This was a fantastic museum with ongoing great exhibitions. I loved 'Matisse in the 1930s' and 'Macho men' exhibitions so much. Its permanent collections are huge. I couldn't even see half of it even though I've went this museums 2 days in a row ad spent 6 hours each day. I love impressionism so this place was like heaven. This museum also has great American Art collection which made me surprised. There was huge collection of glass art so if you love glass art this place is must go. Overall, this museum was one of the greatest museum in the US I've ever been to and I am planning to go back soon so I could see all of its collection. Admission ticket is awesome because you could use 2 days in a row with paying only 1 ticket and you could go to Rodin museum for free as long as you shows the ticket from Philadelphia Museum of Art. What an awesome deal for visitors!

Great place to sip a drink and enjoy the art. You can spend hours and hours here. This is an amazing place to visit In Philly if you are interested in art and history. They have an impressive collection of arts and artifacts from different countries and time in history. Remarkably well preserved paintings, rooms to show lifestyle, and cultural artifacts: engraved rugs, and sculptures. There was live music, you can get some light snacks or drink. They also have cafe and gift stores. They do have parking lot for visitors. I recommend buying tickets online, on first Friday of the month I think you can visit it at little cheaper than regular days.

Really beautiful and gorgeous building. One of the most beautiful exterior areas of any American museum. The ‘Rocky stairs’ and the jet fountain outside are stunning. Walking outside and seeing the skyline of Philadelphia is also spectacular. Inside, there is a beautiful collection on Impressionist art, however, I found the rest of the museum lacked the same quality. But a great collection nonetheless. Some good Picasso, Monet, and Van Gough.

I have been to The Philadelphia Museum of Art twice, but I have not yet been inside. On my most recent visit, it occurred to me that on my next visit, I'm going to make it a priority to go inside. I cannot comment on the interior of the museum; the exterior is lovely. If you are facing the museum, do not expect the Rocky Statue to be at the top of the steps. It is to the right of the steps on the street level in its own section. Everything about the exterior of the museum is exhilarating, from all of the people climbing the steps and shadowboxing, to the ornate statues, to the beautiful view of the city down Benjamin Franklin, to the endless photo and video opportunities. Even the walk down Benjamin Franklin is beautiful. Don't skip a visit to the Museum when visiting Philadelphia.

Very cool space. Visited with my son who has recently moved to Philly and we agreed you could go back again and again. We got there toward the end of a long day but thoroughly enjoyed what we were able to see before closing. Views at dusk we're lovely and we found the Rocky statue as we left. Great day!

Philadelphia Museum of Art is one of my favorite attractive places to go with the family. I'd take the kids to check out some rooms there and the history, I like that they have a cafe area in the ground level area. You can eat and drink whatever you like there. You can take pictures there as you wish. Also, I wish they open until 7 pm because 5 is early to be closed. I don't think I've any cons to mention. I highly recommend for family trips.

I took my husband on a date at the Museum of Art on Friday night and we had a great time. On Friday, between 5pm and 8:45pm, the admission is free (donations are welcome). The atmosphere was perfect: a live band was playing jazz music and we grabbed a drink by the steps. The museum has a huge variety of paintings and pieces of art. Artists like Picasso, Duchamp, Matisse, Renoir, Man Ray, Monet, Manet mostly find a spot on the first floor. But don’t be shy, ask the staff about specific painting and they’ll be happy to help you navigate the museum’s map.

Absolutely stunning museum. It’s got everything. I can’t say enough good things about this museum. The building itself is an architectural wonder and a must see you when you come to Philadelphia. Tip you can go to the side or the back of the building to get in and avoid the lines. Also make sure you buy the city pass. It will get you into almost every museum in town as well as the hop on hop off bus you’ll save a ton of money.

This is one of my favorite art museums I have visited. My boyfriend and I have very different tastes and preferences and we both found many works of art that were breathtaking and spoke to our interests. The galleries are well organized and museum personnel were friendly. This is a wonderful museum to explore across styles and artistic mediums.

Huge museum with sooo many must see pieces! Note- the entrance at the top of the "Rocky Steps" is closed. You have to use the North/East entrances. The printed map they provide has indicators of specific works that are renowned, so on my quick visit I made a point to see those. A huge variety of art and artifacts (American, European, Asian, Modern, etc). Helpful and friendly staff, clean restrooms, overall very respectful visitors. Highly recommend visiting this museum.

I am not the type of person to really like Art Museums but this was pretty cool! It had many different exhibits through the different eras. Kids are free and adults cost $25. It was a pretty cool museum with cool exhibitions. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time for the special ones like Matisse. But, the permanent ones were still pretty cool. It had a lot of great American Art collection. Friendly and accommodating staff. Definitely try to have a lot of time empty to explore the entire place.

Beautiful experience! Went here with my family, and there as so much to see. Also, I found out that a normal ticket gets you two consecutive days!! (Yes, Monday and Thursday are together since Tuesdays and Wednesdays are not open). Amazing prices of art work everywhere, and there's something for everyone. There is some sections like the armor, and some east Asian sections that are temporarily closed, but that didn't hinder the visit. Didn't try the shops yet but everything looks very nice!

Attended for Friday evening happy hour. Wonderful ambiance and upscale experience. Professional jazz singer and musician. Mixed cocktails packed a punch and white & red wine was available. Impressionist exhibit featuring rare Monet paintings is a must-see

Came for a history lesson and educational tour while visiting Philadelphia. Arrived right at opening during the week and there was not any line at all. Purchased the Daytime Self-Guided tour as you receive a audio headset that gives you prerecorded info for each area. As you go from one area to another, you'll see signs which tell you the audio clip to play on the headset. This allowed you to tour the facilities at whatever pace you wanted in whatever order you preferred. It also had many extra audio clips that weren't part of the main tour, but you could listen to you if you wanted. The paper map also gives the locations of the various areas the audio clips reference. There was no time limit, so you could stay as long or as short as you wanted. I'd say the main tour lasted about 45 minutes. As far as the tour overall, this was very interesting, educational, and somber all in one. They did a great job of preserving the penitentiary just as it was until the closing in 1971. There were also many interactive stops along the way and several artists exhibits throughout the facilities. It wasn't just about the penitentiary itself, but also the role the penitentiary system played in the 1800's - 1900's and even to current days. It also looks at different perspectives from punitive, restorative, or reformative justice. This was a nice tour full of interesting and educational facts.

This was a bucket list item and it was awesome! Sure, it's not as scary as it probably is at night during a ghost hunt, but it was still really cool. Lots of great history, and the audio tour was very information. The entire experience was fantastic.

Such an iconic place. Some parts are completely in ruins but somehow, it gives energy to this place where lies a strong history of convicted people. It has a great audio guide that provides you with details about the the penitentiary. Save, at least, 2,5 hours to enjoy the visit and the audio guides.

Great experience! Lots of history. Some of the cells have been preserved and used for Art Installations. Hand sanitizing stations throughout walk. Didn't understand why some areas were closed off but are open at certain times of the year (cell block 12 for example) still had a really nice time reading and listening to the Steve Buscemi narration of audio guide. Would love to return for a night time visit!

One of the coolest places I've been to in a while. We did the hand on history where they take you to the places the regular tour doesn't take you and it was the best part. We eneded up going to the kitchen, chapel and hospital wings. Gary was our tour guide and he was the best. Answered all our questions and was so nice. Definitely a must see. Buy tickets in advance to save a few bucks.

My daughter (18yo)and I really enjoyed our visit. We spent several hours there. There is so much well presented information to take in. The building is fascinating but the education aspect is as good. We learned so much about the current state of the US and global penal systems. It was pretty shocking stuff. I am left with the insane comparison of the much higher annual cost of incarceration versus an Ivy League education. I think that all citizens should see this. They may develop greater sympathy for convicts and why they need education as well as a loss of their liberty.

This place is really cool... and creepy. Most of the buildings are slowly falling apart but certain areas have been restored to provide visitors a glimpse of prison life when Eastern State was operational. We walked here from our hotel by City Hall and purchased tickets at the gate. We chose the self guided tour where they provide headphones that have recorded information about different locations around the prison. The narrative is fascinating as you learn both the history of the prison and the history of incarceration in the US. I'm definitely interested in returning for their Halloween festivities. This is a must-visit attraction in Philadelphia.

I've done so much reading up on this venue and finally had the opportunity to tour this place. I took my kids with me and they really enjoyed the experience to tour such an old facility. The audio tour was phenomenal and added to the experience. I really want to do the haunted tour they do in the fall. I'll be back again soon in the future to tour this great facility again. It's amazing that most of our prisons are structured off of the design of Eastern State Penitentiary.

Coming here is like an interactive museum, and it’s guided with an audio tour which is cool. Despite it being very fascinating and full of history, it felt solemn walking in an area where many were deprived of basic human needs, and seeing the different facts of this prison and the injustices that occurred. There are exhibits all around besides the actual prison which are very interesting and informative, and don’t forget Al Capone’s cell is here too! A must see exhibit is the Prison Today, which is interactive and based on the modern day US prison system. Overall, I really enjoyed coming here because it’s not only a great history lesson, but much needed eye opener.

Great experience. Even my 7 year old enjoyed it a lot. You take the tour on your own at your own pace. Handicap accessible. They provide you with audio recordings going through about 10-11 sections. The sounds and the story telling turns it up a notch. They sell water and snacks in there so you can actually snack as you walk around. Was it scary? I would say not at all but if you can put yourself and your all into what you are hearing and witnessing it can be.

If you love history and want a real life experience this is the place to go. I was in shock of just how they preserved this building but at the same time seeing the decay of the cells was great. I enjoyed the walk through audio tour. Also there was a section where local artist came in within one of the cell blocks. I would get there earlier to ensure you have enough time to see everything.

An atmospheric place where you understand that it is better not to go there in reality. Huge passages, small cells without windows, with a narrow gap in the ceiling, high walls surrounding the prison, death cells, abandoned deserted corridors, from which mystical cold blows. This is a very interesting historical place, I highly recommend visiting it. And yes, there is Al Capone's camera, with the music of those times and the setting. I recommend buying tickets in advance online with a discount coupon.

In my opinion, the architecture of the building is far superior to the actual collection of art. Some of the individual pieces were really good but it’s curated so poorly… there’s maybe like one good art piece in a room of 45 bad pieces from famous artists who had not yet developed their skills yet. In a way, it’s fun to see that these recognizable artists had so many failed artworks that were really missing the mark before they started creating great impressive art… but in general that’s the impression I got from this museum. So many of the artworks could be filtered out to really make the handful of amazing ones stand out. The lighting in the rooms is horrendous which made it very hard to appreciate the color and strokes of the art, and the quirky arrangement of art all stacked one on top of the other was somewhat interesting at first and then became incredibly annoying because you couldn’t fully appreciate the art when it was hung up next to the door in the hall where everyone was walking or above the door higher than you can comfortably see. The museum app allows you to scan the art to get info on each piece and then they send you an email with the art you saw. I liked that. I thought it was a nice modern touch. In general, the museum is worth going to, but just not the best museum I’ve been to. Could be improved.

The small garden just outside the entrance is amazing! It makes me think about my trip in Japan. The mirror-face pond is so beautiful. I arrived before the museum is open, so there is no others. The sound of winding blowing among leaves and the birdsong both give you a sense of tranquility.

Amazing experience for any art lover. Large collection of European and American modern paintings including Renoir, Matisse, Degas, Rousseau, and many renowned artists. The rooms are packed with pieces curated in thought-provoking ways by Barnes himself and without overwhelming texts or explanations like most museums. It was highly experiential and inspiring. Recommend at least 3 hours to properly enjoy all the galleries.

The most pretentious museum I’ve ever been to. It’s obviously a huge scheme for the Barnes family to avoid taxes by investing all their money in art and a non-profit organization (which I’m sure turns a hefty profit). Also, Mr Barnes has a very particular taste in art…many, many female nudes. An excessive, distasteful amount of female nudes. It’s a nice building. I’m glad I went on the free day but I wouldn’t want to pay for this.

My favorite museum experience by far. The Barnes is unique because it lets you, the visitor and viewer interact with the art as you please. It is up to your own personal perspective, creating a evocative experience. Unlike a traditional museum there are no plaques or descriptions of the art. The only signage is a tiny, almost microscopic plaque of the artist’s name at the bottom of the frame. The Barnes is an immersive treasure trove of Impressionist art that forces you to think outside the box. Must see if you are in Philly.

WOW! Over 4000 pieces of art in this incredible museum. When admiring the works, one of the guides (Mark) was incredibly helpful and informative, educating us about the Dr. Barnes, the collection, history, the location, and about specific paintings. They have an app where you can use your phone to scan the art and it'll tell you all about it (look for the QR code signage when entering the exhibit after the cafè). They have a coat check (required), and very nice and clean bathrooms. Don't forget to go upstairs to admire the rest of the collection!

What a world class gem we have in Philadelphia. Most outstanding collection of French art almost anywhere in the world. New Modigliani exhibit from around the world phenomenal. First Friday open to the public.Enjoy stellar music, cocktails light food and after hours access to the galleries. The museum building itself on "museum row" is stunningly gorgeous As a recent member have been treated to private after hours docent tours and a wealth of online tours and classes.

This was on my bucket list of art museums to visit, and it did not disappoint. It not only exists as a showcase for beautiful and amazing art, but Albert Barnes’ belief that art is for the enjoyment and edification of everyone. As you go through each room and view the paintings amongst the furnishings, metalworks and other art objects, you can’t help but marvel at the care and effort that Dr. Barnes took to purchase and place each piece. What was he trying to highlight with each arrangement? What was he trying to teach? In addition, there are more Renoir and Cezanne paintings here than anywhere else in the world, and that includes France. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

So much history is tucked away in this historic town. Visitors can feel the fabric of American society being woven as they navigate through the relics of time. Paid tickets into the independence hall and the liberty bell not required after 5pm.

Must do if you go to Philadelphia. We went early on a weekday morning soon after it opened and experienced really no wait other than getting our pictures with the bell. Some decent historical information to see before you get to the bell. Without a large crowd, it really doesn’t take much time to check this out at all. No tickets or admission fee required. Just walk up and go in.

If you're in Philadelphia, make sure to visit this place. Depends on the time and day you visit, it could be crowded, but the line moves quickly. Before reaching the Bell, it's a good idea to read some intriguing historical information. The surrounding area is also quite nice.

This is nice place lots of history, the Liberty Bell star of show. The wait was about 15 minutes and they made sure to move the line very quickly this was an amazing experience to see not just “Is Liberty Bell”. But the history of the Bell and what it means just as Americans, But to others from the other parts of the world. It is something for everyone to see and take how lucky you are to live in the United States.

Wow the best thing ever! You enter through security which you have to take of your (sweater,bag/purse,mobile phones and any belongings in your pockets) and once you walk in there is a sort of exhibit that you can walk through . Then the liberty bell is great!!!

It's been a very long time since I've been to the Liberty Bell, certainly prior to 2003 when they built the new building. The new exhibit was stunning - the layout was easy to follow, there was so much to read and learn, and they had a good mix of audio/visual to plain reading. Such an important part of our nation's history!

Pros: Historical significance Educational exhibits Interactive displays Clean and well-maintained facilities Convenient location Cons: Can be crowded, especially on weekends Lines can be long, especially during peak times Overall, I would highly recommend the Liberty Bell to anyone interested in American history. The bell itself is a powerful symbol of freedom and democracy, and the exhibits and displays do a great job of explaining its history and significance. The interactive displays are also a lot of fun, and they help to make learning about history more engaging.

Very fun to see this historic artifact. Really like that you can see it very well from outside the building. We were there after hours so still being able to see the bell 🔔 so we’ll lit was a nice surprise!

Very cool place to go check out if you're in the area. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Very educational and cool at the same time!! There is an upstairs where you can have a bite to eat and it has a great view. The bathrooms were very clean and family friendly.

The amount of history enveloped in this, Liberty Bell is unfathomable. This place is busy at all times of the day, so you can expect at least a 15 minute wait. To see the bell itself, there are no tickets required. Simply join the line and go through security before you are able to see it. The exhibit is pretty nice, and it is incredible to see the bell itself. I highly recommend going across the street to the visitor center for even more exhibits and videos.

06/20/23 - short line, not particularly busy, weather was perfect. I love the preservation of history! It was equally viewable all the way around. Plenty to read and look at while standing in line to see the bell itself! Make the time, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. There was not much of a line at all. Total time in and out was less than an hour.

After the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, the Rocky Statue is the next Philadelphia stop for tourists. The statue is free to visit. There is always a line, but it goes fast. People spend about 30 seconds with the statue. You can ask the person behind you to take a picture for you. Sometimes there's an entrepreneur who will offer to take pictures for you. I paid one enterprising young man a dollar. Some people didn't pay him anything. I'm happy I did because he helped the line go much faster and he was an expert with camera phones. He took 10 photos of me in different poses and in both portrait and landscape modes, all in 15 seconds.

It's not in top of the stairs like in the movie. Only reason we saw it was because of the line. We pushed across the street and hopped it for pictures. It's free and people will definitely wait the few minutes for a pic. We even took pictures for each other. CAUTION: there are two guys offering to take pics with your camera however they expect a few dollars. I was used to it being a NYer but my friend was a little overwhelmed.... until I introduced her to Mr Softee🤣🤣

A must...especially for movie/Rocky fans. Near the base of the Philadelphia Museum of Art stairs and nearby surrounded by the beautiful park. Lots of people running up and down the steps as expected. There was a line for taking pictures by the statues but it moved fairly quick as most people took a few quick photos and kept it moving...

amazing experience i had in philadelphia i always watch all the Rambo movies and taking a picture at the rocky statue was a unique experience. the place is very beautiful and I highly recommend everyone to visit Philadelphia

If you are in Philadelphia, of course you also have to come here 😉 Impressive next to the "Rocky" guide in front of the statue is the view from the stairs. Funny to watch at the same time how many "storm" the stairs, regardless of age, gender and physical condition, to celebrate themselves upstairs in Rocky Pose. 😂 The view of the Museum of Art at the top and down the stairs towards the skyline are impressive. It is worth strolling along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway towards the city.

I really loved this one, and this Statue Of Rocky is right next too , the Philadelphia Muesum of Art, which you should definitely check out but to get to the point I absolutely love Rocky Balboa even My Dad those like a lot so being able to get a picture in Front of the Rocky Statue and recreate the Famous Scene of Rockys Famous Run up The 72 step stairs which I recreated two times and it felt so good just like how Rocky felt if you are Visting Philadelphia like I having been doing you have too go over there and recreate The Famous Run from Rocky and get a picture in front of Rocky as well . It will be awesome

There was a long line forming at the statue. But if you come here already, you mind as well get a photo with him. It’s quite incredible that people here take him as a real life historical figure. I overheard so many kids asked their parents of who this guy is. Cheers to the movie that created cult following for Philly.

This is a famous statue of Rocky that has been moved around during the years. Now it sits at the base of the stairs to the Philadelphia Art institute that Rocky famously runs in the movies. The statue is larger than life sized, and free to visit. There was a line to get pictures. We wanted to hop back on the tour bus, so we didn’t wait for a picture, but still got to see the statue.

Had a great day riding in Philly last month. It was great to see cycling is a big deal in the city and young people enjoying it. City should consider closing the city center for bikes and pedestrian only once twice a month. You Like my bike? Follow on Instagram #muratibicycles

Located basically right in the middle of the city It’s is an amazing location right by the museum to the right of the museum to be exact Tons of people have fun and running up and down the stairs for a little bit of Rocky nostalgia Beware of the parking lot and your belongings Also beware of people offering to take your picture at the rocky statue they expect a tip after and can get a little bit rude Make sure to wear your walking shoes but it is well worth it !! Definitely come again

Went here tonight and coincidentally it's their 30th anniversary as well. The owner came over and she was very friendly and gave out food suggestions. Jenna the waitress also was very friendly and helpful as she helped my party to choose the food. Everything was scrumptious from the bread right up till dessert. They even comp our desserts which is very sweet of them definitely would come again

EXCELLENT!!! There’s a reason this is the #1 Italian restaurant in Philly on TripAdvisor. I went with my 2 co-workers. We had a ball!! Maria was so kind, gave excellent recommendations and always wore a smile when coming to our table. Laura was a hoot! She’s welcome in New Orleans anytime!!! When I go back to Philly, I’m definitely going back to this restaurant….can’t wait to hear about Laura’s trip to Italy:) Last but not least—— the food O M G I hope heaven serves Italian this good 😋

They were so attentive and so accommodating with our last minute reservation. The food was spectacular especially the Salmon, burrata & the Chicken Francese.

Our favorite restaurant in Philadelphia! My husband John and I come to Pesto every time we visit Philadelphia! Connie and Gianna are absolutely wonderful hosts and the food is always delicious! Pesto was one of the only restaurants open when COVID started and I was diagnosed with cancer last September. And Gianna made my husband and I feel right at home when we came to Pesto. We were in a strange town and felt saf and just needed a hot meal and she helped us get our mind off our sad moment. We have continued to visit every time we come to see my surgeon and now I am Cancer Free!

I had a fantastic meal. The owner Concetta was simply amazing. She is so charismatic and I appreciated her hospitality. The food was a six out of five stars. Thanks to my friend Emilio for recommending this gem.

I'm gonna be honest.. when I go out to eat, Italian isn't first on my list. My mind has now changed. Ristorante Pesto is PHENOMENAL. The food is amazing and It is BYOB wine, but you can get drinks there also. Beyond the amazing food and very great portions, the experience is unlike any other. As you walk through the door, the hostess is the owner and is your typical Italian Mom. Always smiles, and gives everyone hugs and kisses... feels just like home and I'm not even Italian. I'm Jewish LOL. Most of the employees are also part of the family or close friends of the family. Service is top-notch, food is the best of the best and everyone is SO welcoming. Honestly, Pesto is one of my favorite places in Philly. Request Jenna or Gianna as your server :)

A fabulous dining experience! They were so welcoming and took extra care to explain their menu and answer our questions. The Cavatelli was delicious and lived up to the accolades it received. Another favorite was the Linguine Pescatora, keeping to the seafood theme - a forte of this remarkable Italian eatery. The Fettuccine Alfredo and Chicken Parmigiana are fantastic options for those who prefer the familiar or want to avoid seafood. The portions were large, easily enough to share or fill a hungry belly. Save room for dessert too. While the food is great, what puts Restorante Pesto over the top are the staff. From being welcomed at the door to the young man who cleaned our table, we were treated like family. Thank you. The next time we are in town we'll be back for sure.

This is an amazing Italian restaurant. Concetta called us back and let us know we could get squeezed in and we jumped on it. Jenna was our server and she was superb. Very knowledgeable and patient. Definitely will be returning

Our family of six had an excellent Sunday brunch here. We sat outside right next to Rittenhouse Square and we enjoyed all the dishes. The kids especially loved the breads and the pastry basket. It gets quite busy, so it's a good idea to make reservations.

Went here on a gift certificate. Made reservations a while back. Don't try to just stop by for a table, although you might get lucky. We sat at a "window" on a gorgeous spring day. People watched while we ate brunch. Great service by Jose. Very good food. Yummy bread. Decent drinks. Not inexpensive.

From start to finish the meal was immaculate!! The flavors in my chicken and potatoes just spot on. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside & out, the service was very friendly and attentive. Would return and highly recommend to anyone visiting Philly!

Great experience, large french restaurant, super busy, located on a corner looking at a beautiful park. Great setting and atmosphere. Food is really good, from amazing basket of bread to beef tartare and chicken club sandwich we had. Everything was great! Service is fast and kind. There is a wait to be seated so be prepared to wait a bit.

The atmosphere that they created is very Parisian. It's a beautiful restaurant with attentive staff. The food was mostly amazing. The tartare was phenomenal. It's always a good sign of quality if tartare is good. The gazpacho, while not French, was delicious. The only disappointment was the escargot. It's already taken out of the shell and put into a tiny cast iron pot of delicious butter but that's mostly just to mask that there's maybe 2 escargot and the rest is just quartered mushrooms. Overall, pretty positive experience

It’s one of my new favorite spots. The ambiance is inviting and has a ton of natural lighting. It really does transport you to a local cafe in Paris. I ordered the mussels as an appetizer, however, it’s a large enough portion to just order as an entree. I usually order mussels a lot whenever I see them offered on a menu, so I know a good dish of this when I taste it. And these were amazing. They are now my favorite mussels in the city. And the fries, that came as a side, were crisp and salty— also very good. For an entree I got the eggs Norwegian. It’s an egg Benedict with smoked salmon as the protein. The poached eggs had a good hollandaise sauce and were cooked to have the perfect run/ooze. The smoked salmon was fresh. I’d get this again too. Basically, I’m coming back.

The food was great and the atmosphere was really lively in this restaurant. It had a great feel. I was very pleased with the lamb shank. The servers were attentive. One thing I really liked was the fresh breads they brought us as starters. Really tasty! All in all a great experience for large groups.

We really enjoyed coming here to brunch. It reminds me of Balthazar and Pastis. I had the mussels and they were really good. My friends all seemed to enjoy their dishes as well. The pancakes were very fluffy and surprisingly had very little sweetness. We had the beet salad, tomato tartine, heirloom tomato salad, and deviled eggs as appetizers and they were all delicious. A warning for vegetarians: you will be ordering off the appetizer menu because the entree menu doesn’t have much for you.

Great service, good food, nice decor, very clean! Loved the food here as well as the experience. Would definitely recommend for a brunch/lunch. They currently require vaccine proof/mask wearing to ensure safety of all customers - love this precaution!

I think there is more hype than this spot delivers on. The food was good. The wine list was not what I expected and didn’t meet my expectations. The bread basket was INCREDIBLE. The dessert was INCREDIBLE. The salmon was OKAY. Very average and nothing special. The veal dish was packed with flavor and delicious.

Amazing French restaurant that will transport you back in time. The French onion soup is to die for. The bread is amazing. Be careful, too much will fill you quick service is excellent. I’ve been twice in two weeks and I always enjoy it. The beet salad was great as well. There were four of us and everyone enjoyed their food.

Never been here. The atmosphere was a little more casual then excepted but very nice. Service was phenomenal. Our waiter was very good at his job. Was very happy with the service. Super friendly and really made you feel comfortable. Anthony was a one of kind server. Very knowledgeabl, super friendly, and funny. Highly recommend.

SO many good things to say about this restaurant! Large portions for great value - you will come out full and likely have leftovers. We took home 1 container of food we could not finish and the two tables next to us also had 2 containers to take home. Incredibly delicious food with flavours that pack a punch - every single dish was a “win”. So fresh, perfectly cooked, lively, colourful presented beautifully. I loved being able to try a bit of everything. Amazing ambiance- perfect for a date night, celebrating something special or just out to eat good food. Top notch service - napkins were refolded when we got up to use the washroom, water was constantly refilled, food was timed very well and the server was so friendly. It was my husband’s birthday and we got complimentary champagne for a toast, stuffed dates and a candle that came with dessert. Good vibes all around. The only con is the difficulty in making reservations (I can see why now, it’s truly worth it). My tip is to put yourself on a wait list and reserve a spot as soon as you get an email mentioning spots opened up.

AMAZING! There are no words that can describe how good the experience is, it’s more than worth it. Honestly, $75 for the whole amazing experience is cheap. The taste of the food is superb! Service was great!! They even brought candle with the dessert as I asked during reservation, as surprise for my son on his birthday.

This is the most amazing restaurant I’ve been in my life. This is my third time going and it has not disappointed. My partner and I left from Washington DC to have a meal. Service from all ends is impeccable. Staff makes you feel like you’re at home. You’re so well taken care of from suggesting coat check to explaining dishes. Dilara was our server and she was FANTASTIC!! She paced our meal well and told us when to stop eating the first course to save for the second (EXCELLENT advice). The food is truly outstanding. Tears every time. The meal is definitely more pricey than before but it’s worth every penny. We can’t wait to return!

The service is very good and helpful in accommodating to my low carb diet. The hummus, fried cauliflower, chicken, and branzino are really good. Sadly, most of the dishes are too salty unfortunately because of the picked or cured ingredients.

Incredible dining experience in Philly! We went for my Mother's birthday, and we were truly wowed by the 3 course meal. The hummus and lamb in particular were incredible.

It’s as good as everyone says it is. Truly one of the best meals and experiences I’ve ever had. The mezze and pita was perfect and every dish that came out just built on that. I didn’t think it would live up to the hype but it completely surpassed it.

I didn’t make reservations so ended up getting seated at the bar. Our bartender was great very attentive and made great suggestions about what to get. Drinks were good too. The interior is beautiful and food was great. Everything we had was awesome. The hummus and pita were the favorite along with the Bronzino. Kebab was seasoned perfectly. Will be going back again.

Absolutely fantastic and worth the hype! We sat at the bar and our bar tender was extremely attentive. I was a little hesitant to sit at the bar over a table, but we received the same, if not better service. It is a five course prix fixe menu, with a 20 percent service charge on the end. It came out to a little under a hundred per person. All of the food was phenomenal. Some highlights: loved the hummus and flatbread, brisket toast, and lamb shoulder. My fiancés favorite course was the desert. While not the most appealing to look at, it tasted like a key lime pie. Everything was fresh and delicious. We finished everything, leaving a comfortable full. There was incredible attention to detail in every bite. If you are trying to get reservations, I recommend being flexible in your date and setting notifications for when a table is available. It was much easier getting a table for a Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday than the weekend. I cannot wait to return to one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in awhile!

Zahav lived up to and even exceeded the hype! The food was phenomenal, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was serene. There was sooooo much food, but it was all amazing. There wasn't a single thing that we didn't love and the kitchen did a spectacular job at helping with my food allergies. You have to go at least once....but once you do you'll definitely want to come back!

Chef’s tasting is sort of over board for us since it’s a lot of food. The appetizers were unique for but my favorite is the one with fig. The rice dish is perfect. I fell in love with the Branzino. Each dish is carefully curated. We were seated with the view of a lovely historical building. Drinks are also delightful to the palate: cucumber, sumac &tonic and the one with pistachio ingredients 😗. Topped off with hazelnut basbossa for dessert 😚

Maggiano's Little Italy is a classic choice for Italian cuisine. The family-style servings make it perfect for sharing and creating memorable dining experiences. We stopped by for dinner and it was a lovely experience. Our server was Skylar. She was very pleasant, efficient and on point with checking in, water etc. The food arrived very quickly even though the restaurant was busy with many, many takeout orders. We arrived late around 8:15. The portions were huge and we ended up eating only half of our food. So plan accordingly. :) Everything was delicious. We will definitely return. :)

I enjoyed the food and the Prosecco. Portions are very large and prices are as expected for USA. The service is very friendly and the time was enjoyable. For those of you who are no longer spring chickens, the lighting is a little bit diffused. All in all we were happy with everything.

My group was visiting Philly for a day trip from NYC on a Sunday holiday weekend. We stopped at Maggiano’s for an early dinner, sat down around 4:45 and decided on what to order by around 5pm. It was a perfect time to get there, we had no issues with service or speed of food being brought out. Our waiter was very attentive. The food was wonderful! I had the Lemon & Herb Salmon with a side of Sautéed Broccoli (listed in menu as Roasted Garlic Broccoli). My company had two of the pasta dishes with their own veggie sides - we all completely cleaned our plates. One of us also had a Peach Bellini, which she also enjoyed. This was a perfect time to go because the restaurant was empty enough that we could have great service and a short wait time for our food. We chose to eat here prior to our walk back to The train station and if you have the time to do so, I highly recommend it! This meal was worth it and could definitely hold its own against some of NYC’s best Italian spots.

Really good American style Italian food. If you have a party of 4 or more you can order family style. You pick a salad 2 appetizers and up to 4 mains. I recommend the mushroom ravioli it was out of this world 🌎. The service was excellent. My only problem (and it's a small one) the price for wine is high 13 bucks for a glass of house red wine is a bit much.

Our server was outstanding. The food never disappoints. We ordered the shrimp scampi and beef medallions entrees, and the stuffed mushrooms and calamari for appetizers. So so good. Great portions!

We always go here when we do a day trip into Philly. The servers are friendly and attentive. They have a delicious frozen peach Bellini (definitely add the swirl - you won’t be disappointed!). They also have the option to do a take home entree for $5 when you purchase one - an awesome deal for the high quality food you receive to reheat for a quick delicious meal. The lobster carbonara is rich with the truffle sauce and the lobster was fresh. Highly recommend!

I had an incredible dining experience at this Italian gem in Philadelphia! Situated conveniently near the convention center and hotels, its prime location made it easily accessible. The food was exceptional, from delectable dishes to refreshing drinks and mouthwatering desserts. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. The decor was tasteful and inviting, enhancing the dining experience. I highly recommend trying their salmon—it was cooked to perfection. And don't forget to indulge in their heavenly crème brûlée. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in the area!

Cool place. We say outside which was nice and peaceful. Great service knowledge staff. We ordered spicy margaritas, meatballs, tuna tartare, and bread. All were great. Small tuna portion tho. Good fresh herbs . I got the shrimp and scallops and couldn't finish it all. We got cucumber and the beets for sides, both great.

We recently had an average to good experience at Talula's Garden not good enough to come rushing back however. Let's start with the atmosphere. It's wonderful. The inside is beautiful but if you can try to sit outside. It's quaint and peaceful sitting in the side garden or on the sidewalk. The service. Exceptional. Our waitress was wonderful. Very nice with a Southern accent she knew the menu inside and out and was very attentive to our needs all evening. Zero complaints there. The food. It was good. The salmon was very delicious and the kale chips were also very good but the couscous was pretty bad. It had a heavy coating of something maybe butter that overwhelmed the dish and made it inedible for my friend. The lamb pasta was good but again the amount of lamb ragu that you would expect to get based on the description and price was very underwhelming. The pasta was cooked nicely and the taste was very good. For the portion was solid but again there should have been more lamb present. The blueberry dessert with buttermilk ice cream was exceptional. The crispy potatoes side was underwhelming. I guess I was expecting something fancier than a bunch of smashed and fried potatoes in a bowl? The portion was large for the price I'll give them that it's enough for two or even three people to split but again it's something that could be made at home. Overall I enjoyed the meal but I wouldn't be in a rush to go back. It is one of the better places to eat outdoors in the city however.

Yet another strong showing from one of the Starr Restaurants. Starting with the service, very attentive and professional. You can tell that they don't skimp on their workforce, there's enough well-trained staff on the floor that the guests are truly taken cared of. The drink was well made (we asked for the Pilot but with gin and not too sweet, and they adjusted nicely). The appetizer was ricotta ravioli with some pickled vegetables, which may sound slightly unusual for me but they pulled it off well. We had 2 entrees. First the roasted chicken with crispy skin, perfectly done, not oily at all, it felt like eating a full fledged fried chicken but without most of the sins. Second was the Pennsylvania short rib, also very nice and smoky flavor. Dessert was the Key Lime souffle + Graham ice cream, beautiful combination of tangy & slightly sweet. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. Of note, a friend of mine was telling me to try the cheese plate appetizer next time.

Wow the food here is absolutely fabulous! The attention to detail of how each of the ingredient is being used yields the most delicious and flavorful plate. The toast was perfectly crispy. The avocado toast is really delicious with slices of radish and lots of pistachios on top and just the right amount of acidity from lemon juice. We got the eggs Benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached. The potatoes are the best breakfast potatoes we have ever had. They were crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked in the inside, tender and not too dry. We also got the chicken and waffles which were delicious. The chocolate croissants were incredible. The local scramble with bacon was delicious! The food here is tasty! We are looking forward to coming back here again. The outdoor seating and garden is also very cute and a pretty place to enjoy.

Had dinner here in June 2023. The place is perfect. It has both inside and outside seating. Reservations recommended. The service is perfect. The food amazing and the ambiance just right for every occasion. I was very impressed but not surprised as I heard good things about it always. The help is exceptionally good and very attentive. Must visit if you are in Philly.

Awesome customer service. Amazingly crafted food, very farm fresh and delicious. The drinks are also tasty and well curated. We ordered the roasted chicken and gnocchi, crispy branzino, the black angus steak strips, and the crispy fried and smashed potatoes. So well seasoned and delicious pairing of flavors. We were stuffed and totally satisfied. 10/10 experience! I’m coming back asap.

The food was really good. The menu changes every month. Nothing was disappointing. Everything was very flavorful and they were bold flavors. This is a great place for romantic dates and it is a bit pricey but it’s not too bad. The price is worth it for the food you’re getting. I would come again.

A wonderful place to spend a late-spring/early-summer evening for a great meal and conversation, especially if you sit at the courtyard. Very nice-looking and good food! Attentive service. Iconic of Philly and a lovely place. Note that I reserved the table a week in advance. In that, they double-checked my reservation a couple of days ahead of time.

Came here with a reservation for an after graduation celebration. Food was excellent whereas the service was mediocre. The atmosphere here is amazing with high ceiling and beautiful outdoor seating. To start the hush puppies came out and they were fantastic. The old bay really brought the dish together. The steak (sous-vide) was also a hit. It was super tender and soft. The die of potatoes was huge! I loved them as well. A super unique take on a potato side dish. Scallop and shrimp risotto was cooked fantastically. So much flavor. Ramp soup was also great. And the meatballs were amazing, some of the best my table has had. Unfortunately the live pate was not great. Lacked flavor. I’m taking a star off because of the service. It was a busy weekend, but this is just my experience. We had a reservation at 6, and came in on time, but we still had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated while there was open tables. No one likes standing around waiting for a table to be ready. Especially when the restaurant is packed and people and constantly walking by you. It wasn’t till a host asked us again for our name on the reservation that we got seated.

Came here for brunch and it was absolutely delicious. Everyone has raved about this place, so I’m glad I finally had the opportunity to experience it for myself, and I will definitely return for dinner. Had the shrimp and grits and ricotta pancakes (the winner of brunch!) and the fresh juice. I’m told the local breakfast and BLT were also amazing. Didn’t realize how busy they get on Sunday’s, so I’ll give the servers some grace. I loved the interior—the high ceilings and the farm-style decor. Will definitely return!

Easily the best meal I have had in Philly. I have been back 3 times in 6 weeks, and each meal is exquisite. Get the cheese plate to start, it is magical. The chicken and gnocchi is the best chicken dish I have had in at least 10 years. The steak is great, the pork belly is cooked to perfection. I can't wait for my next visit in a couple of weeks.
