Great experience! A wee bit expensive for the shorter ride. It was €8 per person including kids when we went. The ride is about 25 mins from the port to the main town. But I would say, if visiting either area for the day, this should be done. It’s just a scenic beautiful experience and a convenient way to get from point A to point B and back again.

We visited here as part of a trip organised by tui arrived by boat then travelled by tram to the village and took the train through the mountains towards palma. highly recommended don't even have to be a old train enthusiast to enjoy the experience

Best is to book tickets few days in advance as this is very popular attraction. If you buy tickets online you still need to go to the ticket office to receive tickets. There is a designated queue to collect online tickets. For additional cost you can buy journey to port du Sóller and that place is absolutely amazing.

Loved the ride through Soller to the port. Sometimes the trams was really full, but since we didn't catch the first one right off the train from Palma, there was more room on the next ones. Coming back was really crowed. And we had to stand. But that wasn't a problem since the ride is not too long. The timetables were a bit confusing, but I guess since there were lots of people the tram ran non stop and was easy to catch this way. Loved it!

Lovely. The wooden train is so cool. My sons love the whole experience. We also got the tram experience to the harbour, highly recommended. Price is a bit high, but, it worth it in my opion.

The trip in itself isn't much to write about. The tram line is either going behind high walls or next to a quite busy roadway. The destination on the other hand is wonderful. The waiting line to get on is long, you might have to stand the whole way if you are not fast enough to grab a seat

A beautiful ride through the mountains and about 9 tunnels. It's not cheap but quit an experience. Once in Soller you have to take a tramride to the beach/harbour.(inclusive in the ticket as it is operated by the same company). Ride +visit will take a least half a day.

While it's definitely a tourist trap and overly expensive, it's still a fun ride from Palma to Soller. Plenty of seats. Due to covid the trains only run once a day and return in late afternoon. Still a fun thing to do.

Well worth getting this tram if you have completed the train trip from Palma.. this smaller tram is a nice experience and brings you to a beautiful port village (about 15 minutes).. I'd recommend getting off at the second last stop (the first sea view stop) its a short and pleasant walk towards the last stop, plenty of nice places to eat and even a small beach to dip your toes. Once at the last stop that's about it for the village. There seems to be nice treks and trails but we were just on a day trip so didn't go further. Its nice to be at the last stop (first stop for the return journey) to guarantee a seat for the return trip back to the beautiful soller.

I only did a quick walkthrough of this beautiful village Note the streets are skinny and pretty curvy I'm not sure if it's all one way traffic but there were a lot of motorcycles which I'm guessing would be a lot easier to drive Everyone I met were super friendly and very helpful getting me back on track when I got myself turned around like I'm known to do - the extra large circle I did to get to the church where you grab the tram showed me so much more than if I had just walked straight there! One thing I found and I wish I would have had more time to explore was the botanical garden...next time 💯

Fabulous train ride through the Tramuntana mountains to Soller. Stunning vistas and teasing views of valleys and villages in-between tunnels. Recommend this trip.

Nice castle with exhibits throughout. The castle is located just outside of Palma on top of a hill. We caught the bus from city centre which brought us to the bottom of the hill. The bus going back is also just as easy. It is a bit of a hike up the hillside but nothing drastic. But if you struggle with steps and climbing then it could be problematic. Once you get to the top, just stroll around and enjoy the architecture, the views and the history. The price was €4 which I found to be very reasonable. Just keep in mind that because Palma is absolutely saturated with tourists that the buses can get very very full and you may need to wait for 1 or 2 buses.

Great view of the Palma from the top of the castle. On the first floor is a gallery explaining the history of Palma. Cost 4€ at the ticket office - it is a bit of a walk from the entrance of the castle. We took the bus to get to the neighborhood and hiked to a bunch of stairs to get here. Straight forward path but slightly brutal if you go during summer in the early afternoon when the sun is hottest.

A pleasant walk from the bottom of the hill, and a nice city view alongside the steps, The view is just mesmerizing towards the cathedral and city ports. This castle is one of the nice architecture, I loved it surely you will love it. When you go on top of the castle, you will fall in love with the place you are standing and staring at.

The little hike up to the castle is short and surrounded by nature (even though you're so close to the city). Once reached the outside of the castle you have great views of the Palma's landscape. At the time of this review I didn't have to pay for a ticket. Once inside, you have 3 floors, all converging towards the inner courtyard with rooms all around. Must go: the rooftop from which you can admire the beautiful surroundings!

The entry price is incredible for the amount of information there. €4 each got us full access to the castle and the grounds. There's a history museum there too and told us all we needed to know about the island. The view of Palma is worth it for the climb alone. It's not too bad a climb, with a shallow winding road climb or steps if you want a more direct route. Highly recommend

Well-preserved castle of the XIV century. The location is located on the highest hill in the Palma area, so the view from it opens simultaneously on Palma and the forests that are located to the west of the capital of the island. For unprepared people, I warn you that in order to climb the castle you will have to climb several hundred steps, be prepared) In the castle itself you can see the Mallorca Museum (which briefly describes the history from the founding of the city by the Romans until the 20th century.) The museum has many beautiful statues (such as the statue of Venus and the statue of Gaius Julius Caesar. And for lovers of Greek mythology, there are also many statues of gods and mythological characters) There are also a huge number of models of what Palma looked like at one time or another, which also cannot be overlooked. For those who want to drive to the castle by car, I advise you not to rush to immediately go up to the castle, but to go down just below the entrance to the castle, in order to see magnificent views of Palma (similar views can be seen at the top of the castle).

What an interesting castle. It's round shaped with a courtyard. When we went, on a Sunday, it was free. Not sure why. There are some renovations going on. Inside the castle is an exhibit on the history of Palma. When you climb the top you have magnificent views of the city and harbor. Definitely recommend visiting. Can drive and park at top or take a taxi.

Beautiful view, but bad beach. Super crowded and tiny sandy area. If you want, go there to snap a photo. Know that there are much better beaches that are way less crowded just up the road. If you go for a swim keep an eye out for jelly fish.

Location: Amazing place from Mallorca, you shouldn’t skip if you would like to feel the vibe of an exotic beach and great snorkeling experience! Really small beach, almost no beach, but amazing caves-see the pictures🤍! Accessibility: The way to the beach was part of the experience we had, like a short hiking using our water shoes. We went on September and arrived at 10am, not that much struggle finding a parking place at this time. Also, not really 20 minutes of difficult path, the adventurous path on the hill going down to the beach is not more 3 minutes. The rest we did as a circuit going first from the southern part from the street. Ps: my best experience on southern-east + north of Mallorca, tried different Cala’s and beaches here!

Extremely crowded place but great views and nice, clear water. The road towards the beach pretty rough and you should have some beverages and food because nothing is available at the base of the beach. We went there two days in a row, at 16 PM at 10 AM. Both times the plase was overcrowded and there ware towels on top of towels.

Beautiful beach! Parking situation is difficult, recommend early (before 9am) to park at Cala Llombath and walk from there 15min. Parking in side streets leads to tickets. The beach is small and quickly crowded, before a nice photo you have to be there earlie, in the main season before 10 o'clock.

Stunning beach with clear, clam waters. Arrive before 10am to get a spot it gets crazy busy! The walk is possible in sandals but just take it slowly. Bring food and water etc as no where to buy anything however, I would not spend longer than a few hours here as it is very crowded and it is just full of people taking photos of themselves. Definitely worth a visit and a swim though!

Truly amazingly views and beautiful turquoise waters. It is a hike down some steep steps to the first cove and then we walked around to Moro following the path. The trek down to the actual beach is tricky and a scramble with one up/one down trekking (although plenty of people of all ages do it) however the beach area is tiny and so unless you go very early, there is no hope of finding somewhere to lay down. We were there in May and it was busy (- July and August - forget it!). However the views are spectacular and it’s very picturesque so definitely worth a visit if you can get there. We parked in the main car park and walked down (15-20min walk) however there was lots of other places we could’ve parked closer by. It really depends on the season as to how busy it is. Both coves are small so space is at a premium. Remember to take water/small snacks with you as there are no food/drink vendors there - purely a beach/cove (didn’t matter to us but just so people are aware).

There are two sides to Caló del Moro. On one hand, the beach is beautiful, the water is clear and it’s just stunning. However, already at 9.30 the beach is packed! Almost no chance to find a good spot or to relax properly. Check it out once, enjoy the view, go for a swim and go somewhere else to relax after that.

This is an absolute MUST if you visit Mallorca. The best beach I’ve been to in Europe, beautifully hidden in between cliff tops where you need to hike for a good 15 minutes to get to (suggest wearing trainers until you get there and don’t do it if not physically fit). Absolutely recommend it, such a dreamy place. The collection is amazing. Note: if you're taking the bus, I strongly do not recommend taking the 4, as otherwise you'd need to climb the stairs to hell (the sightseeing is gorgeous tho)

Beautiful museum by Rafael Moneo--the interiors are stunning and beautifully complements the art, from the dappled light through the stone to the way spaces blend and interweave. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Palma. The Sert studio is lovely as well. make sure to go around and check out the yard to get a better look at the roof and the interior mezzanine. the site offers beautiful views of the city. the gardens and bathrooms could be better maintained.

I’m not a fan of his art but this exposition is definitely worth a visit. The architecture is stunning. Would plan at least one hour for the visit. They are cashless. Ticket is 9 eur. Free parking lot across the street from the entrance.

It’s worth the visit for sure, you can see his workshops where he used to paint and create, they are also full of his pieces. The expo is also great. The architecture, composition is amazing. Cool garden with amazing views.

I loved it. The studios are wonderful. It was amazing to visit the place where Miró created some of his art. I think it is free on saturday afternoons after 15.00 (3pm) .

Well worth a visit. Beautiful building houses the gallery and it is full of interesting pieces. Not just the Miro Picasso and Dali, many current Spanish artists. It’s free to go in which makes it an easy decision. The wooden sculpture pictured is a lovely re-imagining of Matisse’s cut outs by Manuel Valdes.

Very interesting visit to see Joan Miró's working atelier, as well a collection of his works including paintings, drawings, sculptures. Parking spaces are available just opposite the street of the museum. Entry: 9€ for adults. Children under 16 have a free entry.

Beautiful spaces designed by Pritzker Architect Rafael Moneo. The old studios of Sert and Son Boted are amazing too :)

Having a meal at a Michelin Star restaurant is a rare experience and Marc Fosh sets a standard that you cannot forget. The flavors are a fascinating and an unexpected mix that are complimented by colors and presentation that I personally have not experienced anywhere else. The service and attentiveness made my entire family feel welcome and at ease. We soaked up the atmosphere, enjoying everything from the decorations to the temperature. It was the perfect foodie experience. My family and I will never forget our meal at Marc Fosh and we hope to someday return and experience it again. I wish to thank the entire Marc Fosh team for making this experience something my family will hold dear to our hearts.

Wonderful service, amazing food. Restaurant exceedingly clean, well decorated and bathed in natural light. Not cheap but you get what you pay for and this meal would have cost at least four times as much in London

Stunning restaurant, every course of the menu somehow improved upon the prior, and we were even offered a “surprise” dish. As a vegetarian, I appreciated their vegetarian menu and close attention towards accommodating me. Dessert was SO good.

We were celebrating our anniversary and my husband’s birthday. Everything about the restaurant, food, service and atmosphere was spot on. We throughly enjoyed our evening.

Great fine dining. Period. Almost hidden in a less crowded street, this very nice restaurant offers a real gourmet experience. The Michelin-Award is well deserved. We‘ve been there for lunch and expected some rather „light“ haute cuisine. But (fortunately) we were so wrong. We had 10 great courses for a really low price. A dream for any foodie. The accompanying wine was well chosen. In all, the staff was great. So a very strong recommendation from my side. But lunch takes some time: 2,5 hours went by quite fast. A special thank you to the entire team - they made the birthday of my friend very special. Thank you Marc Fosh & Team. We will come back. I’m pretty sure.

Our favorite meal from the week in Spain. The dishes were well thought out, and just complex enough. Marc Fosh himself walks around to make casual conversation with every guest. Our waitress, was one of the best I’ve ever had. Book this, you won’t regret it!

It’s the second time I visit here , last time was lunch and the taste was amazing ! That’s why this time I am back for dinner menu ! The service is very calm and distance this time , which is ok , but the meal this time is really more conservative and blend , no surprisingly combination of flavor A bit pity this time , but I think next time visiting Mallorca I will still give it a try cause I am sure they will make it better !!

Overall very good Restaurant. Food: Good Belgian food with good meat and tasty sides. We loved the Steak Tartar. Good wines and Belgian beer, too. Service: Very friendly and fast service. Ambiente: Modern sleek design, we really enjoyed our stay. Price: Not the cheapest but considering the quality a good pick in Palma. Conclusion: We very enjoyed our stay and the good food. Amazing place to come for seafood. The place is always packed and you need to book well in advance if you want to have dinner here, but the seafood is as fresh as it gets. You walk in and the first thing you do is pick your food, The guy will give you a portion based on your group and he is spot on. You might feel a bit overwhelmed and fear the price tag but the price vs quality is very good. The staff are also friendly. Only thing to point out is the coordination between staff, as it gets busier, it can be difficult to grab their attention or even get the bill at the end of the night. But other than that, the food and experience is great. Highly recommend.

Fast service, freshest seafood and all-in-all best seafood restaurant on the island! Easy parking just 3-5 minutes away from the restaurant. The service is friendly and quick. Fantastic price-to-quality ratio. Yet, it’s usually busy, so it’s best to arrive late (with no reservation) or book in advance. Really hard to find a better alternative around.

Amazing restaurant. Way better than the ‘high end’ touristy traps. No frills, amazing seafood for really great prices! Get to go up and choose your fish, with really helpful and kind staff.

Really hard to rate this. The idea is fantastic, pick your fresh fish from the counter they weigh it and cook it. So scallops and baby squids were amazing. Off to a great start. Then the main fish course arrives and it’s not great to be honest. I had built up my expectations too much maybe. In fairness to the management they scratched the fish from the bill but did insist it was fine which I find irritating and to be honest I’d rather pay and leave. Worth another go. A little work on hospitality at the fish counter might help too. Positives - genuinely great value. Negatives - surely the days of thinking Northern Europeans know nothing about good fish or indeed food are long gone.

Restaurante La Parada del Mar left us speechless with their incredible dining experience. We opted for the sampler menu and were blown away by the generous portions and unbeatable value for the price. The variety of dishes presented in the sampler menu allowed us to indulge in a wide array of flavors and culinary creations. From start to finish, our visit was nothing short of a wonderful and unforgettable dining experience.

Pulpo is nice, grilled mussels is very nice. But salad is too plain, with only olive oil or balsamic vinegar available without any cheese offered. It would be better if they can give recommendation of their nice dishes, especially for first time tourists.

What a great experience!! When you arrive you select the seafood and sides you would like from the fishmonger. Then you sit back whilst they cook them and bring them to your table. Only negative is that I couldn't finish the large portion they provided for 1 person - tried my best though, lol! The oysters were utterly delicious - I may go back just for them!

No frills, seafood place with busy fast food atmosphere. Cooking (fish was overcooked), ordering (staff rushed us to take the choice without giving recommendations) and price were way below our expectations given the reviews. Would rather spend a little more to have a relaxing and enjoyable dinner.

At the beginning I was confused because I didn't know what should I order haha there were so many raw seafood and fish. We ended up ordering prawns and salads. It was super good. I also like so much Spanish beer. For me it's better than German beer haha

Absolutely loved it. It was a Monday night and the place was buzzing. I booked online and I'm glad I did. There were queues to get in (on a Monday, out of season). We were seated straight away and the service really was excellent. Beer, Vermouth and a magical selection of food. I have eaten in many places in Palma but this one really tops the bill for me. It is exactly what I am looking for in Mallorca. Right up my street. And, you can see that the prices were very reasonable indeed. My new favourite place to eat. I'm a regular in Palma and this is going to be my new local.

If you are looking for a nice place to enjoy some tapas and beers, I recommend Bar España! The employees are all super kind, the food is really good and the atmosphere is also very nice! We went on a Tuesday evening around 22:00 and we didn't have to wait too long. We were really happy to go there and will probably come back soon!

We went as a couple without a reservation for dinner on a Saturday and were seated immediately. However, at 7 pm we were quite early by Spanish standards. The staff was very warm, attentive and courteous. The food was really delicious. We had several tapas and all were a delight. Also, the prices for all the dishes were really reasonable. I can really recommend a visit!

We ordered 7 dishes where 2 of them were ok. Prawns and Buratta. Rest of them were very salty. Octopus was so chewing. Dishes were looking good but nothing else. Defo not worth its prices and waiting in thw queue.

A lovely rustic atmosphere, with great service. A wonderful menu with the tastiest and best value tapas we’ve had in Mallorca so far. The different dishes came out in a staggered order which I liked. Overall it was an excellent experience and we will definitely return.

Slight wait at the entrance - the staff need time to make space available. Only ordered the bar food, which was amazing! Just grab a plate and line up to point 👉 at which ones you want. Loved the tuna one. 2.3€ each

Food and drinks are super cheap & tasty. The Sangria was around 2.80 euros!! Some of the most delicious tapas we’ve had in Europe. Highly recommend all around!

Really amazing find ! Great tapas in the center of town. The food was lovely, so many options were available of which many were vegetarian or even vegan. We came here around 13:30 as a group of 11 and the staff was so nice and accommodating and managed to make space for all of us. The service was great, the best I’ve had in a while with very helpful and kind servers. Our food arrived very quick, was excellent and the prices very reasonable. The sangria was around 2/3€. I definitely recommend to anyone visiting Palma and will be coming again if I get the opportunity!

Amazing and friendly tapas bar, if you came as solo or couple, they will always find the seats for you, at least next to the bar. Everything is tasty, sometime it takes longer to have hot tapas. Price is also quite affordable. I defintely recommand this bar.

Amazing restaurant/bar for tapas. There are no tables outside, but only in 2 rooms inside: one room is the bar, while the other room is just tables. There are many tapas options on the menu, but apart from what's on the menu you can go to the bar with an empty plate and have whatever pintxos you see there and like. We tried all the pintxos based on fish and they were all amazing! The sangria was also very nice. The staff were very kind and ready to explain all the different flavors that we wanted to try. Congratulations!

Yeah. Good bar for tapas and drinks. Looks like it is also popular, so it is better to book a slot ;) I really liked Sangria here. It is very special and refreshing. But also prices are very pleasant. Food is delicious and cute ;) like that mini burger. Awww

Went here because it was highly raved about my friends who had been. Was my first visit, but the person I was with had been before. It was a nice clean restaurant with a very quiet chill vibe. The dishes were presented well, with good flavour and the options looked appealing and some different from the ordinary. In other reviews, comment a lot about the prices of the dishes, it can seem a lot but I am sure they are doing their best to provide fresh ingredients for their dishes. The location is just out of the main Santa Catalina area on a main road , which is fine for a short walk back into the hustle and bustle. It's probably for cheaper rent if they rent! The waiters were friendly and accommodating. If you're looking to taste fresh sushi and other Japanese food while in Palma it's worth it. I think there is room for improvement, but it was also a Sunday and maybe a different evening would have a different chef preparing! I would return. Thank you

The food is great, we went twice. The atmosphere and design are very nice and elegant. The service was quick, but not sure why one of the staff on our second visit was laughing and said sarcastically “WOW, is this the second one” while we were eating and enjoying our sushi. Well in the UK, it is rude to treat customers this way, may be it is cultural difference and he did not mean it. Highly recommend eating and enjoying their sushi.

This is one of my preferred places for dinner in Mallorca. Food is amazing, very very tasty. Probably, one of my top3 Japanese restaurants outside Japan. Quality is top notch and people attending are really kind. If you go frequently, they will remember you and your preferences. They make you feel at home. Make sure to do a reservation if you're planning to visit because the place is not that big and can fill up fast. About menu itself, everything is great, but I miss about having some ramen options. If you like Japanese food, come to this place and enjoy the full experience. If unsure about what to eat, let them select dishes for you. You won't be disappointed.

Delicious food with that little extra. Beautiful and colourful. The desserts are to die for. All in all a very good little restaurant.

Food is absurdly expensive for what it is, some of the dishes were ok such as the toro usuzukuri but 37 euros? definitely not worth the price. Been to many Japanese restaurants in my life but this one was definitely not worth it. 16 euros for takoyaki that tastes like frozen and reheated. 25 euros for rolls that tasted bland, mostly the same and very sweet. Service is friendly but the waiter that took our order was pushy.

Best nigiri ever 11/10 ( we ordered salmon and toro tuna ) everything was just perfect, a must try if you're into Japanese food
