Came here to learn more about the different tribes and cultures of Kenya. First watched the traditional dance show and then went for a walk to see the different homesteads. It was a great experience.

Culture and dance says quite a lot. We were entertained and educated at the same time. A must for everyone visiting Kenya.

Really interesting place to see the different ways that the 47 tribes of Kenya survive. The Kenyan dancing in the auditorium is particularly good, and the restaurant on site has loads of local Kenyan food options

The history of how Africans lived is not well portrayed. Don’t go thinking that what you saw is exactly how the tribes lived. The place needs to find more innovative shows/activities/ to exhibit. The old dances, acrobats and huts is becoming boring It looks like the management is not keen on improving the state of Bomas. The place occupies a large piece of land for a few huts and some dances in the auditorium.

What an incredible experience learning about Kenya’s history, culture and dance! Amazingly talented actors and dancers. Highly recommended!

Had an amazing time watching their cultural shows and seeing different performances that showcased the diversity of Kenyan culture Their Bomas(villages) were also interesting and fun to visit. They also have a 'masaai market' that is quite affordable. One of the vendors at the market invited us to play some of the traditional music instruments he was selling and that was quite fun!!

We had the most amazing experience at Bomas of Kenya. We saw a culture show where they had several Kenyan tribes perform dance, singing, and music program. We were able to eat authentic vegetarian Kenyan food at their restaurant. Seeing all the various types of villages of their tribes was also a unique experience. In addition, we were able to purchase some traditional Kenyan ornaments, jewelry, and clothing from the tribal people's stalls over there.

My first visit to this place despite being a Kenyan lol. The entertainment arena was just out of the world. Some good change from all the normal malls and outings. Pictures being posted. Check it out.

A good place to visit over the weekend. It's neatly tucked away from the hubbub of the city with little noise. Throughout the place, you can catch sight of monkeys, birds, and even warthogs.

Pros - Beautifully kept original housing structures of various tribes. Great for photos & mindful touring. - show was very nice! Great dancers. - restaurant was delicious Cons - lots of school trips at the show & grounds. Was very distracting & overcrowded.

The park will surely present a pleasant experience if you know when to go. It is advisable to first inquire on when the best time to visit the park is as the main attraction of animals such as lions can be hard to find at times. Lastly I would highly recommend a guide as they know where certain animals can be found and crucially when.

Conveniently located Right in the heart of the city. So for those of you visiting Nairobi for a short period, this is the park you need to visit. Check migration dates etc before you venture out so that you aren’t disappointed. I was quite intrigued but he ivory graveyard and the governments efforts to curb poaching by. Truly commendable. Was so happy to see two lions as well. Thankfully they had just eaten, so were resting and we got a fairly close up shot of them. You definitely need a local guide/driver to take you in or else you’d be happy hire lost. Yes it’s a trifle expensive for non-residents

This is definitely a national treasure and should be on the world map! It was an amazing experience! We set out early early and apparently that’s the best time. We saw lions, zebras, buffalos, a giraffe , antelopes and even almost caught a hunt by some lions. Our driver was super amazing and really helpful. That really added to making it super pleasant

It took 3-4 hrs to see the national park and animal orphanage. A wild animal habitat next to the modernized Nairobi. We couldn't see lions, but other animals were easy to spotted. Great place to visit next to the city and so relaxing and appreciate the nature.

If you have a bit of time to spare, visit this park! The number of animals you can see here is astonishing considering how close it is to the city. We took a half day tour and found all of the animals we were hoping to see. Lions, black and white rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, impala, eland, masai giraffe and much more. I also counted over 50 different species of birds including white-backed vulture and secretary bird. Two species I hoped to see.

Definitely not the most picturesque park in Kenya, but a great option very close to the city. Your best opportunity to see rhinoceros as they can be very hard to spot in the other national parks. The park is a nice introduction to Safari.

Lovely! We decided to treat the kids to a breakfast picnic at the park, followed by a self-drive game drive. The park roads have been freshly graded since our last visit so the drive was much more enjoyable. The animals were also quite in plenty. Best time though is early morning or late afternoon when most predators are out and about. We are planning another one soon... #TembeaKenya

This time was the first time to go safari and it was so good. I’ve been there at the morning so could see the most beautiful sunrise I’ve ever seen. Also, there were so many kind of animals in there than o expected so I was so excited and could have fan. I highly recommend this safari

I visited this park in September, 2915. I still have a lot of pictures. Just wanted to share with you guys. This safari is about 100+ square kilometers. Tremendous amount of wild live. Need to spend a whole day there. Make sure your car/truck does not breakdown inside the park. It is scary to have that thought cross your mind. Definitely recommended.

This experience is perfect for all ages! The giraffes are so kind and very humorous. You will enjoy getting slimy warm tongues all over your hand, and the giraffes love posing for pictures! I would totally recommend this excursion.

What wonderfulness this place is to teach and learn about these gracefully stunning animals. They had ten fine Giraffes who all seemed very happy to munch half a coconuts feed from our hands. Breeding and maintaining a small herd in great facilities. Lovely shop too full of things, including one of the best chess sets I've ever seen. Come here and get up close to some charming gentle giants. Look out for the warthogs, too! If you are into sustainable biodiversity and conservation, then you must visit.

Great experience interacting with Giraffes at the centre. Feed pellets are provided at the entrance so as to lure the Giraffes close to you for great photos. The guides also provide insightful talks on these magnificent animals.

Loved the fact that there are guides present at all times because people tend to push limits with animals, the centre has well marked systems in place from entrance to exit and are very well organized. The giraffes are magestic and can be friendly once they warm up to you, you can also spot warthogs below I enjoyed my visit. Will definitely pay them a visit again.

It was a nice experience to feed the giraffes at the Giraffe Centre. However, the experience was just about a few minutes long. They had a place where they gave us some history about the place. Also, what I liked is they had several places where we could wash our hands with soap, making the experience very hygienic too.

We came excited to feed and take photos with the giraffes. It was fun to feed them and take photos. A must see for kids and adults who love giraffes. There were baby giraffes too ! It doesn’t take more than half an hour to go through the park. There is a museum section that you can learn about the history of giraffe center. There is another raised boardwalk section that you can feed giraffes and take photos. The area has lots of security, is clean and well maintained. There is also a small stand to have food and drink when you are done. Multiple wash stations are available to wash your hands. There could be more improvements in terms of maybe having more activities for kids. Maybe a section to have a giraffe centered playground. As we were leaving we saw a trail that was open to the public across the center and we went it for about five minutes. We didn’t complete the trail though. We didn’t know how long it would take and there were no signs describing how long it would take.

It's a nice place. For Non Kenyan residents, the entry fees is 696 Kenyan Shillings. At the entrance, they use to provide food of Giraffes in a coconut shell which we need to feed to Giraffes with our Hands. You can click pictures with Giraffes. It is really a fun place.

A lovely place to visit while in Nairobi. The place is family friendly and has ample parking space. They also have a restaurant and a small gift shop. Being a giraffe centre one can also learn about the various giraffe species, take pictures with the giraffe and feed them. Please make sure to also get a kiss with a giraffe while there. Highly recommend the place for a day visit.

This is a nice place located at the edge of the Nairobi. The place is a bit far and it takes around 40 minutes to get there. The place has a display of the history of the centre and has some exhibits. There are also large jigsaws of giraffes for young explorers. The main activity is to feed the giraffes. The place takes care of hygiene of animals and humans alike. 30-45 minutes is the recommended time to stay. There is also a small restaurant and a souvenir shop here. Recommended to visit

It's fun to go for a while to see the giraffes and be able to feed them. They close at 5:00 p.m. it is better to go in the morning because the giraffes are hungrier even though they eat all day. the place is next to the giraffe hotel. the tickets are purchased in the same place before you enter

A great experience for the family, feeding the giraffes up on a walkway so you are right up at their height. Probably only an hours activity, would definitely recommend.

One of the best ways to spend a day in nairobi. Was a pleasant surprise. We were there for 3.5hours but it still felt rushed. We had an awesome time. Its clean, modern and oh so rich. There’s culture, history, an aquarium, a snake/reptile park, a nature walk and a cafe. You have an option to take a guide (a must for our next visit). The staff all around are excellent and the charges extremely reasonable. Was pleasantly surprised at how many people were visiting. My personal favorites were the snake park and the banking history. Very wide variety of snakes.

Worth your time and money. Artifacts are well kept and maintained. A lot to learn about the history of Kenya. But the museum should come up with rules to regulate the school going children from making too much noise and jumping all over. Would advise going on a weekend or when the school's are closed.

The place to go if you wanna discover more about the history of Kenya and some of the animals within. The snake park too is an awesome place to visit, especially if you wanna unlearn some myths about snakes. There's beautiful aquarius with beautiful fish too...

I very much enjoyed visiting Nairobi National Museum and the Snake Park. I was amazed by the African bird exhibit and the literally thousands of birds they had on display. A wealth of information for African wildlife fans. The central back and currency section was fascinating also. I hadn't realized how much foreign influence there was in Kenya and their banking system. The snake park was interesting and lots of variety of venomous and non-venomous snakes on display. The red spitting cobra seemed the most interested in us and say upright most of the time we were near that display. Also several turtles and crocodiles on display. The only thing I felt disappointed with was the much bigger cost for non-residents. It's common here in Kenya, but the difference for citizens and non-residents is steep. But not so much as the national parks here. 🤣

The place is fun being around but I'd advice tourists who are non citizens to get a citizen to buy them tickets as they use e-citizen app. It's a nice place to learn about the early government and our Kenyan history .

A very rich history of Kenya and well labelled items. Even without a guide you are able to read and follow all that is placed in there. It's clean and habitable and well maintained

The museum was a great experience (especially on a raining day in Nairobi). Our residence permits for us into the museum and snake park for 600. Museum offered a wide range of history and artwork representing Kenya’s culture, wildlife and political history. The snake park was a great addition where you can see reptiles and tropical fish. For the fullest experience I would allocate 1-2 hours for the museum and 30-60 minutes for snake park. Great for all ages and very family friendly with helpful staff and tour guide options.

Despite visiting on a Saturday which is one of their busy days still felt very comfortable as it is quite big and spacious so ddnt feel crowded at all in most of the sections. Spent about an hr and a half (which was definitely worth it). Lots to see and is very family friendly

Good to see but the guides could be better. They volunteer for tips so felt like my guide just rushed me through so I'd learn more by reading on my own. Still there are interesting things to see and definitely should be on your museum list.

I wasn't sure how good an experience the museum would be. But I really liked it. Especially because we got a free guide to take us around and explain to us the animal, humankind, and Kenyan history. I learned a lot about Kenya during this museum visit. We tipped the guide for his volunteer service.

Nice place to visit for an afternoon. The museum has exhibits from east Africa's rail history. Outside are various locomotive engines and some passenger cars. They do need to be maintained better, especially the passenger cars. Nobody minds if one enters the locomotive, it's great fun!

The Kenya Railway Museum is an awesome and very informative place to visit, and at only 200/-... Affordable. It has a history bit where train models as well as furniture and accessories used during the colonial era are placed. There is also a guide on hand to offer information. The train "relics" that are outside are marvels to say the least, and massive. There is also an art shop where one can purchase or request for customized art pieces. Make a point of visiting it, and marvel at Kenya's rail history.

The Kenya Railways Museum is where art meets history. There's a lot to see and to learn as you go about your tour. The ambience is historic, clean and great to walk in the footsteps of those who came before us. It's a great place for a solo date and spending time with Kenyan history. There's great set options for railway themed photoshoots. You've got to love it.

What an amazing place if you are a railway aficionado! Extremely well maintained. The locomotives and heritage coaches take you to a totally different world. Alas their gift shop did not have anything worthwhile except from Tshirts and caps. Full marks to Kenyan Railways for ensuring that this place continues to be well maintained and tourist friendly.

Entry is 200bob for an adult Kenyan Resident. It's easier to access it through shell petrol station, however you can access the place through technical university of Kenya, quite a nice walk (in my opinion).

Superb place to be for a meat galore buffet experience! Staffs were really friendly and nice. They explain to you which dip to use for the meat carvings or portions they serve you. For desserts u can choose one of it from the menu. Meats are totally yummy! Love the roasted beef the best. Highly recommended!

Visited Carnivore as a treat for visiting family and it did not disappoint! You simply cannot leave hungry, the Buffet begins in the evening 6pm. The food was absolutely mouthwatering as always, tender cuts of meat slow roasted perfectly, yummy soup and salad to entice the tastebuds, wonderful sauce pairings with each protein and friendly, attentive staff. If you have a large party, I recommend making a reservation. My only complaint was that our table was set so close to 2 other neighboring tables, conversation was difficult/uncomfortable. Still HIGHLY recommend!!!

An unforgettable carnivorous experience! The Carnivore restaurant in Nairobi truly lives up to its name. The ambiance was delightful, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The highlight was undoubtedly the succulent meat selection - tender, flavorful, and expertly cooked. From the exotic game meats to the classic cuts, each dish was a gastronomic delight. The attentive staff and excellent service added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. A must-visit for any meat lover visiting Nairobi.

📝 Well-known and touristic meat-centered restaurant in Nairobi with almost European prices. The place is cute and recommended. 🍴 Food was good. The menu was fixed for a fix price: we got an entree, a soup and then all sorts of meat that kept coming to the table and got cut directly onto our plates. For each meat type they usually suggested a specific sauce (out of 6) to combine it with, although we could really do as we liked. The meat was available in multiple rounds until we were full and satisfied. Dessert was also included at the end. Coffee was good. 📍 The restaurant is huge, has a lot of green everywhere and the local music during our lunch gave it really a pleasant vibe. However, do note that 90% of the guests were western tourists. It's very central in town and can be easily reached by car from one of the city's airports. ☝🏼 My only negative comment is that the waiters spilled multiple times water, drinks or small pieces of the meat on the table, which wasn't cleaned straight away and remained partially dirty for a while. Apart from that, everybody was polite to us.

This place was fun and inviting from the moment we stepped out of the Uber. We were greeted with such excitement and enthusiasm. Walking into the restaurant we felt safe as the staff was covid aware by taking temperature and providing hand sanitizer to all. When entering the ambiance, staff energy and overall environment was unforgettable. From the beautiful outdoor dining and monkey sighting. Additionally as someone who follows a gluten free diet I felt heard and accommodated by Evans Kyalo. He spoke to me directly and checked in periodically. Thank you, Kyalo! I thoroughly recommend this restaurant, the food and the overall experience!

Nice experience to spend a night tasting a variety of meat in Kenya the heart of wild creatures! Especially it was my first time to try Crocodile meat and it was tasty. They had salad and soup as an appetizer and a variety of sauces and dessert included. Don’t forget to try Dawa:)

Recommended for 1 visit carnivore is like Brazilian style restaurant 1 menu start with soup and after that you have a lot of weird 🍖 🥓 meat's like camel crocodile 🐊 and chicken turkey beef and more that is open they will always serve until you down the flag you have in the table you can skip on pork meat and order with green flag its halal meet i think 🤔, But service is slow sometimes you have vegan options but its taking time to cook monkeys all around the restaurant be aware they will steal your food 😊, Its a lil bit expensive comparing to other restaurants in Nairobi, But lovely visit overall. Recommended.

The restaurant is amazing and the wait staff always ready to help The meals are amazing . They gave a fixed menu of the day which have a variety. They start with soup of the day, meat of all kind including ostrich and crocodile. You eat as much as you can until you surrender and put the flag down. James, a wait staff was really helpful and organized a surprise for my friend who had a birthday. Would highly recommend and definitely go back again. Did I mention they have a variety of drinks and good in cocktail? Don't forget to have the old fashion cocktail 🍸🍹

Had a breakfast date and it was great. Not a very huge variety of breakfast items but you will find something to enjoy. Service is quick. If you love the outdoors, then with this space, you have arrived! I have also been here for lunch and enjoyed. It is best one makes an advance reservation otherwise you may not get a table, especially lunch and dinner times.

A really lovely find, very atmospheric restaurant in Nairobi. Definitely would recommend a visit. Lots of exciting menu choices, the steak was superb. Nice puddings and decent wine menu. The staff were lovely and really helpful. Definitely ask for a frog with coals in its mouth if you are getting cold in the outdoor seating!

If you have the opportunity and time, make sure that when you in Nairobi that you go and eat at the Talisman. The place's layout, furniture and intricate woodwork on the window frames, windows and doors are really stunning! Their food is really well prepared and very tasty. If you love spicy and HOT🔥🔥🔥chicken wings, you must try their Talisman chicken wings. Really tasteful. Their steak was done as requested and the sides was done to perfection.

The food is so fresh(they have their own farm within the same property where they get their vegetables) and the ambience is amazing. They take a very short time to deliver the food and the hosts are very warm and keen to ensure you have an amazing experience. No background music so it is a place to have conversations without interruptions. The parking lot is not so spacious.

Has a lot of plants and the setup makes you feel as though you are out of the city. The food was relatively good. Close to a nursery where you can purchase flowers and plants. We went here for lunch without reservations, but I would recommend making a reservation before going if you want the best table.

The highlight for me was the food. The salad was very fresh and the food was tasty. It also didn't take long after ordering despite the place being almost at full capacity. Service was very good. The server kept tabs on us and ensured we were okay. It's best to make a reservation to get good seats outside, the spots seem popular. The place has lots of trees and greenery, expect to see many insects like bees and caterpillars around you! They were quite harmless though unless you are skittish. Overall, a nice place for lunch, dinner or a group meeting.

We spent the whole afternoon here, forgetting about time completely. The food was fresh and delicious, chosen from a menu with a wide variety. I was surprised at how low the bill was, considering the stunning surroundings and delicious food. I'll definitely be recommending the coffee garden to all my friends. Clean and nice. Place to be! If you wanna try ostrich, crocodile, turkey…. Meal-types have their paradise there. The service is professional and friendly. You can’t regret coming there and spending your money. And mostly, it’s an affordable place.

I called few day ago to book and the lady was very kind. We kept changing the time and they were very flexible. They have enough feeding chair that they even change to a clean one in between the service. The team there was fantastic and Simon the manager was always present and give nice suggestions. My twins were very excited and ate well dispite being 11 months. The meat selection was tasty and a lot. The salad station was massive as well as the dessert station The restaurant is located infront of a busy bus stop and parking is limited . Best for drop off and pickup. Toilets very clean and there is a baby changing room with toilet.

Amazing 🤩 service from the well trained staff, a steakhouse full of fun and great taste. I loved the buffet and the salads, mouth watering steaks and more so a roasted pineapple 🍍, it’s a good place for family. The management kindly get rid of the mosquitoes 🦟 that are a menace at the place.

Meat heaven!! I had so much meat! The salads are amongst the best I've had. Then came Brian, our server, ah! Very professional and kind. All the servers were also super nice, especially after the bad customer service we received earlier(from a different restaurant), this was such a breath of fresh air! The price was also affordable. This is a Brazilian style all you can eat meat buffet, but it fell a bit short it the quality of food and service. When we first arrived it was relatively empty so the staff was very attentive. But it soon filled up and then you could tell that they were not well organized and the service suffered tremendously. They have a traditional buffet with appetizers, salads, desserts and other items which was alright. Then they offer 17 different “meats”, and of 14 that I tried only two were really tasty. Most of them were too bland for my taste and didn’t entice you to go for more. Getting the bill became an adventure but eventually we did. If you consider eating a lot to mean good food, then this is the place for you. But if you are looking for quality and great taste, this is overpriced and not worth it.

Great place to hang out with family spotlessly clean, ample parking variety of dishes, extremely friendly staff, fast services ,you Don't get to wait for long after you order, variety of baked foods, desert foods, quiet environment. I loved my experience there.

The restaurant itself is very beautiful. The view is one of the best I’ve seen in Nairobi. I went solo so I did notice the difference in service between myself and the other guest who were with parties of 2 or more. The food was just okay but the presentation was nice. I ordered red wine and got a glass of white wine instead so apparently the waitress wasn’t listening to my request. I won’t be back but I’m glad I went once.

Truly, this place is epic. It was so good we went twice in 3 days. Particularly outstanding are the lamb dumplings and the yuzu ball — both basically approach the quality of the finest restaurants in the world. The mains and drinks were solid but not as superlative — while the samurai verse was an excellent drink, the pisco sours were middling. The atmosphere was first-class and service was excellent.

The food and atmosphere is great. You get to eat and see the Nairobi view which is really nice. There is a business casual dress code so be prepared to dress accordingly or they won’t permit you entry. The ambiance and service is good too. Great place to sit relax and unwind catch up on conversations and have a great time. I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for a high end restaurant feel.

The menu options have reduced therefore it was hard picking a meal. I loved the pork belly my favourite. My friends ordered the chicken it was so blunt not good at all. The ambiance is amazing and so is the view. Always good to book a table in advance especially over the weekends it gets really full. Service is good.

Fantastic little gem. The sushi was probably the best sushi I have had in my life. The cocktails were amazing. I will have to come back just for the sushi. Try and be here before sunset in order to get some great pics of the Nairobi skyline.

Great service, food was worth every bite and the atmosphere was cosy and picture worthy. A great restaurant for a date night out. The waitress Catherine, if I'm not mistaken, was pleasant and took care of everything to ensure it was a comfortable experience for us.

Really stylish restaurant on the 20th floor of a new high rise. Very tasteful interior design paired with a great view and cool music. Tasty and nicely presented food, even though the sushi rice lacked in flavor. -1Star: Despite having reservation, our table was not cleaned, nor cleared of the previous party when we arrived late. My drink came fairly quick, however my girlfriends drink took about 25min longer, making us sit around for almost 40min until we both were served...

Great resturant! The ambiance was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that created a cozy atmosphere, beside the amazing view from the 20th floor. The staff were attentive and friendly and provided excellent service throughout the meal. The menu offered quite variety of options, catering to various plates. We ordered crispy Ebi, spring rolls, Duck confit and sea food risotto and it exceeded our expectations. One thing I missed though is the non-alcoholic options for beers or wine. Highly recommended

Wonderful restaurant at the top of Nairobi with a 360 view. Outstanding menu with excellent fresh sushi and skewers. Tasty drinks. Dress code. Reservations a good idea.
