Awesome place to go see. A must go destination in Tokyo. It does get very busy so I recommend taking the train but there is parking available nearby too. So many cool thing to see here and do. A great day trip location. So many shops and restaurants and neat things to take pictures of.

Absolutely one of my favorite spots in Tokyo. Yes, very touristy but if you want iconic photos I'd argue this is THE spot for them. Lots of food and trinket vendors in the area and if you time it well, you may catch a local celebration which brings even more energy and food vendors to the area! As a bonus, you can purchase a range of blessings inside the temple. There are a range of Wonderful and historical items to view in this general area as well.

We went there at 8am as it is a stone away from our accommodation. It was raining that morning so maybe that is the reason why only a few tourists are there, and we pass by the stores that mostly close at that time. Lovely to see the intricate connection details, the big lantern, pagoda, and the main temple. After a short tour, we decided to buy some snacks that are filled with red beans and it was delicious. When we are heading outside the temple at 9am, we were greeted by the big influx of tourist.

The place was crowded but it was well worth it. Many stone carvings and statues around the grounds. There were lots of stands selling things or all types statues, mask, food and other souvenir worthy things. The temple itself was beautiful. A whole lotta red. You can pray or give thanks and they sell charms inside too.

The temple buildings and grounds are beautiful. The architecture is stunning, grounds immaculate, and vibe amazing for Tokyo. Coming from the main gate, you go through many vendors selling food, drinks, and souvenirs before you get to the temple itself. It's an extremely touristy in that area, and after early morning, it gets extremely busy and crowded. After you pass the crowds in the street market, it gets quieter so you can enjoy the temple itself more. So whether you go for the street vendor atmosphere or the temple itself, it's definitely worth a visit.

Sensoji is a very famous temple in Tokyo. Everyone knows this place. I often go to this place to shop at the shops around the temple or to take pictures with the beautiful scenery here. This place is always crowded with visitors especially on holidays. Many Japanese people come to pray at the shrine here. But for a foreigner like me, this place has become a favorite tourist spot in Tokyo.

This temple is a good start for new tourist to Japan. A long shopping street leading to the temple is nice for photos or souvenirs. sellers are nice, can speak English, offer Japanese stuff. The surrounding is full of restaurant and all kinds of Japanese food and desserts. Tourists are crowded in the front of the temple but getting inside will give you more air and better photos. You can also see Tokyo Tower from here.

One of the famous places must go in Tokyo, Japan. The shrine is crowded all the time; along the way to the main shrine, you will find souvenir shops where people shops for snacks and window shopping. Also, Japanese wears by travelers are also popular there. The shrine inside is less crowded and travelers are pay respect and meditation pray there for happiness and etc.

Very crowded and popular tourist attraction. I went on the weekend and I am sure it was much busier than on a weekday. I came by train and the station was very close and convenient and very crowded. Many tourists were dressed in traditional Japanese kimonos which made the experience particularly nice. The temple itself is very beautiful. There were a lot of people burning incense which I assume has some religious significance. Also there are these boxes that have fortune telling papers. You shake a container and randomly pull a stick out of it which has a number which tells you which drawer to get your fortune. The adjacent shopping area has a huge selection of shops selling traditional Japanese souvenirs and products. Also many restaurants offering primarily Japanese cuisine including Sushi restaurants. This tourist attraction is well worth a visit for the ambience alone but also for shopping and eating.

It’s one of the main tourist attractions in Tokyo. Beautifully constructed temple in Tokyo. Lots of shops are available on both sides of the lane in the temple. It’s also called as Asakusa temple. Night view is really awesome. During Sakura season it’s a delight to see the beauty. It’s of the picturesque spots in Tokyo. Every photographer in Tokyo will atleast have 50-100 pics of Sensoji temple. It’s the first temple I visited in Tokyo. So I personally like this place. A must visit temple to any foreigner in Tokyo who believes in god.

It’s even more amazing at night. A definite must see for any traveler/tourist when visiting Tokyo. So many cool shops around the temple as well. Great place for photo opportunities and enjoying the whole Japanese experience.

Beautiful Buddhist temple, centrally located and easily accessible by public transport. Get there early in the day for a less crowded experience, however before 10/10.30AM you’ll likely find most of the shops still closed. You’ll find public restrooms and some food stalls. Food isn’t great but not bad either.

We came here ourselves and not with a tour group. This temple and the whole complex is bigger than we realised, and it was definitely worth coming to see and so remarkable. There were just far too many people at the main gate and along the main street leading to the main great. With the benefit of hindsight, we should have come here early in the day, and not mid afternoon. Absolutely stunning and definitely worth seeing, but be prepared for all the people.

During my visit to Tokyo, Japan in 2019. I had a wonderful time visiting and exploring the various cultural opportunities the country provided. Ranging from historical landmarks, to temples, to delicious food stalls and souvenir shops that offer a variety of goodies to take back home.

This place was bigger than I expected. We visited here on a National Holiday. It was crowded but we managed to move around easily. You can visit this place in 30 minutes or longer depending on the time you have. We spent about an hour here and I felt it was plenty of time. It's worth the visit, and there is no entry fee.

I love this place. It’s so relaxing and peaceful. There’s also many stores surrounding the temple where you can enjoy buying food, souvenirs, or just walking around. It remind me of a anime and feels unreal. We went late at night and there was still a lot of people and the surrounding of this temple have so much late lights restaurants. I love the atmosphere and highly recommend coming here.

Gorgeous temple. Lots of people during the day but that's to be expected of such an iconic place in Tokyo. Lots of shops with food, clothes, masks, fans and an assortment of souvenirs and other shops. The grounds are beautiful as is the temple. If you come in from the main street there will be a ton of tourist taking photos, but if you can resist the urge and make your way to the back it opens up and you can grab some photos without so many people. You can also see Tokyo Sky tree from parts of the temple area. There are many plaques with English so you'll be able to read the history of the pieces and sculptures.

What a pretty place especially when the sakura blossomed! We came on 25 March evening and there's quite a crowd here. The weather was super chilly due to the drizzle throughout the day (almost). There are some stalls at that area which sells hot food and it's definitely tempting but I didn't try. Definitely worth a visit here in spring!

Ueno Park is a very relaxing place to go after you grow tired of the buzz of the city. The fantastic greenery, the cool breeze, the birds singing will make you fall in love with this beautiful park. Definitely a must go for park lovers.

Beautiful park. Came for the cherry blossom season and left with so much more. Museums, a concert hall, shrines and a large Zoo will fill your day and evening with memories that will stay with you forever.

One of the best park to see Sakura, and it will be very crowded around that time. During the sakura season, you can see many people doing picnic in the park. This Park is pretty big as it has some temples and one of temple is dedicate to one of the famous "7 Lucky Gods." It also has the biggest Zoo in Tokyo where you enter for a fee. In the middle of the park there is a lake where you rent a paddle boat. Certain times there is a show (such as a monkey performance, etc) in the park or some flee market. Not to mentioned, they many some famous museums here such as the National Museum Nature and Science, etc, They also have a cozy Starbucks in the middle of the park. So there are quite things to see/explore in this park, therefor Ueno park is one of the famous park in Tokyo!

One of the biggest park in Tokyo to visit. Very close to Museums and the zoo with panda, this is a great place for picnic during the cherry blossom season (also at night!). You can see shrines and a nice pond as well. I like visiting also Ameyokocho, the casual street shopping area just a new walk away from this park.

Great place to refreshing your breath! Came here in a morning and found many local people walking around, even it's in rainy season. There are alot of tree and also many cool musuem nereby. Easy to go by JR train and bus. This is good place for kids and pets as well. I also found there is a local basketball competition and school festival in the middle of park. Beautiful place!

Went there in September 2015 so it has been a while but it can also be food to see what has evolved since then. I do avoid zoos since I have been to this one and for several reasons. The entry was 6 euros at the time, which was kind of shocking to me -until I realized literally everything inside has to be paid for so it made more sense. The decorations and landscapes inside the zoo's are breathtaking, I think this is the part I enjoyed the most our of everything. I truly hope these are still here today. But then one memory that is still burning in my brain is the one of the polar bear, obviously underweight and bored, with distressing behaviour. People were hitting the window and stressing him out even more. I hope by now the polar bear is not here anymore or better taken care of. There are so many more things to do and discover in Tokyo 💙

Nice zoo, good selection of animals which are kept in good condition. Signage could be better, especially for crossing between the two sections of the zoo. Feeding times are spread across the day, so even if you come 1 hour before closing you will still get to see some.

A huge, labyrinthine zoological haven; has a wide variety of animals (although a bummer due to the absence of some like the gorillas - on their monthly check-up; polar bears are viewable until 2; the tiger enclosure is forest dense so you're gonna have to be real patient to see them). It's a really great place to take your kids to, to pass the time and to enjoy and learn about wildlife. The vivarium was the cake for moi!

Amazing zoo, it was really well kept. Everything was clean as in all Japan. We were able to see all the animals including the pandas. We were there like 3-4 hours to visit all exhibitions. Would recommend!!

We had a great time at the zoo. The animals are very well cared for and you can see them anytime, except the polar bear who was to shy to come out. Plenty of vending machines for snacks and cold drinks and plenty of bathrooms. Great day and not expensive ;0)

The most famous & family friendly zoo in Tokyo area. Its reasonable fee, 600 yen for adult and free of charge for the children who's age is under 13, is also attractive factor. Strongly recommend bring a lunch box（a bento）as a restaurant ＆ a food is limited, furthermore it's kinda pricey.

Nice zoo located in Ueno Park. Many exhibitions are old and could do with renovating, but generally well kept. Good information provided in both Japanese and English. Extremely busy on public holidays, expect queues to see popular animals (panda queue was 2.5 hours today).

Such a nice place to relax and bond with your family in the city. I have been here thrice already, and it's great to see that they have added another area which people can explore. Food is also available in the area as well as vending machines and several rest areas, so you won't have a problem when you get tired or hungry.

Ameya-Yokochō is an open-air market in the Taito Ward of Tokyo, Japan, located next to Ueno Station. The market is approximately 164,227 square feet in area, starting just behind the Yodobashi Camera building and following the Yamanote Line south until the Komuro building. The market is home to over one hundred and eighty one shops, which sell products ranging from fresh food and fish to clothing and time pieces.

Great place to shop and dine. It’s right next to Ueno Park and Ueno Station. Very busy on a weekday. Found the tastiest shop for deep fried carmalized sweet potatoes. There’s many shops and eateries, just keep on going if one restaurant is full there’s more options. There are cosmetics, fresh fruits, seafood, clothing and fake merchandise you can pick up. Enjoy and explore!

Nice shopping street! Lots of shops and international restaurants. I also found a little hidden temple in that area.

I gained entry with a university student discount. My entire experience within this massive complex was most definitely worth it. Being a history nerd such as myself, I was marvelled by the age of many items on display here, truly, even if you've got absolutely no interest in Buddhism, the sculptures showcased here would still make you wonder how they had survived for so long. I highly recommend a trip to this museum where you could learn to appreciate exquisitely detailed works of art of religious, historical, national, and even personal significance.

Good place to get a glimpse of Japanese art and culture. There are different buildings and each has a central focus. Displays change only after a couple of years though.

A really great museum with so much to see for a reasonable price. We paid 1000 Yen per person and felt like this was well worth the price. There are several buildings with multiple buildings which had a combination of artefacts, artworks, ceramics and more! Would highly recommend a visit and come early - the museum closes at 5pm and there is easily a good 4-5 hours worth of interesting exhibitions to see.

I recently had the chance to visit the Tokyo National Museum, and let me tell you, it was an incredible experience. I'm still in awe of the sheer amount of history and fascinating artifacts they have on display. Honestly, we didn't even have enough time to see everything! This museum is huge, with so many rooms and exhibitions to explore. The first thing that struck me was the beauty of the museum itself. It's a stunning building that really sets the tone for what you're about to experience inside. And let me tell you, it's a treasure trove of history! From ancient sculptures to delicate ceramics, from traditional textiles to exquisite paintings, there's something for everyone here. Each exhibit is curated with so much care and attention to detail, making it a truly immersive experience. The price was really reasonable, especially considering the amount of content you get to see. I mean, this museum is jam-packed with artifacts from various periods of Japanese history. It's worth every penny! One thing to keep in mind is that you'll need a good amount of time to fully appreciate everything the Tokyo National Museum has to offer. It's not the kind of place you can rush through. I'd suggest planning to spend a good chunk of your day here. Take your time, read the descriptions, and let the history sink in. Trust me, it's worth it. Another thing I appreciated was the availability of seating areas throughout the museum. In conclusion, if you're a history buff like me, a visit to the Tokyo National Museum is an absolute must. It's a breathtaking place that showcases the rich cultural heritage of Japan. What a fantastic place. The layout is great. The lighting and artifact display are the best I have seen so far. Wonderful museum shop. We got high quality postcards depicting japanese art for 100 yen. The museum was also a nice respite from Tokyo summer heat. However, evem when the weather is nice, I would still spend time here!

Very comprehensive museum about Japan’s history and art. Their information and captions are available in multiple languages (English, Chinese and Korean). I recommend visiting here from morning to cover most of the exhibits. There are also refreshment rooms too for resting.

Wonderful museum in the heart of Ueno. The park surrounding it is also large and perfect for a morning walk. Entrance to the museum grounds only costs 1000yen, which is totally worth it! The museum is full of Japanese artifacts and all exhibits have English to help tourists. There are multiple large buildings to explore meaning you'll have a lot of things to look at and spend a great afternoon or morning doing so.

This is an adorable museum in Japan. Too big to visit. We have been there two days. Maya special exhibition is great which is very different culture from Asian. We meet national treasure—dogu and watched movies. They have different versions language. The gift shop is great. We got some Maya, Dogu, and Egypt artifacts. Hope visit it in the future.

Out of so many Okonomiyaki restaurants around tokyo Sometaro is a foreign friendly place few minutes away from the main tourist area of Asakusa. It is an old gem and is in buisness since 1937 and nothing much has changed here in the last few decades, including the availability of air-conditioning. It can be hot inside in summer and to deal with table fans are used, with cold towels provided upon arrival. Going inside you feel a mixedup atmosphere with Japanese and foreign customers present showing that it is popular with both locals and tourists. They have an English menu with pictures that makes ordering much easier. If you’re not familiar with cooking okonomiyaki on by yourself, you can either follow the instructions provided or ask your server to show you how when the ingredients arrive. Menu have vegetarian or seafood option too if you have to avoid meat. overall good taste with a vintage Japanese feeling.

Went there slightly around 6, was mostly empty. Needed to remove shoes as it was a traditional looking Japanese seating which made the experience nice. Service was exceptional. Food was decent.

Authentic okonomiyaki place. Traditional taste, not many variation on the menu. Good price. Has English menu and the staff is friendly. You can either cook it yourself or ask the staff for assistant. Nice local experience if you pass by this neighborhood.

I had searched a bunch of okonomiyaki places around Asakusa and this stood out in the search results. Sometarō is a tiny old eatery tucked amidst all that is new around it. I was there have lunch by myself and their staff welcomed me and helped me out pick something from their menu. They have a menu entirely in English if you don’t know Japanese. You get to make your own okonomiyaki and the lady even helped me out with it. Definitely something to experience and worth visiting if you’re in the mood for some okonomiyaki.

Very cool place to eat and experience. They are clear that the restaurant will get warm so be prepared. Otherwise, good food at a good price with a very unique experience.

A really good traditional style Okonomiyaki restaurant near the main sights in Asakusa. You cook it yourself on the teppan, which was quite fun, but daunting for the people who hadn't done it before. The chefs will help you if you get stuck. Good, tasty food, and well priced. Other choices like Yakisoba available and vegetarian options. You have to sit on the floor, Japanese style, which may not be for everyone. Overall, recommend highly and will go back! Oishii!

It's the best place for those who are looking for a sea food . The ambience and the traditional Okonomiyaki that i eat here was so delicious and authentic . Must give it a try !!

The okonomiyaki was soo good. There a lot of varieties of okonomiyakis to choose from. And the restaurant was Japanese styled (washoku).

Perfectly passable ramen options for tired shoppers. Not a destination restaurant, however. Double-yolk egg looked interesting. Kinda cramped and no one talked or even smiled while we were there. Biggest plus: vegan bowl option.

Zaru ramen was amazing!!! It's so refreshing and I couldnt get enough of it!!! the broth was absolutely gloriousand flavourful with textures of perfectly crisp bamboo and tender pork. Though there is a long queue, I did not feel pressured to eat fast, I really enjoyed this meal!!!

I am so glad it is still open, I was worried it will close due Covid. :S I will definitely visit it in February. I like the citrus ramen, the snappy noodles and the gyoza is the perfect side for it. Definitely recommended. Thank you for making this delicious ramen, this my all time fav in Tokyo!

Great location and amazing staff. Ramen is very average. The shoyu ramen came with eggs that were over cooked and the broth did not have much flavor. The guiozas are big and very stuffed but I did not love the texture.

This ramen restaurant was decent, but nothing particularly special. Good broth: The broth for the ramen was decent and flavorful, which was a plus. Service was really fast as well, waited only 5 minutes for our bowls which was nice. Generous portions: The ramen portions were quite large and filling, which made the meal feel like a good value. Nice and hearty meal with the fam. The staff were polite and helpful when we arrived, guiding us to our seats and providing us with menus. They took our orders promptly and efficiently, and our food arrived in a timely manner. Throughout the meal, they checked on us regularly to ensure that we had everything we needed and that our meal was satisfactory. They were also happy to answer any questions we had about the menu or the restaurant. Overall, we found the customer service to be good and it added to the positive experience we had at the restaurant. Overall, while this ramen restaurant was decent, I don't think I would go out of my way to visit again. Decent experience and very generous portions for the price.

Located near sensoji temple. The place feels authentic. Small cozy place. Services are good and the staffs are nice. Their ramen tasted unique. It has a clean broth taste with a hint of yuzu. They also use an egg with double yolk. Their gyozas are crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. One of the best ramen i have ever tasted.

Delicious ramen and heavenly gyoza! The place is a bit hidden, but it's very close to the Asakusa Shrine; it's a small typical Japanese place, the local kind of "fast food" restaurant offering best quality fresh (!!) meals in a really practical way (nobody hangs around for more than 30 minutes). We loved it!

Form a line at 11am. It fills up, small restaurant they let you in one at a time. So cool, friendly and delicious ramen, get the number 8. They serve cold water no napkins but there is a box of tissues 🤔 so I used those. Excellent and affordable and filling! Great place to eat after visiting Senso Ji Temple in Asakusa Tokyo

Have to admit, the noodles and broth were really good and wait time wasn't too long on a weekend. While the double yolked egg was cool, the egg yolk was overcooked and tasted really average.

A tiny local-looked alike ramen shop. Yen is cheap relatively at this point of time this food there is reasonably priced. Ramen soup is so rich that you couldn’t complain. We spent around 3,700 yen with 3 people.

4 stars for foods and 3.5 stars for service. This is one of the best restaurants in Japan. Established over a century. Recommended for everyone. $$$+

Wonderful place with a cool old school vibe where you sit on the floor and enjoy your meal and you can see everyone doing the same thing. It feels so communal and relaxing to just chill on the floor, kick back and have some small eels. The food is great, the small eel is nice and tender but it definitely is not as fatty as normal eels. As a result, this meal doesn’t fill you up as much, making it very easy to order a lot more or eat just enough so that you can go somewhere else after. Give this place a try if you are ever in the area of Asakusa!

This restaurant is specialized for meals made wit loaches. They may look ugly but when you would get used to eat them they taste delicious and allow eaters to feel gaining stamina. I recommend you to toss tons of long onion and follow instructions of restaurant’s staff. They serve us a set of traditional meals of Do era.

Asakusa’s 駒形どぜう (Komakata Dozeu) is a restaurant founded in 1801 and devoted to dishes created using どぜう or pond loach, a sea creature eaten around Asia, but as far as I know, not common in the US except apparently as an aquarium fish. It was my second time this trip consuming the beast, and while it looks somewhat disturbing, I liked it well enough. I found the atmosphere festive, the dining room a vast expanse of tatami with wooden “tables” a few inches off the ground running the length of the room, and servers all wearing kimono. We had their two most popular dishes, どじょう鍋 (dojou nabe), which cooks over a charcoal brazier in front of you as you continually add green onion, and 柳川鍋 (Yanagawa pot), dojou in sweet egg sauce that gradually hardens as you eat.

Without seeing any menu card I decided directly I wanted to visit this restaurant once, only because the way they present the food. Apparently it's an old style of serving food you won't find a lot in Japan anymore. Worth a visit I would say. We took the Dozeu Nabe with the small fish (whole fish of fillet are available to choose from) and the version with the whale. You have to fill up the pan on the top with the sauce to prevent it from cooking dry. The fish were good, the whale quite disappointing. Rubber I would say. Regardless, the food is full of flavour and the setting in the restaurant is nice. Be prepared to sit on the floor, cause that's how it goes over here:) Don't come if you are low on budget.

Long established restaurant, one large tatami room (and maybe 2 tables). We ate Dojo but there are many other dishes on the menu

Old-school bar and dining room. Denki-bran, the house hooch, is herbal and on the sweet side. Pairs well with both the fried food options and nikomi. Tap beer is also fresh. On the first floor, you order and pay at the register, then find a seat and hand your drink and food tickets to the server. It can get crowded, so do a quick snoop around to make sure there's room for you or your party, or be prepared to stand/hover for a bit. You may well end up sitting with strangers and shooting the (booze-soaked) breeze.

Cheap beer and sake. Hang out with the "local salarymen (サラリーマン) as they head home from work. Make sure you try the legendary house fortified wine "DenkiBran" and buy a bottle or two to take home as a gift. It's dirt cheap and the ONLY place in the world you can buy it. You pre-purchase all of your drinks when you enter, find a table, and then hand over your pre-paid drink coupons to a waiter when you want your next beverage. Great system :-) Lively atmosphere but, in classical Tokyo style, the indoor cigarette smoke is something that can get pretty annoying.

Don’t let the 1980’s decor and middle-aged to elderly clientele fool you - Kamiya is a great place to get good but inexpensive comfort foods and drinks, right in the middle of the touristy area. We went upstairs which was calmer and appropriate for families. The downstairs bar appeared to be the popular choice. Beers are large and relatively cheap - the small is the size of a large in a typical restaurant. Large is 1000 ml (1100 ml special now) for only ¥1120

This 1880 bar, one of Tokyos first if not the first is a MUST VISIT. The Denki Bran brandy is an original from opening times and everyone here drinks it. Get a beer and brandy as a traditional drink. Bathroom is good and though so busy service is nice. You have to come in get your seat and then go up to order. The waiter will come by soon. This place is cult, no doubt! Only the address, Asakusa 1-1-1! This restaurant has been in business since 1880! Famous for his "cocktail" Denki Bran. With ¥ 270 per drink, it is cheaper than a cup of coffee! Yoshoku style dishes is being served here. The food is good but the portions are just too small for what you pay for. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Only a few Western tourists come here and that's pretty amazing because it's right on the Asakusa Temple. But so are tourists, come, take some photos of the temple (because everyone does) and go on.

"Old school" bar and pub/restaurant. One of the oldest, if not the oldest Western style pub in Tokyo. Cash only, no reservations. Stake out a table, return to the cashier/reception, order and pay for the food, and go wait at your table for it to arrive. This is the system on the first floor where it's more like a pub. Word is that 2F is mostly Western foods, and 3F is mostly Asian Foods. I think they're different, but maybe not necessarily better. Photos to come.

A Tokyo classic ! It's actually a beer hall and not a bar, my top choice for a drink and some nibbles when I am in Asakusa. Excellent service, decent food, very few tourists. The signature drink is “ Denki Bran”, a spirit that tastes like a mixture of gin and brandy with a dash of furniture polish. For beginners: 1 reserve a seat, 2 queue at the cashier and buy tickets for your first round of drinks and food, 3 after you are seated you can order and pay directly at the table, no need to buy further tickets at the cashier. Cash only. Update April 2023: Inflation has arrived at Kamiya bar, price increase by about 10%. A small handful of Edamame for 600 Yen, c'mon!

The food was so good. The burger was sumptuous. The Thai Shrimp with Chili was magnificent as well. It's just pricey, but understand that you're paying for a good quality of food. Since it is located just outside the Ueno Central Exit Station, loud noises are expected.

I had a deconstructed stewed pork burger, more popularly known as pulled pork. It wasn’t anything stellar, but it was big and it came with crunchy fries for a hefty 1700 + The personnel, specifically the Canadian-Japanese head waiter was excellent. He regularly dropped by to check on the experience of my visiting foreigner friends (no Nihingo). The Fish and Chips were meh, according to them though, and the salad never came, so be sure to make the wait staff repeat the order. If American food at this fare, I would rather go to Fridays about 150m away. They have better burger sets, that is they came with drink. Hard Rock was more about the vibe and the fans, if you miss that. I love the music. There is the Hard Rock Shop adjacent, if you’re a collector. 😜

I usually don't give bad reviews, but this one has to be noted. Expecting good service and food especially from a US chain, it doesn't matter what country, I thought the service was a very big disappointment at the Uneo station location. All the food came out as expected, however, when my wife's dish came, she ordered a chicken burger, half way through her meal, she bit into an area of the chicken the texture tasted a bit like rubber. The meat looks cooked, but I suspect the rubber texture was probably from uneven cooking. I had to try it, and it didn't even taste like meat, rubber and then crumble as you crew it.. I had to split it out.. that is not meat!! We asked the waitress to look at it, oddly she took the dish back and not sure what she did and came back with an explanation from the chef saying "...in some areas of the chicken it might be tougher". She gave our dish back. I was already mad. I've tasted chicken all my life and I know what the texture of each part of the chicken would be like, however, she apologized.. it ended there.. Again, disappointed, no resolution was offered. She did say that she will replace it but will be charged a second time. Like what?.. I am not sure if this is a custom in Japan but when food tasted bad or returned you let your customer suffer? In Canada/US, when the food is taken back, it gets replaced no questions ask. Or that at least the meal gets removed from the bill as a courtesy or at least something in returned. I'm not out to get a free meal, just a fair service. So, the manager or chef should of came out and talk to us face to face and explain their theory. None of that was done. This chicken burger wasn't cheap, at least 2,000 yen, $18 CAD. I'm not complaining about the price, but the value of that high price burger you should get top quality food and service, especially from a big chain, however, that fell very short. I hope the Hard Rock franchise in Japan will read this review and learn from this. With this experience, I will never recommend this to any of my friends, nor I will return ever again to any Hard Rock Cafe... Absolutely Horrible!!!

Good, but not great. It was nice to see a Hard Rock Cafe on our way back from Ueno. It was even nicer to see NACHOS on the menu! I haven't had nachos since I left Las Vegas in November! The chips were nice and crunchy, and the nachos had plenty of cheese. They even came with guacamole and sour cream, which was also nice. Unfortunately, even though they were piled high with jalapeños, they just weren't spicy! There was something strangely sweet about them, and that didn't sit well with me. My wife noticed it too, and we surmised it was from the cheese.....but even the jalapeños could have had a bit more bite. These things being said, this place was very decent, and the waitresses were very attentive. My only complaint was the authenticity of the "Mexican food".

This cafe is inside the station building. Their burgers are great and also nachos with chicken toppings were also good. It is a bit compact than other Hardrock cafe. It is usually crowded in the late afternoon and one might have to stand in the queue for a bit of time.

I visited here to enjoy the atmosphere of the Hard Rock Cafe, but crowds were quite loud and nobody listens music. Food was served hot, but it was way too salty.

Been a while since I ate at Hard Rock Cafe. Still food is good and much better than TGIF. Grilled salmon and nachos is delicious.

Food was pretty good but they kept delivering what we ordered to wrong tables first... Like you watch your nachos float past, put down on someone else's table, rejected, taken back to the counter, then delivered to us. Same with drinks.. Menu is a mess. Could we have like... all drinks in one section? Moldy smell, like an old mop, from time to time.... I have high expectations from Hard Rock cafes. This one is quite underwhelming...

Why are you eating american food in Japan? You know what? You made the right choice. Food is pricier than many other options in the surrounding area, but my god the food is better than it is back home in the west. How is that even possible? How is a HARD ROCK CAFE in japan superior to the ones in north america? Japan really is incredible. Anyways, if you just miss some really solid american food, this place was way better than I expected. 5 stars!
