The history and the heart of the Order of Saint John! Absolutely stunning cathedral! Definitely you won't want to miss it! The artwork is incredible! The audioguide will tell the story of the cathedral, believe me it is very exciting! Every chapel worth a separate tour! I love come there!

Very beautiful inside. The floor is amazing. It was crowded with people on a Monday morning. Not too big, less than an hour is enough for a visit. If you don't buy your tickets online you'll need to queue up for entering, so better buy tickets online. If your shoulders are visible they'll give you a sheet to cover them while you are in.

A must to visit in Valletta, the entrance fee completely worth it. The colors and details of the architecture inside are gorgeous. An audio guide is included and it’s very nice and helpful to understand the history.

The cathedral is the only place that delights and tells the story of Malta. Really unique, with rich decorations, frescoes, paintings and sculptures. A unique and exceptional place that should be (for me) in the first place. Since August is absolutely drought all over Malta, the views are not very pleasing to the eye. The cathedral definitely pleases the eye, there is one downside, on Wednesday it is too hot, the whole crowd of visitors was wet like in a sauna, fans placed in many places did not cool. 1h hour, with automatic gid (in many languages).

It was beautiful inside, with so much art and such amazing architecture. Also, you have to enter dress decently. This means covered shoulders and reasonably long bottoms. There are paintings by Caravaggio that are huge. Don’t forget to look up and down inside, as there is art EVERYWHERE. There is also a crypt and a prayer room. You can only go in the prayer room to pray, the energy is so strong and intense. You are only allowed in to pray, please don’t take any pictures of the praying room, that will mess it up. It was beautiful in this cathedral. Don't miss it when you come to malta.

Stunning inside, simple on the outside. Very worth a visit! Entrance is 15 euros, audio guide included (kids under 12 free). Took about an hour to visit. The detail and artwork inside is incredible! Don’t miss this while in Malta!

nice place, attractive and very interesting to learn history and admire a work of art, but you cannot pay 35 euros per person to see a church, it is something that I will never understand, it is not that the church invites people as if Was it the second house of Christians? because they charge such a price and they don't even offer you a glass of water to at least receive good attention, not even that. After the price of admission, it seems to me that the place is very good, but there are times that the price makes the most of it as well. I would like to return one day and be able to enter and if they charge, it should be a cheap “alms”. in the same way everything is expensive in malta it should be clarified

St. John’s Cathedral is one top 3 highlights of Valletta and Malta for me. Impressive architecture and finishing. Lots of amazing paintings and sculptures. Great way to experience history. I loved the fact that there are audio guides made available for each visitor. The only original painting of Caravaggio with his own hand written signature is there. 😍

We are not religious but we appreciate the history and architecture of some churches and Cathedrals. The Cathedral in Valletta is the most spectacular one we have ever been in. It's absolutely stunning and well worth a visit. When you visit you must cover your shoulders and shawls are provided. There is a balcony which gives you an amazing view but there are 45 steps up to it. There is a charge for visitors.

We visited Valletta in the middle of summer, august. The city Valletta is very beautiful and charming. A train goes to aquarium, many attractive souvenir stands and off-the-cut performances. I was impressed of Caravaggio‘s artworks in Saint John’s co-cathedral. There’s more to this than meets the eye.

An absolutely stunning building. It doesn't matter if you're religious or not, this place is just breathtaking. From sculptures and detail to Caravaggio's art work, there are so many things to look at and admire. As this is a place of worship, please make sure your shoulders are covered. No vests or strappy tops. However, shawls are available.

Love what they've done with this area. The facade of the old buildings make a great backdrop for view out to the port. Some good eateries. Was quiet and relaxed fit an out of season lunchtime stop.

Historic, huge and a great place to take pictures and just walk. Sticking along the walls elevations vary and there is so much of interest. Beware of traffic coming from your right as you step into the streets.

This was a port of call for one of our stops on the Windstar cruise. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to check it out much because by the time we finished our tours in the area it began to rain. From what I could see it looked very nice and we'd hoped to tour around.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the National War Museum located within the historic Fort St. Elmo in Malta. While it may not be as well-known as some of the more popular tourist attractions, I found it to be a fascinating and informative experience. The museum offers a unique and modern approach to presenting Malta's war history, utilizing videos and projections that really bring the exhibits to life. The tour is comprised of 7 stages, starting with the first inhabitants of Malta all the way through the country's independence and accession into the European Union. Everything from the famous sieges of Malta to the brave heroism of its people is covered in detail. I particularly recommend not skipping any stage particularly No. 7, which is a periodic video projection that is shown every half-hour. Many visitors seemed impatient to wait for it and moved on to the next stage, but they missed out on a truly incredible presentation. It was well-worth the wait! Overall, I would highly recommend the National War Museum to anyone interested in learning more about the rich and storied history of Malta. The modern presentation and attention to detail truly make it a unique experience.

The place is amazing, but make sure you have 3 to 4 hours to spend there otherwise you will miss a lot especially when you travel with teenagers eager to learn something new. After 2,5 hours we managed to see only five stages. We skipped 6 with kids as we spent a lot of time at stage 4 and 5 devoted to WWI and WWII and were not interested in modern history. We just ran out of the time at 18.00 and missed stage 7 which is the most recommended. The guide told us at the gate that we will manage everything in 2 hours which is misleading, but this is with all museums at Malta. Make sure you have enough time.

A great place to visit it was empty when we went at 1pm on a Sunday. Lots of history here and lots to watch and read. A must see when coming to Valletta and learning about the history of Malta. Price was 10 euro adult and 7.50 senior. Free for under 6s.

The first part is just walking through the fortress with no signs or explanations which make you think that’s all there is. 2nd part is the museum area. Nice journey through the history of Malta broken down in 6 different rooms. The timeline comparing the events in Malta with it’s conquerors and the rest of the world offered good perspective. Wish they offered more detail about the knights and why they came here…all a bit vague.

Definitely worth a visit. Love how interactive the museum is in telling the story of Malta over 7000 years - Video films, projections on the wall, preserved clothing from medieval times are all fascinating. Also not to miss the beautiful view outside St. Elmo which is included in the €10 ticket price, well worth the value. This museum has it all for everyone.

Not so turistically exposed place describing all the war history of Malta. Modern way of presenting - videos, projections. I really enjoyed the visit. The tour consists of 7 stages - from first inhabitants of Malta, thru both sieges of Malta till Malta independence and entering into EU. Don't skip the stage No. 7! This stage is video projection that runs periodically every half-hour, many people did not want to wait to it's start, but they missed a lot!

Well worth a visit for the views . The museum is 10 euros for adults and is worth it there is plenty to view and watch the the separate parts of the museum outlining the history of Malta.

Reasonably priced entry, approx 10 euros. 7 rooms to see, each providing information on a different era of the forts use. This has a mixture of artifacts to see and some video exhibitions too. The views were also quite spectacular.

Very good museum situated within the fort complex. Well designed flow and an abundance of artefacts and content. Full of Malta’s and the fort’s history, spanning from medieval and Ottoman Empire days to joining the EU in 2004. Stroll leisurely around the exhibitions and grounds.

A great museum, without visiting it I wouldn't understand the magic of this place and the whole of Malta, a great collection and interestingly told stories, mainly military, but not only. Nice panorama from the Fort, cool price. You can get away from the overwhelming heat in the city by sightseeing.

A beautiful, very attractive garden at the top of Valletta, with incredible views. I think the best views of Valletta as well as across to the Three Cities. There are plenty of opportunities for stunning photographs, particularly around the two rows of stone archways at the back. There are public loos and a kiosk for refreshments and food. I found the Lower Barrack Gardens to be more beautiful and peaceful, and certainly less people, but the Upper Gardens have a ‘Saluting Battery’ which features a gun that is fired at midday and at 4pm everyday except Sundays which is certainly a spectacle to be seen. To view the gun being fired in the Saluting Battery, tickets are 3 euros per adult, otherwise you can stand on the balcony above it (through the archways) and have a good view - though worth getting there early as people line up quickly along the balcony, and so you might not have a clear view if you arrive late.

Decent little park, nice view… there’s cannons that go off once a day I heard, there’s a cafe… a few cute cats… and horse drawn carriages offering city tours just outside the gates.

Nice small city garden with explosive effects every day at 16:00. Just be there like 39 min. early and you won't have to pay a ticket. Although with a ticket you'd be really close, both viewpoints are attractive as with the free one you can view it more up-top. The garden features even a free toilet that is very well maintained. There are also the canons, some statues and an amazing view towards the "three cities" which is more of a district than "city". It's also nice when you see a cruise ship docking.

We visited the gardens today to watch the cannon fire and had a good time. The gardens are located above the harbour and provides the best views of the 3 cities. The place is full of memorials and monuments of icons like Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill and Thomas Maitland. Recommend visiting at noon for firing of cannons so that the visit covers everything.

Upper Barrakka Gardens have a ‘Saluting Battery’ which features a gun that is fired at 12am and at 4pm every day except Sundays which is certainly a spectacle to be seen. To watch the gun firing in the Saluting Battery, tickets are €3 per adult, otherwise you can stand on the balcony above it and have a better view. It is good to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early for a better view. I expected him to shoot from both cannons because he loaded them, but I don't know why he shot only one. There is a boy at the exit who collects money because they are an independent organization.

Cute place. Small little garden with good view of the harbour. It has a lift to help people coming from the other entrance. People come to rest and chill here and appreciate the view. It has a cafe inside which is nice to have a cold drink until the next stop.

A nice little garden with beautiful views over the harbour. It's in the centre of Valetta and easily reachable by foot. There is a gun salute all Mondays - Saturdays at 12pm. The Upper Barrakka lift can be accessed from here. It is free to go down but a ferry ticket needs to be shown to come up again. You will see a lot of stray cats in the bush resting and do not disturb them. Also, check out the film trail in the centre of the garden to see where some of the famous movies were filmed. You could spend an easy few hours in the garden for the photographic spot and a must do if you are in the city.

Lovely place to sit, have a drink or a bite to eat. There is a restaurant with outdoor seating. A great place to walk around and take in the views of the island from within Valletta's walls. You have to experience it at night as well, the city is lit up and it's really impressive.

Outside of the scheduled battery firing, it is really the view of the Three Cities that takes your breath away. The park itself and the botanical life wasn’t well maintained but perhaps because it was midsummer’s hottest day. I recommend going to the elevator on the corner of the park and go down to the sea level… give you that fresh perspective compare to up top! Recommended for that generic but very beautiful photo of the skyline across Valetta’s eastern shore!

A beautiful place with amazing story. I highly recommend to see a show at noon! It was pretty interesting to see. It's easy to get there by walk, in the early April there were a lot of people so in the summer time in must be really crowded but anyway it's worth to see.

The movie about Malta was enjoyable and the sound was good. The tour afterwards was led by the wonderful guide, Anna and was, for me, a very special Malta experience. She guided us through what was at the time a wonderful hospital, which was used by men only. She showed us where the garden used to be, which is now an historical theatre where Presidents Bush and Gorbachev met at a summit. She also explained the meaning behind the 8-point Maltese cross. All in all, she made the tour every interesting. Also important, there are public toilets which were very clean.

My husband's parents are both Maltese but he has not been to Malta since he was 2 years old (almost 50 years ago) and since this was my first time visiting Malta, we decided to check out The Maltese Experience based on a recommendation from a friend. We are glad we did because we both really enjoyed it. We were a little concerned at first because my husband is 6'6" and once you go downstairs, you have to walk through a long tunnel that is not very tall and at times, his head would brush against the ceiling. But all was good once we entered the shop. We were delighted to find that the shop and the theatre were very well air-conditioned because we were there in August and it was truly hot outside. We were provided headsets that offered commentary in your choice of language. We both found the documentary to be enjoyable and informative. My husband even learned some things he did not know. After the documentary, we took a guided tour of the La Sacra Infermeria. Our guide was delightful and we found it to be truly interesting. The Malta Experience was an overall enjoyable experience and it was nice to learn about the country at the start of our visit to Malta. We would definitely recommend it to those visiting Malta for the first time. *Note: The seats in the theatre are fairly small and the rows are a bit tight. Given my husband's height, we had to sit in the very front row because he was too tall to fit in the other rows.

We did the movie and the guided tour afterwards and would highly recommend both. The movie was very well done and had a lot of language options through the provided headsets. The tour of the Infirmary, specifically our guide, was also very informative!

Although the facilities are slightly outdated (cinema room itself), the movie is very interesting and educational. Would recommend going there, especially at the beginning of your visit to Malta. Friendly guide that gave the tour afterwards! ✨

Beautiful place to visit. Crystal lagoon, Camino Island, Gozo, Madina city, Valletta are the amazing destination to visit. Food is good, but for Muslims not very easy to find halal food.

Delicious sushi (definitely worth trying for fans) and amazing cocktails. They were a bit understaffed so we had to wait a bit more than expected at least for the drinks. The atmosphere was really nice.

This was an amazing sushi restaurant. The cocktails were delicious. They even had a live saxophone player dancing around the restaurant. We had the sharing player for €84 which was ample for 4 people. I couldn’t recommend this place enough if you love sushi. The desserts were spectacular too. A great way to spend an evening

Cool restaurant with very original Japanese fusion fare. Started off with cocktails- interesting selection and some original presentations. The sushi was very nice and again pleasing to the eye. Mains were AMAZING and the swerving staff were very friendly and made the whole experience very pleasant. Recommended!

Visited Aki for Saturday lunch and found the experience to be excellent! A swanky, modern and clean interior that is well-suited for sushi. Music was also modern at an appropriate volume…another plus. Our server was excellent… friendly, kind, knowledgeable of the menu, attentive… everything you’d want. The sushi and beverages were excellent… the fish was super fresh, with interesting flavors and all were artfully presented. I will return here while in Malta as it is everything I expect from a fantastic sushi experience. Thank you!

This is a fun bar restaurant. I sat at the bar and watched the restaurant slowly fill up. Bar man and manager was professional, friendly and managed well. Food and drink can't ask for more. Creative cocktails. Food nicely flavored and fresh. Service fast.

We went here after reading about it in the Michelin guide. While the food was delicious with an extensive and varied menu, the service was lacklustre. Drink orders took an inexplicable amount of time to come out, and the staff seemed to get confused easily (couldn’t answer a question on the menu, and tried to bring us our neighbours dishes…). Highlight was the deep fried eggplant, plus the karaage was a very generous portion. Dessert was an interesting flavour combo and perfect to share one dish. A good choice if you fancy some Asian or Japanese food in Valletta.

Amazing place!! Super good food, ambiance, and service ! I had the flame salmon, the geisha cocktail and the pork gyoza and they all were super good. Not to mention our waiter Andie!! Super attentive, sweet, and helpful giving us very good recommendations. Loved him. We got lucky to get a table at 8:30 since it gets packed so make reservations or come early. 10/10 recommend.

Almost by accident we've reached this wonderful Sushi restaurant. We were greeted by the lovely Nancy, and all the team. We didn't really know what will be but if judging by the looks of the place and the style of the dishes (and cocktails) on the menu, we knew it will be either a blast or a flop. AND! ... it was amazing. Everything. The Sushi is creative an unique, the cocktails(!) wow. So thank you for an amazing experience guys (and Nancy!). If ever in Malta again in the future, we'll drop by once more.

Enjoyed a lot more drinks than food. They offer very beautiful and creative yet tasty cocktails! Staff is international and friendly! Let us seat at the bar as reservation was must during Christmas season. Highly recommend for drinks Food is average : oyster was not as fresh Roles were okay. Duck steak was tasty though small quantity.

We couldn’t fault our experience at Aki! This was by far our best meal in 3 weeks of travelling around Europe - food, drinks, service and ambience were all phenomenal! Plenty of delicious vegetarian options, generous portions, beautifully served drinks and we even had a roaming saxophonist playing along with the DJ music! We also had great service from Tijo M and all the other staff were lovely and friendly. Definitely sit inside for best ambience - the lights on the bar were also stunning!

If you are a sushi lover, that’s your place! Not only the food but service goes just beyond expectations. As they first asked for any intolerance or allergies, we asked for gluten-free and lactose-free options and they suggested the ones indicated for both. Even though they stepped further and adapted some of our plates to gluten-free. Thank you for making our dinner a great experience!

A very unique restaurant. Large vintage collections inside. Lovely menu. Outside and inside sitting. My smoked salmon and shrimp salad was delicious, with asparagus, fresh shrimps, smoked salmon, spinach, black olives and tomatoes. My husband had garganelli salmon and shrimp pasta, which was good but rather a small portion, for a main course, by Maltese standards. Daniel, our waiter was very helpful, kind and professional.

We had octopus, fish and pasta with shrimps and salmon, and everything tasted great! The food was extremely delicious and the dishes were big. The staff is polite and the life music is very pleasant.

The food was good. I took the spaghetti with sea food and it was good. A bit spicy for my taste, but overall was good. The service was friendly and helpful. The location was also nice. Shadow and fans that helped with the heat and there was live music in front. I believe provided by the restaurant.

Totally happy based on our 3 visits over 4 days, engagement with staff was totally positive based on ‘reading the room’. Pasta dishes and risotto were at least as good as mainland Italy, pacheri carbonara shavings of parmigiana and pistachio crumbs,gitarra seafood pasta including whole grilled prawns and shelled baby prawns , succulent marinated slow cooked ribs were melt in mouth,braised rabbit sensational flavors , todays treats included a draught beer and sparkling water icy cold , recommend 👍👍

Although I arrived after 10 p.m. and was alone, the staff quickly offered me a table. They kindly allowed me to charge my spare phone battery while dining and when I mentioned that my table was a little dark, quickly brought me a candle to brighten it up. Started with a glass of local white wine. Very nice and refreshing. My starter was the Fried Maltese Goat cheese with cranberry sauce and it was delicious. My main was the vegetarian eggplant parmigiana: also very tasty, although part of the eggplant seemed a bit undercooked (I know how hard it is to get that right!). During my meal, I had the pleasure of enjoying the live jazz wafting over from the nearby Babel café. All in all, a very pleasant experience!

Looks nice from outside, but don't expect a food experience here. It is very simple food and same service, both are meant for a fast table turnover. The feeling was that we are at the food factory and are always on the waiters' way. Nothing was really wrong and yet it's left a sad feeling. With putting more focus in to guest-centred training (comfort and attention to their guests)D'Office can significantly improve it's rating.

As someone who prides themselves on their discerning palate, I was excited to visit D' Office Bistro based on their previous reviews. However, I must say that my experience was nothing short of appalling. Let's start with the mussels pot. I was expecting a delectable seafood feast served in a pot, but what I received was a sad excuse for a dish with tiny, unsatisfying mussels. The octopus was similarly disappointing, lacking any of the freshness that one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. And don't even get me started on the salmon and shrimp penne. I don't know who was manning the salt shaker in the kitchen, but they must have had a vendetta against our taste buds. The dish was so oversalted that it was nearly inedible. The icing on the cake? The tea, which tasted like it had been boiled in tap water. I don't know about you, but I don't like my peppermint tea to taste like I'm sipping on seawater. To add insult to injury, our server who helped us with the bill was far from polite. It's a shame, really, because the first server who took our order was quite nice and friendly. I'm not sure what happened to them in the interim. I can't help but wonder what those Google Maps reviewers were thinking. This was easily the worst restaurant I've had the misfortune of trying in Valletta. The only redeeming quality was the dining environment, which was quite cozy and had a pleasant vibe. But let's be real, if I wanted to eat in a nice atmosphere without decent food, I'd go to a café instead. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs.

This place is named : CAFÉ WINE BAR BISTRO You can sit inside or outside on the terrace. Even here you sit protected when it is raining or when the weather is bad. We were sitting inside very comfortable. The Bar is offering plenty of different spirits and wines. The service was fast and friendly. This Bar has very fair prices! For a glass of white wine I got charged with 4,50 € and one Espresso was charged with 2 €. The clean toilet is upstairs! I can highly recommend this Bar with BISTRO. My subjective individual rating: AMBIANCE: 3-4 STARS PRICE AND VALUE FOR MONEY: 4 STARS SERVICE: 4 STARS QUALITY OF DRINKS: 4 STARS

Our first impression of the restaurant was of an authentic Italian pizzeria. Based on other reviews we had high expectations for this place. However, food and service were not what we expected. It doesn't mean that the pizzas weren't good, but they weren't worth rave reviews, either. Furthermore, the staff didn't seem to really care about our experience. We felt it was more like 'eat and leave' rather than a place that cared about customer satisfaction. Not sure if we would visit again.

One of the best Pinsa (pizza) I’ve had in my life. If I could rate it 6 out of 5 I would. Nice atmosphere in this basement restaurant in Valletta. We arrived with no booking and we’re promptly given a table although the restaurant was very busy.

By far the best Pizza and Tiramisu in Malta. Very friendly, amazing Service and a good wine card to choose from. All ingredients are fresh! They also offer take away.

Taste of food is excellent. Portions a bit small compared to value for price but fulfilling. I don't like being served on a wooden board as I don't find it very hygienic. The desert, I took cannoli which were excellent however how this is served is very cafeteria style. Rose wines no choice, and the decor needs a bit more improvement and a bit more light and please put some low Italian music. Overall they will see me again as the taste of food was very good.

The most tasty food we ate during our visit in Malta. The pizza was so thin and tasty with crunchy pastry and fresh ingredients. The tiramisu (pistachio or normal) was light and full of taste, one of the best i had in my life. We ended up going again to the place. The prices normal to cheap for generous portions. The service super friendly and helpful. Totally recommended and totally worth it.

Seriously one of the best pizzas I ever had. I'm a pizza lover, I know when pizza is good, like really exclusive top sh*it good 😃. The Tiramisu was out of this world too. Actually, the best I had. I want to be back haha.

I recently stumbled upon this restaurant, which is a bit hidden away underground and easily missed if you're just walking on the street. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza - it was really good and great value for money. The presentation of the pizza on wooden boards is a good idea, but the boards themselves are quite old and could use an update. Unfortunately, the wine selection was limited, both in terms of options by the glass and on the wine list as a whole. On the bright side, the interior of the restaurant has a charming Italian authentic feel to it, the italian ambiance music in the background was also nice. The service was fast and the staff were welcoming - I didn't have any complaints in that regard. I enjoyed my experience at the restaurant and would definitely consider visiting again in the future.

The best pizzas that we have eaten ever! Nice restaurant with fast service and very friendly staff. We will recommend it and we will return as soon as possible!

Would I eat here again knowing what I know? No. I was very disappointed with my pizza. I had read very good reviews and read that it was the best pizza in Valletta. My crust was burnt and the sauce was tasteless. The mushrooms and ham was good though. Also the service was not that great - the staff really didn’t seem to care the we were there If you found my review helpful please let me know by giving me a thumbs up.

We had an amazing meal here. Despite arriving quite late for lunch and the other dinners finishing their meals and heading out they sat us without fuss. I then had the best octopus dish I have ever had followed by a perfectly cooked cartouche. Wife’s good also delicious seafood. Service was impeccable and the dining room is in a beautiful setting adorned with their numerous awards. It was only when we were leaving did we notice the huge board at the entrance with all their news-clippings. A perfect place for a long lunch or a special dinner.

Popped by as I saw the high reviews. The restaurant itself has a beautiful interior with high ceilings. The food was also great. The ravioli was a little disappointing but the vongole was the solid and the dressed raw shrimp were very fresh. They serve complementary starters like bread with an infused butter which I enjoyed. It does contribute to the slightly more expensive pricing but I think it is justified.

Great environment and service. Had the octopus for starter and the amberjack steak for main. Both were brilliant! The dressing for octopus was tasty to the last drop. The amberjack was thick and perfectly grilled. Had a complimentary soup which was lovely~ would recommend!

Wonderful experience dining here! Portions were large, which made the prices very fair. I had octopus and the local fish special. The octopus was cooked to perfection! The fish was also nice and tender and flavourful. They brought us limoncello shots on the house at the end! I would recommend coming here for sure! A meal with one starter and two mains cost us around 75 euros. Just one thing, if you're sitting outside beware of the cigarette smoke from the bar next door.

Disappointed but Jan saved the day. We will discuss later. Decor was nice but to use paper napkins in my opinion is a huge mistake. It downgraded the whole experience. As stupid as it sounds, the paper napkins really annoyed me and makes it déclassé. The service was not warm and inviting and needs a lot of training. For example, I dropped my paper napkin and the server said “let me get you a new one”, but never came back. I had to get a napkin off another table. And when I ordered the bottle of wine, the server forgot to bring it over. As the food was coming, I asked where is the wine. The server apologized and said “I forgot.”When you order a bottle of wine, one should also not have to keep pouring your own wine. And when you finish the courses the plates should be removed. Also, the atmosphere was too warm. And now the food review. I felt the food all around was just mediocre. I ordered two fish, one recommended by the server and it was not good. I had one baked and the other grilled but both did not have enough salt. Thankfully, Jan did the right thing and comped the flying fish (do not order). The best dish was the special rabbit stuffed pasta, I thought it was very good. Overall, I was looking forward to this experience but it turned out to be less then expected. In all due respect, if you train the servers and get linen napkins the experience will improve dramatically. The rest depends on the food which I believe has the potential. Sorry for the honesty and I hope the owners take the criticism as a way to improve.

Great food, amazing atmosphere! The staff were very welcoming and helpful, while the menu is filled with delicious dishes. The restaurant also offers fresh fish, which they bring for you to choose from. If you are a seafood lover, definitely try the Seafood Risotto, it was absolutely amazing!

We could not have chosen a better restaurant for our final lunch in Valletta prior to flying out. We had made a reservation online the day before which was fortunate as the restaurant was very busy. The room feels very grand & all the staff that we dealt with were very professional & efficient. We had the most wonderful meal……Starters - Whitebait Fishcakes (delicious) & Rabbit Liver (truly outstanding) & Mains - pasta of day – stuffed shells of pasta with fish & prawns (taste sensation) & the Shellfish Platter à la Palazzo Preca is one of the best seafood dishes we have ever had the pleasure of eating. Wine list was extensive & well priced. Make sure you put this restaurant on your must visit list!

Excellent food and service. After the order we get two compliments from chef. When you come in the evening, reservation is neccesary. For lunch you don't have to reserve a table.

Make sure to get a reservation. This place is always busy. The food was really nice. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My friend was feeling cold and they reduced the AC. I had the risotto and it just melted in my mouth. It was delicious!

Amazing location of the restaurant. First impression I had when I walked in was like I was in old Museum. Really something that you don’t see quiet often. We had a lot of dishes, and each one of them was amazing. Food smells great, fresh and taste even better. Strongly recommend the seafood since I am not a big fan of it, but it surprised me in a good way! Definitely will come again! 👍🏿

We ordered risotto with different types of mushrooms and pasta with clams, and they both tasted amazing. In the end, they gave us a shot of lemoncelo on house, which was very kind of them.

The food and service here was excellent! There was so much attention to detail and care put to everything. I dropped my fork and someone came immediately and replaced it. We were often checked up on how our meal was going. We got the: - Insalata ta' Rosario with goat's cheese | maltese sausage | coloured lettuce | olives | capers | sundried tomatoes - Spaghetti Seafood - Linguini Caruso Classic - Item from the special menu that had hake like fish steamed with prawns, clams and mussels to share - Hazelnut eclair and Panne Cotta for desserts Wish we got the sea bass instead since the fish had very little flavor by itself. Overall, the service and experience were fantastic and we were really care for the entire time.

I found the food to be good....not great. The Fish Soup, Charred Octopus and the Mushrooms were all three in the same contents (brown sauce)...the the soup might have had cooking sherry in it and the octopus may have had turn dried tomatoes....but I found the chef wasn't really putting out his best with 3 identical sauce bases. The restaurant was clean, the service was very friendly though a bit confusing having 6+ waiters for a few appetizers....the quality of the ingredients was freshest I've from a restaurant....well chosen produce. 5 appetizers only 3 bar drinks $156.00 Euro....I didn't feel the best value for this type of money; but it was my first night in Malta and maybe I will be proven wrong...I'm not interested in a bar that sells food...if this classic restaurant is my only option...I'll be shocked. I will definitely try this place again...my idea was to try many appetizers...their menu was quite extensive. We did have a special server from Colombia with a nice smile and was very kind (she took our evening from good to great!!!)...don't get me wrong they were all kind and very cordial...it was just so many different persons for just the two of us and it made it quite confusing ordering our 2nd rounds of drinks. I look forward to trying their menu again and cross my fingers Malta has other options to try. I'm still happy I found this restaurant.

We had a great Saturday dinner! After all this years, this restaurent still delivers top food and service in a lovely atmosphere. From starter to dessert, the food was very well executed and tasty. Staff was really helpful and friendly.

Good drinks and amazing food. We went there for the happy hour and orderer some appetizers and three burgers. Everything was very taste, and we love the location too! The price is medium, for three, 2 appetizers, 4 drinks and three burgers 35 € / each, and we ate a lot! Absolutely suggested!

I have to visit every Hard Rock in every country I go to, and Malta was no exception. The venue is pretty small compared to the ones I visited, but still has the same vibe, same great staff and great food. We stayed outside by the Waterfront and its actually nice. We order the American Sliders and the Jumbo Combo. It was good, but we just found the spring rolls to be a bit spicy ( to be fair, we don't like spicy 🥵 ) . I recommend the Brownie with ice cream, but share it with someone, cause it's massive!

I visited this restaurant at lunchtime and at a time when there was a cruise ship in the port and some of the customers were from this ship, but still there was no problem to sit inside or outside. typical Hard Rock environment but very pleasant and excellent service. The portions were large and tasty. Pprice for lunch for 2 even with a drinks up to 50 Euros.

First time in Hard Rock Cafe in Malta. Really nice experience. Great relaxing atmosphere, very friendly but professional staff. Drinks were absolutely amazing, I was very positively surprised, to be honest. Nachos were also great, both presentation and taste. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place even if you want to spend the evening out. And it's in Valletta waterfront, very nice and relaxing place there is outside seating as well if you want to chill by the sea.

HardRock Cafe in Malta was awesome! Great food and the service was great! Ate here our last night visiting Malta and we weren't disappointed at all! The staff was very attentive as well, will definitely come back!

Our experience was very good! The burgers were amazing and didn’t fill us up too much so at the end of the meal we were perfectly fine (no starters ordered!). We asked for medium rare burger but got it medium+ so just more attention to the timing of cooking the meat. Our server Virginia and the host who welcomed us were both great and knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. A 9/10 and definitely recommended place for atmosphere, drinks, food! Cocktails were also super delicious!

this hard rock cafe is a bit small. only one person was serving all the tables, poor guy, so it was slow but well we were not in a rush. from food the steak salad was really good!!! the chicken was nothing impressive
