It's cool to see. I don't know that I'd need to do it more than once. Buy tickets in advance. You can also check the website around 900a and see if they are any available tickets. I checked and got a ticket for the same day. You have to go through security as it's a national landmark. They have a museum area after that and other setups to learn about the arch and its history, there is a gift shop and cafe inside. Line up at your time... there aren't many people lining up until about 4-5 min prior to the scheduled time. You stand in line for a while before you get to go back. There really isn't a benefit because you get assigned a group 1 through 9. You sit with your group in the pod up and down...maximum of 5 people

Great place to visit! Lines all ran smoothly and it was an orderly transition from the check-in to the top and back down. Some unique history all the way from out greeting to a little movie to the facts projected on the doors that let you on to the tram. 4 minutes up and 3 minutes down. Yes, the tram is small but you can see the inside of the arch via the window/doors on the side. They allot the group 9 minutes at the top which is more than enough time to get some great photos. I’d recommend the movie on the building of the arch as it helped to make sense out of the architecture and the construction. The museums in the area were also very informative. Highly recommended.

I had never really wanted to visit the Arch but I thought I'd give it a go and I was pleasantly surprised. A beautiful museum to see before you have to purchase anything at all. Definitely go to the top of the arch. Amazing views. And if you get there at noon you can see the shadow perfect between the two legs of the Arch!!!

Wonderful experience! It was cool driving through town and seeing the arch get bigger and bigger as we got closer. Then to be standing under it was amazing. The view from the top and museum were fabulous. The tram ride was faster than expected. We’ll worth the time and Money!

We had the chance to visit a couple of times. It has an incredibly beautiful atmosphere. It looks so beautiful from the outside. It makes me happy every time I see it. The museum is incredibly beautiful. There is a very beautiful narration. Everything is simple and technological. The main problem here is going upstairs. It's incredibly claustrophobic. Unfortunately, you can't find a satisfying window when you go upstairs.

Worth doing it to check the box, but not sure I’d feel the need to do it twice. The whole thing is about $15+ per person to take the tram (a claustrophobic Ferris wheel ride staring at concrete) up to a small room to look out tiny windows. I had more fun taking pictures for tourist families than I did staring out the tiny windows. Cool view, but a little anticlimactic for the price. The museum looked cool, but unfortunately we were in a bit of a rush and didn’t get to check it out.

I came to the Arch as a child and my son is now 10 years old so it was time to create the memories with him. He had learned about the Arch at school and now he's been able to witness it first hand. Overall it was a great experience. A little crowded and had to wait for a chance to get my son up in the windows to see the sights and get photos of him. A security lady asked us to leave as I was grabbing a couple photos we had waited on other people to move on, for my son's memory book. I explained to her we had to wait on all of the other people to be able to look out. Maybe she was having a bad day. Regardless the trip was nice and the other employees were all super nice and professional. The landscaping and surroundings were all beautiful.

Should be on the to-do list for everybody visiting St Louis. The Arch itself is huge and you can go up all to the top. Tour guide Sandy was awesome and very funny. The museum is just as impressive as the Arch itself. The history and development of St Louis is clearly explained. Well done. Museum itself is very clean and modern.

Well done National Park Service! I bought tickets online about a month ahead of time. I was able to have the tickets on my phone. We arrived about 30 to 45 minutes ahead of our tour time to allow for the security check. At the appointed time we were directed through the tour. The tour guides were courteous and very helpful answering questions. The views from the top are spectacular and for me, well worth the price of admission. The ride up and down is a little bumpy and the pod is a little claustrophobic, but should be no problem for most people. There is a historical museum after entry and before or after the tour that is worth a walk through. There is a concession stand of sorts as well as a souvenir shop. Overall, a great experience!

Great experience. You go up a very small tram elevator and it's pretty cool. They have a small museum inside, obviously the gift shop, and a few places to eat inside. Would highly recommend if not afraid of heights and not afraid of being an enclosed spaces.

We went on a Saturday and it was fairly busy. We did the tram ride to the top of the arch and it was under $20 a person. Our son was free since he's a wee tot. You enter at the bottom and go through a security check(similar to at an airport). Then you can walk around and learn all the history facts. There is a little cafe and gift shop in that area, as well. If you have a ticket for the tram, you continue on to the next area and guides put in groups. The rest is a quick history lesson then an even quicker ride to the top. You get around 10 minutes to look out of little windows at everything around you then you hop back in your tram and head down. It's a really quick experience but also a neat one. The trams are quite small and fit 5 people snugly(see video). If you're claustrophobic you might consider skipping the tram. If you park by the water, be prepared to climb several flights of stairs. We did it taking turns carrying our 40lb son and the thigh burn was real😅

The zoo is free, but the parking is $15. We started our day with a behind the scenes giraffe tour. I posted a tour review under the link for the giraffes. We also watched a mini sea lion show. It was a mini show because they are practicing for the full length shows that will start in a couple of weeks. The zoo is kept clean, and the people who work there seems to really love their jobs. Most of them were very happy to share so much information with us about the animals. Many of the buildings are historical, with a few that were built for the World’s Fair. The exhibits had information for each animal. I appreciate the numerous signs asking patrons to not bother/harass the animals, and a phone number to allow anyone who witnesses concerning behavior to report it. I would love to see most of the animals in bigger enclosures. Even if that meant they had fewer varieties of animals. I did appreciate that most of the exhibits had a wide variety of live plants and trees in them. Our funnel cake was delicious. The gift shop staff was very nice. We loved our visit!

The most beautiful and fun part of the St. Louis zoo are the gorgeous native wildflowers in bloom! I loved to see interesting pollinators at work. Great idea to start replacing the stinky fuel trains with electric trains. I prefer the train ride connection around the elephant house as opposed to the stinky train rides through dark tunnels. We were expecting to see more sights from the train and we can't recommend the added expense! The penguin and puffin indoor exhibits were a fantastic way to cool off from the heat and sun. They are so amazingly cute! I loved walking through the butterfly enclosure for close encounters with a nice variety of butterflies. The grizzly bears were fascinating to see eating what looked like frozen blocks of food. They showed their intelligence using various strategies to break apart the food blocks. I was deeply sad to witness the tiny enclosure for the polar bear and wish it a happy and free life in a better, more wild place. I hope that it can be given more room to move, swim and be free. 🐻‍❄️ This zoo would get a higher rating from me if it weren't for how upsetting it is to see our cramped polar bear friend trapped and sad.

What a day! We have been to this zoo over a dozen times, and it never gets boring. The additions for various animals and new habitats make it a fun time. The zoo is all about learning and entertaining for all generations. Whether it's the dinosaurs or the penguins or any other species. It's a good time for all of us.

As a St Louis resident, the STL zoo is my number one favorite place to hang out in the city. Whether it’s busy or slow, hot & humid or cold & rainy this is always the place I am always drawn too. If you are just visiting the city the zoo needs to be on your list of places to visit. It has 2 entrances and both are easily accessible. It’s free to enter and there is so much to see. Every person who works here is friendly, knowledgeable and works to create a great experience. The facilities are always clean and there are so many vending choices that there is rarely a wait. You can also always bring your own picnic in and eat in the grassy field areas in the middle of the park. It’s a nice quiet space with picnic tables and lots of grass to get away with your group for a bit and eat or just chill for a bit. If it’s super hot or cold you can always count on enjoying the bug house. It’s indoors and it’s wonderful for kids. Then at the end you can walk through the temp controlled butterfly dome which is just amazing. Seriously do not hesitate to visit this place, it’s a true gem of the city.

I love the St. Louis Zoo! It’s really the perfect size where you can see everything in one visit but there is still a lot to see. The Penguin exhibit is one of the nicest I’ve ever see and definitely my favorite of the exhibits and it was the only place besides food vendors and gift shops that we ever ran into lines even when there tickets were sold out. If you’re going during busy times- weekends, holidays, spring break, summer break I’d definitely recommend making reservations ahead of time. It also took us about 45 minutes to park on a nice day so keep that in mind parking when you’re planning your day at the zoo.

Beautiful zoo! And it is free! They charge for a few of the attractions but they are geared more for smaller kids (Dino, train, petting stingray.) The bird house was one of my favorite exhibits. We also loved the penguin exhibit and how close we were able to get to them. It felt like we entered their habitat, but without disturbing them. Oh, and the Grizzlies! Really, a great zoo.

This is one of the best zoo in the US. This place is huge. It’s FREE. Only charge $15/ vehicle for parking. It’s a lot better than Washington DC Smithsonian zoo. Each habitat was well maintained. Animals were healthy and happy. Be sure to bring good walking shoes. We spent about 3.5 hours here. And walked about 4 miles. We wanted to see all of them. And for us the highlight was definitely penguins exhibit. We got to see them so close. This is by far my favorite zoo.

Fantastic zoo!!! If you plan on seeing the whole thing, I would highly suggest planning for a whole day there as the zoo is huge!!! The dinosaurs are worth the money, super cool, and the kids loved it! The train is nice but you're not allowed to bring any stroller on which can be difficult when you have small children. This zoo is so much fun, and is great exercise!

Amazing! If you love penguins, you have to go to this zoo. It's free to visit, but $15 to park. For $8, you can get a wristband to ride the train all day long. It is great for traveling between sections of the zoo, especially on a hot day.

Free zoo! Visited on Labor Day weekend (Saturday at 11 AM). It took a long time to get parking and it was hard to find spots (there is a fee to park). A lot of people parked across the bridge and walked. It was very hot out so many of the animals were sleeping. We were able to bring in reusable water bottles and a few snacks. The butterfly room is really special. I would recommend going early in the morning.

What can I say. You can't beat free. But for real this zoo was amazing. I wish I had more time to visit all the exhibits. The park was clean and wasn't overcrowded when I went. They have a huge selection of animals to look at. Plenty of spots to sit down and eat and of course gift shops . I'll definitely want to come back if I visit Saint Louis again. It's a great spot for family trip.

This zoo was really good. We had some of the best animal experiences we have ever had with the penguins and polar bear. We went on a weekday and the weather was cold. It was not busy and the animals were active. We would happily return or recommend to others.

Nice zoo. Wasn’t crowded at all. Very hot out would recommend bringing personal fan or coming on a cool day. Gift shop items were reasonably priced. Also if you choose to touch the sting rays be aware of the fact that there Is no soap to wash your hands with. Everything was good except for the fact that you still need to pay for refills with the souvenir cup otherwise great experience.

This free zoo is such a gem. I absolutely love the penguin exhibit. It's cold! There's also a very cool area for children to play and have up close views of animals along the Primate Canopy Trail. There's free street parking or paid lots.

What a great zoo! It was truly a beautiful set up and maintained zoo with plenty to do! The admission was free for the entire family which is a huge plus, and there are a few paid attractions in the zoo which were worth the money, but entirely optional. The food was tasty and prices fairly. The animals looked to be well taken care of and had nice big enclosures. The zoo was huge and had much more to do and see than we were expecting coming from a smaller city with a much smaller zoo. Spent 4 hours here and honestly could have spent even more time to see and do everything. If you enjoy zoos at all this is absolutely a must visit if you're in the area!

Amazing place for everyone. Toddlers to bigger kids to teenagers and adults. You could spend hours here and keep finding amazing things. The food isn't crazy experience either so you can spend the day here. They were super great with our large group over the weekend. We had about 90 people in our group and they were super accommodating and there were no issues.

This is the most amazing museum we've seen. It is a total immersive experience that bring you from one world to another completely different world. It has an aquarium, and many indoor and outdoor playground, plus an open rooftop. It is literally a playground for both kids and adults. What are you like to climb and crawl, or just walk without any strenuous moves, there is always a path to explore all the hidden gems in this museum in ways that you are comfortable. And it has so many spaces and so many ways to see things that you can spend days getting lost in these world. And even if you come back again and again, the experience can still be completely different. We highly recommend this as a must visit if you ever come to St. Louis.

My son had a good time. He is 10. He definitely saw it is a cool adventure. If there was a way to ensure he couldn't be taken or hurt without my knowledge, I could have let him run free a little more but I felt like I'd lose him if he got out of my sight because this place goes on and on! Lol. So I was overprotective and followed him around. Every thing was really cool. Unfortunately after walking thousands of steps to reach the top they said you can't slide with a small bag. I had to bring my bag to be able to pay for our way in, etc. So that was unfortunate after walking so many stair cases. Maybe a sign at the bottom saying no bags allowed? 🤔 it was hot, but overall the place is very cool and very fun for a kid to explore. We may come back some day and try again when he's older.

I truly love this place. If you go to St. LOUIS, the City Museum is a must-see/do! Since college, I've enjoyed exploring this multi-story playground filled with amazing works of art and pieces of St. Louis. I had the privilege of bringing my kids for the first time and they had a blast.

You have got to take your children here! I visited as the parent of adult children. I wish I had taken my kids here. This place is amazing. Be sure to give your kids a quiet break every once in a while because it’s really overwhelming for little ones. The employees are polite and thoughtful and knowledgeable. There’s something for everybody here to see or enjoy. The views from the rooftop are nice. The young man running the Ferris wheel day I visited was very entertaining and really seemed to enjoy his job. I wish someone would check on the antique cabinets because items are falling off the front of the shelves. I’m looking forward to returning

Such a cool concept. A beautiful and strange interactive experience that was just as much fun for me as it was for the kids. Only thing that prevented this from being five stars was the rooftop closed during our visit, after we had bought tickets for it, due to heat/lack of staffing before we got up there and they do not offer refunds, only rain checks. Since we aren't from the area (and I'm sure a large number of other visitors are not local) there's no way we'd have been able to come back.

What an absolutely awesome experience for kids and adults! You have to be fairly nimble but there's fun to be had from all. Even just walking through and checking things out is pretty neat. One of our favorite Parts was the seven story slide, it was really fast and an absolute blast! Parking was easy and a good time was had by all. The only negative that I can really think of is St Louis is not nearly as nice overall as many big cities I've been to but, of course, this has nothing to do with the quality of the museum.

The City Museum is unique in the way that it feels like intentional chaos. It’s almost like an interactive art museum. The playgrounds/ climbing/sliding structures are very unique. Most of them go from one floor to another (I think there were a few that went between three floors). The day that we went the museum was packed and with the play structures being so big and behind walls and going floor to floor, it was extremely stressful trying to keep up with the children with our group. If you are expecting an organized, learning environment for kids, this is not it. This isn’t the kind of museum that has different learning stations, everything just randomly turns into something else. You go from a winding metal structure for kids to climb on to a wall of antiques with no explanation. The one real station I saw amidst the chaos was a toddler area where some big kids had taken over and there were no workers to be seen. We were there for several hours and I only ever saw one worker. There’s no one there to help parents FIND their kids when their kids go down a slide when the sign says it ends on one floor but actually ends on another. There were also several things that stood out as red flags to us as being safety concerns/ not up to code. Maybe it’s not always as busy as it was the day that we went but it was stressful as the parents trying to keep up with kids that go up a set of stairs that go behind a wall and it takes you 5 minutes to find where it comes out. I will say that the food from the restaurant we ate at was good. (Alcohol available- and after spending time in that museum- I can see why.) 😅 The gift shop souvenirs were about as random as the museum which was kind of funny. My aunt and I joked that the t-shirts in the gift shop should say “I survived the City Museum with all my kids.”

The most redeeming quality of this place is all of the stuff that has been kept out of a landfill. Props to the artists who’ve created a fun place to explore. My 80s kid at heart did appreciate that there was a lot of space for free play, climbing, exploring. But… There were WAY too many people in the facility. My husband commented that this may have been where Covid originated. I understand that they are making $20-30 per person, so packing them in makes more money. But limiting the number of people would increase the quality of the experience so much more. Gift shop idea- sell headphones or ear plugs!!! It felt like half of the facility was food places, gift shops, and kiosks where you can spend more money. There appears to be plenty of space in the building that isn’t being used. I’d consider visiting again if they open up new spaces to explore. Otherwise, I most likely won’t return.

This place is so special! It's unlike any other attraction you've ever been to. There is just so much to see and explore, I feel like you can keep going again and again and you'll find something new every time. it's great for all ages - we were a huge group from ages 2-13 plus adults and everyone had the best time. The ONLY thing I will tell you is all the nooks and crannies make it super easy to get lost so you do have to keep a very careful eye on your kids, including knowing where they are going to end up when they go down a slide. But it is absolutely worth the extra effort. We love this weird wacky wonderful museum!

Whoever said this place isn't for adults must be old or boring!! 2 adults in their 30s had a wildly fun time for nearly 5hours! The roof is underwhelming, you don't need to pay more for it. But the inside (and outside) are a blast. Be sure to find the 10story slide (it's kinda hidden in what feels like a boiler room). The circus was cute, and the aquarium had some interesting fish. My only comment is that the seahorse has a sign about how they mate for life and dance with their partner twice a day... but there's only 1 seahorse! I really wish they would adopt another one because that's heart breaking. Oh and your knees will be sore after climbing all of the steel tubes!

One of the most beautiful stadiums in baseball! Love the red brick & black wrought iron retro look. Cardinal fans are some of the best in baseball. Electric atmosphere. Rich history. You won't be disappointed! 5 out 5 stars!

Took a tour of one of the most beautiful stadiums I've ever been to. Our tour guide gave us some great historical facts. Even though the Cardinals aren't my team, I gained a new perspective of the city and their team (11 championships). At almost 20 years old, the stadium still looks brand new. The grounds keepers keep the grass and dirt looking perfectly amazing. Seeing the Gateway Arch in the background is even more awe inspiring. The tour allows you to actually sit in the dugout and see what it's like being so close to the field itself. Take the tour. You won't be disappointed. In addition, walking on the street, you are so close to the excitement of the game. It's as if the restaurants and streets are inside the stadium, even though they're right outside. It is the only stadium I've seen that incorporates and envelops the outside streets at the same level. Fun place to visit. Can't wait to actually see a game there.

Beautiful stadium! Hey there early to walk around and explore. Take the time to make the long walk to the top to get the iconic view of the arch. Note: Empty water bottles are allowed so that you can refill water for free and also create less waste for the landfills!

What an incredible visit we had to Busch Stadium! As a lifelong baseball fan, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to stop by on our way to Kentucky, and boy, am I glad we did! St. Louis is known for having some of the most passionate baseball fans in the country. The rich history of the team adds an extra layer of excitement to the whole experience. Let me tell you, the stadium and weather on that particular day were nothing short of perfect! The setting was simply breathtaking, and I couldn't help but soak in the beauty of the old ballpark. Now, let's talk about the Cardinal Club House Store – it was a delight! The store was filled with an impressive array of Cardinals merchandise, and the crew inside was warm, welcoming, and eager to assist. One thing that stood out to me was the fantastic outside area around the stadium. It's a perfect gathering spot for fans to come together, share their love for the game, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere before and after the games. I'm now more determined than ever to plan another trip back to watch a Cardinals game. Maybe, just maybe, they'll be taking on the Braves! I can already feel the excitement building! If you're a baseball enthusiast or just looking for an unforgettable sports outing, Busch Stadium in St. Louis is an absolute must-visit. The combination of the stunning venue, passionate fans, and the Cardinals' remarkable history makes it a baseball lover's paradise.

We went to the cardinals game in tribute as a farewell goodbye to my great grandmother that passed away. Although we didn’t really watch the game we had an amazing time and great experience. We did the walk through cardinals museum and then had lunch at ballpark village. We also did the build a bear at Busch stadium and that was so fun!! We loved it! Just wish we didn’t live 13 hours away..

Great place for a look around. All the staff that we conversed with were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful! The place looks immaculately looked after, and there’s a ton of things to do around here. Didn’t manage to catch the came as we were headed to Springfield, but I’d have loved to have stayed and watched the Cardinals!

Top-5 stadium in baseball to catch a game. It truly is baseball heaven as you take in the smells and ambiance of the park and of course St. Louis Cardinals baseball. The view of the Gateway Arch is immaculate. However, be aware of the Gestapo patrolling the entry gates. Some Cardinals ushers take their job a little too seriously, so make sure you read what is and isn't allowed in the stadium before you have to make a jaunt back to your car. Lots of reasonable parking lots around the radius of the stadium. The concession stands and souvenir shops are second to none. If you arrive early their is plenty to do in and around the stadium (Ballpark Village and Jefferson Expansion National Park). Put Busch Stadium on your bucket list, it's a good one.

Went to my first ever MLB game back on May 28th against the Brewers. I bought box seats for the 5 of us and we all had a great time. I would definitely go back. Just a fun, laid back experience. I had to go to the upper section to get the pictures of the field with the Gateway Arch in the background, just an awesome backdrop of the skyline. Next time I want to go to a night game.

Been to 5 ballparks and this one was amazing. Staff awesome. Lots of food places and restrooms. Escalator to the cheap seats. Really cool spot. The views are amazing. Would have 5 stars if they would have a Mark McGuire statue!! Honor the Big Mac and get over it!!

Beautiful red brick stadium. Easy access gates. Very helpful staff. Best of all: Ballpark Village with the infield of their last stadium! Kids can "run the bases!!!" Plus a big screen TV with the current game on display! Interesting sidewalk plaques. Well organized statues.

Awesome spot for a ball game. This stadium is massive! Lots of good food and drink selections. Sat about 15 rows up from the third base dugout and only paid $30 per ticket. Super fun.

Top 5 of the best stadiums I've been to. The only thing that you need to do is educate your employees on where the same day memorabilia is in the park. It took me a better part of two innings to find because no one could direct me. But I will be back. I did enjoy the experience there and the seats are all wonderful. I also suggest doing the stadium tour before the game.

We got a chance to tour the stadium during our company business dinner. It was very beautiful. We had a fantastic dinner and drinks and then got to see some of the stadium including the dugout, going on the field, the locker rooms and even practice cages! Thank you Dot Foods for all you do for your employees. My husband has been the 20+ years and we love that you are so family oriented and treat us to fantastic things like this.

A very beautiful and huge stadium! There's something for everyone here. The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating with my grandma, who was in a wheelchair, and me. As we were waiting to be picked up, a staff member whisked us into some of the best seats in the house so we could finish watching the game with a wonderful, comfortable view.

Busch Stadium is a fantastic sports venue. Cardinals fans know when to be quiet; and appreciate the small things when there team executes small things. Entry was easy. The stadium was walking distance from my hotel. Restaurants and bars surround the stadium so there are plenty of places to visit before the game. I love that you can see the Arch right over the left field skyline. Center field is a great place for families to get together and hang out; with the large scoreboard to keep up with the game. I have been to sporting venues all over America; Busch Stadium did not disappoint. I would highly recommend taking in a game to all sports fans.

A really nice family friendly garden. Current under renovations to welcome center area, looks like a big project that will be amazing when completed. We came on Juneteenth for a free day at the gardens. They often have gardening workshops and the kids area of the gardens is amazing! Tons of fun things to play on, a slash pad, and more! Would come back just for the kids area!

Leslie and Mark are fantastic hosts. We had a lovely time, the entire mansion is gorgeous! Our bed was comfy and the room was cozy. In the morning, we had a nice meal of poached pear with a breakfast enchilada and mango juice, yum! Lily the puppy added a special touch to our visit. We will be back.

We went to the Garden Glow last Wednesday, and the Garden looks great! The new lobby and front steps blew me away with how amazing they looked. Everything looks so open and modern! I am a big fan of Glow, and of the garden in general. I love how it's set up, and the sense of peace and calm I get from being among all the flora. The new gift shop looks awesome, and I really like all the learning opportunities presented to guests throughout the garden. This is a St. Louis gem that we are so lucky to have!

This is an awesome botanical garden. It’s very large and there is lots to see and do. We spent a couple hours there and didn’t cover as much as I would have hoped. I would definitely want to come back if I had the opportunity to. There are lots of different garden themes, ponds, and exhibits. It’s really beautiful and well taken care of. It’s perfect for plant and nature lovers! The Japanese festival aspect was really cool as well. There were some fun food options and a lot of people dressed up for it. It was fun to see a celebration of Japanese culture at the gardens. Because we went during the Japanese festival, it costed a little more- about $16 a person (special discounts didn’t apply during this particular weekend). It’s usually $14 a person though. We waited just a few minutes to get in because we bought tickets in advance. I would recommend buying ahead if its a busier time or a festival is taking place. I have heard weekdays and mornings are not quite so busy.

The Japanese garden was absolutely beautiful and bloom. The climatron was very clean and and lots of room to move around. It's still early in the year so not a lot of things were blooming yet. The magnolia trees were very fragrant. Everyone was very helpful and polite. Definitely going back later on in the year when more things are in bloom.

This is just a review of the Garden Glow for the Holidays. It's open until 10pm, so the later you go, the less crowds. When we were leaving at 8:30, it was considerably thinning out. Lots of very cool light displays. Very organized as you are directed along a route. The regular garden displays are not open. Only a portion of the garden is lit up.Nice photo opportunities set up along the way. It's a little expensive but worth the money at least once. Also a great way to get some fresh outdoor air at this time of year.

The Missouri Botanical Garden is truly one of the most spectacular gardens you can visit anywhere and one of the top places to go in St. Louis. Whether they've got an exhibit going or it's just the "normal" experience you're sure to have a fantastic time in this picturesque location. The photos in this review are from the 2023 Chihuly Exhibit. There are plenty of restrooms scattered about the Garden, as well as many benches if you need a rest or would just like to sit and contemplate your surroundings. I would recommend setting aside at least 2-3 hours for a visit, more if you want to see everything at a leisurely pace.

The Missouri Botanical Gardens is like an oasis in the middle of bustling St. Louis City. Though it is a ticketed entry ($14/adult for non-STL residents), it is worth every penny (especially when you're saving on all of the free things to do around the city). We took our teenager at the end of summer, who is big into science and biology. She left saying that she was only familiar with maybe 10% of what she saw before visiting the gardens. There is a wide variety of plant life all throughout. The gardens and walkways are meticulously manicured, all amenities sparkling clean, staff are friendly and helpful, and the giftshop well stocked and making you want to spend more and support the gardens. I LOVE that there are multiple spots throughout the garden where you can purchase small plants. 🪴 There are resources for the seasoned gardener as well as beginners and students. Love the various sections of the gardens and how well marked they are. There are free days to visit and a summer-concert series, as well as various special ticketed events. I hope to become a member in the future when I have more time to visit. The membership is affordable and will keep you coming back again and again to enjoy the natural beauty.

Very impressed. It's huge with a wide variety of theme areas. We didn't have kids with us, so I didn't do more than a quick visit to the children's garden. It looked like a lot of fun. There were other areas that appealed to kids & allowed them to play. Great value!

Fun establishment in downtown Saint Louis. Parking is limited as the lot only has a few spots but paid street parking is available all around. Food was great - try the Alligator Cheesecake, you won’t regret it! I had the Shrimp voodoo tacos with jambalaya as a side and it was good. We also had the fish tacos with rice and beans which was also enjoyed. Live band was playing on a Wednesday evening

Cant go wrong with Broadway Oyster Bar. The food is always on point, I got the Shrimp Voodoo Po’boy, Cajun tequila wings, and garlic cream pasta. Set up a reservation because the place will get busy quick. For the most part always have a band playing. So enjoy the vibes!

Went for lunch on a Monday. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately. I had 10 raw oysters (only $1ea, M-F), and the Shrimp Voodoo Tacos. My wife had the sampler platter and some sort of creamy cake with a caramel sauce. The food came out very quickly and it was all delicious; I wish I could eat more. The food here was really, really good. The decor is fun, Cajun-quirky with a lot of musically-themed artifacts (they have live music 7 days a week). There's a bit of cool history here, too - some of the original building from 1843 is still in use. Maybe my new favorite restaurant in St. Louis. Will definitely return!

Great atmosphere and extremely pleased with the service. The food, however, left something to be desired. Jambalaya was great, but the muffuletta had this cheese that, in my opinion, rather ruined the dish for me. Maybe it was Provel? I will try a different dish next time.

Absolutely phenomenal. The blue crab cakes were the best I’ve ever had, the Mac n Cheese was so cheesy my lips were stickin together and was piled high with delicious buttery crawfish, and the shrimp and grits were better than moms. The food was fresh and amazing, the service was fast and friendly, and the drinks were strong. The owner even came and checked on us a couple times to make sure we were happy. Make a reservation as this place is usually packed. We will definitely be back. 5 stars

I would recommend call for a reservation. Not sure if we just came in during a busy time but the wait was long so we decided to eat at the bar. Great vibe and atmosphere. Staff was good. We would recommend the seafood. My spouse definitely enjoyed the oysters and salad. My chicken sandwich paired with the Cajun fries were ok.

A fantastic St Louis landmark of a restaurant. Locals and visitors love this place. It is one of our most goes when in town visiting family. Everything on the menu is excellent and if you have any questions just ask the amazing staff and they will direct you to excellent choices. And what’s better than amazing food? Amazing food and live music.

SO DAMN GOOD! The Shrimp Cheesecake is one of the most unique but amazing meals i’ve had in a very long time! Staff was amazing aswell, really went the extra mile. Will definitely come back next time I am in town

This is a great place for kids and for families after soccer, football, or church. It's deceivingly larger than it looks and service was pretty good and quick. Food is okay, and they have some iconic desserts. The root beer floats look excellent though I didn't try one. Seems that they are a favored since just about every table I saw had one. I had a chili mac and did not enjoy it but the person with me had a turkey club and it was good.

First things first shout out to Elijah our waiter. He was fun. Helpful. We got along very well so if you ever see him tip him well. I didn't get any food but the people who had food and I quote it's greatness. It's really delicious and by that I'll take it for their word. Definitely go back again to try everything else. Pretty reasonable and price and honestly just go back in to see Elijah he was great company. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend

The famous local root beer company, a must try in St. Louis if you’re a big fan of root beers. Although they are located on a popular street, they do have a huge parking lot. We tried some burgers, they were great. The sides were also extremely generous. It took us two meals to finish them. They also had a great selection of root beers. Will highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Delmar.

Busy place! Burgers were good. Root beers were good. Didn't know I could get a refill and was charged the refillable drink price which was a bummer. Didn't get to see them bottling soda-not sure if they were even doing it while we were there as our table was at the opposite side of the restaurant. Waitress seemed less than excited to be there.

This place was the bomb!! We had a slight wait, but for the amount of people standing outside when we walked up, it wasn’t too bad! The staff were working their butts off the night we were there. Our server was slow getting back to us in between rounds. I was understanding of that, because I watched her running back and forth constantly, so it wasn’t like she was standing around doing nothing! They were packed!! Our food was yummy! My husband had the pepperoni pizza and he loved it!! I had chicken tenders, fries and slaw(which I don’t eat)! The chicken was delicious as was the spicy Buffalo sauce with it! Fries weren’t bad, I just didn’t eat very many of them! My husband tried the slaw, but didn’t care for it. The root beer was cold and delicious! They had a whole menu page dedicated to their awesome floats! Whatever you could imagine, they had it!! We tried a root beer float with vanilla AND chocolate ice cream, chocolate and caramel sauce, and whip cream!! Talk about off the charts!! I never thought that chocolate ice cream and root beer would work together, but I loved it!!! Very different! Would definitely come back here again, but probably only to get a float next time around! If you’re in the area, this is a must try place!

What a fantastic restaurant! It was my first time here, and I loved the shakes and the food! Sometimes when you have a place famous for one thing, the other areas get neglected, but not here. The floats are incredible, but so is the food. Service was also very prompt and helpful. I had the patty melt, and it was one of the best I've ever had.

This place was really unique. We had burger, fries, and pineapple. All were on point. Then we had a "trouble float". It was so good. The attached photo is only half of a regular float. My son and I split the burger and float. The waitress was awesome and had them do half and half on each plate/mug for us. I would highly recommend this place if your in St. Louis.

Amazing! Great service and great food! We had the whole family there and we had a great time! We will be back for sure. Truly appreciated the waitress that discounted our dessert because she gave us the wrong one. We clearly tipped well. Thank you!

Wow! Great place to take the family. Just be aware, the portion sizes are HUGE!! And delicious! We shared the Loaded Fries. Three is us had plenty to eat. The little one had Mini Corn Dogs and Root Beer. Really enjoyed our day walking around the Loop. Waitress was really nice. Don’t miss it!

Such a fun place and the food was great. Every employee we interacted with was so helpful and kind. When I initially found the place I was excited because my son loves root beer and root beer floats and I thought he would really enjoy seeing it bottled. Sadly the machine was not working but that would have just been a bonus. Everything was fantastic

Fitz's stands out thanks to its signature sodas. I ordered the bottomless mugs which allowed me to try 5 different flavors (tip: ask for a sample cup). The root beer was excellent, with just the right amount of carbonation, and a hint of vanilla. I liked the cream soda more due to its creaminess and strong vanilla flavor. Moving on to the food, the Gumbo was great, but would have been better with more seafood in it. As for the Bourbon Burger, it was neither good nor bad. The sauce accompanying it lacked a bourbon kick. All in all, worth a stop if you’re a fan of root beer.

I would call this place quintessential St Louis BBQ. The food was off the hook good, we had an assortment of meats and an assortment of sides, everything was really nice. The atmosphere was really cool, getting in and out of there was really easy with the train being right downstairs underneath the building. We had a 5-hour layover at the airport, and decided to take a ride into town go see the arch and get some authentic St Louis barbecue. This place will definitely not disappoint. One of my favorite things about coming here was the service, the guys behind the line serving the food had a great sense of humor and were genuinely happy to be there. I would definitely make this a staple the next time I come to St Louis.

Oh wow. Too many great choices for one visit. I had a Burnt Ends Taco chef special with a small batch coffee bbq sauce. The meat literally melted in my mouth. The salsa was just enough to add flavor but still let the meat be the star. This place is legit and local, and convenient being adjacent to the National Blues Museum.

Key points: Food and price. The quality is amazing and it is def more for what you pay. The service is similar to a to-go restaurant, but this one has plenty of seat and the atmosphere ask you to stay. The soft drink selection is as good as it gets. I love the concept and def will be back for more.

When we just landed St. Louis, I asked my seat neighbors on the airplane where to eat. Both of them recommended this place. It is Sugarfire Barbecue, which is put on our must try list. When we tried it, we know why local people love this place. It was delicious, reasonable priced and also friendly service. I highly recommend their brisket, corn bread, fried artichoke and bean casserole. These are my favorites.

Loved this place! Packed to the hilt…we stood in line for a good while before reaching the front of the line! Cool place inside, good food, friendly staff! My husband had the pulled pork with slaw and fries, and I had the brisket with mac & cheese, fries and cornbread. Everything was good. Had a chocolate chip cookie and pecan pie for dessert. I loved the pie!!! Very delicious! Would recommend to anyone thinking of eating here!

Travel for work brought me to St Louis and the hotel recommended I try Sugarfire and I’m glad they did! The food was amazing, but what I loved the most about it was the staff and the atmosphere of the restaurant. Everyone was incredibly nice and made sure I had a good experience. The variety of BBQ sauces was excellent and I even tried the white BBQ sauce that I was a bit skeptical about but it ended up being one of my favorites on my ribs. Do yourself a favor and get a piece of pie for dessert. It was the perfect end to the meal.

Absolutely spot on atmosphere and service. The line by the cutters and servers was perfect. The guy with all the smoked meats was perfectly efficient with the gorgeous juicy fork tender meats, a pitch perfect call-out of the orders, and the half sheet pan service was amazing. The three meat combo with the smoked fried artichokes was more than enough to feed two adults, especially with the sides and a slab of cornbread with honey butter. The cornbread was sweet, dense, and perfect. I found the ribs a little dry, but the brisket was legendary, and the pulled pork was good enough. The brigade of sauces at the table were varied, but nearly all sweet. The decor was amazing from the murals of local music and history to the bucking bull with brisket it's what's for dinner plastered on the side to the skeleton on the other to the flowers under his ringed nose. Great music, fun vibes. My only regret was not grabbing a slice of pie when I could, as I'm sure either the key lime or the sugarfire pie would have been amazing.

This place was great! Love the way they let you customize the meal. The guys working in the kitchen were SO COOL. Easy to talk to, answering all questions with a great attitude. It was very hot in there so I felt bad for them, they had to be miserable, but they were polite and nice in spite of that. We loved every item we ordered and appreciated the menu options offering a little taste of everything! We came up from Northeast Arkansas and we will be back.

We are not BBQ experts, but, we like good food and Sugarfire has good food! The staff was fun and helpful as we went through the line, portions were very filling and our selection were great! I’d love to see a spicier sauce, but the flavors they had were good. Open seating, reasonably priced and good BBQ. It was out last meal before leaving the city and we were happy to have found it!

We heard so much hype about this iconic place. Gotta tell ya, it lives up to the hype. Smoked brisket was fantastic. Multiple choices of sauce to choose from. Service was excellent. So you come in look at the menu and order then go sit down. The place got filled up really quickly for lunch. We went right when they opened. Meter street parking is available. Portion was generous.

I was surprised to walk into Sugarfire Smoke House and see a line of 40+ people standing in line ahead of me. I figured I must have picked a good place. The good news is the line actually moved much faster than anticipated. The food line and the seating is cafeteria style. I was disappointed that they were out of brisket, which meant no brisket or burnt ends. I tried the four rib dinner and it wasn't that great. The flavor was okay, but the ribs were tough. They do have approximately six different barbecue sauce flavors. I will try them again, because I'm guessing the other meats are good. The french fries were great!

Amazing brisket I can’t think of the last time I had brisket that good! We also had turkey, collard greens (slightly spicy), potato casserole, cheddar sausage. All were super good! They have different bottled sodas and fountain drinks. The atmosphere was pretty loud, the kitchen couldn’t really hear you order well. They also let us know the ac went out earlier that day so it was pretty hot. Other than that it would be a 5 star! Also it’s order and sit style!

Our lunch at Sugar Fire BBQ in St. Louis was an absolute treat! As we journeyed from Branson MO to Kentucky, we stumbled upon this gem, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. I opted for the pulled pork and brisket combo, and let me tell you, it was a match made in BBQ heaven! The flavors were out of this world, and the tenderness of the meat was simply melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My wife went with the pulled pork paired with the delectable potato salad, and she couldn't stop raving about how much she enjoyed every mouthful. The atmosphere at Sugar Fire BBQ was delightful, creating the perfect ambiance for savoring a finger-licking BBQ feast. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Their genuine warmth added an extra layer of joy to the dining experience. Having run my own BBQ restaurant in the past, I know the dedication and craftsmanship that goes into creating exceptional BBQ. I have to say, Sugar Fire BBQ truly nailed it! On a scale of 1 to 10, they effortlessly scored a solid 10 in my book. If you're in St. Louis and craving some seriously outstanding BBQ, look no further than Sugar Fire BBQ. This place has everything you need for an authentic and unforgettable BBQ experience. Lovely place to dine in. Tim was our server and took good care of us and recommended some great dishes. Loved the shrimp and kalamari appetizers. We had lasagna and baked meatballs for entrees. We were also provided with a complimentary cake slice for my birthday. Recommend getting a reservation on open table, the place gets busy quick.

While visiting St. Louis we visited this spot because several friends recommended it. The Hill is a community with many restaurants mixed in with the houses and limited parking so we took Uber in and glad we did, the streets were packed. When you walk in you know you are going to have a great experience. The decor and smell of an old Italian restaurant is so inviting. While the food is excellent and a lot to write about, the service is impeccable. They work in a team environment and it works very well. We started with the arancini which was cooked perfectly. I then had the lobster bisque and my wife had a tomato salad and both were excellent. I then had the lasagna and my wife had the chicken nunzio. The chicken dish was outstanding and I have to admit, the lasagna was not one of my favorite. We had gelato for desert and it was. Wry good as well. The price was very fair.

The experience of my first time here was wonderful. We registered a table for two at Thursday night which was not crazy busy. We ordered some house special meals. Those were delicious. Parking was painful. Lol

I believe this is the best spot on The Hill. Excellent toasted raviolis, veal parmigiana and spaghetti. The house red sangria might have been the best one I have ever had. The staff as always prompt, attentive and friendly. Yes, it does cost a bit more than other spots, but rest assured, you get your monies worth!

We had a wonderful meal this Easter on our way back to Indianapolis. Was a last minute idea and even without reservations, we were able to find a table on this busy night. Service top notch and we sat in the back dining area. We started with the Arancini, and do love when it is a menu option and prepared correct. The dual sauces offered both were wonderful, though wish there were more than just two. A extremely tasty Lobster Bisque followed and must say another item often a gamble, but this was precisely as it should be. Our entrees consisted of the Halibut special and I of course went for the Bone in Veal Parmigiano. Hailing from NY, one of my favorite comfort foods. At first the price point I thought was a bit up there but veal can go that way. When I was presented with the dish, I knew immediately a good choice and as you can see, the portion oversized. Loved the baked version of the dish as well. Ordered a half portion of spaghetti with a nice Pomodoro sauce as a side. Finishing touch was the birthday cake they brought as we were celebrating a belated night out while in town. Highly recommend, if you have never visited to stop on in to Charlie Gitto’s on the Hill. A taste of Italy in St. Louis was a great dining experience for us both.

The Fillet I ordered was overcooked… Before paying for the bill, I gave them a feedback hoping they can improve. What I said was “I feel your Fillet is more like well-done. Not juicy and there is no taste.” The server just replied “You have already finished it. You should let us know before that, so you have to pay for it.” This reply made me feel like I am the one who don’t want to pay for the meal… What I wanted to do is sharing my feeling about this $50 dish… Now it’s not just the dish should be improved. Servers’ attitude should also be improved as well:(

One of the best Italian restaurants in Saint Louis. It’s where those with deep pockets like to dine. This is not a cheap restaurant, but one that offers high quality Italian entrees at a premium price. I previously lived in Sicily for three years with the US military and can attest the food here has the same real Italian quality. Pasta noodles were definitely made in house, and the Arancini’s were the real deal. However, the Arancini’s back in Sicily are probably 30% bigger and retail from street side vendors for like 2 euro. Oh how I miss Sicilian prices. If you’re looking for real Italian food, this is the place, but be prepared to fork out some cash. But make no mistake, you’re getting all star service from the employees. Aside from our waiter, a number of other staff regularly stopped at our table to top off our glasses or take away appetizer plates. They also box your leftovers which is nice and comes with the premium price. Overall, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and I would definitely come back.

It was our 1st time dining here and it certainly won't be our last! We had an amazing dining experience. The service and food were incredible. Loved the toasted ravioli! Being seated in Charlie's special booth was a wonderful added touch! Buon appetito!

By far the best old school Italian restaurant vibe on the Hill. Especially if you are seated up in the front room. Last time we were her we got a spot at the bar and that was a cool experience too. We loved the signature shrimp appetizer, but it's lost a step. They must have changed the sauce recipe a little. Still good, just not as good as we remembered from 6 years prior (we sort of had beef with Gittos after trying to do a wedding dinner here and finally gave in). Highly recommend for a date night or other special occasion. Reservations help, but we always end up getting seated in under an hour without. Beer selection is solid.

Was expecting a lot more, but the food was good. Had the toasted ravioli, the cheese bread, lobster ravioli, Caesar salad. All were good, not anything spectacular or that would make me come back. Service is top notch though.

This is going to be long.. We were sat right away. Then waited 10 minutes or more for a server to greet us. Our server explained the menu well. He made suggestions. We got the risotto ball (not the name) appetizer it was really good. Both sauces were good. My fiance and I got a bowl of the lobster bisque to share because we both love bisque. We were not thrilled with the one here. We only ate about half the bowl between us. Some bites were super rich, others were bitter, and there were chunks of something creamy in it. Only a couple of very small pieces of lobster. He had the 8 oz filet with herb butter on it and it was cooked to perfection, absolutely tender and juicy. The steak was well seasoned. Great overall taste, texture, etc. He had the cauliflower with bacon and onion that was not on menu . It was tender and well seasoned as well. He let me try his dish and we were both blown away by it. I ordered the Seafood Pasta Rosanna and was highly disappointed. The pasta was for lack of better word gummy, very chewy. I ate about 3 bites and got a mouth full of grit. Almost like sand. That ruined the rest of dinner for me. The server checked on us during the appetizers and then asked if we wanted dessert after the entree otherwise we didn't see him. As far as atmosphere...dark and louder than most bars we go to. We couldn't have a conversation without yelling to one another across the table. Hard to get around the tables without bumping into someone. Overall we were not impressed. We were highly looking forward to our date night. And sadly disappointed.

Food tastes like homemade which is good, more on the greasy side. Many people came after watching the Netflix show fresh fried and crispy. However the toast ravioli isn’t living up the hype, too hard on the outside. My waitress is very ambient, however, the attendant and bartender’s service can be improved.

Stopped here for lunch because the rating was so high, and were disappointed. Hostess at the front of house was rude, never smiled, and we were greeted with only “How many?” And “inside or out?”. She seated us and walked away without a word. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. I ordered the lasagna special and husband ordered the beef ravioli. The lasagna special came with a salad that not only included wilted iceberg lettuce, but the end stalk of the head of lettuce as well. Not appetizing. The lasagna was mediocre, served in a pool of creamy red sauce and overloaded with cheese. It was difficult to make out the piece of lasagna. The beef ravioli, however, was delicious. The sauce was flavorful, with a hint of spice on the back end. Meals with cokes and tip (because the server was very good!!) was $53. If we were local to the area, I would not return.

This is a classic St Louis restaurant on Hill.. Service was really spot on and attentive to making sure we had our drinks to getting the orders in and freshly cooked Italian food. We had a great time and celebrated a birthday at the same time. All the dishes were really good size portions and the place is so much larger than one would have expected. Sorry, didn't get the chance to take a photo of the toasted ravioli's and bresd just to start the dinner off right. And course we all had some leftover to take home...

Met my cousin in town from San Diego and she suggested Italian, so I had to take her to Zia’s! Make a reservation. House staff so friendly! Everything is crafted with attention to detail! Toasted ravioli, house salad and Shrimp Scampi Cappelini! Good choices.

Great Italian food here in St. Louis. Most entrees come with a salad and bread for the table. Parking is available on the street. I went there with some friends but there were couples and family dining out on a Saturday as well. Our server was friendly and very attentive to our table. If you enjoy quality Italian food this is the place to go in St. Louis

Got to enjoy great Italian food on the Hill, and this came recommend from a friend. It didn’t disappoint! We knew it was a busy Friday night but we showed up a little early and they were able to get us in fairly quickly. Great staff, quick service even though busy and the food was awesome! Huge portions so if you leave hungry it’s your fault!

Great Italian place! Make sure to order the fried ravioli! My aperol spritz was delicious, and a perfect antidote for the 100 degree heat. House salad and dressing was an excellent mix of sweet and savory, with plenty of cheese. I ordered the chicken with mushrooms and prosciutto. The sauce was both creamy and garlicky with a hint of sweetness, and it had a nice burn from the red pepper flake. The side pasta with garlic butter and oil was almost as good as my entree! Perfectly cooked shells complimented the main dish well. Left very happy and full.

Zia’s On The Hill Is Awesome! The food was very good. The interior was decorated beautifully with all the Italian Scenery. The service was good. Without doubt I strongly recommend Zia’s because they are great! Have a great day!

Great service!!! Excellent food. Was able to order the olive oil dipping sauce and marinara sauce bottles to go. Only drawback was the tiramisu!! Was more custard n different than im used too. Definitely recommend!!!

My first dining experience here was delightful, but unfortunately, my second visit didn't meet my expectations. The hostess on the phone wasn't welcoming, and though we were fine with the 35-minute wait, we specifically requested a table, not the bar, which seemed to be misunderstood. The bartender didn't attend to me for about 10 minutes, couldn’t order anything from bar. The server was okay. The bread served during lunch was different from my previous visit, lacking the delicious garlic and butter. Both the veal and steak had some issues, and the atmosphere could use some renovation.

The ratings were good so we were pretty excited to try this place because we were craving Italian. We ordered Alfredo and spaghetti with meat balls. The portions were very large. The spaghetti was good. The Alfredo was alright, it came like a soup - I choose to add chicken which was mistake. It tasted dry with no seasoning like it was from a can. The waiter said they prepared their chicken from chicken breast and cooked it separately and added it in but it was just not good. The service was very abrupt and the busser asked us if we wanted our plates cleared then had me hand them every single plate on your table and stack them myself, including the silverware. The atmosphere was very dark and there are stairs directly when you come in, which is not wheelchair accessible.
