Impressive Basilica with some amazing history. Would recommend reading about it before you go, so you know what you are seeing. I liked the fact that it was free to visit even though it is a UNESCO world heritage site.

I enjoyed visiting this Basilica. It has a lot of historical significance for being on El Camino, The pilgrimage path to the shrine of St James the Greater in Santiago de Compostela. It is a UNESCO world Heritage site. And the building was absolutely fabulous. Of course it's free to enter as are all Catholic Churches. Very much recommended!

Big and Beautiful basilica, with original and interesting exterior architecture. It has relics of more than 200 saints.

One of the most beautiful cathedrals I have ever seen. Absolutely worth it. I was fortunate to be there while there was a wedding and I could hear the church organ in full swing. Lovely experience.

Impressive church with a nice garden and open spaces around it. Visiting is free, and well worth 15 minutes of your time. The crypts in particular are something you don’t see in most churches.

Beautiful church, located on the site of a previous basilica of the 4th century. Constructed in Romanesque style in the 11th/12th centuries it's supposed to be the largest Romanesque building in Europe and it is an UNESCO World Heritage Site on the route to Santiago de Compostela. It is large, beautifully build and certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.

Toulouse is my favourite French city. The atmosphere, romance and love is definitely in the air. This particular cathedral is something out of medieval France where it takes you to another dimension. I sat there for a good hour after a day of walking and exploring the city meditating and it felt amazing. I am hoping to explore the city in the future and definitely will visit this place again.

If you love space, you will enjoy here. But be careful: - there are a loooot of kids everywhere, they scream, cut the waiting lines, run, disturbing your contemplation of the space immensity - the technical level is quite low, but it's fun to play some science games, everything is very interactive - unlike the museum, the garden is not even fun: in general it's a big playground for kids, and in particular the mir station has so many scretches on glasses that its almost impossible to watch inside, and the three accessible rooms terribly smell of fake

Science can not get more international than space travel. Naturally, you’d think that everything at this site would be available at least in 2 languages. Unfortunately, that’s not the case since quite a few places can only be visited during live shows that are French only. Also, multiple exhibitions are closed at the moment (Pollux & Castor, the MIR Capsule, Build your own rocket), the entry fee did not decrease nonetheless. Still, you can learn a lot and marvel at the features of human engineering, the IMAX is also really nice.

Nice concept, very bad implementation. Half of the attractions are not on cuz of Covid. Huge cues everywhere. You can buy water only at the cafeteria (we asked at the restaurant but they send us to the cafeteria) which has 5 people behind the counter but only one cashier working…waited 20min for a bottle of water. Maybe vending machines? With a bit of better organization it could be very nice. Definitely overpriced the way it is.

We visited here on Saturday and were really impressed! So, so much to see, and really interesting! The weather when we visited made our visit even more perfect whilst viewing the outside areas. We loved that you could go inside some of the exhibits, and also the interactive features inside the main building. We went to the on-site restaurant for lunch, which was beautiful and really well priced. Well worth a visit 😊

It's your getaway to space, the place isn't as big as I expected it to be but there are plenty of attractions for grown-ups and kids alike. I enjoyed the IMAX show, the planetarium was a bit boring, it was too slow for my liking. Reducing a star because of the exorbitantly high entry fee. If you understand French, there are activities for an entire day but otherwise there are some shows available in French and Spanish which can be finished in half a day.

Don’t even know how to describe this. The place is great of course with all manner of spacecraft and IMAX movies. However, a garbage man on a cart almost mowed down my 6-year old. Then he proceeded to laugh at him and my wife and then said several expletives in French and told her to go back home.

Great place, there were astronauts and scientists for free. And a very good place for children

This place is a celebration of space travel and exploration, and it is a museum that offers an entertaining as well as educational approach to the topic of space. It is fun for kids and adults alike, there is something for everyone here, and the IMAX and planetarium showings in particular are really cool. There are both indoor as well as outdoor sections with lots of stuff to explore, so be sure to pay attention to the weather forecast before you go so you can bring appropriate clothing. You can easily spend a full day here, so bring snacks and water for your breaks. There are 3 restaurants and also food trucks here, but the queues are long!

This serene garden tucked away in the busy streets of Toulouse. We have been in this area a few times but we were delighted to discovered this place today. It’s zen like and will give you some peace away from the main streets. It’s just adjacent to the main park. Lots of benches to sit and ponder about nothing , everything or anything.

The actual Japanese garden is a rather small part of the gardens. It is however very nice and well maintained, quite picturesque. You need perhaps 15 mins to see everything there.

The gardens were free to enter. Well maintained, pretty raked garden and Japanese style bridge over water with koi and lots of interesting shaped trees and equally interesting artwork. There is a small cafe and public toilet facilities behind the cafe. Also a children’s play park with various things like massive climbing rope frame.

If you love Japanese gardens, this a must see. You feel like you are in the countryside of Japan. Great place to relax and have a picnic.

Beautiful and relaxing garden in the heart of Toulouse, tucked away from the busy roads. There are benches and wooden houses to sit and rest or read a book. Nice place to hangout and relax.

Actually it's only a park with a small part designed in Japanese style, nothing more. However the entrance is free which compensate a little bit the disappointment. 15 minutes take to circle around the garden.

A good representation of a Japanese garden although the build quality of features like the bridge are not entirely in keeping, but that's being quite nit picking. Although fairly busy it was still possible to find a tranquil spot to contemplate.

It's nice to visit this place, you can relax and enjoy the nice view and children will differently enjoy playing on the playground. It sad that "Japanese Garden is under renovation, so we didn't see inside, but next time we visit hopefully it's open, and for sure we will go back to visit this place in Toulouse.

I visited here for the first time on February 19th 2023 and several spots were under the constructions including a pond by a small red bridge so I didn’t take much pictures because it wasn’t pretty with all the construction background😢 But it should be done by now according to the notice they posted. If you’re already living in or around Toulouse, it’s a peaceful and nice park to visit which also has a restaurant(‘Barricot’/they operate it as a cafe as well during weekdays) just next to the park. However if you’re a traveller for only one or two days, I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s a good one but not a best place to go. Like all gardens, it must be prettier when the weather is warm. Personally, I would visit here for next spring again.

Inside Compass-Caffarelli gardens, there is a small but beautiful Japanese garden. In good style, uses the water, rocks, etc to represent nature: the lakes, seas, mountains, etc. The control and love of nature in equal measure to use simplicity to create beauty. Less than 20 mins walk from the Capitole. I must see if you are in the area.

Despite the ongoing maintenance, this was a lovely and peaceful experience. Small, but very thought-out and rich garden.

Very beautiful! Benches all around to sit on as well as a grassy slope so ideal for reading out in the sunshine or spending time with friends. Peaceful and relatively quiet considering its location and popularity. Free to enter with no tickets required. A must visit if you find yourself in Toulouse.

Jardin Japonais offers a serene and tranquil environment, perfect for finding inner peace. The garden is beautifully designed, and a leisurely tour takes about 15 minutes. It's a hidden gem in Toulouse that provides a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Went to see and hear Le Dialogue des Carmélites. No overdubbing so very difficult to understand the Dialogue indeed. No compensation offered. The only consolation was a better seat. A special star to Mr Herrero who tried as best as he could to save the day. I'm hoping to receive an email with some kind of compensation in the near future

Kader Belarbi is a genius. Just watched the ballet Don Quichotte. Beyond beautiful. Must go to opera house if you are anywhere near Toulouse. Been standing there for hundreds of years. God I love historic places. And art.

Musically good (if somewhat visually unimaginative) performance of Mozart's Figaro, BUT the seats are the most uncomfortable I've experienced in any theatre anywhere. To the point that the constant shuffling of uncomfortable people becomes a distraction.

The performances are always top quality and wide in range. I've thoroughly enjoyed the concerts and operas I've seen here. I also appreciate the subtitling. It makes it much more accessible.

One of the places my son and I have enjoyed very much. He even took a power nap there and I take the opportunity to tank one more time to the very kind lady at the entrance of the light room, for letting him sleep on her chair. This is an old convent transformed in a museum with a beautiful patio garden with heavenly smelling roses and other beautiful plants that give these place a short of calmness and tranquility that you could only find in a church environment. On the other hand all the sculptures and artworks around compliment the settlement very well and the way the artwork is exposed, displayed is just fab. Loved it! 🙏

The museum is located in an old convent and it's a very beautiful gothic architectural gem. The collection is also beautiful with paintings and sculptures from the middle ages, a small collection but worth seeing The cafe in the ethrium middle of the building is also a plus. The museum is free and there was no waiting time.

The location itself and the cloister are just amazing. Such a shame the museum with its permanent collection is currently closed for construction. But the ongoing temporary exhibition is very nice and interesting.

Spectacular hidden gem. Lovely building with exciting exhibitions. Although we missed the galleries upstairs due to refurb work. Highly recommended if you want to get long in time in the middle of town!

Unfortunately, the museum is on renovation until 2025..., but the garden and a small exhibition are open. Also, there is a small caffe still working. So, I recommend visiting!

Truly a wonderful museum of Toulouse. Museum entry free 12 Euro per adult and school or college concession available in the entry free. Some world class oil painting and collection of old historical items in one place. Must watch place in Toulouse. Highly Recommended.

On the suggestion of my Indian friend, I decided to visit Rajasthan restaurant for the first time. Having visited other Indian restaurants before, I had certain expectations. The atmosphere and design of the place were quite impressive and captivating. The beautiful Asian tiles and intriguing paintings made me feel like I had traveled to India! Upon arrival, we were promptly seated at our reserved table for three. However, I was immediately disappointed to see that the table was covered with large tissues instead of a tablecloth. While it may not seem like a big issue, it was a little off-putting. Nevertheless, my disappointment was quickly forgotten when we were served a delicious welcome drink, which is only offered for free to those with a reservation. The main challenge I faced was navigating the complex menu, as I struggled to choose the right dishes. Thankfully, my Indian friend helped me make my selections, as I had faced similar issues in other Indian restaurants. For my entrée, I ordered the Shami Kebab, but unfortunately, it was not to my liking, despite being garnished with lettuce. Observing my reaction, my friend ordered another entrée of chicken and onions, which was truly delicious! As for the main course, I opted for the Masala Curry with beef, chicken butter, and lamb, which came with cheese naan and rice. The cheese naan was simply amazing and I highly recommend it. The beef curry and chicken butter were both really good, with the latter having a unique sweet taste like honey, and you could feel the butter melting in your mouth. However, the lamb was tough and difficult to chew. Overall, though, I really enjoyed my meal and found it to be satisfying. While Rajasthan restaurant may not be the best Indian restaurant I have ever visited, it is certainly a wonderful place to try new and exciting foods in Toulouse.

Outside freezing cold saturday evening, inside, warm but packed with people. Nevertheless, friendly service , quite quickly served and food was delicious. Even got a free apero and a shot at the end.

Get involved if youre in Toulouse. The mixed grill is to die for. Think the dessert was called Halwa was really good even though it looks like a slab of carrot.

Went to the place for dinner.. Starting with the ambience it was good. we ordered all veg - chana curry, aloo bombay, dal, rice and plain naan. First of all the prices are too high as per the average taste and low quantity. They gave a complimentary drink which was good. All the curries had same gravy with alot of garam masala and red chilli. we ordered for 2 out of 5 in spicy and it was so spicy that even after eating, it was burning inside. The taste was very average and all the gravies were same. The naan was burnt and hard. Will never recommend anyone to go there. One of the worst Indian restaurant in terms of food taste in toulouse. you can see in picture the burnt naan and same gravy for all curries.

Very good authentic Indian food in a clean and ambient space. Friendly service from a truly multilingual staff. I'm a northern California native and this restaurant reminds me of my favorite Indian restaurants back home. One of my favorite spots in Toulouse. My favorite dish is always vindaloo.

The staff are friendly and accommodating. They also speak English so it's a nice place to dine for foreigners. The meal was great and the price is quite affordable. At the end of our meal, the staff also came out with some freebie chocolate alcohol shots :) highly recommend this place~

Nice restaurant with plenty of meat dishes. Particularly good value for money in the case of their daily menu. At night dishes are also very nice but different prices.

Fabulous meal with excellent service. We opted for the Duck but the steaks also looked fantastic! Waiters friendly and efficient. We will definitely go back!

We had the most amazing food here for a very reasonable price. I had a pasta salad to start which was unusual not the best to be honest. Then we had the fillet steak which was amazing cooked to perfection. I had mine Rare which in France is blue . The dauphinous potato was delicious. Very good service and quick.

I was recommended here from my friend. As she told me, there is one of the good restaurant ever in Europe. The meet was so tender and had good taste. The potato gratin was very delicious and cream source was so good. The ravioli salad was fresh and delicious, and the last cup of kaluamilk I got was very sweet. It was a good experience to have a dinner with my friends in here. I really recommended Meet the Meat for dinner!! The cost of a meal was about twenty euros per person.

Absolutely delicious food and the best part is they have ‘Menu Végétal’ which we had chosen to eat. Each and everything was plant based and made from scratch. We celebrated our first wedding anniversary there and the staff was so thoughtful that they lit a candle with greetings on our desert. Perfect ambiance and perfect place to celebrate our special day. Definitely recommended.

Gourmet restaurant with beautiful terrace. Reservations necessary. Fully vegetarian menu available as well as non-veg. Tasting menus also available with multiple courses and wine pairings. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Excellent choice for a special occasion.

Idyllic riverside location for a birthday meal. Very well-executed French food with a few surprises. The tartare of langoustine and the chocolate and passionfruit dessert were particularly good. Very competent chef. The front of house were professional and very welcoming, accommodating my poor French with a smile. Great experience.

The atmosphere was beautiful. A lovely garden setting. We ordered the tasting menu with accompanying wine. I love French food and service. The food here however was the most bland and boring I have had in years anywhere in the world. Even the bread to accompany the food was cold and hard. The meal, was bland and tasteless. The fish had no flavour and the rabbit had lots of potential but no flavour. The desert was just a bit of sponge with some flourishes of small but tasty piped cream. The wines were small tasting portions rather than a normal glass. The most attentive waiter was the wine waiter. The rest of the waiters did not get us more water, butter for the bread or even salt / pepper when we asked. We had to keep asking again and again. The high ratings may be warranted but not for our table and visit this time. France usually has such delicious food, wine and service especially for such a highly ranked restaurant.

Set away from the commercial part of the town . Well renovated old building changed into a restaurant on two floors. The staff are very welcoming snd knowledge whilst the food is very good. Well presented, tasty and interesting. The housekeeping needs upgrading, but very well worth a visit.

Just wow. I came here twice during my stay in Toulouse, and both times, every single thing I tried was perfect. The cassoulet (which was my reason for visiting) is justifiably famous and unctuous, but they also have a deft hand with fish and with classic desserts. It doesn’t feel fancy, but everything is prepared with such care and precision that the results are deliciously memorable. I’ll be back next time I visit Toulouse!

We really enjoyed our time in the restaurant. The cassoulet was just superb as well as all the other courses...however, the chocolate desert with bloody orange sorbet was on top of that...simply wow...On the other hand, service could be better - more professional...

First the cassoulet : probably the best in Toulouse, very generous and amazing ingredients. I come back every time I travel to Toulouse. The rest of the menu is amazing, the foie gras for starter is incredible and the soufflet for desert is out of this world. Then I need to speak about the kids menu: pretty sure that I have never found a kids menu as amazing as this one: they serve high quality and delicious fish, my daughters love it and keep asking me to come back. Amazing value for money, true authentic food and the service was also perfect. Love this place!!!

They are known for the cassoulet, that everyone seemed to be enjoying. I had duck breast, well prepared, could have come with a few more veggies.

We were taken here by a dear friend of many years. Who advised that only locals ate here. The food was of the highest standard and the service was excellent.

Nice ambiance and delicious food. Generous portion. We took the 3 course dinner menu and it is 42EUR per pax - I have a feeling it's on the steep side. Not sure if this is French standard for a one star Michelin restaurant.

We had a lovely traditional lunch in our last day in Tolouse. I highly recommend their cassoulet to share. It was very delicious. Nice ambiance inside and lovely dining area outside too. Must try in Toulouse.

Disclaimer: the 4 stars are related to the expectations we have from a Star restaurant and do not have an absolute value. The food, the wine and the service are great. Compared to other restaurants of the same category we missed something. The menu is definitely creative and interesting, but next to some absolutely outstanding courses we also got a couple of dissonant notes in particular regarding the dessert. The wine advices from the sommelier for each plate were absolutely outstanding ( worth 5 stars ).

Great lunch! was Highlight was the dessert and petit four. Had the duck for main course, it was tender and not over seasoned. I was slightly thrown off by the spring rolls for appetizers, they tasted good, just not what I would've expected in the middle of toulouse. Overall delicious lunch, really enjoyed the wine pairing and great value!

We were looking forward our diner there but.. what a disappointment! The menu was far from original, which could have been a good way to propose some unexpected flavours but that was unfortunately not the case. Pretty tasteless and unbalanced dishes overall and we even found a bone in our fish! So if you want to enjoy some really fine food, choose another restaurant. This one is not worth the price you'll be paying.
