Amazing, beautiful, just pure in awe when we visited here today. The architecture and the way the structure has stood the test of roughly 2300 yrs is just mind boggling!! Amazing views of the ocean and Taormina landscapes!! Highly recommended if your even slightly into history!! I couldn't stop saying "Wow, this is beautiful, this is amazing!! I'm from the USA and you can literally barely find anything architecturally stunning like this in the States!! 🤘👍👍👍

4 stars for the views, 3 for the theater. Instead of historical preservation, they have installed lights and speaker systems, modern railings, plywood walkways, etc. The additions detract from the historic beauty of the old theater, and removing them would improve the experience many times over. I have been to many Greek theaters around the Mediterranean and never seen one so contaminated. It is a beautiful setting with rich history, and it could be so much better!

A must when in Taormina. Stunning views of the city, Etna, and the coast. The Teatro is stunning. Very historical. We LOVED our visit to this historical landmark. Arrive early because it gets busy later in morning and afternoon.

The theater itself is great. The fact that it is still used for actual plays is both impressive and a bit annoying, as the modern upgrades take away from its ancient charm. It is massive and still going strong after so many years. It's location is probably what makes i more attractive, being up a mountain and with breathtaking view over the beaches and coast. Entry is 10 euros and some may consider it a bit much (since there is not much to do), but you really pay for the view and awesome lookout spots in an ancient site. The queue gets long in the afternoon, so you might want to go before noon.

Great view from the theater. The place itself has a lot of history and it's very well kept and maintained. The view of the surroundings is amazing! You see the beaches, the mountains and everything in between. I highly recommend you get tickets online before visiting or even at the door, because waiting lines can be up to an hour and if it's hot outside it's very tiring.

Highly recommend to go to the theater in the morning when it just opens, especially before the large amount of your groups arrive. Love the view - having Ancient Greek theater and the volcano in the same view is just surreal. Also remember to walk around the theater, the viewpoint next to the cafe has amazing panorama view to the ocean. Didn’t got a chance to check out performances in the theater, but think it would be quite a cool experience!

Cool site! Would be nice to have a few more information signs, especially about which bits have been rebuilt and when. The views are amazing along the coast and the site is well laid out so it's easy to navigate

Really nice place to visit. Is an entry fee for 10€ but is worth to go there, climb a bit more up and see the view from this theatre. Nicely built huge monument. While you in Taormina do not miss this out unless you plan to come back in your life again. Is beautiful.

We decided to see if the line was long before buying tickets. We usually buy ahead, but the weather had been questionable that day. Our decision to wait was a just fine. We decided not to join a tour, and opted for the audio tour instead. I know we were overcharged for that decision. Nevertheless, it was the correct decision for us as seniors who were already tired and hot from the day. We loved it! Even though the movie screen from the film festival blocked the view and the plastic chairs covered the stone seats, it was worth every euro and every minute and every step of the climb up. The best part were the views. I highly recommend spending time at the top and going to the cafe where you can climb the stairs. We happened to have a clear view in that moment and it was beyond fabulous. I think the tour would have enhanced our knowledge, but it didn’t matter. We loved it.

This garden is the most beautiful garden I have ever seen. Very nicely maintained and really gives the beautiful view to the Mediterranean Sea to the spectacular water. Perfect for pictures and relax on a bench and if you want walk around and just enjoy the view and the good weather. I highly recommend to go there I am sure you will not regret it.

Perched above Taormina, the British Park offers a serene escape with breathtaking views of the sea and city. A tranquil haven, where nature and beauty intertwine, providing a peaceful respite from the world below.

This park is a fresh place in Taormina. You can find a fountain ton drink at the entrance on the side, 2 beautiful and atypical old houses and a small panoramic view on the sea and the train station part of the valley.

Beautiful gardens, with stunning views, well worth a walk around. It's bigger than it seems.

A beautiful garden which was built by an Englishwoman with a great mix of facilities. It has some lovely terraces with lovely views over the sea and Taormina together with Mount Etna in the distance. It also has a series of follies, some aviaries (2 parrots was all we spotted la children's playground and some outdoor exercise areas. There are plenty of benches and at the far end some stones that look good for a picnic. Some of the buildings were fenced off and there are no toilets within the park. We went in late May about 11.00 and it was quite quiet.

Very nice site to walk. Nice buildings and very good maintenance. Good overview of the surroundings. Nice night view. No direct parking, but if you come late in the evening, hopefully you can park at the side of the street.

Amazing and lovely garden. There is drinkable water near the central entrance. There are a lot of interesting old buildings and places fo sit relax and enjoy the lovely view.

Beautiful place in the middle or the public garden. Now somethings are under reconstruction but they are still super beautiful and the reconstructive work was placed on that way so the beauty of the buildings is not invisible. Entrance is of course free and you just got to enjoy and everything you see.

Lovely shaded gardens with some ruins to look at as you walk around. On one side you can overlook the harbour and the sea There is also a medium sized playground for the children.

Lovey little garden, definitely worth a visit. Unlike many sites in Italy it’s completely free. Sunset was a really nice time to go, the crowds didn’t seem to migrate from the main section down here, so there’s plenty of space to park up for a bit and enjoy the view.

Going to the opera is must do at least once in the lifetime. Italy is the perfect place to do so.

This Opera adds some trimmings to your vacance. Of course this is quite different from the operas in Milano, but I had very good night attending this concert. Between stages you will enjoy drink. This Opera is rather like a Italian song concert and I enjoyed the local atmosphere.

For a community theater, this is outstanding. You listen to an hour or so of selections from famous operas by young performers who are very good. They exude enthusiasm with the stance and manor of professionals, facial expressions and all. At the intermission, you are ushered to a terrace for champagne and a lovely view of the Piazza IX of April. For under €25 a person you can't go wrong. Just be prepared to climb many steps to get there.

What a lovely end to the evening , quality performance from the pianist snd soprano singer . We paid 33 euros each which was good value , they gave you a drink in the intermission , the only gripe I had was that it could be a bit longer with a couple more singers .

We had an enjoyable intimate evening listening to the opera. Even though I didn't know all the songs they sang there a few classics everyone would recognise. Everyone in the hall had a splendid evening and if you want a snippet at the night at the opera it's perfect.

Great little unpretentious venue with short entertaining concerts and a beautiful outdoor space overlooking the piazza

Now I'm a punk guy but did it for the wife and loved it. The quality of the pianist and two singers was top quality. It wasn't too long and a kind of opera greatest hits but with the views as well was a magical experience. Definitely give it a try.

A very reverant active catholic church in the city. Very detailed murals and portraits depicting the life of Christ. In my opinion, the most impressive is a very detailed carving of the last supper in front of the altar. The details on all of the disciples faces is very inspiring that the artist must of had a Strong knowledge of that event in the bible. It worth the time to just sit in this sanctuary and reflect on your personal journey in this life.

Small piazza in front of the cathedral and surrounded by restaurants. There's a fresh water fountain that you can refresh and drink at but always long queue.

This is the main cathedral of Taormina which is the main place of worship in the city. It's a historic medieval cathedral with Roman-Gothic architecture and also features an elaborate statue of the last supper at the centre of the cathedral. It's free to visit and a must do if you're in Taormina.

Nice Normannic style cathedral. Definitely worth visiting. No entrance fees. Also the piazza in front invites for a coffee or an aperol.

Fabulous place in a beautiful location. Sadly it was raining. I would love to come back when it’s sunny and warm. A good energy in this tourist town, people were friendly.

Beautiful, spectacular and very unique. It was good to be there, spend some time on the square, enjoying the panoramic view from above Inthe shadow of this masterpiece. It's breathtaking from both inside and outside, therefore it's well worth the visit. Can only recommend.

Ideally loved this little church that is not getting the attention it deserves. People (tourist's) are focusing on more "popular" object's, meanwhile this church can be considered as a hidden gem. At least, normally it's not packed, so visiting is effortless. Well worth the time and attention.

A cute little baroque church and surprised to see a decorated antique car outside. Inside of the church is clean and simple and seems that very little maintenance was done.

Wonderful experience! We were seated right away for 3 people without reservation and big line. Beautiful villa and super attention. Delicious pizzas from the pros! They are the same family pizza of La Napoletana which we also tried and was the best pizza I’ve ever had 🍕 thank you !🙏

If you are in Italy you will know, that finding a place that opens after 3pm for lunch is a no. Let me tell you this is not the case I will show, you can come here all afternoon and take it slow. The pizza is insane, so tasty it almost explode my brain, I could have it as a starter and as a main, or even pack a few to take them with me on the plane.

An exceptional experience: the place is charming, the staff is very friendly, and the pizza (which was recommended by many locals) is one of the best I’ve ever had. Highly, highly recommended for a night out (try to be there before 8:00 pm to get good tables).

This tip was given to me by a local friend and I’m happy I went to have dinner here. Pizza was very tasty! Served with the right amount of toppings and moist as it should be. The personnel is friendly and cheerful. Service was fast and snappy, so for two persons a reservation was not necessary.

One of the best pizza I've ever had! The menu offers a wide variety of pizza. The ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Wine is also tasty and reasonable priced. The service is good and food comes fast. The atmosphere is cosy and quiet. Tables are offered both on the outside and inside. Very good experience!

Very good pizza! Crunchy and thin base makes it the perfect pizza. We also had cheese and meat board with an addition of honey which I really recommend to try. Also very good house white wine.

The restaurant has a great ambiance, especially with the pizza oven. The service was fast, we barely had to wait a few minutes before stuet served our pizzas. They have a vast selection of pizzas, with different kinds of bases. Their beer selection was good as well, with a few crafted beers on the menu. I recommend getting a reservation in advance, when we left there was a massive line waiting before the pizzeria.

Extremely popular restaurant. Very huge selection of dishes. Pizza is really tasty and one of the best in Taormina and surrounding. Service is polite. The only restaurant in Taormina which have "waiting garden" in the case that you don't have a reservation and want to wait for free table.

This was the best pizza I ever had, it was amazing and delicious. People here are very kind, service is excellent, recommendation to everyone who is visiting Taormina! My favorite ones are Tartufella, Regina di Bronte & Villa Zuccaro🥰

Delicious woodfire pizza. One was enough to share between two people plus we had a brasaelo and green salad. The staff are very attentive, fast and friendly. The pizza came out very quickly and the salad was large and went perfectly with the pizza. We enjoyed a red leffe beer and a white wine. Beautiful setting with lots of lights and great ambience. Popular among tourists for a reason. A bit hidden away and up some stairs but worth looking up and visiting.

Pistachio arancini is for the idea because you see a lot of pistachio but the taste is strongly on the cheese and bacon side! Looks nice though. The filled pizza(maybe a local dish) is nice because you don’t get mouth or hand dirty from the topping 😃very kind staff trying to tell me things in English! Casual setting, self-order at the counter. For the picture it costs 6.5 Euro. Recommended to try!

Humble place, but delicious food. To consider the queue, on average a minimum of half an hour to serve you, remember to take the number to be served. The arancini were extraordinary, simple, but with quality ingredients and freshly cooked

Amazing Arancini’s at a good price. The best in Sicily! We had the classic meat one and the pistachio one. Both were very good, hot and tasty. Only downside is that they make you pay for forks however the traditional way is to eat with your hands

We literally loved them: arancino ragù and arancino with sarde. We also loved the cashier, always very kind, friendly and welcoming.

Friendly staff, cute place with a nice terrace to eat. We ordered a pizza la Norma and pizza pistacchio and it was delicious! It was around 2.50 - 3€ and the price was good considering the rates in Taormina. Highly recommend it.

The reviews are spot on. Best Arancini I’ve ever heard and pizza was superb as well. Great staff, take a number and read the menu ahead of time to decide what you want to order. It’s always busy! Tables outside on the deck or inside. Full bar and drinks. Don’t miss the pistachio arancini.

All the food is amazing. Italian easy snacks ( arancini, pizza, lasagna) in small portions so you can grab different ones at once and die happily afterwards. You cannot miss this place

I'm half Sicilian and I grew up eating arancini. I can undoubtedly say that Rosticceria Da Cristina has the best arancini I've ever had in my life. Every type of arancini I had was incredible and nothing comes close. My wife and I decided to have dinner here even though it's a takeaway place with limited seating. The place is packed every time we went, but it was worth it. I can't recommend this place enough.

Delicious, cheap, friendly people. Definitely stop by if you want the best Sicilian specialties. The arancini were still coming out hot of the kitchen at 11pm. Our friends had a pizza slice and salad and that was great too. The drinks are super cheap too. 3 euro for a beer!

Delicious food in the center for a great price! Arancini with eggplant and ragu were very good. Pizza is okay, good for the price, but not the highlight. Staff spoke English too and was very kind. Take a number from the entrance. We waited ~20 minutes with over 15 people before us, it was really fast. Takeaway or if you’re lucky there’s an open table.

Probably the best Arancini I've had in the city. They had a lot of options even if you're vegetarian. Friendly and helpful staff as well! Their pizza is also freshly made and I would recommend giving that a try as well! I visited them multiple times during my stay.

love in a deep-fried rice ball...that's what this place is. the energy of the place, the long queue and justifiably so, the variety of arancinis and pizzas, is just maddeningly good. there's nothing not to like about this place, except maybe the little seating available outdoors. an absolute must when in the city. loved it!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local hotel. From the outside it doesn't look very special but the food, the owners and their hospitality was amazing. Out of seven nights we ate there for four nights, we couldn't get enough. You need to book to avoid disappointment. Photos of an empty plate says it all. If you like your pasta and your seafood you won't be disappointed.

This is a great local spot for an authentic, superb quality Sicilian seafood-focused food. We made a reservation in advance which is a must during busy season and we were glad we did. The service was also superb.

We had reservations a month in advance, but no preferential table. The greeting was not warm and fuzzy, although our waiter was nicer. We were not advised of ALL the specials and I chose a dish that was more traditional Sicilian - linguini with a pistachio sauce. Tasty , but ask for light on the sauce.

Great local restaurant ,food is amazing! We had veggie, veal and gamba, with a bottle of local white wine, the bill was 71 euros. It's more than worth it! But you do need to make a reservation, it's very busy there.

Great place to eat local food and enjoy some local wines. Great selection and service. Extremely hot in August and hard to keep the inside cool with doors open. Highly recommend.

Fantastic place. Small and quiet, with Italian music from my youth. Service is very attentive and kind, never invasive. Food is very good we really appreciate the 3 crude fish and linguine. The dessert was the typical almond and ricotta cheese cake. A good coffee at the end sublimed our lunch. Price adequate to the quality and high end standards of Taormina. Better reserve a table in advance. French and English spoken here. Очень хорошо, рекомендую.

I'm honestly baffled by all the positive reviews. This was probably one of the worst experiences that I've ever had in a restaurant. We wanted to leave the moment we walked in but we made the mistake of staying, thinking that it can't be this bad, considering the reviews this place has. - Waiters felt extremely cold. - The atmosphere was horrible. We were put in some sort of balcony where the tables were super cramped. Although the weather was more than decent, they had the plastic blinders pulled down which made it feel claustrophobic. It felt more like a canteen than a highly rated restaurant. - Both me and my girlfriend got pasta and they had to be the blandest ones we've ever eaten. Literally had no taste. The prices are not justified at all for the quality of the food. Don't get me wrong, it was not "bad" in the "poisonous food" sense, but the ratings that this place has makes absolutely no sense. Taormina is full of better restaurants. Just don't waste your time and money here. I also saw that the owners tend to answer to critical reviews in a very condescending way. That should tell you enough about them.

Very friendly staff, nice view onto the sea. The food was good! Unfortunately the served white bread was very hard and dry and the pasta portion size was small for the money! Would like to see the drinks on the menu as well.

Very friendly staff who speaks min. 3 languages. The food was authentic, portions were good and the spaghetti with seafood very tasty! We were happy that it was not a tourist trap!

This was truly a fantastic restaurant, Food, Service, Ambiance, Price all 5 STARS and as a restaurant owner myself with multiple locations I highly recommend this place while visiting Taormina. Reservations are highly recommended. Every dish we experienced was absolutely fantastic.

Our house lady recommended this restaurant and 2 others in Taormina. They were all excellent but this one really stood out. The quality of service, ambience, menu options and presentation were top level. The clearly superior chef inspired tastes were miles above the standard “tourist trap” fare on the main corso for around the same price. Trattoria Tiramisu is an absolute must do dining experience and as such it should be booked a few days ahead. Oh, and it had the “best ever” Tiramisu too. 5 stars for a Trattoria style which could easily hold its own against some of the better fine dining on offer in town or anywhere else in Sicily.

Had a fantastic experience here with my partner. We didn’t have a booking, but they squeezed us into the outside space as we were quite keen on sitting outside (it was a lovely night). The food was awesome, I thought the squid ink ravioli special (not pictured unfortunately) was the best. Tiramisu was amazing too, they lived up to the name. Really good wine selections for us from them too. Service was really good, staff were super friendly and nice. They added to make the night wonderful. Completely underrated, probably the best food I’ve had in Italy.

The food was amazing. Literally, everything we order. The waiter was a little bit uptight but still professional. I guess he's aware of the perfection of their main chef... Melinzana with tuna is a must. I would definitely come back for sure.

One of the best restaurants in Sicily, we went to this restaurant twice. The environment is very good, the service attitude of the waiter is very good, and the chef left a deep impression on us. The taste is very good and the tiramisu is delicious!

The best restaurant in Taormina! We’ve been traveling for 10 days in Sicily, here we found the BEST pastas and tiramisu. The food so good we went twice for dinner :) Great service, food fresh, tasty, worth every penny. You must try mussels soup, ravioli with meat, sea food pasta…. Wow every dish is a winner !

Did not disappoint, everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered 2 specials, the devil shrimp.pasta which was the best dish on the table, the lobster fettuccine, and then off of the regular menu we ordered the penne and the spaghetti with tomato and garlic, less amazing but still delicious. Check it out if you find yourself in Toarmina.

Everything was top-notch - starting from the service, all the way to the dessert. Seafood phenomenal. Pasta cooked to perfection. Daily specials are stunning and immensely tasty! I will be returning and I recommend you domtge same 😋

We selected this restaurant for the view, which was amazing but they are definitely serving at maximum capacity as the tables were so close together all the dining chairs were touching each other. The service was good and we had hoped for a relaxing experience but with all the activity around us and the closeness of other guests, it was certainly not relaxing. This is definitely a family restaurant as there were a large number of small children with electronics in hand, noise included. The pasta dishes were good but the prawn dish was fishy and mushy so we had to send it back. In all fairness, they tried to replace the prawn dish but at that point we didn’t want it. Doubtful we will return to this restaurant given the abundance of other restaurants with a view.

The small door led us to the discovery of the great restaurant. Located in the center of Taormina pedestrian street Granduca offers a spectacular menu with a good mix of fish and meat choices. They also have great fresh fish selection to choose from

We went for dinner last evening. Please book in advance: You will have the choice between the restaurant and the pizzeria. Don’t think you will be low graded with the pizzeria as the view is really breathtaking as well. So we booked for the restaurant on the terrace to get of course the amazing view but it was full unfortunately… What a surprise once arrived there when they lead us to our table with the best view one 😍. The food was great, nothing exceptional but really tasty and nice pieces of meat (With this kind of view, you would wrongly expect a gastronomic menu so please, enjoy the view and the moment and the food is more than ok with a great quality price ratio). The service was also amazing! Thank you all… I saw some bad reviews unfortunately but please again please enjoy the moment, the view and be positive, all the rest will follow 😉

We had booked a table at the Pizzeria (strong recommendation!). The terrace has an amazing view, but the place is all about Pizza, and the team will go every extra mile to create a perfect Italien evening for you. Pizzas come fresh from oven, and the menu list some special varieties that you should give a try. Selection of wine is good, you can rely on the local wines for €30 to be a good choice, but of course feel free to take a more exclusive bottle. We did not try the desert, because while the Pizzas do not look big, their perfect dough and massive toppings fill you up just fine, especially if you share the mixed antipasti before that. Again, this is highly recommended, try the mortadella, and the pistachio cheese. And the local Amaro is a fine thing, but quite powerful.

Absolutely the best pizza I had in Taormina. Order the Diablo Pizza well done. We went back two additional times during our week stay. Many other delicious fresh fish dishes in the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and on point. Amazing views on the patio. Enjoy!

Granduca offers top quality and delicious Sicilian food! The view is nice; but not the best in Taormina. We have shared a parmigiana di melanzane as a starter and it was very good! We have shared two secondis with my husband: a pizza quattro formaggi and swordfish steak cooked with tomates, capers and olives. Swordfish steak was exceptional! Pizza quattro formaggi was very good!
