Way to crowded in august. We bought the lunch ticket which is a 19.5€ „full italian lunch“ and it was a complete joke. You get your meal in one way beverage in a big crowded food court without any windows. If you want to go there get your tickets online and be there early or pretty late.

We booked a guided tour in advance. So glad we did! We walked through some of the museums, the Sistine Chapel and ended at St Peter's Basilica. It was super busy, and there was so much to look at, you just get a glimpse really. But, it was absolutely amazing to see all of the art.

This was a good museum. We did not have the time to explore as much as we wanted too but it had a lot of amazing sculptures and artwork! The best parts to me were the HUGE tapestries along the walls and the gold lit ceilings. Sometimes, there are open windows with amazing views of botanical gardens and mountains.

Extremely awesome. It is just the heat that was the culprit otherwise totally worth it. Only if they can create more washroom there won't be long lines for the wait, especially for the ladies. The various galleries were awesome showing the epitome of excellence in art and finally when you arrive at the Sistine Chapel, that's a sight to behold and absorb it as much as you can with your eyes, because you know that you're gonna cherish this memory for always.

Must definitely buy tickets in advance esp in summer. It is awful to stand in the sun for a few hours. There is honestly so much to do in the vac museum. We spent 5 to 6hrs! The food was extremely normal but its fine since we were both extremely hungry.

How does one rate the museum that houses some of the greatest treasures of western civilization? Plan to arrive early and spend all day here. The guided tours are nice, but you will be moved through at a much faster pace than allows you to truly soak everything in.

If you don't have a reservation, they will just make you wait A LOT (I think we waited almost two hours) as other people pass by, that was really frustrating. I'm not sure why that happened because there were no queues at the ticket offices. So make sure you book online. Other than that, the museum is huge and so informative! You could easily spend hours here

You have to buy the tickets with a lot of time because if not you have to buy them for more money. Amazing place with a lot of art you can spend a whole morning here looking at all it contains. I recommend to take it easy and make a lot of pics.

Always book in advance especially in the seasons peak. Take your time, there is a lot to cover, on site guides help a lot but after the tour you can then go through entire museum by yourself. Also, at the the of the tour you can easily enter the Basilica and skip the long line outside.

This museum is beautiful and showcases so many masterpieces, but the crowds of tour groups in the main exhibits are unbearable. The majority of the experience is being herded down hallways with no stopping. It just ruined the experience and I wanted out. Had skip the line tickets which basically just meant a shorter line. Maybe early in the morning would be a different experience, but we had gone to St Peter’s basilica first to wait in line there.

Words can’t express how beautiful this place is! Firstly, I’d highly recommended booking in advance as the queues were forever down road; some people were still in the queue after us being in there for 3 hours… but if you book in advance; 1. You save money! & 2. You get in almost straight away and don’t have to wait! “Get your guide” I booked with and it was much cheaper, faster and trustworthy - it also had its own line for getting in and we got in straight away! Definitely recommend taking out half your day to explore this beautiful place, as it can extremely busy… shoulder to shoulder busy :/ and don’t forgot to see the Sistine Chapel! Which is at the bottom! It’s beautiful, nothing like I’ve ever seen :) It’s so big, beautiful and so much to view. There is on site food areas, which I’d say are fair priced for such a beautiful tourist area. Safe to say it’s one things in Rome that is a must see!

After sweating it out waiting in line for 45 minutes to get past the security check that Everyone has to go through... The actual crowd inside the Basilica was not that bad. With the Not That Bad crowd (some shoulder to shoulder areas), you could take your time to view the beauty of the Sistine Chapel.

The room containing the creation is really something to behold. In general walking around the museum and the areas of the Sistine Chapel you'll spend as much time looking up as you will at items on the walls. It's not an expensive thing to do either and really worth it.

Absolutely terrific. We did a small group tour & skipped the line. Our tour guide was great. Priceless antiquities of human history are in the Vatican. The imagination of the artists, the colors, their skills are on display throughout the buildings. Catholic or not, this should not be missed if in Rome.

Absolutely marvelous. I have always wanted to see the fresco inside Sistine Chapel which was so meticulously done by Michelangelo. We spent some time there appreciating the painting on the ceiling. Photography was however prohibited inside Sistine Chapel and there were guards who were forbidding people to do it. Book the tickets in advance! Else a very long queue will be waiting.

Totally blown away with the breathtaking paintings and art within the corridors leading to the actual chapel. If you like history and arts this is a master piece of a place. It can get busy and the gardens outside are also remarkable. You can take pics and video leading into the chapel but be warned you will not be able to take pics whilst inside.. totally worth the visit...

Loved the artistry... The Sistine Chapel, City Wonders Tour was well worth it, and highly recommended. Way too many pictures to post...however, none from inside the chapel itself (pictures forbidden)

Although we visited the Sistine Chapel in a low tourist season, there were too many people so we could not enjoy it as we would have liked. Photos are not allowed. However, I managed to quickly snap a few. It was a transgression I could not resist. I point out that most of the photos they have uploaded to Google Maps are not of the Sistine Chapel but of other rooms of the Vatican Museums, in which photography is allowed. The Sistine Chapel is almost at the end of the Vatican Museums route. If you get tired, be sure to take the detour, a shorter route avoiding many intermediate museum rooms that are just as suffocatingly full of people and without offering the possibility to sit down and rest. Don't worry if you need to relieve yourself, there are toilets scattered around. On the occasion I would like to note that all the places we visited in Rome had a lot of tourism. The whole city is flooded with tourists even though it was low tourist season. Don't make the mistake of traveling to Rome without pre-booking tickets for the places you want to visit, otherwise you won't be able to get in. The queues and waiting are too long. Keep in mind that for almost all attractions you need to pay a ticket and almost all places are checked similar to that of an airport. In my opinion, the Roma pass is not worth it as it is not like in other cities that allows you almost unlimited access to museums, etc.

Make sure you buy online tickets! Preferably bundled with bus tour (53€) or some other tour groups. Because it is not worth it to stand in the endless queue in the scorching sum!!! The way to the chapel is much more interesting than the actual chapel which is only the size of a basketball court... P.S. You can't take photos in the chapel.

An amazing architecture along with the paintings will leave your brain freeze. Official residence of the Pope has original painting by Michelangelo on the ceilings. A must visit place in Rome...buy the tickets in advance for skip the line queue and always good to have less than 10 in the group. Reach early at 8.00 am and budget around 4 hrs for the full visit.

While in Rome be sure to visit St. Peter’s Basilica, Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums even if you aren’t Catholic. The crowds are tremendous and it’s very, very hot especially in the summer months. Even though it’s super hot, be sure to keep yourself covered. It is disrespectful to have your shoulders bare and to wear short skirts, dresses and super short shorts. If you aren’t dressed properly, you will be given paper like clothing to cover up or be denied entry. It would be helpful to do a bit of research online before visiting to understand the extraordinary history and pieces of art you will be seeing. Expect to spend at least 3-5 hours exploring. You can easily spend an entire day and wonder where the time went. The shops are plentiful and apparently everything in them is blessed by the Pope. The line and wait to get into the Sistine Chapel is very long but worth waiting to see. It is amazing and, for most people, a once in a lifetime experience. Be sure to look up and enjoy one of the most famous and celebrated interior paintings in world by Michelangelo 1508-1512. It is absolutely breathtaking.

St. peters is the most incredible cathedral I’ve ever witnessed. It is from top to bottom pure perfection! It has gorgeous marble floors with circular dome ceilings letting just the right amount of sunlight in. The walls are perfectly etched and designed to perfection. One thing I thought was nice was that the church actually offers confessions by priests for whoever wishes to go in. It also offers an altar to pray at with benches and pews to kneel.

The Basilica is absolutely amazing it looks great and it’s worth spending some money to access the top of the basilica as you get an amazing view of Rome and the Vatican from here. The scale of the building makes it amazing. Very busy in the mornings due to mass so it is easier to get into during the evenings as the lines are very very very long and tedious at morning time. Must go place if you are visiting Rome. Architecture of the building is so beautiful. The paintings/ frescos are really pretty.

A must see. Architectural and artistic marvel. The scale is immense. The artworks and decor are awe inspiring. Several hours are needed for a thorough experience. A digital or online guide is recommended if you are interested in art or history. The Basilica is open every day free of charge which is especially nice and helpful to plan around other activities which require reservations. Highly recommended.

An amazing thing to behold. If you are visiting Rome, coming into St. Peter's Basilica is an absolute must! It is an incredible building with so many incredible things to see inside. This building is so much bigger and grander than any picture could accurately portray. So spectacular! There is so much history that is in here. It's kind of overwhelming. I would also recommend having a tour guide to go along with so they can accurately explain the history of each of the statues and artifacts.

The Basilica is a building you can easily spend half a day. You absolutely MUST arrive early because you will be stuck waiting a hour or more in line by mid day just to get through security. From security, you can walk into the Basilica pretty quickly. On the far right around the corner as you enter there is a hidden souvenir shop with the cheapest prices. You will also find this gift shop if you exit from the papal tombs. Anyway, as you enter the Basilica on the left is the entrance to climb to the top of the cupola. Get up there right away when you arrive to see one of the best views in Rome. It costs €8 to climb on foot, or €10 to use an elevator to get halfway up. Overall, this is the single most impressive building I have ever visited. It's absolutely gorgeous and a marvel to stand within.

Incredibly large basilica church in the Vatican City, this place is a must visit in Rome. Highly recommend paying extra to climb up the steps to the top of the dome, as well as the Treasury museum with Christian relics. Also check out the underground Papal tombs where the Popes are buried, which is free to enter. Don't let the long lines put you off, it moves moderately fast.

Beautiful, stunning, and definitely a must visit when in Vatican City! I was shocked at just how beautiful every inch of the basilica was. You know how when you visit several cathedrals, churches, basilicas, so on, they all somewhat seem the same (sorry, but it’s true)? Well, St Peter’s Basilica is about 10 of those in one location showing you how grand they can be. Breathtaking.

St Peters Basilica is the Renaissance style church located in Vatican City. It is one of the top attractions in your Rome or Vatican City trip. Every Sunday POPE comes to the balcony to wave the peoples gather in the square. The inside is really beautiful, we were amazed. You can spend hours and still you will not feel satisfied. We went on Sunday and it was quite crowded. Tourists are allowed to go to the dome which has 520+ steps. 200+ steps can be climbed by lift and rest has to go by walk. If you use lift it cost 10 euro or else 8 euro. It is worth to go to the top at any cost because you get your dream views. We used that opportunity on a Sunday afternoon to experience this panoramic. We used the lift option which looks more reasonable. Return way from dome takes you to inside of the church.

You do NOT need to dress up for this (see below). Do NOT buy anything from the vendors - they will flat out lie to you! Say NO. These marvels will leave you breathless.  It is absolutely incredible what they built and HOW they built it so long ago.  As an active church even today it is absolutely mind blowing. You do NOT have to wear pants, closed-toed shoes or anything out of the norm!  The only real requirement is you have to have your shoulders covered and they will provide you cloth to do so.  Don't buy anything from the shady aggressive street vendors!!! Shorts ARE fine as are sandals of ALL kinds.  Women with skirts or shorts too short will be provided coverups.  There is an H&M literally right next store worst case but our airline lost our luggage and we were allowed in (I asked three people working out front) with shorts, slides and tee shirts. Pro tip!  After the Vatican tour exit out the back (ask the attendants) and you can go straight to the St Peters.  If you don't, you will have to exit walk all the way around and wait in line again!

Beautiful church!!!! ⛪️ Arrive hours in advance and in the morning, it’s VERY HOT there!! Beat the heat and the crowds. Here are some amazing photos we captured. We also the preserved bodies of some of the popes / saints. Really amazing place, so much history to learn, I recommend taking a tour and you will learn way more than just going to visit.

Visited the Gardens as part of the 'breakfast beat the line' early morning Guided tour. Well worth paying the extra to be able to visit the gardens with out the big crowds. Stunning gardens and buildings even more beautiful in the early morning sun.

Beautiful, large, quiet area in the city center. Great place to take a leisurely walk and see variety of plants and parrots.

You have to book a guided tour online through Vatican Museums, which also includes access to the museum. Excellent views of St Peter's Basilica.

Spectacular experience if you have the opportunity. Get tickets in advance for a tour through the Vatican Museums. We went first thing in the morning on a summer morning and it was fantastic. The walking tour was about 1.75 Mike, with two breaks to refill water bottles and one for the bathroom. Slightly hilly and with stairs in ways that could be problematic for individuals with mobility limitations, but I think there may be a bus-based option as well. A tranquil start to your day before the frenzy of the museums.....

If you go to vatican, make sure that you book the tour of the gardens, and you won't regret it! The gardens are huge, statues decorate every little corner, and amazing landscaping will relax your eyes before you get into the museums. You will get to see St. Peter's Basilica from begind as well.

Highly recommend to visit the Vatican gardens. We did a guided visit with THE BEST GUIDE EVER Maria-Cristina. Great style of guiding, a lot of info but not too much. Great tips for other visits.

In front of the Statue of Saint Longinus by Bernini in Saint Peter's Basilica, to our right as we look at the Altar, there is a descending staircase that leads under the Basilica, to the Grotte Vaticane. From there we can see the Tomb of Saint Peter which is under the Altar and protected behind glass. Also, there are the tombs of various Popes, among them the most recent interment, that of Pope Benedict XVI, on 5 January 2023. On the floor of the Basilica are the golden air vents for the crypt. Although photos are not allowed there, I couldn't resist and snapped a few in a hurry, and that too without quality. I have repeatedly submitted a request to Google Maps to add the place to the maps but it does not approve. This is not the Vatican Necropolis that is marked on the map inside the Basilica, although some have mistakenly uploaded photos from the Grotte Vaticane there, as I eventually did.

No need to say that when you come to Rome, Vatican must be added on your list! Just amazing historical sight

Pretty cool little spot that most people miss. I’m glad a local told me about it. It’s small but has multiple levels with a lot of history inside. Not expensive either. Worth checking it out if you’re in the area

Very interesting tour under the Vatican to see the site of St Peter's tomb. Book in advance making sure you use the official site, pass through some security screens to the Ufficio Scavi. The tour guide was very interesting and knowledgeable - tours available in multiple languages and take around one hour or so. During COVID it's necessary to have a vaccination Green Pass. We also had to wear FFP2/N95 masks and they provided plastic gloves to wear. It's hot and humid even in winter. There are various stairs and uneven surfaces so not suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility issues. Photos not allowed anywhere inside. Worth a visit whether you are religious or not. Tour ends in the Basilica so you can see that at the end if you want.

The priest knew a lot to tell and always went back to what he had said earlier. Extremely interesting. Special to be so close to the tomb that we assume is Peter.

This was an amazing experience. The wait can sometimes be over an hour long so prebook a ticket or go early.

Absolutely my favourite Gluten Free restaurant choice during my stay in Rome. Excellent gluten free food, great choice for pizzas, pastas and amazing deserts. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Tho, can get quite busy due to it’s popularity, sometimes had to wait to get a table. Highly recommend and will go again when back in Rome.

Nice place and great they have gluten free food! We got the fried artichoke, zucchini flowers, and carbonara pasta. The fried artichoke was delightful, the zucchini flowers not great as they were all doughy batter, and pastas were ok. Still enjoyable and good service.

I had to leave a review for this restaurant. With a gluten free and vegan in the family, La Soffitta was on our list before we arrived in Rome for somewhere that could cater for our requirements, and we were not disappointed. The food was well marked in the menu, came with flags and there was a real confidence that they knew exactly what they were doing. A great selection of gluten free beers too. Whilst the food and drink was great, what really made this restaurant stand out were the fantastic staff and the service, but in particular Fausto, who was an absolute joy. We will be back and I highly recommend for others with similar requirements. Thanks.

We stopped here around 11:30 after our tour of the Vatican, very hungry for lunch. The outside area had plants hanging around and was just a super cute vibe, which was part of what we were looking for (along with pizza). We got the primavera pizza and it was good, and definitely plenty for us to share, however we want to get a different kind next time. This was our first Italian pizza so nothing to compare it to, but we feel we could’ve maybe ordered better. However, service was great and we didn’t get stuck sitting for long which was nice!

Found this place via Happy Cow and we think it is possibly the best vegan Italian food in Rome. (So their “normie” food must be good too, right?) There is a separate vegan menu you must request. We got fried rice fritters to start, then spinach ravioli and eggplant parmigiana, followed by some kind of chocolate filled cannoli/beignets. Maybe it was the 5 hours of St. Peter’s Basilica and Vatican Museum that made everything taste so good, but we were pleasantly surprised and would definitely go again to try other items. It is close to the Vatican and although it’s is in the basement, they have outdoor seating off the curb. Service was good 👍

Party of 4 for dinner, sat inside as all outside tables were occupied, but nice and cool inside. Dinner was great, we picked pasta and pizza options and all were great, friendly, fast service. Everyone enjoyed their choice, the spaghetti vongole was especially good. Not the cheapest, but would definitely recommend eating here!

On our first night in Rome, we were out looking for a place to have dinner. This spot looked cute and it did not disappoint. I had the homemade pasta with crab and my fiance had the seabass. Both dishes were incredible, but the pasta was some of the best I've ever had. We also ate fried squid and zucchini to start and ended the evening with the lemon sponge cake. Service was impeccable. Would definitely dine here again.

The Best Gluten Free Pizza in Rome! Great restaurant, located close to the Vatican. Huge selection of gluten free and everything we ordered was delicious. Staff were really helpful and It was very reasonably priced. Would go back to Rome just to eat here! Can recommend booking, but we didn't and they fit us in

The host tried to seat us outside and when we requested a table inside (due to the heat) he said we had to have a reservation. We kindly told him thank you, but no thank you and when we tried to leave he then gave us a table inside.. Our waiter was great and the food was wonderful. Good gluten free options! I got a gluten free pizza and it was delicious. One of our favorite restaurants in Rome.

Food was tasty, and had good covid-19 protocols to separate guests. Waiters were nice but not overly friendly but very professional! Would recommend, had a variety of options and pasta was cooked to perfection

We were not expecting to stop here for lunch. But, we saw they were AIC certified (gluten free) and so it was worth giving a try. It was a lovely experience! We sat outside and the service was very good and our waiter was kind! The menu clearly states what things are gluten-free and they put a little toothpick flag on any food that comes out and is gluten free. They even have gluten free ravioli which we have been looking for for a while now. The gluten free gnocchi is great and has a lot of good flavor! It was a great surprise finding this place.

Great for celiacs and vegetarians! Can make almost all the menu gluten free! Can make modifications for dishes to make them vegetarian (even if not in the menu) Great prices! Don’t have AC, sitting underground.

Wonderful experience and plenty of Vegan Options with an independent menu for Vegan. Staff were attentive and understanding of dietary requests, and the food was one of the best things. We ordered salads and pizza, one Vegan and one Vegetarian, and all the food was great! Would definitely come back in the future! Also Gluten Free Options for those looking.

This was an amazing EXPERIENCE for us, worth the high prices. Our waiter was phenomenal! He had good English, we loved his thick accent and personality, was very entertaining and funny and went overboard to serve us. We left him a tip even though it's not custom in Italy, we wanted to show our gratitude. The food was good, but mostly we loved the experience, atmosphere and just the perfect romantic "evening in Roma".

The food here is amazing. Especially the baked fish was so amazing it’s and wholesome experience 🩷 Paolo was very good with his service and hospitality.

I recently went to this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The food was good, but the service was not. We ordered pasta, seafood, and beef steak, and everything was cooked perfectly. The flavors were well-balanced and the portions were generous. At first, the service was good. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. However, when we did not go with his suggestions, he seemed annoyed and walked away. After that, the other waitresses ignored us. We had to flag them down to get our some ice orfor additional Coca-Cola. Overall, I would say that the food was good enough to warrant a second visit, but I would be hesitant to go back because of the bad service. Here are some specific things that I would like to see improved: The staff should be more attentive and responsive to customer requests. They should be more friendly and welcoming. They should make sure that all guests feel like they are being taken care of. I hope that the restaurant will take my feedback into consideration and make some improvements to their service. I would love to come back and have a more positive experience.

We’ve been here five times during our stay in Rome. Everything was excellent. No other restaurant we have been in could compare, honestly. What we enjoyed even more than the food though were the amazing waiters, especially Danielle and Marco. Definitely coming here next year

We probably had our best dinner and the nicest service at Papa Rex. The ravioli was perfectly made and with their recommendation I went for today’s dessert. It was so soft and creamy with the sweetest chocolate favour. Thank you Claudio!

The service was very poor. The waiter who we first ordered drinks with upon our sitting down simply ignored our table and never gave us our drinks in the end, we then asked to order our food via another waiter who seemed very reluctant to do so -I can assure you that I am not being pedantically pessimistic! We then did not receive our food for 45 minutes, however I have nothing to complain about for this as most restaurants tend to take up to -or sometimes over- this time. The food was good enough but I must finally reiterate that the service was unacceptable- we felt rather unwanted as a group dining there.

MUST VISIT!!! Visited Rome recently and Papa Rex was just around the corner from our hotel. The staff were incredible, service 10/10! The food is some of the best I've ever had! Stake that is just perfect, fish that is better than you can even imagine (fish was also fresh & local)! Everything is so reasonably priced too!

Found this real gem of a restaurant while staying in Rome June 2022! Food was amazing and so many fabulous choices. We had 18 people in our group so we were fortunate to try many different dishes and everything was extraordinary! The real highlight is the staff! So friendly and very entertaining! Best service, quality and felt like part of their family by the end of dinner. I want to go back to Rome just to go back to Papa Rex Ristorante! Don’t miss this experience just because it’s not in the heart of Rome. Just on outskirts, 5 min cab ride and so worth it. It’s more in residential district.

Beautiful Italian food. We tried so many amazing dishes tonight from lasagne, veal, beef in mushroom sauce, lobster spaghetti, seafood spaghetti, 4 cheese pizza. service was quick and the staff were very friendly!

Nice restaurant. Food was great. And the waiters were all nice except for one lady. I'll tell why- as a tourist we carry water bottles (it was 1st week of August and very hot) we entered the restaurant and were getting settled. We put the water bottle on the table. The waitress came over to put plates etc. And said pretty rudely pointing at the bottle "not in this restaurant". I don't think that was very nice.

Great food and great service! Really enjoyed the Saltimbocca and also the pasta Bolognese. Nice salad, house wine and tiramisu made for a very enjoyable dinner. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing. We ordered the cacio de pepe and meat lasagna both in fresh pasta along with a zucchini omelet which came to our surprise! Service was ok, the staff kept pushing us to sit outside as they were late opening the restaurant (it says 630pm but they didn't open their doors until 640). We opt to wait and sit inside as there were patrons smoking while waiting for doors to be open.

Nice place, good atmosphere, the food was tasty, staff attentive. Tiramisu was delicious. Strangely, they didn't serve coffee... Prices were good.

We forget to reserve a restaurant. It was eight, it was raining and it was cold. We were starving and we were wandering on the street, trying to find a restaurant. Luckily, we went in this restaurant. The waiter was nice, and the food was great. I love the carbonara made by gnocchi. The gnocchi tastes soft, I never had gnocchi like that but I love it. I guess it’s because it’s homemade. Thank you!

Low key Roman pasta joint! Service good, food is good not excellent. They can do a better job with presentation of food.

Really good spaghetti carbonara. Good prices. And they speak English! Not like in other restaurants and supermarkets. No 10% service fee as bonus. ❤️

Authentic Roman cuisine family run restaurant this is my fifth time here I bring all my family when they visit Rome. The food is delicious, well priced, the restaurant is family run with lots of local history. Can't recommend it enough. Also fantastic Tiramisu and I'm not even a dessert person.

This shop is right next to Vatican, but it’s not a tourist trap. The ice cream is delicious. The choice of flavors is not too big, but they are very good, especially the salted caramel flavor. Prices are average. The place is very small with just a few places to sit.

Honestly so good! it was difficult to choose only 3 flavours out of them all, so I came back the next day. Gelato appears to be authentic given steel tins and non-stacked appearance (no preservatives). The portion sizes are very generous for the price (if not huge) and there are several sizes to choose from. I also love that it is open to 2am and that I can get a good gelato after a night out!

Friendly staff and the ice cream was delicious. Prices were posted and we were surprised with the amount of ice cream we got for the price. You can get 3 different scoops in one cone which is amazing. Definitely recommend :)

Not Hall of famer of gelato for nothing. They have a variety of flavors from pistachio to mango, stracciatella to oreo. Dont forget to ask for whipped cream (panna) on top, It’s FREE! 😊

Their ice cream is just amazing, you can feel the high quality ingredients with every bite. The prices are super good (3-4 EUR), considering the location right in front of Vatican and St. Peter square and the size of the portion that you get! We highly recommend “Ricotta & Pistachio”flavour. Out of this world.

Really good gelato at an adorable price! Prices range from €2 onward and you get to choose 3 flavours no matter how small a cone you get! I got the €2.50 cone with Pistachio, Blueberry Yoghurt and Milk. The pistachio was very nutty and delicious, and it was definitely my favourite flavour. Both blueberry yoghurt and milk were light and creamy, and really yummy as well!

It’s a must try gelato place in Rome! Very friendly atmosphere, you get three tastes in one cone and the cone itself is super delicious (esp the cocoa one)!

Came here three times within one single trip in Italy! Hands down one of the best gelato ice cream I've ever had! Price is super affordable plus a wide variety of flavours too. The perfect snack to chill you down after visiting Vatican during the hot summer! Definitely a must try!

Excellent recommendation from our host at Cassiodoro 19. Great atmosphere, fun people watching, excellent service and delicious food. We ordered the cheapest white wine on the list and it was perfect. My only reservation is the 22€ cover charge (bread, water, dips). I did want water but didn’t eat the rest. If you take that off the bill then 50€ for 2 people (cocktail, glass of wine, entree and main) was great value

We read from the reviews that there could be a queue during lunch time so we went there a little before 12:00. We could be seated immediately and the waitresses were lovely. They helped us with the menu translation and introduced the specials. They charge you the bread but the quality was adequate. Fruit juice was okay but very cold. Also, the ginger was super strong. The food took a while to come but we were very satisfied with the taste. Thought that the portion was small but I was still very satiated after. Next to it, we ordered a chicken trapizzino and it was very crunchy and tender! When we asked for the bill, it also took a while to arrive. Anyways, I would recommend to anyone who’s near Vatican City to visit!

Everything from this place is awesome. We went here based on recommendation from a local and now I know why. The people who work here are very kind and remembered our faces when we revisited later. They have a wide array of wines to complement their many offerings from the menu. If you are confused on what to get, just ask. You can’t go wrong with anything they provide, but when in Rome (puns intended) go for a nice glass of white wine to complement one of their pastas (they also have a pizza sandwich which is to die for)!

The food and drinks were amazing. Our waiter was awesome. He took the time to explain the menu and made great recommendations. The building was cool too. Close to the Vatican but had a local vibe.

A lovely place close to St Peter's Basilica (10 min), and populated mostly by locals. Would go at the start of service in the afternoon or evening as it tends to fill up fairly quickly. The quality of the food and service were excellent, with a great wine selection.

After 8 nights in Rome, I have to say the best dining experience we had was at this restaurant. A group of friends decided to meet only for drinks at this location...but the great atmosphere, fabulous food, and outstanding service lead us to want to stay put for the evening...and that we did. The servers were all so kind, fun, and attentive. The food was top notch. Sometimes you just can't beat spontaneity.
