Visited here our first day in Stockholm. Was super cool to see such a large ship on display inside. It really takes you by surprise when you first walk in! The amount of details in the ship is amazing. And to think how old it is and how long it spent underwater… Bought tickets on site and didn’t wait in any line. My only complaint is the lighting. It seems very dim which makes it difficult to see the details and interior. I don’t know if it’s due to the preservation but brighter lights would be more beneficial. Even adding some lights inside the ship would make it easier to see inside when you’re looking through the open areas. I like how there’s several different levels to see the various angles. It wasn’t too crowded inside which was nice and there was a lot of history and reading on other parts. All in all, it was a great time spending a couple hours here and I recommend it to others!

This is an amazing place. Such a wow factor as soon as you walk in the door, the ship is right there. Displays are easy to see and read, the floor plan is well laid out. The movie is shown in many languages multiple times a day so you can easily see it at some point during your visit. There's an audio tour that's also a text tour, using your own device. The great thing about this is that you can use it at any time before, during or after your visit so if you want to only concentrate on what's in front of you at the museum. Staff was so friendly and helpful with information. The museum is easily reached from public transportation. I felt that this was something I absolutely couldn't leave Sweden without seeing. Incredible!

Great museum with an actual ship for scale and details of the how the inside looked in the walk through. Kids 5 years and older enjoyed it because they can touch stuff in the walk through. Also a nice video explaining how it sank and the restoration process. Definitely a good excursion to try out.

Good museum, entry is free if you have the city pass. You can spend anywhere from 10 minutes to 1.5 hours here depending on how you want to visit. The ship itself is very impressive. There are lots of things to read up on, including details from the ship. There is also a room showing a film about the history of the museum which is really handy if you didn't come with a tour guide. The film is shown in different languages with a timetable outside. There are some really nice things to buy in the gift shop which are reasonably priced for the quality. There are a lot of unisex toilets on site.

A must for any touristic visit to Stockholm! It was like being in a Pirates of the Caribbean movie witnessing The Black Pearl live in the flesh. Just magnificent craftsmanship, and the details and sheer scale of the warship is unbelievable. Great exhibition full of history, with many useful and interesting facts. Try to book a guide and get on board the vessel for the full experience.

One of the most beautiful museums i have ever seen (and i have seen many). This museum is built on top and around the Vasa ship, and it's about the ship (the history and the story of how it was built, by whom and the purpose, and the story of the people that had to do with it and those who died when the ship sank) . I was amazed by the stories and the size of the ship. The ship is entirely in this museum and you hardly have a chance to see a ship like this anywhere else. I have spent 4-5h here and got to visit the city just to see this ship and the museum. I recommend sincerely - this is not to miss when visiting the city. I hope many will see this ship in the following centuries.

I am not a huge fan of museums but this museum is just fantastic. You can learn about the history of this ship, the effort it took to rescue and restore it, the ongoing effort to conserve it for the future and much more. There are info displays everywhere or you can join free tours in English and other languages. You can spend easily 2 hours or more here. The ship is absolutely impressive and huge!

This was our favourite museum amongst all of those we visited during our trip to scandinavia! Amazingly interesting. You could easily spend over 3 hours here. The film at the start was a good introduction. Loads of see and learn for the price!

Top 3 things to see/do while you're in Stockholm. Great place to spend a few hours. One of the only preserved ships from the 1600s, the sheer size and quality of this is extremely impressive. Well worth the cost for entry. Compared to its Viking Ship counterpart in Oslo, Norway...I would have to say this museum is even better. (Even if there are roughly 800 years separating the 2)

Amazing exhibition with super great views of the Vasa boat. The interactive built around this vessel is truly world class. It includes everything from a life size replica of cabin where crew slept to a steer the ship experience. The way things were highlighted was exceptional and I felt like I learned a lot about the history. Be sure to visit the cute little garden outside, too!

I swear, this is the best thing I have done when visiting Stockholm, I have no regrets. It's such a funky little museum - I was in awe seeing all the iconic original costumes worn by Abba as well as all the cool photo opportunities we had. The Abbatar experience was also fun, getting to pretend you were in the band. It's a very interactive museum, with a guided audio tour and lots of things to do. There were also lockers to keep your stuff in when walking around the museum.

Must see place in Stockholm. The museum is not extremely detailed or fascinating, though it does give a good intro to ABBA. It’s very small. The entrance and exit are the same, so it can get crowded easily. There are many interactive experiences, though some of them are broken. There are also many on-stage items that could be easily worth thousands or millions of dollars in auctions. A decent place that could’ve been better.

I had the most beautiful time. Got there just in time for them to be allowing the 4:30 folks in. Museum closes at 6. It was very very cool as I grew up on this group along with the B-Gees and others. Wishing they had some more variety of t-shirts for souvenirs also the magnets. It was awesome and I’m still smiling, dancing and singing. Thank you ABBA!

Cool museum, even if not necessarily an ABBA fan. Plus they even have a whole section dedicated to Mama Mia! with dresses and artifacts. It was a good time! Be aware that parking is very limited, and can be a walk. Take local transport if able.

I walked in as someone who generally liked ABBA, and I walked out as a super fan of them. The museum does a really good job at not only portraying their life and accomplishments as a band, but also walks you through each of their individual lives before, during, and after ABBA. Their creative process, the development of their style and writing, how their videos were recorded and much more are also explored here. It is all scattered in a very creative way throughout this museum.

A must see landmark for Stockholm. If you arrive early the line is workable but after 11 am there's usually a long line. The museum contains great materials and memorabilia along with media clips that make the visit very dynamic. You can easily get involved and it's a very practical experience to learn more about the group. Plan to spend at least 90 minutes. I would have given a 5 star but the space is a bit tight for such a large crowd and then the museum is mostly underground which is a bit odd.

Brilliant, brilliant museum. What a trip down Memory Lane and see the iconic Abba outfits .... magic. Great stuff for all ages, sing karaoke, dance with a hologram. Good experience

The best place ever. Was here in 2013 and loved it then. When i knew i was returning to Sweden from Australia to visit my friend down the south, we decided a trip to Stockholm was vital and the Abba museum was first on our list. Well it was even better the second time. We spent nearly 2 and a half hours there reading and watching things an participating in the fun activities . Highly recommend. We even decided to stay in the hotel attached to it. Wonderful.

This is a wonderful museum telling the history of the band Abba. The exhibitions are amazing and a great tribute to a great musical group. They do a good job telling the story of the members and then showing their time together and their post Abba works. There are a lot of interactive areas to let you song, dance and also a virtual giggle flight in a helicopter flying over the Archipelago’s showing where some of their hits were written. If you have some time while in Stockholm and enjoy music you need to visit this place.

Abba, at some point in time it used to be my favorite band, around 20 years ago. The music is still lively. This place has been setup nicely, but definitely not worth the price we paid for a family of 4.

This is the best Museum I have ever been to. Walking in dancing out, is the slogan, and this is how it really is 💃🏽🕺🏻. The emotions are Big, Reading the stories of the members of the band, they share personal views, you can sing on stage with ABBA, Go in to a room and Dance to ABBA Music with strangers choosing your Own favorite songs, goose bumps and a little tear is mandatory in this museum, i love it and must Go again 🕺🏻💃🏽🇸🇪🥳🥳❤️❤️

Absolutely amazing! The museum was filled with great photographs and had 2 floors so it wasn’t overwhelming to see everything. The exhibitions were very well organized. The museum also had an entrance floor lunch area with a very nice scenic view as well as a roof floor. Loved the building and the atmosphere of the interior as well as the view. Definitely worth a visit. The shop was also amazing with so many books and posters to buy.

Half of the exhibitions were interesting and worth a visit, but it was way overpriced. Visit only if the money is a non issue, or if you absolutely love photography. Definitely not for a general public.

One of the renowned photography museums in the port/Södermalm area of Stockholm. The museum was currently exhibiting 4 exhibitions which we took roughly an hour to go through. I really enjoyed the Pet Show exhibition. Make sure to check out the photo booth on Level 1. The museum also houses a Michelin star restaurant - unfortunately did not have a chance to experience it this time.

Fotografiska is the best art gallery in Stockholm. It's not cheap to visit, but the exhibitions and artists are always way above par, everything is impeccably curated, the building is outstanding and the location is spectacular. The views from the top-floor restaurant are unbeatable. Highly recommend.

Our experience was a bit average. I guess the experience hugely depends on the collection at the time of visit. I was expecting a lot more from a photography museum than just the showcase of the work of some really big and celebrated photographers. For me, most of the work lacked either story or imagination but again, maybe we visited at the wrong time.

The photos exhibitions are amazing. The experience on the restaurant was interesting but isn't breathtaking or amazingly good. The good side was the wine menu that has the perfect combination with the served dishes. Beside that is just overpriced food.

Great experience, ground floor is well built by decade and the set up makes time flying, very entertaining! The temporary exhibition was original and quite interesting. Big plus for being open late in the evening giving a chance to visit after working hours. However we couldn’t find any info on opening hours of the restaurant despite we heard from friends the food is very good, but we didn’t get the chance to try it ourselves as it looked being closed at 9.30pm.

Astonishing experience at Fotografiska. We took the guided tour with Karim and it was worth every minute - he took us to the depth of each exhibition making our visit so much richer and different. Beautiful & unique building, with a gorgeous restaurant at the top. A must try in Stockholm.

Caught the Terry O'Neil and Andy Warhol exhibits at the Fotografiska. Fantastic art space, with the building right in the Södermalm Island. This is a treat, especially for photography fans.

Mainly interesting to claim you’ve been to the place where the Novel price dinners are held, which has a nice background explanation. Beyond that, it is a collection of very disjointed rooms, in very random design styles. They give you a pitch about how that was intentional, but it still looks just weird. The staff giving the English tour are very nice and knowledgeable

City hall is one of the most notable building for its architecture in Stockholm.There is a river Infront of the city hall.The view is very beautiful.So many photographers used to visit here and spend time often.You can enter the courtyard for free and you can spend as much time you want.For guided tours separate charges have to be paid.They will conduct a tour inside the building for 45 minutes.Students and researchers were also used to visit here often.

The Stockholm City Hall is really worth a visit with the guided tour. The building designs a really beautiful and exceptionally beautiful with the fall foliage on the exterior of the buildings. Our English tour guide, Chris, was very informative and gave a really detailed and interesting tour of the building and the various function rooms in the building. We really enjoyed our visit.

Wow wow wow wow wow! Visit the City Hall now. It is incredible. Room after room of jaw-dropping beauty. The guided-tours are excellent.

Amazing architecture. Paid guided tours. Can learn a lot about Swedish history. Also inside are amazing art pieces of wall painting. The Blue Hall where the Nobel prize dinner is held. But also the graduation 🎓 ceremonies of Stockholm university and Royal Institute of Technology. You can get inspired here. Also can get merried in 10 min ceremony. You should spent 2 h to visit.

Stockholm City Hall was built between 1911 and 1923 in National Romantic style by swedish architect Ragnar Östberg. It is possible to visit the building with a guided tour that costs 130 SEK and lasts about 45 minutes. The two highlights of the building are the Blue Hall, in which the Nobel Prize banquet takes place every year on the 10th of December, and the wonderful Golden Hall, covered in majestic mosaics.

Absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful views of Gamla Stan and just so relaxing to sit on a warm sunny day. I have never toured the inside but walking the grounds is worth it.

Astounding view from the lakeside, the hall itself is also a work of art. The view from the Tower is probably one of the best (if not the best) in the whole Stockholm.

Very grateful to the Royal Family of Sweden for sharing a portion of their life to the public. It's nice to see the beautiful interiors of the palace and the opulence that goes with it. It's good to have a guide like Irene when visiting the palace as you you'll hear the stories and event history for each room / space inside. Grateful for the opportunity to see how royals live in the modern society. Had a quick glance of the changing of the guards as well. Very impressed.

I really like this palace. Not as outlandish as many other royal European palaces but much more attractive than the one in Copenhagen. Lots of history to be gained by going to this place. Don't disregard the jubilee section of it while it is an extra pay, it is worth it. .

A must for any touristic visits to Stockholm. Even though the entrance is a bit hard to find, the pathfinding is worth the effort. Such beautiful interior and lots of historical value. It's amazing to walk around corridors and rooms that are actually in use by the royal family presently. The custodians are very helpful and seemed delightful to enlighten us in answering any questions we might have.

This is one stop that you probably shouldn't skip if you're in Stockholm, especially if you're trying to learn about their culture and history. Every room of the palace is a piece of art that tells a different story, from the paintings, sculptures, and wall decor, to the garments, pins and flags that have been made over the decades. A cool detail is that the Sweden still utilizes the palace to celebrate certain events, so it serves multiple purposes. Genuinely an impressive and massive architecture inside and out. We didn't have to wait in line to buy the tickets or get into the palace, but you can buy those online if you're interested. The palace itself takes a good amount of time to get around, especially if you're into Sweden's history and culture, around 2-3 hours and maybe even more.

The royal palace is quite stunning, especially on the inside. To be honest, the exterior doesn't look too impressive or sophisticated. However, there is a lot to explore inside this magnificent building. As far as the interior is concerned, I enjoyed its Baroque style decor. It feels similar to other Northern and Central European Imperial palaces. Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting it. A true gem with rich history.

With the general admission ticket you can roam the underground museum of the palace history as well as the Royal Apartments which I highly recommend checking out. Make sure to also see the changing of the Royal Guard at 12:15 pm daily. 1:15pm on Sundays.

Simply great. Actually it's several visits. The royal jewels, the flats and the armoury. It is surprising that the flats are still in use (although recent visitors have declined the honour and gone to the hotel). Booked a couple of hours for the visit ... When booking you have to choose a time for the visit and there is only one hour of flexibility.

Great place to visit to see lots of history and beautiful interior architecture. Takes about two hours to fully immerse yourself! To get in though takes a bit of guessing in the courtyard go to the right and follow your nose!

The Royal Palace in Stockholm is an absolute must-visit attraction that oozes grandeur and history. The Royal Palace also houses several museums, each offering a rich display of art, artifacts, and royal collections. The Treasury, in particular, showcases an impressive array of crown jewels and regal treasures that truly exemplify the nation's heritage.

As name stated it is Royal Palace. We have visited on National day and the palace is huge and has too many things to do. Best this is to visit royal rooms and sculpture museum and arms museum. Rooms are royally decorated. During weekend it gets a but crowded and specially during any occasion such as national day. There are royal guards at every doors and also there are change of guards happening everyday which is quite a site to watch. Royal palace is well connected with public transport. Nearest station is Bus stop and train station is 5-10 min walk. It is wheelchair friendly however during crowd it is tough. There are many other places near by to see and have some coffee and fika.

One of the most beautiful Royal Palaces i have ever seen. Of course each royal palace is beautiful, but some of them attract your eye with so much detail in the decorations that amaze you. I loved each room and the ceiling decorations are amazing. The chandeliers and tapestry are very beautiful. This is a must see royal palace when visiting the city.

Great great great spot for a proper Swedish experience and food. Tucked away in an old part of one of the islands, it's in a very cute area. If you go after sun set the streets are cutely lit and it feels like you have gone back in time. Expect to wait in a queue. You can not book a table and it's a very popular spot. The staff are great! So friendly and helpful, and very efficient! The menus is a VERY classic Swedish selection and it tastes DEVINE! its a TINY restaurant with about 7 or 8 tables so no space for an open or or a high chair but you can have your child on your lap between you on one of the bench seats if you have one like we did. The dishes are great but there is no veg. The pork cheek was lots of pork (which is great) but packed some veg. All in all we would definitely come back!

Great food and service. It is a very small restaurant with warm atmosphere. Has limited seating due to size of the restaurant. Don't go there if you are in a hurry to get somewhere else afterwards since it is almost impossible not to wait to be seated. We've enjoyed both the food and the friendly service.

I had read the reviews before checking this place out and I definitely agree it's cozy and relaxed. My dinner was absolutely divine. I had the meatball dish/meal with a rhubarb& vanilla lemonade. Would definitely recommend this place. Its small but worth it. Luckily I was dinning alone, so got a seat right away. The service is good as they leave you to enjoy the experience of the restaurant and glorious food

Fantastic service, lovely food. Loved the pickled herring and moose starter followed by the pork cheek and meatballs. Only room for 1 sweet, a fantastic sponge cake. Highly recommended.

Small quaint restaurant. No reservations as it’s first come first serve, which is great because it gives you a sense that the restaurant is never available to seat walk ins. The food was delicious! Swedish meatballs were so tasty and meaty and flavorful. The pork cheek was unbelievably tender and also tasty. Great mashed potatoes. We also had the reindeer salad as an appetizer which was also nice! Great Swedish flavors here!

Only a few days here in Stockholm, and I can confidently say this restaurant was and will be the best one during our stay. Food was amazing. From starter, to main course, and even the dessert. Service was exceptional as well. Very friendly/accommodating staff. Highly recommend!

There are all of about 10 tables in this restaurant, and it is done in a way that's doesn't feel crammed into a small space. If I could have ordered 1 of everything on the menu, I would have. The meatballs are great, pork cheeks melt when you touch them with a fork, and the starter mushroom & cheese salad is my new favorite thing. Not to mention, my new summer drink will be a Sweden Spritz. If you haven't had one, you're missing out.

Small restaurant in center of Stockholm serving traditional local dishes. Simple dishes of salmon and potatoes and Swedish meatballs but deliciously made. Many locals and tourists. Worth a visit. No reservations taken so you have to wait. Best is to go off peak hours.

Fantastic authentic Swedish food right around the corner from the royal palace. The mushroom cream cheese is very decadent, they frame it as a feature of a salad when in fact it's a large portioned dip (would split one order of it with two people, but had no problem finishing it myself). I also ordered their classic sausage served with potatoes in a cream gravy and pickled beets. Next time I'd love to try their meatballs and see how they compare to the sausage - both looked absolutely incredible. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the drink selection is vast! This is a must visit for people visiting Stockholm for the first time in search of local fare.

This was a charming restaurant and the owners were remarkable! The atmosphere is cozy, quiet, and homy and the location is great. Our food was out promptly and beautifully plated. Stockholm’s Gästabud offered some of the best food we’ve tried during our Stockholm trip. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Such a great place for gastronomic delight and very friendly staff too. We ordered the pickled herring which was amazing, the perfect combination of sweet and sour combined with the salty bits of the cheese served with it. Deer salad is a must for swedish experience and for mains we had the pork cheeks- melts in your mouth goodness. We also had the salmon which is cooked to perfection. For dessert we had the sponge cake- highly recommended. Probably the best restaurant in Stockholm.

Really authentic and delicious local food! The host was very kind to accept us late into the night (we had just arrived to Stockholm) and was very gracious in explaining all the dishes - we had the meatballs and dumplings for mains and herring for starters-the bread was especially good and the meatballs and herring were so yummy! A delightful traditional Swedish restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden. Although not obvious on the menu the three styles of herring is amazing and unique. Try to aquavit - everyone has a different preference. We really enjoyed the Swedish meatballs and the potato dumplings stuffed with pork. The browned butter sauce made the potato dumplings fantastic! The service staff is professional and very polite. Free wifi with good signal!

Super restaurant in the center of Stockholm. The atmosphere is really cozy and the service is excellent. The food... excellent. Traditional Swedish dishes, very well made and presented. A must if you want traditional foods. We had the potato dumplings with pork and moose steak. Yum!

Incredible!!! We went on a whim because another place recommended just down the street was too busy. And oh my goodness, so glad we went here. The food was absolutely amazing. Service was also friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly too. Would highly recommend!

Would definitely come again, the beef tartar is fantastic. We also ordered Swedish meatball and veal steak, all tasty. Very close to the royal palace and enough space to enjoy a fine meal. Our girls also finished their portion, said “yummy”. And a lovely note in the toilet 😂😂

Tradition is a great spot to dine if you're looking for traditional Swedish cuisine. It was recommended in my Phaidon Wallpaper Guide tour book for Stockholm and I typically trust their carefully selected restaurant picks. Prices were decent - expensive, but in line with most mid to upper tier restaurants in Sweden. As Stockholm has really become so cosmopolitan in terms of dining options, the first few times I visited, I wanted to try "traditional" Swedish cuisine, but really struggled to find good options. Tradition fills that void nicely and I'll definitely go back anytime I'm in the city.

Restaurant is true to name. Authentic carefully prepared cuisine. We shared Swedish meatballs and dumplings. Small wine menu but pairings are quite good. Lovely atmosphere in old town. Recommend going early gets busy at dinner hour.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Stockholm. The atmosphere was really authentic, and really reflected the Viking culture of Sweden. The staffs were super super friendly helpful. The foods were good with the price. I love the Aifur beer. Definitely will come back in the future.

If anyone wants to feel like they've had an authentic Viking experience, this is the restaurant to go to. Book early as if you walk in, you may only get a seat in the bar, and that's still a big maybe. If I could have ordered one of everything on the menu, I would, but the feast with almost all the meat options was amazing. Don't miss out on the beer, grogg, and mead or the story's in the back of the menu, which all the meal selections are based on.

VIKING BAR!!! This is hands down one of best experiences of Stockholm city. Located in the city center there’s this cozy places that serves foods and drinks in Viking style. People are publicly announced to their tables, beer is served in handmade pottery cups and food is to be eaten with viking cutlery. Atmosphere and people were great. Live music is performed every once in a while and there are fun games in between courses

This place was not just a great and special experience, but also the food was extremely tasty! The meat was melting in my mouth, very soft, juicy and delicious. It was just Wow! And of course the atmosphere is fantastic. Like you are a part of a big viking party!

Absolute crazy place you have to visit as a tourist. They seat you in this big hall, treat you like vikings, announce any newcomers to everyone and you can hold a sword during your dinner. More practically, the experience was amazing and very surprising but the waitresses were super swamped and after about halfway our meal it became impossible to order any new drinks nor could we get the bill. I asked 3 separate employees, who all said we needed to ask someone else but among these were the waitresses meant to be taking orders. Eventually, we just walked to the bar and paid and did not have any other drinks. I really hated that such a magical experience ended in this unpleasant way. For food, we had Roland's Feast platter, which is a shared dish with several types of meat and a big bowl of veggies. The veggies were a mix of bell peppers and some root, but i would have liked to see some potato or otherwise carbs. Furthermore, the fork you are given is really funny and works mostly well for meat but is terrible to eat the veggies with. The meat was good, with a mix of (we guess) chicken, pork and beef. Lastly, the drinks: they serve mead here, which is dark ages honey wine. This was incredible and delicious bit kind the price of about €45,- per bottle. Beer is served in beautiful earthenware cups.

Have been to Aifur a couple of times and it has never failed to amaze me, weather its taking friends to experience the Viking atmosphere or just showing of to business partners what grande Stockholm has to over... From the moment you get there you are immersed into another world, music played with instruments long forgotten by present artists to mouthwatering dishes served to have you coming back for more. Love sharing the tables and meeting complete strangers and leaving friends...

If you're in Stockholm and looking for a really fantastic experience, Aifur is the place to be. The moment you step in, you're transported to a bygone era—in true Viking style! The setting is fantastic, super realistic, right down to the smallest details. The music, the waiters, the decor—everything is themed to perfection. The energy in the room is electrifying, and that's partly thanks to the "presenter" who announces each guest in a grand, welcoming fashion. It's a great experience that adds to the whole atmosphere. The bard also does a stellar job, getting everyone in the Viking spirit with some lively tunes. Now, let's talk food and drink. You come for the Viking experience, but you stay for the iconic food and MEAD! While the food is quite ok, it's the mead that steals the show—definitely tasty and worth a try. And don't worry about burning a hole in your wallet; the prices are not too high. A tip: this place fills out quick, so I'd highly recommend booking in advance to secure a spot. Loud but well-intentioned, this restaurant gives you the Viking experience you come for and doesn't disappoint.

Wander down the candlelit alleyway’s stairs for the experience of a lifetime! You can enjoy a mead, live music and authentic meal as if you were a Viking. We came on a winter weeknight, but it’s probably delightfully rowdy on the weekends during summer. The mussels were perfectly cooked in cream sauce with crusty bread and they were so filling, I almost couldn’t eat all of my impeccably smoked salmon. The live music inspired the soundtrack of the rest of our travels through Scandinavia. Aifur is definitely the highlight of our trip to Stockholm! Pro Tip: - Check their hours as they are closed on some days - If you don’t drink, order a non-alcoholic mead to enjoy from an earthenware clay jug!

This place is a must for any tourist! We booked a table for 3, had our Ragnar style introduction to everyone (The host blows a viking horn and announces your party in a hilarious way to all the restaurant!) The atmosphere is magical, all staff are very nice and helpful, finally, the food, mead and beer was just superb!

What an incredible place! I'd highly recommend booking in advance, this place fills out quick! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is the best we've ever seen. You sit beside random people and then a horn is blown for each person who enters announcing their name. The mead is delicious also. Highly recommended!

Really fantastic experience, in true Viking style, the setting is fantastic, super realistic, the music, the waiters, everything themed. Really incredible! The food is good, and the prices are not too high. The only note I make is that despite having booked I had to wait 15 minutes in line to get a table, but otherwise it was really a unique experience, I recommend it to everyone!

Fantastic food and lovely staff. I ate the casserole which in my opinion was a little salty but overall pleasant. My main issue would be the time it took from ordering to receiving my dish was rather long. Fantastic aside from that and I hope to return one day

Had a lovely solo meal here, thoroughly enjoyed the food! I had the 3 course set menu and would highly recommend! The flavours are fantastic and would definitely come back.

Pleasant restaurant in the city center. It’s quite popular so it might be hard to find a spot, we were lucky to get a table as some people were about to leave. The food is good, though my “warm” smoked salmon ended up being cold. Perhaps it’s just a cultural shock. Still, had a great time, the price was fair and the food felt healthy.

Good food (tender meat!) and friendly staff with good sense of humor. Had a lovely evening, and you really have to „kryp in” (crawl in) and watch your head if you are tall!

Absolutely delicious. Visited here last December. The food was very good quality, tasty, and service was wonderful. We were given a small basket of different breads and dips as an appetizer which allowed us to try some traditional Swedish food. The place was lovely and cosy, quite small inside but it added to the ambiance.

Good place to have a dinner. Not many choices, but you can order starters, soup, fish, reindeer, meatball, steak or others. Very good location in the middle of the city center. Service was good.

Over multiple meals, I tried a few of their dishes. All but one were fantastic, even that one dish had each component perfectly executed-together it just wasn’t my preference. Excellent service, the staff was really friendly, I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely food. Therefore I give 4 starta. We went there with our 3 children. The table was pre-booked and we expected a faster service. But we had to wait for more than 45 minutes to get our starters !!! That was too long to wait !!! However the rest of the courses followed well & in time & all were happy!

A very atmospheric restaurant in the heart of Old Town. Great food, great service, and wonderful atmosphere. Like all places in Old Town, the restaurant is expensive, but that is to be expected given the location. They have a great lunch and dinner menu which focuses on traditional Swedish meals. I can warmly recommend this place based on my experience there.

Very deep in character. Most of guests were in large groups or families- got very loud for a "cave" with curved ceilings :). We were given table in a walkway, somewhat separated, which was nice with time, as main rooms got louder. Food was nicely presented, was heavy and oversalted though. Main dishes are different meats and different ways made potatoes. I liked my desert!

You feel like you’re in your family house and having a peaceful dinner with your family. Very comfortable place and many options for dinner. Also, people were very helpful, warm and nice.

ONE OF THE BEST MEALS EVER HAD This is the oldest restaurant on Sweden so it could have been an absolute miss but we were blown away. Such a small menu means that everything was fantastic - I’m veggie so was slightly worried but wow Couldn’t recommend this more - what a find

Traditional and well established place with good but not excellent food. The price gives expectations and they fulfill the minimum of it.

Very impressed with our experience at this establishment. Warmly greeted, the menu explained and suggestions offered and accepted. Each dish was excellent although I confess that herring is not for me (but I'm glad I tried it). The setting is unique too, being in the lower basement levels of the houses above. Great, intimate atmosphere. If you want to try Swedish food in a fine-dining setting, you can't go wrong with this place.

Great experience in one of the oldest restaurants in the world. It is a gorgeous place with amazing food and a friendly staff. I am grateful to have been able to try this restaurant. I really recommend it

Very cool restaurant. Great food, awesome service. Small patio option but the inside of the restaurant is very unique. A little pricey but food was delicious. Able to make reservations online but we walked in and had no problem getting a seat.

Great place to eat at in Old Town with interesting flavours! The soup, moose carpaccio and deer were delicious. The fillet mignon could have been better. The sommelier was very helpful and provided us with great advice and stories.
