The beach is very big and clean. There are so many things to do at the pier. Various kind of rides and local food shops at the pier makes it a happening place. We tried coffee and veggie burger at two nearby shops and though little crowded, they were worth the wait. Be sure to keep masks with you, entrance in the shops without mask is restricted. There are also bicycle rentals just after the public parking area at the beach. The parking is available from sunrise to sunset with 7$ fee. There are many sand volleyball courts too. We loved our time there and will visit it soon.

Beautiful beach with plenty of things to do. There are volleyball areas, trail for walking, jogging and biking. Places to eat and hangout. Gets crowded even in the morning.

Extremely neat and clean beach of Los Angeles, loved the vibe of the beach, felt extremely relaxed. Restrooms are available. You can view Santa Monica pier from this beach, the water is crystal clear and the sound of waves will make the ambience so amazing, I recommend visiting this beach if u are in LA.

Santa Monica is definitely one of our favorites beaches! 😍 It has really has golden sands, there is a huge area to enjoy sports, beach games, relax, rest, have drinks or simply lay down and enjoy the sun! The beach is delicious, water temperature is just perfect (or at least it was in summer). The pier is beautiful and it has a great vibe and a lot of things to do and eat or drink 👍 There are many restaurant, bars and small stores in a huge side walk, perfect to ride bikes, rollerblades, or walk ;0)

Nice place to relax, take a swim, watch the sunset or take a beautiful picture. Also pier is close by with some food options as well. I would recommend to plan 3-5 hours for this place, depending if you like the beach, waves and getting your feet wet.

We spent one evening at this place , nice outings, very good view of the skyline and beach . it has amusement rides also over there and many restaurants etc . it has long neat beach.

There is always a moment in the day when you can relax on the beach. The best, in the morning with the fresh breeze of the sea or in the evening at sunset, magical, enchanting and sometimes cold! You can swim, the water is surprising, be careful with the waves that can put the little ones on the sand. Otherwise it is magic a beach like this one in some miles of the city.

Really enjoy this place. Visited about 2 years ago and it’s much better with things slowly opening back up. Very inviting and get to see so many shops and restaurants.

Enjoyed the location, scenery, and food. Parking can be a pain and the food was a bit pricey for what you got but if you don’t mind it’s not bad by any means. Overall it can be a moderately cheap time or very expensive depending on how you decide to go about it.

I love Santa Monica, nice safe clean beach and downtown, always crowded with fantastic native and visitors and tourist that are respectful outstanding outfits they wear fashionable men women boys girls kids and babies are pleasant and having fun best time of our lives,,,, God bless Santa Monica police for our safety and bless the life guards watch out for us and bless the vendors for their best services. My wife and I visited for a couple days never been pretty cool place very clean always nice weather considering we got rained on for a day and a half we stayed at the Huntley Hotel for 5 days great location 5 minute walk to the beach plenty to do 35 minute drive to the Hollywood Hillside 30 minute drive to Beverly Hills 5 minute bike ride to Venice Beach already looking a book our next stay in Santa Monica possibly Airbnb this time

It is a great walking area with stores, cafes and restaurants with a great vibe and only 8 minutes from Santa Monica Pier. You can see people play musical instruments or singing.

Great spot to take pictures at night with all the carnival lights and neon signs! Ride tickets are pretty pricey but that's to be expected. The fishermen at the pier were a lot of fun to hang around and talk to, one even let my nephew hold a crab he caught! Many street vendors, musicians, and tons of food and gift shops. Definitely worth swinging by if you're in the area and looking for something to do with the kids.

$12 adult ticket for full 10 min ride. or get a $40 adult wristband for unlimited we went around about 4-5 times. It was a fun time and a great way to see the entire pier and surrounding beach.

Maybe the best area of Los Angeles, I'm delighted with Santa Monica... You can spend the whole day on the coast, more in the city itself which is amazing. The food is phenomenal in the restaurants, the ice creams are excellent, lots of interesting things for children - and everyone is happy! Next to the Pier at the entrance to the city, there is a huge parking lot.

An excellent place to hang out for the day. Get some sun, ocean breeze, play in the sand/Pacific Ocean, ride a coaster, farris wheel, bumper cars, or other rides, or have some fun trying to win some stuffed animals. Catch a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants or snack locations on and around the pier.

4.3⭐️ San Diego native so beaches are a normal for me. The tourists are definitely a normal thing for me. But this was SUPER crowded. There was just a lot going on I guess. It was a really nice day though, and we grabbed some food and walked around for a while. Would I go back? Probably not. It’s just a little amusement park at the beach🤷🏾‍♀️ we have that in SD. I don’t need, or want, to do that drive again just to go to the beach 🤣 but if your visiting from out of town and that’s what you want, it’s a cool place to hangout for the day.

The famous Santa Monica Pier! Fun for tourists with kids, this pier offers a variety of rides and food. There is an arcade as well. There's even things like a hang time challenge bar for adults. It is a long walk to the boardwalk though so rental scooters are a good option. For the pier itself, grab a popcorn and enjoy!

Great place for the family. Arcade was as fun today as it was when I was a kid. Games for kids and adults. Advice: check the weather and bring a jacket if necessary. Can get extremely chilly at night even on warm days.

Pacific Park amusement park is fun and very busy. We were there on a Friday night and it was packed.. some long lines, fortunately the park is geared towards young families so the coasters was much more busy then the wheel and we were able to get on that without too much waiting.. great views from the wheel for sure, especially that sunset was just starting. Fun but geared towards families with younger children.

Iconic place of Santa Monica, LA, and the West coast in general. It’s not too much spectacular (in terms of views or architecture), but the vibes are cool. There are some gift shops, other entertainment attractions (rollercoaster, ferry wheel, etc).

What a great experience for people of all ages to experience! We've come from across the U.S. and this is one of the places we wanted to take our daughter. The people at the ticket booth and taking care of all the rides were kind, helpful, and energetic. My daughter really enjoyed her visit, and though she didn't meet the height requirements for all the rides, she loved the ones she could. We are grateful that was checked because many rides would have been unsafe for her had she been shorter and younger. Every ride was stable and secure. The seat belts were clean and new, and nothing we rode had frazzled or frayed threads. I watched the process of each ride controller, and I was impressed to see that it was clear, they were present, and focused. I appreciate the process and for the safety of my daughter and my husband. I'm grateful for it. There were several games to play, vending machines for drinks and food, vendors along the other end of the pier selling churros, art, handmade items, musicians playing music, people dancing, laughing, talking, and a beautiful array of people from all over the world participating. It was breathtaking. It was the Pacific shoreline, fun, joy, and loving art and living art in every way possible.

Views were incredible of Ocean and Beach. Park was filled with homeless and sheltered like urine. Not sure how locals could walk and run, but they just went about there business. Sad to see this once great place to go regularly as a kid turn into a mix of the extreme upper and lower financial groups. Guess if you're rich you don't have to see the problem as you drive your convertible Porches and Lambos.

Wonderful park. Large green area. Perfect for walks, jogging or dog walking. Great view over the ocean especially for sunsets. Very often you can see here musicians playing life music. It brings very nice ambience. I give four stars because towards the pier park isn’t that well maintained and cleaned.

Always worth a stroll if you’re in the area. Early mornings are calm but filled with runners. Evenings are a beautiful time to watch the sunset and the homeless nestled in for the night.

The narrow park is on a high land above the ocean. It has a tree lined walking path along Ocean Ave, and great viewpoints of the ocean. There are stairs to get down to the beach. The park is clean, there are, however, some homeless people loitering in the park.

Beautiful view, great walking areas, separate for bikes and pedestrians which is a big plus. Very clean and calm. Looks safe too. Not too many people out when I came as the weather was a bit chilly.

I visited here with family during some unseasonably cold weather in February . We bundled up on the only sunny day on my vacation and made our way through the park walkway . The views of the ocean were lovely . They have a huge issue with rodents here ....tons of squirrels and rats. They ran in and out of the shrubs looking for food from passersby. There are also many many many unhoused people laying in the grass , laying on the benches etc. This is not an area I would go to by myself ...I didn't feel safe.

Love this busy, but clean park! Parking after 6 pm on weekdays is free on the meters. Sunset time is spectacular and quite busy. Be sure to check out the rose garden.

Nice place to visit after or before the beach. It is like a small mall yet it has almost everything you would need. We usually stop by here for a break to relax, to eat and to shop if we see something we like. This is a dog friendly place and many people visit with their pets. I love this policy. It is not too crowded most of the time and it give a very relaxed atmosphere extended from the beach to here. It is cooler here for some reason and if it gets too hot, you can eat here and enjoy the AC. The malls around this also have AC. Santa Monica Place is the place you don’t have too much pressure walking and it provides high end and luxurious products for your preference. I personally like this place and design. The location is also a plus. Just walk from the beach, and you are from Malibu to Beverly Hills kind of feeling.

It was a great experience to visit Santa Monica place. I'd enjoyed trying the Ferris wheel and the ice cream funnel cake. I'd taken some hilarious photo booth photos that will be going into my scrapbook. All I have to say is that I'd tried out 2 photo booths and one of them has better quality Photoshop than the other. Definitely a fun experience overall.

Cute outdoor mall. Due to COVID, you need to make an appointment to get in for some luxury boutiques such as LV and HUGO BOSS. Otherwise they will put you on a wait list. But while waiting you have so many other things to see! The street performance were really fun to watch. So lively, but peaceful.

Took the family for a day of shopping and a nice lunch. Nothing like a day in sunny California surrounded by loved ones. Totally blessed. Plus I got my steps in just walking around

It's the famous tourist spot in LA for sure. There will definitely be a lot of crowd here and that's the fun. There are few rides for kids on the pier. There is some public parking spot for a nominal price and then you can walk to the pier. Fun place for kids for sure. Definitely recommend this place.

This is a huge amazing place full of open spaces and cool outdoor furniture, easy to access to all stores from different parking areas and levels.. by far my favorite Mall in LA 😀

We were seated pretty quickly even though the place gets very very busy at peak hours. The servers were running here and there to take orders to put the food on table. Great and quick service. The food comes out really hot and accurate. The taste is just right. Everything we ordered was delicious. I’d recommend this place.

Delicious! I highly recommend the Chicken Alabama Linguine Pasta! So flavorful and perfectly cooked. Even the chicken is flavorful itself. The only thing is that the salmon wasn’t too good. It was ok :/ . But definitely eat here while you enjoy the ocean view! The atmosphere is so joyful.

It’s been some time since our last meal at Bubba Gump, so we decided to revisit. The service was commendable, and while the food was fairly standard without any standout dishes, the breathtaking sunset view by the beach truly set a special ambiance. Despite the long gap since our last visit, it seems the menu hasn’t evolved much. Still, the spectacular beachfront setting made the experience memorable. Overall, it was a good experience, but not exceptional in terms of food.

I would love to go back with my family. Their favorite is 🦐, the best!!!!. I love their salad. The steak is fine according Their fish and chips is ordinary, fish has thick coating and not crispy, not worth the price. The steak is average, calamari is good. Great place , very good service, all the staff are friendly and willing to help. Nice view!

Great view for the world famous Santa Monica Beach and Pier. A great place to enjoy sunset as well as the great food. it's nice to make shrimp in different styles. Both the garlic and canjun style fascinates me. Also the steak 🥩 is far beyond my expectations. Kid menus are special designed for children. The atmosphere is really good while the price is acceptable. Many family dinner holds in the place after touring the beach. Worth a try.

Food was great and fairly priced. Staff excellent. Bathrooms clean. About five beer on draft. Seating inside or al fresco overlooking the parking lot. Still I'm unsure whether the movie Forest Gump was produced to promote the restaurant, or the restaurant launched to promote the movie.

I recently visited the restaurant and was captivated by the stunning view. However, I must admit that I was quite disappointed with the quality of the food. Despite the picturesque surroundings, the dishes fell short of my expectations. Regrettably, we found ourselves unable to finish most of the items we ordered. I hope the management works towards improving the culinary experience to match the beautiful ambiance.

Took my wife there for her surprise birthday. I love this place when it's just 2 of us, however I was trying to surprise my wife and they wouldn't seat the whole party till the WHOLE party got there. I explained to the host person what I was trying to do and still no! I eventually got them to seat BEFORE my wife got there because I kept stalling her best friend who was bringing her in so I could figure out how to get everyone seated. All in all it was a great night and they sang her a happy song.

Excited to get to this place. We just got there at the right time before they became so busy so there’s no waiting in line we got seated right away. We had fun in this place because of the motif of this restaurant from the movie “Forrest Gump”. The food was great and the place was more fun and had an energetic atmosphere… Diners can test their Forrest Gump knowledge right at their tables with trivia. The service is phenomenal, excellent experience. And there’s a souvenir store to buy some merchandise that you can take with you, various items like Run Forrest Run T-shirts, a box of chocolates or a cookbook full of classic recipes and etc. Surely be back with family & friends to hangout & enjoy this place. And the bonus of this location being in Santa Monica Pier, so you can enjoy the walk in the beach after eating a good meal. Make the parking fee worth it… Thank you Bubba Gump.

Met up with family here, it’s located at the entrance of the pier. Has inside and outside table options. I had the jambalaya and we ordered some Cajun shrimp for appetizers. The food was good and our waiter was friendly and attentive.

Great atmosphere, great service, love the hot towel at the end. Food was good, lobster Mac and cheese in my opinion was too cheesy, too much fancy cheese took the lobster taste away. The gumbo was a bit on the salty side. The potatoes and crab cake were the best. They have valet parking btw. Also great view duh!

Let's be honest, it's super pricey, but also extravagant and wonderful. Great service, extraordinary food, and assuming you sit where you can see the beach, a great view! Went there for my birthday and would do it again. If you're like me, you will want to donate to a charity after you eat there, just to help yourself feel better for spending so much on the food. But it would be worth it!

We came here for my birthday week at night. It was quiet and we had a nice view of the Ferris wheel. We had a New England clam chowder, a black chitarra pasta, a steamed main lobster, and a fish (but I can’t remember what it was). We asked them to bring the entrée out one at a time so we could enjoy but for some reasons everything we’re out at once. We had the lobster first and then the pasta and then the fish. The lobster and the pasta were delicious, but the fish was cold as we left it for the end. The service were good. The waiter came over to check up on us and refilled water. At the end, they had a nice birthday cake for me as well. It was a good birthday night for me.

I have seen this place for years, that includes living and visiting LA. My wife and I were craving seafood and decided to finally try this spot. Gosh, we didn't know what we were missing! We made a same day reservation on a Friday. We arrived early and we were able to order a drink in the bar area while they got our table ready. It didn't take long at all before we were seated next to a window with an ocean view. As for the food, we ordered the lobster cocktail, lobster salad, clam chowder, and the gumbo. The lobster cocktail came with lemon, butter, and was served over lettuce. I loved how fresh and meaty the lobster was! There was plenty of it on the salad too which was nice. The clam chowder was hot, creamy, and had soft pieces of potato and delicious clam. Finally, the star of the show was the gumbo! It was very flavorful, had plenty of meat, and two large pieces of delicious shrimp. I liked that the gumbo wasn't heavy, it had just the right amount of rice and a hearty base (not creamy and filling). The service was great and we were assisted and greeted by multiple people. I would definitely come back next time in Santa Monica!

First off. Our waiter Simon was the best. He was friendly, very helpful, and informative. It was my birthday and we wanted to share everything. He went above and beyond. We first had drinks. My husband ordered Simon's beer of choice and I got 99 problems and peach ain't one. Which we both enjoyed. Then appetizers are clam chowder, calamari, prawns, and crab cake. The main course was pasta, the whole lobster grilled, and Brussels. For dessert the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, and caramel or butterscotch pudding with salted mascarpone. Every single thing was delicious and fresh. The atmosphere was beautiful.

We are here while on family vacation looking for quality seafood. The staff were friendly and helpful. Charlie was our waitress and was amazing! True customer service with a smile! All the food was awesome, you gotta have the banana cake for dessert! We had: clam chowder, crab cake, yellow fin tuna, king crab legs, halibut, lobster Mac and cheese, and banana cake

Make sure you understand that for 1 lobster you will be spending minimum $130 - the smallest lobster they have is 3 lbs (you pay by $ per lb) so be prepared 2 people at least you will be spending $300. I would give this place 3.6 stars (not sure it’s worth the price they charge). I was not impressed with the chef (my seafood pasta was bland and watery). But Seafood was fresh and service was good.

Little bit more on the expensive side, but the food and service was good. The clam chowder was so fresh and delicious. However, the Lobster Mac 'N Cheese with Butter Poached Lobster & Lemon Breadcrumbs was a little tasteless and bland on my end, but they weren't cheap on the lobster which was tasty. I feel like the Mac 'N Cheese can definitely be improved to match the price of the dish since it was pretty expensive. I've been seated on the inside and outside and I definitely recommend the inside seating more if you want faster service and better view. The outdoor seating were nice as well, but service is a little slower.

Went here for my birthday today and I loved everything about this place ! Quick and efficient people and very friendly I felt welcomed ! The food was great but if you’re going to come here make sure that you have money lol it’s a little expensive but I can see why totally worth it ! Beautiful ocean front view and amazing menu!! Our server Blake was on point with great recommendations and very friendly. We dined for lunch and tried the Gulf Shrimp & Octopus Ceviche Tostada (YUMMY), the Yellowfin Tuna and the Grilled Day Boat Scallops- all were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. If you’re reading this review, you must try!

If you are ever in the Santa Monica area please stop by True Food Kitchen. The food is amazing, clean and fresh. You taste the freshness in every bite. The customer service is great and every team member has a great attitude and love to be of service. They also make great recommendations if you are a little indecisive on what to get. Steve is one of the mangers at True, he is very personable and makes sure his customers get a great dine-in experience at True Food Kitchen. I highly recommend this place. It's healthy food with flavor, time and effort! You won't regret it I been there three times in a row because it's that delicious.

Fantastic options to choose from. Enjoyed my meal! I recommend the Teriyaki Quinoa Bowl, I added on tofu which tasted great. I also had a wonderful pink lemonade. I highly recommend. I also had a slice of pizza and it was really tasty! Everyone really enjoyed their foods! They even have gluten free pizza is yummy!

Nice experience having dinner here. The food was served hot and the service was good, but it took more than 20 minutes to serve dessert. Sea Bass dish was delicious as was the pizza, though it was smaller than expected! The burger wasn’t a good one because it was dry, needed some sauce and it lacked flavor.

First time visiting in Santa Monica and a friend recommended this spot for dinner: it definitely didn’t disappoint. The restaurant is spacious and nice, our server was very helpful and kind. The food was clean and had lots of flavour. A little spicy for my own taste but gobbled a lot of water! We started with tuna crudo which was very good and for mains my hubby got the poke bowl and I got one of their bowls and added steak on top. All great fresh and tasty!

I have been there twice and love the place. The location is right next to the mall, and they always have a table available. Food is fresh. I love their burrata appetizer/salad. Pizza is delicious. Prices are reasonable. Would recommend the place.

A great place to eat delicious food that is actually good for you! I had the vegan mushroom and onion pizza on a gf crust with house made ricotta that was incredible. There was no sacrificing on flavors. It was delicious! They offer an impressive menu that includes something for everyone in your party, even for those people who ask, “how do you get your protein?” They were also offering a list of pink drinks to support the Barbie fans!

I went to see Barbie today, took all kinds of beautiful photos, and then found this restaurant. The temperature by the sea is really comfortable. I ordered salmon, burgers, and children's pasta.

To all those people who say healthy food cannot be tasty. Please visit this restaurant to get your mind blown. We ordered Charred Cauliflower, Organic Tuscan Kale Salad and a Vegan Double Cheeseburger. Charred Cauliflower - It was decent. Would rate 3/5 Organic Tuscan Kale Salad- 4/5. It was yum. I chose to eat salad over burger and I didn't regret my decision. Vegan Double Cheeseburger -4/5 It was scrumptious. It was served with side of sweet potato hash. We went on a weekend hence it was little crowded but got the table without reservation. Last but not least, their super friendly staff. I am rating their hospitality 5/5.

Great vegan Korean bowl and Smoked gouda turkey burger. Everything is really full of taste. They use ingredients from local farmers.

Great for brunch all day round, breakfast pizza and cocktails? Yes please! Great atmosphere, delicious food and drinks and courteous service staff. Party of 4 with some picky eaters all accommodated to taste. Always looking forward to visiting them when nearby to one of their locations.

I got the pesto pasta and I loved it. I took the photo almost at the end of my meal. It was a good size meal. They also offer some very good non-alcoholic (and alcoholic) drinks which we very much enjoyed. Edit: we went back with a group of friends and I had another great experience. We celebrated Valentines Day here. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated immediately. They were very accommodating. Our waiter was perfect and made excellent suggestions. They had a prix fixe 4 course menu: we had the raw oysters, calamari, clam chowder, 1.5 lb lobster, Chilean Sea bass with butternut squash gnocchi and rolls...we both had NY cheesecake with strawberry sauce. Almost forgot, as a Valentines day gift they gave us a wine stopper!! So sweet😊

We went to Water Grill yesterday in the afternoon. The floor staff Nicole was so friendly approaching us and introduced the menu to us with professionalism. She was so patient, cheerful and polite as well. The food was fresh and tasty. We had a great time there. Thank you Nicole and the chefs.

The only thing lacking here was the fried calamari. The rest, including the lobster roll and the jumbo shrimp louie salad was amazing. Great bread and butter too! Service was very nice and accommodating. The beach views are a nice added touch.

Parking- there’s valet right out front. We came for the seafood tower. Lots of fresh items and a tray of 6 sauces/condiments. The scallops were the only item that was already seasoned and I thought that was the best imo! Outdoor seating available outside with a view of the roaring cars and traffic passing by with the coast and ocean beyond that. Very touristy area. Heat lamps near every table that they will turn on near early evening. They only kept us warm if were were directly near it as there is no tent/awning/shelter overhead to trap the heat. Indoor seating has tables and booth seating. With a bar in the middle. Food The warm items weren’t the best. Stick to the fresh raw bar items.

We were pleasantly surprised by this waterfront seafood restaurant. While it may not boast 5-star cuisine, it exceeded our expectations, especially with their delicious oysters. The sushi was decent but not outstanding. The calamari was over cooked. What truly shone was our exceptional server and the fantastic view of the beach. It's an ideal spot for out-of-town visitors exploring the Santa Monica neighborhood. To top it off, the bread pudding with maple ice cream was a delightful way to conclude the meal.

I looked forward to surf and turf. So I had to compromise with the turf and shared the surf. Everything was delicious from the drinks, appetizers, side and both dishes. The wait staff were excellent. That would of been a five star. Would recommend it to anyone for the experience. The Water Grill need to update their menu on their website for me to love it.

Absolutely amazing experience! The service was friendly, the drinks were excellent, and the food was utterly delicious. I had two lovely cocktails as well as a whole New Zealand Pink Sea Bream with mashed potatoes. I would highly recommend dining here as you look out over the glistening ocean. Update: Gregorio is the most amazing, charismatic, kind, and talented person I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. He made my experience special each time I have visited the Water Grill and I will definitely be going back soon. Thank you so much Gregorio!

Excellent everything!! That's all that needs to be said, but I will elaborate. Service is spectacular. Cool atmosphere and an amazing view of the beach. Oysters are fresh, properly cleaned, and delicious. Steamed lobster was phenomenal. Spiny Australian lobster was amazing. No sides are needed, but the Carrots and Brussel sprouts were welcomed side dishes.

Had many seafood, steak and cakes. But best one there was the bread. I mean all dishes are okay for me not the really great but okay. And for the bead, it was outstanding. Very crispy outside and soft inside. Whipped butter was also very good. And I also liked the steak. Soft and juicy.

We came to Blue Plate Taco for lunch in the late afternoon. It was pretty busy but we still got a nice outdoor table with a good view of the street, the pier, and the beach area. All of the staff was very friendly to interact with. We ordered the shrimp tacos and the baja style fish tacos, both of which we chose to come with rice and slaw. I also ordered a pineapple agua fresca. Everything was really delicious and really hit the spot after a day of walking around. The tacos especially were very tasty.

The food and atmosphere was fantastic!! I really enjoyed my experience here. The waiter was cool however he quickly got flustered as I was asking about how he coded one of my drinks on the receipt and he quickly got a manager and that wasn't necessary. The manager came and quickly resolved the situation. I will definitely be back and encourage anyone to try this spot if you're ever in this area.

Beautiful restaurant with outdoor seating just opposite to Santa Monica beach 🏖 food was yummy and hot , we had chicken fajita , cheese quesadilla and lemonade . Service was quick and forgot the name of the person who brought us food he was friendly and polite . Salsa was yum 🤤.

Shrimp taco was very delicious. Tasted fresh. Nicely seasoned. I just wish i had 3 pieces of shrimp instead of 2 otherwise 4/5. Drinks were good priced and pretty strong 4/5 Service was nice and staff was friendly. Don't know who the gentleman that came up to us but I think he's the owner and I appreciate his hospitality 5/5

The food was fresh, authentic and absolutely delicious. The tacos at Blue Plate brought back memories of my many trips, and meals in Mexico City. Nothing fancy, and just damn good!!! Tony our waiter was friendly, funny and very attentive. The service was exceptional!!! A must try for anyone visiting Santa Monica.

Cute restaurant with an amazing vibe. We got seated right away and the service was very fast. Ordered the Barbacoa and shrimp tacos and it was wonderful. The beef brisket was super soft and tender and the shrimps were cooked to perfection. Potions sizes were good. The margaritas are one for the books and definitely pack a punch. Would stay there and drink all the drinks if I could because they were delicious.

Our party came on a Wednesday night. We sat on the patio. Waiter was extremely nice. The food came out quickly, but was on the cooler side of Luke warm. The presentation was beautiful, but the food was very bland and flavorless. Our bill was $170 for 3 person. It was overpriced and not worth $50. I would NOT suggest this establishment to anyone who was looking for a delicious meal. We will not be back. I gave one star simply for the waiter, because he was awesome….

My husband and I visited the LA coast for a few days in the summer of 2022 (from Texas) and Blue Plate Taco was suggested to us. We made reservations in advance and didn't have to wait long since we arrived earlier than the scheduled reservation. It was my favorite restaurant from our entire trip! The patio was the best place to sit - we were able to watch the sunset, people watch on Ocean Avenue, and enjoy a nice ambience after the sun went down. The cocktails and food were amazing! I suggest the lobster tacos. Plus, they are dog-friendly so I look forward to return with our family and two pups.

Nice place with good amount of seating. Highly recommend shrimp tacos and margaritas here. Service was pretty fast and efficient, and I appreciate option when you can pay with Apple Pay, without need to take away credit card from your wallet

Before watching Barbie, we stopped in for dinner at Blue Plate Taco. As we arrived we noticed a positive sign - every table was taken. Fortunately we had reservations and waited just a few moments before our table was ready for us. Passing the kitchen was an experience unto itself. Everyone in the kitchen was hustling and preparing various items. It was a tremendously high energy vibe that made the inside dining area feel warm and welcoming. Not to mention the smells coming from the various sizzling fajita plates dancing out of the kitchen. Although our server Kiyahn had been there only a few weeks, he had tremendous knowledge of the most delicious and popular dishes and was extremely patient handling our indecisiveness. After a few moments, we were ready to order and started with some refreshing Modelos on draft and the chips and guac and salsa flight. We chose the mojo de ajo, tropical, and guajillo, all of which were amazing in their own flavorful way. The mojo de ajo and tropical were my favorites. Before we knew it we finished all the chips and most of the guac and salsas. Keeping it on the lighter side, we decided to try the veggie tacos and the shrimp tacos. Both were filling and satisfying. The jicama, cucumber and red cabbage gave the shrimp tacos the perfect amount of texture. The crema and pesto drizzle added a wonderful savory element and enhanced the flavor of the seared shrimp. The veggie tacos were bursting with mushrooms, corn, kale, and various crumbly cheeses. The side of black beans and rice were just the right portion. By the end of our meals we were listing to one side. Between the service, ambiance, and overall staff’s dedication to a good night, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Blue Plate Taco and look forward to visiting again, this time for their impressive tequila and mezcal menu.
