One of my favorite forts! This location has so many interesting places to walk around and check out throughout the whole fort as you learn so much from every place you look in! I managed to come in for free on National Park Day so definitely take advantage when it happens! Make sure to arrive on some days where they demonstrate a cannon launch! It’s an experience I would never forget! Definitely bring your national park stamp book if you have one to get the stamp!

This was amazing! The fort is so cool and preserved very nicely. The park rangers were happy to answer questions and sharing interesting tid bits. We have a park pass so we got in for free but I still think it would have been worth the price. Lighting was withing the 5 miles or whatever it is when we got in so we couldn't go to the top for a bit. We took our time on the ground level and read all the signs and explored the top as soon as it opened. I wish we could have gone on a night when they shoot the canons off. That would be such an amazing thing to see! I highly recommend going, you won't regret it.

A truly exceptional monument. The graffiti in the barracks alone are world class social history - Spanish sailors and soldiers, then US, and imprisoned Apaches too! Views are great. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The Firearms display is very well done.

What a treasure! The National Park Service has done a fantastic job to maintain and develop this 300+ year old monument to colonization history. Parking on the grounds is really cheap at 2.50 per hour. It took us 3 hours to see and enjoy everything. The admission was 15.00 per person BUT I used my senior pass and got in for free. Well worth the one time charge to visit all 400 national parks. You can get into many restored rooms and listen to the excellent stories from the park rangers.

If you visit just one place in St. Augustine it has to be Castillo de San Marcos National Monument. The history, the architecture, the location. It's spectacular. There is so much to see in every room and a lot of information to read about the history and the lives of the soldiers, prisoners, settlers, etc. The cannons are a work of art. Just to be around something that has been built in 1500-1600's and is still around is incredible. You can easily spend a couple of hours there. There is also a cute gift shop. There are a lot of volunteers that will gladly answer any questions you might have. I wish we had our kids with us, they would have loved to tour it.

This was a very neat place to visit. It’s huge and there’s lots to do and see here. You can’t come to St. Augustine and skip this attraction. Do be prepared for lots of walking, and big crowds to be around. We weren’t there a single day that there wasn’t a massive crowd. I recommend getting there early in the morning to get in line for tickets.

Stopped at this gem on the way back from Orlando. Ended up being my favorite thing on the trip by far. The ambiance of the landmark is spot on. The beautiful, light-blue water coupled with the local Florida wildlife makes for a great sight. In addition to that, the preservation and appreciation for history makes you feel like you’re in the time period. They even fly the Spanish flag - accurate to the period of its founding. The landmark also provides excellent information to truly educate about the fort’s history and founding. You also have quite a bit of freedom to explore; most rooms you can look around and (the best part) you can walk on top of the fortifications.

This place is awesome and great to see where it all started for Central and South America countries and Florida. It is a Federal Monument so Veterans are free along with 4 guests. Parking in Augustine can be a challenge, unless you park in the free public parking garage across the street and it is still within walking distance to everything. It's a tourist area but the shops and restaurants are really good and there are plenty of them. It is a beautiful area!!

This past weekend my boyfriend and I decided to come to st.Augustine for the weekend so I could show him all my favorite places. The Castillo was number one on this list. We both love history, so I knew he’d fall in love with the place as soon as he saw it. I honestly think it exceeded his expectations. He’s already planning for our next trip back! Aside from it being a magnificent pierce of history, it also helped that all of the staff and the rangers at the fort were so kind and helpful, and it really made an impact on him. He was stunned at how informative everyone was and how genuine everyone seemed.. I explained to him that St.Augustine isn’t like all the other “touristy” places. Especially not the Castillo de San Marcos. People here genuinely love this town and it’s structures, and they are excited to show it off to whoever is willing to listen. So thank you so much to everyone at the Castillo for making this trip memorable one for us! We can’t wait to come back!!!

Truly one of a kind. It’s a must-see in St. Augustine! The staff, dedicated volunteers and city have done an excellent job with preserving this jewel and making it fun and educational for all visitors! The view from the top part of the Fort is incredible. This was such an interesting attraction. After leaving this establishment you simply feel closer to history. I’ve visited as a child and now as an adult….and it’s always enjoyable!

I've come here many times since the late 1960's when my father first brought me. I remember having a souvenir Spanish cannon from here as a child and It's always worth the trip. St. Augustine itself is pretty touristy, but it's a pleasant way to spend an afternoon and send yourself back in time to the days of forts, castles, and dangerous adventures. Take your kids so they take away the memory of a lifetime and maybe a Spanish Cannon.

Great historical site that is rather unique. It is $15 for adults while under 16 are free. Military and veterans can get a National Park pass for free with proof; that gets three adult guests in with you also. Nice views of St. Augustine from here. Parking is $2.50 per hour.

Just an absolutely lovely place to visit. The site is steeped in a rich history. The views of the surrounding area and the city of Saint Augustine are beautiful. It’s worth a visit, even if you don’t pay for a tour; you can walk around the property. It’s especially nice at sunset. Grab some ice cream in town and walk the property and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city of Saint Augustine~

An amazing and historical monument in the original and oldest city of Florida. So much depth of history that you need to really take your time enjoying each section. The views are stunning. Park Rangers are very informative. Try visiting on a "cool" day if that's possible! The park also has parking but it's on a first-come first-serve basis. Bring a good pair of walking shoes and water and enjoy!

Neat place with lots of interesting historical displays and information about their distilling processes with plaques, pictures, and displays. We did a self-guided tour through the distillery which was quite adequate for our time frame and very informative. If we'd had more time we would have called ahead to arrange for an in-person guided tour, which I'm sure would have been excellent. Staff is friendly and very approachable if you have questions; they clearly take pride in their place of work. The various tasting stations are a nice touch and certainly add to the experience. The varieties of bourbon, gin, and rum, as well as the ready-made mixers are delicious. (Suggestion: Eat something beforehand. The samples aren't huge, but they are fairly potent on an empty stomach! 😉) There is also a store which offers for purchase all the various products from the distillery, with a tasting station so you can sample what you're thinking of buying. All very low-key, there is no pushiness to get you to buy anything, they obviously know just how excellent their products are! The restrooms are very clean and roomy and ever so quaint - worth a visit, too! Accessibility is good and there is ample parking around the building.

This was one of our stops on trolley ride. We opted to pick up the next day and not having to walk around with our purchase. Free samples were definitely a treat. No pressure, just sample, and you can come back the next day. ID is required.

One of the top distilleries that I have visited in the US so far. You begin the tour with signing into an iPad, then you start with your tastings of vodkas, gins and bourbons. Upstairs the bartender Nick was very knowledgeable on all of their products and made great suggestions on what to buy based on my likes.

What a great experience this was! The tour is free and self guided so take as long as you'd like. Each area has a tasting station which have samples that they're promoting. All of the samples were great. Even better is that at the end they let you try whatever you'd like that they sell. All of the staff were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their company. A must visit when going to St. Augustine.

I highly recommend the paid tour, it's only 35 dollars. Patrick(?) was our bourbon educator and man did he deliver some incredible information to us. It was a one hour class on information that we should be aware of when it comes down to picking, tasting, and understanding the complexities of what makes up a bourbon. Great job! The class was not rushed and very well paced. We were celebrating my mother's 70th birthday and the team even signed a card for her. Everyone received a glencairn and was thoroughly educated on how to drink from it. In all, a great day to drink bourbon and thanks for making Mom's birthday a whole lot more fun (she was a huge fan of the port finished bourbon).

Fun place to visit. Great history and very knowledgeable staff. Great setup and tour. Good drinks at each stop and we had a lot of fun as a small group! Definitely recommend stopping by this distillery! Even if you only drink one type of spirit, try them all, it might surprise you!

My girlfriend is a bourbon drinker and booked this tour on our visit to Saint Augustine. We were immediately met by Clark and once in the private room, he proceeded to provide the experience. He did so with a passion and fervor that I haven't seen in a very long time. He spoke intelligently, factually, answered all the questions perfectly. His knowledge and understanding of the process and his use of facts was super impressive. He made this tour very special, welcoming and kept us interested and engaged the entire time. What an amazing experience and I hope anyone that has a chance to visit gets Clark as the experience guide (as he explained it was a combination of tour, history, and facts - an experience). The gift shop patrons were also very welcoming and friendly. What an amazing experience and Clark, thank you for making this one of the great highlights of our trip.

Nice short tour through the Distillery with tastings. If your over 21 make sure you have your ID with you. Nice rustic building to go through. If I were to go again I would make time to stop at the restaurant to try food and more drinks.

Excellent distillery and a very unique way to conduct a tour. The tasting stations with cocktails makes it a useful tasting and showcases the products. The gift shop is amazing and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Loved this experience and I’ve toured about 50 distilleries, including most on the famous bourbon trail. Top notch!

Yesterday was my sons 32nd birthday so we made a family trip to the St Augustine Distillery for a Bourbon class and it was amazing. I highly recommend it. So much fun as a family. Clark was so knowledgeable on Bourbon and he was funny as well. We also made our own bottle of Bourbon when the class was over and that was an amazing experience as well. You bottle the bourbon, cork it and label it with your signature and shrink wrap the top. I recommend this experience as a gift or fun family weekend trip.

I love lighthouses and this one is the bee’s knee’s. Bought tickets online with a discount. Dog friendly except inside the buildings. 219 steps to the top and worth the admission. Great piece of preserved history and functional architecture. The light is impressive at night and incredible in the day. Beautiful wooded paths on the grounds and they sell pickles and snacks! Gift shop has excellent selection and prices.

Your thighs will burn going up the stairs but it is was beautiful! Full of history and gorgeous views! Highly recommend bringing water if there during the summer! The staff were all very friendly and the bonus was that they are pet friendly!! Dogs are welcome, just not in the lighthouse itself.

Great museum and well thought out. Signage was cool and informative on the way up the tower. Loved the cat story! The facilities were expansive with lots to do. I'd love to spend a whole day here sometime... But it is easy enough to breeze through casually in under an hour if you need to.

Any absolute delight. Has History, souvenirs, antiques, archeology and more. More than a museum. Don't be intimidated if you have mobility handicaps. Staff is wonderful to make doable suggestions to make those with canes or walkers welcome and comfortable even if climbing stairs is physical limited. Restrooms available in several convenient locations. Many kid friendly things including pirate ship playground, outdoor play area with games and a trail that promotes hands on learning. Climb to the top of the lighthouse or enjoy the view from a comfy seat. Be sure to appreciate the landscaping and Florida foliage as well as the lighthouse keepers garden. The Tin Pickle is the stop for a hotdog, muffin, brownie, soda or a cold beer. We watched men building boats on site. We watched and archaeologist work on items retrieved from ocean dives. Be sure and hike the trail that goes behind the lighthouse. See the lush native plants. Enjoy the huge trees covered in Spanish Moss. Well worth the money and wonderful history lesson for kids of all ages. Staff is beyond helpful and kind.

Had such a great visit! The lighthouse is so well taken care or we climbed all the way to the top! Its quite a climb but worth it and there are many spots to sit for a break on the way up.. the views are absolutely immaculate and all of the additional exhibits and mini museums were awesome!

$30 bucks get you access to the lighthouse and the museum on property. Cool history and a 160+ stair climb to the top of the lighthouse that will give you a workout. Don’t forget to stop at each open window as you climb for a cool constant breeze to stay cool. They sell cheap bottles of ice cold water so may be advisable to grab a bottle (or two) to stay hydrated in the Saint Augustine humidity. The view at the top is just breathtaking!

Amazing evening in st. Augustine's lighthouse ghost tour. If you're into ghost tales of events that happened of a housekeeper lighthouse Inn. It's an amazing 2-hour tour on the historic ground at the existing lighthouse that is still in use today. Off the shores of Florida on the Atlantic coast is a lighthouse that has been used since the 1800's. The tours are guided for 2 hours. It is all outside so be prepared to still be hot and deal with mosquitoes. You can walk to the top of the lighthouse. It is dark until you get closer to the top with a light that will come on. It's 219 stairs to the top. But the view of the whole tour is well worth it.

The place is great, a really wonderful experience. There is a height limitation for children, so if you have small ones, bring another adult so you can take turns going up the lighthouse. It's a really beautiful and well kept place that offers a lot to see. The water is walking distance away and is beautiful in and of itself. Really enjoyed the experience with my family. I look forward to going again soon. The experience will also be nicer when my daughter can go up the steps.

This was a lovely impromptu stop! The views from the top were gorgeous and expansive and the climb up (although nearly 219 steps) was very manageable due to the benches you can sit on the way up and how well made the stairs are. The building has just been recently renovated and it looks amazing! Each of the exhibits in the separate side buildings were also meticulously maintained and informative. We spoke with several staff members who were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall an incredible place to visit and affordable! Come support historical St. Augustine

A fun, unique experience. Nice views from the top obviously. Be aware if you have kids that for safety reasons there is a height requirement to go up and you aren’t allowed to carry anyone up (or down). There are some unique trails around the property as well including a maritime hammock to explore. There’s also a pirate ship playground for little kids who can’t go up.

I think I did this review on my phone and am now editing because I didn't give quite enough detail. The lighthouse itself is fantastic to see and we've been here a few times. You have to have purpose to make the climb, though, LOL! The breeze, and view, at the top make it worth it. My husband always has a bit of a height thing when he climbs. But the staff we encountered while we were there were fantastic! One of the fountains was broken, and it was a very hot day, and I was looking for a place to re-fill my water bottle. The lady that was standing at the entrance to the lighthouse did not know one was broken, and made sure I knew where the closest functioning fountain was. We were sure glad to find it since it was July in the hot south!

Great place to shop and Walk around

Multiple homeless and souvenir shops. We walked down to see what it was about. Saw the oldest schoolhouse. Many restaurants but very expensive. Don't plan to spend too much time. Parking is available at the visitor center for a flat fee. There are parking lots closer but more money.

If you’re looking for loads of family fun, I highly recommend the St. Augustine Pirate museum. There are numerous interactive historical puzzles, scavenger hunts, audio stories, and hidden treasure to be discovered! The museum has authentic pirate artifacts ranging from weapons, treasure, tools, flags, clothing, and lots more. The staff is very kid friendly, the museum is throughout a pirate ship so you never lose the feeling of being at sea with your first mate. All in all, great for family fun, my daughter absolutely had a blast, awesome Hollywood pirate display, and they have a lovely gift shop.

This museum was fun, however the below deck experience is not good for those with anxiety or claustrophobia. Other than that it's a cool like adventure. The artifacts are really neat and some the them are so detailed. My daughter is a pirate fanatic and absolutely loved it.

Perfect for all ages. A nice air-conditioned place to learn about the pirates. They offer a treasure hunt game, have lots of activities for all ages, computer games, knot tying, cannon, story rooms to listen to the pirates, helm, and videos. Real artifacts of gold, silver, muskets, swords, cannons, and a real-life 400-year-old treasure chest. Must see and do with the family. The staff were even dressed in costumes. Very well done.

It's informative and interactive. We had fun and doing the map treasure activities is nice but the prize need improvement. The price is okay. The place was clean. We went there on week day but its crowded. It's a very popular spot. ... We are happy to see the Jolly Roger and other artifacts. The kids enjoy it. ...

A fun and informative jaunt into the world of pirates. Of course there was exhibits on the most well known pirates, but I also really enjoyed learning information about pirating related to the local area. A huge plus was how comfortable it was on the inside, a nice and cool diversion from the St. Augustine heat. My family lazily made it through in about 30 minutes. All children over 13 pay adult price, which made the price tag for our family of five feel a little expensive for what we got.

We had a wonderful time learning about my favorite pirates and seeing all the cool items on display. The Pirate Historian was the hit of the museum and you would not want to miss him! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and very personable to everyone. What a fun experience and educational experience. We strongly recommend it for everyone young and old!

First let's start with the locale. Love it right by the beach and fresh air. The seating situation was a bit messy because we had our dog we had to sit outside (naturally) but it was first come first serve with no rules on who gets what table so who knows what free for all can happen. But they do have plenty of seating with a waiting list for the rest of the place no biggie. You are here for the food so here we go. The app Mozzarella Sticks... yummy, cheesy, and a nice crunchy outside. My girl had the 'Cheeseburger in Paradise' and loved it cooked right and the fries were spot on. I had the 'Sunset Chicken Sandwich' blackened... it was so good, juicy and the again the fries were spot on. The staff service was great and tentative. Go to this place and enjoy it.

Staff were super helpful. Kids were tired of chicken tenders and cheeseburgers so they asked for grilled shrimp instead of fried. The server accommodated their needs. Provided refills promptly and always had a smile on her face. I ordered the fish ‘n chips. The fish, I felt could have been seasoned more and fried longer but that may be because I was busy with the amazing potato wedges it comes with. They were seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection! Fried pickles and mozzarella sticks were a must for us. Will come back again!

Very busy restraunt! Not a seafood lover, but my family is! I had chicken and waffles and it was delicious!! Coconut shrimp and salmon also great! Christine was wonderful! So very sweet and patient with our large family! Took time to go through the menu and make recommendations! Would definitely eat here again when in town!

The place was very nice and pretty busy. The food was good but nothing spectacular. I got the chicken tacos and they were good. My fiancé got the chicken and waffles which I really liked. The hot honey was not terribly hot. Overall a cool place to sit down and have a meal. You can sit upstairs in the open air or dine in the restaurant.

Sunset Grille is a very nice place to sit and enjoy a late night snack (which was our experience). We stopped by around 10:00 pm for a late night bite. The food and service was good despite the late hour. We enjoyed a couple of appetizers: - Boneless Chicken Wings (4/10) - MoMo's Coco Boss Coconut Shrimp (10/10) The pina colada dipping sauce was really good. - Mozzarella Sticks (8/10) - Bud Light Draft (10/10) Next time, I would like to stop by for lunch to try other menu items. I will post another review in the future.

This has long been a favorite place for us and our family to come for dinner, every time we visit St. Augustine. This time, we chose it as a good place to take my MIL and meet up with our friends who live in the area. It was every bit as good as always, perhaps even better! We got lucky and got the perfect table for 7 of us outside. The food really was outstanding. I chose the Tropical Trigger and it was amazingly delicious! Trigger fish sauteed in key lime and honey citrus sauce. The fish was cooked perfectly and was tender and juicy, and the sauce was absolutely yummy. The perfect citrusy and slightly creamy accompaniment to the fish. My two sides were fresh green beans and collard greens, both very yummy and fresh. We all chose different fish dishes and everyone was very happy with their meals. As always, they also had a great variety of tropical cocktails. I can't find their cocktail menu online, to remind myself what I had. However, it was something with rum and brandy and an unusual fruit flavor - apricot I think? It was delicious anyway! Consistently excellent food, service, drinks and atmosphere. We'll be back next time!

The food was very good and the server was extremely friendly. It was very busy inside but they did a good job keeping up with traffic. However, the hostess was very rude. The girl who worked yesterday during lunch with short brown hair was so rude. She was talking with 2 other hostess while I stood there waiting for her to ask what I needed. A group of 5 walked right in and cut in front of me. She addressed the man but ignored me. When I came back with my buzzer I waited in line for my turn. A man came in behind and tried to cut. I gave her my buzzer and she apologized to the man. I just felt like I was going crazy. Besides her, everyone else was extremely friendly and polite. Sucks this is the first interaction I get coming to this wonderful restaurant

Beautiful ambiance outside with string lights and live music. Dog friendly outdoor area. Food was spectacular. I had the cool martini cucumber drink. It was refreshing. Food took about an hour to come out so don't come here if you are on a hurry. Also there was a 45 minute wait to be seated but it was all worth the wait. Prices are reasonable like under $20 for some of the mains. Food style was like new Orleans style. I highly recommend upgrading your side dish for $1 to the fried grits cake. So flavorful. FYI-there's no kids menu.

Wow. Unassuming from the outside, but this place was top notch! Our server, Doug, was fantastic. Made sure we were taken care of, answered all our questions, and was at the table exactly when we needed him. Refills brought without having to order. And then the food. My GOD the food. Reasonably priced, huge portions, and every dish we ordered was heaven. Highly recommend!

Everything was so good! FOOD outstanding,so flavorful and portions on point, ATMOSPHERE so inviting and homie at the same time. The restaurant is beautiful, we went here on Christmas time and it was just amazing.I can’t wait to go back. The WAITING time was the only thing it was the bad part,but that food is so worth the wait

First off the the server was very pleasant. And informative about all the menu items. His suggestions were very helpful and everyone enjoyed what was selected. Atmosphere was clean and simple. They have a wonderful outdoor seating area, to hot still for me. But I would love to co e back and enjoy during the short cooler periods.

Amazing food!! I love the shrimp and scallop orleans and the fried green tomatoes. The butter that comes with the complimentary bread is so good. Everything is rich and flavorful. Great atmosphere too with live music on the patio. Only downside is it took awhile to get our food.

Our absolute favorite restaurant in St. Augustine. This was our second visit, and it was as good as if not better than the last. The service is always great, and the food is always phenomenal. We always get a balcony seat. It is so lovely to eat delicious food and watch the water and boats. Our server was (Navid?) who knew all the specials and made a stellar recommendation. Can't wait until our next visit.

One of our favorite places to eat in St. Augustine. Salmon dip and cheese dip with shrimp are absolute hit. They add new items to the menu during holidays. Drinks are good, atmosphere is nice, service is great and fast at the bar, slows down if you are sitting at the table. Outside is perfect during cool months. In general, awesome place to spend time with your family even if you have small children.

Very yummy food! Had the red fish Alexandria at the suggestion of our amazing server Rachel. It was lunch time and not too crowded. The food was presented well and equally appealing to eye and pallet. My wife and I can’t wait to come back again. This is a local favorite so if it’s dinner time you may have a bit of a wait. But completely worth it.

Wow might be the city's best! Great food and a cozy courtyard. The restaurant was very busy, and it's clear how good it is when so many people are willing to wait upwards of 2 hours. We had great service from Mia. She was handling a lot of tables but still able to treat us right. Good drinks too! Plan ahead for parking or a way into the city as Saint Augustine has been very crowded this week. It's the happening spot!

We were seated outside with no wait around 1:30 on a weekday. Our server was fairly prompt getting to us. We had our food ordered within less than 5 minutes and received the appetizer about 10 minutes later. The rest of our food arrived less than 10 minutes after that. I could be off on the times, but it all arrived very quickly. Everything was delicious!! Huge portions. Lunch for 2 was about $50 with the appetizer, and before the tip. For what we got, it seemed reasonable. They serve you bread ahead of your meal that was really good. Linen napkins, so this is a nicer place to eat. We tried the fried green tomatoes, which were amazing!!! Tomatoes were very sweet, the breading had a great flavor, the sauce and feta cheese on top were perfect for this dish. I tried the blackened shrimp salad. It was huge!! The shrimp was very tasty, not spicy if that's a concern. If I'm in the area, I would definitely come back here!

We had an awesome time at Harry's Seafood. Several items were recommended by our server, Adam, and they were delicious. We arrived on a busy night but enjoyed drinks and a musician while we waited. We will be returning.

For the positive, the waiter was polite. We were recommended this place. I'm not sure why. The food was very salty and ordinary. I was expecting a higher quality of food for the price. The indoor atmosphere is blah. There are much better dining options in St. Augustine. We asked to be seated outdoors and was told no. They would have had to wipe the tables down, which they did about a half hour after we left. I won't be recommending Harry's to anyone.

This was a tough one: Place: the dining rooms are beautiful, inspired by Hispanic style, with a different environment. Delightful (5 stars) Service: the waitress and the manager did their best, very helpful in all the requirements we had (5 stars) Food: the food here was ok. I would love to say that it was an unforgettable experience, but it was not. you can find the same food quality at half of the price (3 stars) Price: not too pricey, but definitely not cheap. in my opinion, you are not getting for what you are paying (3 stars) Overall, it was a pleasant experience. We had a good time with friends and enjoyed it. I’m not sure if I would return, but I haven’t ruled it out yet. I will probably give it another chance.

Great for the dining experience, our server was super friendly and the ambiance of this setting was as historic, charming and fancy as expected. Food wise, everything was ok, wasn't too crazy about the flavours, but I haven't really had too much Spanish food to compare to! The best dish was probably the steak, but it WAS great that everything wasn't over seasoned/ greasy. I must add, the complimentary bread and butter were amazing.

On our third visit to beautiful St. Augustine we decided to visit landmark restaurant Columbia. The menu has all the history of the restaurant through it's 115 years . We chose the crab cakes as an appetizer. Just by chance we saw a paella being served so we decided to share a very tasty paella. For dessert we ordered the bread pudding which was amazing!! Columbia was an food experience and a lesson in history. A must visit in St. Augustine.

Tonight's dinner experience was hands down the best I think my husband and I have ever had! The service was absolutely incredible and the food was too! Our waitress (Danica Roberts) was amazing throughout the entire meal. When she packaged our leftovers, she topped off our soup so we'd have a full bowl and even gave us fresh bread because she said we couldn't have soup without bread. She filled the bottom of the to-go dish for our leftover dessert with extra white chocolate sauce so the bread pudding wouldn't dry out. She even showed us pictures from her wedding! (We got close lol) During the dinner, we had 2 different managers stop by to ask about our experience. I don't mean the typical "how is everything?" and then walk away. No, these were full on conversations! One even invited us to join the staff on a trip to the Bahamas! I have never experienced anything like this. It will be very hard to top this service anywhere. I'm not even doing it justice in this post. Every detail was perfect and it was obvious they genuinely care about their customers.

Delicious food, awesome atmosphere! We went here after a friend recommended we try it on our visit. First of all being Hispanics it was amazing to be seeing all of the pics on the walls took us back to our grandparents and parents era. A lot of the decorations reminded us of the homes and decorations back in our countries. The music was wonderful! Let’s talk about the delicious food Empanadas de picadillo, the crust was flaky and crispy and so fresh but the picadillo stole the show. If you like or have ever wanted to try an empanada this is your chance you will not be disappointed. The scallops appetizer was scrumptious and scallops were soft and you can tell they were fresh. The little bread crumbs on top made it so much better. My husband had the Steak Palomilla sandwich and it came with rice & black beans. The rice was a little sweet which was a great and delicious surprise for us. The steak was of great quality and so soft, the crusty Cuban bread always toasted perfectly but the 1905 put this sandwich over the top. Seriously recommend you ask for extra on the side. I had the Mahi Mahi sándwich and it was beyond my expectations. One of the best if not the best fish sandwich I have had from the NC to South coast. The onions and peppers were grilled to perfection and the fish was grilled perfect and so soft and tender. Warning!! It comes out very hot and seems to have a pocket of heat in the middle it burned the inside of my mouth. Still worth it for that perfect bite. I put some of the 1905 in it and elevated my sandwich to an even better level of deliciousness. I was disappointed on the plantain chips, I love the Cuban mariquitas and the ones I got tasted like store bought ones but were fresh and crispy and were good with 1905. We had no room for dessert this time. Haha! The waitress we had was not that great she seemed a bit annoyed to be serving us although we were nice to her. She did bring the food in time and refilled outlet drinks when needed. But did not recommend anything to us and seemed rushed to take our order. Honestly being a waitress myself in the past I know how hard it can be. Maybe she was having a bad day and that is why I will not put her name down. If she had been rude I would mention her name but no need. We all have bad days and need some grace.

Phenomenal. No other words for Columbia Restaurant. I would definitely recommend booking a reservation ahead of time especially if you are planning on going during peak hours and during the weekend, because it was very crowded and there was a solid line of people without reservations waiting to be seated. We came for my father’s birthday, and all of us LOVED the food. So savory and authentic. I will definitely be coming back here to try out more dishes.

Beautiful decor! The place is all decked out. Perfect for a date night or a friend's meet up. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. The food was sub par. Just didn't meet the bar for me. Especially it being so pricey. I expected it to be better.

Wow... The atmosphere, the servers, and the food were all absolutely wonderful. They have a ton of selections on their menu so finding something that you will like should be no problem. The only issue (which isn't their fault) is finding parking in the general vicinity.

What a great restaurant! Gorgeous inside and out no matter where you sit. Food was absolutely phenomenal. We had one of the crab croquettes which were soooo yummy. We also got the brioche and the stuffed salmon. The stuffed salmon was our favorite. Service was wonderful and we had such a wonderful time taking in the beautiful venue. Thanks to Jason, our waiter, for all the great suggestions and service!

Beautiful restaurant along with a super convenient location when you look at the surrounding area. I’m sure I can speak for most when I say the outside seating is what grabbed my attention from a far. The blue neon lights you could see from afar! The restaurants decor has a fun beach vibe. During our visit they had live music 🎶 ongoing. It was a really nice touch. This place is very popular! Service was great! That alone gives this place three stars. Food was just okay and the lack of vegetarian options was a bit disappointing. I didn’t have much to eat besides rice, veggies, and fries. My grandmother enjoyed her shrimp, and we loved the dessert 🍨 We didn’t have much expectations going in so we were content with our experience.

We sat on the rooftop and watched the sunset listening to live music from downstairs. 10/10 for atmosphere. Server was excellent, very accommodating for my garlic allergy. The grouper and fries was our favorite. My only complaint is they don't have a rain plan. If it starts raining you are added to a waiting list for seating inside. No one could tell me what we would do with our food. Carry it around with us? Eat in the hallway?

Had driven by here several times and we finally stopped and were definitely glad we did. My boyfriend got the maple soy glazed salmon and I had the fried grouper basket. Everything was so good and the atmosphere was really unique! Highly recommend.

We were welcomed in, sent upstairs to be seated for the view. One waitress asked if we wanted something to drink. She brought the waters out to the tables in front and behind us, I actually had to walk up to the bar to get my own water. Another waitress came out and took our order,. Our new waitress was attentive at first, but ignored me when I ordered a second drink. She only checked on us 3x during the course of our meal and proceeded to offer to go waters to others except for us. Never refilled our waters or asked if anything else was needed when she brought the check over. I’m not understanding how hard it was to be courteous or have awareness of what is happening around you. She was not a terrible server, however would have expected more from the St. Augustine location.

Food was delicous. Service was stellar. Loved the indoor/outdoor vibe. After our first visit we went back a few days later and they were understaffed, but Lauren found us and took such great care of us. She went above and beyond. The food was just as good as we tried new things this round. We will definitely visit whenever near St. Augustine.

Absolutely the best spicy poke bowl I ever had. Tuna was seared perfect. Taste an texture was awesome. We also had fried grouper fish taco with chips and guacamole. Can’t wait to come back. I’m only 30 minutes or less away. This was my second visit. Seated promptly and wait staff did well. 4.8 stars

Excellent service. Food is really good. Nice atmosphere. Really like the wave shaped fish tank at the front door. It is very expensive, but that is expected in a vacation area.

The atmosphere was definitely a beach vibe. The waitress, Kayla was awesome EXCEPT when she chased me down to let me know I need to leave a $22 tip! The crab legs were very small and definitely NOT worth the price. The salmon was good but my mom & brother, who ordered the Beach Boil, left still hungry. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff but the food was just alright.

The food was so good we went twice during our visit to St. Augustine! Tempura Avocado fries Seared Tuna Taco Salad with Steak Beach Burger Were a few of the menu items we noshed on. The service was fabulous and the restaurant was clean!

I’ve always heard about this restaurant so me and my partner decide to have a dinner date here. I love the surf vibe of the place and view of the beach from our rooftop table. They had live music which set a certain vibe. My meal was good but my partner meal wasn’t so impressive. I loved the fact that the manager tried to fix that with offering us dessert on the house. But we didn’t want anything else. Overall it’s a nice place just go an opening mind for the food.

We arrived at the restaurant and were lucky enough to be served by Kenna, she was incredible giving us dish tips and organized the sequence of dishes ordered in a very professional, exemplary and efficient way! As many times as we come to St Augustine we will come to this Restaurant, the more ask for the server Kenna! Keep Kenna as an employee for many years, she was responsible for our loving the restaurant! if it had a score from 0 to 10 we would give it 100.

Was on vacation, but I went in around 10PM on a Saturday night, we only ordered to go but everything was awesome. The hostess staff were very friendly, the atmosphere inside and out was exciting but calm. There was live entertainment, and everything looked very clean and welcoming. Even with the crowd our food was ready in 20 minutes. Enough time to walk down the pier and back. I’m definitely looking forward to going eating here again the next time I’m in town.

Not as I remembered... I am sure this business has been impacted by COVID as have so many others. The food was far from memorable and I could tell it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Sticky tables. I even received a warm beer. The air conditioning seemed to be out or not working correctly. I am sorry, but I can't recommend dining at A1A Ale Works. Table checks were few and far between. Peyton our server was great but seemed very overworked.

On the corner of a prime spot overlooking Bridge of Lions. Restaurant top floor, bar/lounge with live music on the bottom. Delicious food. Really good Moscow Mule (see pic). 2 kids and 2 adults left with smiles and full bellies.

Went in on a Saturday around 3:30. As we waited for our table at the bar, the bartender served us immediately. Great drinks. When seated at a table the waitress took about 20 minutes to come take our orders. Thankfully we still had our drinks from the bar while waiting for her as we looked at the menu. When she arrived she took our orders. We got the fried shrimp appetizer that came out in 5-10 minutes. As we waited for our entrees, within 20 minutes the waitress came by to tell us it would be a little longer for our food and offered to bring us a basket of bread while we waited. The bread came out and was hot but very hard on the outside. Our entrees finally came and were very tasty. I got the shrimp tacos and my boyfriend got the jambalaya. He said it was so good just a lot of grease at the bottom. Overall would not come back on a Saturday but any other day for the good food and drinks.

Anytime I can sit next to the water and on a beautiful sunny afternoon and enjoy a beer and wings. That my friends is a great day to me. Got lucky on the parking and the seating was pretty quick. My server was a sweetheart and took great care of us. Started with the local IPA 🍺 and wings. Followed by another local draft and crab 🦀 dip and bread followed by another draft we’ll you get the picture. Being on the second floor was perfect for a breeze and the view. Give these folks a try as the inside finished wood bar and seats are equally impressive. Enjoy

I've been here a few times. Food is usually good. Staff is friendly but sometimes slow. Today we went for lunch and got the Mediterranean salad and tacos. The salad was more expensive than the tacos with shrimp added but significantly smaller and just wasn't impressive. Most of the tourists we saw were ordering fried stuff and got their food long before us. Probably be awhile before we go back

Busy place with good service, spirit-ful drinks, delicious food and beautiful views. Tasty apps, especially the artichoke dip. The tuna dishes are incredible, the shrimp and grits was good but a bit dry. They have paper straws which I understand but hateeee. The bar is downstairs and they had live music which wasn't as loud upstairs where the restaurant is and it gives it a good vibe 👍

This is a great brewery right in Downtown St. Augustine! It’s two floors so they’ve got plenty of seating so hopefully you won’t have to wait long for a table if they’re busy. We sat on the second floor patio. Our waitress was really nice and attentive to us. I only got appetizers since I wasn’t all that hungry. I got the Calamari and the Pretzels with beer cheese. Both were insanely good! The pretzels were hot and fresh, the calamari was crispy, and the beer cheese was good! Overall, I’ll definitely make a stop here again.
