I’ve had the privilege of visiting while it was under construction and the history of that place and its ornate design blew me away! So beautiful and irreplaceable.

I visited the Library of Parliament on the Parliament Hill many times over the years. Every time I go there, I am impressed by the historical significance of the buildings. The area is under heavy construction now, for it will not be accessible for many more years, unfortunately.

The Library of Parliament (1876) in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, stands on a bluff overlooking the Ottawa River. French explorer Samuel de Champlain passed here in 1613.

Amazing experience, the place is vast so better pace yourself based on the period you are interested in, otherwise allocate a good 5 to 6 hours to cover everything in detail. An excellent cafeteria is also available with a treats menu appealing to both kids and adults. There are a few interactive exhibits as well as a lot of artifact's including an original copy of the "treaty of Versailles", a document crucial to the fomentation of the 2nd world war, Hitler's Mercedes amongst a few others. A great experience overall.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The cost for entry was very reasonable. The exhibits filled us with emotion for all our forefathers and their families had to go through. Provided us with the opportunity to remember why we get to live with the freedoms we do. The food in the cafeteria was delicious and there was a good choice variety of beverages. We did not visit the gift shop.

This place is MASSIVE! It's definitely an all-day affair if you want to see the whole thing. I imagine you'll learn something new every time you visit. It's also extremely high quality in the presentation, and almost everything was in working order (only one exhibit was out of order). So very worth it! 10/10, HIGHLY recommend!

Beautiful, dignified, and unique tribute to Canada's military past. Facilities and exhibits are very well maintained. The array of displayed equipment is impressive.

What a fantastic place to learn about Canada's role in past wars. The place was clean, interactive and had many interactive exhibits. The hall full of vehicles and Armour was cool as well! It's very large so make sure you wear comfy shoes!

This place is cool! Lots of war stuff! I highly recommend the lower level with the tanks, submarine, torpedoes, armored personnel carriers, motorcycles, cannons, guns and plane! The rest of the place is very well laid out, but has a LOT of text boards and not so many artifacts. Worth the trip!

Amazing experience. Great information regarding our War History. Very Interactive and fun way to explain. Absolutely loved their tanks, submarine, war ships collection. I would recommend buying tickets in advance to avoid any wait time. They also have Thursday night 5-7pm free of cost timed ticket. Must visit place!!!

Very Good , and huge area to visit. People should read little history of wars before coming to this museum, in order to make it more interesting. Well maintained museum. I believe that it require more than a day to fully enjoy this museum. But it depends on the taste/ interest of the person visiting

Loved this museum. I learned a lot. Part of our Canadian culture. Allow 2 to 3 hrs for a visit and great giftshop that includes souvenirs for all budgets. The best part are the tanks and other artillery located on the 1st floor. Kids friendly, and there's a café if you are hungry.

I love seeing modern art: not because I like modern art, but because I like to see what can get into an art gallery, and especially what extraordinary description some of these artists come up with. I present the highlights of this gallery: a photo of a paper bag. A white canvas, black lines, and a blue square! Only two colours on a canvas!! A white canvas, absolutely brilliant!!! A pair of pants picked up from the back alley. A wire running diagonally across a room, so insightful? There were deeper, reflective, and historically significant pieces elsewhere in the gallery, but those are boring. I give this a 14 out of 17 black lines, you should visit this gallery.

I would like to really recommend this place for people. First of all, you can look at the parliament building at good location. Secondly, this museum has a variety of art works. Especially,I really liked that this museum had a lot of paintings by famous artists, but not necessarily their most famous works. It made me realize that these artists had also created such paintings, and I really enjoyed being able to see their less well-known works.

No audio guide or main pieces recommended. I asked the guy and he was very helpful. For someone that doesn’t understand much about art and was mostly accompanying my mum, need an explained path to follow on the museum to enjoy it. Most galleries in Europe have this… the chapel is amazing tho, great chorus!!

Visited on Thursday afternoon after 5pm (the admission is free on this day and time). The museum has a great collection of art from many different periods of time. There are a lot of rotating exhibits as well. The small hall that offers drinks and snacks has a great view of Parliament Hill, and plays contemporary music as well. The seasonal drink was delicious 😋 would definitely come here again!

An art gallery is located in the Canada capital city of Ottawa. it is nearby the byward market area. I will suggest to purchase your ticket online so that you won't be needing to line up to do the purchase when you're there. If you're able to do so, check in your coat so you won't be needing to carry it around when you're enjoying the art in the gallery. it will take some time for you to check out the first and second floor so be prepared to spend about two to three hours inside the gallery. If you want to check out the shop before you leave, make sure you get to the entrance not too close to the closing time since the shop won't let anymore Shoppers in when is about to close the gallery.

Fun and very interesting place to visit. It's 60% filled with naked drawings, crazy right? I loved my short time there. If you are a student, you get a discount also, and it's just a 10-minute walk from the mall. I think if you come to Ottawa and want to go to the gallery, you should try this place first before others. Peace.

It has an incredible and very diverse collection, it tells the artistic history of Canada, in a very well curated way, with divisions by styles and provinces and artists. it also has on the top floor galleries with artists from Europe such as Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh, Munch. tip: for those who are students, just present the proof card that pays the half price.

Fairly well organized and there are plenty of great pieces of art, lots from Canadian history and a good number from Europe and the USA too. Not a fan of the modern art they have but that’s all subjective. It’s in a central location downtown and is a great spot for both locals and tourists.

Impressed by this place. Even if it’s looks as a not big from outside, that’s huge and massively inside. You can find Canadian and before-colonization artifacts and masterpieces, then enjoy modern vision with art of sound and video. You can find a General vision exhibition- look of 80s and alternative vision. Photo exhibition. Europe and Americas paintings and sculptures. Worth to spend 4+ hours of walk, and joy. P.s if you go on Thursdays, after 5 pm till 8 pm, free admission. Otherwise totally worth $20 per adult.

One of my favourites. Their classical collection is amazing (not posting the pics, but they have Gogh, Klimt, Monet among many more). I love checking out their seasonal collections too, always nice to learn about different movements. Thursday after 5 is free, I usually reserve it beforehand (can be done on the same day)

A must visit place when you're in Ottawa, quite difficult to find parking lot, amazing architect from the outside and you'll be impressed when you walk into. A lot of paintings. Has a gift shop with some nice stuffs. Clean restroom and great view of city hall, church....

This gallery contains a diverse and impressive display of art. Definitely worth a visit if in the Ottawa area, and I would recommend prioritizing a visit here to any tourists. It has art from all over, not just Canadian art, and has pieces from many different time periods. I went on a Monday, and it wasn't crowded at all.

This place is so huge, with so many things to explore that you can easily spend 4 hours there or more. clean, beautiful, up to date. There are lots of interesting knowledge filled things to view and read about. Terrific place for kids: there are interactive stations everywhere... not just computers, but also a binocular station in the bird area, turtle viewers for jellyfish vs plastic bags, touching water creature station, real ice sculpture to walk through and touch. The staff are so approachable and so helpful. They actually like to help and do so with a smile. To add to its many amazing features, its also free every Thursday after 5. Memberships are available and a good deal if you plan to come at least 3 times in the year but keep in mind that will not include parking fees.also you may receive a discount if you're an ingenium pass holder. I will definitely recommend visiting it.

I had never been to a museum before and I'm so glad this was my first opportunity. This is the best place and it's packed full of information. I loved all the displays and my most favourite was the mammals. They have a breastfeeding room complete with a changing station. It's very hard to find that now a days, the staff are very knowledgeable and super friendly. Thank you!!!

The Museum of Nature is an incredible place to explore and learn about the natural world. The exhibits are well-designed and informative, with interactive displays that engage visitors of all ages. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Museum of Nature for anyone interested in science or nature. This is by far the coolest museum in Ottawa. Probably should have gone during the week, as the place was packed. Doesn't matter though, it was still such an incredible place. Spent over 3 hours wandering the exhibits and was happy to see some of them from childhood are still there! The building itself is worth the price of admission and take the time to check out the displays on the history of the building at each level of the great lantern.

Wow, what an amazing building, the architecture of the place is stunning. We came back at night to take some night photos. The good: The price was reasonable for an attraction that realistically would take you an entire day to really take in. The exhibits were interesting and unique. We really enjoyed the Arctic exhibit with the ice presentation that you could interact with. The Owls exhibit was amazing too. We enjoyed everything we looked at. The bad: Some exhibits had pieces out of order. Their beverage selection in the cafe was meh. We parked at the public parking at the police station area behind the museum as it was the cheapest option.

We are huge fans of this place! We visit it every year and every time we find something that we haven’t noticed before. The territory is huge, with so many things to explore that you can easily spend 2-3 hours there. With the start of the pandemic some activities are closed, but it is still very entertaining for kids. It’s nice that it is free every Thursday after 5. I will definitely recommend visiting it!

Visiting the Canadian Museum of Nature has been one of my best experiences yet. The museum has four floors. Each floor has 2 sections facing each other. The first floor has the skeleton of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals. The second floor shows aquatic life. Other floors show the birds, mammals, and the early man. There are live creatures, animations and 3D displays which make the exhibits look so real. The videos, photos, and descriptions at the base of each exhibit provides an enjoyable learning experience. I also visited the Planet ice exhibition where I learnt about the way of life of the Inuit. It is so important to know the role of ice and indeed other elements in maintaining the ecosystem so that we can do our bit to stop climate change. Don't forget to visit the cafe on the first floor. You can grab something to eat, and also shop for mementos: clothing, mugs, toys, jewellery, games and notebooks! I will certainly visit again with my children.

Very cool expositions although since I came there 1 hour 30 minutes before closing, I did not have time to see all. There is a lot of kids there and a lot of it is made for them to understand. If you don't like children, you might be annoyed. The building itself is amazing and there is information about its history and architecture. It's definitely worth the price of the tickets.

I took my family here and everyone loved it. They don't have too many interactive displays for younger kids, so my 3 year old got a little bored. The dinosaurs and animals were his favourite parts of the museum. My 9 year old loved every part of it. My husband and I as well. Great museum!

With 5 floors of galleries there are a lot of things to investigate. If you want to do everything you’ll need time. We spent 3 hrs and still didn’t get to 2 floors. They have a good mix of visual and audio information. Only some hands on learning, which we prefer - some galleries have none and others are much better. Overall, it’s what you expect of a museum. Lots of walking, reading, and learning. The info they provide is easy to understand and you can go in depth more if you want. For some things we were already knowledgeable in we wish they shared different information, helped bust myths, or gave more general info to help people understand. We enjoyed the dinos the best as the visual really helps understand scale. Wish they had talked more about all the changes that have been made to our Dino understanding in the last 20 years (between when we were in school and now).

Awesome place! Kept the history of flights in order to show the evolution. Most amazing part was the space section. Not very kid worthy though. But still if your kid likes plane or space this is a place you can go and enjoy.

A must visit for any Airplane fan. Spare 2 to 3 hours for your visit. Check their website for a free hour entry at end of certain days. Apart from the displays, you can also buy and experience real airplane & helicopter flights! From the oldest flying balloon to fighter jets & drones, there are many different planes on display. Many air plane engines, landing gear & other mechanicals are also on display. Space section is also very knowledgeable. You can see what astronauts eat & feel how heavy your hand feels in space. Location is also nice and reachable without hitting traffic. Parking is paid but cheap & plenty. And lastly the souvenoir shop will excite the kids like no other as it has plenty of planes to choose from. Overall, very nice experience.

They also offer a plane and helicopter ride (you have to pay extra for it)

This I geeked out over..was an awesome experience..so much to see..was in awe of all the planes.. information on them all...was a spectacular day. There is a room where you can sit and watch earth photos from space 🤩.so much to learn.

Very nice exhibits of planes and the space section is interesting!! Some of the interactive displays are still closed due to covid. They offer biplane ride for 40$ and everyday 4 to 5pm, the admission is free. You have to pre book the time slot even if it is free admission.The parking fee is 3$ for an hour and 8$ for full day. I think the parking revenue is there to support kids programming in the museum. Nice place to visit if you really love planes!!!

Love going to the Aviation museum. This was our first visit with our 3yr old. Very kid friendly - has a small cafe with food and tables, bathroom with changing table, lots of space for Strollers and there were Strollers to lend. Exhibits very well done - description signs are updated and very nice; includes aviation art of various artists including Canadians. Easy to read info. A few exhibits you can sit in. Some interactive information walls that are too advanced for little one - better for older kids and adults. They have a huge section with wooden plan tricycles - this was fantastic. Also a back observation area where you can see the runway and planes taking off and landing. Parking on site, not free. Must do!

Visited the museum during March Break, my kids LOVED it. Unfortunately, a lot of the interactive activities were still closed due to Covid, but there were a few activities to keep them entertained, including, ride-on-top airplanes, sitting in a cockpit, and an interactive video where you learn to fly a plane using your body. The section on space was particularly enjoyable. The museum was clean and hand sanitizers were located throughout. Washrooms were easily accessible. There is even an opportunity to take a flight on a Cessna at an additional cost - capacity is three people per flight and you can tour Ottawa and Parliament Hill - I would consider this for a future visit. There was no food available on-site.

A nice museum with an easy to navigate layout. Airplanes from 1909 to present, along with jets and helicopters. Nice quick summaries for eac plane. Includes Canadian, German, and other nationalities. Also a small section on space travel. Can easily use the hop on and hop off tour bus to visit along with other sites.

Parking was a pain cause the meters were covered up so we all had to do it on the app. What if I had no phone? Or data? Museum was so neat! Love the history and loved the collection of plane from the first one to the fighter jets of today. It's so incredible how much aviation has come. The space area was very well put together. I learned a lot! The picnic area was so nice. Although not enough garbages outside. And more hand sanitizers around near where it's high touch.

Great for what it was. Reasonably priced. Not the largest aviation museum, but had a lot of great insight into the contributions Canada has made to aviation. They had a great kids program about mail delivery that was bilingual. They offer several options for aerial tours of the capital to include biplane rides starting at $95/person for 15-20 min.

Amazing restaurant, great ambiance, the staff was very friendly. The plates were absolutely amazing and flavorful. The soup was creamy and perfectly balanced with the cheese. Ñoquis was a different than the traditional combination, exotic yet delicious. The salmon was amazing, perfectly cooked and crispy. The pork was juicy but a little unbalanced with the beet puree. 2 small plates per person are enough unless you are super hungry. This is a great place to have a food and unique experience. Make your reservations.

My new favorite restaurant in Ottawa. Its not only a meal, it's an experience. 5 dishes for two people is plenty. The scallops were my favorite dish. Try the duck too! The sauce in the gnocchi are sublime.

Amazing Valentines dinner experience with phenomenal service and tasty dishes. My absolute favourite was the gnocchi it was so flavourful and tender. The pork belly was very tasty, scallops were great, both cocktails were delicious. I suppose they change up the way the ingredients were cooked because our scallops seemed like a sashimi version and I notice the previous reviews gnocchi had popcorn? Haha We asked about the taste of the fig cocktail because we didn’t want a strong alcohol taste and they fixed us up with a version that was mild! The cheese board was fun and soup was creamy! 10/10

The food here is incredible and the wine pairings were spot on. I had the gnocchi, mushroom croquettes and my wife had the octopus and the scallops. With a couple apps as well, we left feeling very content. Will definitely be back for other special occasions. The one small critique I have is that the service can be a bit slow to start. We waited 10 minutes for our drinks and then another 15 before our server stopped by again to take our food order, so be prepared to really take your time. Again, still a great experience.

Amazing. No other words to describe it. Firstly, the service was outstanding. Waiter was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Made us feel at home! Their butter old fashioned was very very good. Can't say enough about the food. Caramelized butter was a nice touch with the sourdough bread. They serve "small plates" but two turned out to be filling. Scallops and gnocchi were amazing. No complaints. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Wow! Everything was excellent. When I say everything I mean everything. The addition of caramelized butter with the bread took even a simple sourdough bread to the next level. The food was amazing and the way that the dishes were brought out to compliment each other was incredible. The wine that was recommended for the mushroom croquettes paired perfectly. Of the four plates we had I would definitely recommend the gnocchi and mushroom croquettes. The flavours and textures were out of this world and they were truly the best dishes I have had so far in Ottawa. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at play and to top it off the service from Paul was excellent. What a great night out celebrating our anniversary.

A magical experience after such a long time of social distancing for our Dream Team! Jocelyne arranged every covid-safe detail along with an incredible dining experience upstairs for our private party. Everyone raved about the food, awesome servers and the ambiance. It couldn't have gone better, thank you PLAY!

I loved the option to share dishes. The dishes were staggered so as to allow you to finish one set before bringing the next. This gave the evening a very relaxed feel. Each dish was fabulous. The highlight for me was the relish that came with the charcuterie. It was so fresh and tasty and paired with the lamb sausage.

One word. Delicious. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I fell upon this restaurant in Ottawa but it definitely exceeded all my expectations. Every bite of the food we ate was amazing. It’s a small quaint restaurant and not too loud. We sat at the bar, the barmaid was very attentive and kind. My favourites were the ribs (must have) and the gnocchi! 100% recommend.

We went for dinner on June 30th to celebrate my daughter's high school graduation and my birthday. This building is very unique and shows the charm of history. Cocktails (non-alcoholic) and desserts are great, and the combination and decoration of the dishes are full of French romance , it looks so pretty and delightful .But unfortunately the steak tartar and vegetables in flat scallops were unbelievable salty. So it definitely wasn’t a perfect experience

Dinner here 2 days was absolutely fantastic. We ordered cold smoked shrimp, grilled octopus, smoke cylindra beet steak and biscuits. All items were fresh, with great taste and excellent presentation. The beet steak was divine! Biscuits were the best I have ever had in a restaurant. We will definitely return to Beckta. Thanks Justin for great service!

We had a fabulous dinner at Beckta! Everything from the greeting to putting on our coats was seamless And provided an amazing experience. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming and seated us at a great table with view of city hall. We were warmly greeted by Justin and we decided to do the tasting menu with wine pairings. The service was impeccable and was nice to see a restaurant conducting proper table service. Justin explained every dish and every wine like he made them himself, he knew every detail and was confident on every answer to our questions. Fantastic guy and even better server. The food was also exceptional. While not every dish was our taste, the creativity and love on the plate was apparent with every dish. 3/5 courses were incredible, 1 was decent, and 1 just wasn’t a meat we care for. The chefs clearly take a lot of pride in their work and it shows! Overall an amazing experience and we will be back. Thank you!

Great place for any occasion. Food has a great taste, music let you have great conversation with the family and our journey supported in this adventure (Natalie) was great and kind by adding a candy to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I can not wait for next encounter in October.

Sergio and Bill provided impeccable service ! They were friendly, polite, calm, informative and extremely descriptive ! The food was cooked well, the flavour combinations were mind blowing, the presentation was beautiful! The quality was great, well worth the cost !! Over all, incredible experience !!! My fiance and I went for our anniversary dinner and needless to say, it was definitely one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We chose the tasting menu and every item was delicious. The service was beyond exceptional and they even brought us a glass of champagne at the beginning to wish us happy anniversary. Strongly recommend for a special night out.

Came here for special occasion. We ordered 2 drinks. Was not very impressed by drinks frankly speaking. The ambiance is amazing, the staff is very kind and helpful. We ordered 3 dishes. The mushroom dish for starters and we asked the shef to replace the porc broth with some vegetarian option and he did a really good job on the dish we loved it. Had a chicken dish which was very ordinary, it didn't amaze me. The salmon was good. I know it was fine dine but I was really expecting more in terms of flavor. Was very satisfied with the ambiance and the service we got but for the price I paid for the food I was really expecting more.

Wait staff and atmosphere were 5/5 excellent, however we expected more from the food. The presentations were all awesome. The scallops were overcooked/rubbery, however the sauce was tasty. We wish that the horseradish would have been available on the side for the beef tartare as it overpowered the dish and it was hard to taste anything else. Additionally, another option other than salty chips as a vessel for the tartare would have been preferred as well. We ordered a medium sirloin that we had to send back as it came out rare. They were apologetic and the second rendition came out perfect. It was very yummy. The lamb shank looked impressive, however, the flavours fell flat for us and it was a bit of a drag to finish. The dessert really shined. I forget what it was called, but absolutely amazing. Thank you!

It is a fun place, food is Ok. More vegetarian options would help, especially cooked food, not just salads. It a great place to friends and family to gather and talk, it was not loud. The staff is friendly and cheerful. I will definitely come back.

Great location, right along the bike path! Definitely worth a trip. I had the original Mill St. beer, which was perfect for a mid-afternoon refreshment. I sat at the bar. The bartender was helpful in offering a couple of samples of other beers. He was friendly and attentive. The inside of the restaurant wasn't too busy on a Friday afternoon. I recommend the tacos , I ordered one pulled pork and one fish. I enjoyed both.

first time visiting this, unique and historic restaurant and brew pub. It's gorgeous on the outside, with multiple patio outdoor set ups. Situated right by the water it's visually stunning. As we entered, the aesthetics of the pub were awesome. From the stonewalls to the huge beer brewing canisters and with all of the different sections and hidden nooks, it is super nice. Everything was unique, bright, spacious with excellent air, quality and fantastic management of music volume and people chatter. We attended at 4:45 PM and the place was busy reflecting its popularity. We were immediately seated, and within minutes our very friendly server approached our table to take our order. We explained that we had further plans and would be meeting up with other people and was wondering what the wait time would be on ordering different types of food from their menu. Within two minutes we had narrowed down what would work within our schedule and happily placed our order. Our server was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and most importantly, the information she provided us was absolutely accurate. We had our food within 12 minutes and it was absolutely delicious. I believe that with effective communication with your server, it will change the outcome of your entire experience here. The food portions were very generous, the prices were reasonable, and we all agreed that we will definitely be visiting this place multiple times down the road. I highly recommend to families, corporate events, friends going out, and also an excellent location for a date. There is ample parking, and as I mentioned at the beginning of my review, the location was visually stunning. Make for some time to take a walk around the grounds, read the historic plaques and articles, mounted here and there, and really soak in the historical ambience. First time there and I loved it. Staff is friendly and helpful. We were able to get a spot outside. The view was pretty cool. Food is good. Only tried some shareables. Might come back to try something more elaborate. Prices are okay, I guess 😅 I recommend.

Edited.... So, my 2nd trip to Mill Street was like having a supernova light up a power outage. GM Amy and our server Cooper took care of our grossly large table from the second we walked in til we walked out the door. Food was top drawer again, and this time the service was outstanding and well and truly appreciated. Nachos were delicious, the elk burger was scrumptious, and the poutine as to die for. I tried 3 of their beers... The Belgian, the lager, and the 100th meridian (which I shamelessly purchased only for it's Hip reference). All delicious and recommended. Thanks, Mill Street! /Edit (Original) No room outside, gave us a crummy inner table when one with the river view was open... Then server took 15 minutes to come speak to us. Food was good, the everything else was a little annoying.

I had the fish and chips, probably the most reasonably priced item on the menu. The batter was perfect, it had that golden colour, and no hard brown parts. The fish was fluffy, and the batter was light, but somewhat oily. The French fries and coleslaw were perfect. Unfortunately I couldn't have any drinks, but I hear the beer 🍺 from those at the table was good. Great seat, and nice courtyard near the water.

Chicken mushroom pot pie and chicken cheddar club tasted amazing. Great presentation for the mains. Servers were friendly and professional. Nachos were the only item Sub par with being soggy and stale. Over all highly recommended. Great place to eat and drink.

Excellent selection of in house brewed beers, a wonderful burger with a generous helping of fries. Couldn't be a better pub meal.... and the service , Pete was 5🌟! I always try and visit the MillSt. brew pub when I am in town

Went Sunday for our Anniversary. There were a few things on the menu they were out of. Didn't matter as everything on the menu is good. I had a burger and my wife had the salmon. It was awesome. Great atmosphere and great food!

Great place for good time with friends or exploring some unheard 🍺. Food is not bad, but absolutely not the sole reason to come here. Free parking for such a prime location is nice , so spend it on extra drink.

We were at the Mill St. Brew Pub for a retirement party on the 2nd floor and had a great time. It's a wonderful old building and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was incredible! Many people raved about the chicken wings. The beef sliders were fantastic! There was something for everyone. Veggie trays, fruit trays, charcuterie boards. It was a wonderful experience.

A perfect weekend breakfast spot. We were seated outside on a beautiful day. Service was great and the food was incredible. Such large portions for a very reasonable price. I loved every dish we ordered. My personal favorite is the eggs Florentine and it was perfect for my taste. Also enjoyed the milkshake!

Great location. Good options for vegans. (Note that while they have vegan vegetarian options, they state that they are not a vegetarian kitchen). And you will have to pay extra for any substitutions. 😔 My favourite is the vegan breakfast burrito (with vegan eggs and vegan cheese). Big portion (would be nice to be able to order half portion to avoid food waste for some of us that have a small appetite). We went 4 times and the 3 last times we had to wait about 25/30 min for our dishes to arrive while other customers that arrived after us had their meals before us. Same things with the coffee fill up...should be done more frequently. Nobody paid attention to us on our last visit, after 25 min we had to call someone to have more coffee! Ordered the Beyond meat burger that stated beyond meat patty + vegan cheese, my burger came without the cheese when we asked the waiter he said it does not come with cheese....🤷‍♀️🤥 Friendly staff

As you walk into this cool retro looking restaurant, you are greeted by a red hot mustang. The entire place looked lively with colorful decor and energetic music. Another section of the restaurant has a beautifully renovated school bus, unfortunately it was full that day. My friends ordered a regular and Canadian burger while I went with my favorite egg, toast + sausage breakfast. It was a delicious brunch with lovely atmosphere. Next time I visit our capital I’m certainly coming back here!

✅ It was the nice dinner experience today at Zak’s Dinner. We ordered Zak’s regular burger and Crispy Chicken Wrap. I must say the Crispy Chicken Wrap is ✅9/10 and the regular burger is ✅8/10. Overall very good experience. This restaurant has a very good reputation and we lived the staff’s behaviour also. Thank you Zak’s dine. Will visit again.

Loved the place! When we arrived there was a huge lineup but they were quick in seating everyone. The food was delicious Mexican food! We ordered Chimichanga, Tacos and Mango smoothie. Everything tasted really good but the only disappointment was their chicken, it was quiet rubbery and chewy. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a good hangout spot.

My friends and I wanted to do a little get together over the holidays and decided a diner would be best. We left full with no complaints besides not having enough room for dessert and having to eat at the Cantina instead since it was crowded but that's understandable since it's a busy restaurant. The waiter was absolutely incredible. He was patient with our large group and able to fulfill all our wacky demands. Definitely coming back!

Excellent atmosphere and such a lovely place altogether. Id recommend :) the servers are busy but they really do their best and make you feel welcome. I loved my experience. Foods good and decently priced although it’s a little expensive for the diner but I believe the overall experience justifies the cost. So, in all fairness, they get it right on all counts :) a must try!

Went there for supper. Had a great experience from start to finish. The dishes taste were eclectic yet balanced. Ambiance was great. Also have to mention the fact that they are all working as a team there for serving customers. Small things like being refilled my water glass like 10 times without having to ask. Very proactive!

Came for our wedding anniversary and had such a lovely meal. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend and will certainly be going back. Also, I have to say how much I appreciate the mocktails on their menu. They were so good and takes some of the stigma away from not having alcohol with a nice meal.

To say the staff at Gezellig’s set the new bar in terms of customer service in fine dining would be the understatement of the year. From the incredibly courteous young ladies who greeted us at the door to being seated, to having our food and drinks served with a smile and graciousness made our first anniversary together the most memorable night of this entire year. The food was incredible with the lamb and pork belly served with the carrot salad falling apart in your mouth like butter. The lamb was also a sharp contrast to my choice of the salmon which had the acidity of the lemon paired with a perfectly crisped, flakey salmon that held up to the other flavours on the plate. A special mention to our server James who went above and beyond in every way to make the night memorable. He brought easy conversation, amazing recommendations and insight into the wine pairings with the meals with a relaxed approach that never made you feel rushed. Thank you all again.

Gezellig is a great location for brunch. Nice location with plenty natural light, minimalist decor, buzzing ambiance and delicious food. • The brunch menu offers smaller plates allowing us to sample more than one in a single sitting. Great concept! • I ordered a savory plate first (breakfast sandwich) which was tasty. The biscuit as buttery and satisfying while the second plate satisfied my sweet tooth (banana bread French toast). • Overall great brunch experience, we will certainly be back.

Service was good and although the menus is small, it has a good variety of options. As a vegetarian who is allergic to eggs and avocado, there weren’t many options for me. It would be nice to have a vegan option that wasn’t salad on the menu and maybe more eggless options. I think for non-vegans, it is a great spot.

This was our first visit to Gezellig. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the warm look snd feel of the restaurant. The service from the moment we entered was friendly and our server was friendly as well as well as knowledgeable and timely. We enjoyed 2 different appetizers and entrees along with the recommended wine pairings which were perfectly matched! The ambience and professional service added to the enjoyment of our experience. Cost was very reasonable for the experience. We will definitely be back!

Delicious brunch! You can order 2 small plates, so it's good to try two flavors! My friend and I ordered mussels & fries, risotto, fish cake, and hamburgers. The staff was friendly, food was delicious, and I wish there were some side veggies on each menu, but you can order the salad separately.

Bravo! Over the years, I have been lucky to eat at many restaurants in the Ottawa area. In my opinion, Gezellig is among the top five restaurants in the National Capital Region. During my latest visit, I went with my family for brunch, and all of our plates were delicious. My son told us that his eggs were the best he had ever eaten. Overall, it was a really fun experience with great food. Would be more than happy to come back.
