A beautiful place to visit whether u like history, art, or just want something to do. Beautiful views with information attached as well as a nostalgic feeling made this such a good visit. Fun for couples and families with plenty do enjoy for all. I truly recommended it for anyone visiting.

Beautiful old fort with great views and cool gift shop. Lots of hills and steps so leave grandma at home. People were using the lawn to exercise and fly kites and run their dogs and even on a Sunday was not crowded. They have a cute gift shop and bathrooms with a water fountain.

Beautiful fort with tons of information. There's tons of areas up front to have a picnic or fly kites on the lawn. There's also marked areas to explore and walk around. The fort offers a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean and is a must visit in old San Juan. They do accept the National park annual pass for entry as well.

Wow Wow Wow, to see such a Beautiful Place and learn the history was Amazing. The green field where people good just relax and take in the sunset was Stunning! This is one of the places we definitely wanted to see while in this Beautiful Country and it will not disappoint. Best place in town to see the sunset for sure!!! The inside closes at 4:30 so make sure you get there in time to take the tour.

The old city of San Juan is a remarkable city to explore its architecture and interesting facts full of historical information. I enjoyed very much and certainly visit it again.

Beautifully maintained National Park. It is quite a walking the castle. We went on a hot day. Take water with you. It costs almost 5.00 a bottle in the gift shop. It is ALOT OF WALKING AND CLIMBING STAIRS! A wonderful experience, but as a recovering knee surgery patient, if you have mobility issues or are sensitive to heat, this may be a good one to skip.

As you can see, the views here are absolutely beautiful! The walk through El Morro was really cool, especially seeing all the changes the structure has gone through over its many battles. The surrounding area is a nice place to relax and maybe even have a picnic. Families were here flying kites on the grass, which were sold in a little cart nearby. It's $10/adult to walk through and you also get entrance into the other Castillo down the way.

Amazing experience at the San Juan El Morris fort. Walk back in time to the Spanish colonial days, explore all the faucets of the fort, back from the 1500s till mid 1900s. The audio tour is nice. They accept national park annual passes. Make sure you have sunscreen and glasses though 😎

Bring your walking shoes! There are lots of steps, but the views are incredible. The entire place is well maintained, toilets too. There is a little gift shop with water and Gatorade (you'll need it on a hot day, not too much shade here). We went with two pre-teens who loved to run around and climb. A must see if you are in the area!

This view was only a 5-minute walk from my hotel! Restaurants and shopping everywhere. Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of United States however it feels like you stepped into a different country and century. Highly recommend this destination to anyone wanting to stay within the US and still want "another world" experience.

Difficult to find parking. Plan to arrive early (before 10 am). We visited at 1 pm and it was as hot and humid as you can imagine. Nice place and well maintained. $10 per person to enter fortress and castle. Be ready to walk. Lots of areas to take good pictures. I found parking .5 mile away for $5 per hour. Only bad thing was that the movie projector was not working. But great historic place.

Great place to visit and catch a sunset. Also just a short walk to many good bars and restaurants. Parking can be an issue if you choose the wrong time to visit as the street parking fills up fast as does the main underground pay parking garage serving the area. The site is very walkable and offer great views in nearly every direction.

This place has so much history. Being water if going during the summer. The tunnels were really interesting. The architecture is amazing, along with the beautiful view. We even spotted manatees playing in the ocean from a tower up above! Just beautiful!

So excited, I got a puerto rican recipe book and cant wait to try out recipes! The gift shop was a nice spot to shop and cool down. We also were able to use my husband's veteran national park pass. That was a nice free bee. My one complaint would have to be the informational movie theater, it smelled moldy in there.

Amazing fort and construction!! Very well preserved. Has some fantastic views of the seas and reminds you well of the Second World War period how life would have been for those defending.

One of my favorite forts I’ve ever been to before! I really enjoyed roaming around for hours seeing all the beautiful places features it has to offer! Definitely recommend checking out early when it first opens so you get the chance to see it by yourself without the amount of tourists it’ll get during the day! One of the best parts of the tour around San Juan!

For all you history buffs, you will love it. For all you picture addicts, the views on top the fort are amazing! $10 admission, free for military with your ID plus 3 people with you!

Parking around here is the hardest issue. Pretty much all lots are full pretty early. Don't underestimate this. The area is beautiful, but has steep walkways all around. Noticed several elder and overweight folks having difficulty, especially in the heat. So bring water and take it slow (they sell cold water bottles where you buy tickets).

One of the must visit place in Puerto Rico. Amazing view of the ocean and the city. It also has nice lawn for kite flying and play area for kids. This place also offers nice short scenic trails. Parking is limited so one has to walk but it is worth it. I saw couple of large alive iguanas over there as well!!

This is the main fort that you see in all the visitors guides. It is in great shape and has many rooms to cost and exhibits to look at. The views from the torets are great and the views of the city and the ocean are spectacular. There is also a grassy area in front of the fort that is used for flying kites, and there generally are people there selling kites if you or your children want to join in. There is also a cemetery very near by that is an easy walk to and very nice. Well worth your time to walk up to this fort.

Historic parks of Puerto Rico. I enjoyed so much going back to the island and visiting this historic site. It was humid, but with the ocean breeze, it was somewhat bearable. Go with comfortable shoes and light clothes. All the views are worth the walking. You can buy tickets for $10 pp and go to both sites.

What can be said that anyone else hasn’t. So let me take a different approach. It’s going to be hot so bring water with you and wear a hat. Cost $10 USA to e tee but kids are free. Wheelchair accessible in most parts. Parking is a pain so leave the car and walk from wherever you can. Photographers dream so think outside the box when snapping. Be respectful that others will want to take similar photos so snap and love along. That’s it. More great things to see further along. So keep walking.

This place was awesome. Great signs and informative displays. It was a great experience to freely roam around the fort and look around. All sorts of little stair cases and rooms to see with beautiful views of the ocean and old San Juan at every window. It's a worthwhile visit for 10 dollars if you've never been before. It's very open air, so wear sunscreen if you have sensitive skin because you'll be in the sun a decent amount. Very impressive fort though and a fun visit.

A MUST see! Military and vets get in free so make sure you either have the pass or your ID on you. It’s VERY hot so bring water or they have a gift shop with cold water and Gatorade. They also have a massive fan in one of the rooms by the bathrooms if you need to cool down. Amazing views, windy and just picturesque!

Great historic experience!!! A very well preserved monument. Abundant information is provided on site. Restrooms and store are available. Tall walls and roofs without handrails or fall protection are accessible; keep your children and elders closely supervised.

Prepare to climb many stairs. It is really cool seeing a castle that is so old, there are some great views of the ocean. Make sure to wear good and comfortable shoes. Do NOT park in any zone that is yellow or any areas that are clearly marked, make sure you car is fully parked in parking eligible space.

I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed this site. It is listed as $7.00 per adult, but disabled veterans and National Park pass holders get free entry. This place is steeped in history and it takes at least an hour to see everything. In addition to the history, the massive fortifications are unbelievable. I am sure we could not replicate them today, at any price. I could not help but think about the cost it took for those who built it, or be inspired by what humans can achieve. In addition to the history and the impressive fortifications is the unbelievable views. All and all I recommend setting a side a day to spend in this historic section of San Juan.

Beautiful place! We came on a Monday, the day before 4th of July. There was no wait for tickets. There are bathrooms inside as well as a decent gift shop with drinks. It was SO hot that day, but when you walk up to the fort, there is an amazing breeze and that really helped. This was our 2nd time in PR, but the 1st time we visited the fort and it was worth it. The views are amazing. We also saw what I believe was a pilot wale on the west side.

The views here are breathtaking. We had a self guided visit. The park rangers are very helpful though. They do a few demonstrations on the fifth level which is where you enter. Helpful to know it’s $10 and they do not accept cash. If you have mobility issues, this place involves lots of walking. It’s worth a visit for the views alone.

This fort is so gorgeous. It's better than San Cristobal, but admission to one gets you into both. I recommend going to San Cristobal first, like we did, to thoroughly enjoy both. Lots of walks in this fort so dress accordingly. Definitely worth seeing this National park.

Really impressive how this was build here and all the history in it. Entrance cost was $10 which is not bad in my opinion. I also didn't mind walking towards the fort since how beautiful the field is and stunning the fort looks while getting closer and closer. Loved taking pictures in the area they also got hidden trails. Would definitely come back someday to bring family and friends.

Amazing views and wonderful historical experience. From the cannons to the dry moat the fort is full of very descriptive locations. The information boards provide a detailed historical account of the fort through the years including the use for many of the rooms and halls throughout. The restrooms are clean and the gift shop will have something for all ages. Definitely recommend this for any visitor.

The beach of Condado is a very popular beach among tourists in San Juan craving a Caribbean beach resort experience with all the vibrant life of a city just steps away. It attracts diverse crowd, from families to famous celebrities. If you want to play on the water, you can enjoy windsurfing, a very popular watersport in Condado. all the top hotels and resorts are close as well as restaurants. Well , despite tempting Condado Beach is not safe for swimming or bathing, the water has very dangerous currents. Neither adults nor children should be swimming at Condado Beach. Nearby, you can walk to Playita del Condado, (Playita means small) a small beach with calmer water, better for swimming and doing a little snorkeling. We just came here, clicked few pics, dipped feet in sea water, wander around and moved to Playita condado. Ps: I did not see any shower-bathroom here.

Very beautiful beach to relax and unwind. Easy access with plenty of food options in the area. Its a must if you are around Condado PR. For Covid concerns vendors around wear mask.

Very beautiful beach near the old capital. They have some good food trucks nearby. The waves are pretty strong and it can get crowded during peak hours. I did not see any life guards, so swim at your own risk.

We love this beach! We’ve been here nearly everyday during our 2 week vacation. The waves are strong, but my teenage girls and I had zero issues. Beach isn’t filled with litter. You can rent chairs and umbrellas I believe until 4 PM. Vendors walk around selling drinks (cash only) and there are a tons of amazing places to access for a bite or drink (Wicked Lily and Kaña were our favs).

Great little beach at west end at bridge to Old San Juan. The water is calm and swimmable unlike central Condado beach where the waves are.too dangerous to swim in.

Strong strong waves. A few people were pulled into the ocean and had to get rescued. Swim with caution. If you just want to take pictures it’s nice. Definitely recommend walking around and checking out the shops. We had a piña colada and açaí as we walked.

Beach was very welcoming and fun. You can rent a beach chair with umbrella just bring cash. Water is rough but beautiful. I still got in and tanned. Spent the day and enjoyed it!

The beach is so beautiful and peaceful. Lots of sand and colorful blue water. I could look down and see my feet. Clean and well maintained by the hotel staff.

Definitely one of the most beautiful cemeteries I’ve had the privilege of visiting. Stretching back over 150 years, some of the gravesites have stalled into disrepair or vandalized, but those are rare, in my opinion. The care given to the memory of loved ones has left this with many interesting and beautiful statues to keep the remains company. And let’s not forget the dragon guardians, too. Just be aware of their presence and they’re less likely to send you to your eternal rest as I nearly did, or at least almost left with soiled pants.

A great stop if you decided to walk through La Perla while in Old San Juan. The tunnel leading back out to San Juan is just past the cemetery.

This was an amazing quick visit in old San Juan! The statuary were the obvious draw, but the seaside location really makes it a place that keeps you looking. We visited on a quiet week day, but it still had a fair amount of visitors. Still a delightful time. Highly recommended.

The most beautifully located and scenic cemetery I've ever seen, bordered by the ocean, overlooked by Castillo San Felipe Del Morro, and with the fortification walls of Castillo San Cristobal in the background. Epic place! So many good photos of my kids from various angles around this place. The fortification walls have plenty of nooks and cranies that offer different views of this cemetary, so take the time to explore. We saw plenty of open graves and interesting tombstones.

What a beautiful cemetery! We were on a tour so we didn’t get to walk around in it. It is very old and has some beautiful headstones. Enjoy the photos and may they R.I.P.

A hidden gem! Just such a beautiful and thoughtful experience on so many levels. We came to celebrate my birthday and I felt special the entire time there. We were seated in the back on a couch for two and it could not have been more appropriate for us as we tend to sit next to other when we go out to eat, even if it is just the two of us. Every serving was beautiful, delicious, and multifaceted. Cocktails were delightful. The dishes were explained thoughtfully and the staff were attentive and incredibly friendly. The risotto and gnocchi were our favorite as well as the white bean soup. We will be back!!

This is by far the best restaurant in Puerto Rico, and maybe one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in the U.S. Marmalade offers a $135/per person 5-course menu that you craft off their menu. It will definitely leave you satisfied and completely blown away with the interesting flavors. I also recommend trying a cocktail, also crafted expertly. We enjoyed our dinner her so much, we went twice in a week trip, and would have gone a third if reservations weren’t booked.

My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary at this restaurant. It's definitely one of the best restaurants we have been to. The food and service were excellent. Our waiter answered our questions and was very professional and polite. Next time we come to visit Puerto Rico, we will definitely come back here. I most definitely recommend this restaurant 👌

Marmalade is the best fine dining restaurant in Puerto Rico. The food is very good, the wine pairing compliments well, the service is excellent. The portions are very healthy. The only criticism is their coffee needs improvement. You’ll need reservations. Our group consensus this visit was the bread pudding, gnocchi short rib, and lobster risotto were the winners.

Marmalade provided an excellent 13-course chef’s tasting menu for our large party of 9. They also accommodated for two dietary restrictions and our experience was amazing! Everyone enjoyed each course which was strategically paired with a wine. Their service complimented the food well. The ambience was upscale and traditional with ample room. Marmalade’s food was definitely worth the price, well made and tasting. I highly recommend visiting if in San Juan.

We went for our friend’s 40th birthday dinner. Rafael and the entire staff was so incredibly attentive and personalized menus for those with allergies. The food was SO good!! Atmosphere is intimate, but so fun. Decor was modern and restaurant was super clean. Loved every minute of our night here.

What a experience in Old San Juan! Very creative and different. It’s expensive but you will not regret. For a special occasion is the best plan. We order the four courses and everything was outstanding. The cocktails and the dessert also WOW 🤩 Good service too.

This was the best meal that we have ever eaten. The white bean soup was the best tasting soup that I have ever had. The portions were very generous and we found ourselves struggling to find room in our stomachs to finish the main course and dessert. The wine pairing complemented each course very nicely. We will definitely make sure to return on our next visit to San Juan.

Been to about a dozen fine dining. This is the best! Great food, excellent service, best I have seen! It is a 5 course menu but you pick the course from a list so not a set course. My wife did not enjoy her dessert they waive the dessert and gave us a new one free. I can not say more you have to try it by yourself. Make sure revered your table ahead of time, it is a quiet and comfy place great for date night or business celebration. I would come back again! 5 course menu is $135+tax at 2023 Apr which I think is a very fair price!

If you’re a foodie and you find yourself in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, Marmalade is a must!! We went last night and it was absolutely amazing. From the moment we entered the restaurant to the final bite of dessert, every aspect of our visit exceeded expectations. Our server, Paul, walked us through the menu. The restaurant offers four or five course meals and we opted for the 4-course. We decided to combine our own menu choices with Paul's recommendations, inviting him to surprise us with his personal favorites. Our first course was an heirloom tomato salad and a beet salad. The flavors were expertly balanced, and the presentation was nothing short of artistry. Each bite was a testament to the chef's creativity and the freshest local vegetables and ingredients. Next, we had the saffron linguini with clams and the curry meatballs. Both were incredible. Bursting flavors and textures. For the main course, we had in a tender and juicy beef tenderloin and the Halibut in a jalapeño cornbread sauce. Both awesome presentation and amazing flavors. Paul also gave us a small tasting of the white bean soup with black truffles and Oh-My-Gawd, it was so good!! For dessert, we had the bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream and fresh berries. The warm, moist bread contrasting beautifully with the coolness of the ice cream and the burst of freshness from the berries. Lastly, we had the pleasure of enjoying a cheese plate featuring seven varieties of cheeses, accompanied with the restaurant’s namesake signature marmalade. Each cheese offered a unique flavor profile, and the marmalade complemented them so well. To accompany our meal, we ordered the cocktail named Global Warming. It was a margarita with a chili-infused ice cube that gradually spiced up the drink as it melted. The combination of sweet and spicy notes was both refreshing and exhilarating, adding a memorable twist to our dining experience. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough to those seeking a true foodie adventure in Old San Juan.

This was by far one of the best tasting menus I have ever had. The staff was personable, invested in the experience, and went above and beyond to really serve us well. The food was playful while being elevated and delicious. I could have kept eating the rest of the night. We spent about three hours here but it felt like no time had passed whatsoever. Rafa and ZullyBeth were the dream team making sure we were taken care of — this should be a stop for anyone and everyone looking for an elevated dining experience in San Juan.

If you want to enjoy an incredible 5 course meal in Puerto Rico, this is your place. The atmosphere, the food and service is beyond amazing. For $135 you get a five course meal that will indulge all your senses. Be adventurous and pick various dishes to share! It was my birthday and they added petals to our table and brought a cake with a candle! Everything was so very special and this is going to be a must for us every time we visit San Juan. Big thank you to the chef for creating this gem in the city.

Stopped here with a group of folks based upon a recommendation from someone I ran into in the states. I enjoyed my meal some of the folks in my group found some of their food to be a little dry. We had a fairly large group of 16 that they were able to seat relatively quickly. Overall I had a good experience and if you're in the area stop in and have some dinner or lunch I think you will be pleased at the chance to eat here.

I would like to rate this higher as I had a lovely experience. Our hostess was super patient and accommodating with my party. Food was good and plentiful portion sizes. Extensive menu catering to most stomachs (except vegan). I did appreciate the staff wearing traditional attire of the culture they were representing. Due to food shortages, at the time we went, some dishes we initially selected were not available. Reservation for lunch and dinner are recommended as this place books up fast. If you come early enough, right after opening, you may be able to seated as a walk in. Small and large parties can be accommodated. Parking is located in one of the many decks in the surrounding area.

I had an overall great experience. They had a really long week but we were able to sit at the bar and they didn’t take too much time. The drinks and our bartender were amazing, they were out of one of the items that I wanted to order, which was a bummer, and I have food to take an extremely long time because it was extremely busy but with the pool came out, I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t extremely hot as it would be coming out fresh. The soup was amazing, as well as the seafood paella in the desert! The entertainment was also great they were fun! I would come back for sure when I’m in town, it’s in a great area with a lot of store around.

This place didn't meet the hype. Service was extremely slow. Our food was mediocre. I got the stuffed avocado. While the avocado itself was good, the chicken was not. It supposedly came with cheese sauce but it didn't. My husband got a giant fried pork chop which he liked. We were charged for water. The plantain basket appetizer was decent.

Raíces was one of the recommended restaurants in Puerto Rico! They serve the local cuisine and I really enjoyed the setting of the restaurant! The murals, paintings and decor were a homage to Puerto Rican heritage. I loved that the wait staff - men and women - were dressed so handsomely and beautifully! They’ve a lot of dishes on their menu! Being a vegetarian in a place where the local cuisine is predominantly meat- & seafood- based is hard! But, there were 2 or 3 options on the menu - which is good enough for me! I tried the vegetable mofongo and the plantain soup. I liked both, just didn’t love either of them. I have to say, the plantain soup was very interesting - salty and garlicky! My friends enjoyed their cod fritters. However, they didn’t love their shrimp. Overall, I’d still recommend this place for the experience of it!

We stopped here for dinner before boarding our cruise one ending and everything was perfect. One-we were in a time crunch and they were able to get us out good right away. Two-the staff was pleasant and Three-the food was excellent! I definitely recommend this place!

Great food and great vibes. Good portions. Atmosphere to match old school PR. We got tamarind juice, seafood paella, and fish tacos. For dessert the guava flan is the best I’ve ever tested. Our waiter Rafael was very attentive.

This is a very stylish place with an unbeatable sexy vibe, even during day time. The surrounding artwork and decor provide the perfect atmosphere for the absolutely delicious pizzas, salads and other wonders served here. All details are carefully mastered, such as the delicate lemon bags to filter the seeds as you pour the juice. We just wished the staff was a bit friendlier and better trained.

Place is very nice, has a modern look. Great music, his new album played and everyone loved it. Food, drinks, service and atmosphere were top quality, also located in a very nice area of San Juan. Highly recommended. Spicy pasta sauce is really good. Very pleased will be returning.

We had a really good meal here. They were very very busy. Unfortunately we were seated inside and they gave our server a lot of tables on the patio outside. So service was slow. The server was very nice but obviously a little bit harried and having a hard time keeping up with trying to take care of both the outside patio and the table that she had on the inside. It was comfortable and cool and atmosphere was a little loud but Pleasant.

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is really cool with modern decor and great music. Great open patio perfect to rest from the sun, enjoy the breeze and people watch. The service is prompt and friendly. The food is delicious. We started with some calamari and then had pizzas, pasta, ended with some cheesecake and absolutely loved everything. You really can't go wrong with anything in the menu. Also if you re lucky you might get to see a 🐓

Serafina is definitely a place that cannot go wrong. I have been in a few locations and it always a pleasant experience. Drinks were fantastic and the food on point. Great atmosphere with EDM lounge music. You will not regret!

The ambiance and atmosphere of this place was wonderful. We were seated quickly upon arrival. We had the calamari and bruschetta for appetizers. So delicious. For our entrees, we had lobster ravioli and a steak with truffle fries and veggies. All were outstanding. The steak was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. For dessert, we opted for the cheesecake. We also had drinks from the bar. Everything was amazing. Definitely worth the money.

Big PASS I don't think it's worth it. We waited for a while for a seat, so I recommend reserving, but you can always wait. Once seated, I'm not sure if it's short staffed or what, but the wait for the food was incredibly long. When the food came out, the plate was hot, and the food looked like it sat under the heating lamp for a while. We were so hungry at this point. We ordered 3 dishes Taglioline tartufo, Risotto frutti di mare, and Bianca pizza. The only dish we loved and enjoyed was the risotto - it was flavorful, the texture was good, but if there's one thing about the dish to tweak, it's the truffle flavor. I need more for that price. The taglioline had great flavor, but the texture was way off. The noodles were soggy and so soft that you don't need to chew it. It is the dish to order if you're missing teeth. This is not how I like my noodles - especially pasta. The pizza showed up late, and the bottom was burnt. At this point, I was so frustrated with the food. For the price and the portion size, this was not worth it. We couldn't not have let the server know because by the time we got the food it was over an hour, and we were so hungry. By the time they swung by to ask how the food was the food waa finished, everything had no point in letting them know. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! The ice cream is not worth either. We got pistachio, but it had pistachio essence at the end. The only best thing is the atmosphere - it sure is a beautiful restaurant.

Great place for some Italian food. Outdoor seating has a nice calming ambience. The outdoor oven for pizza just adds to the charm of this place. They also added the wheat option for the pasta.

Stopped in to eat here because the music and decor seemed like a vibe. Opted out of the wait and just sat at the bar. They were busy so service was a little slow. I got the calamari appetizer and it wasn't horrible but I prefer it cut thinner and fried harder. I also ordered the chicken bacon pasta which was good after adding some salt and pepper. Overall it was one of the better meals I had during my trip so I recommend giving it a try.

We had such a good experience that me and my daughter came here 3 nights in a row! What really motivated us to come again was our awesome server Bianca. Bianca was polite, informative, and attentive. We got lucky to have her the first two times, but unfortunately the third time we didn’t, and it showed. Good thing the food speaks for itself. We got the meatballs, mixed seafood pasta, and both chocolate desserts. Everything was tasty and the portions were great. The smoked old fashion was delish! Overall, the aesthetic is cute and modern. Great place to check out.

My wife and I went here based on a friend’s recommendation and although my wife really enjoyed the red snapper my dish didn’t do much for me. After a couple days of eating heavy dishes I went with the basic chicken breast for something on the lighter side. My main problem was the lack of seasoning/flavor. It was just a simple grilled chicken breast with beans and white rice. The beans and plantains brought life to the dish fortunately but not enough for me to order this again

The Special Sampler is definitely a must-have. It offers 10 different items to try. Their dough is sweet, which makes the fried calamari and fried fish taste unusually delicious. The fried fish fillet is my favorite, super tender and not fishy at all. Paellas are their specialty. We ordered the one with meat, but it still had fried fish, shrimp, octopus and calamari in it, just like a supreme paella. The beef and pork were very juicy and tender. The fried plantain in this dish was similar to the ones at Chinese buffets, nicely caramelized. Highly recommend you ask the rice to be cooked soft. Though both the sampler appetizer and the paella said for two, they were enough to feed three to four people. At the birthplace of Piña Colada, we had to try the original recipe and it was phenomenal as well.

Let me preface this by saying Puerto Rico is not a foodie locale In my opinion. This was by far the best meal we have had in 6 days and we are eating at restaurants that have high regard here. You have to come between 6-6:15 to stand in line to get on the list for the same evening. Then you get a reservation for an hour or more later. The Paella Marinera was flavorful. The lobster overcooked. The whole fried snapper was over fried to the point of fish jerky. Nonetheless it’s the best meal we have had in PR so give them a 4. The service was good. Ambiance good too.

One of the best dishes we had in San Juan. The food is delicious. Prices are a little bit cheaper than in the rest of the town. Staff is very polite and helpful. We waited 1h to receive a table. It's better to make a reservation before due to the high demand. I definitely recommend it.

We came in and hosted said it was hour wait. We waited 40 minutes and was seated. I didn’t understand because there were empty tables everywhere but they didn’t have a lot of servers. I don’t drink Pina Colada’s but mine was good. The service was great and my first time trying Puerto Rican food, but I enjoyed it.

Creole sauce on the grouper was perfect. Being from New Orleans where creole food rules, I was hesitant to order this based on a review I read. It was delicious, not too overpowering with the tomato base. The spices and seasoning made this dish. The beans were delicious as well. My husband ordered the steak medium well, but came to him a little pinkish red. Service was also good. We noticed it’s a small place, where you sign up for a time and they call you when your table is ready.

Wait.. the original place that created the Pina Colada... Yup .. so worth it.. we arrived when they opened and the server let us into the bar area to have a drink first. So imagine the first Pina colada to touch your lips... yum... so good... Enjoy!

I must say it took me several attempts to get a table at this restaurant. Worth every minute and penny. Beautiful outdoor and indoor seating . Great service and the food was amazing. FYI it's where the Pina Colada was invented. Best times to get a table is between 12pm and 3pm.

The birthplace of Pina Colada. It's popular place so expect long wait during meal time. Or you can order PC to go as well. Great service, PC tasted pretty good. Kan Kan Pork is bigger than the first one we had and cheaper as well. Tasted crispy outside and juicy inside. The sampler plate with all the fried goodies gave you many taste of PR cooking. The fried fish was also delicious, a must have if you have the room.

The piña colada’s are phenomenal. I’m not generally a fan but wanted to try one at this iconic birthplace of the sweet frosty libation. Delicious. Service was great and the atmosphere is classic. We sat outside and the whole patio vibes great energy. The sampler appetizer was really good, lots of food to share & nice variety. Our dinner entrees were good but not really anything outstanding. My snapper was a bit dry as was the salmon. The boys loved the mahi-mahi. Overall a fabulous experience for our first dinner out in Puerto Rico.

I didn't eat, but I gave their Pina Colada's 5☆'s. Great customer service and THE BEST, strongest, and most addictive drink I've ever had in my life! Now, it's not for everyone. If you don't like sweet drinks, it's not for you. But it was so hot in San Juan that after walking (via taxi) from the top from Castillo San Felipe del Morro down to the shopping district, we just had to try this world famous Pina Colada. Please don't change the locks on your doors, I will be back! 🤣... So, if you're ever in San Juan, please give Barrachina a go! The food looked excellent, by the way. Walkable from the cruise port.

The Pina coladas were amazing. Fresh and delicious. However, this is probably some of the worst service I have ever seen. Bartenders had people waiting for ToGo drinks and just ignored them and bar customers. People waited up to 25 minutes just to be served. We sat at the bar and it took over 20 minutes for us to get a drink....a refill longer. The female bartender had a terrible attitude and I watched her put her finger up and "Shhh" someone asking a question about the price of the drink she just bought. The building is huge and has a cool vibe. The food was ok. We got chicken wings that were more breading than chicken and not cooked enough. The appetizer platter wasn't anything amazing and pretty much bland fried food. It was a nice to see and say we had a Pina colado from the place they were created...and we will get them somewhere else from now on.

Beautiful and eclectic atmosphere! We ordered the Salmon wrap, French toast with fried chicken, and hazelnut croissant. Everything was delicious and good portion size! Try the hot chocolate with cheese! It's a must! Definitely will be back before we leave!

Super cute cafe for chocolate lovers! Service was amazing and the gift shop had some cool finds - like chocolate cologne for men (def got one) and some chocolate bars made in PR and DR. I ordered the chocolate martini and it was amazing! Like an adult cold hot chocolate.

The food and atmosphere was awesome! Kelvin was an awesome server. The owner even came over and shared the history of the Cortez family and chocolate. The restaurant gives back to the community through the arts and has even partnered with the creator of the first Afro-Latina super hero. Highly recommend!

Very impressed and would definitely go back!! We live in PR and I have to admit I haven’t really been motivated to come here because I thought it would be a very touristy but we recently attend a fundraising event here and we were able to meet the owner/chef who was very nice so we decided to come back and support local business. Wow! Everything we ordered was delicious and the menu was very creative with the chocolate infusions. We’ll definitely come back!

My wife loves chocolate so we had to make this stop. We were not disappointed! Staff are all very friendly and the drinks we had were great. Really top notch here!

Waited almost an hour and got our seat. They had art gallery to explore until we wait. The menu looked interesting and we enjoyed everything. From cocktails, food, coffee, soft drinks, everything was super good. We were so stuffed. Every order was decent size like it was good for an individual. Wanted to try their desert but we were full so will come back next time 😄

Great coffee and great food!! Worth the wait. Ordered the pork with plantain shell tacos. So so so good. The bloody Mary was also really delicious and definitely not a light pour.

I absolutely love this place. This was my second trip to PR and had to come back! I love the incorporation of chocolate into their drinks and food. HAVE to order their rum tasting paired with chocolate and their old fashion! (My 💯 fave). Highly recommend and you can't miss this!

Day 1, chocolate waffles and chocolate martinis 👌🏽. Day 2 chocolate grilled cheese (I know. Sounds strange, but f'n delicious 😋), turkey choco club, baklava and Don Ignacios 🥃🥃. This place is awesome and Carlos is thee absolute best!! We will be returning for a third and final visit tomorrow.

We stopped in to have breakfast and had a great time. The food is delicious and our sever Sibelle was amazing and attentive. The European hot chocolate and frozen hot chocolate were amazing!!

What a beautiful place! My best friend and I are on a trip from Maryland, and we are staying half a block away. Wanted some coffee and a nice alcohol beverage to start the day! The service, food and atmosphere was wonderful!
