Good place to go for the beach it’s clean and A day bed with a table and umbrella will cost 300-500Pesos depending on the season the beach is pretty clean here but be wary of the restaurant they have a service fee added to your bill which takes the place of a tip but all the waiters will want a tip no tip bad service

The best beach I’ve visited in the area. Even in winter season you can enjoying visit it. We were into a beach club with live music and amazing food but you can visit it for free. Just remember carry on your own drinks 🍺 and food 🥘 is a touristic place and for that reason the prices are highest.

A really nice beach located north of the Hotel Zone in Tulum. Parking is first-come-first-serve along a narrow beach lane so unless you show up early you'll probably need to pay around 100 MXN plus tip to a beach club attendant to be able to park. The beach itself is gorgeous and free to enter, if you choose there are chairs and sun loungers you can rent from a beach club, they are 100-200 pesos per day. Drinks are very reasonable, and tasty. The pina colada was the best I had in Quintana Roo. The water is nice though some sargasso is present and you'll notice it but it's not bad at all. The beach is swept of sargasso on regular basis, but you'll still notice some in the sand. Came back here for three days in a row, I guess we liked it.

Completely filled with sargazo, no cleaning, horrible smell. No sign of paradise at all. This is Paraiso for the owners of hotels and beach clubs with the prices they give taking into account very poor condition of the sea and the beach. Shame!

One of my favorite beaches in Tulum. Lots of restaurants to eat at and hang out at the beach. They offer parking, $200 pesos.

Nice beach but seaweed/sargassum makes it dirty and stinky. Riff in about 2 min by boat where you can find not colorful corals but swim with sea turtles and manta rays. No showers or changers at the beach

It is used to be a beautiful Caribbean beach around 5 years ago. Now it is spoiled with sargassum. Apart from nature problems, in beach clubs like everywhere in Tulum tourists are seen as bags with money. Everything is overpriced and they try to scam you all time. The beach can be accessed with your own car , by scooter or bike. Even though it is a state natural reserve they are only private parkings that charge you 250 or 300 pesos a day. If you come by taxi be prepared to pay a fortune to go back. There is no bus or any ither public transportation. You are left with no choice. From February and till end of summer it is full of sargassum and no one cares to clean it. It is a pity that all private beach clubs and hotels do not take care of the beach and just use nature to put their business. I hope people will realize it and stop going for locals finally to realize that they are in charge of providing conditions for tourist. Tons of sargassum do not even let you approach the water. Instead of cleaning it , they came up with idea of taking you 50 meters away from the shore by boat for you to be able to enter the water. Xpu ha beach is much nicer experience.

Amazing! Beautiful cave cenote, with crystal clear waters and incredible rock formations (estalactites, estalagmites and marine fossils). Guided tour with groups of up to 10 people cost MX$650 or US$35 per person, and it lasts between 45 to 60 minutes. We got there early, and there’s a tolerance of 20 minutes for a group to form, the group leaves with the people who arrived in these 20 minutes (mine had only 5 people in total).

The most beautiful cenote we’ve visited in Tulum! It was a different world in here, seeing all the stalactites and stalagmites, underwater caves, it was really amazing. Our tour guide, Jose, knows his stuff and speaks very good English. Definitely a must visit!

This cenote is amazing. The best cenote we have been in and we have been to several. Don’t waste your time going to other cenotes. Our guide was great very knowledgeable about the history and the cenote. Very funny and entertaining as well as helpful. Worth every peso we spent. So beautiful.

Such a great experience. We were afraid of swimming so Issa our tour guide, let us latch on to his life jacket and took us through the whole cavern!!! The new stalactites, bats, little fish everything was phenomenal.You can snorkel a bit too to check the Definitely take the life jackets and wet suit, since most of the cenote is underwater. The total cost is 650pesos/35$ per person as of April 2022. The experience and service value is way beyond the price.

An out of this world kind of experience! We did 10 cenotes and this one is definitely in our top 3! It was 650 pesos per person and it included the guide and the equipment! A very good price for what it is worth! The cenote is mostly enclosed, very wide, complexe, absolutely unique and stunningly beautiful! My boyfriend and I were there on a sunday afternoon on the last tour of the day and had the chance to have a guide only for us two! He was super nice and gave us precious knowledge about mayan culture and the cenote system in Yucatan! Thank you for the incredible experience!

We went on the hour tour with wet suit, lifejacket and snorkel provided. It's a bit pricier than other cenotes but this takes you into the caves. It was very cool and spooky at times! The guide was great. Bring a waterproof pouch or by one there and the guy will take photos of you during the tour

Very nice and spacious. Ruins are preserved quite well and the views of the water and beach below are stunning. There are a few nicely cut out viewpoints for the ultimate photos. Oh! And many awesome iguanas posing for your photos and walking around minding their business. Great way to spend part of your day. ( there’s also guides around if you want the true historical tour )

Interesting stop as part of a tour. Suggest a hard pass unless you find viewing the ruins a must see. Non stop vendors enticing you to stop for pics with monkeys, iguanas, or parrots. Oh, and don't forget the excruciating heat. Bring water, a fan and a quick ride back.

Designated UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981 . 600-800 year old Mayan ruins. A gem from Mayan history. Hire a guide who can provide you historical insights. Beautiful seaside property. Strategic coastal location aided trade and connections. Unique defensive walls and fortifications for protection of inhabitants.

Tulum was beautiful. We visited as part of a tour and we think that is the best way to go if you want to learn more about the history. It is a popular attraction. I recommend going as early as you can to avoid crowds. Also note that it’s very hot and a bit of a walk. So wear a hat and comfortable walking shoes - I did neither and that is my only regret.

Absolutely Fabulous, definitely a gorgeous historical site. If you care about the history I'd recommend reading up on it before visiting. The guides are well educated but they each decide which buildings and stories/histories to highlight so the more you know in advance the better. Bring plenty of water and an umbrella if possible. It was scorching in the beginning of our August visit. Requires about 15 of walking to get there and the grounds are not that big but wear comfy shoes. We were there for about an hour. Strongly suggest going and seeing the overlook of the Beach. The ground is uneven but it's easy as long as you don't have mobility issues.

Amazing place! Anyone who loves history, must come see this. Pay for the tour guide at the entrance. Every building, road, sign, picture, just about every stone has meaning behind it. It is just great to have someone tell you and story and meaning behind it.

I loved this place, which is very small, perfect to do two different activities in the rest of the day. My recommendation is to take a guided trip. You will understand and appreciate more the ruins if you know the maya history.

The place is spectacular... First there's a 500m walk before entrance you can choose to take the "train" (a bus jungle styled) for 25 pesos round way. Even arriving early in the morning there's a lot of people but it doesn't take much time to get in. Theres a temperature check before tickets, then tickets which is not too crowded since most people have it in advance, and then the ticket check and you're in. You should take the tour following you're left side all the time, since this one will take you up to the breathtaking ocean views and you'll get to explore the whole place. It says is stroller friendly, it is not. You can so a smaller tour if in wheelchair or with a stroller without getting up up near the ruins. Outside you can find souvenir shops, restaurants and shops, shops, shops. Also people with costumes and some art to take pictures with. A must visit when in Tulum !

To get the tickets 🎟️ you can buy them at the entrance for 85 pesos, there is also an option with a guide tour for 200 💸(I suggest that one - you avoid the long line). Purchase the water in the bookstore before to get in 💧you will need it. All the info ℹ️ an map 🗺️ can be found in the QR at the entrance. 🌂 Take a umbrella with you if possible to protect yourself from the sun ☀️. The ruins are next to the beach 🏖️ so the view is amazing. 🚶🏼‍♀️Near by you can access the Santa Fe Tulum beach 🌊 I got there walking from the ruins. Hope you find this useful ❤️

This place is amazing!! You really need a guided tour to explain all the history you are seeing! But it is a very long walk to get them and then a lot of walking inside so may not be great for anyone with children who can't walk all of that.

The view from the top of the plateau and the dramatic coastal landscape was more impressive than the ruins themselves. It’s worth a day trip from Cancun but I wouldn’t stay longer than a couple hours 👍

What an experience! We explored cenotes, some with underground caves, led by a fun tour guide. The water is cold but refreshing. I would recommend bringing water shoes and a waterproof phone case for photos. Everything else can be placed in a locker (a few dollars to rent).

It’s a beautiful place. Very nice for tourists. Well marked off the road with clear directions. There is the first parking lot where you buy your tickets and can do free tequila tasting. They don’t pressure you into buying anything extra or even photo packages like other places. You then drive to the main parking lot with clear directions. There they have lockers to rent for 100 pesos to keep you belongings in. They have bathrooms and many small snack booths. After the tour, you can stay and swim in the above ground Cenotes for as long as you want (until they close). The staff was friendly and Max, our guid was awesome. Very family oriented and I felt safe there. The only down side was how crowded it was. I would highly recommend this place. If you go bring goggles so you can look in the water!!!

Our hotel recommended this place, we were a bit cautious but we loved this place. It was a bit crowded, we have to first wait 15 minutes to get the entrance tickets and then you drive a bit more to deep. Entrance is 650$ each but if you book from hotels it is 400$. We put our stuff to car since there is a free tour that goes 4 cenotes and you have to leave your belongings somewhere. You can find fruits and pancakes nearby. Restraurant is very crowded.

Fantastic experience. They give you a nice little tour of a few of the places then you can go and spend time In the open ones without your group. Food onsite is fantastic.

Our experience was wonderful, and our guide, Flaco did an amazing job! It was affordable, they provided equipment and options to buy waterproof cases for our phones too. It was roughly an hour and a half long tour. We visited four cenotes and found out some cool facts.

First time visiting the cenotes and it did not disappoint. The water was crystal clear, cold and beautiful. Our family had a wonderful time.

Exceptional. I am so happy I read reviews for local cenotes prior to choosing a location. Visiting Tortuga Tulum has been my best experience so far in Tulum. The staff is professional and friendly. Tours for cenotes are organized and are great for 1st time visitors and families. The best value and experience hands down. You will not regret your visit. Consider bringing waterproof phone bag/gear.

We had so much fun here today! Javier was a great tour guide. You can tell he loves his job. Can't miss experience. The cenotes were amazing. The club was such a vibe. We are so happy we went to this place.

This was our first time here and we had an amazinggggg time!! Staff was friendly, alert and facility was clean. Our tour guide Daphne was AMAZING! I think we had the best group thus far lol. She was funny, polite, helpful, very knowledgeable about the history and she even helped some parents become comfortable who didn’t want to get in the water but sent their children. Daphne made sure everyone was safe and comfortable. She definitely deserves a raise 🙌🏽 The water was super cold but you got use to in once in for a couple of minutes, make sure to bring your waterproof phone case and your energy. The closed in caves were just right in terms of feeling claustrophobic, it didn’t have me feeling that way at all and you’re out within no time. There is a photographer that goes along with your group and has pictures for purchase at a reasonable price, afterwards. Way to go, we had the time of our lives!!

The best part of our Riviera Maya vacation. We did a Tulum ruins and cenotes excursion primarily for the ruins but the cenotes were the highlight – much better than anticipated. We did four different ones: two cavern ones, an open one, and a “lazy river” one. All were great. A must-do if you’re in the area.

Fun because you get to see 4 cenotes - 2 undergroud and 2 open for fair price of850pesos - with lunch included. The guide was funny. The cenote water were refreshing and clear. The underground cenotes were impressive too. Lunch wasn't the best - only have tacos and they weren't good at all - we actually got sick in the evening. Would recommend switching the lunch included for the zipline activity. For 100pesos more /per person, we got to soend the afternoon at their cenote club (fifth cenote) - nice place but not the best cenote cmub, water is blurry yet refreshing, drinks and food are expensive but location is impressive.

Words cannot explain how great of an experience this was. The logistics were a breeze through Trip Adviser and we only spent $45 per person for a two hour private tour with a kick-a$$ tour guide, Raphael. He took us way back through the cenotes and showed us some very impressive spots. More extreme and exciting than I ever have imagined!

SCAM ALERT!!! This business does not take you to the labnaha cenote anymore. It does not offer any of the services advertised on its website, such as tours, snorkeling, zip, lining, etc. It massively up charges you for what is actually a ticket to the operation next-door called Casa Tortuga, which is a tourist trap amusement park. It also will not give you your deposit back if you booked online. There’s just one extremely rude guy at the building who checks your reservation and then sends you next-door to a completely different establishment, which will also not take you to the Labnaha cenote.

Go here, it is worth every penny!! If you're looking to Zipline use the guys that take you to this cenotes. They are fun, encouraging, good at their jobs, and feed you when your done!

This place is a scam! We were looking for cenote caracole and they lied to us claiming that the name has changed now and they wanted to sell us access to other cenotes and tried to charge us double the price. Avoid this place at any cost!

Excellent experience during our stay at Le Zebra in Tulum. Staff is super friendly and efficient, from check in to room service and concierge. They know how to take good care of guest. The check in process was quick, we loved our sea facing room with hot tub. Room service is great, everything is delivered in almost a few minutes. The location is perfect, a quieter part of town yet close to everything. The beach is gorgeous, they keep it clean regularly. We enjoyed the beach club the most, we spent most of our time in one of the many sun beds on the beach, enjoying amazing cocktails and food from the restaurant. The restaurant is one of the best in the area, we loved the breakfast there. Overall a great experience with clean and well maintained rooms. However the highlight for the property is the beach club and the restaurant. Cannot wait to go back! Highly recommend Le Zebra when in Tulum!

Wow! Just Wow! We travel often and I will say the service, location, and accommodations is solidly above the norm. They are helpful, pleasant, and constantly cleaning everything. Security is ever present as well tp make you feel at ease. 5 stars.

La Zebra Beach Club itself is a gem, with its laid-back atmosphere, stunning views, and a delectable menu that catered to all tastes. They did and excellent job keeping the beach clean from sargazo and had very comfortable beach cabanas. It was Marco who added that extra touch of warmth and hospitality that made our visit truly memorable.

So we didn't stay in the hotel, but we went to the rooftop for drinks and food. It was amazing! The staff is so attentive and helpful, and the tacos were SO good. I'm vegetarian and they still made multiple tacos as an option for me. Highly recommend this joint! *Also, parking right across the street! Rare find for beach road in Tulum

Friendly service at the restaurant. Delicious coffee and juices, but the beach club was a bust. I was told by the coordinator that the beds were only for customers staying at the resort (even though there were plenty available at the time I was there) so don’t plan to come here for the beach if you are not staying there. I was offered a “boat” which had no shade and would still require a $60 consumption fee which was separate from the restaurant tab. Apparently they are separate entities, not sure if they had separate menus as I opted not to stay and didn’t inquire further.

I had the pleasure of dining with my girl at the restaurant in La Zebra Hotel Tulum and was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the stylish decor and the vibes that set the stage for a truly memorable meal. The food was absolutely divine, with each dish more delicious than the last. The flavors were bold and well-balanced, and the presentation of the dishes was nothing short of artful. To top it all off, the service was impeccable and the ambiance was truly romantic. It is the perfect place for a special dinner or date night."

Loved it and will be back again! Customer service was a top notch. Everyone was super friendly and Joss and everyone working there was amazing. The beach with your own cabana was great! The rooms where great and only thing my friends complained about was the low lighting in the bathroom, so bring your own lights for makeup or hair, lol. (We are in Tulum who cares about makeup and hair when at the beach). Worried about security, don’t be! They had security on the beach, the front of the hotel and in the parking lot. We loved it and will be back again!

Came with family for the beach (beach club use only) and the food was not good. The beach is beautiful and that was the highlight. The pool is great for children and there is a small playground which is located next to the restaurant. Family friendly. If I came back I would prefer to stay at the hotel and not eat there.

We had a great stay at La Zebra! The location is fantastic, very central to some of the best restaurants in Tulum and a great location right on the beach. The rooms are are spacious and have been updated. The staff is also amazing, incredibly accommodating and helpful with any issues or activities you would like to plan. Would definitely recommend.

This is our second visit at La Zebra! My husband and I came on October 2021. Then brought our two kids with us this past Thanksgiving 2022. Safety is our number one priority for our family. The hotel has a separation (a rope fence) between the lounge area and the beach area that prevented the annoying solicitation. Plus, a security guard that walked around just in case. We also enjoyed the food and service from the hotel hostess and Jaime. Jaime was constantly checking on us and making sure we were happy. He put a jug of water on ice to keep it cold for us. That was a kind gesture. The hotel has a kids playground as well. Right where the beach area and restaurant is. Such a plus and convenient. The beach area at the hotel was gorgeous and waves were tolerable. We'll be back! This is a great spot in Tulum.

We loved the hotel so much. Perfect location, peaceful, and first class service. The drinks and Mexican gourmet food were absolutely delicious. The entire staff where so welcoming, and made us feel as home. Our personal concierge Joss was absolutely superb, he took good care of us, helping us with restaurant recommendations and bookings, as well as a unique in-house Couples Spa treatment. Sweet mercy was this a dream spot or what. Wife and I got this beautiful beach front room with a heated plunge pool and everything! Beautiful view, beautiful beach experience. Absolutely amazing stay. We even got complimentary cocktails and other goodies! Thanks La Zebra! One thing I would recommend is avoid the restaurant. Eat somewhere else. I did not give this any lower of a rating because the hotel itself was phenomenal.

This was our second vacation at La Zebra, and everything was top notch as expected. We even had our same server at our beach cabana that we had last year, BETO! He remembered us and treated us like royalty the entire week. The entire staff is so friendly and really cater to all your needs. The food and drinks here are amazing. The beach is beautiful and they rake constantly if there is seaweed. The rooms and balconies are very large with incredible sea views. I can’t say enough great things about this lovely resort!

Beautiful property, great location and beach access. The room was comfortable, beautiful and super clean. The AC was blowing right on my face when sleeping in bed, I wish the bed wasn’t face directly to AC. Fantastic staff and great restaurant.

I had a great time here! My waiters were Michel and Alexis; They provided great friendly service during our dinner. The food was impeccable and the drinks were perfect! I had the rack of lamb, banana cheesecake pudding and a lemon drop. The atmosphere was club-like, tasteful yet exciting, with great loud music and an interactive sparkler experience. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Tulum!

I visited RosaNegra at the suggestion of my resort and absolutely LOVED my experience. The staff (Patricio and Eduardo) were amazing...super friendly and kind. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat. The music was great and made me wanna hang around. The food and cocktails were also amazing both in presentation and taste. I would definitely come back!

There’s no doubt that this place, located in a 1-2 mile long bumpy road in the jungle and surrounded by bars, restaurants, and clubs, caters to the party scene. Right away they push you to buy alcohol, asking for what drink you’ll have even after saying “pineapple juice.” The pineapple juice is what they use to make their cocktails, it is NOT fresh, it’s from the can. We came in on a Sunday night and you are met by loud club music; if this is your kind of vibe then you are in the right place. If you are celebrating a birthday and want to make it memorable, then this is the place for you and your party group. The ambience and lighting is really nice. Everywhere you look, there are large groups of people celebrating with sparklers and a few others dancing on tables. They celebrate your birthday with a nice chocolate roll pound cake. Drinks are moderately strong, I believe you’ll need at least 2 to get a nice buzz going. Be prepared to spend!

I went to Tulum last year and I am way late reviewing this place but better late than never. =) I researched restaurants with a great party vibe on Instagram and google before arriving at Tulum and this place was on my radar. I made reservations before leaving as I had heard from others that this place gets too packed and it's better to make reservations. We had made a reservation for 9:45pm and due to heavy traffic down that street we didn't get there on time. At arrival the hostess said we had missed our reservation by over 20 minutes and they had no place for us anymore. We were bummed as we were looking forward to it all week. As we were about to leave our friend who is such a sweet talker, talked to the hostess and after five minutes of going back and forth with her she said she could find a table for us and she sat us down. It was such a fun vibe. We went on a Friday night and everyone was dancing on top of the chairs and tables (including us). There was an aerialist show which was amazing! We ordered the Tomahawk steak and shared it between three people and it was delicious. Good food, good drinks, and great vibes. Definitely worth going here. Just make reservations ahead of time if you don't want to be turned away.

I think this is the most alive place to be on the strip. I love the vibe and everything about it! You won't miss it because the music so loud. I really love how even you get yourself a cocktail, they make you feel so special by flashing the light and dance around you. Music is really good and I definitely will come back! As for the food, I would say is so so.. nothing special but is good to munch on with alcohol!

I love the vibe here, but there is NO AC at the restaurant! In this summer heat- it can be brutal! They make up For it by having a live DJ and it’s literally like a club in there. Service is good and food is decent. Also- make sure to visit the bathroom. It has AC AND A BAR! Lol

Came to RosaNegra as a group of 5 girls celebrating a bachelorette and RosaNegra did not disappoint at all! The food was so tasty as well as the cocktails. Abigail was our server and she took great care of us! So attentive and helpful even at the end of the night she helped us get a taxi home. The sparklers were such a cool touch to the meal and we got to finish the night dancing away on a table top. SO MUCH FUN!!

One of the best classic spots in Tulum. Super cheap. We love the mix Ceviche, the pico de galo with chips and the breaded shrimp tacos. To get the shrimp make sure you go before 4 pm. It’s cash only as well.

A long queue of locals caught our eye and boy, were we lucky. The best food we had in Yucatán so far. Ceviche de camarón was exquisite and the fish fresh. Not to mention that we were finally served some proper bean sauce, not the canned version like in hotels and some other places.

came back here again after 8yrs. It’s few things same as before in Tulum. the complement tortilla chips and beans were sooo goood. OMG the beans, so good. It’s huge too. Can’t believe they gave us that many for two people. We tried octopus ceviche, cocktail shrimp and fish dish and all of they were very good. Not only the taste is good, but price is very good too. It’s interesting because back to 8yrs ago, I felt it was expensive (I was a long term traveler back then), but now it’s one of most affordable mexican food place in Tulum. Tulum has changed so much, but not here. It’s sometimes very busy and you may expect lines. However their service is quite fast.

Best seafood I’ve had in any part of Mexico I’ve visited. The ceviche was so good! And generous positions. The garlic shrimp was very tasty and buttery with a side of rice and spicy beans. Excellent octopus tacos al guajillo and breaded shrimp tacos. Great service and attentive. Good open spaces to eat. The warm fish sauce dip that came with the chips was incredible. Highly recommend this place.

Roadside restaurant on the quieter end of the main Tulum drag. Friendly staff. Menu includes meats and seafood served with a side of rice. We really liked the nachos alongside a black bean dip they serve when seated.

Best seafood spot I went to in Tulum! So fresh and tasty. My favorite was the soup but we honestly loved everything. Even the dip for the chips was so yummy

My wife and I absolutely loved staying at Mezzanine in Tulum. The unique and beautiful boutique hotel rooms were great, but the ocean view was incredible. Their restaurant was excellent (we recommend the Pad Thai). The service was exceptional. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying our stay, especially the concierge, Abdul. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. We highly recommend Mezzanine if you’re looking for a relaxing stay in the beachy jungle of Tulum!

We were seated inside of the restaurant first and ignored for about 20 minutes but I think the staff were just busy setting up the outside after a storm. I requested to be moved to the terrace because the reservation i made was to sit at the terrace. Once we settled down on the terrace we had breathtaking ocean view. The view was totally worth it and the food was simply amazing! Meals were As good as Thai food in Thailand. The cocktail was strong and delicious. Overall it was a great dining experience. Follow up review: We came back on our last night in Tulum and I’m so happy that Mezzanine cares about their customers to come to tell us that our car was being towed by the police. Not only they liaised with the police in Spanish so they let us have our car back without a fine and we just have to pay off the tow company! Saved us huge trouble we would’ve have been able to leave Mexico tomorrow if they hadn’t come find us. Really grateful to the restaurant staff for helping us out! Went 2 years ago and had an absolutely wonderful time staying there. We tried to book again this year but it didn’t have availability so we had no choice but to stay elsewhere. We decided to go for breakfast just to check it out again and we were flooded with amazing memories and reaffirmed why we loved that hotel so much. The service is top notch, food is amazing, scenery is just as great, and the staff are so friendly and polite. And it’s right by the public beach so you can take a nice walk/swim after your meal. What’s not to love? So if you can’t book a room, at least check out the restaurant and the beach.

Incredible. Stayed here for our 16th anniversary (and my first trip to Mexico), and start (booking) to finish (checking out), everything was perfect. It was especially meaningful to experience outstanding service after living through post-COVID America, in which I feel like people are doing me a huge favor by providing me goods and services in exchange for my hard-earned money. First trip without the kids was amazing, but they don’t make a big deal out of it. There were plenty of kids in the restaurant, and it was fine. Speaking of which, food was great, although we didn’t travel to Mexico to eat Thai food, it was actually really good, plus they had tacos and good Mexican/etc breakfast. Our room was also incredible - the Master Suite was private, well appointed, and had great views of the beach and tons of crazy sea birds. Finally, the main guy (not fair to limit him to the word concierge), Abdel, was truly a special host: genuinely caring, kind, and attentive without being overbearing. Look, I’m a tough critic — stop searching and go ahead and book it!

I’m writing a review before we leave. We just checked in and this is one of the best experiences me and my wife have had during any of our travels. From the customer service to the food. I wish I can give this more stars. Hats off to the chef and front desk. We will surely return. Thank you all for the love!

What can I say about this place! An absolute gem of a place from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave you are treated like family. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves and feeling cozy in the beautiful rooms. Everything about this place is paradise. The food is beyond incredible and fresh, the service is nothing but exceptional. We will miss Andy, Luis, Fili and all the other staff that made our stay so memorable and special from the reception staff to the house cleaners who greeted us with fresh tea and chocolates every evening. Thank you for an incredible time. Best food you will try and the best views we could have asked for. We hope to come back soon

This was probably my best ever hotel experience. The rooms with ocean view here are absolutely incredible, the proximity to the beach is amazing, the outdoor guest-only spaces are gorgeous. I really appreciated the spaces reserved for guests, as there is a lot of traffic for folks visiting the restaurant and those private areas are perfect for reading a book and laying out without being around a ton of people coming in and out. This place is quiet and peaceful, no obnoxious club music, really good for resting and connecting with the ocean. The hotel staff are the most attentive, lovely people, they really go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, welcome, and familiar. I also loved that there is no plastic used at the hotel. I stayed several other places while in Tulum and this was far and above my absolute favorite, I will stay again next time I’m in town :)

At Mezzanine, everything is just beyond perfection, the place, the food, the views, the security and what about the staff? Well they make me feel like I was at home. Thank you a lot for the support, oh and the Mayan Clay massage is just wonderful. Super highly recommend place for your visit at Tulum. A 100% must visit!!

We booked our stay at Mezzanine months in advance and the night before our arrival the hotel called to say the hotel is closed and that we need to find a new place to stay. They did not help with finding a new place. The hotel is located in the National park so police were blocking the area.

We are in the middle of our stay here and absolutely in love with the Mezzanine. Finally ate supper here this evening, it was impeccable. The Thai food is great (some of the best we have had) but service is even better. Pictured is our dessert that we had brought up to our room- it was delicious! We are not ones to ask for anything special but we feel very on pampered here. Every single person we have come in contact here has been amazing. The room is exactly as pictured. The nightly tea has been a huge highlight of mine. The views of the ocean are great. I only wish I had more pesos to tip every person here, I cannot express enough of how great everyone is! I highly recommend!!

Stayed with my husband at the Mezzanine Hotel Tulum in the master suite for 4 nights. The location of the hotel in the National park made for a quiet & serene stay. The hotel is also close to the Mayan ruins. Getting into the National park takes a little doing, you will need to secure wristbands at the front gate for entry. Also there is only one road in and out which is currently under construction. Everything at the hotel was outstanding! The hotel accommodations & room with private terrace & pool were gorgeous, the service was top-notch, and the drinks & food were delicious. We also indulged in the spa services; the massage and clay mask were set up by the beach and listening to the sounds of the ocean made it a completely relaxing experience. Many praises to David, the concierge. Everything we requested, he immediately responded . Done! And it was taken care of in minutes. We also visited this boutique hotel chain’s other locations: Mi Amour and La Zebra. Would definitely recommend staying at any of these locations and we will certainly be back for another relaxing getaway!!

Can’t comment on the food as we only had the guac, but the live music here was great!! We came to watch the sunset and it was very busy but we managed to find space at the rooftop bar. The waiters were very attentive and the cocktails good! They have happy hour 2-4-1 until 7pm

Completely underwhelming. I paid more for a shrimp burrito than I did for my rental car and it is as bland as can be. I'm currently forcing myself to finish it. I was told by the waiter that their "best fish tacos in the world" are basically the same as the burrito, just with fish. Could have gotten a LOT better in town for less than five bucks I'm pretty sure that adding a few spices to your food for flavour is not something that is going to break the bank. And have you ever considered that the zone is so expensive because businesses like yours contribute to making it that way? I don't mind paying a bit more sometimes if the service is actually worth it. In this case it was not at all, and that applies to most of my experiences in the Yucatan peninsula.

My wife and I loved the food here!! The fish tacos are amazing!! They have fresh coconut water as well. Our waiter Fausto was awesome!! He explained the menu very well in English which helped a lot.

Good food, great service. We got the taco and burrito and it was delicious. Compare to the rest of the Tulum Hotel Zone, the prices were very cheap. It is a perfect place to go and grab a food. Very chill place. Of all the restaurants in the Zone, we always saw many people in the restaurant. I think both from quality and price this is a very good option.

We were looking for a place to watch the NBA finals. Glad we came across Mateos! We had the wings as an appetizer which we’re Amazing. We also ordered the Mex-Tex burgers, one of the best burgers I’ve had. Both non-alcoholic drinks and alcoholic drinks were delicious. Service was great as well. I highly recommend taking time to come to this place.

We got ripped off by their tour sales booth operating on sight, a representative called Omar We bought tickets for Xe Ha park including transportation back & forth At the end of the day we called them to pick us up and we’re told to take a taxi back, which we did. It took one hour to find one, and we are a family with four little girl, including two babies. When we asked to be refunded for the taxi, not asking for anything else we got various stories as to “come back later”, “we will have the money later”, “the price for the taxi is too high” etc… the taxi was 950 MXP So we suggest all of you to stay away from that place at all costs. PS, after discussing this with another one of their employees we understood that’s not the first time this happens. So simply take your business elsewhere.

Great place! Food was delicious and the prices are not to bad. We also had a drink in a sunset lounge and it was lovely. They don’t have many vegetarian options in the menu but they easily made for us vegetarian tacos/ burrito :)

We had dinner at Mateos and enjoyed it a lot. The Tacos were excellent and sufficient for the two of us. The staff was kind and attentive. Prices are a touch below other locations and absolutely reasonable (from our point of view). We recommend to give it a try.

delicious fish tacos!!!!! my boyfriend said top 3 best fish tacos he’s ever tried in his life. passion fruit margarita was so yummy and refreshing. black beans and rice. authentic mexican food with great and fast service. good ambience, clean bathrooms.
