Harrowing place, but a must see to understand what happened to the great lovely people of Cambodia. You get a headset on arrival with your language and follow the numbers and ques from the audio. Please note at times this is very emotional and can be quite disturbing.

Should come to this site after visiting s21. Good to come with a tour guide to explain about Khmer Rouge. There’s a short 15 mins video available after you finish walking around the area.

Wish I could call it beautiful, but it has a horrible history. Came to visit my country for the first time on a solo trip. This is a must for those that are born outside of Cambodia with a Khmer background. You will return back to your country humble. I recommend the audio tour, there are multiple stations you can visit and hear the story behind it.

I had such an amazing experience at Choeung Ek today. It was extremely sad hearing about the history of Cambodia and being at the grounds where so many Cambodians lost their lives unnecessarily. The ‘Killing Tree’ was by far the hardest part of the tour - just standing next to it and hearing what happened I literally had shivers! The audio tour guide was fantastic, very easy to navigate and overall a great touch to the tour that meant you could do it at your own pace spending as much or as little in each section as you wanted. An unforgettable experience and one that you should put on your list of things to do when in Cambodia.

Although deeply sad and depressing, this memorial is a must when visiting Phnom Penh. It's a respectful way to explore and understand Cambodian history. Make use of the audio guides which enable the perfect experience at your own pace. Again, though recommending this, I wouldn't bring minors or visit if you feel not comfortable witnessing the barbarian crimes of the Khmer Rouge.

Okay so you need to come here for sunset! It’s like Venice beach or something. People out playing everywhere and super lovely views. Also lots of places to drink a beer. Walk near the water and find a boat. You can drive for one hour for 5$ and drink beer. Awesome

This place is worth wearing a mask (yes still to protect the King) in 40 degree heat! It's stunning and you can get lost walking through it. Be respectful of the rules because this is their King home and he is very loved and important to them. But just loose yourself in the shocking beauty of it all.

Quite a lot of construction work going on around the whole palace. Very quiet when I visited, although the works on some of the buildings spoilt the tranquility.

Interesting place to visit if you're in PP. Unfortunately a lot of the site was under construction while we were visiting (July 2023) so some of the areas were off limits. We didn't have a guide and there isn't much signage around so you'll definitely want a guide if you're interested in the history of the site. The buildings are spectacular and the gardens are immaculately kept so all in all a nice place to visit for an hour or two and get some photos. Just be aware of the tour guides and tuktuk drivers around the building. We were approached by a few who told us we wouldn't be allowed into the palace with how we were dressed and that we couldn't buy or rent clothing there. This is a lie, you can buy trousers and a t-shirt at the palace for $3 each, the guides just want to persuade you not to go to the palace and take their tours instead.

Entrance fee included the Silver Pagoda. Be prepared to spend around an hour or so to visit the both. Dress sensibly with shirt covering the shoulders. There was a noon break when visits were not allowed. The Palace reopened at 2pm. The Throne Hall is the main building of the Royal Palace built in 1863 and it’s still used for religious and royal ceremonies. Unfortunately, photos are not allowed. Around the Palace ground, there are quite a few stunning architectures displaying the typical Cambodian rooftops and design.

Ticket price was a little high at $10 per person but it was a nice place to visit for the day. I would suggest adding this to your Phnom Penh itinerary. The silver pagoda area is the highlight in my opinion. Masks are required to enter and you should also dress modestly with shorts below the knee and no shoulders showing. The palace closes in the middle of the day It’s open 08:00-11:00 and 14:00-1700 daily.

The palace is on the smaller side but the king actually lives there! Do get a fire because otherwise you’ll miss out on most of the fun! Our guide spoke both English and chinese and was very helpful in taking group pictures and very fun. Ticket is 10 dollars each and guide is another 10. They give you a small bottle of water when you exit. Make sure your pants or skirts are below your knees or you can pay 3 dollars to get a pair of local pants to wear. The entrance is at the front facade of the palace facing the river, but to the side. The front gate is closed unless there is an event or the king needs to go in and out. Google map says they open at 9am but when I visited they open at 8.

Beautiful place, but be aware some areas are not open for public. Entrance is 10 dollars/person and only cash. Few locals try to sell you face masks at the entrance saying that a mask is a must. Dismiss that, a face mask is not compulsory any longer to get into the complex. Dress properly though (covered shoulders and knees as usual)

Amazing and I took a tour guide which was certainly worth it. Can get up close to most places and exhibitions including the emerald Buddha but not allowed into the throne room. The amount of gem stones; pure gold and silver on display was truly awesome and the history including stuff going back to Napoleon time was next level. Highly recommended.

I visited this palace before renovation. The place is very good and one of the most important place in Cambodia.

Beautiful buildings through the palace grounds, we were able to look into see the throne hall. entry to a couple of the temples was allowed. We were there for about an hour, this was enough time to have a good look around.

I read the reviews and decided that yes $10 entry was too much for Phnom Penh for a palace that was mostly closed. So I went and had a look around the outside, whilst the main palace building looks lovely, especially at night, there really isn’t that much to see there. Not worth $10 when most is closed

Worth to visit, entrance ticket is 10$. Beautiful inside and as I saw, they have good guides inside, who speaks very well English. Be aware if you go in the afternoon, they have a "lunch time" and they open palace for visitors only at 14 o'clock

While it's a small collection, it's worth your time (and price of admission and a guide) to spend a morning or afternoon here. The art on display is impressive and the guide gave a good explanation of why it mattered as well as an introduction to Khmer history and culture. The courtyard and the cafe are also good places to stop for a while. And you should check out the museum restaurant for lunch outside the building

USD10 for foreign adults entrance. Quite a lot display of artifacts from Angkor Wat. Since we had already visited the temples in the UNESCO Angkor Archaeological Park, there were countless sculptural decorations. This museum seemed less attractive.

The museum is a nice combination of interesting architecture, beautiful grounds and a large number of unique artifacts. Good place to visit and spend at least 2-3 hours. Once you walk through the exhibits you can just find a bench and sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of the gardens

I was absolutely mesmerized by the sculptures in the museum. There are enormous sculptures and different rooms filled with arts which reflect the different centuries. Visitors can put on headphones and listen about this distant time. Another reason why I recommend going to the museum is because they have very beautiful garden with fish ponds where you an actually feed the fishes. There also have big parking lots and a cafe for refreshments. To sum up, I would highly recommend visiting this gorgeous museum in the heart of Phnom Penh. The sculptures and the amazing architecture of the buildings are definitely a must-see.

A stunning display of Kmher history with figurines, statues, bas reliefs, maps and many other items from all periods of Khmer history. For those that like museums and history this is a must!

A place that you should visit on weekend or holiday with families and friends especially for kids. It's a good place for people who like to know about the historical and culture. And for some kids who like feeding fish also have many kind of fish there.

It’s not bad, if you have time to spend. But the quality of the museum is disproportionately low as compared to the ticket price they are charging foreigners. No audio guide. To be honest, I expected more.

The museum was smaller than I expected for that ticket price ($10). When I went there, there was no audio guide so I couldn't really understand the history as there wasn't much explanation. If you're interested in the architecture then I think you might want to visit this place because the design is pretty unique but currently some parts of it is under construction

Not exactly what you would expect of a national museum. No Information on modern history or very old stuff like stoneage or even colonial time. Mostly stone statues of different ages. Maybe with an (audio) guide it would have been much better. Just on your own with the signs provided it's definitely not worth 10$ per person.

There's minimal information on the exhibits themselves. The ticket counter makes no mention of an audio guide option, while most exhibits supposedly have an audio component, which could enhance your museum experience. Some exhibits are from Siem Reap and a lot from Hindu mythology. The location is off. The museum is next to the Royal Palace, not on a crossroad.

My family of six thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the museum. It was $10usd for a guide, which I recommend. We went here before our trip to Angkor Wat, which I think helped piece together the history better later. We spent over an hour at the museum. It was pretty hot and humid throughout the museum, but we were still able to enjoy ourselves.

Nice hilltop wat in the middle of the city. Ancient, dating back to the 13th century, but well maintained and with beautiful murals. A must visit. Foreigners are $1 entry, of course.

Nice temple up an a hill walking up some stairs. It's famous among local to come for praying and worshipping. Nice and shady to walk around. If you are a foreigner 1$ for the entrance. Local is free.

For a nature lover like me, this place is a hundred percent heaven😇. I can stay all day long in there sitting around the corner under all of the big trees. You can also have a mini picnic there with your family, friends or lover. I believe that place is quite sacred because I saw a lot of people coming in there to pray. Moreover, local people(Cambodian) can go there for free but not for foreigners. Foreigners need to pay 1 dollar.

Historical city site and prayer ground for Buddhists. Inside of the Temple is very ornate and interesting, and the surrounding park is nice to walk around. I knew a little bit of the history beforehand but think the park would benefit from some plagues of some sort (maybe do this as part of an extended tour around the city if you want the full scoop). There's a Cafe and an Arts and Crafts Center which was unfortunately closed when I visited (Sunday). For just $1, it's worth it, although I don't imagine this taking up more than an hour of your time.

I went early like some people suggest to avoid the 1 USD fee. However the back door was closed, also there was a security guard at the main entrance the time I went, 6:20 am. A good park and temple, not much to see though.

Silver Pagoda is situated inside the Royal Palace ground and houses emerald Buddha statue just like Bangkok Wat Pho. The ticket is along with the Royal Palace. Silver Pagoda ground also have some other small temples and architectures. Nice place to visit but over-priced. The ticket costs 10usd and is valid for the royal palace as well as for the Silver Pagoda Temple. Since you can only get into the central building of the temple complex where you can find the emerald Buddha, the visit doesn't take too long. I really missed the chance to get inside more buildings. There is also a small copy of Angkor Wat. Really interesting. I personally liked the paint around the whole wall. I don't like the fact that the palace and the temple close at 11am until 2pm. But it is good that the ticket offers you the chance to visit both places.

It’s way too expensive compared to other things you can see here, $10. There is no audio guide, you can get a guide for you, no idea of the cost, I always run from not tabled prices. Was able to get some info from other guides. Like in the past there was a big elephant so that the king could walk around, but now they are Buddhist so no more elephant. You need to be careful with the cloths you bring, sometimes they harass you more then others, yesterday they didn’t let me enter with a top tank and a scarf, said no scarfs allowed, had to have a T-shirt. Today I say women inside with their shoulders totally out. They sell T-shirt here. You can only enter in like 4 buildings, you cannot take pictures in two buildings ( the silver pagoda and the throne room.

Royal temple housing thousands of Buddhas in various sizes,poses and materials including one in jade. Only a few of the silver floor tiles visible in the carpeted interior. Photography not allowed inside. Serene and peaceful inside. One is free to sit for a while on the carpeted floor and meditate.

Nice place to visit in phnom Penh but half of the palace is close. if you want to see the silver floor, look at the entrance on the side of the carpet. The Buddha collection is quite impressive and the building are beautiful. One detail, the building are build in concrete and not in stone. It remove a little of the spirits of the place

Silver pagoda is the splendid one among the important buildings of Royal Palace complex. It's called pagoda yet it's such treasure house of Royal Palace cuz of thousands of precious objects included Buddha and kings statues. On the outside wall, the Ramayana depict was painted and the story starts from the south part of east gallery following clockwise.

Chicken sour soup, fish Amok, scallop with fresh green seed pepper, for sure, we know of are Cambodian food. The avocado crab, I am not sure. This is a place to go for treating oneself, to a well decorated, flavorful, and different meal. But not for the service. Most of Asia are not there yet, when it comes to high end waitressing/waiting. Still needs a little improvement. All in all, I will go back for the better other restaurant service, atmosphere, and surprisingly fast serving food. I wish this place success.

never been first time here! but i’d say it’s definitely cambodian food you want but it’s a higher price luxury restaurant. not the kind where you have to dress up nice but the prices are definitely higher than other hole in the wall restaurant. my favorite dish is definitely the fish amok. the service was great! always making sure everything was good and she was making sure we ate until we were full as a joke. definitely an amazing scenery full of trees and pond of koi fishes. definitely go give it a try at least once.

My first Cambodia visit and first Cambodian food! I heard this restaurant is quite premium local food. No wonder why everything was so perfect. Foods are quite similar to Thai food but less salty which I liked the most. Must try the Banana pancake!

A restaurant with lots of greenery setting within the city area, very resort environment with good service and wide variety of local foods. Will definitely return to try other food when I’m back to Phnom Penh.

This restaurant has a traditional yet modern twist in terms of the environment and menu - both of which had a luxurious quality. The menu offers a great selection and the quality and taste of each dish we ate was of an incredibly high standard - which reassuringly is endorsed by global celebrities (including celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey and Jackie Chan) shown tastefully around the restaurant.

Amazing local cuisine! It was very delicious and fresh!! Of the menu we had number G5; River Lobster, R1; Kep flower crab fried rice, V1, ; baby Gai Lan vegetables (next time I will try V2 Morning glory) C3; Amok fish (local dish)!

My most expensive meal in a month across Vietnam, Cambodia and Bangkok (didn’t go anywhere else in Thailand). For the quality and gourmet aspect of the restaurant, I feel that the price is still just a little bit pricey. I had the crab fried rice which was presented beautifully, and tasted just as well, if not better. Aside from the meat stir fried with the rice, it also came with 2 claws with very fresh and delicious crab meat. However, it was the seasonal ice cream (3 flavors) that stole the show for me. Hands down one of the best ice creams I have ever eaten, and I self proclaim to be one of the biggest ice cream eaters in the world haha. Recommended place! Staff that served me was super, explaining to me the dishes, and stuff, telling me he hand pick and design the ice cream to be sold seasonally.

Wow! This is up there with 1 of the best Indian restaurants I’ve eaten at in South-East Asia. The service in the restaurant was fantastic and the food came out in good time and was well presented. All dishes we ordered were absolutely delicious. If you are looking for a fantastic Indian meal then Namaste is a must visit!

Really really good Indian food! Some places in Phnom Penh can be quite disappointing, but the food here is really good. We ordered the biryani, which was amazing, and an array of curries and flatbreads. They were all super good. The staff are so kind and attentive. I really recommend.

First of all.. i’m in love with the Lamb Biryani it’s so delicious!!! And hot chai <3 Those are my *must ordered* menu I love the atmosphere semi fine dining thingy, the restaurant is very clean, the toilet is pretty clean also, comfortable and friendly staff. I visited twice so far and there was a day where the staff gave me the suggestions on how to eat some of the dish properly. For example this dish is very good with this sauce etc The curry was good with strong spices the chicken tikka, the Samosa was delicious. I ordered this one bread that has cheese on it(sorry forgot the name), it actually taste pretty good but too much garlic imo. BUT.. I caught that one time, they undercooked the chicken so maybe you guys should eat carefully too In conclusion, i would and i had recommends this restaurant to my friends. You should give a try too!

First thing you see entering this restaurant is the beautiful modern decor . It makes the ambience feel classy and luxurious. Food quality is great and it shows that it's been prepared by talented chefs. I have been enjoying their meals for last 3 years and it's consistently great food. This time I ordered dish named sham savera which origins from chef Sanjeev Kapoors creation, wonderful taste cheesy inner with green outer shell koftas in buttery tomato gravy perfect with more butter naan... one of the Best Indian food restaurant in Phnom Penh

Food was awesome! Portion was fair enough for 2 pax, taste was flavourful. Love it! We was unhappy with the service. The waiter only provided us menu card of drinks. We struggled to call the waiters as all of them was on their work & did not face us. At last manage to order drinks, I was about to say lime juice with no sugar and he only listened lime juice & told me to wait and left, came a while later with iced lime juice. He was lucky that the lime juice wasn’t sweet at all so I’m okay with it. I was curious that he actually took my order when he stopped me and said wait but back with the drinks. After taking drinks order he eventually gave us the food menu I was like why can’t just give us both menus at same time? My husband was shocked when he just pulled the menu which was under my husband’s hand without saying excuse me. The food came, no cutlery on table come on.. when I asked for it the waiter gave my husband and left and where’s mine?? Thank goodness that the food was delicious so I didn’t make a scene there. Team, please improve your service. Show some smile to your customers, you guys giving us face as if we owed you guys thousands. I would maybe try the other Namaste branch and stick to whichever gives me good service as I love the food.

British Indian tourist - my wife & I came here for our 5 year anniversary dinner & it was empty so we got served immediately. The food tasted great, the place was hygienic & matched our expectations. Priced well, our bill came to under $40 for drinks, a platter each, 1 main & a biryani. The only negative was they lit an incense stick which I can’t tolerate due to an allergy which made me feel uncomfortable the whole time.

Food was gorgeous, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Also feel like what we got was for a reasonable price. However later that night both my friend and myself didn't feel great that night. So if you have a weak stomach maybe something to think about.

This place has great Indian food at amazing prices. The service was very attentive, and the resturant was clean. They didn't have all their alcohol on the menu. The lamb Rogan Josh was good. I asked for spicy and was not impressed. I would return and emphasize the spice level

Very good service and food. The waiter gave us several recommendations, and they were all tasty. We ordered aloo chana chaat, a spicy cauliflower dish (forget the name, but it was my favorite thing), a lamb dish, and naan. Highly recommend! Also, they gave us plenty of fresh water which was very welcome.

Food is good and flavor is rich, typical indine cuisine, music is not fitting annindian rest One downside for me is there are very very limited options with chicken breast But if you like thigh chicken or meat then give it a try Cottage cheese bread is amazing

Come here if you are looking for an upscale feel and the option to sit outside and inside. I liked how they cooked the Chicken 65. Better than other Pakora chicken! The owners have a heartfelt story. Came to Cambodia in 2019 and collaborated as partners to open their Namaste Indian Restaurant. It was unfortunate that COVID had arrived and added more struggle to establish themselves in a street full of clubs, bars, and alcohol. They are the only food focused joint on Bassak Street. They have unique Indian dishes I haven't seen anywhere else. Must come!

Friendly staff good food and fair prices however we both felt unwell later that evening which we determined was due to the spices used, if visiting be wary of the very spicy dishes but still worth a trip!

This was my best Burger in Asia so far! The bread is prepared fresh every day and also lightly fried. Salad with a good French salad dressing. The fries finally well seasoned and also crispy. The sauces with them are excellent. The meat is tender and as it should be. Crepes was also good🍔🍔❤️

Probably the best burger place in Phnom Penh. The restaurant is cosy, super friendly staffs and the burgers here are juicy. They have varieties of coffee too. Highly recommended 👍

The flavor and texture of the burger were just pretty good, but the bread that they used in their sandwiches were incredible. The ingredients were very fresh - the salad was crunchy. Their sweet potato fries were mediocre at best. I think they needed to be cooked a little longer. All in all a pretty good meal.

Came into this cafe in a heavy thunderstorm at Phnom Penh. A very welcoming dinner indeed! Burgers come in choice of classic (normal size) or couz (smaller version). We ordered the set menu which came with fries and a free drink (Cambodia beer of course!). The beef patties was done nicely with lots of greens and sandwiched in two super soft and crusty buns. Yummy! Can’t ask for more really. Well done!

Exceptional. The gnocchi starter was the standout dish, easily the best I’ve ever had. The setting is charming and intimate and the price is about $25 / person with a couple of drinks. If you’re going before mid-July make sure you’ve got cash as they’re currently changing card machines!

The place of this restaurant is pretty small, there are only a few tables, so make sure to reserve a table before you come. Meals are pretty scrumptious especially the Angus steak, but the price is not really friendly.

In my opinion this place is still the best French/International restaurant in Phnom Penh. I have been living in this city for the past 9 years and have seen many places come and go. I have been to Le Langka on several occasions. The restaurant has some excellent dishes on the menu and a good variety. Portions are not too small and expensive as in some other hip places. The menu is creative in the sense that you will find new compositions every couple of weeks. Fully recommended!

Narrow and small but very busy and lively place. Ordered 3 food but they missed 1. Very disappointed of Pork chop,still I don't understand why this is pork chop. Left many pieces...ㅠ The entrée of avocado and crab is yummy. Humble wine list. Kind staff but need training. No parking.

Food is really good, but the price isn't. The prices of the appetisers and mains are the same at Villa5 but the atmosphere, service, space, location and cleanliness is no where near Villa 5's. I would give it 5 star if the price is brought down by approximately 40%. I would also suggest the owner visit Villa 5 to get a benchmark of the level of dining service and quality of food to remain competitive.

Absolutely wonderful, I really enjoyed this tiny but well designed restaurant with tasty food. The service is really good and you can ask them for a picture of the food (presented on a tablet) that gives you a good sense of what you will be served and eating. In terms of access finding the right path is tricky. You should reach from the pasteur / road 51. Find the alley by the Guardian drugstore and go to the end of it. The restaurant is there

We went to La Langka just for a drink and ended up having a meal as the menu just sounded so good, we were not disappointed! The food was great, the service was great and great wine so all in all it was great! and we will for sure be back as I would like to try the entire menu😂 highly recommend this French restaurant.
