What a great out door adventure, amusement, activity! This museum will definitely have you engaged for hours and hours. Definitely visit hours before closing unless you're just going to the gift shop. The animals, the design the knowledge available and gain will be forever treasured! I had a blast with my family. Honestly the apprehension made it the adventure very suspenseful and rewarding! I think tour guides should be available for this type of museum. It will definitely take the adventure from Great to Extraordinary!!!!

Wow! What a great place to visit! I highly recommend it! Loved the experience learning about the desert life! The facility is very well maintained! They have both indoor and outdoor experiences. The outdoor trek around the desert is a unique experience. It's an opportunity to view so many different cacti! Who knew some are hairy? They have plenty of hydration stations around the walkway, which was really needed! A return to the air-conditioning was much appreciated. Inside there are a variety of exhibits from sea life to desert life. There is a very nice gift shop and a small venue for drinks and ice cream. Everyone was extremely helpful! Parking was surface parking and it was Hot!!

This place is special. I love Botanic Gardens, but to have all the desert plants and flowers makes it unique and fascinating. It is also a great walk through the desert with a gorgeous view. I love the MINERAL EXHIBIT and the aquarium exhibit. The minerals are in a cave exhibit which looks like the real thing. SO COOL. The Hummingbird Aviary was dreamy. There is SO much to see and do. You could probably see the highlights in an hour or two. But I could spend days just getting lost in this wonderful place. Definitely remember how HOT it is. Many people were complaining already. Just remember, it's the desert. ;) And, keep your paper map! Your phone probably won't have service either. So good to know if you want to split up. And you can see a lot but don't have to do the loop through the desert unless you want to; especially if you have young kids or are concerned about the heat. It's a nice walk but you see mostly the same things near the entrance. Even the Gift Shop was amazing. I am not much of a shopper, but this was full of gorgeous pottery and minerals and books and Prickly Pear Taffy! The snack bar there has delicious drinks too! I loved the AGAVE LIMEADE! And the Prickly Pear Lemonade was delicious. The staff and all of the volunteers were wonderful people. The whole experience was good for my Soul. Thank you so much!

This Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum was super cool because they had great educational sections for kids and adults to learn about the desert landscape while providing a great outdoor experience walking around. I will advise, it gets extremely hot so bring lots of cold water. Luckily the bathrooms had sunscreen which helps quite a bit. The whole museum is outside technically and it comprises of a variety of sections to explore with lots of desert plans, animals, caves to explore and things to see. The staff is super friendly and the gift shop has quite a collection. The whole desert walking experience is ADA friendly.

I went for the plants and there were a lot in bloom.Would have been nice if the animals were more visible. Need to be very patient to see any birds. We went at 8:30 am, which was nice,cause it got hotter more crowded and noisier by 10 am. Great gift shops. Loved the geology exhibit with the rocks and minerals.

Great time with the kiddos and beautiful spot. We hadn't been here in about 20 years, and it was definitely worth it. The stingray exhibition, which does cost extra both for entry and for feeding, was amazing for the kids. Very educational, very fun, definitely wet. The pack rat playhouse was an amazing place for kids! It's inside, air conditioned, and has a lot of play activities for the kids, there's even picnic tables for the adults. Overall great time!

Wow! What a beautiful park. We got the membership because we’ll definitely be going back. I recommend going early to avoid the heat and take a few extra dollars to keep cool for a bit with your arms in the stingray pool! Plus, you might get lucky, if you look too hot the little buggers might just splash you! Bring a bottle for water, there are several bottle refill fountains and those are all located on the free map at the entrance. There are signs about the rattlesnakes and they mean it. Remember they share the wild places with us, not the other way around. Watch your step and keep your distance. We came in April and the gardens were beautiful and had many flowering cacti and succulents! The pollinators were working hard and this is the place to see them! The gift shop is great, a little expensive, but you know, gift shops always are. Overall, a great experience!

Great. Bring a water bottle...they have fresh and cold, free water refill stations throughout. A bit hot for some of the animals to be active but we found most of them. The sky, the view the interesting facts...incredible. beautiful representation of the desert. Glad to have bought a membership because it's not possible to see everything in a day.

If you're a local then you definitely know about this place. If you're from out of town or a visitor then you wanna see this place. We'll worth it. Be prepared to spend at least 3-4 hours checking this place out. But also be prepared for the heat and the weather. Take water, hat and sunscreen. Some people can walk around the grounds. But you can also take the tram. We took the tram and saved the walking. The tram is roughly 45 minutes. But has a lot of information about the jets, planes and other machinery that is also there. Definitely worth the visit. Side note: the food at the snack bar is decent. Don't expect restaurant style food it's a snack bar. Quick food, soft drinks, water and a cool place to sit and relax out of the heat. Enjoy.

Been going here for over 25 years. This place is history. If your into aircraft you have to visit. Make sure you visit all the hangers. And have your phone battery fully charged, you will be taking lots of photos. And have lunch at their cafeteria, it has evolved over the years from a little tin shack to today's modern layout. The burgers are terrific, with kid food available. Standard Covid rules apply. Stop by today!

This is an amazing museum, there is so much variety in the aircraft on display, really great. I have a preference for fairly modern fighter jets and large helicopters and included some photos of my favorites. There is so much to see, it feels a bit overwhelming, but in a good way! I enjoyed the tour of the outside areas via guided group tour, but I still walked around myself a bit to see some closely. I was lucky to hear a personal account from a WWII veteran which was really memorable and neat, he seemed to have his speech very well practiced. The replica plane he was sitting by was also really cool.

A very large section of Airplanes from the WW 2 time period. Anyone who is interested in the air force of the USA will enjoy their time at this Museum. I went to tour the Pima facility and was very impressed with the layout. Lots of great information posted everywhere about all the different models of Airplanes and Jets. This is a must see Museum for everyone at least once in your lifetime. I was planning a one day trip but ended up getting a 2 day pass. I totally enjoyed the time. Check them out sometime soon.

What a wonderful air and space museum! This museum truly has a plethora of aircraft types and they all look great! The tram ride is truly worth it because the conductor makes frequent stops and shows highlights of the planes in the yard. My favorites were the helicopters and the GUPPY! INSIDE the museum buildings are organized displays of aircraft from different eras. Every building is absolutely immaculate and has great signage. Multiple restrooms abound, too , so you don't have to worry about that. The gift shop has some sweet merchandise, both for kids and adults. This museum is massive and worth going multiple times. They are working on a new military transportation area, so that will be good to see next time.

Growing up a Army brat then serving has given me an even greater admiration for our Armed services. Being a massive fan of science and all things aerospace, taking my children to this museum was fantastic. The rich history from 1st US motorized flight, female astronauts, to some of my favorite models I built as a kid in real life size. I feel that the experience is magnified when you are there with your children or grandchildren and could tell them about your own personal experiences with the A10, or the time I was on a sub. We may have gone on our own and enjoyed it very much, I can't imagine what a guided tour would have been like, but I would recommend a trip to this museum 😀 🛸🛫🚢 Plenty of parking, super clean restrooms, indoor and outdoor attractions.

Amazing collection of historical aircraft. I have driven by the museum multiple times and finally had the opportunity to stop. I have been to many air and space museums worldwide wide, the Pima Air and Space Museum is definitely one of the best collections I have had the privilege to visit. This museum showcases aircraft and memorabilia from all areas and time frames of air and space history. The displays and representative aircraft are well maintained and organized in such a way to enhance the experience of your visit. I will definitely return and recommend this museum. I believe you could spend multiple days in this museum and still not see everything it has to offer. It was a great experience.

FUN & EDUCATIONAL! GREAT WORKOUT! This place is massive! I was told there is a combined 80 acres of indoor and outdoor space dedicated to aircrafts and more. You see everything from helicopters, jets, single prop planes, medical transports, presidential planes, cargo planes, old military jeeps, memorabilia, insignia and tons more. There is a restaurant on site, plenty of opportunities for the restroom, tons of free water fountains scattered about, and even more seating in the form of benches, chairs, and picnic tables. I get the feeling the staff understand the amount of energy and time it takes to ingest all the information and view all the sites this museum has to offer. PRICE: The $18 charge (circa early 2022) came to be well worth it. I was there for over 3 hours and know I could have been there much longer if I was to read all the rhetoric available. FYI: They close early in the summer. My guess, it is way too hot and they probably have too many people experiencing heat stroke. SUGGESTIONS: (1) Arrive early (2) purchase the tram if you can afford it (3) save the entrance Hanger 1 for last because it is the last to close (4) come hydrated (5) Skip your gym routine the day of (6) Wear comfortable shoes (7) wear layered clothing as you will be indoor and outdoor and find yourself getting hot and cold. *Check out the map in my images

Great place to take the kids of all ages if you love anything to do with aviation! There are dozens and dozens of different types of planes and helicopters within the bounds of this museum. There is an inside museum that could take you all day if you wished, there is an air park to walk around in outside and they give guided tours to the bone yard across the street in a comfortable air conditioned bus with a great tour! Definitely worth the trip to keep these types of local museums alive!

I can't speak highly enough about this place. It's on the pricier side, around 20 bucks a person, but it's simply stunning. Countless incredible aircraft with stories and information; I could spend days here. The trolley tour is WORTH THE 8 BUCKS. The tour guides know their stuff and you learn a ton of stuff you would never guess. It really is just a quality establishment.

Great facility with a great collection of planes. They have multiple buildings with planes inside along with a vast amount of planes outside. There are a lot of unique planes to see. Give yourself ample time to tour the whole facility, at least 3-4 hours.

Pros: huge, lots of planes, rare planes, nice gift shop, decent restaurant, excellent museum even if you aren't an aviation geek Cons: space section is smaller than I thought it would be. If you like airplanes they have the airplanes. I'm more of a space person, and even I really enjoyed the rest of the museum. They have a small section dedicated to space flight where you can see one of the Gemini capsules and a mock Mars rover. Outside they have one of the Super Guppies that used to carry oversized bits for NASA such as a complete 3rd stage of a Saturn V rocket--hard to believe one of these behemoths is still in use today! They have various types of engines on display, airplanes through the ages, record setting aircraft (like the tiniest ever successfully flown), a wedding dress made out of a parachute (yes, it was actually used), some unusual Japanese planes. Just A LOT of really interesting stuff, not all of which are planes. Plan to spent an entire day here, which probably means taking a break to eat at the Flight Grill (the food actually does taste good, its just expensive--you're paying for convenience).

What an amazing experience! I had the privilege of going through the museum with a retired aviation mechanic from the Chilean Air Force and he has spent his life in aviation and the stories he could tell of the experiences he had had with many of these aircraft types was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing these historic aircraft and learning more about them.

Always a lovely place to take a morning or evening walk. Lots of nature. Photo opportunities of the flora & fauna are abounding. Take the tram and get off at various points to explore. Nice place to learn about the desert southwest.

Sabino Canyon is a hikers paradise offering trails at every level. For the less athletic, a bus service is a great alternative that hikers can jump on and off during the one hour tour of the canyon. The canyon bus is windowless (weather permitting) and allows for amazing views of this incredible natural scenery. This is definitely a “don’t miss” visit just an hour from Central Tucson. Do it!

Absolutely beautiful park. It was crowded due to New Years Day visitors. However, there are enough trails and space for everyone to e joy their little slice of heaven. My partner and I enjoyed every moment of our 1.75-mile hike in the canyons. The experience was unforgettable, and we would definitely come back here to explore the other trails and walk further up the mountain next trip to Tucson. Parts of the hike were steep, and several areas were not well marked, but my partner is a good navigator, so we were able to find our way around. The wash was beautiful, and there were children playing in the water, which was a lovely sound.

Just WOW!! What an incredible experience ... such a beautiful place!! Took the tram ride into the canyon @ $15/person, then walked back (less than 3 miles back). Seats on the OUTSIDE of tram provides the best visual. Great water flowing down from canyon and over a few of the bridges. So beautiful!! Can't wait to go again next year!! Beautiful desert flowers in the spring!!

We were being spontaneous when we headed for Sabino Canyon, and so we didn't know about the requirement of buying shuttle tickets ahead, but we enjoyed a hike that one of the rangers directed us to take that was right from the visitor's center parking lot. We saw a beautiful rock dam waterfall and lots of desert terrain. We hope to go back when we can actually go into the canyon.

Did a very quick afternoon visit to the dam area to check out the water flow from the monsoons. The trail is pretty easy and a wonderful place to wander around for beautiful desert vistas (still quite hot though so be prepared!!). Thrilled with how green the desert looks after all the rain. The views of the mountains were stunning in the afternoon light and some of the cacti are flowering. The pops of color are always such a treat!

Trail#27 Telephone Line. We started hiking at 0700 on March 12, 2023. The weather was perfect and the trail was not busy. Flowers are just starting to bloom and the view was beautiful. We walked back on the pavement and crossed about 9-10 over flowing bridges. Total distance was about 10 miles.

Sabino Canyon is a must stop! We took the tram up to the top. They don't stop on the way up. They stop at the last stop, and you have about 5 minutes to take pictures. You can get back on the tram or walk down. You can get on the tram at any stop on the way down if they have room. They have multiple restrooms, and you can fill your water, but not at many stops, so plan accordingly! We walked back, which was over 3 miles. Stop 8 was our favorite. There's lots of flat rocks and water to dip your feet in. It is a perfect place to rest and have a snack. The views are so beautiful. We also stopped at the information desk before we left, and they were very helpful with information about Mt Lemmon. Steve helped us and gave the best advice. Highly recommend!

We stopped hereon our cross country drive. It was absolutely beautiful and the people we so kind! There are locals making fresh food on the ground and the architecture is breathtaking! Highly recommended stop.

Beautiful! We were not able to go inside due to a service that was being held. However, we heard the music and enjoyed it. The gift shop has some nice items and fair prices. The locals set up and made delicious fry bread.

An active parish and important historical place. Beautiful and engaging. Moderately maintained by volunteer contributions. Moving, inspiring and historically significant. Quiet enough to spend time in prayer and reflection. A special chapel for remembering the dead, sick and beloved.

I was married in a church that resembles a flying saucer. It’s a one-of-kind architectural marvel in Illinois. On a drive south to north through Tucson, I was urged to stop just off of Interstate 19 and visit the oldest European structure in Arizona. My destination was 1950 W. San Xavier Rd., Tucson. This is where at the end of W. San Xavier Rd., I would see what is nicknamed “The White Dove of the Desert.” A huge white stucco Spanish Mission church awaits a visit from one of 200,000 visitors every year. The mission easily accommodates visitors because it’s open to the public everyday from 9 am to 4 pm. I came on a Saturday for services and after sitting for about 20 minutes on a fantastic wooden pew, I realized I’d have to wait another 30 minutes for mass, so I got up and left slowly. But before I left, I looked at what my son’s friends talked about when they saw this mission. There’s good reason San Xavier del Bac is a National Historic Landmark and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Walking into this mission is like going back in the time of the American frontier.

What a beautiful spectacle, placed in the middle of a spectacular setting, where history rests in and outside of this structural sanctuary. I attended the Easter Sunday Mass as my third visit here. There was a packed house and had people standing outside the doors to attend the ceremonial celebration of the resurrection of our Christ Jesus. I watched as a observer in the very intimate partaking of the sacrament. I am not Catholic so I didn't participate; however everyone was super welcoming and very humble in their ceremonial communion. I apologize if I am not utilizing the proper terms for any of this description, I mean no disrespect. I felt honored to be there, the warm embrace of the Lord was definitely present that day. This place is unlike anything you have ever seen, it is definitely worth seeing!

We visited this mission on a Sunday a week ago before the 10 am mass. We read that we cannot “tour” the inside of the mission during mass. It’s a beautiful church and worth the visit. There was a hill next to the mission that had a spectacular view of the mission and the valley. There were vendors outside the church selling food and drinks.

If you're in the state you need to visit. Such a peaceful place. Amazing how much of a visit into the past that it is. Worthwhile stop for anyone, whether Catholic or not. Cool history, too! Friendliest roadrunner I've ever met was there, too! He came right up to me and stood on a log right beside me for several minutes looking me over and chirping.

Love that you are just a little over an hour away, perfect 1 day getaway. We stopped and played in the snow and had a ride on the ski lifts. More snow was expected for today, so thinking they will be open for skiers this weekend. We also enjoy stopping in Summerhaven for a snack before heading down the mountain. The views are beautiful.

Picturesque Old West Americana at its finest! This was an incredible place to visit, and has an enriching topography that compels one to truly stand in awe of nature. Breathtaking and beautiful, this was a trip much enjoyed and a must if you’re in the Tucson area. Highly recommended!

Great view and nice road to drive to the peak. We will have to walk 2-3 miles from the peak parking lot. It will be colder and windy that you will expect. Bring some jackets and blankets with you. You will see the whole town with downview and the clouds will be upon your arms.

You cross about 5 different eco-regions on this drive, not to mention some fantastic views of the Tucson valley. You go from arid desert to subalpine up at the ski valley, and it's amazing as you cross the regions driving this byway. The Arizona trail crosses in this area as well and there are tons of day use, hiking trails, and camping areas here as well.

Mount Lemmon is a must visit if you’re in the Tucson area. It’s a dramatically different landscape and scenery than what’s found in Tucson. The further you go up Mount Lemmon there are lots of trees, mountains, as well as a place to ski. It is a great place to visit if you enjoy bike riding, but it’s a very steep climb. There are numerous places to pull over to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. I highly recommend visit in Mount Lemmon.

Very Majestic Mountain! Beautiful drive and very scenic! I went multiple time. Try the Ski ride while you up there and don’t miss out breakfast in Iron Door. They open breakfast at 9am on Saturdays and Sundays.

It's definitely worth the trip up the mountain. Lots to see. Highly recommend. I had to walk up from the ski area since the road was closed to traffic. Once at the top, there are a few sets of radio towers. I recommend heading up to the upper one. There is a rock outcrop behind it with a spectacular view of the valley below.

The food was so delicious and authentic. So much flavor & perfectly made. I only gave 4 stars because customer service was slow and not very energetic. Our waiter took awhile to remove dishes that we were done with & took awhile to refill waters & bring check. Other than that, quite amazing! This place is extremely busy so I highly recommend making reservations!

5/5 for ambiance. This place looks great and there is plenty of (metered) parking out front. 3/5 for value. Expect a minimum of $20 per person for dinner. 3/5 for service. It was a bit busy when we came but it took 23 minutes from finishing our meal to finally get the bill signed. 3.5/5 for taste. This food was fine/average but not great. Overall 3.5/5; you could do better.

Sometimes when the restaurant says they've been around for a long time, you hope it's because the food is just so good that people just keep coming in there for Generations. This is that type of restaurant. Customer service was honestly some of the best I've seen in my life. Even when super busy our server always found time to make sure we were taken care of. Our food was Unreal and Portion sizes were awesome. Everything was reasonably priced for what we got and can I say enough good things about just how great the food was. All local flavors to the area that will fit almost any pallet. Price is mid range or just be aware but honestly a great hangout spot for a date business occasion or just want to sit out and eat a good meal. Street parking and paid lot parking nearby if need. Overall one of my favorite restaurants I had the opportunity to go to while visiting the Tucson area. All the food was good, you honestly can't go wrong with a single meal choice.

We were looking to try a local restaurant for our first trip to Tucson and this hit the spot. It was President's Day so they were busy. Originally we were told a 45 min to hour wait and they weren't taking names on a list. We were actually seated in 30 minutes and no one got ahead of us who arrived later. The salsa with the chips was very spicy and we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of cilantro used. Definitely a different taste than we were used to in St. Louis, Missouri. The margaritas were a great treat also. They were celebrating their 100th birthday and we could tell why they have been in business that long.

Excellent food with recipes I've never enjoyed before. The server was very friendly and helpful with explaining what some of the menu items were. Unfortunately I cannot give it 5 stars because half-way through eating, we sat and watched a cockroach walk up the wall and down around the edge of the table before disappearing. I would truly question how sanitary the kitchen is... I will not return.

This is among the most over-hyped restaurants I’ve ever been to. We arrived-admittedly without a reservation-and were told it would be a 45 minute wait. While we waited, I eventually found a bar where I could get a drink while I waited. I only found out about this from other reviews, as there were no signs explaining this. We waited over 45 minutes, and then were told it’d be 20 more. It was an hour longer. The host stand staff were terrible. Very rude, unapologetic, and refused to take responsibility for lying to us. Once we were seated, our service was fine. We were seated in the basement. This place is a maze of cramped seating areas. The basement smelled weird. The menu has decent variety and the prices aren’t a ripoff. The food was not very good. We got an enchilada sampler and the carne seca plate. I’ve had carne seca elsewhere which was much better. The enchiladas were reportedly mediocre. Most disappointing was the cheese crisp. Just look at my picture of it, blah! The drinks we got were fine.

After a day sightseeing at Old Tucson and the Desert Museum we needed food fuel! Googled best food near me. El Charro came up!! So happy with our choice to stop and eat there with our family! My husband and I loved everything about the food and atmosphere! Our kids stepped out of their comfort zones and tried new foods and were happy too. My in laws enjoyed their meals as well. Definitely recommend 🫔🌮

This place has only gotten better with age! Love the ambience and atmosphere of this charming building, built in 1896. My mom grew up near El Charro and it was nice to take her on a lunch date and listen to her reminisce of her memories at this amazing restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic!

I have been to the Oro Valley location but this was my first time at the Downtown location. Absolutely loved it and would recommend for a quick snack or a full meal! They were busy but there wasn't a wait and we received our drinks and guacamole quickly.

A line of customers for El Charro in Tucson from the entrance at 311 N. Court Ave. and down the block was no surprise on a late Saturday afternoon. As a customer of fine restaurants, I’ve found that people don’t mind waiting when they know the meal they’re waiting for will take them on a culinary taste journey. The restaurant known as El Charro is a place of such food wonders as Charlotte’s Chicken Mole and Sinaloa Shrimp Culichi. My little group of three arrived fairly early in the afternoon and before the line started forming. There were a few open tables available. Martha, a very good knowledgeable server greeted us. We felt really good because you can tell when service will make your experience all that much better and you can also tell early on when bad or unprofessional service will make your experience less than ideal. She answered our questions about food and drinks and did so in a pleasing way where you believed she enjoyed answering. Both my wife and son ordered the Prickly Pear Margarita. I sampled one of the drinks. Very good. I should have ordered one. El Charro has a menu with many food options I chose #2 Numero Dos for $16.95. This is the chicken tamale, chicken enchilada in tomatillo sauce and grilled chicken soft taco. My son ordered ALA Pork Tamale and Bandera Enchilada. Two plates were set before him and a bowl with rice. He let me have a taste of the enchilada and I enjoyed it. He wouldn’t give me a taste of his tamale though. The chicken tamale I ordered wasn’t going to be shared either. My wife ordered steak tacos and she gave me a small piece of the meat and I found it soft and flavorful. I would return to El Charro on a future visit to Tucson.

It's been 21 years since my last visit here. The food is just as delicious now as it was then. When you a tradition going back over 100 years, quality goes along with that. The Tamales are simply the best I've had. So, if you're in Tucson, stop in at the downtown location and enjoy great food and atmosphere.

The setting is stately with a nice view of distant mountains and the food is always first rate. What makes Vivace a stand out,however, are the wait staff. I defy you to find a lovelier bunch of folks from the greeting hostesses and charming bartender to the professional waiters. Jerry was ours and he could not have been more attentive, even somehow knowing my guest’s favorite dish despite having only served her once! His earnest, kind demeanor made even the high price of my cappuccino easier to swallow.

Another excellent find for Italian food !! We went there on a whim on a Sunday without a reservation ( 2 of us), they immediately found a table for us which happened to be by a large window overlooking a very nice courtyard. We absolutely loved our food & wine. The servings are very generous, so much that there was no room for dessert 😔. And the bread and pesto sauce they brought was also delicious. Jessica, our waitress, went out of her way to provide us with excellent service. Looking forward to visit again.

My wife and I were celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary. Our dinner was excellent and delicious. Kevan was our server. She was very attentive and professional. The rest of the staff was very helpful and polite. Highly recommended. And ask for Kevan for your server. You will not be disappointed.

We were greeted with smiles. They helped celebrate my son's birthday. Food was wonderful. It had great flavor & good portions. If you want to empress out of town guests, I recommend you make reservations at Vivace.

My best complements to the Chef and their team! Best eggplant lasagna I have ever had! And the house made sorbet (tangerine) was amazing! My husband really enjoyed his porkchop. The bartenders Jeff and Payton were so wonderful and they make the most beautiful cocktails I've ever seen. They even encouraged us to experience the view of the town from the patio of the restaurant while we waited for food to come out. The owner of the restaurant must be so proud. I am bringing the rest of my family and friends to experience Vivace this month. <3

Had a 2nd anniversary at Vivace and it was great. The food is so flavorful and simple at the same time. The view was amazing and they have such spacious seating. The waiter was so mindful and helped us make the right choice for everyone at the table. And we got a free 🍧 for our special day. Thank you.

Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Fast service. Awesome views of the city and mountains while you eat. Worth every penny because you know you’ll get authentic Italian and a great experience. Stuffed pork chop and pork parmigiana are a must try!

Very nice birthday brunch for my niece's husband. The views are amazingly gorgeous, and the food and cocktails were both so delicious and delightful! I had the crab dish that was very good. I've attached a photo.

I’ve been here at least a dozen times, but of course the one time that I decide to do a review, I have to take one star off because the steak wasn’t cooked exactly right 🤷‍♀️however, our waitress was such a delight. Her name is Kristen and she is absolutely the best! I also wasn’t paying much attention and I ate most of my meal before I took photos but we had the calamari to start, which was amazing, and the mussels which I’m not usually a fan of …but were really, really great! I had the salmon for my main course which was delicious and the New York steak and the steak sauce especially was fantastic. Donuts are to die for 🎉🎉🎉you have to get that for dessert!

I’ve been here a handful of times, however the service today was what made this experience so special. Nathan our waiter was on point the entire time, spot on with recommendations and making our dinner special. Food was delicious as well. Great atmosphere, even in high heat we sat outside and is how I will eat there going forward.

In addition to serving great tasting food the indoor dining area is quite classy. When first entering I mentioned to my wife this place looks a little swanky. But class and a casual dining experience really mix here. The food tasted great and the staff were professional, polite and very helpful. Both a nice indoor dining area and a beautiful outdoor dining area also. I expected big dollar prices but the food is priced very reasonably but the quality of the food and preparation is extraordinary!

A great place to dine for lunch or dinner. We've been here twice, once for dinner about 3 years ago and today for lunch. Both visits were a great dining experience. The food's great, the service has been great, and the atmosphere is also great. We've tried a few different things this time and last and everything turned out just how we had hoped. We sat outside but under a covered and heated area. Check it out!

The meal was very delicious, and the server was very friendly. I recommend making a reservation before going on Friday evening. The fried calamari I ate was great.

Went on an early Valentines date here! The staff was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend the market fish and the short rib ravioli! The cinnamon donut were also to die for and paired great with the cappuccino the sever recommend to me! One of our servers even took a photo of us together because he saw us taking selfies!

We went for a late lunch, the food was wonderful. I had the Black Mussels and a half Spinach Salad. Both were fresh and delicious. The salad was really lovely and I'm not a salad person. My mother had the Spinach Pappardelle, which she ate all of and enjoyed. My aunt had the Cold Smoked Salmon. It was fresh and enough for an entree with a side of Roasted Butternut Squash. I had the Blood Orange Paloma which was fine but not special. The only small disappointment food and drink wise. The service was faultless. Unfortunately we sat in a booth near the door, every time the door opened the cool breeze blew right down my neck! Also the acoustics are terrible especially for older people trying to have conversations. The music was overbearing instead of background music. Others have also mentioned this in their reviews!

4/20/23 Had an early dinner. Sat on the patio. Great weather and great service. Ordered the short rib ravioli, brussel sprouts, hummus, chicken with mashed potatoes and the chocolate bar desert. Hummus is probably the best I've ever had. The brussel sprout plate was more of an entree dish! Huge amount of them given. The chicken was good. The chocolate bars are decent for the price as well, but nothing to say wow about. My only problem was the sauce with the short rib ravioli. It needs more heavy cream, butter, fat, whatever to make it more rich. I'll go back again. After all of that and martini, bill came out to $105.

Such a beautiful restaurant. Love the classic, elegant, modern decor and the food is spectacular! My favorite dish is the Spinach Pappardelle, but the Pan Roasted Chicken is not far behind. My husband loves their Fish n' Chips.

Breakfast while staying at the Hacienda del Sol for 4 nights. Fruit plates can be a mystery when they are ordered. I was delighted with the array of fruit. Service was fine. And the view was incredible. A perfect start to the day!

We were fortunate enough to have Christmas Day meal here. The food was excellent. Everything we had was tastefully prepared. Drinks were good. Soup was excellent. Pork Belly delicious. Cioppino was out of this world. Overall a great experience. This is a first class restaurant and resort

Had dinner here and brunch here recently while on my honeymoon. We loved staying at the property but were disappointed with the grill. The view is beautiful and the waitstaff is nice. But considering the price of the food it was nice but not memorable. Was particularly disappointed with brunch. It wasn’t clear on their website that brunch is a Buffett. Considering Covid we were surprised at this and the fact that the Buffett area wasn’t that large and so given the amount of people it did feel crowded at times. Also the food was nice but again not memorable. My husband got eggs Benedict and the English muffin was so tough a steak knife wouldn’t cut it. We were shocked considering the price of the brunch. Overall nice atmosphere but we ate of other restaurants in town that had much better food.

Anniversary dinner with the wife. View of the mountains was pretty good. Oysters were delicious and fresh. Drinks were very heavy handed in the pour. Cesar salad decent 6/10. Lobster Alfredo want very tasty and not much lobster for the price 3/10. Braised beef short rib was pretty tender needed more seasoning 4/10. Crème brûlée was decent vanilla forward nice crisp on top 8/10. Lemon cheese cake was basic yet the sherbet was the star. Cheese cake 4/10 sherbet 9/10. Service was great. Interior could use some modern updating. For two people with drinks and tip it was almost $400. Many other places are better for less. Entire good experience 3/10.

Cup Café...makes me want a plate of gnocchi just thinking about this place! We had an absolutely delicious meal here, and I’m still singing the praises of the chef, for the mushroom duxelle on that stuffed-chicken dish. Our table also enjoyed the pork schnitzel and the desserts (coffee cake and coconut-cream pie). We were on the patio for an incredibly hot monsoon evening, and a staff member went out of his way to stop and move an umbrella closer to us, to avoid raindrops, and also to point the air-cooler in our direction (without our even wanting to ask, since he was busy and also juggling a stack of glasses). Our server was excellent too, tending the table at just the right pace, and everyone on the team made us feel invited to be there. The food is fantastic, as is the historic location, but it’s this kind of welcoming, attentive service that shines most of all and will keep us coming back time and again.

We went for breakfast and we're completely surprised by the upscale feel off the place. However, the atmosphere was causal and comfortable. The menu selection was great and worth several returns to try out everything. I loved the live music and patio seating.

Really interesting vibe in this place. Presentation of the food was awesome. Taste.. That's another story.. The best part was the Calamari and the Brownie.. The Tacos were underwhelming... If the flavors catch up to the presentation.. This place could be a hit.

The food here was great. The staff is so friendly and our server was amazing. The scenery is very nice and you have the option for outdoor or indoor. We also tried the limeade and horchata latte and both were very pleasant. I will try to come again in the next few weeks. If you want breakfast/lunch, this is a great place to go in the downtown area so don't miss out!!

such a cute vibe, vintage hotel w a lot of history. the outdoor set up is great, & even offer heaters for the cold nights. their menu is frequently updated alongside their classic staples. they usually have a good few vegan & plant-based options

Cup Cafe located inside/outside of hotel Congress had great service and atmosphere, but the food is the only drawback. We came during the weekend dinner menu. We tried the restaurant week meal with the Arroz Mar y Tierra, with the stuffed red bell pepper appetizer and the sangria for $45. Overall it's a good deal because you get an app, entree and an alcoholic beverage, but thats where the standouts end. The flavors worked together, but what we were served lacked seasonings and any standout robust flavors that really complimented each other. As one of the lighter options we tried was the steak salad, which was presented well. Its what you would expect for a Southwest style of salad and flavors meshed we'll. Steak was under seasoned, but was complimented well by the house dressing. The Steak Frites with the butter chimichurri was basically the same as the other dishes. The flank steak was well cooked, but lacked any profound flavors, the asparagus was seasoned well, but the French fries in the plate were the unfortunate standout. Overall, the steak could of been the Star, but the incomplete flavor profile of the Chimichurri brought the overall quality down. For one of the more normal dishes we ordered the simple burger meal to serve as a baseline. The meat was a little on the drier side, which made each bite feel like I needed to drink in order to stop myself from coughing. This is a burger meal ment for the picky eater which finds ketchup attractive for extra lubrication. Overall, we came as a group and managed to try a few of the different offerings, albeit the consensus was the same. The ambiance and service were great, but you don't come here for the food. You are paying a premium because of ambiance and the historical aspect of Tucson's Hotel Congress. The food itself is very hit or miss, I would recommend you come here for breakfast over their dinner offering.

I really like this spot. It’s been a mainstay over the years, but they shine at brunch at Bloody Mary at the weekends for sure. There’s a lot of things the Cup does I’ve never seen anywhere else, and their flavors are fantastic. Expect a wait if you haven’t called ahead on the weekend. You can order food to go and sit in the lobby (with your Bloody Mary) waiting if you find yourself stuck. Serious history in the building and effectively a 24hr something to do. Inside seating is nice, outside seating is spacious and is t too bad even in the summer. They have bar seating if you want to snag a quick meal. I’ve never been rushed to leave, and staff are friendly and consistently helpful. Depot Salad is amazing for a quick lunch. It there really isn’t anything bad on the menu!

My wife and I went to Cup Cafe for Valentine's Day. We were seated right away. We started out with a craft cocktail called Aphrodite. Excellent drink! The three course meal was amazing! Presentation was perfect. Wait staff was very attentive for a busy night. This was probably the best meal we've had in decades!

We found Cup Cafe after searching dog friendly patios and we were very happy that even on a relatively hot day we had plenty of shade for our Sunday brunch. There was a fairly long wait but we were able to wait outside in a shady area. We had a steak salad and cuban sandwich and everything was plentiful and delicious. We especially loved the service. Everyone was so friendly! Would definitely go back on our next trip through Tucson.
