This park is fabulous! Clean and well maintained! Everyone that worked there was very friendly. You will not be disappointed! tucked away in the woods with a very short walk to the beach right from your campsite. We walked to the beach every morning to watch the sunrise & look for sea shells, our boys and my dad fished the pier everyday, They had a blast! I have teen boys so they loved the pier fishing & they love disc golfing, They really enjoyed playing the course that is located right by the state park. We are already planning our next trip! ❤️

Totally worth it! I’m sure we only had them to explore a small portion of the park, but man was it worth it!!!! They also allow you to come back same days once you’d paid. I love that they allow dogs (we took her to beach after 5pm) and omg it was so much fun. This beach is a lot quieter than most down by the hotels. It feels cleaner too. We loved the pier and little boardwalks. Took a quick trail too which was super scenic. Overall, beautiful experience.

This is great campground with a variety of sites to choose from. Easy access to the beach from the campground via walking or drive your car up to the campground parking lot next to the campground beach access to shave off a minute or two of the 5min walk. Camp store was well stocked. 7lb bags of ice were $3. Bundles of wood were $9something. A little high! The main bathhouse next to the camp store was fairly clean. My only complaint was the very low water pressure, especially if others are showering or a lot of people are coming in and out using the restroom/washing hands. The nature center area was cute! All the employees we encountered around the campground were pleasant and helpful! The noise of the planes flying over wasn't an issue at all and we were tent camping on site 169 & 171, which are the closest sites to the planes flying overhead. It was neat to see them from the beach too.

Great campground! We were at site 25 and we loved it. Very level and plenty of room. This was our second trip but Lord willing, not our last.

I gotta admit the South Carolina State Park at Myrtle Beach was better than I expected. We were on a sandy campsite, but compared to the commercial campgrounds nearby it was big and relatively private. Also they have lots of shower/bathroom/laundry facilities, more than I've seen at any other campground and more than is shown on the website. The interior roads were paved and the almost all of the campsites pretty big, but are sand/dirt. They also have a nice camp store, nature center/trails and of course a GREAT beach with free fishing pier. If you forget any 'beachy' stuff there's another gift shop as you walk into the pier. Of course the best thing for me was the price and at $70/night it was about half the cost of the other campgrounds nearby.

We camped in the overflow camp ground. It was much more secluded than the main camp. Even though the sites were very close together, it felt much more like camping. The walking distance from the beach being so short made the closeness worth it. I have to drop one star because I didn't expect how many roaches I would encounter. I'm also not a local, so I would not have expected seeing some so big. A very well-fed raccoon also lives in the park. I saw many adorable creatures on my visit, but just a warning that it's not afraid of getting close. Other than that it is a very well maintained park, all staff are friendly, and there are tons of things to do.

The park is beautiful and well equipped for our 15ft teardrop camper. The camp sites are big and clean. Close access to the beach and the weather in January is perfect! Only negative thing is the jets flying in and out of the near by airport. If you are a lite sleeper think twice. My husband and I didn't mind it much just reminded us of thunder. Over all great place.

The beach, pier, and picnic facilities are unmatched! Better than at any resort I have stayed. If I scored it based on the campsites, it would be 3 stars. Small, close sites.... but the rest of the park more than made up for that. 3-5 minute walk to the beach from any site. AMAZING picnic shelters and walkways between beach access points. We will return.

PROS: For families it's great, fantastic beach access to one of the world's best beaches, loops of campground roads to ride bikes, playgrounds, Interpretive programs, game areas, laundry, store, close to main drag and all MB has to offer... action packed! Fairly quiet after 9:30 pm. Staff are efficient, friendly and genuine. CONS:The first plane took off at 5:20 this a.m. directly overhead. The restroom floors are a muddy slippery mess all day (there are fans/ac units but not operating). Showers in 2023 need LOCKABLE doors. Biking in park is taking your life in your hands because of fast cars and narrow roads. If you like real nature and space this isn't really your campground!

Place is beautiful no doubt about it. Problem is the very limited information that it can be found on line in regards to the pier. I called asking prices to fish in the pier and was told $8 per adult and $3 for kids (5 to 3). I was ok with that until we came to the park and charged us $8 per adult just to enter and park and another $8 to fish!! About 60 bucks later we’re fishing in a pretty old pier with little to no shade. You must enter through the store who will nickel and dime you for everything! Didn’t even provide of any rule book to follow with bag limits and sizes. Were to to download generic app to get that info. Since was over 94 degree, we ran of water super fast and the only water available was to be bought. You can find cheaper places elsewhere and just as pretty

Love it. $8.00 per person to get in however you can use the pass the same day to also enter Huntington Park. There was plenty of parking, clean restrooms with running water, flush toilets and changing rooms. There was also a gift shop. There was also an outside shower to was the sand off.

7 Attractions Closed and Very Busy. Overall my kids had fun but there were too many things closed today. The lines were long. They need to let in less people if they are closing 7 rides. If you are using a Groupon be prepared to pay the taxes before they will accept the Groupon which is not disclosed when buying the Groupon.

This is a really nice place, my family and I loved it. It's a must see attraction if you are in Myrtle Beach. We went during the week, and it made it even better as there was no real wait for anything. If you are anything like me, the wave pool is a good alternative for going to the beach. We could ride the lazy river all day. I loved that the parking was free. Check Groupon and sites alike to see if there is a discount on tickets. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in South Carolina

Very nice place for families with children. The kids had a great time, I would recommend this facility to others and will return! Pros: 1.Lots of activities for children of all ages. 2. Park is clean 3. Many lifeguards at every pool. Cons: 1. Several rides were closed. 2. Extremely young staff and many of them lack customer service skills and manners. We had an issue with an attendant at the funnel cake booth with the young lady who was just plain rude. The supervisor Lesia? came over and spoke to us regarding the experience, she was very polite, had excellent customer service skills and was very eager to resolve the situation. I get it, we are recovering from a pandemic and most places here at the beach have been forced to hire very young teens to work these jobs. At least these young people are out working….most of the adults are still sitting at home. Hopefully they will learn a thing or two about working and what’s expected of them.

Great fun place for a family outing. The rides and activities are good, though I find the seating very less so it is inconvenient to find a spot. They have too little chairs so we had to settle on a picnic table. The food is typical water park food.. really nothing for vegetarian people.

Nice. Staff is very kind and life guards are everywhere so parents feel safe letting slightly older kids go free. Clean. Italian ice is very good. Ample chairs. You need to think local; this is not on the scale of Volcano Bay or Carowinds or Busch Gardens. Showing its age in places, but the bottom line is that my kids had a blast- and that's all that matters!

I went to Myrtle Waves most recently on June 6, 2021, and as usual my 4-year-old daughter had a blast, per usual. Reviewing this park strictly from a parents’ point of view, I think Myrtle Waves is the perfect way to spend the day from an entertainment and value standpoint. From the lazy river to the kiddie pool to the kiddie slides to the wave pool, there is plenty for toddlers to enjoy. Food options are decent and thankfully there is beer :) I think to maximize the value of admission you should plan to spend most of the day there but once you arrive I feel like you won’t want to do anything else. Enjoy the sun, blue waters, and Carolina vibe.

The family really enjoyed themselves. The park was extremely spacious with tons of age appropriate water stations. Even though it rained and there was lightning, we didn't have a lot of time. But we did get rain tickets so that was a plus. One thing that this place should offer is a price for parents that attend for supervision with no intentions on getting in the water like myself.

What a super fun experience!!! Best water slides and tube rides I have ever experienced! Comparable to Bush Gardens water country, they have such a great selection of fun for all ages! If you can afford it, I highly suggest getting a cabana for the day, and is best if you buy in advance. By the time we arrived they were sold out, but luckily we had reserved the night before. The kids, my husband, and I all had a blast! My only complaint is there is a lot of concrete to walk on and to wait in line on. I wish they had the rubber slip proof mats I’ve seen at quite a few other water attractions. It makes it much easier on the joints walking to and fro. I did slip in a few spots, where the concrete is painted. Just thankful I didn’t fall. Otherwise, was worth the money!!! We made some. Wonderful memories. Beware of the Rockin Ray! That slide scared the life out of me!!! Hahahaha

Two of our favorite slides were closed with no info at the front check in. We were told they would open at 12. They never opened and no one knew why after multiple times asking lifeguards and supervisors. The drop slide did not open until approx 2pm. Two other adult slides were down for the day with no explanation. We have gone before and have really enjoyed our time. This experience was below par. Our family planned to come multiple times a year (and even wanted to discuss season passes) For our family of 4 we paid $193.46. Plus food for the kids and a locker we were over $260. They closed the park for thunder at 4:03 today. They didn't close technically on the website until 6pm, and we planned to stay until 6pm. When I went in to speak to guest services about a rain check. The manager Barbara asked when we arrived. I told her 11:30 and her response was "You have been here all day. What do you want?". I did not respond even though I felt her response was innapropriate. All day for us is when it closes at 6pm. I guess that Barbara does not know that when we bought the ticket we wanted to stay in the park all day. Two hours does not sound like much to some, but 20% of our paid time was closed due to circumstances out of our control. There are so many options in Myrtle Beach and we will not be back. I would suggest other options for those reading this.

Awesome place. Impressed about how fast can you go in the big toboggan. I loved the orange! Also the the shaped was a thrill. The waves pool nice. It stop several times

I have never been to a water park like this in my entire life!!! It brought out the kid in me. This water park was so clean and was full of fun. They have an assortment of slides and pools creating an environment for everyone. Personally, the Arooba Tuba, Halfpipe, and lazy river were my favorites of the day. It is a little pricey to visit - but my group found a great deal on Groupon (2 for 1!) if you can’t find that deal, they do offer a discount from 2-5 PM. Only downside is they close so early. I think they should be open a bit longer to get your full monies worth.

This place was awesome. Now I'm not saying it didn't cost money but if a resident of South Carolina buys your wristbands they can get up to 4 for half price. There are some rides that cost money but they are fairly priced in my opinion. We all had an amazing time. Place was busy but lines were not that bad. I also want to emphasize how amazing all the employees there were. So polite and helpful. When the park closed at 11:30 the young man in charge of 1 of the rides stayed late to let everyone in line ride that had been waiting. My 63 year old mother in-law had fun. I'm 41 and my wife is 33. We had fun. Kids 8 and 5 had a blast. We also got an " old time " photo there and it turned out awesome.

Great mini amusement park. A feature of the Myrtle Beach strip north of the boardwalk. There's no entry fee, you just buy credits for rides and pay cash for food and games. And a river or something runs through it!

Great place for the family. I had my doubts, I'm not usually a carnival person but the kids loved it and the variety of rides was great. There is alot for kids 30 inches to do alone and with an adult and if course a lot kids up from there. Not a ton of food but just enough. Price felt fair and the staff was all very friendly. There's also a 2nd day discount (see pic). Worth going if you have a few hours.

Took my daughter (3 years old in a month) here our last night of vacation! The wristbands are $33, but was totally worth every penny seeing her the very first ride, and how happy/excited she was!! They had so many rides for her it was wonderful! Great place for smaller/younger kids! A few of the rides required an adult to ride with your child, but if they were, you rode most for free without having to give them tickets!! So don't go and buy more tickets for yourself unless you plan on riding bigger rides that the kids can't. Be aware that they offer no refunds or rainchecks..Watch out! They sell parking for $20, but if you drive 100 ft down from there it's only $10!! Also, the lines are horrible at 8pm so I suggest going before (or after) then.

Excellent destination for the family specially if you have kids only one thing I didn't expect a lot of big roaches outside in the street or wall 🤢😵‍💫😫 otherwise we enjoyed our vacation there and the beach was cool with some big waves 😎

Iconic landmark must visit place while in Myrtle Beach! You will not be disappointed. There are rides for people of all ages.....elementary school aged and up. Rides, games, and typical carnival/fair type food. You can spend an entire evening there which we did. The swamp fox coaster is awesome! An old school wood coaster that is a blast. The ferris wheel gives GREAT views. The Hurricane is another iconic must ride. I used to go here every time I came to Myrtle, which was often, when in my teens, 20s. Loved it then, love it still. The place is a must for beach vacation fun memories. I took my young sons during this visit to get them hooked on this place and it was a success. Ticket and food prices are not too expensive either. One suggestion....get there when it first opens to be the crowds and hit as many rides as you can before lines get long. Then later in the evening or night you've done them and don't mind the lines to ride again. The lines go smooth but there is expected average wait times. The place overall is very well run and everything is very well maintained. Friendly staff who know what they're doing and how to handle the crowds. They run a tight ship. I tell everyone I know who goes to Myrtle for the 1st time to visit this place, and they come back very happy. I hope you all reading this review will too. Enjoy!

We had a good time. If you're going to ride all the rides it's better to get the wristband for $32. If you have a family of 4 then it's cheaper to get the family 4 pack for $115. We had 4 kids that age ranged from 17, 13, 11, 7. They had rides for all ages. Some of the rides don't take the wristbands but for as many rides as they had it was worth the price. They had a good amount of cash games as well as food vendors. We were there from 830pm to 11pm. It was not as crowded so we were able to enjoy almost all of the rides. The price for food and beverages were a bit high. That's the only thing I would complain about. Other than that it was a good time, money well spent on the rides, and memories that were made. which is priceless.

Went with family and a little one, so many rides for kids, she had a blast. Place was crowded but we didn't even wait to get on the rides. Their funnel cakes are delicious. So many things to do. We had sooo much fun. We're definitely visiting again.

Our family had a great time ,we rode everything 😊 Myself and my angel son Leigh rode the roller coaster, that's my first time ever , however growing up as a child at Myrtle Beach all the time as my step dad and uncle Mike worked on the motels that we're damaged during a tornado or hurricane/ plus sprinkler systems etc we my brother sister and I always got to go to the beach ,as I grew up had kids of mine own we kept the tradition of beach /shopping/eating Amazing seafood and early morning breakfast....2023 David,Lori ,Heath and David Jr cranes beach trip

Been coming here for years. Cannot say anything bad about the park besides they close at 10 oclock sometimes without warning. This was a great place to bring the family for an evening. However this year your prices have more than doubled and im sorry to say its not worth the money anymore. I can understand an increase in pricing because of inflation and all but over 50% price increase is way to much. 50 dollars for a wristband now. No thanks. Your not carowinds, 6 flags, or kings island. You have a very small amusement park. I hate to wish any bad luck here but i hope people starts sticking together and choose to walk on by these greedy businesses..

WonderWorks is a science focused indoor amusement park that combines education and entertainment. They have over 100 hands-on exhibits. You can feel 84mph hurricane–force winds, make huge, life–sized bubbles in the Bubble Lab, do Astronaut Training and experience zero gravity. You can even lay on a Bed of Nails. This place is awesome!

Great family fun. A bit over priced if you aren't planning to partake in the different rides, rope course and laser tag. A ticket option minus these items would be great. Thankfully, we had a $7 off each ticket coupon from a coupon book provided by our resort. So it was more appropriately priced for what we wanted to do.

There is something for everyone here .. Kids, teens, adults! You will easily spend 3-4 hours exploring different fun activities. Adults & teens can enjoy gravity rotation, Extreme 360 and rope climbing. I enjoyed all these. Kids Lots of other fun, game & science activities for kids. My toddlers had super fun. Some info - You can also book tickets online There is cafeteria with burgers, pizza and stuff if you want to munch on something during your time there. Keep some $1 bills handy for pick a toy machines. Game consoles allow card swipes which is extra from tickets Parking is free, right address the building

4 levels of pure adventure lots of interactive activities for the whole family. It is better it you have older children about 5-6 and up because some of the activities do have height requirements but they is tons of things to do for anyone. You could easy spend 2-4 hours here if you do everything. Lots and lots of fun.

Really like the place 3D movies, lots of exhibits, bed of nails, arcade machines, zip lines, and much more. Entry tunnel is kind of scary more when you have a stroller with you. Personally, I got so dizzy and just decided to get into the regular entry. It was hard to find activities for small kids 2-4 years old. I find it perfect for kids 5+, teens or even adults.

Definitely a ton of fun for the whole family! We had ages 6 mo- 9years and they all were fully amused for hours! The indoor ropes course is awesome because we came on a chilly, gloomy, and super windy day! Alot of things to read and learn! Pretty awesome place!

Took our 3 young granddaughters here for a few hours. Well worth the trip but plan on a whole day here. So many things to do and experiment with. Nice gift shop and food court. Everybody had a blast. Will definitely return!

The kids loved it, a unique blend of learning and entertainment. They also have a cool ropes course. Price seems fair roughly $32 a person for 13 and older $ 26 for 12 and younger. You can get $2 off a person with a coupon from the South Carolina welcome center. Great for a rainy day when going to the beach just isn't an option.

This place was SUPER SUPER FUN and I'm an adult lol. The kids enjoyed themselves also. So much stuff to do here and I would love to go back again. Tickets for adults(13&up, I'm sure) was $31.99. I think it is worth it. It pays for everything but souvenirs, snacks and some of the arcade games. Other than that, it has everything included.

We brought our visiting son, his wife and their five children here. We had $2 off coupons. I mistakenly thought it might be a tourist trap but it was actually a lot of fun!! There are 4 floors of rides, games and education. There was something for all of them to do. We were there for 3 hours and could have stayed longer. Yup great time!

Very cool place!! Inside the house there are a lot of things to do... Great for kids and for adults' inner child.. 4 floors with a lot of interesting things and curiosity... Definitely coming back here on my next vacation...

Absolutely amazing show! This was our first time attending the show and it was incredible! There was never a dull moment! We were treated very kind when we arrived and everything was soooooo awesome!!!!

My friend and I visited from Los Angeles because we heard of the show being one of the best in America. It was our first time in South Carolina. We fell in love immediately. The show was just amazing. From the beautiful elegant building to the performance, everything was just perfect. Everyone who worked there was super nice and helpful. We have seen both shows. We can’t even say which one was our favorite because both were just spectacular. We miss it already and will return more often to see the show. I have to say, the singers sing some songs better than the original singer. We were definitely impressed! Also everyone on stage looked extremely happy. Oh, not forget to mention, the guitar player were just a dream. Thank you for this wonderful experience. We can’t wait to be back very soon.

My wife and I saw The Christmas Show and it was fantastic. This show had a little bit of everything you could ask for (except rap or rock). Great singers and musicians that would be hard to match anywhere. Top level Dancers & comedian that were very entertaining. The guys playing a Christmas song by stomping out the notes with their feet on a large digital keyboard were unbelievable. So much talent and entertainment for the price you pay. And they don’t leave out singing about the true meaning of Christmas - Christ was born unto us! I highly recommend this show for anyone looking to hear & see a great Christmas show that will help get you in the Christmas spirit.

Amazing Live Entertainment! We had tickets for "Time Wrarp". A great mix of Classics that my who'll family enjoyed! My 6, 7 and 16 year old all loved it, so if you're contemplating if your child can enjoy the show, I believe this is a pretty good range you can base it off. The vocals and entertaining is top notch. I will definitely be back for a new show!

I’ll start by saying I was probably the youngest person in the audience and the only Hispanic, but don’t let that deter you from catching this great show!! If you like live entertainment, I recommend this! From beginning to end, it was entertaining; the music was incredible, the comedy was cheesy but hilarious, the tap dancers were amazing. I would definitely visit The Carolina Opry when I’m visiting SC again. The only thing I’d change is where I was seated, the camera set up was right in front of me and although I could see, I had an obstructed view of the show. 😔

5 star rating isn't enough, the place was clean, I felt like it was pretty safe, staff all seemed in very good moods and spirits. I will 100% be returning and telling people about the place.

This show is amazing! The performers are exceptional. We go every time we are in Myrtle. We did however, miss getting to have the meet and greet and photo session they use to have after the show.

First-timers going, to the Carolina Opry Absolutely a phenomenal show!! and experience. Lots of guest interaction, music, performers, and a comedy show. A little bit of everything wrapped up in one show. The venue has very comfortable seating, and the check-in process for ticket pickup is quick and easy. If your in the Carolina's make sure you stop and see the show. Worth every penny! But still very reasonable pricing.

We had a great time here! We couldn’t get the 6pm tix we wanted but went to a 3:30p show. It was really fun. We arrived early to browse the grounds. They have lots to look at in the way of show animals and a gift shop. They also have a “waiting” lounge where you can purchase snacks and drinks. They take your photo when you arrive and you are given the opportunity to purchase just before the show or you can use the QR code to view and purchase later. They have an area where you can pay ($25) for pirate or mermaid makeup, costume toys, and team flags. They opened the doors 20 minutes before the show. Each table held 10-15 people so you’re kind of trapped behind the table unless you scored the 2 end seats of each table. Every seat is a great seat! We scored front and center seats and they were great for seeing closeup but all have unobstructed views and the set is wide. Lots of activity on all fronts. Food was yummy. They even offered to-go bags if you needed them. The service was fantastic. The acrobats and aerialists were amazing. My favorite was Salty the walrus. Such a cute segment! They have opportunities for some audience members to participate in the show but I’m not sure how they were chosen. Maybe ask when you purchase tix.

Great show in a great venue. The singers were all very good. They did a variety of music and kept it mixed up. Great dancers and the musicians were incredible. We bought tickets last minute and were glad we did.

Took my mother to see Time Warp and she had a blast. We have seen all the shows and she has always loved All That. Well tonight when the show ended I went to get her wheel chair and Mark Clifford had came out from the back. He came and was talking to my mother and that made her night. Thank you to Mark and all the cast for the joy you bring to so many people. If you see a show make sure it's The Carolina Opry

Lovely spot with fantastic she crab soup. Probably my favorite of all time. The chopped salad left a lot to be desired. The dressing didn't have much of a flavor at all. If I ordered it again I would definitely get different dressing. The jambalaya was pretty good. The seafood in it was delicious. Great service.

We were looking for the best seafood in Myrtle Beach and Sea Captain's was recommended by mamy people we asked and it was highly rated, so we made reservations. We were initially excited about the opportunity to dine while on the beach, but we weren't seated anywhere near a window. The service was average and then our food came. I eat a lot of seafood and I can tell you that the she crab soup was just ok and it barely had any crab in it. I guess it's all in what you are accustomed to. Maybe we ordered the wrong items. The main entrees were also flavorless. It was a bit of a let down, so we will not return based on this experience.

This is a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful ocean view. The food and service are always outstanding. Sarah was wonderful in guiding me through my meal. Such a wonderful young lady. Carolina Seafood Platter with Collard Greens, a Ceasar Salad and their phenomenal hush puppies made me wish I could dine at the Sea Captain's House weekly. Superb.

We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and were seated immediately. Our server Timothy came over right away , explained both history of restaurant and the menu specials of the day. He then brought us complimentary hush puppies which were light and airy and delicious. Our drink order came out quickly and both drinks were prepared perfectly. Our appetizers and meals were all cooked to perfection and were extremely tasty. Everything about our dining experience at sea captains house was amazing. Will definitely be back and recommend to our friends.

We had been to this restaurant 11 years ago when we visited Myrtle Beach and wanted to go again because of the amazing seaside view while dining. The food we had this time was still amazing. Our waitress was so nice and she was so prompt with everything. The view was spectacular. Would definitely go back. My whole family loved it - even my kids who weren't to sure about seafood.

Good afternoon lunch here. Very reasonable pricing especially on the seafood. Our server Nancy was top-notch she's been with the restaurant the number of years but you wouldn't have guessed it. You are right down by the beach, so perfect for the view, to eat lunch, and then take a nice walk along the beach. Came back the next Day for their Breakfast Buffet - it's worth it ❣️ Had an omelette with onions, tomatoes and Goat cheese - you'll love it ❣️❣️The view adds to it Dave enhances the experience with his yokes ah Jokes😂😂😂😂

This is one of the best restaurants in Myrtle Beach! The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent. All with an amazing view! Instead of bread for the table, they bring you hush puppies, and we're very glad they did, because they were the best hush puppies we've ever had! We then decided to order a few appetizers. We really enjoyed the ahi Tuna and the she crab soup, but the best appetizer was the low country boil dip. We highly recommend checking that out, it was incredible! For dinner we ordered the surf and turf (steak and scallops), which was very good, and the pecan crusted red snapper, which was one of tubby best pieces of fish we've had in ages! They were also great with our dietary restrictions, even though we understand it isn't always easy. But they made sure we knew what we could order and suggested changes to avoid issues. Everyone was outstanding!

The waitress Madison was sooo nice! I have to give it 3 stars because I only went for the "lump" crab cakes and to my surprise there wasn't any lumps inside. It looked like the crab was shredded. The taste was just ok. The crab soup was pretty good but looks nothing like the pic on their site. Don't expect any crab meat to be in it. The bang bang shrimp was delicious and the view was beautiful.

We had a really nice dinner on a Sunday night! We ate outside on the patio and there was live music until 8PM. There is a beautiful view of the ocean. We didn’t have a reservation and waited out front for 45 minutes, which didn’t bother us. They have a bar on the patio and you can wait there or on the grassy area near the patio (and listen to the music). There was also the option to visit the bar inside or sit inside while you wait. There is plenty of parking across the street and they offer valet. My mom is vegetarian and it was nice to see the restaurant has a vegetarian/gluten free menu. Our server was outstanding! His name is Cedric and if you have the pleasure of having him, you will have a great time! We will try and request him when we return! We had the she crab soup which was very good, but ours didn’t have pieces of crab in it which would have made it better. The jambalaya and the vegetable stir fry were delicious. The shrimp and grits was good, but had a lot of cream sauce so if you like that, you are good to go! We truly loved it and we will be back!

The food is wonderful. Hush puppies are complementary and I could eat my weight in them! The fried green tomatoes are excellent. I had the fish special and it was golden tile, which I had never had before. I was pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed it so much, we went back for lunch the next day

My husband & I went to Sea Captain’s House to enjoy a date night out & had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend making a reservation for the patio, great views + atmosphere. The service from all the staff was professional & welcoming. The food was 10/10! I’m pregnant & asked them to make me a couple of mocktales & they were delicious & very reasonably priced. Definitely going to make this place a go to every time we vacation this way!

Very good service. Friendly, helpful, attentive. Had bang bang shrimp tacos. Very tasty with right amount of spice and sweet with the coleslaw. Two tacos, six large fried shrimp, pickled onion and coleslaw. Great views of the beach. My only suggestion is for the manager... he came around to ask how things were. I'm happy to answer but not mid bite of a messy taco. Maybe come ask when we are finished eating.

One of my memories when I think of Myrtle Beach is Captain George's. My parents would stop here when I was a child and now as an adult I got to share the experience with my kids. We arrived early enough on a Friday to get the early bird special . The early bird took $3 off the price but is was still $44 per person and 23 per child. The outside of the restaurant is gorgeous. My kids love throwing money into the fountain outside. The inside is equally as stunning. The large Buffet is set up like a ship. The restaurant was incredibly clean and functions very well despite being very busy. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Most of the food was very good. The crab legs were a bit cool and were hard to crack and the desserts were subpar. Everything else though was very hot and fresh. I particularly enjoyed the fried scallops, she crab soup, shrimp, sausage, and salmon. The only reason it's not a 5-star review is because of the condition of the crab legs. Other than that it was fantastic!

Excellent place to eat. All you can eat crab legs 🦀 are yummy, seafood casserole has large scallops & shrimp that was very flavorful. Jambalaya was yummy too. Highly recommend this place. Servers are very polite. Also they have their own photographer who gave complimentary photos. Awesome experience

Although I am no longer able to eat lobster, crab or shrimp, I was going to order off the menu instead of getting the buffet . I went and looked at the buffet and there was plenty of other options to choose from. I enjoyed the garlic wings, the baked salmon, steak and prime rib, whole cooked mushrooms, a huge salad bar, Mac and cheese and a huge dessert bar. My family did enjoy the seafood options. If you are going to do a seafood buffet while in Myrtle Beach this is definitely the best option, food is worth the money, everything was fresh and the buffet was kept stocked even with the large dinner crowd. The environment is kinda cool too it’s like you’re on a ship. Staff was very accommodating and kept your shell bucket empty, plates cleared and drinks full.

Captain George's is the best seafood calabash in all of Myrtle Beach. I live in Charlotte, and I have to make the trip to Captain George's at least once a year. Their main star is their crab legs, which have great flavor and are very juicy. Another great thing about the buffet is they have a great selection of seafood and meat so you can't go wrong with any option. I loved their Mahi and their raw oysters as well. Their muscles and shellfish options are also delicious. A must visit in Myrtle Beach!

I had a great time at Captain George's. The food was amazing. They make sure to refill and replenish all the food quickly and it's neat. The crab legs were delicious w hot butter. $44.95 per person for the buffet. I had a Painkiller for $10.99 which was a nice strong drink that our waiter recommended. He was very helpful and polite. I literally ate too much but it was so good. I love the atmosphere and the decorations. It feels cozy and I intimate to dine here. Loved it. I will definitely return to this location in SC.

On a recent trip to Myrtle Beach, SC. we asked around about good seafood restaurants, many answers received , but Captain George's Seafood Buffet came back many times more than others. So we went to Captain George's that night. It is early Spring so parking wasn't a problem, but this place has ample parking facilities to handle the Summer crowd. Upon entering the restaurant there was great accent lighting and the main floor had many sailing ships that housed all the food choices, very nautical and very nice. Our waiter and the other service staff were very friendly and attentive to our table, every time we would go up we would come back to a table cleared of plates. we did make many trips to the food stations we wanted to taste a bit of everything. We did pretty good, we hit them pretty hard on the crab legs (probably recovered the price of admission on crab legs alone) Mussels, crab cakes, crawfish and shrimp along with many other seafood delights. Excellent, and believe it or not we also had some dessert. I'm sure there are other buffets in Myrtle Beach, but I can speak for our visit to Captain George's it was Devine good good good or so good.

While visiting Virginia Beach, we asked where to find the best seafood restaurant. Captain George’s Seafood was at the top of everyone’s list, so my wife and I decided to try it out. They had an expansive buffet, to include, but not limited to Oysters Rockefeller, and all you can eat crab legs. A buffet like this elsewhere would cost upwards of $65.00+, but at $49.99, it was a whopping $15.00 cheaper and well worth the price. I’d go back to Virginia just to have that experience again. It wasn’t the Colonel’s chicken, but what they had to offer was “finger licking good”.

We’ve eaten here plenty of times, but this was by far the worst experience. The food was mediocre except for the crab legs. Service was horrible! After a long wait, we were seated and still waited at least 10 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. There were 3 waiters assigned to our table all at the same time. We asked a waiter for a kids menu as our 7 year old daughter will not eat $22 worth of food on the buffet. Once again, we waited 10 minutes. I had to walk all the way to the hostess stand to get a kids menu myself. The kids meals are $10 BTW. There were parties who arrived after us who got faster service than we did. They were already getting their food while we were still waiting for drinks! When we asked for the check, that took forever to come. And when my husband paid for the food, it took the waiter forever to come back with his card. We will not be visiting here again! If you ever want some good seafood and excellent service, try the Inlet Crab House or Hooks Seafood buffet!

I found it to be a little bit over pricey but I guess if you like crab legs and you can eat all you want. It's a good deal but I kind of wish I went to a regular sit down and serve restaurants for the price. The design of the place was very nice. Kind of reminded me of being on a cruise ship with the buffet. The waiter and waitress service there was very good and I found the food to be okay. They did have a wide variety

We come here every time we are in MB. Best selection of food from salads, soups, ribs. chicken/beef, shrimp, mussels, clams, crab legs, scallops, all breaded and plain and large selection of desserts! Must have at least 50 dishes on buffet. Come hungry and early (4pm) otherwise you will have long wait!

It's all you can eat crab legs nothing else to say. It's pricey around $55 a head with a soda. It's very clean staff is everywhere and extremely friendly. The food is very good and the crab has been properly good so the meat is not stuck to the shell. Well worth the trip would recommend to anyone vacationing in the area.

This place is out of this world! They had marinated sirloin that was the best steak that I've EVER had!! It was so juicy and tender with loads of flavor!! The baked potato and salad was wonderful as well. If you like bread pudding, you've got to try theirs. It was made up of croissants and it's also one of the best bread pudding that I've ever had!! We had an incredible waiter named Brandon, and he made sure that we got our drinks and food, and anything else that we needed. He was very polite and he made sure that you were satisfied. This place was fantastic!! We will be back that's for sure!

Came here for Mother’s Day and it was truly wonderful. The atmosphere was incredible and all the women in my family were well takin care of and enjoyed ourselves. The family had a really good time as well as the kids . This was my 1st time which I can honestly say was amazing. The food was great, the service was awesome, and the wait time was extremely short for a party of 20 yes I said 20 on such a busy holiday weekend. You won’t be disappointed with this stop so go ahead and enjoy!

Great restaurant, a must visit every time I'm in Myrtle Beach. The chicken tenders are phenomenal- nothing like I've tasted anywhere else. The steak is tender and needs nothing else with it to add to the taste. The ribs were just okay- the bbq sauce was nothing to write home about. All other dishes we have tried were well worth the above average price you will pay here. It feels like a high end restaurant for regular people. Very good food and a must try if you are in the area. I highly recommend it!

There was a long wait, but we were seated a half hour before our original sit time. My family ordered all different things and each entree was delightful. The chicken wings could use a sauce, but other than that, they were great. Their desserts were also very good. I would come back.

First time eating here. Food was great. I had ribs and my husband had the prime rib. Matt waited on us and was fantastic!! Even though we were a little early for the prime rib and baked potatoes, they happily accommodated us with a very short wait. Definitely has become a "must stop" place for us when in Myrtle Beach!!

Every time I’m in myrtle beach I try to make it to this place!! Be sure to make a reservation because wait times can be long the food is definitely worth the wait! The honey butter rolls are so warm and crispy and I’m not much of a bread eater. The portion size is more than filling and the margaritas are great!! You have to try this place!

Delicious and amazing! For a starter we had the spinach nachos and they are to die for I had the "fried fish platter" and she had a "monster burger" and boy were they amazing. We both came out of the restaurant absolutely stuffed and very happy. Our sever was very friendly and extremely quick refilling my water when I've only taken a few sips but without bothering us too much as we ate. Just the perfect medien of being their for us but not being in the way of our date. The vibe of the restaurant is kind of dark yet at the same time modern. You can see the kitchen and the line cooks right from the table. The bar staff seemed very on the ball as well. They forgot my baked potato and accidentally gave me fries but with no questions asked immediately they had a fresh potato for me when I pointed out the mistake. The prices where definitely on the higher end but you get the bang for your buck. My friend platter was 20-25$ and her burger was 15-18$ The parking lot is very large with plenty of handicap, be sure to enter through the front and you will exit through the back. I believe this was a COVID thing that stuck but it works. The bathrooms were very clean and well lit. Some of the restaurant is handicap friendly with a ramp available to access the higher side. Overall 9.5/10 and I will be visiting again the next time I visit Myrtle Beach.

The service was excellent. Fried pork chop dinner-the pork chops were seasoned properly and fried GBD, just how it should be! And it wasn't dry! The ribs- single rack, over cooked, covered in BBQ sauce, I would not order again. the creamed spinach was pretty good. Decent sized side salad, came with yummy bread! The blended hurricane- not terrible but tested like straight grenadine. Kids tenders and fries- I thought they were really good but my nephew didn't like the breading, he loved the fries! Crab dip with pretzels- the seasoning on the pretzels was unnecessary, all it needed was butter. The dip was honestly crab meat with cheese in it! Delicious. Even the little guy ate it! Our server was great and friendly,I wish I remembered her name. She was top 2 best service we had during our visit.

First time here... won't be the last! We both had the blackened chicken pasta with a house salad. The salad came with one of their homemade crescent rolls and was delicious! The Alfredo sauce was homemade and some of the best I've ever had! Also the service was friendly and prompt. We will be back!

Carolina Roadhouse was an unexpected gem in our day visit. Peaceful, open, airy venue. Our server went above and beyond - prompt service, great recommendations. Great prices. The honey butter croissants were perfect, chicken had the best char and juicy texture. Would absolutely eat here again!

This place can fit a lot of people and seems like is very popular. We got there before 6 pm so it was really easy to find a table but when we left we saw a lot of people waiting for a table. I ordered the American burger, potato soup and garlic mashed potatoes and was delicious, also Ryan our server was super cool and attentive. Totally recommended!

We decided to have dinner here after reading the reviews on Google. This place did not disappoint. The staff was great. Our waitress Haley was fantastic. Our (5 people) order came out quickly and correct with zero issues. She kept our drinks full. She kept returning to see if we needed anything. Three of us had the ribs. They were the best rbis we've ever had. The meat came right off the bone (fall off the bone perfect) with a great flavor. The N'awlins Chicken was fantastic. It was very flavorful and the sauce with queso was so good. We also had them make the garlic mashed potatoes loaded and they were spot on, thanks! The steak filet was cooked to perfection and tasted perfect. The Cresent rolls with honey butter were as advertised. This will be our new top choice for dinner when we come down on vacation. I'm not able to give any reviews or recommend any deserts for the simple fact we were so full. You need to have dinner here. You will not be disappointed. I just hate that I have to wait a year to go back.

Walked here from my hotel this week not wanting to get in my truck to go find food. I have to say, this place was pretty good. When I first walked in I was a little unsure, as the hostess did not seem to know if they had bar seating(I believe she was new) She quickly spoke to a server at the bar who brought out the bar stool and got me hooked up with a menu and took my drink order quickly. I ordered a margarita and it seemed to be a good deal. I chose the blackened mahi and fries and I have to say that they were quite good. Sitting at the bar also told me that I definitely need to come back as all of the food coming from the kitchen came out at the bar and everything looked amazing. I will have to try a burger next time and the onion rings looked as big as your head. Some of the servers were sharing some sort of cheese stick popper things and offered some to me and they were insanely good. As an airplane nut, I enjoyed the bit of aviation decorations up by the bar. Next time I'm in the area I will make it a point to stop here again.

Max was excellent, went in, they were on a wait, they offered us to have a seat at the bar. When our table was ready service was super fast, yet not rushed. Love the atmosphere! I ordered the cheese pops and the blooming onion for apps and they were delicious! The JALAPENO ‘BACON JAM’ BURGER was perfect not too spicy with amazing flavor and super juicy! But do yourself a favor and order the coleslaw it was the most creamy coleslaw I’ve had this side of a church dinner on the grounds! The whole experience was well worth it!

This is one of our local favorites when visiting! The hospitality is friendly, casual and relaxed! Their burgers are delicious, cheese pops (cheese curds) and boneless wings are excellent as well. Family also states their strawberry Margherita is just right!! There is no glass on the premises as this restaurant is also accessible from Sand Dunes water park!

Great burgers!! A favorite appetizer is the fried zucchini. Reasonably priced. Easy-going, comfortable atmosphere. Peanuts in the shell available at table. We always make sure to go when visiting Myrtle Beach.

Cool, funky, laid back burger joint. License plates are the main decor. Definitely do their burgers. Lots of options and some crazy ones. I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was better than average. We also got the chili cheese fries but those weren’t as good. The chili had hunks of tomatoes which was unusual for use on fries. Several locations in town. Liked the outdoor bar area in nack. Worth a try.

This was my first time dining at River City Cafe and I absolutely loved it. I plan to return every time I go to myrtle beach. We had cheese poppers for our appetizer which were wonderful. The grilled ham and cheese was the best I've ever had. And the sweet potato waffle fries were so good. Our waiter, Logan, took very good care of us. I would give them more stars if I could.

The menu is full of all kinds of innovative burger items. Both their meat and chicken burgers were delicious. Our server was very hospitable and gave great recommendations. Will be going back for sure.

The rating should be 5 stars. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and everything came out fast. Unfortunately you can not get take out or take home any extra food. The amount of food that is wasted in this place is unreal. We had a party of 9 and had enough food left for three more meals but it goes right in the trash. I even offered to pay extra to take it home but they won't let you. I understand why they do it, since it's family style. I also wanted to take some home for my family members that couldn't make it, but there is no take out. I really enjoyed the food but will not go back.

One of the best family style restaurants I have been to! We were visiting Myrtle Beach on vacation and came across this restaurant while walking on Broadway. Our waitress Kelsey was so sweet and attentive. It is a pricier option, but definitely worth the price. If you are eating, then they will keep bringing more. We did the Georgia option that came with 4 entrees and 4 sides. Dessert is also included for each person. The catfish and sweet potatoes would be my top two picks and I would recommend the banana pudding for dessert with the chocolate butter cake in very close second choice.

The southern fried chicken was amazing. The chicken and dumplings were good, but not enough dumplings. The candied yams were absolutely amazing. What a fantastic place to eat! Our waitress was so kind and served us very well. The price was not bad considering the amount of food you get. Too bad you can't get two servings and then you could take some home. But people would abuse it. So overall the food and experience was amazing.

Really enjoyed the family style dinner buffet 😋. Food was fresh and Hot. Great service from our server and the store had lots to choose from for your kitchen. Only 2 complaints but still deserves 5 stars cause it's just me but #1 turn the ac vents toward the dining room. It was blowing down on my table making my food cold to eat. #2 and it's just what I do is on the fried chicken I would inject the breast with a marinde like you do deep fried turkey. Breast was a bit dry but over all the dinner was great. Will return.

First time visiting Paula's Dean restaurant. I enjoyed the food, one thing that I look for in a restaurant is that the food tastes like food not salt or excessive sugar or butter. This food was deliciously perfect to me. Great, great service, all of the employees are very nice, courteous and always checking on your table in case you need something, love it. The atmosphere is very nicely decorated, clean and full of interesting items like candles, sauces, utensils etc..I definitely recommend this place. My experience was great

The meal was great. We consumed way to much food. Need to go on a diet after this vacation. The service was good. We had the fried chicken and spare ribs. Our sides were Yams, Okra, Collared greens and cheese grits. We only got a second helping of the Okra - we were too full to get anything else.

The food was no too good. It lacked flavor. Even the mashed potato wasn’t good. How can you mess that up? The only thing decent was the deep fried chicken. We had shrimp and dumplings and ribs. Shrimp was dry just like the ribs. I did not even finish the ribs and just left them on the table which I would not normally do. Besides the food being bad the rest is super nice the building and decor is very nice. The service was very attentive and friendly. Views are spectacular and the price was very reasonable.

Good price overall for a family style- all you can eat meal! The building is beautiful, bright and spacious. Family recommends sweet potatoes (yams), creamed corn, fried chicken and ribs. Our only difficulty was accommodating 2/6 people that were vegetarian. Very limited choices as the potatoes and grits both had meat in them.

Food was good and homey. All meals served family style which was fun. Too much food. You will feel like you had Thanksgiving dinner! Restaurant very clean. Staff attentive and very friendly. Get there early. If there's a long wait you can walk around the complex and they will text you when your table is ready

Having eaten and enjoyed the Paula Deens Family Kitchen in Pigeon Forge Tennessee, I had to try this one in Myrtle Beach. And... it was just as good. Being in a very interesting area, this location has a lot of parking. There are plenty of handicap spots also, so no issues for anyone. Walking inside you enter the large gift shop with something for everyone! Take the escalator up to second floor, or the elevator if you have a disability. When up top they immediately seat you and take your drink order. They have your typical drink options, including some adult beverages. This restaurant is a family style, meaning you get to pick your entree and sides. They bring endless refills (food and drinks, except those adult beverages) you cannot take any leftovers home. You can however take your dessert home (so eat up!) Our food options for 8 people were fantastic. Fried Chicken, Pork Chops, Collard Greens, Mashed Potatoes, Chicken and Dumplings, Green Beans and Creamed Corn. Everything was very good, the collards were a bit salty to me. Everyone in our party agreed that this food is wonderful. If in Myrtle Beach, give it a try. I doubt you will be disappointed. Staff: 5 stars Food: 5 stars Timeliness: 4 stars Cleanliness: 5 stars

Paula's was a great experience. This was my first time ever eating here. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. I dined upstairs and the view over the water was amazing. The waitress was nice and explained the menu along with suggestions. We ordered the catfish, pot roast and fried chicken w mashed red skin potatoes, yams, collards, and Mac and cheese. I really enjoyed the catfish and pot roast. The mac and cheese was really good and the yams. I didn't like the collard greens that much. Overall, everything was good I just thought the food could have been hotter when it came out. Good for $30/person for all that food. It is a lot of carbs so you can only eat so much. Even though it is family style eating you will be full of the huge biscuits, potatoes and rice. Nice store to shop in at the lower level after you are super full. Nice lounge chairs to sit in if you need a rest and look at the waterfront. Good experience A+

Food is very bland mac and cheese has little cheese. Fried chicken had no seasoning pork chops had a little more flavor. The roast was good rice was still hard . I think it’s kind of over priced for the food offered. We eat out often and are locals we will not be returning but it was an expensive meal for buffet style food. The dessert was uncooked raw with egg shells (see photo). The waitress was very kind and checked often to see if she could get us anything. Nice calm environment

First time at Paula Deen's restaurant and it was delicious! Awesome customer service and the food was top notch. Chicken and dumplings, chicken fried pork chops, green beans, cream corn, cream potatoes, bake Mac and cheese was crazy good! Paid $24.99 per person but it was bottom less amount. Ask for more when you run out at no additional charge. No to go plates available but you will leave with a full stomach. Will definitely eat here again! Check out gift shop afterwards!

I like the concept, it would be good for a medium-sized party. There were three of us and we ordered two entrees and then we get the four sides. I like that it's unlimited. The food was good but I wouldn't say it was any better than golden corral. So for $30 a person not bad but I probably wouldn't do it again. There was absolutely nothing special about any of the entrees or the sides that would make me specifically want to come back there. The food was hot and the server was nice although I never got a refill on my soda.

When we first arrived here, we knew it was gonna be good. The building is a 2-story restaurant with a shop on the first floor and a restaurant being on the second. When we entered the building we were greeted in kindly, the lady told us where to go without any confusion. When we got to the top of the escalator, we were sat immediately. Once we were seated, a very kind waitress served us, and she did with a positive attitude that seemed like she cared about her work, which made the experience already positive. The food here is very delicious although ordering the food works in a odd manner. To order here you must order for the entire table 2 meals and 4 sides. However, they are bottomless, so you can eat as much of the meal as you want. We ordered the pot roast and spare ribs for the main portion. The sides were mac and cheese, potatoes, green beans, and cream of corn. Finally, the atmosphere at this place was fantastic. Clean tables, quiet restaurant, great view of the jet boats next door on a lake. Very good restaurant would definitely revisit, and it's all at a good price.
