I think this park would be most enjoyed by families with adventurous kids or adults that are excited by heights. Being neither, we found the enjoyment that we got from the park to be a bit unworthy of the cost. The main feature, the suspension bridge, is very cool. I liked learning about it and traversing it a few times back and forth. But that bridge is simply not worth the $66 (CAD) adult ticket. And the other additions to the park (the cliff walk, the treetop adventure, and the neat birds) didn't quite make up the difference for us either. Especially when you can find a suspension bridge (that is not quite as high or as long) a short drive away at Lynn Creek Canyon for free. So again, I think for families with kids, this would probably be a really fun way to spend an afternoon. Do keep in mind that everything cool in the park requires you to cross the 270ft/70m high bridge that moves with every step someone makes. So if your kid (or you for that matter) can't make it over the bridge, then you can't access any of the other park features except the cliff walk, the gift shop, and the restaurants. As an additional note, we were there while the special Halloween decorations were up and we really loved that addition. We also saw that a Christmas light display would be following it. This DID add to the value for us and I would recommend that other try to time their visits to the park with some thing special like that.

This was a great park, just large enough to go through with kids in tow without tiring them out too much. I could see how weekends might be really busy and I would probably opt for weekday if you can to really enjoy the views it is a hefty priced ticket so you want to make sure you get max value. I will say this park is not for anyone that has a fear of heights - there is a suspension bridge with quite a bit of movement even with minimal people on the bridge - it is a good distance to the other side so please be aware. That being said the views from The various bridges, the birds of prey, totem poles all made it pretty interesting and worthwhile for us.

We had an amazing and rainy visit to the suspension bridge and park! Our girls loved the explorer program and the views were breathtaking. We ate lunch at the cliff side restaurant, walked all of the trails including the cliff walk. So amazing. Even the gift shop was great!

All I can say is "wow!" They did an amazing job creating this aerial park which has no steep slopes at all. The gift shop was also amazing, which had various unique souvenirs, as well as collectible art pieces. The ticket price includes a shuttle ride from Canada Place at the Waterfront. Pictures don't do it justice; it really must be appreciated in person. I would highly recommend going early in the morning when there are fewer people for good photo ops.

This is such a fun and must-see place to go! Even when it's a little wet, it's a lot of fun. There is food available there, you can easily spend a half-day exploring the different levels of this park. With lots of rest areas, it's a moderate climb, but still totally doable if you're working on your fitness journey. I definitely recommend going earlier, before 11am as it definitely starts to get busy after that. I really appreciated the free, year-round shuttle, it really sold me on visiting.

The winter lights were stunning!!! I had bought tickets in advance and was subsequently dreading going because the forecast was freezing cold weather. So so glad I bundled up and came. The bridge itself is gorgeous at night time but the rest of the park is something else! I loved the tree walk high above the ground. The lights were extraordinary. Even with lots of people on a sold out night, the park felt large enough to accommodate everyone outside distanced safely. The hot chocolate is a must try. Great family friendly activity

The trip to Capilano was beautiful and far exceeded our already high expectations. Free shuttle to and from the Hyatt downtown on a clean coach bus, beautiful 20min drive to the park. No wait to get in, not crowded, quite peaceful (we went on a Wed around 4pm, perfect time to avoid crowds and get the evening discount). I have never been to a park so clean, well constructed and finished so beautifully. The bridge itself is very cool, but the other add-on courses/trails were an extra bonus. There is a treetop bridge course, a pond trail, and a nature’s edge walk. All trails are wood-boarded so you don’t have to worry about mud/getting your shoes dirty. The views are spectacular, of the mountains, water below, and the vast forest surrounding. Very well done. As someone who is not a huge nature person, I absolutely loved the experience. Very much worth the trip, and you get a bang for your buck. One of my favourite things we did while in Vancouver. Thank you Capilano for an amazing time!

This park really is a must see in Vancouver. The price of admission is expensive but it is definitely with the money. The park is absolutely breathtaking. Everything is perfectly maintained and sparkling clean. The employees are super friendly and helpful. The forest is lush, peaceful and amazing. The long suspension bridge is very exciting to cross and there are several other shorter suspension bridges connected from tree to tree. I have never seen anything like this anywhere else. They also have a couple of cafe’s and a large gift shop. There is a covered pavilion and plenty of places to rest and relax along the trails. Most of the trails through the forest are beautiful wooden boardwalks. AMAZING! Parking lot is right across the street.

Great family event. You need a couple of hours. Have lots of opportunities for pictures. Need to take the suspension bridge to get to the scenery side. Tour guides are very informative. Great with kids that are adventurous and like forestry. Very safe.

Absolutely beautiful outdoor excursion. Had an amazing time walking through the uniquely built suspended walkways. The staff was kind and helpful when my group was asking questions. Beautiful exhibits of First Nation history, supplies, and tools. Good food and cute little gift shop that is decorated with a warm log-cabin feeling.

This place is so cool and so wholesome, everyone should go here. The forest is beautiful, and the bridges, decks, and platforms are carefully curated to allow you to interact with the forest without being obtrusive. The main bridge is super cool, with just the right amount of bounce, but the Cliff Walk is where the real thrills are. And the Treetop Adventure is so enchanting, it's like being in an Ewok village. And the complementary shuttle literally from the door of our hotel streamlined the visit perfectly. Definitely go here. It's worth the trip.

Lovely place to enjoy the nature from the heights, the suspension bridge is nice experience, my kid enjoyed a lot walking on the bridge. We went yesterday, there were showers intermittently, however enjoyed the rain forest with rain. Walking on other wooden bridges also give you nice experience if you're visiting for the first time. Ticket price is on the higher side, visiting in the lights is worth the experience as well, in the entrance you can see the Totem poles, don't miss the board walk and photo frame view.

I think if you go to Vancouver it definitely is a must to see this place. Tickets are a little bit expensive You can have daily pr yearly pass tickets. . If you buy it online you can save 5-10% The staff in the park are really nice and helpful There are cafes and restaurants there. The experience of walking on bridge and learning about the history of the place us really good. It is also good to understand the information provided in different places about trees and animals Also very nice place for children for playing and learning

Many claim it's an overpriced tourist trap, but I spent 3 hours here with my daughter, and we enjoyed it very much! There are a lot of areas to explore and definitely a good family adventure. I have a fear of heights, and the main bridge was rough, but I'm so happy I took the chance on this park! Buy your tickets in advance for a bit of a discount. The shuttle bus was appreciated!

Great place! We took our time and spent a few hours here. The Treetops Adventure is worthy and manageable. It is an easy walk across short, stable suspended bridges (not wobbly). The Cliffwalk was scarier than the suspended bridge (in my opinion), but also very doable. Beautiful scenery. Educational opportunities (in writing and with guides) throughout. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful park. We arrived early and it wasn't too crowded. Parking and access was very easy. The suspension bridge was wobbly, but that adds to the experience. The tree canopy walk is fun and great for small children and adults. The cliff walk was beautiful and had great viewpoints of the bridge and river below.

Went to grouse for a ski retreat for the first time this season. Overall it was a very nice experience and appears to have activities for the entire family including ice skating. The lifts were almost all open and there were a few terrain parks for people to use. While it is certainly a small mountain with only 3-4 lifts it’s accessibility makes it very appealing. We were able to make it to the gondola ride with a smart car and all of our snow gear with no issue. Only complaint is that their website is difficult to navigate and find lift ticket options and full pricing. I wish I would have know they had an evening lift ticket option available for 3PM-close access.

Very nice and fun for the whole family. You'll need a whole day to explore everything comfortably. They have a lot of informative, and funny shows. There's places to hike at as well. One downside is that their food is overpriced. Overall a fun experience

It is really good place to visit if you are in Vancouver area. We did grouse trial hike to reach mountain instead gandola and it took around 1.5 hrs to but it was good experience and work out. You need at least couple of hours at the top to enjoy views and other activities. There are many activities like zip line and hiking. Overall it is good place to spend half day.

The cable car is fun. Great spring skiing. L love the mountain. So close to town. Get there early and make the most of the paid parking or take a free bus from down town vancouver. Mask are required during the ride up and down

Loved the view from the gondola and the restaurant had some nice vistas too. There's a lot to do up top from hikes to the lumberjack show and the grizzly bear exhibit. Had some good nachos at the restaurant, it's a busy place so be prepared to have a lengthy sit. Definitely one of my favourite tourist activities I did while in Vancouver.

This place is so beautiful. There is a cable car going up the mountain. Or anyone who likes to hike, there is a trail to walk upstairs, the weather is very good, cool, and you can see the view of Vancouver. The cable car costs $20. There are 2 bears on the mountain. It's in a protected area.)

Take the free shuttle from Canada Place and enjoy the 30 mins ride across the Lions Gate Bridge. Take the Skyrode to the top of Grouse Mountain and enjoy the Birds in Motion demonstration, the Grizzly Bear Habitat and the entertaining Lumberjack show. There are other activities that are also included in the ticket price. Take the chairlift to the Peak, it's worth the view! Bring sunscreen, a hat and maybe bug spray, as the show areas are not sheltered from the sun

This fantastic elevated park is incredibly close to Vancouver, making it super convenient. My daughter had a blast exploring the mountains, especially when she saw grizzly bears for the first time. The gondola ride was also a standout, with top-notch quality and a remarkably smooth and quiet ride—much better than others we've tried elsewhere. It felt incredibly safe the whole way. The staff at Grouse Mountain were wonderful. They were a bunch of friendly young folks who clearly love what they do. I highly recommend Grouse Mountain, especially in the summertime. It's a great place to have fun, engage in exciting activities, and soak in the stunning natural beauty.

Beautiful mountain and facilities. I highly recommend having experiences of the winter sports here and Grouse has unique atmosphere. My son used to have a camp when he has a school break. The camp instructors were nice and kids could meet their friends. I have experienced here only this winter, but I am planing to hike at Grouse in summer too.

Went with my family to spend the Sunday there. We enjoyed the whole experience. The lumberjack show was amazing and the views stunning. Very recommended. You can even have a very nice picture take at the tower 7 that you can later on pay and collect at the Chalet.

We got to try the treetop rope adventure and it was a great activity for the whole family! Next time I would probably not wear the rings and take a pair of workout gloves to make it easy on hands. The bird show and the lumberjack show were pretty fun as well. At the end of the day, it was nice to catch the sun go down from the restaurant deck.

We went during the summer and it was a great little tourist attraction with grizzly bears - Grinder & Coola - a Lumberjack show, Indigenous music, and wild birds of prey. Recommend planning to spend at least a few hours here. The longest queue was taking the gondola down the mountain so plan on leaving taking a little longer then you would expect. Got lucky and saw a beautiful Raven in the parking lot too. There is a shuttle that takes you from Canada Place to Grouse Mountain that runs about every 30-45 minutes. If you are staying around downtown, use the shuttle to your advantage.

Way too expensive for what you get. Total of CA$185 for two adults, 3 hr parking, two 500ml waters. For this you get two 8 minute gondola rides, packed like sardines, looking out of scratched windows, and a variety of activities up top. We saw a bird show which was very good and informative (showing 4 birds), saw the bears, took a ski lift ride to the top and watched some loggers do a skit. If the whole thing was 20-30% cheaper, it would have felt like a great day out but at that price, I felt like I'd been swindled. It was incredibly hot, smokey so you can't see that far, and lots of wasps which obviously isn't the fault of the people who put it on, be careful when planning for this and consider why you are going up there to figure it it's worth it.

Everything was very organized. We paid for our timers online as well as the lift tickets back down. The trail is well marked and has roping and netting at the most steep points. We had lots of fun and everyone was supportive and careful as it is quite steep. If you are not in great physical condition, this is probably not the event for you. Also, make sure to wear hiking boots or trail running shoes. Once you reach the top, there is a nice post recovery station with juices, water, etc. If you need something more, there is also a Cafe. We didn't look the part, and were super sweaty, so we stayed outside and enjoyed the view. The vantage point at the top makes the hike worth it. Definitely stop and relax before heading on. The cable car ride down was absolutely stunning!

Not suggested for beginners. Trail is completely climbing stairs with some difficult and dangerous steeps. Should have proper hiking gear. When you reach the top, you find it more commercialised. Than your expected grand view. However, being Welcomed by the sight of two adopted Grizzly bears help you feel content of the hike.

If you like stairs then this hike will give you all you want. It’s an amazing hike up the side of Grouse Mountain ⛰ this is not for the beginner or faint of heart. I absolutely enjoyed the hike up and the work out is fantastic. The information says about 3000 steps but I’m sure there is more than that. The way up is picturesque and relaxing under the canopy of the trees. My son and I did it on one of the hottest days of the year so we drank lots of water and took breaks when needed. The reward at the finish is the satisfaction that you completed it and the stunning views from the top of the mountain. There is also a lot of activities to see and do up top. For those that are able I definitely recommend this hike, it’s well worth the effort. The nice thing is the free ride down on the tram after you have reached the top.

Awesome challenging hike up the side of Grouse Mountain - the Peak of Vancouver. The trail is well marked and has safety features at the steepest points. Physically challenging, so come prepared knowing what you expect. Nice recovery spot once you reach the top to refuel and enjoy the hard earned views. The Grouse Grind Trail is a must-visit for any hiking enthusiast. The trail is very beautiful and offers some of the most breathtaking views of the city. However, be warned, this hike is not for the faint-hearted. It is a hard hike, and you will need to be in good physical shape to make it to the top. But the effort is well worth it. Once you reach the top of the mountain, there are plenty of good things to do. You can relax and enjoy the stunning views, take a break at the restaurant, or even take a ride on the gondola. The experience is truly unforgettable. Overall, I highly recommend the Grouse Grind Trail to anyone looking for an adventure. It is a challenging hike, but the scenery and experience are well worth the effort. So, put on your hiking boots, pack plenty of water, and get ready for an amazing journey.

This hike is a must do once a year for me. If I can do it more than once even better. It’s a challenging climb more of endurance than difficulty because you’re going up high steps at all times, no flat zones at all. Make sure you dress accordingly and proper shoes. I saw so many people wearing dress clothing on the way yo im sure had no idea what was coming. This time I did it in 1h 7 mins and thats my best time ever so it can take from 45 min to two hours depending on your cardio.

Very difficult but nice trail. Many people went back in the middle of the trail due to its difficulty. Make sure you have water and some chocolate/trail mix with you. Took me about two hours to get on top. Definitely worth it.

Definitely a must do when you’re in Vancouver and enjoy to be active/enjoy challenging hikes. The Grouse Grind is a 2.9-km (1.8-mile) ascent, with an elevation gain of 853 metres (2,800 feet). According to Grouse Mountain, there are 2,830 steps in total. Not super easy (rated difficult), but definitely worth it and I like that you can take it at your own time. However there are limited rest spots and almost no benches along the way up. Some people manage under an hour - it took us 1 hour and 29 minutes, which seems to be average. A couple of other things: there are no washrooms along the trail and dogs are not allowed.

This is a challenging hike up the mountain. Bring 20 dollars as you need to use the gondola ride down the mountain. Bring water and some heavy caloric food for energy as you need it for this hike. I suggest chocolate or something easy to put in your mouth without adding too much weight. Heavy traffic in this hike and it gets narrow and steep higher up. Expect to be challenged when doing this.

What a wonderful all "step up" trail! I did it slow and finished in 3hrs. Normally it takes 1:30-2hrs only The people passed by are super nice ti encourage me. At the higher area around the tip, almost there are all the rocks so need to be more careful.

Just to reiterate what’s already been said here: it’s a challenging hike. It’s not really technical but a stair master out in the woods. Prep yourself by working on your cardio. If you are wondering how long it takes, just double your 5K running time (or use your 10k time). The view from the top is pretty good. There is a cafe and a gondola down. Some people take the other trail back down. Definitely not a family friendly trail. More like a work out trail.

It’s a great uphill trail with a fantastic view of Howe Sound and the city at the top. However, considering a download ticket costing $20 each time, I’m not sure I would go often. I can get the exercises for the same results for free and how often do I need to see the views. There is an annual pass for ~$230 but it would only be worth it if you go at least 12 times a year or you have multiple visitors a year that you need to take them to the mountain. The rating is a combination of 5-star for the trail and the view at the top and 1-star for the cost.

Got to see the salmon and the small fish fry. Hiked up to the second viewing point and up to the Cleveland Dam. Excellent hike. Great easy trails. Good for the family

No tickets needed. This is located in a gigantic beautiful park that reminds you of how gorgeous British Columbia is. The road leading down to the hatchery is winding and a bit tight, so I definitely recommend going slower as the speed limit signs suggest. Once there, you can go in for free and see the exhibits, the small dam, a flowing rivers, and the fish swimming around in the tanks they grow in. I would recommend coming back in the late summer or fall when the fish are more grown and abundant to see the hatchery at its peak, but going to learn on a sunny day is still a great experience in itself.

Wonderfully done and completely free of charge to visit! There was plenty of informational plaques available for those interested in learning more about the hatchery and the work they do as well as several fish viewing tanks. This is absolutely worth the stop and there are even many hiking trails nearby to visit before or after the hatchery.

It’s free, informative, beautiful view. Didn’t see any salmon in the river at that time, but there are some in the hatchery. Learned a lot about salmon hatchery and its sustainability. There are some walking trails along the river. Beautiful view of the river and trees. It almost looks like the scene from the movie Bird Box.

Amazing free little gem teaching about salmon breeding in the area - signs are in English, French and Japanese. You can watch the salmon jump up the levels inside the education centre! The river is nice, too, and there's a trailhead here.

Fun place and lots of information about salmon and their role in the ecosystem. I enjoyed seeing the full grown salmon jumping in the ladder, would have liked to see the baby fish in their nursery tanks.

Complimentary. Fantastic place for you to come. It will be different by the season as they need time to grow the salmon before releasing them back to the river and swim back to the ocean. Well management. Thank you for protecting and supporting the environment for a sustainable developement.

Great place to see salmon running if it's the season. You can't see the hatchery tanks with the little fish in it though. They do have aquariums with a couple of small fish on display. Great hiking trails from here. Love it cause it's free.

If you want to know where fish culture, the city's drinking water supply, natural beauty and some great '70s architecture come together then don't miss this truly interesting site. I can't believe I waited 44 years to visit this place. 10/5, would recommend!

It was ok, if we'd had some type of guide to tell us about the hatchery other than our bus driver I would have found it more interesting. He did a great job though. I also wish we'd been able to actually go see the fish in their holding pens as well.

It's close to the bus station on the map, but it's actually a steep walk in the middle. We first visited Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, then took the bus to the dam. beautiful! 100% worth it. The Cleveland Dam looked close to the Capilano River Hatchery, but as I mentioned, the steep walk in the middle made us give up the idea of walking back to the bus stop. We decided to walk back 30 minutes and take the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park free shuttle back to downtown Vancouver. Driving is the best option if you want to visit. It was fun though and we had a great time watching the salmon.

Amazing. Holds the water in the lake like a hot dam. Some decent views are to be seen over the walls through the fence, but for short people it can be slightly disappointing as they have a hard time seeing anything. Recommend bringing stilts, or a step stool for the best experience.

A simple and beautiful trail to take. There's a free parking space with a great area for picnics. The road leads you across the dam and into a forested area full of well maintained trails. The view over the dam is amazing both ways.

Cleveland Dam is a lovely cheap trip for the family. You can take the whole family and walk trails, and enjoy the spectacular views of the dam, the waterfall, the lake and the mountains. 2 hours can easily be used up with the family. Bring liquids and foods can be optional.

Nice spot to take the dog for a walk. You can park at Capilano River Park and then walk up the Pipeline trail to the dam. Then loop around on the East side of the river past the fish hatchery. No shade on the dam, but loads of shade in the forest. On and off leash trails.

Beautiful place to visit! You can have a relatively easy and calming walk in nature with amazing scenery. It does get pretty cold so I recommend taking a jacket

I'm a bit surprised at the relatively low rating of this restaurant. I thought it was excellent and greatly enjoyed my experience. I was able to get a table on the patio with no reservation. Service was fast and friendly. The food was fresh and delicious (possibly the best clam chowder I've ever had), delicious chicken and waffles and a nice mocktail. Highly recommended, even worth a trip to North Vancouver from other parts of the city.

The experience was amazing. I came here for a birthday celebration and the service was really great. We got a seat on the patio with heating and with a beautiful view near the water. Each dish was delicious and came at good time (not too long of a wait in between each dish). Not to mention that the restaurant covers up to 2 hours parking at the Pinnacle Hotel underground parking. I will be back!

The food was delicious but we waited for it too long to have the meals after appetizers. The ambiance was not as I expected. You're lucky only if you have a table next to the window (when it's not freezing cold). Otherwise it doesn't have a nice environment inside. You can find the most recent menu among my photos.

Love this spot! Amazing place on the North Shore — right on the water with the best views for watching the sunset and seeing the Vancouver skyline. There’s nothing better than an evening on the patio here. Amazing service and food — both the 3-course menu and regular menu are superb. Comfortable and suitable for casual or dressing up

Good food and excellent view of the skyline during sunset. I had gone there on my husband’s birthday and everything was good and our hostess was very kind and offered us a dessert on the house. Really loved their vibe and hospitality.

Definitely recommend this restaurant especially for the seafood, the ocean view and ambiance but not for service and quality of the food. Definitely NOT for Valentine's Day dinner and not gay friendly. There was an image of a naked woman above each of the urinals, not very classy or respectful but fit for a cheap bar. The wall paper was also peeling off above the urinal. A Covid sign would have more utility. This location is clean and OK for drinks. There are bars, dinning on both levels and the view of Vancouver was amazing. There were a few challenges during this visit and our dinner did not go as smoothly as we hoped although we spent about $130 and did not order the cheaper meals. Last night was packed so make reservations the night before. Wait time was about 45mins to get a table for two as we did not make reservations. The patio on the ground level was cold and people dined with their winter jackets on. This might be good for people who were concerned about air circulation during the pandemic but this is not for everyone. Open spaces in the clear plastic tarp allowed cold sea breeze to enter at 5 degrees Celsius. An ideal patio for Summer. The manager worked his magic and relocated us to the upper level patio where it was comfortable due to overhead heating lamps. My expectations were not met comparing my initial impression, the price on the menu to the service and quality I paid for. Not good value for money on this category. It felt like Bait and Switch. You might want to ask for indoor dinning table with soft seats not basic walmart patio chairs.The surf and turf was ok. Good portion size.The lime margarita on the rocks was good. The quality of the cooking and service could really use some training. Our waiter said if you want soft moist and pink say medium rear because the medium I received was on the medium well side - mostly gray, dry inside and very little pink in the middle for me. No gravy or reduction sauce. I guess the customer is not right at this location. It was replaced with a medium rear succullent steak but it came at the end of the meal when I was almost ready to pay the bill. Usually steak is eaten with something other than a watered down glass of coca cola that took 15mins. Alcohol refills are faster here. I had 4 leaves of arugula. Barely anything to eat it with because I ate the lobster, mashed potatoes and asparagus while waiting an Hour for the remake on the steak. Instead of staying 1 hour, my visit was extended over 2 hours. Lobster was bit on the tough side so I order extra butter. This was not the experience I hoped for. Maybe because of my race or gender or untrained staff when it comes to customer service. The kitchen staff must be able to work in a fast paced environment, think customer first and be more proactive. See pics. Thanks.

I had a wonderful experience at Pier 7 today. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere and a stunning view of the waterfront. The staff was friendly and attentive, especially Kali. He was awesome! He was also very efficient and professional, and checked on me regularly to make sure I’m happy with my food and drinks. He went above and beyond to make my visit memorable. Thank you, Kali, for your excellent service! You are a star!🌟

What a lovely restaurant with excellent view of sea and downtown. The staff are absolutely professional and kind. I like the design and atmosphere. The food was really tasty in general. The price is almost reasonable in comparison with portion and quality. The best Chowder soup I ever eaten in Vancouver. 3 egg omelette and Mushrooms on Brioche were excellent. Highly recommended.

Dropped by for some brunch with my friends after hiking as I heard good things. But I made the mistake of getting Chicken & Waffles... It was all looks and no substance. Very basic, not enough syrup, with a tiny chicken (although it was juicy), and the berries did nothing in terms of flavor.. My friends also thought their food was 3 stars at most. Good service, a premium spot, sub-par food.

This is a wonderful little restaurant by the dock. We were seated with a wonderful view of the mountains and water. They offered friendly and efficient service, overall we had a very comfortable stay. We had the spicy spaghetti and burger. Both entrees went above and beyond my expectations. 10/10 would go again. The only red flag is that they didn’t mention that the fountain drinks were not refillable and we were charged $16 for iced tea. 🤪

My friend told me this place has the best mussels!! So of course I had to try it out and OMG it’s true!!! I ordered the mussels and replaced the side of fries with the garlic bread!!! 👌🏻🤤🤤🤤 go try it!! You won’t regret! Especially if you like mussels! It’s in a coconut milk based curry that is savoury and has a bit of kick to it!! It was the best after having hours on the water paddle boarding! The service is also great!

Been going to arms reach for years and it is always a great experience. The mussels are my favourite, and I have never had better ones anywhere else. They are steamed in a creamy, garlicky broth that is like no other! I have had a couple of bad batches in the past (out around 30 times ordering the mussels) but the staff is always quick to make up for it and bring me something else. Spicy spaghetti is always delicious and full of sausage! They also offer a gluten-free penne (so good you would never even know it didn't have gluten!) for those with a sensitivity/allergy. Brunch is also great, my favorite is the salmon Benedict with the mimosa flight! You can make a reservation for indoors, but the patio is first come first serve. With the incredible views of the water, it makes sense why. Dogs are also welcome on the patio. Brunch, lunch, or dinner, if you are looking for a nicer place with fresh seafood, Arm's reach is the place to go! Our server was very nice and the ambiance of the place is just amazing, overlooking the ocean and nature. My friends and I did think that the pasta were too dry but the serving was pretty big for $22. Our favorite was the R.B.C. it was the perfect mix of flavors. Definitely going back again in the summer.

Wonderful restaurant in Deep Cove. Super attentive servers, good local wine selection and delicious food. With a few vegetarian options, Arms Reach Bistro has something for everyone. The restaurant has an elegant, yet cozy atmosphere, perfect for special occasions dinning or after an afternoon stroll through Deep Cove. 👍👍

Best chicken I have ever had in my life!!! I never order chicken but looked interesting in the menu so i did it and OMG it was amazing! ordered some wine and a garlic baguette (sorry, no pic) everything was great! my sissy ordered a chicken tikka masala like and she loved it! they give you blankets bc it gets chilly! the view is great and the service is great too! will definitely come back and recommend to everyone!

Food was great. Actually, the fries are soooo good. We did not expect their food are that great. Pasta was a little salty, but it depends on people. Steak was also amazing, but a bit over cooked, but we did not return them because it was full of people in the dining and it was super difficult to call servers. 🥲 Overall, great experience!

Very good food, extremely nice location with lots of windows onto beautiful Deep Cove, Cosy atmosphere. The cauliflower starter and the penne with chicken were amazing. We found the baked spaghetti a bit bland: the sauce was good, but there were too many spaghetti for it. I only rated 4 for service because when we asked for a glass of wine when our food came (our glasses were empty) it took quite long before it came, meanwhile our food getting cold. This can happen but in fact it happened twice, on consecutive evenings. Perhaps it’s my European background but I wouldn’t mind at all if the food took a little longer to be served - but once you have the food you want the drink fast.

We have been here twice, and each time was wonderful. This most recent time around, we got the seafood tower. It had, hands down, the best lobster that I have ever tasted *and* the best baked oysters that I have ever tasted. They must magick their seafood down from some wonderful place on high where the fish are personally blessed by a great deity. Seriously, it was that good. The service was outstanding as well. When we went pre-pandemic, we didn't have reservations because we were just dropping in to check it out, and the service at the bar was superlative. This time, we reserved a table and it was again excellent. They were even nice enough to help me with a mask when I'd lost mine after taking it off for dinner. We'll be making the trip up again in a couple months to eat here, and I'd imagine that as long as we live in the region, we'll make sure to come by at least two or three times a year if not more.

Came here for an early dinner. They had a happy hour special from 4pm to 6pm. We ended up ordering all the appies on the happy hour menu and we were full. Seared scallops very tasty. Crispy shrimp and squid was light and crispy with a dipping sauce that had a little kick to it. Seared tuna was good. Mussels were not fresh but edible. Octopus was the highlight. Definitely a must try,

I celebrated my birthday in this place, the food was very good, the salmon wellington took the night away. The place was full despite being Monday, for a moment it is unpleasant that they are reminding you that you only have 2 hours because the next reservation arrives, this don’t let you enjoy the dinner. Other than that, it was a very good experience. Fair prices, good portions, friendly staff. They should have something for birthday’s celebration (complimentary cake or something)

We went with a high expectations because of the reviews. I actually invited my friends travelled to North Vancouver for a good evening at this place. Unfortunately, we hit a very bumpy ride. The patio is so right next to the road, tightly, that if you stretched at the wrong timing, a bus will hit your arms. When asked for a sample for the beer on tap, the waitress brought it with a glass that has a crack on top and goes whole the way to almost bottom. I hesitated a bit but finished it carefully because I and my friends were in a nice conversation so I didn't want to be disrupted. When I reminded the waitress this issue, she was like ‘oh I didn't see this when I brought it.’ I was filled with question marks in my head because it's not possible to miss it. To start with, we ordered the oysters 🦪 that we were excited about. TBH, they did not taste too fresh to me, but my friend thinks that it’s not bad. However, we both agreed that the oysters are very small, like smaller than the spoon 🥄 for them. We also ordered the seafood tower, another thing that we are excited about. It looks great and tastes great as well. But all items are significantly smaller than other places. Additionally, a dish with tuna came with a piece of dirty plastic wrap mixed in it. it's really gross. But when we told the waitress, she took it away immediately. She came back in a few mins and said ‘okay, we took it out of your bill.’ and left. We feel like she did not take food safety seriously and is very used to this issue. We felt unsafe to eat more at this moment. It was too late to go somwhere else, so we stayed but drank only water from this point. In the end of the day, we spent almost $200 for three people and I ended up heating my leftover when got home. Very embarrassed from inviting my friend came all the way to North Van for a night like this. In sum, for the taste and the drinks, it's quite good. But I am concerned about the food quality and safety there. #EatAtYourOwnRisk

Great place & service and good vibes. Ceviche was the best thing we ordered on the menu. The fish poutine with goat cheese gravy was interesting to try. The pasta dishes weren’t as good as anticipated (personally).

Highest quality food and service. Lovely venue too. I had the Wild Pacific halibut ceviche and seared scallops from happy hour menu - so delish 🤤😋. Will come back to try the rest of the menu.

Highly recommend, the food is incredible. Crab cakes were so good and tender. Little wings oysters were so fresh and delicate. Salmon carpaccio was amazing, accompanied with garlic chips, roasted capers and emoji mushrooms. Bouillabaisse was mouth watering, mussels and halibut in it were so fresh! Totally worth visiting again.

Good dining experience in general. Friendly and attentive service from booking reservation to making changes for earlier seating, to the entire dining experience. Every dish was somewhere meeting my expectation (especially when you had good company & welcoming bartenders!) A place I’d revisit.

Simple menu but well done. This is like classic pub fare you would expect to get. It’s nothing fancy but there is also nothing wrong with it. The restaurant is massive with both indoor and outdoor seating. The waiter was very good in explaining any dishes and advising one of the people who joined us one what to order due to dietary restrictions. I’m not sure I would go out of my way to come here but this was a work trip and we needed accommodation for a big group so it worked well for us!

Really dirty, lots of bugs flying around the restaurant. Pros: - The food was good, ordered the Truffle Onion Ring Burger with Truffle Waffle Fries. I don't normally order burgers but this is the place that I would prefer ordering burgers from. - Service was good, the server built a good rapport, and also gave us time to decide what type of food we wanted to order. - Didn't have to wait long to get a table on a Friday night. Cons: - As mentioned in the initial sentence, lots of bugs flying around. Assuming it's just summer... - quite pricey just to substitute fries. Would come back again!

Very enjoyable brunch here. The fried chicken benny & Chicken and Waffles were delicious. Tasty cocktails too. The glass sheltered patio was a lovely sun trap. Staff and service was great

A nice location right at the quay and near the water. We went for happy hour and while it was busy, this place is huge with a ton of indoor and outdoor seating. The happy hour menu has some great choices and if you’re looking for a light or cheap dinner, there are some great choices. The kids menu dishes are huge and everything is tasty. If you want something that follows the template of the mid range west coast restaurant, Tap and Barrel will be consistently good.

Large restaurant that’s mostly a sports bar vibe. Glad that they serve food late. The Caesar salad with prawns was good and nicely dressed, the lettuce wraps were super flavorful with a touch of spice

Had the best bbq burger EVER. Most places have an overwhelming bbq sauce to the point where you don’t taste the meat or anything else but the pork shoulder was slow cooked so the natural juices played so well with the bbq sauce. And you could still taste the perfectly cooked beef patty, it was not dry. The jalapeños also had the perfect amount of kick, most places go weak with heat but this one was the perfect amount of heat to make every bite perfect. The hummus was also really really good, very nice presentation. The bread however was incredible. You can tell the dough was specially formulated for the pizza dome oven. The outside was crisp and light while the middle still had a soft chew to it. We also had the blacked chicken rice bowl which was also a hit. The chicken was perfectly cooked, not dry and the seasoning was not burned. Came with a nice variety of other fresh ingredients like the avocado which played really well all together.

The beers are pretty good and I love their sour beers. The snacks are pretty good too. I didn't try and main meal but I tried the squid, grilled chicken and two different fries. My favorite was the waffle fries. The wings and the squid were ok. The staff are amazing and super friendly and the environment is great specially the patio has a great view. Inside is pretty cool as well with all those big barrels on top of each other.

***Tip: even though there’s an online reservation option for the patio, it does not exist/the hostess will tell you “sorry it’s first come, first serve”*** - great patio for a sunny, happy-hour afternoon in North Van! Food was tasty and had a decent beer list. Great location in the hear of shipyard district. As stated before, it was disappointing that our patio reservation wasn’t honoured, but odd why the option would be present online….either way, good place for patio beers.

One of our favourite casual patios in summer. Great with family and for date nights. Menu is good, a little change would be better. We shared a pizza, hummus/pita and waffle fries with beers which were sufficient for 2 adults. Hummus appetizer was much better deal than waffle fries (fries were around $11 for approx 6-7 pieces). Everything tasted delicious as usual and service was friendly.

The restaurant definitely has some character of its own; so, we can see why it attracts visitors and why it has become a landmark but, we didn’t find the food to be as memorable. We went there for lunch and, even though the menu has many options, it was hard to find anything interesting that wasn’t breakfast oriented, similar burgers/sandwiches or basic diner food. For example, the burger descriptions were almost the same, except for an ingredient (absent or present). Anyways, that wouldn’t have been an issue except for the fact that, even though the food was good, it didn’t really exceed any expectations. We had the STEAK AND MUSHROOM PIE, which was the most successful; the CHIEF DOMINIC CHARLIE BURGER, which was OK; and, a LEMON MERINGUE PIE that looked better than it tasted. The service was friendly.

I have been wanting to try this place ever since I moved to Vancouver, and today is the day I tried it. If you love breakfast, then this is the place for you! The food was great despite the long wait. I would recommend you order the mixed grill if you have a huge appetite. It's so worth it for the price. Fun Fact: The restaurant was established in 1926, making them the oldest restaurant in Vancouver!

We loved the atmosphere and food here so much. Service is great and fast. We ordered beef dip and the burger, which tasted great. However, the apple pie that we ordered as a dessert came out cold even though we ordered hot and there was a dead fly on it. Overall it was a great experience and we would go back for food.

A great spot for brunch, especially if you're visiting, or new to Vancouver. The Tomahawk has a large selection to suit everyone's tastes, the prices are fair, and they use high quality ingredients (the hashbrowns are super crunchy). From Benny's to big brunch platters, they have it all. If you're going with more than 2 people, make sure you get there early because the line can get pretty long. Can't wait to come back again!

4 stars because the Breakfast bowl was not tasty. The New York Steak was fantastic though. Staff were super friendly, fast service and amazing coffee. Good value for money. The decorations were pretty cool too.

Interesting decorations, looks like a souvenir shop at the entrance. I found the food was too salty but the fries were great. We were the only guests there in the late evening but I heard this place is very busy in the morning. The waitress was bit in rush when she asked if we’re ready to order when we first sat down and then come back to ask again within a minute. Turned out it was because it was near closing time. She was still nice though.

I got friend recommended this place for me and here I am! This place has incredible burgers! It totally nailed it!!! Definitely recommend to everyone who hasn’t had a good burger yet, this will give you a surprise! I’m coming back with more family and friends to try different things on the menu.

One of our favourite restaurants to visit when we visit North Van. Usually we have breakfast (which is always amazing) but arrived at supper time. I had the turkey dinner ( yes- amazing) and lovey had the lasagna which he really enjoyed. We usually get pie to go, as their pies are legendary, but finished off with the fresh strawberry pie … best I’ve ever had. Thank you for the great service as well.
