La Concha is my one of my favorite beaches in the world. Id even go as far as saying its 10 times better then any beach in my hometown state of California. Clean white sand, plenty of space, and clear warm water. Perfect place for a couple days of relaxation and contemplation. Facilities include: *showers and footwash stations *benches and rentable chairs/umbrellas *bars and restaurants *life guards *bathrooms Anything not listen is within a block away. There were no pushy hustlers or obnoxious guests our entire stay at the beach. We absolutely look forward to returning.

Somewhat crowded when it's sunny and warm but considering it's in the city center. Beautiful view of the harbour, Santa Clara Island. The water is clean and not as cold as expected from the Atlantic Ocean. There are changing rooms free of charge under the board walk. Plenty of bars and restaurants.

Perfect beach for walking, riding bikes, taking a walk for your dog, swimming and so on. Very beautiful both daytime and nighttime.

Mesmerizing beach to sunbath, recharge your batteries and taking a cold swim. At the beginning nearer to the city it's more crowded to the end less, but the sand is also more rough there.

Upon arriving in San Sebastián, we went to this spot first. Very lovely beach with sparkling blue water. A huge marina and many street vendors. Cool area to walk around.

Very large and wide city beach. For surfing the spot is rather unsuitable because the waves outside must be very large, so that in the protected bay surfable waves arrive.

Iconic beach in the heart of the city. It was packed but it didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Really nice, family atmosphere. Very safe, with a lifeguard service running from 10am. The sea was calm, clean and not too cold in mid-July!

Beautiful sandy beach! Enjoyed it for the day and it weren’t too busy! Lost myself to the noose of crashing waves and sun on my face! A highlight of SB for me for sure

As a beautiful beach. . La Concha beach... Concha is in spanish language, means is seashell as similarity of the shape. As famous beach, many people enjoy the beach, you can just seat on park bench with the beach view or taking a stroll or do sport. Alongside the fine golden sand with its lenght more than 1.300 metres makes perfect beach for barefoot walk. It is also well-equipped and offers all sorts of services such as toilet, locker & changing room, and lifeguards if summer.

Beautiful crystal clear water much better than on the Mediterranean side. The beach is good, it's an ideal place for a swim, no wonder why thousands of people everyday here. And there are cafés, restaurants up on the street and a shady place you can sit just under the stair looking over the beach.

Easy level trekking (more like walking), easier if you have car 😁. Loved the views. There is small entrance fee and also the other activities for which you have pay small amount but for one time experience I think it’s okay. It’s best place for kids, the park is full of games and stuff for kids.

Great views and trails but nothing much on the top itself. Enjoy the ride up stopping at the various points along the way.

One of the best views in San Sebastian. It's a quick and cheap ride up on the funicular and the stunning view is well worth the trip. There's also a small carnival that would be fun for families.

What makes this mountain so special (compared to the other ones) that you have to pay 2.50€ for entrance?

A perfect place to 'get away'. There is a nice breeze for a hot day. Nice view and plenty of room to sit - need to bring food and drinks though. Gives a nice view of the beaches and a good walk. There is a restaurant as well.

A beautiful place. The view from here to the sea is just amazing. We spent little time there and returned.

Loved everything about this sculpture and park. Beautifully situated in a amazing location where land meets sea. Inspires though and reflection where one can see, feel, taste, and hear the power of the sea.

This is quite a wonderful spot. You can simple feel the nature force while the air is released with power from the special holes on the ground. Quite an experience)

This secluded little spot in San Sebastián/Donostia really lives up to its name. On very hot days it's simply refreshing - insanely enjoyable breezes course through here, which makes it really comfortable as a place to rest after a long walk.

You can take a light walk and get up to the monument of Jesus Crist. There is a bar half way, with a nice view. Take into account that it is crowded.

May 2023 A nice walk to the top with an amazing view of the city, especially on a clear day. We started our walk from the city centre and then went down on the other side. We were completely lost. We ended up in the port area, and it wasn't too easy to find out way back. You know the streets are crazy and nothing east/west, north/south. Always on a diagonal or curving. A taxi ride back to our starting point saved us. Always an adventure!

Magical place with winding pathways, hidden staircases, overgrown statues, and remnants of mosaic tile floors being taken back by nature. It's about the journey and not the destination. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water.

Fantastic panoramic views of the city. A must see on your first visit. Try to climb on a clear, sunny day to best experience it all. You would be mad to not enjoy a beverage on top!

Beautiful scenic view from the top. Worth the relatively quick walk. You don't need hiking shoes but flip flops won't do. You could probably summit in 30-40 minutes, but I'd suggest a leisurely hour each way.

Great mix of museum and aquarium tanks. First you will learn about the first time humans sailed around the earth, followed by local fishing and boat racing tradition. Then they switch to natural history ans slowly move towards the fish in the aquarium. Especially the 1.8 million liter tank with local fish is amazing. Can recommend a visit.

A must do. A fabulous experience. Lots of things beyond the aquarium. Really interesting maritime history of the area and stunning miniature dioramas. Main tank with sharks is outstanding. Gift shop is disappointing. Poor quality fridge magnets, very few things with aquarium name on it and no guide book. 14 Euro for adults...absolutely worth it.

Fabulous aquarium. Loved the aquatic tunnel and the added ship museum for historical context. Great place to spend with family.

Great fun especially with kids. First floor is a maritime ⚓ museum. Later on you'll have the aquarium. Please be aware the tunnel is only 2m high in the center.

A really fun aquarium to visit for both locals and tourists. There is a very range of sealife including sharks, colourful fish, seahorses and even strange looking fish. The aquarium is well designed so that visitors see a lot throughout the experience. The aquarium also offers a sneak peak into the naval history of the area with cool 3rd figures of ships and accompanying historical narratives with interesting facts. A very entertaining visit and it's also English friendly.

It's quite expensive considering what you can see inside. There's no much variety of animals inside: some jellyfish, fishes, seahorses, sharks and no much more. The other half of the visit is about boats and fishermen. 13€ for a visit of around 60mins.

On this very rainy, cold day, we decided to visit the aquarium here in San Sebastián. It’s quaint, easily done in 1-1.5 hrs. The first half is maritime history, followed by the actual aquarium portion. Nice activity out of the rain, although a bit cramped when everyone has the same idea. Tickets are a bit steep at €14 without options for family of 5, etc.

We visited the aquarium on a day when the weather wasn't particularly good. What a fantastic and informative experience. Learnt a lot more of the history of Donostia-San Sebastian. Great displays and the marine life of display was amazing. Great for all ages.

Nice aquarium. It’s also a ship/fishing/whaling museum. Big enough that it never gave me the feeling it was busy. (Mid summer vacation). Entree fees are good for what you get. Near the old town of San Sebastián and surrounded by good restaurants.

I went to this place because I thought it was Michelin starred. I was wrong. And thank goodness. The food was OK.. The service less than stellar. In all fairness, I think the young woman helping me was new and being trained, but all in all, I did it and don't need to do it again. Oh, they do have a good wine list!

We made reservations and they seated us in a secluded section with a more formal service. You cannot order pintxos in this area even if you order from their menu. Had turbot which was tasty but lean meat. My son’s steak was cooked perfectly. The pulpo tasted great but could use a little improvement on presentation. Great experience

By far the best meal we had in San Sebastián. The flavours of the crab salad and turbot were incredible, the service fantastic and whilst it wasn’t cheap, we spent approx 120 euros for the two of us including a bottle of wine, coffees and service. For a meal that good, well worth it. Also a really pretty restaurant.

Super fast, easy, and also the best meat-oriented pintxos I tried in the city, the duck and T-bone ones in particular were fantastic! Great pork cheaks and wet risotto. And the foiegras if course!!! Highly recommend!👌

6 Uni was good, really nicely presented. Pepper stuffed with crab meet also good. Shrimp brochette good as well. Some of the other spots around here prob better

I'd heard great things about this place but personally, I didn't enjoy it as much as other places nearby. The steak pintxos and risotto were delightful but the shrimp skewer was a bit dry for my liking. I did go quite late at night though so perhaps it was just bad timing.

Great seafood-based pintxos. I just point at things to order, so I don’t really know what they are but they tasted very nice. The one with a slice of salmon and caviar on the bed of chopped-up crab meat was a particular hit for me. I regret not ordering two of those… Tortilla (omelette) was a bit stale, but I guess it had been sitting there for a while.

Great selection of hot and cold pintxos! Everything we ordered were delicious. The best one we had was the brochette de magret de canard, the sauce was perfectly made! The risotto with mushrooms was also really good. It's a popular pintxos place so expect it to be quite crowded at peak times.

After stopping in for pintxos and seeing the crowds and pieces of meat I decided to come back the next day for the steak. All the pintxos we had we're great, the doie and jamon both classics done well. The steak was cooked impeccably and served with chips, do be aware, the min they cut is around 800-1kg which is a big as meal for one.

We had fish and it was beautifully cooked. Waiter was having a bad day but the lady making reservations was extremely pleasant. Everything costs here, even a bit of bread. Bring your own atmosphere !

Great place. The restaurant has two sections. A sit down restaurant section that looks great and there’s a a standing tapas option. We had a couple tapas, all very nice and we were taken care of by a friendly bar tender. Perfect to grab something quick and get a more authentic authentic tavern feel without compromising on style

Excellent Spanish tapas that are mind-blowing. Ordered peppers stuffed with txangurro, lamb brochette, squid brochette, and Russian salad. Lamb brochette was especially good, with wrapped ham bringing juice and fat, and green chilli being a great touch. The squid brochette was also cooked extremely well, tender inside and crunchy outside. The coarse grain salt was also extremely tasty on those tapas. Strongly recommended!

Very bad experience. They started with serving warm white wine. Service is below average. All dishes are far below average. There are flies all over the dishes. Canned asparagus for 17euro? Avoid at all costs. I am talking about restaurant, maybe bar is better.

Grilled beef sirloin is the must-eat-food here. It was soooo good and big. If you want to have a seat, it’s better to book in advance.

Tasting menu, amazing food and good service. English is still a bit of a challenge and that takes away something from the experience if one does not talk Spanish. Great respect for produce: little done to let them shine. Loved the amuse with chicken, the avocado ice cream was something out of this world and the duck was absolutely perfectly cooked. The marbled egg something to try again. Good wines as well to complement the dinner.

A ⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience! Our expectations were high but they were met in all aspects. The food wine pairings were perfect! I very much loved the sweet txakoli wine with the apple dessert. This place was well worth making a reservation 3 months in advance!

I first went to arzak 6 years ago and I always regarded it as the best meal of my life, and I've been very lucky to have visited quite a few other 2&3 star restaurants since then. However, I felt the meal today was a little disappointing. On the plus side the staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and very accommodating with my wife unable to attend at the last minute. On the negative side the plates just felt a little flat and bar the egg dish none of them felt really memorable. The biggest issue for me was the tempo, tasting menu including coffee done in a little over an hour which just felt very rushed.

The food is as great as advertised. Every course exceeded our expectations. Great service and very friendly. Elena even visited our table twice. I didn’t know that I needed fried garlic soup or corn ice cream in my life until today. Ignore the negative reviews and trust the experts at Michelin

Food, Pairing Wines, and Services were just above the charts! Basque cuisine was beautifully presented and the wine pairing is the one not to be missed!!!! Every dish and wine were just so amazingly working together. We were so over the moon when we left the restaurant after this wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Customer service was exceptionally bad! The waiter threw the menu on the table. And when asked what wine he’ll recommend for the dishes, he dismissively said whatever I want. What’s the point of a wine connoisseur. The worst Michelin service of all time! How did this kind of waiter/service even make it to the Michelin list? Total disappointment.

Hasn’t disappointed on any visit. From the extreme quality and presentation of the food to the perfect wine suggestions and the most attentive service I’ve experienced.

Carve out 3+ hours for your lunch. It is a Michelin three star dining experience. There is only a tasting menu, which is excellent. Some of the highlights, after service, which was fantastic; a brined tartare fish (mackerel) w Jerusalem artichokes , the pigeon, along with monk fish, and the hors d' oeuvres, were thoughtful and a blend of simplicity and complexity. The staff is kind enough to give you a quick directive on each dish, Deserts were light, and true art, but we are partial to salt. You will need a reservation, and know there is only tasting menu, which with out wine pairing is 240€, I believe the wine pairing was 430€, took us a bit by surprise for lunch. They are a fair amount of casually dressed tourists, no stress on attire.

If I could give 6 stars I would! Arzak was the most incredible fine dining experience of my life so far. The food was of course exceptional with the pigeon being a highlight: it was outstanding. What elevated Arzak was the homely, friendly feel: it was a joyous evening in which I not only enjoyed the food, but smiled throughout because of the friendly and good humoured service. We had the tasting menu, but this was tailored to ensure we both had individual experiences; albeit shared. Without question one of the highlights of my gastronomic journey so far. Thank you!

One of the best pintxos place in Donostia. Creative but simple. Focused firstly on top quality produce and secondary on adding a bit more to the classics. Great technique. Meats are super tasty and tender, sea food is amazing, so are veggies. Highly recommended. Tip: come shorty after opening to even find a space. It’s super popular and overcrowded.

i can’t describe how tasty the food is! every dish was excellent! we tried the crispy pork, the codfish orzo, the blood pudding and the beef tongue! fast and easy to communicate with the friendly stuff ! it’s a must

Absolutely very fun and delicious experience. Tongue was the best part of it. Unfortunately many items were sold out at the time we arrived. Octopus was good, but will try grilled version of it. Update: grilled octopus is amazing, but the cheek is out of this world. Razor clams are soooo flavorful. Tongue is still the best, in my opinion.

Must say this place is really an experience, food quality is top, we ate carrileras, pulled pork style pork, some grilled octopus, not my favorite but still I don’t like grilled food so that probably helps. Finally ‘cochinillo’, served with a crusty cover and some jam, olive 🫒 sauce that is a bit sweet and sour at the same time. Overall, very good 🤩

Very good place for authentic food from the Basque country. Concise menu but with the right alternatives to spend a great night Or lunch in the company of friends and family. Prices accessible to everyone. The team very Friendly and helpful. You have to arrive a little earlier to wait for a table. Everybody wants to eat here. That's why don't miss it.

The veal cheeks (carrerillas) are INCREDIBLE. You must try them. The octopus was also delicious. If you would like to be seated on the terrace, just ask them when you order. I wish we would have realized that before. We came for lunch and I would recommend going then. Dinner time gets fairly busy.

Loved the food so much that my friends and I came back twice!! It’s definitely hard to get a table to sit and eat especially if you’re ordering almost everything off the menu. You can definitely stand and drink right outside the restaurant or just be cramped in the bar with a bunch of strangers & travellers (this is a better option). All I can say is to try everything off the menu. Their blood sausage and pigs ears were my favourite. Razor clams & pork belly were also my top contenders. I think they change the menu depending on the season as well but this place is not to be missed when you come to San Sebastián!

Love it! The food is amazing, portions great (you can choose between multiple sizes) and the service is good. If you’re around, don’t miss it. It was super busy though, many people waited in line - it does help to come a little early and take a seat at one of the tables outside.

The food was delicious. We ordered the veal cheeks, cod, clams, pork, roasted creamed beets, and drinks. The servings were smaller than the norm and especially for the prices. Unfortunately, what was worse was that we waited a while for a table outside, then we waited more to get our table cleaned to sit down, then to get our order taken, then to clear off our plates, and then to bring us our bill. I saw only one waiter and he always appeared super busy. I walked in twice and both bartenders quickly offered service but I shouldn't need to walk in when the waiter should be accessible.

We had a variety of pinxhos including foie, octopus, crispy pork and ox tongue. All exceeded expectations. Friendly, playful yet efficient service. A nice San Sebastián pinxho experience indeed.

Such fun vibes from this little place, just off the main street is such a gem. Food is reasonably priced, quick to come out and the waiters are lovely despite the crowds. Eat standing up at the long bar inside, or if you'd prefer a seated dinner, they have some outdoor seating if you order medium and large plates.

Once in San Sebastian, the best bar I've ever tasted! You can enjoy very good food in a very busy restaurant and with a fast working staff. I was able to experience the local atmosphere. Very satisfied. I would like to go back when I come to San Sebastian.

After reading all about the Pintxos at Bar Sport, we are finally here to try it out for ourselves. First of all it was very packed inside, the place is small and holds about 3 tables that seats about 10 people, the rest were standing at the bar or outside that has about 2 barrel like table to rest your drink or food. It was a bit confusing at the beginning of how to order. The menu is small and translated in different languages. It's helpful to ask other customers how they ordered to have an idea. The servers are very busy and trying to help out everyone, so try to get their attention once you know what you would like to order. The Pintxos are very delicious, and so it the beef cheeks😋. I would definitely recommend this place if you visit San Sebastian.

Fish pintxos were very delicious. Grilled squids were the best I’ve ever had. This is our 3rd time in Bar Sport, one 7 years ago, twice this time, this place never frustrates.

Best pintxos we had in San Sebastian! Txipirones were excellent, but it was the cream of uni/sea urchin that I'm still thinking about a few days later. Be prepared to fight for space, it's deservedly popular. The much celebrated tempura prawns were average, but that was the only disappointment, and a mild one at that.

Great pinchos, friendly service! Great spot in the city, fresh dishes that are delicious. The bravas, calamari , and foie gras were amazing. Paired with a nice beer or cider. Has a few indoor tables to sit at which is nice too. Oddly, not a lot of sports on the televisions :) but who could pay attention to anything but the food anyway! Can’t wait to go back!

Fun fact: Bar sport does not play sport - just a name! Tiny hamburgers for the win. So beefy and delicious and comes with a small order of shoestrings. Wish we had time and stomach space to try more as many things look good.

One of the must visit places in San Sebastian. Crema de erizo, crepe with crabmeat, grilled squid all delicious! Very friendly and efficient service. Order off the menu. There will probably be a line outside- give your name to the waiter and he will call you when a table is ready.

It was a shame that they didn’t have sea urchins when I visited in September. The price is reasonable and the food they have is tasty. Shrimp frites, foie gras, grilled squid are what we eat. Everything was delicious. At night, this bar is very very crowded. I have good news that this bar is open from 11am. This bar is also good for breakfast or lunch.

This is my second time in San Sebastián and I went out of my way to find this place again. Excellent pinxtos at a fair price. The patatas bravas are among the best you’ll find in San Sebastián. Thé foie gras was also quite decent. A bit crowded but otherwise great service and ambiance. Highly recommended.

Do yourself a favour and order the squid stuffed with crabmeat and grilled fois gras. The steak skewer and sea urchin cream were also excellent. Service was also good compared to other bars. One of the best pintxos we’ve had in Old Town so far.

This place is never not packed. The mini hamburgers are great but do so well with a touch of ketchup, the calamari is superb and the picante anchovy pintxos is amazing. Well worth a second visit if you can get in

Our first destination when we got to San Sebastián! My wife reserved days ahead and that turned out to be a good move. Difficult to get seats. The beef cheeks is a must try. We also got the grilled octopus. The pork was very crispy but a little sour for me. Good service

Delicious pinxtos, authentic atmosphere and amazing service from Jean-Pierre! I was looking for the perfect beef cheek and I found it! Along with some of its tasty tasty friends, the pork belly and the chicken with dragon sauce!! I was asked which one was my favourite, I honestly could not choose, they were all delicious and with gorgeous presentation! I absolutely recommend Atari, it’s worth the wait!

Was a little bit let down after seeing the reviews. It was absolutely delicious, but compared to everything else on offer in San Seb, it was just ok (especially the pricing). Obviously it has great views and is more modern than other bars... Just depends on what you want!

Amazing place, excellent and tasty food, nice bar. If you are lucky will find a table, but you can also order at the bar. I did try a couple of "tapas", all very tasty, as starters. As main dish I had the "pulpo a la plancha", so good, you have to try it, awesome dish. They have a lot of drinks: beer, wine, cocktails. Highly recommended.

Absolutely packed later at night, but you eventually get a spot to stand at the bar. The staff behind the counter are really friendly and love a chat. The food here is great. We had the Beef Cheek and Mash - really rich but delicious. Good Keller beer on tap and plenty of Cava and other mixer drinks.

Delicious dishes but on the pricier side. We enjoyed the slow cooked egg dish and carrillera but the foie was a bit too sweet for our taste. Really friendly service.
