve dined here but it was nice to be back in town and experience as an adult. Always popping with a lot of buzz, lovely energy, and long lines that move quickly. Was able to get seated outdoors quicker than indoors. Perhaps it was overly busy on a Tuesday night and lots of moving parts/people but we had to ask for water and bread multiple times initially and didn’t receive water until our meal was over. Our server was very helpful and the food and drink were tasty though, a local legend spot.

I was on the fence about rating this restaurant. I was slightly disappointed at the main attraction : I'll have what she's having. It was a big bowl but slightly underwhelming. Some of the seafood was overcooked and the oyster had sand residues inside. However the seafood lasagna was very good and the service was top notch. Will definitely visit again but will get something else

The food (pasta) at this place was amazing!!! I ordered The Shell Game dish and I got to say it's probably one of the best pasta dish I ate. The only complaint I have was that the size of the food is small so definitely go for size Large as it's just a few dollars more! The happy hour appetizers were also good. The service was also excellent although I can see our waiter is way too busy (it was crowded) so he forget us a couple times but he was pleasant nonetheless. The setting is sort of very crowded (tables too close) so that's the only real downside. I'm definitely coming back here again if I'm at Victoria Island.

We were visiting Victoria for the weekend and this restaurant was recommended to us by one of the employees at a local bike rental place. We were not disappointed! Each dish had two size options which was great because we were flying home that day and couldn't take left overs. The seafood pasta tasted fresh, and the coconut curry cream sauce had so much flavor!
