It's neat and has a lot of interesting machines to see. The machines as art are really amazing. They're intricately designed and really quite beautiful. They do shows of the machines that are displayed in the gallery, then a walk up the terrace to see the workshop and a short movie, and finally a walk along a metal tree lined with plants. 8.50 to see the gallery, 8.50 to ride the elephant, 8.50 to ride the carousel. The gallery ticket and elephant ticket allow you to go up to the terrace as well. With that said the machines movements and actions are all quite simple so don't expect any great feats or robotics.

Loved this interesting interactive exhibit! My son had told me about it, so we were excited to visit. A rugby exhibition was happening nearby,and there were two carousels nearby created by the same people that if I was a kid I'd die to ride. One carousel was three in one! Three stories of carousels. The exhibit was guided,and they had older children and adults ride or run them - a giant me mechanical spider, a heron that "flew", etc. But of course the piece de resistance was the elephant. For less than 10€, you could ride on this enormous elephant in a 35 minute ride ( you have to book a time for the ride). A once in a lifetime experience! Great for families OR adults. Plenty of parking a block away in several parking garages.

Amazing place. Especially to bring kids there. Lots of fun for everyone. Tickets can be but at the door or there are some slots available on line. Place is still growing so expect more in near future. Highly recommended place to see in Nantes

A very nice place for all types of people, singles, couples, families, and kids. Really enjoyed being there with my partner. - The big elephant was going around and spraying water on people and everyone was following it. You have the option of seeing more information by buying tickets and going inside the building where other similar animals are found inside, which are quite nice as well. The elephant offers rides as well so many people enjoy the show from being inside and over it, yet I think it's more enjoyable to play down to it. - The areas around have playgrounds so some people were playing basketball. Also Going to the river is nice as well.

Very interesting creatures in a cool setting. Very cleverly engineered animals and creatures which take you back to a Jules Verne-esque universe. The giant elephant is beautiful and graceful but watch out, it might squirt you with water! A must visit when in Nantes.

Absolutely loved this place! The way they have the displays and demonstration in the shop and also for guests to try was amazing. They let you be part of the crew that operates the machines to make it move, such an interactive experience! This place is worth the visit for young and adults to experience.

Very impressive piece of Machinery, all the family can enjoy those huge animatronics creatures made of wood and metal. Note that they are scheduled at specific times so make sure you check when the “things” will be wandering. Enjoy!

The Gallery is somewhat underwhelming, however the elephant ride is good fun and overall it is very good value for money. The large carousel also looked like fun but probably better if you have children with you. It was also a bit more expensive. The small carousel looked great for younger children and good value.

Great place to be and unleash the nerd in you, kid or adult :P Running away from the elephant spraying water was ridiculously fun. Elephant ride is was already reserved and complete for the day so we couldn't ride it but enjoyed our time a lot in the gallery and carousel anyway. Reserving your ticket online might be a good idea in high touristic season.

Amazingly good fun, especially for pre-teen children. I would recommend the ride on the Elephant and the Gallery of the Machines, but not the Sea Carousel as the ticket only gives 1 ride rather than 1 ride per level (there are 3 different levels and for a family of 4 or 5 it costs just over 33 euro for a 4 minutes ride)

The gallery was really interesting, with many different mechanized animals. If you are lucky, you get to ride in one of the machines as it is demonstrated. We "flew" in the heron bied machine, with the audience watching us, it was a really cool experience. Children love it too! After the visit you can use the ticket to enter on the opposite site of the building and have a look at the workshop. This is also a really good spot to be in when the elephant returns from its round. You then exit through the three branch.

This park is now on top of my list of botanical gardens. I enjoyed every inch of it. It is full of hidden surprises around every corner and presents a very pleasant experience. There is a restaurant inside, but it was fully booked so no comments about the quality and taste of the food.

A paradise for a dip in nature and beauty. Lovely landscapes, plants and flowers. Suggested as a shortcut from the station, but mostly for some relax (there’s also a very nice café). The variety of species is so rich and interesting, it’s very well kept. Funny benches and an interesting educational aspect. It’s not a full stars because we where looking for the birds (shaped hedges), and there is only a cute, beautifully maintained alone sleeping bear. It’s a worthy walk!

This garden has a lots of things that you can see. A nice place to have some peace of time or spend your day with lived ones. The best part is the train station is just opposite to travel away from Nantes and also a tramway to travel in Nantes.

Fantastic array of plants, mostly with name tags. Interesting tropical/ cactus greenhouses. Assortment of ducks/ geese and a little petting zoo with goats and chickens. Great place to visit with the kids for the day.

Very beautiful and peaceful place. Perfect for a little picnic with friends or to go alone and read a book under a tree. Cute cafe where you can drink good coffee.

The park is amazing and I would definitely recommend it to everybody no matter grown-up or families with kids to come into this park. And the sculptures are as well quite funny and everywhere in the park chairs with tables and benches to sit down for a few minutes. It is a very calm atmosphere the city centre!

A must-see in Nantes! Beautiful castle with a museum inside. The museum is focused on Nantes history, it's very well done & full of interactive media! You need at least 3 hours to get through the main exhibition. I recommend bringing wired head phones for the audio guide.

Amazing free Chateau to visit in Nantes. The grounds are beautiful and there's a moat with koi, turtles, and ducks swimming. Inside there's a cafe, a museum(need to pay for this), and the ramparts(free). We walked the ramparts and took in some great views of the area. There are a few placards around with some information about the area and the Chateau as well.

Great view inside and also outside from the 500m round walk on the wall. The museum is also worth visiting with a huge collection of exhibits. Top attraction of Nantes, don’t miss it!

Very interesting, beautiful, and well preserved castle in the centre of Nantes. Plenty of possibilities to walk around before actually having to pay entry to the interior rooms. Nice view on the surrounding area.

The design of the castle looks very unique, and although I didn't spend much time in it, yet I noticed and liked few stuff. I liked that it's surrounded by water where ducks swim and play around, which is a nice scenery, and moreover the grass down there is very beautiful where people sit and enjoy their time, quite unique. I recommend any group of people passing by to go there and spend some time around it.

It was the weekend of march 2023, the sky was lovely. I booked the ticket day for student, so the price for visiting the monument is so cheap. You should change the ticket before come inside the Castle of Ducs. It so big and large, we spent about 2,5 hours to all exploring. There is a map in the reception and the locking to put the bag and the coats 🧥. You can read the history of Nantes and also watch the short video in the museum. Outside the castle 🏰, there is the place to see the city center. Near by the Gare center. Highly recommended for your trip in Nantes.

Very original shopping mall. Art nouveau style. Plenty of upscale, fashion or new items for sale. Nice to stroll around too. You can also have a coffee there to admire the scenery and passers by.

Worth a visit and the time spent walking through the tunnel. It’s right next to the river, so listening to the water, one is meant to feel like they’re under the deck of a slave ship. Good quotes, and as a memorial space devoted to reflecting on slavery, it does its job pretty well. I wish that the signs were a bit easier to read, however. The letters are in silver on an opalescent surface, so I had trouble reading them. Dark black letters would have fixed this problem.

Interesting, unexpected and well laid out! However, it was upsetting to see some kids in a solemn place climbing the structure and treating the wooden planks like a jungle gym, with parents not telling them off.

This time I took from a la carte, the main dish was such a disappointment 😞, more like entree and in the end charged also more for it then it was 😠 the dessert was real surprise. So it is better to take daily menu for value/dish ratio.

Food was okay, there were a lot of sweet elements in the food which I don't particularly enjoy...the langoustine dish had something that reminded me of a hamburger bun and something sweet on top... the steak had some biscut bread thing with tomato sauce on it was kind of strange (reminded me of my first attempt of making pizza as a kid) the actual meats were good but it was kind of overdone.

Well, food is good but the service at noon is always busy and stressful. The waiters run around the tables as they're running a marathon, not really pleasent if you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy time around a meal.

We decided to come to this place after seeing reviews on Google. It’s my first time having the crêpe in Bretagne. We ordered the Norvégienne salmon galette, and a simple crêpe with a jam. My husband loved his crêpe! I like my galette but the salmon was a little too salty for me. The cooked leek and cream was really delicious. The service was slow. I think it was kind of under staffed for an extremely popular place. The staffs were all extremely busy servicing the customers. The outdoor seats were quickly taken but there was an upstairs seating area, too.

Went there for lunch, had a lovely time. Food is very good, at decent pricing. The lunch formula is an option I recommend. Staff was very sweet, so do not hesitate to try this place!

I’ve been here so many times— it’s quite decent, and not bad. But it has become quite touristy (and thus expensive). If you’re here between traditional meals times, or on a national holiday, this is likely the only place open. But if you want an authentic small-business galette experience, go across the street to Fleur de Sel, or down the road to La Cordelière.

Its a full place, but with mostly tourists. And you wait a lot. We could not finish our plates as there was not taste. The quality is really low. Its my second time having crepes in a resto, besides the ones i do at home. The ones i make home are mush better than what we had. After having an excellent crepe in Saint Malo (Crêperie des Bés), this one was a disaster. The cheese in the crepes was really salty, exaggerated. The staff was slow. For me its an expensive place for the quality you get.

Pretty good gallette place... athmosphere could be improved. The gallette complet does not disappoint, a good add on are the champignons a la creme... the poireaux(leek) a la creme was not flavourful and bad. overall not to bad but also not mindblowing

If you live or happen to pass by Nantes, you should give Un Nouveau Monde a try. The food is spectacular, the pricing is perfectly adequate and the staff will always go the extra mile (and even more) for you. Dinner is an experience, especially with their tasting menu (one of the most affordable in town, while being one of the most interesting) ; whereas lunch keep the same spirit while being surprisingly cost efficient and quickly served. With an ever changing menu, you are sure to discover a new dish or wine anytime you dine there.

I really enjoyed eating here. When I first went in I though it might be a little fancy for me but the food was really tasty and reasonably priced. We got paired wine with our meal and it was great. The Guinea fowl was delicious

Beautiful restaurant! Amazing value for the lunch menu. The waiters were very polite, the service was very quick and the food was absolutely flawless. Such attention to detail, the produce so fresh and local, you won't be disappointed!

Great food at a very good price for the quality (dinner menu with starter, main dish and dessert for 27€, kids menu with main dish, dessert and drink for 13€). Moreover, you are in a historical place: Jules Verne was born there! The service was great and our waiter really cared about the two kids in our party.

Never experienced such contrast in different kind of dishes, ones so great and others indifferent. The amuse bouche, the cream of Jerusalem artichoke with truffle was so light and delightful that I was on clauds. Strater- tartare de thon, I usually love it, here it had too much wasabi, it killed completely the taste of the fish, for me it was very dissapointing that I couldn't eat it, on the other hand my husband enjoyed it and could have more of it. The main dish, the black rise risotto with some crevetes and crevetes sauce to die for, I was enjoying it so much I never wanted to end tasting it- the dish which always should be on the menu! In the end I tried chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream from my husband's dish, very dry and indifferent dessert, a big dissapointment in the end.

Hadn't gone there since celebrating my baccalaureate 20 years ago. Eating in the garden was just as enjoyable as back then and the food is quite tasty, albeit expensive.

Elegant restaurant with varieties on the menu besides the usual beef steak and hamburger. Beautiful decor and ambiance. Staffs are attentive and food is good, however I felt my shrimp noodles today was a bit overdone. Restaurant can fill up fast so come early or make reservations.

The best dinner we had so far while traveling in Nantes. We took the 3 meal course and it was phenomenal. We wanted to add some tapas that is served as well but unfortunately we got to late to the restaurant so we didn’t try it. The winner dish is the salmon- amazing combination of flavors and textures. I also wanted to mention the size of the dishes- I have no idea who mentioned that in this restaurant the dishes are small, they are definitely not small. Thanks for a great dinner experience, we will definitely visit again on our next trip to Nantes.

It was a nice place but I felt that the price didn't justified the quality of service and food. They were very gentle but I think that because we were the only ones outside we felt that they forgot about us more than once, so I had to go inside for get their attention. We had a rissoto that was very good but not amazing, and a burger with fries. The French fries and the gorgonzola sauce was amazing, but the burger so not good, the meat didn't have much flavor. And the tarte citron was good but it was very very hard to cut and too cold almost frozen. Very different to others with good flavor but the experience eating it was not wow.

Even though I went there alone in a busy lunch, they still set up a table for me. The staffs can speak English so it’s a relief for me, they are also very elegant and professional. The food is super delicious, and have lunch option which is about 14 euro. I choose the set menu offered by the resto instead because I wanted to taste the fois gras and it’s worth! They serve super fast, and although the resto have many customers the atmosphere is still warm and cozy and a bit romantic with candles here and there. A truly French restaurant!
