Outdoor Activities
Located at the base of the city, Playa Mansa is a serene and sandy shoreline that presents an excellent setting for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying a picnic. The waters are tranquil at one of Punta's most prominent and lengthy beaches. The sand quality is remarkable, with shallow water depth and plenty of food stands nearby. Additionally, it provides a safe environment for children if supervised by an adult.

El Palenque is a steakhouse in Punta del Este that serves up some of the best meat in Uruguay. The Argentinian barbecue here is just as good as the Uruguayan variety, and the prices are relatively average for this type of establishment. The restaurant is full of atmosphere and very comfortable, making it a great choice for a night out with friends.

The Parador Imarangatu is a luxurious restaurant with excellent food, service, and prices. The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor charming. The waiters are attentive but also take away the plates after we're done eating, which can be disappointing in a classier restaurant. However, this did not detract from our enjoyable evening at Parador Imarangatu.
