Amazing! This is a great experience. If you get the chance do visit. There is a free audio tour which you can download as an app. The rooms and the content are fabulous. Yes, it’s very popular. There are timed tickets for the Palace itself which are very good value. The grounds do require a lot of walking but you can hire a buggy. The fountains are beautiful and if you can do walk down to the boating lake. A good number of cafes and restaurants at the bottom of the gardens. We returned in the evening to see the water fountains display and fireworks. Over 3 hours of entertainment. My advice is to download the free map so you can see all the displays. You can bring a picnic for the evening.

Beautiful and large palace outside of Paris. It’s quite difficult to get to without a car. Inside the palace were plenty of rooms where you can walk around to learn about history and embrace the beauty of the walls, ceilings, statues and chandeliers. It took about half a day to see the entire place, but definitely worth a visit.

The palace was super cool but there were so many people. As we walked around we noticed that there were huge crowds in all of the bedrooms and the crowd was less cramped in every other part of the palace. This was a cool experience but probably not something to go back to multiple times again. All of the rooms were pretty similar after a while and almost seemed like an art museum so keep that in mind if you’re not super into old art and furniture. Overall good experience.

France has the most beautiful sights. The architecture of these building to have maintained for these c nitrites is unbelievable. The French have truly preserved their buildings. Although dusty and slimy from the elements, the structure is intact. Inside the decor is absolutely amazing, with all the details King Louis asked for down to the smallest details. He asked for and received the best of the best for him and his family. They lived the luxurious life with everything available to them. There are rooms designed for each person, event and all in between. The walls, the fabric, the designs, the entire Palace is well maintained and well kept from the original years. Gold for days is seen throughout this Palace.

All time favorite tourist attraction while visiting Paris. Highly recommend giving yourself a few hours to visit. You still may not have enough time to see everything. The palace is stunning. Marie Antoinette was living in opulence. The palace is massive, but the gardens go on for miles. PRO TIP- Rent the golf cart to visit the gardens. Better yet, rent a bike. The golf carts can only stay on their assigned path. If you venture off path, the golf cart will turn off. *Marie Antoinette’s cottage house is not open. You can only view the outside.

This is a must do if you are staying in or around Paris! We took the train into town and walked about 5-10 minutes to the gates. Buy your tickets ahead of time and earlier in the day if you can. We got wonderful pictures and beat the heat of the sun in the gardens. We had passport tickets which allowed us to go pretty much everywhere.

We didn’t manage to get into the Palace due to lack of tickets. We were only able to walk through the gardens. The gardens are nice, but expected more. They are not that well maintained (grass and plants is not well watered in some parts). Still nice to visit if you have half (or an entire) day in Paris.

First went 25 years ago, back again now. What an amazing place. The history and the grandeur. A once in a lifetime visit. Make sure and book your tickets ahead of time and splurge on a guide if you want to get the most out of your visit. I noticed golf carts for rent to tour the gardens. We didn't get in due to time but I would plan for that and go see thengrounds and all the hidden gems amongst the gardens.

The place is superb. The castle is very big and the garden is huge. Recommended for a family tour or couple tour. We went in there for our couple tour. It was raining and we did not finish the garden tour. The experience was great. Recommended for those people who loves history.

Legendary place, you need at least 4-5 hours to spend instead it. The palace itself is breathtaking but better to go around it with a guide to tell the details about everything. The gardens are amazing. Better to rent a golf cart to go around it. Be aware that you rent it at the beginning of the garden there is usually waiting time and you need a driving license. If you want to go for a boat ride then you definitely need more time

Stunning palace of the Sun King. Practicalities: If using Google, remember there is the town of Versailles and there is the Palace of Versailles. To actually get to the palace from the town, you will have to Uber or taxi from the train station. The palace gets crowded--and I mean, shoulder to shoulder, barely able to breathe crowded. NOT for those who get claustrophobic in such situations. Getting your tickets for very early can help this, as can trying to see the more popular areas (Hall of Mirrors, etc) as early or late as possible. The gardens have stony paths. Recommend not wearing thin shoes. Plan a bare minimum of 3 hours for your visit. Fun stuff: It really is one of the most beautiful sites you will ever see. Stunning artwork and architecture and treasures at every turn. The gardens are an absolute delight.

An absolutely stunning place to visit. Despite visiting in September during the week, I found the interior tour to be incredibly overcrowded. You could spend hours inside, however I found outside of the palace to be the best. Rent a bike or golf cart, and if it’s a nice day look the spend the majority of your time here exploring the beautiful grounds.

We have to come here first when they first open for the pictures without anybody because it got crowded so quick.

Hall of Mirrors is the most elegant & glamorous room in the Palace of Versailles. The sight this hall creates when sunlight peeps through windows & lighten up the hall with intricate pieces of arts & mirrors is just magical. The ceilings are also covered with intricate arts.

The Hall of Mirrors of the Palace of Versailles is the highlight of every visit. The area in the center of the castle, originally laid out as a terrace, was closed around 300 years ago and has over 350 individual mirrors. These imitate the old exterior facade with 17 large windows. At the time, it symbolized the king's wealth and the progress of the French people. This place is considered to be the most historic place in Europe.

Hall of Mirrors is the most famous and beautiful room of Versailles palace. It runs along the palace main wing on the first floor overlooking the gardens. It is lavishly decorated in mirrors (as the name says), gilded statues and marvelous chandeliers. Beside its beauty the room is known as the place where the peace treaty was signed ending the WWI. We've been lucky being there on a cloudy Jan day just before the closing time with very few people, having it almost to ourselves (see the pics)

One star, not because it's not a nice garden, but because they started to charge for the garden which used to be free, at least during peak season. They justify it with the 'musical shows' that are in the gardens during peak season. It's basically just loudspeakers playing way too loud classical music, that is often more disturbing than nice. Charging several thousands of visitors per day, approx. 12€/person, they should be able to afford a full orchestra in the garden instead of some loud speakers that repeat the same tune every few minutes. If you want to make money off the gardens in the peak season then just do it, but dont claim that visitors are paying 12€ only for this loud music to play.

Highly impressed by the grandiosity of the massive 2000 acres gardens. Amazingly manicured lawns fountains and sculptures populate the entire area where Baroque music is spread by hidden speakers. Worth visiting. It has an entry fee

Best experience in Paris so far. Gardens very well maintained. Unique Royal French style. Musical gardens are an absolute amazing experience. You feel like you're back in the baroque times wearing those nice wigs. Accessible paths for strollers and pushcars (lift or ramps), something rare to see in Paris. Good options for a lunch break. Fountains are specially beautiful. Had a very nice time there.

This must be the largest garden I have ever been to. The amount of maintained land that is available for the public to admire, is truly astonishing. It’s very clean and each fountain is unique. I only saw they have golf cart rentals towards the end of my visit so if you wish to enjoy more leisurely, definitely rent the carts first so you don’t feel tired. I do wish they have more seating options throughout the garden as most people are walking for hours, admiring the sculptures and fountains. They also have boat rentals that you have to row.

A glorious garden to explore. It is so extensive that one could spend an entire day traversing the labyrinth of paths and visiting the water ponds. They're lots of good places to get something to eat here to keep you going.

Loved it!!! Walking through the doors of Versailles Palace and Versailles gardens was an extraordinary experience for me. If you visit Paris, please reserve a day for this objective. You can go to Versailles very easily by train. Make reservations online and do not be scared about the big queues (it moves quite rapidly).

Incredible gardens best experienced in spring and summer. Often not super crowded. Somehow there was fresh squeezed orange juice being made in a random junction between paths near the water features. Just an overall wondrous other-worldly experience. Quite a place.

Totally worth the visit! It took around 4hrs to go on the main spots of the garden; if you have the time, take more hours to contemplate the fountains and landscapes, prepare a towel to carry with you so you can sit properly and do not get your cloths dirty. Its also good if you can rent a golf car that is offered, so you can save lots of time and can have fun while driving it

I love history and was lucky enough to have Marta from city wonder tours to guide us. She was super knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. Her English and Spanish were both very good and she was very positive. This tour was longer then I expected at nearly 4 hours but there Isa nice Cafe and shop. The palace of course Isa wonder but the gardens are worth seeing too! It's very warm. Very.

It was under refurbishment when we were there so we didn't get to go in. It was covered with a printed tarp on the outside. We were able to have a quick look of the interior once we had entered the palace. The painted ceiling looked amazing but the chapel was mostly dark so we weren't able to fully appreciate it.

The Royal Chapel is the third thing we liked best in the palace of Versailles, just after the Hall of Mirrors and the Battle room. The Chapel is pretty big, made on two levels and it strongly reminds me on the Paris' Saint Chapel, although it does not have such amazing stained glass. You cannot enter it, just observe it from the entrance.

The royal palace chapel is an outstanding example of French baroque architecture. It is the last of the five chapels of the Versailles Palace and the last major building project by King Louis XIV. It was completed in 1710 and is now mainly used as a concert hall.

We bought tickets for 5:00pm and were doing the audio guide tour. At 5:45 the staff of the museum started to hurry up people to leave, because they close at 6pm. The audio guide tour lasted 1.5 hours so it was ridiculous that they sell entrances so late! There was a group that even entered at 5:30pm! Very poorly thought out

Beautiful and peaceful temple next to Petit Trianon. Don’t forget to give your love a kiss here, it will be a moment to remember.

This is a gorgeous place that is very romantic to find when walking aroudn with your wife. I love the architecture of his structure.

A place fit for Marie Antoinette. The view is just superb from inside the temple sitting on an island, surrounded by the English river. It must have been quite eye-catching back in the day. It still is preserved very well.

We stumbler across this restaurant after a visit to the palace and could not be happier. The wait staff was so friendly, patient and helpful. The food was outstanding and unique for sure. You need to try to home made salted caramel!! If you are in the area, you need to stop here. We cannot say enough about how much we loved this gem in Versailles

We only tried the sweet crepes which were good. Friendly servers that can speak English which helps. Located in a quaint pedestrian street lined with all kinds of eating places.

Just wow. The Best crepes I’ve ever had. The dark chocolate strawberry one is a MUST try! Never had any better ones in California, US.

We went for a walk after Versailles palace and craving something sweet. Went to this place for some sweet crape. We ordered a dark chocolate crape and hazelnut spread crape with two latte. It was good but we saw the ham and egg crape and ordered ham, egg, mushroom crape as well which it was really good. If you don’t use to eat the savory carpe like us, we definitely recommend to try it here. Was great. All the order came out 35.40 euros.

We all enjoyed our crêpes. Great service and very tasty food. Their house desert crepes are amazing. Strongly recommend! Bravo!

We were here for dinner. The restaurant is crowded but waiter is able to allocate a table for us without much waiting even though we did not make an advance reservation. It is not very spacious and table size is small. There is not much space left after placement of the glasses and cutleries. It is only able to place 1 course at each time per pax. We ordered an Oriental Crepe and a Banana and Nutella Crepe. Both were delicious and we like the quality of the food that has been presented to us. All were made freshly on demand. Oriental crepe is served with grilled chicken that is well marinated. It complimented the crepe and fresh salad very well. Banana and Nutella Crepe is a classic selection and we were satisfied by the quality of the sweet crepe being soft, chewy but not overly sweet. Patrons may wish to check the availability of the ciders as there are some we have been advised unavailable at the time of order even though there is a wide variety to choose from. Nonetheless there is always draft options for selection. The waiters are attentive and friendly, they are also able to converse in english (basic). At the midst of dining, one of them came up to us to check if food is up to our liking. At the end during billing, we have also been asked the same. We like that the waiters are keen and sincere to be assured that customers leave satisfied. Such kind gesture is greatly appreciated and set as an example other eateries can model. Well done to the team at Jeanne. We will be back again for the delicious crepe.

Our first crepe experience in France did not disappoint!!! We all had different savory crepes for lunch and loved them! And then we shared a sweet crepe with caramelized butter and apples….what’s not to love about that!?!? A delightful post-palace lunch. Highly recommend! Merci!

Unfortunately, our experience at the restaurant was terrible. The restaurant by itself seems nice, however, there add some things to consider. First of all, would have been much better, if a smoking and non smoking areas would be separated outside. I am pregnant, so I could barely tolerate the smell of cigarettes everywhere around. When we’ve arrived, around 4 pm they were already closing the outside terrace that was facing the lake, so unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the view. I would say the only thing that was great were the drinks-I had a non alcoholic one with fresh lemon juice and mint syrop which was absolutely fantastic but as well as a martini spritz my mom loved! The whole experience was ruined by our server, who took forever to give us menus or take our order in the first place, but I get it, the place was busy. However, after he brought our drinks out he completely forgot about the rest of our order, even though I saw him writing it down. I had to remind him at least 3 times item by item what we got. We have unwillingly spent over 2,5 hours there, waiting for a plate of fries and another one with fries and chicken nuggets. Ice cream tasted much better from a nearby street vendor too. Would not recommend this place and definitely not going back.

We were so happy to be back at La Flottille after nearly 5 years. The restaurant is bustling as usual but service and food was served promptly. Decent place to have lunch while exploring Versailles.

Great restaurant to eat at during your visit to palace of Versailles! We got the fish and chips and the salmon pizza! The jus d'orange was fresh and the food delicious. It was busy during lunchtime but there was still no wait to be seated. Our waiter spoke great English which is never expected but helped fill in the gaps in our French. The menu also has subtext in English so it is easy to read!

Awful. Bring your own lunch. As this is the only restaurant in the area, the service is generally not good, and food was mediocre at best. The drinks were good. They say their sausage is specialty, so ordered one. The sausage and mashed potatoes were cold! Also ordered hamburger, which was okay at best. Very busy as tourists filled the place. A rude, old French couple cut in front of the line as we waited to be seated. Once seated, I asked if I could charge my phone (I even had a charger) and all three staff I asked gave a firm 'no'. The only bright spot was aperol, which was pretty good.

Pleasantly surprised. We were 7 people and arrived in front of this restaurant which is positioned next to the Grand Canal between the Palace of Versailles and the Petite Trianon, just in time to have lunch. I figured they had a captive audience and would not have to try very hard to please it's customers. The prices are a little higher than a cafe/brasserie in Paris, on a main street, however, after our visit, it is worth the price. All servers spoke English. The menu was available in English and also online. The servers worked hard to accommodate us all. The food was fresh, of good quality and the desserts did not disappoint. The addition of this restaurant located with a great view, where the Kings and Queens of the world walked before us, is a wonderful addition.

A place to reminisce I was here 8 years ago and I atethe food, I can boldly say that the taste of home made and the hospitality of the staff was the same as before.If you come to see the Palace of Versailles, be sure to go to this restaurant which is located in the garden of the palace and by the beautiful lake. 💯 percent recommended.

I expected this place to have average food due to the location but it was surprisingly good. I had onion soup which was the best I've tried, pizza and tarte tatin for dessert. The servers spoke english and the service was fast. The prices are what you expect from a place inside Versailles.

The food not good like it seems in the menu . I ordered the fillet beef. The garnish very bad made . The bone was good though. Very disappointed ☹️

We were a small group of 4 people and tried different dishes for dinner, all of them delicious: ceviche salad, stuffed peppers, effiloché de colchón ("french pulled pork" in a potatoe pure coat), chocolate dom, the floating island... We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere of the city. The staff was very friendly and helped us with our questions. Maybe a bit pricey, but hey, this is Versailles. Overall a very pleasant experience. I would come back!

Ambiente is french style nice, we had only a tea, but it was organic tea but taste was under our expectations. Also for one tea we paid 5 euros. Thats too much for that taste.

They overcharged us!!! We got there and we sat outside. They had a QR code for English menu. We ordered 3 foie gras a cheese board with meat and a bottle of wine. Let’s talk about the food. It was our first time eating foie gras. It was good but heavy. We don’t know if it was good foie gras or not but it was a good first time experience. The wine was good too. We had ordered cheese board with cured meat was acceptable. All we got was meat. They brought a bill excluding the wine first. The waiter realized the mistake right away and went back in and brought back a credit card reader and charged us an unknown amount. He never brought us a revised itemized receipt. We didn’t know until later that he had charged us €10 more than what he should have for the wine. I would be more careful next time about their billing policy.

Authentic french food with french menu. Great food, but the service was so and so. Friendly staff though. Good selection of wine and beers.

Beautiful property. We had an upgrade to a room in the palace overlooking the gardens and that was lovely. Everything was very comfortable and we appreciated the extra little touches like a Happy anniversary note and snack, as well as fresh flowers. The service was impeccable, the staff being both extremely courteous and genuinely friendly. Even when we just had some ginger ale sitting in the bar they made it into a nice moment. The breakfast buffet was exceptional in variety and quality. The meals and drinks we enjoyed at La Veranda and the bar also very high quality. It was a treat to be able to easily walk over to the Palace and Gardens of Versailles from our hotel room and the train station was also an easy walk to get into Paris. Certainly what you would expect from a Waldorf Astoria property and very good value for the price.

My husband and I visited the hotel for our anniversary. Everyone was very welcoming and kind. The incredible staff provides impeccable service, the views of the gardens will take your breath away, and the well-appointed decor is top notch. Loved this dining experience! We watched Gordon Ramsay ‘s TV shows so when we knew we were visiting Waldorf Astoria Versailles, we had to try the food. This restaurant is a whole experience! The quality of the food was flawless, my husband had the best burger. The entire vibe of the place was energetic and thrilling. We would love to visit The Palace again!

Room is perfect, 5 star for the restaurant service, and 1 star for front desk and reservation. 3 weeks before checking in, reservation Jeanne asked special requirements, we mentioned our anniversary and child travelling with us. Jeanne in reservation said she prepared everything. When we check in at 2pm, there were no amenities, no surprises for us and my son, and no extra bed. So-called personal assistant Jeanne didn’t respond until I keep calling her. And no one is taking out luggage when we arrive. I would say definitely not a 5 star hotel in terms of service.

My family and I booked two rooms for two nights. We stayed in the Palace side and loved it. The rooms were huge and the heated floors in the bathroom was everything. The cleaning staff comes twice a day. Once to clean and once to prep for the evening. Feeling pampered is an understatement. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. We would probably stay here again when we return to Versailles.

A marvelous hotel experience. We enjoyed every aspect of this beautiful location. The staff, the food by Gordon Ramsey and the rooms were all top quality and lived up to our high expectations. From the front desk, to the concierge team, to the restaurants, we had a delightful week here. The gym, the spa and the indoor pool were also top quality. The hotel is clean, elegant, beautiful and well manged, however, above it all is the 3 most imperative requirements for any prestigious hotel: location, location, location. This property delightfully delivered on our every need.

Our favorite Hilton Hotel we’ve stayed at worldwide. Staff was so friendly, rooms at the palace were exquisite. We are diamond and our upgraded room was amazing. It was such a peaceful retreat from our Paris vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was lovely, and the afternoon tea was very nice too. Easy to get taxi to Versailles Palace or into town. Literally every person we encountered from the staff were incredibly kind. I can’t recommend this property enough.

Let me start off by saying, overall had a great experience. Food, location, ambience are all absolutely stunning. The only issue I had a Wyze there is no AC in the room working. They responded to my request right away but couldn’t do much. Kept saying it was because the outside temperature was in the late 30°C.

I wish I could leave 10 stars ! After night 1 we fell in love with the place ! We couldn’t leave just yet so my wife and I decided to stay one more night ! The service was extraordinary- very attentive , friendly and professional ! We were treated like royalty. My Hilton honors status allowed us to get a free upgraded room. It felt like staying in a castle - the breakfast was incredibly good with wide variety of options. They even have a chef who specializes in cooking eggs made to order the way you want ! The property is very well kept, super clean. Great walking area outside , the indoor pool, spa etc is incredible. Too much more to write but all I can say is this place is def worth it for the experience !

Amazing staff from the moment we arrived to accommodating a late checkout. The restaurants were amazing for both breakfast and dinner. The dining staff remembered our names and drink preferences everyday. Room service only took 10 minutes max. The room had amazing views of the garden. I heard no noise from the hall. 2 gyms - one behind the pool is the best, personally. One of my most important parts: the shower stayed extremely hot for long showers. Will def be back and recommending to others.

We had an amazing time at the Waldorf Astoria in Versailles. The service we had at the hotel was great from start to finish. Valet parking was convenient and we were able to check in quickly. The front desk agent was friendly and gave good suggestions. We stayed in the Palace and were fortunate to receive an upgrade due to our booking through the American Express FHR program. The room was well-appointed and made us feel right at home. We also had a drink at the hotel bar, which was very cozy and had live music. The Veranda restaurant was also good, both for dinner and for breakfast. I would highly recommend this property overall!

A fab find, super close to the Palace. Friendly service, super crepes. Happy customers with a buzzing atmosphere. Clearly popular with locals and tourists alike. Worth booking ahead; we prebooked about 2 hours before and the place was heaving shortly after we sat down. Food was delicious. Would highly recommend.

The service was REALLY slow, but the food is ahhhmazing! I had a savory crepe with cheese, ham, potatoes, pickle, and sausage. The dessert (ice cream with whipped cream and salted caramel) was literally some of the best I’ve ever had.

Good selection of sweet and savoury crepes that taste good. Service is a bit slow but friendly. The only downside was all the bees that came with the outdoor seating.

Since there was a band playing i decided to have a quick bite while listening to the music . I had the norvégien galette served with salade and the kinder crepe for dessert. Both were simple and average i have tasted better . Maybe i should have taken more ingredient in my savoury . It was sticking on the dish . Prices are affordable with a cup of jasmin tea . Staff friendly and quick service.

Probably, one of the best crepes I've ever eat. The only drawback is that it closes at 11 o'clock at night and It would be perfect for an after drink crepe.

A great spot right across the palace to satisfy all your sweet cravings. Their home made chocolate is nice and rich in flavor.
