I was absolutely mesmerized by the aqueducts of Segovia during my recent visit. The grandeur of this ancient engineering marvel is truly awe-inspiring. The precision with which the massive granite blocks fit together, creating a bridge that has stood the test of time for centuries, left me speechless. The history and significance of the aqueducts, dating back to Roman times, added an extra layer of fascination. The sight of water flowing through these arches, standing tall against the backdrop of the city, is a sight to behold. Whether you're a history buff or simply someone who appreciates architectural wonders, the aqueducts of Segovia are an absolute must-see.

Beautiful town in spain with its iconic ancient Aqueduct. The old buildings in the town are also beautiful. You can climb up the stairs just behind the aqueduct to see the view of the town and aqueduct from above, which is breathtaking. We were there when it was quite cloudy, and still beautiful, but definitely will be much prettier with clear skies.

Holy moly this was absolutely amazing! We drove by it on our way in but that was nothing compared to walking up to it. My wife and I walked alongside it to the main entrance where it came from underground and were able to see the carved out top as it was waist high at that point. We also say a filtration station and then came back in the evening for pictures on the other side up high with great views of the city. Definitely recommend as it’s one of the most well preserved aqueducts I’ve ever seen.

Truly fascinating it was still standing up today. 16km of marvelous architecture built centuries ago. It's now a tourist attraction here in Segovia, Spain. The actual city was kept in its original form and structure, with some retouches to restore the Grandeur it was. Don't leave Madrid without visiting this site in just more than an hour's drive from the city center.

No doubt, this is one of the top 3 sites not to miss in Segovia. Although I'd strongly recommend to visit the Alcazar and the Cathedral first and leaving the aqueduct for the end, before taking the bus (11,12) back to the train station. The old city is off course charming and to reach those landmarks you'll stroll in the narrow medieval streets and enjoy its special atmosphere. With Toledo, it is definitely the best day trip from Madrid!

Probably my most memorable sight of whole Spain! This roman aqueduct is simply a great pice of ancient engineering. Anyone who is remotely interested in history, architecture or engineering will be amazed by the Aqueduct of Segovia. I would definitely recommend visiting it and seeing it with your eyes!

This one of the most outstanding architectural sites. It amazes me that it is 2,000 years old. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the plaza and restrooms to make it a great outing. Don't forget to climb the stairs on the side of the plaza to get a perspective from the top of the aqueduct.

Back to Segovia for the 2nd time and we still loved how it’s like. Spending 2.5 hours here and felt like we did walk thorough. It was a great visit !!

We took a day trip to both Toledo and Segovia, and between the two of them, we much preferred Segovia. The aqueduct is massive, much bigger than I expected, and creates a striking image with the town scenery in the background. There are no entrance fees or lines necessary, and many restaurants are available around the aqueduct. Overall, the aqueduct is what makes Segovia unique (and my personal favorite day trip from Madrid). If you visit Segovia, it's impossible to miss--also because it's the first thing we saw when we drove up.

An impressive cathedral built at the highest point of the old town. It is built in Gothic Roman style. It is has some beautiful stained glass windows.

It was magical being up the bell tower for the sunset, you’ll need to buy additional tickets. The cathedral interior itself is impressive. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Segovia. Plenty of eateries close by to break up your visit, if you have tickets for an evening tour.

Very nice place in a very nice city near the mountains of the capital city of spain madrid, its really interesting to visit , amazing and beautiful, you’ll love it. Historical, mythical, amazing, with many ancient paintings and traditional things from old spain . I recommend every one who visit spain.

You just can't go wrong with Spanish cathedrals. And this one is extraordinary inside and out. Built with Gothic and Renaissance components, it's truly a beautiful piece of artistic architecture. Do yourself a favor, and spend the extra 3 Euros to go on the tower tour. It's worth the climb for great views of the city amd surrounding countryside.

Beautiful structure. Somehow I thought it was a good idea to take the guided tour to the top. While the bell ringer's apartment was interesting to see, my legs felt as of the would fall off! Still 5 stars and must visit

Amazing Cathedral.  There is an admission fee, you pay at the booth before you enter the cathedral.  Advanced tickets are not necessary. You can also pay to go up the top of the belltower for beautiful views of Segovia.  Be warned, the stairwell up to the top is long, dark, with many, many stairs.  They break it out with small breaks on two floors.  They show a video of the history of the cathedral on the first break.  The second break is a tour of the bell tower quarters.  The views from the top are beautiful and fully worth the effort to make it to the top.

Outstandingly ornamented cathedral in the heart of Segovia. Looks absolutely amazing from the outside. However, the entrance inside is paid.

One of the most beautiful cathedrals you will ever see. No matter if you are an art-lover or you are not one them, once you are in Segovia, you must visit this place. I recommend you to join to a guided visit, so that you can understand the complexity of the building, how it was built, why it was built there, the challenges the builders had to face when it was built... Also, do not miss the artworks inside the whole area;paintings, sculptures, cult-objects,... This visit will make you understand not only the cathedral, but also the way of living of people from Segovia.

Usually I’m very reluctant against paying access to see a religious monument, but here I took my chance, and it didn’t disappoint. Only once you are inside you will find out how gigantic this building really is. With different separate areas to discover and even a complete paintings exposition in the basement, or a nice patio you can’t see from the outside. Would definitely recommend

The Cathedral is more impressive from the outside than inside, particularly with it's close proximity to the Plaza Mayor. When the lights come on at night, you can get some great photos from the Plaza. Having said that, the Spanish do their cathedrals really well. The inside was not as well decorated as many others, but I still recommend a visit.

A beautiful place to visit day or night. Many restaurants to sit and enjoy the view of the Cathedral(which offers guided tours). Some places can be slightly pricey due to the location. But I would definitely recommend even just going for some pictures. Take note that there is a 6 person per table restriction right now due to COVID-19.

Plaza Mayor is the vibrant old center of Segovia. There are plenty of things to see and do, starting with the Cathedral, extending to Teatro Juan Bravo, and a few restaurants, pastry shops and cafe terraces. Plaza Mayor is also the location of a weekly farmer's market that temporarily transforms the neighborhood into an old-fashioned square. Local produce, fruits, flowers and local specialties are abundant on market day.

A beautiful square, the ideal place for a break after visiting the Cathedral and before the Alcazar, or the other way around. We had a coffee at one of the restaurants, local specialities, Pastries, from the Confitería El Alcázar and it was charming.

Wow, what an amazing place with a fantastic vibe. Getting used to the late nights and early mornings as well as the vibe takes time, but the atmosphere is electric.

The main or best known public square in Segovia is much like the Plaza Mayor of major cities in Spain. Arranged around the square are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. The Cathedral of Segovia is also here and the only slightly unusual thing about this plaza is that it has an old style bandstand. Worth a stop for food.

A gorgeous view of the Alcazar de Segovia - quite like a fairytale! This park is just a short 15-minute walk down the stairs from the castle. Of course, walking uphill is a challenge so you can call a taxi as an alternative. The park is quiet and secluded, so you’ll likely have the wonderful view all to yourself!

I recently visited Mirador de la Pradera in Segovia and it was a fantastic experience. The weather was perfect - calm, sunny, and no clouds - which made for some incredible views of the castle. The Alcazar of Segovia is a stunning structure and from the Mirador, you can take in panoramic views of the castle and the surrounding landscape. However, there was one minor issue that may be worth noting for some visitors - there was cotton everywhere. It looked like it was snowing and while it didn't detract too much from the experience, it may be a concern for those with allergies or sensitivity to airborne particles. Aside from that, the Mirador de la Pradera is a must-visit spot in Segovia. The views are simply breathtaking and it's a great place to take photos or just soak in the scenery. Plus, it's an easy walk from the city center, so it's a convenient stop for anyone exploring Segovia. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Mirador de la Pradera if you're in Segovia. Just be aware of the cotton if you have allergies or sensitivities.

You must descend the stairs from the castle to find this beautiful park for the most wondrous photos of the Alcazar as well as enjoying a lovely stroll along the small stream. All of the Segovia locals are out running or walking their dogs along the track and it’s a nice place to enjoy the tourists who are plaguing the city

Any hike down but a workout coming back up. We'll worth it.

After you visit the castle you must go and visit this place! You can take a nice and long rest here with this nice view! You have a free parking area and access to a really intimate park. If you plan to take a break to eat your food that you have with you, feel free to go there and make a picnic out of it with an incredible view.

Interesting place to visit if you like very old churches (13 century)

Very unusual dodecagonal plan with a central huge pilar that hides a chapel with altar. Most impressive. You can almost see Templar knights up and down the stairs to the weird hide out. It belongs to the Order of Malta now, and the conservation job they do is shameful

This church is located in an out-of-the-way spot. I was the only Visitor there. 2E entry fee. Nothing extraordinary and certainly not worth going off the beaten path to see. Views of the Alcazar and remains of city walls were lovely along the walk there tho :)

Made reservations ahead of time, but they seemed to be seating couples without reservation, so worth stopping in to try to get a seat even if you don't have reservations. Tried the traditional Segovia dish of Cochinillo. So tender they carve out with a dinner plate. Many restaurants here offer this but I am glad we had it here. The place is cavernous with a bar and several dining areas. Totally worth the time.

A popular place for tapas and dining. We didn’t make a reservation and was shown a table in the basement. The service from when we entered till leaving was good and attentive. The food was so good! The roasted asparagus from the Spring Menu was simply seasoned to bring out the flavour of the produce. I had the baked hake from the Spring Menu, it was generous and delicious. My friend had roasted pig and it was very tender, it does not come with any side dishes though. Price is a bit on the high side, while the food was worth the price, other items such as bread(1.75 euro per piece) were overpriced.

What a place, three dining rooms that I could see and a separate building. The food was terrific. This was our first Michelin-star restaurant, and it was 5-star all the way. Most people seemed very happy with the service and speed. The suckling pig plate ceremony was fantastic, and I have to say the taste was better than expected. We had the tasting menu for lunch, and they we on point all the way. If you're in the area, stop in; you won't be disappointed. The suckling pig is a must!

The one word I'd use to describe today's meal is sensational. I really don't understand some of these negative reviews - almost seems like a different restaurant. I had lunch here today and this was one of the best meals I've had in recent memory. It's the perfect combination of the traditional meeting the modern. I was a bit skeptical going in thinking it would be quite touristy but it absolutely is not. The chorizo as a starter was great, the 21st century salad might have been one of the most delicious dishes I've ever had, completely next level and innovative and not to be missed, and of course the pig was unique, tender and sublime. And for those who appreciate farm to table you won't find much fresher than this as the slaughter date of the pig was yesterday. I also had the house wine which is from the bodega owned by the owner and it was just outstanding as well. Had a look at the bodega's website which is about an hour from Segovia and no question I'll visit on my next trip to the area. A superb restaurant with great service and I will certainly return. The casual, relaxed, timeless vibe and authenticity adds to the experience. Their gastro/tapas bar looks great too.

Reserve before you go that will be the best idea. Food delicious... the cerdito was spectacular ... disnnot get the chance to take pictures but meat so soft that they use a plate to cut it in pieces.

Great food and service. The cochinillo and cordero de lechal are a must and they were both really well done. It’s a bit overpriced for Spanish standards and desserts can be improved so for that reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5.

One of the best restaurants in Segovia, if not Spain... The food here is just amazing... cecina, fried blood sausage, sopa castellana, judiones, cochinillo... and then the cheesecake was just out of this world! Great atmosphere, super friendly staff... If you want to experience a segovian menu this is your place!

This place is so popular with the locals. Not only was it full at meal time, there were also a lot of people, even firefighters that came for takeaways. The roast lamb was very tender and tasty, it deserves 10 stars!

I had a lovely meal here on my last night in Segovia; I wanted to end my stay with something "local" and I'm so glad I stumbled across this place. The food was perfectly cooked and excellently seasoned allowing the ingredients to shine naturally (I had the house specials, judiones de la granja and cochinillo, plus a deconstructed tarta de queso). The service was attentive -- the head waiter keeping a close eye on everything and making sure I understood the coursed menu -- as well as professional and warm. The outside dining is cleverly situated on a stairway so it's a unique dining experience, tucked away a bit but with the awareness of the city above and below. There's also an inconspicuous bar at the bottom of the stairs if before or after-dinner drinks are in order. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is not on the main Street and therefore it's not a tourist trap... It's the perfect place to go to try the local specialty (cochinillo) that is a baby roast pig. We had the set menu that was so good and highly recommend. We sat outside but they also have lots of seating inside. A visit here should be part of your visit.

This place was a bit strange. The waiters outside were not as welcoming in the beginning. We were served incorrect food. The pricing includes wine but it was not explained clearly initially. It wasn't completely their fault though, they did their best. We didn't have a reservation and were seated on the steps outside. Nearly the entire inside was empty. I think they missed our salad and never served it. The food was ok, nothing really flavorful. Overall, I would skip this place and try another location next time.

Very fast and friendly service. While they do offer a nice menu with options for a first, second, and dessert course, the obvious choice for second course will be the suckling pig. It is simple, served in it's own juices with a crusted skin and extremely moist meat. You also get a choice of half water or wine, which means if you come with a friend or partner it's a bottle for the two of you. Overall, an amazing deal for a wonderful meal.

We are very lucky to find this restaurant. Although it is located very close to the mainstream, a bit hidden coz you need to go downstairs a bit. The waiters are very friendly and efficient. Only menu course available, we choose the starters-traditional soup and egg nest in cream with black truffle,very yummy! Main dish, no doubt went with Cochinillo asado, roasted skin was amazingly crispy! Plus desserts, really wonderful lunch with adorable price, highly recommend 5 stars!

Amazing food, we had a half pig between 4 people along with the recommended beans and soup and it was amazing. You truly feel like you are back when knights were wearing armor, lasses were slinging beer and the goats were roaming free. Highly recommend!

We came on a Thursday at 8pm and were the first guests, The owner handles everything himself and was a great host - despite not talking any English he knew how to communicate and help with the selection. We had a wine of recommendation - very good price value (15.80), the traditional bean dish - a bit bland for my taste (I like the Mexican version better) and the suckling pig for two - perfect on point and could have served three. Shared the only available dessert and had a coffee - both perfect - to finish. He served us a homemade Honey liqueur on the house and we were in a happy food coma. Local atmosphere, great food and a personal service experience - 10/10 would visit again. PS: He offers free taxi to his place, so maybe call him for that Improvement point: The breadbasket was a bit dry and bland

You should try Cochinillo when you're in Segovia for sure. This place was really typical and beautiful. Cochinillo here was really delicious and the service was really good. They show the meat to you before cutting it and it makes the experience even nicer.

Wonderful place - this is much more than just restaurant. It's a place of social meet-ups (sobremesa) and indulgent food. As a pescanterian I found myself enjoying sopa de marisco and ensalada mixta. I don't support slaughtering animals, but I will leave it for everyone to decide individually. I still appreciate cordial and professional customer service and kind hospitality.

Restaurant was cold upon arrival, nice decor but no atmosphere and no music. Red house wine was served very cold. Food was okay but rather expensive. They charged us for bread while we hadn't ordered it or used it so we asked to get this removed from the bill. All in all I wouldn't recommend this place.

Very friendly staff. We only had a drink and some free tapas but we would return for a meal. The dining room was filling so guess booking is best.
