Absolutely stunning park. Gorgeous backdrop of the famous and jaw dropping Pittsburgh Skyline full with Yellow Bridges and all. Decent atmosphere at game, fans were slow to start, however as the game progressed, the game became more and more exciting. The two teams, (Hometown Pirates, and the Visiting Atlanta Braves) delivered a great performance coming down to the wire in the 9th inning. Would 100% recommend for the view alone. The baseball is an added bonus.

We went to see the Cubs play.. WOW..great ball park! The interaction with the fans was great and so inviting. The fans had such team spirit and showed great sportsmanship as well. Did not disappoint.. the fireworks after the game where freaking amazing! Best show I had ever seen! Thank you Pittsburgh for a great weekend!

My wife and I went on the PNC park stadium tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable of all aspects about the teams history and all of the parks history. Being in the dugout and checking out the suites and the press box was super cool. I can't wait to catch my first Pirates game this year!

Visited in 2012. It still ranks in my top 3 baseball stadiums, I've ever visited! The concourse is amazing, tons of food options, & the outside of the stadium, has some of the coolest statues you'll see! The stadium has great views of the city, the bridges beside it, add to the experience! Beautiful stadium!

I was asked what I wanted to do for my birthday a couple of months ago. My answer was go to a Pirates game or Mexico. I was thrilled when my birthday came and my love sent me a picture of my Pirate ticket. We arrived and parked with no problem in parking lot 2 gold walked to a little bar outside the park and had a cold beverage while waiting to get in the park. The staff checking all of the fans in were pleasant,polite and helpful. The selection and ease of purchasing snacks and beverages was one of the great parts of my experience as I did not miss but a few moments of the game while using the facilities. Section 119 row DD seat 1 and 2 is where we sat I loved the crow and would sit in that section again. In reality I would love to attend as many home games as there are but will most likely make it a yearly tradition to get a game around my birthday again. This was the most fun I have had as a birthday adventure in years.

PNC is always a great venue, whether for a Pirates game or concert. Seats are tapered nicely to give everybody a good view. Everything is pretty clean and the food is good. Minus one star for prices. They gouge pretty deep for beers and mixed drinks. Otherwise a great establishment.

We went to a Dodger/Pirates game and it was a great experience. I took a 22 year old and a 2 yo. The park was clean, Well staffed, and easy to get around. I felt very safe the entire time. Staff was awesome about upgrading our seats - I was worried the 2yo would fall as we were pretty high up. However the upper deck seats were beautiful with a view of the game and the city. People around us were also there just to have a good time. Food and drinks were a bit pricey, but that's to be expected and way cheaper than back in the bay area. There are a lot of cheap parking options well within walking distance. Loved all the little restaurants and pubs with open and outdoor seating right outside the park piping the game through speakers. Pittsburgh deserves a better reputation!

After growing up here and having season tickets for years to Three Rivers then moving away, this was my first trip to either new stadium. It is fantastic. There really isn’t a bad seat in the place and would definitely go back and purchase a standing room only seat and just wander. Easy in and out from all gates, good food.

Club seats are the best! If you are thinking of going to a Pirate game, spend the extra money and get club seats. The seats are padded and the environment is fantastic. It is worth every penny. First, the crowds are much smaller in the club seating area. There are short lines for food, and the food choices are great. Second, the restrooms are clean, much cleaner than the normal restrooms. It has a clubhouse atmosphere and it is all air conditioned inside. We sat in Section 209, row A seats 1 and 2 and they were great. We had a fantastic view of the game, and went it when we needed a break from the heat. There were no rowdy crowds, and you can get a table inside and watch the game for a bit while you are eating, or taking a break from the sun. I think the best part about the club seating is that the seats are padded. You can sit, watch the game, and never get uncomfortable. It was a great experience and one of the best ways to beat the crowds and to have good amenities. The tickets are a bit more, but you will have a great experience.

Awesome ball park and atmosphere! Even though the team itself is not very good, the stadium gets a solid crowd of dedicated fans. There is a lot of places to eat and drink at, especially Manny’s BBQ owned by Pirates legend Manny Sanguillan. Sometimes you can even meet Manny in front of his place for a picture and an autograph! Everyone that works at the stadium that I interacted with was extremely friendly. The man at the ticket window even took his time to look for an aisle seat for me! They also have a lot of activities for kids on the first level, including a big playground overlooking the River. I purchased tickets the day of game at the ticket window. There are a few parking decks around. Many hobos begging for change line the walk to the stadium. All around a modern and awesome stadium and a fun place to watch a ball game! Hope this helps! I recently had the pleasure of attending a Pittsburgh Pirates game at PNC Park and must say that it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked through the gates, I was struck by the stunning views of the city skyline and the river. The stadium itself is clean, modern, and designed with the fan in mind. I was pleased with the amenities available, including a variety of concession stands, comfortable seating, and a great selection of merchandise. The atmosphere was electric, with passionate fans cheering on their team and the staff doing an excellent job of keeping everyone engaged. The game itself was intense, with both teams putting on a great show. The Pirates put up a good fight but ultimately lost to their opponents. Despite this, I had an absolutely amazing time and would highly recommend attending a game at PNC Park to anyone who loves baseball or wants to experience the excitement of a top-notch stadium.

Very beautiful and large place, mainly indoors but I would recommend going on a nicer day so you can get the full experience of the outer section as well. If you’re a plant lover, you will absolutely love this place. There’s a lot selection of plants and trees. There were little signs that have information about what you were looking about, and fun facts about them. During our visit there were a lot of exhibits that were closed because they were working on them. The first look inside was breath taking. If you’re visiting Pittsburgh you definitely have to visit this spot !

Incredibly charmed. The many many gorgeous plants! The impressively dedicated sustainability-inspired fashion show! The lovely green-haired lady celebrating her wedding in a flower crown! The small children running about delightedly in the garden! The happy bees! The cute little environmentalist health food cafe! Overall so impressed by how much this obviously felt like a labor of love by the people who built it and who continue to maintain it. Highly recommend.

We went here around Christmas time and they had every room dressed to the nines for the holidays. It was absolutely beautiful! I recommend buying tickets ahead of time just to be sure you'll get in, buy we bought ours at the window in the lobby when we entered. Every room of the garden was more gorgeous and breath taking than the last. They even had a room full of miniature train scenes of Pittsburgh. The gift shop in the lobby was also really cute, with lots of little treasures to remember your visit. I would definitely recommend Phipps Conservatory and Gardens for all ages!

Amazing!! Went here with a friend and had such a great time! We were there when the Billy Porter display was up and it was not only beautiful but so interesting as well! Even if that display is gone, I don’t doubt that any other display they put up will be just as good! The conservatory itself was beautiful too. There were so many different rooms like a desert room and a fruit and spice room. The Japanese Garden is an absolute must see and if you want some amazing vacation photos, this is the place!

What a wonderful place! The floral displays are outstanding and I never miss their seasonal shows for Spring, Summer, Fall and Christmas/Winter! They also often have an amazing train display for the winter season. Parking on the "Island" in front of the Conservatory on Schenley Drive is free... and on Sundays all street parking is also free. Their cafe also offers good options for lunch or a snack or beverage. I highly recommend a visit here if you are touring around Pittsburgh.

Stunning displays right now of a collaboration with Billy Porter! The majority of the gardens Is all indoor domes, the orchid area was my favorite! Definitely need at minimum an hour, but recommend planning for two if you want to feel encapsulated and go through everything. The restaurant has nice options as does the gift shop albeit being on the pricey side. We saw a wedding taking place there, lovely venue for that!

Beautiful. The winter wonder light show was amazing. It was pouring down rain when we went and it was still amazing! Had to purchase tickets in advance as they only allow so many at a time. It flowed so nicely. You had enough time to enjoy and look at things without being surrounded by people. We also went on a Tuesday evening though! Will definitely return next year!

Perfect Saturday for a visit to Phipps Conservatory. Elegant, beautiful and tranquil gardens. A feast for the senses. Fun, accessible, free parking and excellent for adults and children alike. Friendly and helpful staff. Cute cafe. It was nice to get there early before the crowds to take the time to thoroughly enjoy each section more than once. Loved it. What a treasure.

This place is amazing and beautiful. If you like to be surrounded by plants and flowers, and enjoy a quiet/fresh environment, this is a must if you are in Pittsburgh. I recommend to buy tickets in advance specially if is a high season or if there is some particular exhibition happening. You will spend around 2hours if you take it slowly.

A sprawling space that I saw on a frigid evening. I’m sure it has even more charm in the daylight and when it’s warmer. Relatively easy and smooth to navigate but the seating is nothing special. Club level is warm and comfy although doesn’t have nearly enough seating for how busy it can get in the cold. Overall this is the spot to be if you want to watch the Steelers play at home, but it’s definitely not a great “value” for what you’ll receive. Ticket prices simply soar especially around any significant games. Parking is as expected impossible, so you’ll have to hike to get where you need to be. For true fans though it’s all worth it. Very enjoyable atmosphere and pretty surprisingly pleasant outlook. Very little mischief from anyone. A more mature crowd than many teams can boast.

I was surprised with how nice the stadium was. Super clean, great atmosphere and the staff working were all super friendly. The Pitt fans were ridiculous and don't understand football but the stadium was dope. Seats are a little tight and some navigation to section takes some walking but overall a nice stadium

We were there, to help cheer on, Steelers Quarterback, #7 Ben! It was his last played home game against the Cleveland Browns! We WON! 🖤💛🏈🖤💛 Food and Beer prices were High! This is a nice stadium. Fairly clean though the men's bathroom was turned into a women's and the sign changed so people were waiting in line forever not realizing there were only 5 stalls and the bathroom smelled like urine (the actual women's did not). Food was good. Staff was kind. Seats were nice.

Not the best stadium but not the worst. Came here for a pre season game kind of crowded but it was manageable. I liked how easy it was to get in. BUT really hard to get anything from burgatory on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Wouldn't come here for anything but preseason but overall the experience isn't bad. Very pretty views.

Had amazing time with my son at Ben's last home game here. I'm a Browns fan but it is a great stadium. Will definitely be going back to watch the Browns vs Steelers again.

A really great stadium, home of the Steelers and the Pitt Panthers. We've been there multiple times. Getting in is easy and efficient, there are wheelchair accessible entrances. Staff are friendly and very helpful. We had field passes last time and got up close to the action. Probably few other stadiums where fans can get this close in terms of seating either. Absolutely loved it, will come again many more times!

Great stadium for a live performance! Easy to navigate once inside and the club seat view is great. Plenty of bathrooms, however they changed the male bathrooms to women bathrooms during the show. Plenty of places to get an adult beverage as well. Plenty of parking around the stadium too. However, with how high traffic the show was, we parked downtown and were able to walk to the stadium from there.

We had great seats, the area surrounding the stadium was really nice and peaceful, sitting by the water prior to the game. Can't wait to go back.

Great concert venue. Parking not that bad. Short walk from any direction. Plenty of tailgating spots and quick entry and quick exits for every show we’ve been to. Steelers game aren’t that packed any more. Very few JERK fans. Have fun. Be cool. Make Friends!

This is a great place to go with family. I especially enjoyed the elephants, although I am sure they regularly change their exhibits. If you go, plan on bringing extra money for drinks and food. A bottle of Aquafina was $5.35. You could also opt to bring your own water and snacks, but make sure you follow the rules. Today when we checked into the gate, we didn't have anyone check our bags. But always follow the rules they have on their site. It took us about 3 hours to walk briskly around the Zoo. If you want to take your time, I'd give it 5 hours and plan on eating. For those with walking troubles, you can rent a scooter in advance or rent a wheel chair. There are lots of hills to plan for, so make sure you have a good pusher for the chair. It is a wooded area, but sunscreen is still a good thing to have. Most of all, have fun! Hope this helps.

Be prepared to walk up hills and down hills. Tram runs every 20 to 35 minutes for those with walking issues. Great zoo and aquarium. Was an overcast day with off and on showers, but the wildlife was out and about. The cats were especially playful. I especially enjoyed the aquarium. Lots of different fish from all over the world with pictures and relative facts. Fair price at $26 for non-members and $24 for senior citizens. Great way to spend the afternoon.

I thought an afternoon at a zoo for 2 young men visiting from Nicaragua, we be a new adventure for all. This was my first visit to the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium. We arrived early Saturday afternoon. Purchased tickets online, allowing rapid entry. Beautifully decorated. We were able to see everything before the 5:00pm closing. Will definitely return and possibly join !

A fairly average experience overall. There is a lot of very well designed scenery/foliage sections throughout the zoo, although the enclosure decorations and foliage are often a bit lacking. Was surprised to see the relatively small size of many of the exhibits, especially for animals with roaming habits, as well as the large amount of dirty glass. There were a few main exhibits that had no animals, but this was likely due to both time of year and maintenance. The aquarium was quite well done for a zoo, with both good set design and exhibits.

I love the way the zoo is laid out. The paths are easily walkable and shady. There are several viewing areas for each animal that allow you to get up close and personal with all of the animals. We even got to watch an elephant get a bath by one of the caretakers. The photos I'm posting are from my cell phone. It is a great way to spend a day in Pittsburgh, and I strongly recommend checking it out!

We took our two daughters here and had a wonderful time. What a great place!! Plus, the polar bears are super fun and love to put on a show! We saw one that was walking back and forth with a big smile on his face for all, I loved it!!! And, the sting ray loves to see people too!

This is a good zoo built into the side of a large hill, there is tons of parking and the entrance fees are reasonable. There is a lot to see animal wise including some larger ones like Elephants, Rhinos, Lions, giraffes, Tiger... The aquarium is also very cool and there are lower levels that look up into the tanks which is super cool to look up at. In regards to food there is a large food court with a lot of stuff on offer but you will be paying elevated prices for run of the mills food. There are a number of festivals and events at the zoo with the Asian Lantern festival being a real treat. My favorite part is you have three options in regards to entering the zoo. You can either take the elevator, ride a very long and steep escalator or you can take a trail which is the way I always go.

So I went on a day that was gloomy and lightly raining. It was awesome! Most people don't want to walk in the rain, so I was able to see the animals in peace and quiet. I also got to see each animal by myself with no one else around or fighting for a spot to see the animals. I spent probably 30 min watching the tigers with no one bothering me. It was serene. The layout of the zoo is awesome because it is just a huge loop that allows you to see everything. The only downside to going on a slightly rainy day is some of the animals aren't out in the exhibits but they are in their enclosures. You can still see them and I think get closer because it's just glass separating you from them.

I like the new part of the zoo. A lot of the animals were not visible or in their enclosures. The enclosures seem really small compared to every other zoo I've been too. This zoo is not accredited anymore by the AZA and that is concerning. There is a huge lack of employees which can sour the experience. I recommend using the hiking trail as opposed to using the elevator or escalator. With a little effort, you can easily push a stroller up the hill. It's pressed down dirt and not too steep, most (healthy) people are able to do it easily. Definitely get yourself some Dip N Dots 😋 they are a must have and a family favorite. They have a few gift shops to explore and scooter rentals. They have food options and you can also bring your own lunch. The food is outrageously priced and often sits under a heat lamp all day.

The zoo itself is beautiful. Lots of lovely plants around. The animals however, coming from a couple who's loves animals and knows quite a bit about them, some of the enclosures looked a little small and some of the animals looked EXTREMELY bored. They were also not very clean, which was a little sad to see. We got lunch here also and the food was cold when it got to us and it wasn't great, the bacon on our burger was burnt to a crisp. There was a few animals I was looking forward to seeing and they weren't in there at all. Be prepared there's also A LOT of uphills walking, my partner and I are disabled so it was a bit difficult. Overall, it's OKAY. But far from the greatest zoo I've ever been too.

I normally have a great time at this zoo. Normally, they have some sort of educational event going on. This day all of the animals were out, many were sleeping but you could still see them. A few times I was able to interact with their animals. Highly recommend this zoo

Haven't been here since I was a kid. The place is nicely kept. The exhibits look clean and maintained. There isn't a lot of guidance or explanation for kids (mine are kindergarten age). Even the kids discovery area has no museum staff to guide the youngsters. The only place with guidance was the kids fossil dig area. There were curators available to answer questions about the exhibits, but very geared toward adult comprehension.

Highly recommended!!! So many great things here, spacious to wonder around, lots of info to learn from natural history. They have some physical reconstruction of extinct animals so great!!! Educationally good for both adults and children. Entry after 3pm is cheaper but would miss some events.

After a harrowing drive through a snow storm my girlfriend and I arrived at the Carnegie. Parking was $7. Check in was easy and we began our journey. So many things to see. Seemed like you could never see everything. My girlfriend loved the dinosaur display. My favorite thing was the door marked Section of Mystery. Look for this door (I posted a picture). Loved our time roaming though the exhibits.

This is our first time here. This place is huge. It took us most of the early afternoon to go through. The dinosaurs skeletons were very cool. The kids loved them and so did I. My wife loved the art museum I thought it was ok. (Just not my cup of tea). The natural history museum was really cool though. To see everything in here would take you all day. We will definitely be back to look around more

We LOVED our visit to the museum of natural history and art today!! This trip with friends and our children was beyond special. Every single staff member we encountered did a wonderful job. It's very clean, there is sporadic seating throughout for these tired bones😅.... and there is more than a couple of years' worth of education within these walls for visual learners and those who appreciate art. The bone digging area was closed today, so we decided to get lunch instead. The food was good, the tables well spaced, and staff were truly wonderful. I will add only one note that doesn't feel good -- the flow of the cafeteria is a bit strange. In order to see all of the selections, choose, order and pay - you end up doubling back on your footsteps, nearly all the way to the cafeteria entrance. It feels like the biggest improvement, if any to be suggested, is this Flow in the cafeteria to the cash register. *This is Not a complaint, but rather a feature enhancement request!?* Otherwise, I fell a little more in love with Pittsburgh and the proud city wide support of museums like these. ❤️💕❤️💕 Pictures posted are intended to be of the actual facilities rather than the art, with the exception of the Geologic map of Pennsylvania.

I have visited so many times and there is still so much joy in visiting. My favorite is probably the gemstones. It's an absolute stunning exhibit. There is a lady that often talks to us in the dinosaur skeleton room that is probably the best employee you could ever ask for. She said she's worked there for over 30 years and is a gem herself. I love taking my time and really reading all of the information. Perfect for the youth and the adults.

Love this place. I've been here twice. Definitely give yourself a few hours. When you pay admission for the museum of natural history, you get into the Carnegie museum of art as well, and vice versa. If you wait until 3:00, tickets are half price if you only have a couple hours to spend.

Haven’t been here since high school. I went by myself so I could take my time and enjoy the museum. Some of the exhibits seemed a bit dated but others I loved. I love learning new things and the dinosaur exhibit is amazing. The gemstone exhibit can I say OMG.. so many gorgeous stones and jewelry. And I am in awe about how lifelike the people and animals are. I wouldn’t recommend for smaller kids the ones that were there seemed bored. But older kids would love the dinosaurs for sure. It’s not as interactive as I would expect for 2022 but all in all a great experience. I would have loved to see the art as well but I spent hours in the museum and ran out of time for the day.

The museum was more exciting than I expected. My favorite surprise was the Dinosaur exhibit. Very impressive. Absolutely take care to go early and take your time as there is much to see here.

One of my favorite places to go in Pittsburgh with my little ones. At least once a month we come here for a weekend visit to explore the whole facility. There’s plenty to see and talk about in the three pavement exhibitions spread all over. For wheelchair users, there ramps and elevators to help with access and bathrooms are wheelchair friendly. If you plan in get a snack, there’s a cafeteria in the basement. The only downside is the lack of gluten and dairy free options. If you are driving, there’s a garage access that you pay $10 per car.

Fantastic museum. Has an easy walking route from one exhibit to the next. Dinosaur and mammal exhibits have great skeletal fossil examples. Rock and mineral area has beautiful specimens. I like how several areas focus on Pennsylvania.

We came here because everyone said it’s the best location. I had the impression it’s the original location, which may factor into people’s opinions about it being the best. I honestly have no idea if it really is the best location, but I can certainly say it was good! The chicken fingers were perfect. You can’t go wrong with fried pickles as an appetizer. And of course, the sandwich… The coleslaw on the sandwich was some of the best coleslaw I ever had. The fries and burger were average (which isn’t a bad thing), but the coleslaw was bomb. It was crowded, so there was a wait just to sit down. The staff was busy and stressed, but maintained friendliness throughout. Prior to coming here, many of our friends warned us that Primantis is “overrated.” While we enjoyed our dinner here very much, I can see why some people would say that. Still a classic place anyone visiting Pittsburgh should try though.

Service: 4 Food: 3.5 Ambiance: 4 Cleanliness: 3 (bathrooms were like a 2) When in Pittsburgh, you gotta try Primanti's, right? Listen, was it a great sandwich? No. Was it good, yes. Would I typically put fries in my pastrami sandwich, no, but this was fun to try! Order your sandwich with an egg and get the pickle - yum! We also ordered the fried pickle spears which were good. Overall, the service was quick and friendly and the food was decent. Just kind of a thing you gotta try when in Pittsburgh.

I love this restaurant. First saw this place on Monday Night Football years ago, always wanted to try it. I had a chance to eat at the original location while visiting Pittsburgh, wasn’t disappointed. Fresh bread, perfect fries, I would move to Pittsburgh just to eat this sandwich every day.

Absolutely awesome place! Lefty and Pieruo were hilarious and welcoming! Food was delicious and atmosphere was enjoyable to say the least. The experience was memorable and will always come back when in town.

Absolutely delicious! I got the Pitts-burger. Awesome staff full of hard workers. Got to meet Toni too! Such a nice lady - We will be going back soon. Make sure to buy a shirt from them!

Fantastic food and service. Such a great place to grab a bite or to have a drink. Stop in and cool off from the insane heat. Enjoy a piece Pittsburgh history. Have the signature sandwich or think outside the box for a black bean burger. Whatever you choose is a great choice. You definitely won't leave hungry.

A must-do when visiting Pittsburgh. The parking lot is small, but there are tons of free street parking after 7 pm on Saturday. The portion was huge, so we shared the #2 best seller with everything (including onions). Honestly, I didn’t think I’d care much for it, but the texture of mixing slaw in a sandwich was tasty. Service was attentive and fast. We enjoyed sitting at the counter, watching the chef flip the burgers.

The place looked like I was expecting a 90 year old would be... I was there for that experience and I was happy! I made a trip to this original location in spite of having one of their branches pretty close to my hotel. As far as the food is concerned, it was more fun than tasting good. Serving the sandwich with the flipped over buns with slaw and fries in it was cool to try but tasted ok.

Service was fine... But this is a tourist trap... The whole place was packed and felt dirty... the food was honestly really terrible. The fires were super soggy, and their sandwiches are 90% coleslaw and fries... Plus the bread they use is just white bread and is just too thick and flavorless. Do yourself a favor and just try literally anywhere else.

Took my girlfriend along with me today for a day in the strip district and her first Primanti sandwich. Nothing screams Pittsburgh like the original Primanti Bros. We both had Pittsburgher sandwiches ( I got a tall boy) and loved them. Both sandwiches had great tasting meat and fresh tomatoes. We both enjoyed the coleslaw ( Best in the city) and also were surprised on how good I the iced tea was ! Definitely will be back next time I’m in town ! Must try the pickle if you stop in 📍

You'll dream about this sandwich from Primanti Bros. The PB corned Beef sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I've had. It comes with 1/2 lb of corned beef, pastrami, Swiss cheese, Parmesan horseradish mayo, fries and grilled slaw, served on marble rye. When it was served, I thought the fries and slaw were too much. It was genius. This is the champion of corned beef sandwiches. My guest had the fish sandwich which she said was completely satisfying. PB's deserves a 5 star for engineering a great dish (they deserve it as a restaurant as well). I would return to eat there in a heartbeat. Great job on making my taste buds dazzle. The service in a bar and grill environment was attentive and responsive.

This place is a Pittsburgh staple and definitely a must try when visiting. The sandwiches are great. I had the PB Ruben with pastrami and corned beef. The fries are good also and have many options. I had the Smallman St. Fries . So good. I've been to other locations but the original location on the strip was hands down the best. There was a line to get in but it moved pretty quickly. The service is good and the staff very friendly. The variety of sandwiches is good also. You can customize by adding an egg or other items. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

I had the pleasure of dining at the original Primanti Bros and it was a memorable experience. The iconic sandwiches they're known for truly lived up to the hype. The generous portions of meat, coleslaw, and fries all stacked between two pieces of fresh Italian bread were not only hearty but incredibly flavorful. The combination might sound unconventional, but it works wonders! We had the capicola and cheese, add an egg and it was delicious! The restaurant's history and atmosphere added to the charm of the visit. It's a must-visit spot for those looking to savor a unique and delicious Pittsburgh culinary tradition. The long wait to get in is definitely worth it !

Dined here last night. The food was delicious. The atmosphere is unique and hasn’t changed since the last time I was here, about 20 years ago. Waitress was unfriendly and not very engaged for how empty the place was.

We arrived on a Friday afternoon and we didn’t have a problem finding a place to park. We were seated rather quickly. There was a decent crowd in there, and it took a little bit for a waiter to come around but he was super friendly. It was awesome that I was able to get a flight of all of their beers on tap. I gave most of them a good score. I enjoyed the cauliflower dish. I ordered as well. I also snuck some of my sons french fries. The inside of the place is beautiful as you would expect of in a church. The pews have been position to be around individual tables. I didn’t get the story about the meteorite on display near the restrooms, but it’s very cool addition to the experience. I can’t wait to go back.

A hole in the wall that is worth exploring. I'm not sure what I was expecting from a church converted into a brew house, but it is a fun and respectful environment. Beers are on point. Food is above average in general and extremely good for a brew house. I can't imagine the fish fries they have during lent. A fun place to go for a quick drink or a nice dinner.

Unbelievable spot! We were told to make a trip to see this place and we were not disappointed. The inside of this place was incredible. The food was amazing. I ordered the Jubilee Hilltop Ranch Meatloaf and the meatloaf melted in your mouth. From the ascetics to the food, you can’t go wrong going here. They have a merchandise table inside as well with very reasonable prices. I purchased 4 pint glasses with their logo on there for $20. Definitely if you have time, stop by and enjoy a great meal with a view.

I've been here 3x now; twice for dinner and once just for drinks. I don't drink beer, so I can't judge their brews, but everything I've ordered here for food and cocktails has been very good. Everyone I've been with here has also liked their food and drinks a lot. Very cool vibe inside being in a historic Catholic church. The chicken and dumplings on the menu here in the winter are my and my husband's favorite! The meatloaf and fingerling potatoes were good too, and my dad really liked the Jumbalaya. My mother-in-law ordered the shrimp and grits and was a little disappointed that the "grits" were baked into little grit cakes and weren't in normal grit form like the authentic southern dish. We're very bummed they took that off the menu for summer. This is definitely a must visit spot in Pittsburgh.

This place was so unique! The church was beautiful and the food felt like it was good quality and fresh (the chicken sandwich was marinated so well!). Our server was sweet and personable and the beer was spot on! We will absolutely be back soon!

As far as breweries go, this is one of the cooler spaces I’ve seen. The converted church bar/restaurant kept most of the original church architecture, including the stained glass windows, giving this bar a unique, European vibe. The European theme continues through the food and drinks too. The pierogi appetizer and chewy pretzel were great starters, I highly particularly recommend the pierogi.  I was a little disappointed with the mac and cheese, but I did order it with the added chicken and it might have been better without it because the original already had bacon and bratwurst. They also served our beer at room temperature, but that may be consistent with the European theme.

So to start with the building. Just wow! 1908 church and then school. Beautiful. Let’s talk about the meteorite they dip In their beer In ( see pic ). Quirky stuff. My buddy had a couple of beers from their expansive tanks. We had the arancini of the week. ( meat lovers ) - pepperoni sausage ham. Drool. They were small but powerful My buddy had the cheese steak. I am sorry KOBE beef cheese steak sandwich. I had immediate food envy. I had a great presentation of shrimp, sauce and Gouda cake grits. Very very good. But I still wanted my buddy’s cheese steak. Amazing Will return

What a beautiful place to have a brewery. You walk in and are so overcome by the stunning surroundings, it's almost magical. I sat at the bar where I received excellent service from the bartenders. I got a couple of food recommendations and the pierogies were fantastic... But the brussel sprouts were the star of the day for me. None of their beer really stood out to me as being amazing, but they were all fine. If you're in the area, make sure you check out this place very photo-worthy

Eddy was a Fabulous server!! He was attentive and made some great recommendations!! Food and drinks were AMAZING!!!! The building is beautiful! The food, drinks and service were so great we returned for a second visit!! Eddy wasn't our server the second night, but he still made sure we were taken care of!! Chancey was our server during our second visit, and he was great as well!!Anytime we visit Pittsburgh, we will definitely be back!!!

This is a beautiful old church in all its glory, doing what the good Lord intended for us to do with churches: drink beer. While they sadly don't have an array of sours, the two Dunkels that I sampled had a bit of tartness to them. The food was fantastic. We got 4 different plates and two appetizers. The solidly good plates were eclipsed by ye exceptional plates. There was not a bad bite in the bunch. I will totally be back to try more.

Visited after a gap of almost 10 years, and this place has not changed. Lively ambience, good selection of beers and sumptuous food options. The warm pretzel met the high expectations I had while ordering. It is huge place, and would love to visit again after the pandemic wave.

We came here on a Sunday early evening and were seated right away. The atmosphere is wonderful and waitress were very attentive. We ordered pretzels as an appetizer and they gave us 4 pretzels but only 1 medium size dip. They charge you extra if you get more dip which I did not like. When they give you 4 pretzels, you should be given more cups of dip not just one. My main dish was great. I havent been here in awhile but glad to know the food still tastes good. Wish there was a live band playing to entertain us, maybe next time there will be one.

The food was amazing and the portion sizes were very generous. We had drinks (full bar if you aren't interested in beer) it was not busy but it was a Tuesday afternoon. The staff were prompt and very friendly. Definitely will come again.

What a cool place. Delicious food. Tasty beer. Live music. Neat atmosphere. I’ve been wanting to try this place since I moved here 6 years ago and it lived up to the hype. Just a fun spot with awesome German Food. I had the Jagerschnitzel which was fantastic! Will definitely return. Highly recommend.

This is just a review of the food - it was ok. We picked the place because of its location on the riverfront however we didn’t get a spot on the terrace. The interior is set up beer hall style with live music which was nice. The service is good. I’d go back only if we were able to sit outside

I had a wonderful time at this restaurant due mostly to our server & the atmosphere! With one & only ONE complaint (the sauerkraut) which is an absolute staple to me as a german. It was just too creamy. Everything else delicious. We had the Apfelstrudel which was to die for, the bratwurst, & the bourbon burger. Great water views outside, plenty of fans to keep you cool, and lots of food options to choose from. For the grand finale: THE BEER. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Tastes authentic & so amazing!!

The restaurant is located in a nice area. The decorations were cute, and I went multiple times and had the chance to sit both in and outside. Both were great! Inside there’s more of a group vibe, and I love the energy of everyone working there. It’s more peaceful outside, and great views overlooking the river and the bridge. I sat outside during sunset time, and it was really pretty. The Jägerschnitzel was delicious, and the potato salad balanced the taste well. It’s honestly my go-to now. Next time I go, I would try their cream puff!

I’ve eaten here numerous times over the last few years and every time I came I am impressed with the experience. The food is always delicious and the restaurant is an overall good atmosphere. I especially enjoy when they have live music. I definitely recommend coming here for a good time!

Great outside seating options. We were seated quickly with no wait. They had 2 specialty beers when we visited and both were good. Inside seating always has a lively atmosphere and good live music. Enjoyed many good bavarian classic food dishes here, we all left stuffed. Staff is always kind and professional. Great restaurant that we like to recommend to visitors.

My wife introduced me to German food here this weekend. It's a fun environment. The main hall in the front is where bands play for the more lively crowd. The second hall is much quieter for people who want a more relaxed feel. We enjoyed the appetizer sampler which had pretzels ( they were amazing warm), fried pickles, fried kraut and potato cakes (reminded me of a knish in taste). My wife ate the chicken, cabbage and German potato salad, which she enjoyed. I ate the grilled salmon, salad and potato salad. I enjoyed the salmon, although would have liked a slightly larger piece with my meal. The salad was really good. I thought the warm potato salad was okay. The food was not overly salty. So, you can adjust for your taste. We enjoyed oreo cream puff and apple strudel for desserts. The portions were large and they were delicious.

We were staying at the Southside Hyatt House hotel and we were looking for a spot for dinner and found this place situated directly beside this hotel. When we walked in we were seated immediately. The waitress was nice and provided some recommendations for meal and appetizer options. They had a kids menu with crayons to provide an activity for our daughter while we were waiting for our food. The food was delicious. Overall we would recommend this restaurant.

We had the buffet on Christmas and it was an amazing experience. Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. We were never left thirsty and our table was always cleaned off quickly. The staff and all of the chefs were very nice. The selection of food was incredible. They have the best ham that I have ever tasted. The desserts were delectable. The soda was crisp and refreshing and perfect. We were seated with a lovely view of the city and river. The entire place is elegantly gorgeous and gives you a glimpse into the past. The parking lots and garages are free on Christmas. Give this place a shot, it's well worth it and you won't leave disappointed.

I've always loved this place. From smells and beer in college to fine dining now. Always consistent and well attended. Good service. Recently met friends from out of town here, very nice.

Mr. JaJuan was our waiter this evening. SOLID performance... His professionalism and exceptional customer service skills are unmatched. The next time my family fly into town we'll look forward to having "J" serve us. The only negative with our dining experience this evening was, I requested to speak to the manager three times. Each request was to a different employee including the Host. The manager on duty never gave me the courtesy of dialog. My review would have been Five Stars if the manager hadn't ignored my request.

Nice Thanksgiving dinner. Delicious food. Love the 🍩 donut machine. The best donut that I ever had. Service is not very good. Not very friendly and have to wait long time to get a check . May be because of Thanksgiving, very busy and they might be tired. Will go back again for another day (not busy day)

I am a wedding coordinator and we assisted a couple here at the end of October 2022. Grand Concourse is a great place to have your wedding! The staff goes above and beyond to make everything perfect. Our couple was married at the top of the steps, in front of the glass doors, and it was beautiful. They had a sit down dinner and it was delicious. This is one of the best places in Pittsburgh for a wedding.

This meal and service will make you yearn for rail travel when it was something you could enjoy. This restaurant is magnificent and the food and service are commensurate with the surroundings. I want to thank Neil for the wonderful service that he gave us. The only downside really was the maitre d was kind of fussy and decidedly not very friendly. But once we got it past that the rest of the meal and experience was simply excellent. We both had the New York strips which were excellent size and had a delicious rub. Definitely on the pricey side but well worth it for the experience.

The scallops, calamari, coconut shrimp and mussels where excellent. The boys strip loin was grilled to perfection .The Maui Maui with crusted crab sauce was just amazing. Jason our server was above and beyond. I will definitely return on my next road trip to Pittsburgh. The original architecture of the train station is beautiful. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

The opulent architecture and stunning details of the building make the destination the reason to go. The Grand Concourse captures a time in history that we rarely get to experience and turns it into a fabulous dining experience. The food is pretty good, too! ;)

Good food, and amazing service in a beautiful building. The main courses were well prepared and delicious. The baked ricotta was a great appetizer. The escargot tasted lovely, but the puff pastry appears to be cooked separately instead of on top of the dish so it is a bit dry. They offered a free crème brûlée for our anniversary which was great; it tasted lovely, but did not have a crunch due to using cinnamon for color instead of torching sugar on top. The old platform area is beautiful and air conditioned, and the old Concourse is wonderfully preserved.

An historic restaurant. The restaurant is iconic but a little old. I like how the story of the restaurant is well maintained while keeping the place still clean. The restaurant is extremely spacious and we got the table next to the riverside view. The food was good. I would recommend the jumbo shrimp pasta

This is a fantastic place to go if you're looking for something extra special for a date night or special family occasion. Is this place expensive? Yes, but they work for that money. The food is delicious and extravagant. If I tried to make something like this at home I'm sure it would take hours. The menu is mostly seafood and stake. However there is also an excellent duck on the menu which I highly recommend. Their drinks are just as good as their food. They have a unique drink menu. The service is kind and responsive but not in your face all the time. Also, the view of the city and the river is great. The only critique I have for them is that they're located at the end of a strip of a bunch of restaurants and they're the furthest from the garage. It's not that far, so if it's a nice day it's not a big deal. However if it's cold outside or raining definitely bring a good coat or umbrella. I suppose that's less of a criticism and more a thing to know before you go. This place was great. 10/10!

My wife and I have been here numerous times. We just recently had an anniversary and obviously had to celebrate it at probably the most beautiful and relaxing restaurant in all of Pittsburgh. Food is always 5/5 and service is impeccable. Very historic building in itself and don’t mind spending a lot of money here. Worth every single cent!!! We will be repeat customers for a very long time!

In a private room the party ambiance was great, but acoustics in the room were less than ideal, with noise levels a regular cacophony as conversations at the numerous tables made for sometimes difficult, taxing persoal dialogue, even with those right next to one another. Fabric on walls or acoustic panels on the hard surfaces, or in corners should be able to address that. Food was quite good, and the historic building are often cited as standout elements drawing guests for the continental fare. Great views from the tables, and decor that really brings the old railway station alive.

Really liked the atmosphere of this place! Very calm and relaxing vibes, and even though the dining area is on the smaller side, you’re still able to enjoy your meal in privacy. The greeter was so beyond sweet and the food was really good. Definitely want to come back and try the bone marrow!

I came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and we both love it! The food was amazing, especially the curry mussels! The steak with truffle fries was great as well. We will definitely come again to try other things on the menu.

Absolutely incredible, I wish I could give higher than 5 stars. The food and service was next level. I always have a certain expectation when I'm visiting a fine dining restaurant, this met and exceeded any and all expectation. I will absolutely be returning in the future - there is a reason we had to put in a reservation over a month in advance for a prime time spot on a Saturday.

The hosts who welcomed us were really nice (2 ladies). The waiter was a bit cold, also didn't check on us regularly during dinner. The 50oz tomahawk definitely didn't have as much meat as I thought (the main weight was the bones), but the quality and flavor is decent. Overall a nice dining experience.

The food is very good except the steak for two. It’s very chewy and nothing special. Just big and expensive. This place was awesome years ago when it was about 1/4 the price. Now everything is 3-4x price, not as good, and missing many of their best items. I understand things have changed since covid and inflation but this is crazy. It’s like $150 a person with a drink or two at least. Not worth it in the slightest.

I really wanted to love this restaurant based off of the menu and the look of the restaurant from the inside, but it just quite didn't do it for me. The cocktails were good, but none that I'd be thinking about months from now. Some of the food came out cold and my pasta dish didn't have enough flavor to it. The staff here is very friendly, but the food and drinks were lacking. Another thing to note is that a reservation requires a $25 deposit per person which is a bit annoying because the quality of food vs. price per item just didn't match up.

I am so happy for Meat and Potatoes to be back! I almost feel like the food is better than it’s ever been. I went to dinner and was able to try a few things on the menu and everything was top notch!

This was my first experience with this restaurant. It was a beautiful place, though I have to admit the seating was a little inconvenient. The tables for two were mere inches away from other tables, and one party would share a bench seat with others. I've seen this arrangement in other restaurants, just never quite as tightly together. The atmosphere was still pleasant, ant the service was good. We decided on the Beef Wellington for Two, which came with a hefty price tag of $114. We were told it would take an hour to prepare and we were absolutely fine with this, we were (as stated) pleased with the atmosphere, and I had a couple of cocktails. My favorite of the evening was their tropical take on a gin and tonic, highly recommended. We also had the Foie Gras, and that was absolutely incredible. When our main course arrived, it looked beautiful, but surprising. It was the same price range (perhaps $10 less) as a giant Tomahawk steak for two) and yet it was a small serving of beef wellington. Yes, it's what we ordered, of course, but when a couple orders "Beef Wellington for Two" one expects, I suppose, something other than a typical plate of food. Maybe the intact wellington? I don't know what we were expecting and it was perhaps on us for not asking, but we were a little disappointed with the presentation. We had high hopes for flavor! I did want to like it, but the pastry crust had a slightly burned taste to it. The steak, though it was perfectly cooked, was somehow somewhat flavorless. There seemed to be a lack of seasoning through the whole of it. I WILL say that the vegetables served with it were absolutely divine and I'd go back simply to have those. Am I unhappy with my experience? Not at all. Would I get the wellington again? Nope! I'd like to go again and try something different and see if that was simply an off night. (To add: they do not validate parking for the garage, for those looking for that information.)

As the first time my wife and I visited was five years ago and they’ve changed some things since then this was more like a first visit. We were welcomed by friendly greeters and promptly seated. Our waiter arrived, welcomed us as well, and provided spectacular service from that point on. Having looked at the menu before our visit we already knew what we wanted, Welsh rarebit as our starter and Beef Wellington for our main. Both of these choices were miles beyond our expectations and it will be hard to stray from them for any future visits. To cap off the dinner we had Pots de Creme for dessert. The total experience and food were well worth the price.
