Save yourself €2.5 and don’t go into the bridge. We thought we’d see something nice we wouldn’t be able to see from the outside, it’s extremely disappointing. Stick to views from the outside. The museum is an exposition in a single room inside the bridge, some of the screens did not even work and the resolution of the other screens were really bad (or that of the slide shows). The views of the bridge are not at all better than where you can just get them for free. I would avoid this ‘museum’, maybe €1 is more fair for what you get. This was the only thing on our whole trip in Andalucia we felt we overpaid for, and that says a lot considering it was only €2.5 per person! See pictures below of what to expect if you do decide to pay €2.5… Not worth it. Many of the reviews are of the bridge itself which is gorgeous and can be seen for free. Yet the museum is to go INSIDE, which is what my review is about.

What a beautiful place to visit. Small town, 1.5 hrs away from Málaga, definitely a day trip there. I went there because Warrior Nun was filmed there and I was on my way to Seville. The bridge will take your breath away. Parking is hard to find and some restaurants and stores won't open until 11 am. If you driving a minivan (furgoneta) parking is a challenge, parking is designed for small cars and maybe some minivans but good luck getting into a parking garage. I had the best 20 min of my life visiting the bridge, we stopped there to grab breakfast.

Amazing. It is so true that Ronda is one the most beautiful places in the world. Be aware weather is not the same as it is in Malaga all the times. Anyway by the afternoon the sun was shining 🤗

This bridge and the older one to the east are the only places where the southern part of the city is connected to the northern part. These bridges cross the gorge created by the Guadalevin giving the impression that the plateau has been hacked in two. The view from the bridge is really amazing and for a good photo opportunity, you can walk down to the bootom of the gorge and make pictures of the bridge as a whole.

We visited the arena, because we wanted to learn about the history of bullfight from a cultural-historical perspective. We were shocked to learn that bullfights – the ritual killing of animals for entertainment – are being conducted in the area to this day. We were also shocked at the complete omission of an animal rights perspective. The museum offers very much content on “preserving heritage” and very little on the actual elaborate and utterly draconic killing ritual designed to maximize pain, that bullfighting is.

Visited a couple weeks ago when visiting Spain and Ronda. Was a lovely museum. A lot of interesting information about the history of Bull fighting in Ronda. Value for price perhaps was a bit expensive. I’d pay 5 euro for it to be “perfect” pricing. But yeah if in Ronda 100% worth a visit.

I don’t support bill fights or killing bulls and animals just for fun. It’s sad that they still use this space for the fights , so you can see their blood on the ground sometimes 😞. The inside is cool to look at though, it’s cool to read about the place and the history inside of the venue. It’s cool that Madonna shot her music video here. Nice and central location. Paid €8 to enter.

One of the oldest buildings in Spain dating from the late 1700’s. The 8.5 euros to enter allows you access to the ring and the small museums located inside the interior of the ring itself. Fascinating to be able to walk throughout the entire arena including the cent of the ring.

A very nice presentation of the arena and the history of bullfighting. We took the audio guide and we didn't regret it, at least they tell you a lot about each thing that is marked. If you are in Ronda, I definitely recommend a visit.

The bullring tells a very captivating story of the bullfighting history in Ronda and Spain alike. You can walk through all spaces around the bullring, including the stockyards, the tribunes and the sandy ring itself. The halls beneath the tribunes host interesting pictures from the bullfighting history, costumes of the toreadores and other fight attendants and posters where you can read everything you need to know about it. We also had the audioguide for the visit and we sometimes found the information it had given us too exhausting. Otherwise a cool visit for around 70+ minutes for anyone interested in the history of corrida.

The bullring itself is a stunning work of art, with it's intricate details and impressive design. It's not just a venue for bullfighting , it's a living testament to the cultural heritage of Sevilla. Take the guided tour to have a fascinating glimpse into the world of bullfighting and the significance of this arena in Spanish history. I highly recommend taking time to explore this iconic landmark and learn about it's role in shaping Spanish traditions.An experience you will not forget.

Obviously, a bullring is not a museum, - there is one within its confines- but visitors can walk about it as if it were. Here the most beautiful and glorious pages of the world of bullfighting have been written. Opened to the public in 1785, it is one of the oldest and most beautiful in Spain. Truly worthy of a visit, even for those who are not lovers of the ring.

The bullring admission allows you to tour different sections of the buildings including the riding school and bullring. There is also a small muesuem describing the history of the bullring and Ronda. The admission price is around 8 euros and it is probably the best attraction in Ronda other than hiking near the bridge. Would recommend visiting if you are in Ronda for multiple days

Nice place to visit. The museum could lead you more info's about the stuff. But they were well arranged. It was great to see such a traditional building. It costs 9 € /person.

The Bullring of the Royal Cavalry of Ronda is one of the oldest and most famous bullrings in Spain. It was built in the 18th century and is located in the heart of the city of Ronda, overlooking the Tajo Gorge. The bullring is a popular tourist destination and is home to a variety of events, including bullfights, concerts, and festivals. The bullring is a large, circular structure with a diameter of 66 meters. It is surrounded by a passage formed by two rings of stone. There are two layers of seating, each with five raised rows and 136 pillars that make up 68 arches. The Royal Box has a sloping roof covered in Arabic tiles. The bullring is a beautiful and historic building. It is a must-see for any visitor to Ronda. The bullring is also a great place to experience Spanish culture and tradition. Great Museum. Its crazy to Imagine what people did Back in the day. Does a great Job at delivering information about old Times. You can Go around pretty freely, there arent many restrictions. A Bit pricey imo, 9€ is alright but as the Tour ist pretty short, the price could be adjusted. Would recommend having a Look though. I mean when you're Up Here you're probably Here to See this anyway :)

Totally breath taking scenic spot to visit. Don't miss out when visiting Ronda! It's quite unbelievable to see how the houses and buildings are literally built on the tip of those edges.. just gorgeous.

It is amazing but there is no viewpoint that you can see it fully. The walking path that goes underneath it, isn't clear where it starts. The accommodation in this town is over priced comparing to nearby places.

A fantastic view!! It's worth every minute spent.. We went just today and it is not too crowded which is perfect!! 2-3 hours of just an absolute fantastic time :)

You probably won't come to Ronda and not see this feat of engineering. For 2.50e you can go inside to a little museum, which is worth it in my opinion

Small but intriguing ruins of what must have been a beautiful building. The arches and ceilings still are. A leaflet and explanatory film are both available in English. Worth the entrance price of €4.50.

OK for a quick visit. It’s way at the bottom of the hill and it’s a long walk back to the top. If you are tired after a long day exploring Ronda you can safely give this place a miss. But otherwise it’s OK for a quick tour of say 30 minutes.

Very interesting to visit the Arab Baths. Short video presentation in Spanish AND English - really educational. Great preservation of the site. Well worth a visit!!!

Nice but not spectacular. They are half ruins! If you have ever been to Bath (Roman baths) in UK you will see the difference.

Interested site which provides a peek into how people enjoyed their bath few hundreds years ago. Watch the video to learn how the water/steam flows from the river through rooms with different teampratures.

Exciting archeological site. Some videos further explain the engineering features of the place. It takes only 10 minutes to watch, and it is shown underground so it is a great opportunity to cool a little. The garden is pretty and there were plenty of plans blooming.

Spectacular step into deep history, a fine introductory video to show the workings and purpose of bathing the Muslim way, then we could walk around and really get a feel for the place. Beautiful gardens too! We were extra impressed at the outside information boards which were, get this, hand carved from cork!

Be prepared for some walking to get here. Not so much in distance but up some steep hills. However, once there you'll find one of the best intact examples of these types of baths. Unfortunately some of the signs have sun damage and you cannot see or read them but this is worth a visit if you are into this sort of thing.

For me, this was the absolute highlight of Ronda. The town is certainly worth visiting without, but the Arab baths were just something else. At 700 years old, they look as if they could quite easily be started up again, with a minimum of effort. If you are visiting Ronda, definitely don't skip these.

Sizable baths look like built yesterday and if the ceramic tiles have not been stolen they can be used today. Water supply and distribution , heating and sewage systems of great performance, design and high skill people who built it on a very high above sea level town. The Arabs have to revisit their history and see what happened to them since then they walk backwards

Is nice but really small. Because of the 10 minutes video you can see it all in 15 min. The video is interesting but I'm not sure if is worthy the 4,50€ per person. Students have a discount, but for a couple with two kids you have to pay 15€. BTW watch the video first so you understand better where you are walking.

While the Brujería and Inquisition exhibition were the initial draw the rest of Víctor Manuel Lara Durán's private collection is a must-see stop for anyone in the area. The obsessively themed rooms showcase his exceptional taste for the curious, historical, beautiful and weird — conjuring a Spanish version of a PT Barnum museum.

The best museum/ exposition in the town. Just the basement is worth 4€. However, the old technologies section would require more info, maybe even an insight how those gadgets work.

Enjoyable museum with a mix of everything. Guns, cameras, witches, torture devices and other things. Entry fee was 4 euro in February 2023.

Very nice museum, good idea to visit while in Ronda. Really interesting, imagine travelling through the time and see how things have been here long time ago. Not always so easy.

One of the best museums l have ever been it ! Exhibits are very well presented, on 2 floors. Lots to look at. The museum is easy to find , in the main street , by walk. Staff are friendly, and just €4 to enter and can take photos. A must see !

You definitely cannot judge this book by its cover! From the entryway of this museum I had no idea what I would find inside. The varios collections of armaments, cameras, archeology, guitars, microscopes, watches, typewriters, and many more... were truly stunning for the entire family. To top off this amazing collection the entire downstairs was dedicated to ancient divides that were used during the Spanish inquisition. Well worth the 4 euro entry fee (kids are free)!

Lovely restaurant and very friendly service. We liked the no menu concept and we ate well with very fresh and high quality ingredients. Everything was cooked very simply (especially the meat that we had to cook ourselves). I would have maybe preferred a bit less meat as part of the meal.

Mouth watering, absolutely delicious, next level cuisine. My husband and I consider ourselves to be gourmands. This family run bistro serves its own set menu (45 euro/person) with freshly prepared appetizers, mains, and deserts that will not disappoint even the most pretentious pallette. Each dish is perfectly balanced, and although the portions are all generous, the whole menu is balanced such that we didn't leave feeling uncomfortably full and heavy. I honestly don't know how we will be satisfied with anything else during our stay in Ronda. Absolutely worth every penny! Michelin, where are you? These guys deserve some stars.

Casa Maria is a little gem. They serve really well composed set menu at a reasonable price. You can taste and see the ingredients they use, very local and fresh. All the food are carefully handled. As we were only there for lunch, we didn’t get wine by bottles but the house wines are really good and super good value. Maria and her family are super friendly and looked after every clients. It is nice to have a different white table cloth experience with local food.

This was just a fantastic meal. Maria’s Mum picks up supplies in the morning and decides what to cook for the day. There is no menu, you are just asked about allergies and dislikes. We had a leisurely lunch over several hours, and Maria recommended wines with each course at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

It's a 2 women show run by Maria (hence the name) and her mother Isabel. It's a bistro style restaurant with rotating set menu using the freshest, on-season ingredients from Andalusia. It was one of the most consistently delicious meals I've had. Every course was satisfying and highlighted the fresh local ingredients while being creative and hinting at the Moorish roots of southern Spanish cooking. I personally think the food is at 1 Michelin star quality. The dishes are made with so much care with the most precise balance of flavors. But it's a rustic, uncomplicated setting. In summary head to casa maria if you want to elevate your exploration of south Spanish food beyond tapas restaurants. We were definitely enlightened.

Wow, wow, wow! We loved this restaurant and experience! Our B&B (La Escondida) helped us make reservations ahead of time. The reservations are through phone call only. I have Celiac disease and it was no problem to accommodate it at all! They had a gluten free bread course and all of the courses were gluten free including a dessert! They ask about allergies and preferences prior to the meal. I loved that there wasn't a menu and each dish was a surprise! The per person cost was 45 euros. We each had wine - so our total bill was 110 euros (which is comparable to what we pay in the US for a nice dinner out). We sat in the courtyard which had great atmosphere. Overall, we were very happy with our choice to dine there!

28.12.2021. Nice place, good people, however their english is 6/10. Bought Secret Iberico and Hamburger, both around 14-15 EUR. The beef in the burger was medium rare, IMO "well done" was better. 4 stars because: a bit expensive, tasty food however not so well cooked, toilet is for only 1 person at time.

Good tapas restaurant with fast service and good quality food. The waiters are friendlier than one would expect in such a touristy area, but don’t expect anything special - this is Ronda, which is overrun by tourists ten months of the year. We came relatively early for lunch and got the last bar stool table by the window. Very quickly there was a wait list and some people, depending on the size of the party, had to wait quite long. We aren’t sure if they take reservations, so we recommend being there early if you don’t want to wait. We visited in January towards the end of the pandemic, so Ronda was unusually slow. In a normal year we would definitely recommend reserving a table. We tried several different tapas and found them tasty and filling. The prices are quite reasonable too. If we visit Ronda again, we will come back.

Highly recommend: delicious food and very good local Ronda wines. I came here twice since majority of the restaurants were still closed around 6-7pm, my usual dinner time :) and I wasn't disappointed.

Great little place, great and friendly service, wonderful food. Must try the tuna appetizer and oxtail á la Ronda (it was very tender and delicious). The carrot cake for desert was an absolute delight!

Dishes (Tapas) is extremely sophisticated and delicious. The salmon with ice cream (top right) feels like a Michelin star dish, with an excellent blend of flavours and texture. The potato wedges from the 120 soft boiled egg (top left) is exceptional, despite being a side for the egg. The tuna is also a very special experience where you make your own sushi (kind of). I can't imagine how this restaurant make a profit by presenting such delicate dishes but with such price. Eat as much as you can before it go bankrupt

Got Caesar salad but had no Caesar dressing! The chicken looks like the frozen kind and they only give you a few small pieces. Also got the steak, which was bland. We ate around 9:30-10pm and the waiter was not friendly! I understand he must’ve been tired but no need to take it out on the customers.

Amazing place amazing food. Try various dishes, all were tasty and big portion. The grilled vegetables was the best I've ever tried. Totally blew my mind. No more complements for this place. The service was very quick and professional.

I was impressed by the food, everything was delicious! We were also lucky to sit outside on a sunny day so another plus. The sweet potato millefeuille was the best dish, must try!!!

Love the delicious oxtail stew. I can even taste the liquor in the stew. The fries were crispy. The accompanied beverages - bottle of peach and pineapple were great. The service was excellent and the waiters were smiling. The ambience was also great. Highly recommended 👍👏👏👏

Nice Spanish bistro serving tapas as well as Larger plates like steak and breakfast items too. Outdoor dining on the sidewalk or sit inside. Prices are reasonable and the service is friendly though not terribly punctual. I greatly enjoyed the pork cheeks and the stuffed anchovies with cream cheese.

This place was excellent! We ordered the tomato salad with tuna, grilled baby squid and the grilled mixed vegetables and were very impressed with the food. Very tasty and great quality ingredients. Would highly recommend for anyone in Ronda and looking for great food!

My husband and I stopped at this cafe while exploring Ronda. The menu had a nice variety of foods and the house wine was tasty. The tomato and tuna plate had a enough delicious tomato to make it a meal on its own. The tomato was cut thin topped with the perfect amount of tuna. My husband had the meatballs topped with fried potato and then the pork cheeks, also topped with fried potatoes. He enjoyed the meats and then used the potatoes to enjoy all of the sauce accompanying the dishes. He cleaned his plates, thoroughly enjoying each bite. We asked our server for a dessert recommendation. He brought out a glass jar with a honey or jelly looking topping over some white custard or yogurt. And at the bottom of the jar was some kind of crumble. I’m still not sure what it was but it was delicious!! (See pics) The service was great - the server was friendly and very attentive. The food arrived in a timely manner and our wine glasses were quickly attended to throughout the meal.

What a great restaurant for authentic, delicious, Spanish food and drink. I was in Ronda for a week for work and chose to go here twice due to the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff! I have frequent cravings for the chipirón a la plancha 🤤🙂

Friendly service. Nice tapas. Anchovy stuffed with salmon and Philadelphia cheese is highly recommended. Grilled baby squid is fresh and tastes nice too.

Delicious tapas for 0.90€, guacamole only 3€, secreto iberico - 6€. You should wait for a place to sit. Service is fast but don’t expect special attention. Waiters are running all over the place but they have no time to explain what to do. Just choose the tapas while you are in line waiting then cross the dish in paper provided - it’s your order. Enjoy the atmosphere! Very typical.

Felt so lucky to stumble across this place after just arriving in Ronda. There was a small queue to get in but it felt like a real local institution with a warm atmosphere and welcoming staff. Ordering is via a paper self-service ticket for food and drinks from the bar. We had our fill of wonderful tapas with sangria for just over €20 for 3 people.

Really struggle to give this 3 stars, but I will just for the prices.. but you definitely get what you pay for here. Ive seen some describe it as traditional and no frills, but it just isn't traditional at all.. it's cheap snacks to go with very cheap wine. We had 11 dishes - none of them resembled any of the pics ive seen in other reviews.. or were worthy of mention. We stayed right next door so were able to get in the queue when the doors opened and snagged a table. Basic is about right, not worth queuing and certainly not worth anywhere near the rating it has. I think people who reviewed this just jump on the bandwagon. It's quirky and cheap.. that's about it

This restaurant is a MUST when you are in Ronda. The food, atmosphere and staff were all fabulous and at amazing prices. Most tapas were 1,10€ 😃 We liked it so much, we went back for lunch the next day before leaving Ronda. Tip- wait at the door to be seated. There are big signs asking you to wait. If there is a line, it moves quickly and it’s worth the wait. Drinks are self serve at the bar. The food comes out quickly after you submit your piece of paper. We would definitely go back when we we go back to Ronda. Enjoy!

Hola from Malaysia! This small tapas bar is great. Each tapas is only 1€-4€ with small portions so you can try more things. They practice a self service system whereby you have to read the menu by yourself and tick the tapas you want. Most tapas come with some bread so don’t go too crazy! Or do. It’s totally up to you. The chorizo, mussels, pork cheeks where good but the Spanish omelette tortilla wasn’t the best to me. If you’re in Ronda, especially on a budget, this is a must visit! Do try the beers on tap and wines as well. Ciao!

Local tapas bar with a wide selection of different tapas kinds. We had tried a lot and personally I liked the lettuce with vinegar sauce and bruschetta with goat cheese and raspberry jam.

This place is small, but that does not stop the big flavors coming from their tapas. Uffff really good food and it’s super affordable. We ate really well and we did not pay more that 20 euros. Also we had a treat, one of the local and loyal customer brought a special guest, her name is CARRANZA and she is so well behaved. Overall place is great, food is amazing and the price unbeatable. Just come you will not regret it, I assure you.

Traditional tapas bar with a large selection of dishes available at an incredible price (most dishes were only €1.10). The dishes were all very tasty and arrived quickly. Loved the friendly, casual atmosphere and the staff were great. Drinks were cheap. We were in Ronda for a few days and went back several times. It gets very busy so worth going as soon after opening as you can. The outdoor seating is particularly popular, but getting a seat inside was easier.

Wow wow wow. Amazing food! Just order and enjoy eating. Super friendly staff that's attentive and the food is just out of this world. So full of flavours! If you want some good local food, just come visit this place.

Perfectly satisfied with our choice “black rice” paella. The staff is extremely professional the cuisine equally good. At the end we were also served with paracetamol (inside joke - you will find out if you speak english with them). Highly recommend anyone. I was happy to give a tip here since the service we got here was one of the best among many other we experienced in southern Spain.

After an awesome afternoon exploring fascinating town of Ronda we decided to try out Puerta Grande for dinner. So glad we did! The food was incredible and the service was really perfect. We enjoyed the seafood paella, grilled vegetables and the mango creme brûlée for dessert. The flavors were excellent, cooked perfectly. The waiters were super friendly and attentive. Really cannot say anything other than - try this place.

The best place for paella and everything else on the menu. The service is the best. Carlos and José Luis make your evening a little party. Their English is good. It was my 43rd birthday and I love to Come here again every year on my birthday. High quality food and eye for the customer.

If I could give 100 stars, I’d give it. We were the only people at that restaurant but we were so cared about, so we even felt like we dined at our friends’ house. They served us 3 starters even though we had not ordered any and all 3 were so delicious with a full pallet of flavours! We ordered 3 mains - octopus, pork and veggies. And it was OH MY GOD level of tastiness, perfectly served. I do not drink alcohol but according to my husband their sangria was the tastiest he has tried so far. Finally with a bill, we were presented with very tasty shots of drinks (alcohol free option for me, so kind of them!). LITERALLY THE BEST RESTAURANT WE WENT TO IN SPAIN!

Favourite meal in Ronda. Also cus we love paella and they serve a really good one here too. Service attentive and helpful. We were turned away on the first day as we didn't have a reservation and they were fully booked for the week. We tried again the next day at an earlier timing before dinner and thankfully we managed to get a seat.

A local Rhonda favourite and very well deserved reputation as probably the best restaurant. The pork was the best I have ever tasted. The waiters were a dream. I wanted to take them home. The mixed paella was excellent. I could live here!

Food was absolutely amazing. Starter (warm goat cheese with figs and ham) was just amazing so were prawns. Everything we ate was delicious. Amongst other things we had amazing black ink paella. Service was top level, the waiter made us feel super welcome (including the kids) and he was really friendly, service was really great. We had absolutely wonderful evening. We all left very happy. Thank you!!!
