An amazing clock tower with so much ornate detail. It was very busy even on Monday, I would recommend you go on a weekday. The clock rings 3 times a day in the summer. 2 in the winter. Amazing sight to see nonetheless.

A nice central plaza that lies in the heart if the city connecting between its main streets and shopping malls. You can sit there for the whole day enjoying the traditional bakery and watching the freelancer artists doing their musical performance. Got money to waste ? You can do all your shopping from the near by shops. Apple is by the corner😍.

A perfect place that offers many different options to enjoy a nice beer in the outdoors. I loved the architecture there, the place is so beautiful and it is surrounded by many other wonderful places such as cathedrals, restaurants, emblematic buildings and other spots just waiting to be discovered by us!

The old city center of Munich is a place you can sit, stand, watch for hours with ornate detail and people watching. Sadly we missed the final Glockenspiel show of the day (17:00) but there were plenty of other bells to enjoy throughout the hour.

This place is incredible, you could stare at this building all day and still not see all the details. We went back to see the glockenspiel, at 5pm. The building could not be any more impressive. The performances in the square were entertaining too. It's definitely a spot you don't want to miss if you are in Munich. The train will take you directly there if you aren't in walking distance. There are many restaurants and shops nearby.

Just perfect for enjoying your beer out in the open, there are many bars or cafe around. And of course… the expensive shopping nearby. Any brand you can think of, you will find it here.

Most of the household items and all the shops are found here. Always a crowded place. It is definitely a safe place even though it's crowded. People are nice, they just care their own business. Place for all the young people to vibe around and spend nice time with the closed ones. Great place to pass time. Looks very beautiful during the spring 🌼 and summer 🌞⛱️ season. Nice tulips flowers 🌺🌹 are planted in this place.. everyday show time for the bell ringing amazes people and keeps them wait there and watch the show for few minutes.. no tickets and entrance fee are required. A lot of souvenir shops are found in this place .. highfi city area. Have fun visiting Munich Marienplatz.

A nice place in the center of city with beautiful and amazing central location in Munich. The architecture is beautifully done. the central square is spacious and you can have a walk around old historical buildings as well as observe monuments around. They worth taking pictures of. The main reason people love to visit here is its atmosphere at the time of ticking clock tower with dancing dolls. It has couple of very tall towers from where you can have breathtaking views of Munich city. It’s a crowded place because main shopping street next to it. A lots of shopping stores, cafes & restaurants around for quick shopping or grabbing a quick bite. Don’t drive there because parking is bite far but best traveling by subway. If you are planning to visit Munich, this place is a must visit.

It’s great to have 900 acres garden right in the middle of a big city. It had water body, green lawns, forest feeling, beer hall for 7000 people, peaceful pathways, river and on top of it surfing. It was amazing. Not to missed in Munich !!

This place is gorgeous and the beer garden is a delightful place for lunch. We walked around for hours and enjoyed the shade and flowing water. So many little places to stop and get a drink or relax. Very peaceful.

One of the best places in Munich to do any kind of outdoor activities. The popular English Garden has beautiful landscapes as well several facilities to do recreational activities including walking, running, playing games, cycling, surfing, having beer, gluwein and many more. It is also beautiful and charming even in winter.

Realy nice place! There is a lake and also the possibility to rent a pedal or paddle boat 20€ for half an hour There are beautiful ducks and swans hanging out among the people, literally a stunning place for a couple or family outing. Easy parking, 3€ for the first 2 hours.

The huge and lovely English Garden in Munich is a great place to visit, whether it's sunny or cloudy. On sunny days, you can enjoy outdoor activities like surfing with a lot of people around. But if you prefer a quieter garden experience, it's even more charming on cloudy days.

Beautiful place but due to the winter season it was very grayish and of course the water was frozen. It should one of the most green/colorful place during summer and autumn.

Huge, close to town, and beautiful. You can swim, enjoy a crate of beer there, sunbathe, even surf. It does get very crowded on summer afternoons, so perhaps come in the morning from April-August. There’s plenty of shade by the sides and a couple of beer gardens for a bite and a drink. Police regularly has a presence in the area.

One of my favorites spots in Munich. During summer is full of people and you can do many activities there. To play volleyball you need your own nett but eventually you also can ask to join others team. You can swim and do the famous and traditional jump from the bridge at Isar. I always go with my friends, but sometimes after work I go there just to relax, feel some sun and read my book.

Such a beautiful place to visit to see all the locals and tourists out and about, there is something for everyone. I spent a good 5/6hrs just wandering around, checking out the surfers, live music and seeing the sites. Def worth a visit

Fantastic place for moto fans including some history of aircraft engines. Highly recommend - if you don’t want to wait in a queue then buy tickets online in advance. Enjoy the cars and motorcycle evolution.

What an incredible experience! We loved walking around the BMW museum. There is so much to see and it is all presented on such unique ways. You could spend the whole day in here and see the history of BMW from its founding days until now. I highly recommend visiting this if you are in Munich and love cars.

I’m not a big fan of cars, so BMW WELT/world is enough for me. It’s free entry (vs. 10euro for BMW museum). The venue and display was set up in an very aesthetic way brought in a pleasant experience. Also u get brilliant view of the BMW “four engine” & “super bowl” building at 2nd floor exit

Building looks cool from the outside and the museum design and path are really good, some nice voice features I've never seen before. Some of the bike areas empty but all cars and engine(mostly Formula and planes) sections are great(especially the f1 and and the touring racing). Price is reasonable for 1.5h - 2h museum.

Nice museum to visit if you like automotive. Displays some of the historic cars, motorcycles, and products of BMW. The museum walks you through the history of BMW and their values. You get to see pieces from history and the modern ones too. Plan to spend 2-3 hours here. No line when we visited in December. Conveniently located by a train stop.

Amazing museum to visit. The BMW Welt is connected to the BMW Museum by a pedestrian bridge. The BMW Welt is free to visit , but the BMW museum costs 10 euros. It worth every penny. The museum is dome shaped and the welt is four cylinder building. Many amazing cars and bikes to see. The factory tour was one of my favorites. We got to see how different parts are made.

You need at least 2 hours to visit the museum, catching some live tours or explanations from the museum staff. Across the street you can visit for free the BMW showroom showcasing new models, but also having some rare exhibitions sometimes.

Amazing place. Fan boy or not this place has great history to show. All the cars at the museum are very unique and are described with great depth of detail which all the history behind the vehicles. If you are in the Munich or are at a close city I recommend visiting. A must see! Loads of gifts shops available at entrance of museum and at the BMW Welt area. Canteen has all sorts of hot and cold food so it won’t be difficult to plan your day here. It has a large car park finding space is not a struggle and it’s not expensive. Bays are large all sorts of vehicles can fit there no problem.

If you are cats lover, you will enjoy it. It has rich content. Not a fan of the museum journey experience, we were bet confused of where to start and where to go next. In general, highly recommended.

A must see place once visiting Munich. Nice cars and history. It is also good that there is no barrier and you can closely explore the cars. The only missing point is that the station wagon section was closed due to renewal.

What an amazing experience! It was great to read about the history of BMW as well as see all the classic cars. Airplane engines, motorbikes etc. really great open space museum. Well laid out, doesn’t feel claustrophobic which is good also.

The amount of detail that is put into this place is amazing. You can find out anything about technology, from microchips, cameras/photography, to modern stuff like robotics and space shuttles. I would suggest arming yourself with a bag of popcorn, a big cola, 6 hours of free time and a lot of patience to have a great experience.

One of the most entertaining museums I’ve ever visited. There are numerous exhibits that facilitate learning. I recommend planning to spend the entire day there. It is definitely worth visiting multiple times. There is a special room where only adults accompanied by children are allowed; you cannot enter without a child.

Great place, lots of fun. There are 6 different levels, takes a ton of time to visit them all. Friendly note: 5-6PM you can get in for free. I know it's far from sufficient to go through everything, but it's at least something.

Definitely a museum that deserves 5 stars. It explains very well what civilization is. There are many places to visit in different branches. It's a great place for kids too. There are very nice activities and applications that they can try and do. 14 euros per person. There is a family discount. I would recommend it to everyone.

Really cool place of you love engineering. It os a very visual experience and there are a lot of things to explain here. It doesn't feel like it is a place dedicated for kids so adults can also have fun in their knowledge exploration. There is a lot of information and it is really well designed but I strongly recommend choosing a section sticking to it and enjoy on part of the museum as there is too much to see. Each section really delves into details and it will be impossible to grasp everything in one go.

This is a really cool museum with plenty to see, also a very big variation. Everything from airplanes to harvest equipment. A very interesting museum, but it is very crowded usually with a lot of school classes visiting it and generally a very long queue to the entrance, but if you are interested in technology it is totally worth the waiting time.

A very big museum with a lot of interesting things! There's a lot of expositions where you can interact with it, and for me that's a most have for a museum about technology. The price is a little bit expensive (14 euros for adults) but there are some discounts ( 4,5 euros for students). What confuses me is that the minimum payment by credit card is 20 euros... That's really not convenient for tourists

A lot of exhibits, various things and a lot to learn. The museum is very well organized, many interactive items, several places where you can have a quick snack, drink a cofee or a beer. If you plan to visit it reserve at least 4 hours from your time to do that.I strongly recommend visiting this place!

It takes a long time to buy tickets, because many school students go there together. It's better to set aside a day to visit the museum. Personally, I feel that this museum is very suitable for scientific enlightenment. It has a basic and comprehensive display of agricultural science, technology, music, aviation and industry.

I took the tour and then went into the museum. As a football fan I had always wanted to go to this stadium. The guide was very clear, he took us to the most important places, and answered every question that people did. The experience was great, however as they were fixing/preparing the grass, it was impossible to appreciate the soccer field in a 100%. I recommend to visit it during the season, and during the afternoon/night, when the stadium coverage is on (mainly red).

A really great experience for all soccer lovers. We got a guided tour of the stadium that gives you access to places like players locker room, the court and the players bench. The museum is rich with information and trophies (a lot of these!) The kids had a great time. The tour is very affordable !

It's a legendary place, we just wanted to enter the stadium and see it, but the packages are not only entered into the stadium; There are only two museum tours or museum+stada entrance. I can't say that the prices are extremely affordable, but when we went, they were on sale sometimes, but beware, they may be closed on some days. Other than that it's beautiful.

Good location just next to U6 subway but also not a lot around as a city, such as touristic activities. Most people visit here and that's all that's around the area (compared to many other parts of Munich city). Entry fee isn't bad, and there's a museum to explore and appreciate trophies, or even buy a jersey. Not a bad experience but niether great except you're here as football enthusiast.

Amazing stadium, the entirety of the place is truly great, from the U-bahn station created solely for the stadium, the views. Every part of it is amazing, the tour through the inside was great and being able to have a little more insight on what the players see before a match is amazing.

Good overall, the stadium is a little lacking compared to others I've done. Be good if you're a die hard but think the museum is worth it. Very easy to get to and back into the city thanks you the great rail network of Munich

Before the game ⚽, a trip to the Paulaner Fantreff is an absolute must. The folders and service staff were very friendly and helpful. We were absolutely thrilled! The game was fantastic took a little time to upload the review 😐. So sorry for that.

Always like to see a place like this. Even I came quite late for the tour and outside was nearly to a heavy storm but no doubt that this place is great to visit. Definitely one more reason why to come back and enjoy the atmosphere of full stadium during a game. Even as a fan of different club that will be a great experience to see it on my own💪

cool architecture, many photo worthy moments to capture. a nice big merchandise shop that sells soooo many things and the arena was cool too. i also went to the museum which was not too bad, good for adults and kids. need not spend too much time here, travelling takes more time than anything

Beautiful restaurant with excellent service and an excellent location- in the heart of the Christmas market. The veal portion was small, but done to perfection. The house white wine was a nice, dry flavor. Dessert was large enough for sharing. Everything was very enjoyable.

We were fortunate enough to have dinner at Ratskeller in April while traveling through Germany. Staff were pleasant and the food was flavorful. The food was everything we were expecting for our Bavarian experience. Prices were reasonable and I was able to feed a family of 5 with appetizers, drinks, entrees and desert for just over 120 euro.

This is a must try restaurant in München. I always passed by the entrance while in Marienplatz and always thought that due to its location is a tourist trap.. I was so wrong!! Both the service and the food were amazing, and the place itself it was huge and very beautiful decorated!

The ambiance is totally perfect! Mush visit at least once. The prices are high but when I consider the portions are big and you can order one for 2, so that's fair. The waiters want you to be fast, and always coming and asking if you have decided. Foods are delicious. However, the black forest cake was disappointing for me.

This restaurant is very busy but efficient. Even though the restaurant is huge but better make a reservation if you plan to go during the peak period. Located right by the subway, super easy to find. Food is good. I like potato soup and sausage. The soup is very rich and creamy. Food come with the big portion.

I even stepped aside to let her pass, so I'm very confused as to why she acted in such way. It's always nice to visit any local place, where the traditional food is served. I would like to highlight the traditional interior, great selection of food and drinks, moderate price for the Munich center. Additionally, the dish size is big, at least for the one I ordered (Schweinshaxe). Also, the speed and the service is top-notch! Definitely worth to visit if you are at Marienplatz.

Recommended by our guide for is great architecture and atmosphere, and indeed the interior is beautiful. Toilets are, however, not free. It says tips are voluntary, but the lady is right in front of the washrooms and makes it very intimidating and difficult not to leave 50 cents before entering. Food tastes good. Do note the actual size of the sausages in the photo if you are ordering the same dish - Munich Rostbratwurstl (there were 6 sausages, I took after one was eaten).

I've been meaning to try this establishment for many years in multiple visits - finally had the opportunity to dine here this evening and what a wonderful experience it was. no trouble on a Monday evening to get an early 6 p.m. walk-in no reservation seating. warm and hospitable greeting from all members of staff especially generous with English speakers. every dish tried was delightful and up to standard. in addition to outstanding service - the beautifully cared for and decorated inside of the Kellerr is of note and worth the dining experience.

Very nice beer garden with a long history in the middle of Munich. Have been here a number of times over the years and have never been disappointed. Was very surprised to see how accommodating this place is for children, for instance there is a very large wooden playground in the main garden, which was great for the kids that were there. Service in the restaurant was fantastic as was the selection of food and of course beer. In the self service area, the offering was just as good and the location to eat and drink your heart away was superb. I will definitely be back when I am next in town. Keep up the great work!

My first Bavarian experience here in Germany. Picked this restaurant to be the first place I head to after touch down from the airport. As a tourist I was honestly shocked at how salty the pork knuckle and maultaschen… had to down a lot of beer to wash it off. Also ate a lot of Sauerkraut to neutralize the saltiness but no complaints because this place serves the local first and foremost. Other than the saltiness I would say the food is really good. The have a wide variety of choices to choose from and you can see how popular it is among the local with the troves of people visiting. Overall great experience 🤩

I wasn’t expecting such kind of experience of beer. Not doubt Augustine beers are awesomely great. It was very hot day and after traveling a lot, the beer made me feel fresh. This place is a big garden with full of benches. Location is cool. Easy to be here by bus, tram or even train station is not far. There was a kids park at the corner of this place where your kids can play while you can have beer. Haven’t got such kind of experience in England. The whole place was full of friends, families and people all around who want to enjoy the beer. The atmosphere was amazing. Didn’t happy with service where you have to be in queue but local people being served before us. Even I noticed that so Asians facing same thing. There’s a queue for rest of the world but not for locals. Process for beer were fine even the food was not very great but bit over priced. Anyhow I had very amazing and unforgettable time with friends and love to come back again.

Very very recommended! I think it is less touristic than in the downtown. The beer is great. The food is super tasty, with fair prices. Short, understandable, also in English. The service is very helpful, speaking English. I would say with much more modern approach, however with a huge history. I think it was established like in 1360. There is a cellar, where a lot of tables. You can be sorted next to other clients and just join them in drinking beer. At the ground floor there is more traditional environment. I recommend to do a reservation! Strudel is super tasty, actually as anything else.

We reserved a table during Christmas and the service was really fast. The food was actually better than our expectations. (Since we were not impressed by the other famous restaurant the day before.) So we came here didn't expect anything to be so much different however every dish we have ordered were so delicious that we actually finished everything quite fast. My favorite was the sausages platter and the pan-fried ox roast with pepper gravy. Amazing experience!

This place has a garden which is especially great in summer time. Highly recommended is you’re strolling around. Also there is the option of self-service where you don’t need to wait for ordering and service. Quite ideal to pick up and eat fast. We ate on the self service part to be fast and catch our train.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is amazing! I come here with my family and we all loved it. It was our first time there and our waiter recommended the lager, it was so good! We easy threw back 5 with our dinner. I had the salmon which was the best I’ve had in a long time. My family member had the Jungschweinebraten which is roasted pork neck with potato dumplings.

Amazing beer and great food! The place has a huge outside garden and lots of space inside, with live music in the evenings. They have plenty of traditional food (wursts, schnitzels, pork knuckles), but also cheese platters, salads or baked salmon. The only downside was the slightly chaotic serving, making it hard to get the waiters’ attention.. but it was worth it!

Very nice beer garden right in the heart of the city. Two tram stops from central station. Huge outdoor area and beautiful indoor area as well. Lots of food choices to please every palate. Food was quick, fresh, and tasty.

Great outdoor restaurant to get immersed in Mücheners life. 500 meters from the train station. Hundred of open air tables underneath the canopy of large trees. Lots of locals, not too many tourists. Beer was good, the half chicken was also yummy.

We were in Munich on a long layover and all I have to say is that if you want to experience an authentic German beer hall this place has it all. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fantastic and the staff was very helpful. Location wise it is a little bit out of the way but if we ever go back to Munich we will absolutely make the trip again.

This is a very traditional German place. It’s has a very spacious dining hall. They have separators between the tables so its pretty good for covid safety. The staff was attentive and friendly. The portions were quite big and tasty.

We went on Monday around 6:30pm, and there are lots of available seats, we get seated quickly, ordered some beers and 2 platters to share. Friendly staff and serving was fast. Food portion is large and quality is good.

My favorite place to eat in Munich. All the food is so traditional and you have to get the pork knuckles. I’m actually surprised that the rating isn’t higher but I went twice and there was always a line the place was packed until closing. It’s probably the first place I’m going to eat next time I’m in München.

Come for vibrant atmosphere and it’s a very touristy place. Prices are reasonable and service, despite the crowd, is bearable. Second time we tried pork knuckle in one day and this fared better. The pulled pork burger with veal was tender. And the 1/2 pork knuckle was huge for Asian eater. Advised to share. The pork skin was crispy but then some parts of the meat was a bit dry. The highlight for me was really the sweet potato fries that came with it. Batter was light and fries was fluffy. Service was relaxing and we here a good server Chanel who made sure his diners are enjoying themselves.

Both the pork knuckle and the veal were a little salty and the dessert tasted good. The service staff is very friendly, but the hygiene in the store needs to be improved. There are oil stains on the coasters and there are flies in the store.

We enjoyed some good food and live music. Overall a good place for lunch or dinner, quieter and more manageable than some other bigger beer houses (some of them feel more like a centraltrain station). Service could have been a little friendlier, but overall a good experience.

This is great local Bavarian restaurant, but bring your appetite! Wonderful food with very generous portions! I recommend the Pork Knuckle, finished with a perfected crackling crust. The sauerkraut is to die for! Don’t get me started on the beer….😉

Food was expensive for what I got. Plenty of other places to get a good pork schnitzel. Food came out fast, I’ll give them that. Note, you seat yourself inside (there’s no sign that indicates this). Also, my waitress asked how much my tip was going to be before entering the total on the card machine - this was not ideal and very awkward.

By far the best Schnitzel I have ever had in Germany, this place is a hidden gem only know by locals, but is a must visit restaurant. Again, is a traditional restaurant not sure if they speak English, but I’m sure one or another must do. You must try their beer which is amazingly tasteful, and of course if you’re into sweets you must try their G’staubter Kaiserschmarrn (famous in the Bavarian region). All in all, 10/10 restaurant!

Very nice ambience and very German welcoming, we came here to taste the kaiserschmarrn for our brunch, I got the version with bread, my wife's was the original. Both were quite tasting but until now I think they were the same dish, she sais no. The only difference was the accompanying sauce, she got apple and mine was plums. I have eaten better than this but it is still valuable if you are hungry. Both dishes were huge and we coudn't finish, I give 2 stars because the waiter didn't mention we could have ordered small portion as in the menu there wasn't mention about it, only one dish at full price.

We had a wonderful dinner experience here. I had the cheese spaetzel and the Kaiserschmarren. It was the best spaetzel I've had. Our server was very nice and had no trouble helping in English and being patient with us. Even helped charge my friends phone while we ate.

Friendly and swift service and the food was one of the best authentic Bavarian meals we had! Enormous portions. Don't go to Hofbräuhaus to eat, come here instead.

Wide selection of traditional German cuisine! Food came out very fast and they have a lot of outdoor seating. Perfect for a quick meal.

Best Bavarian food i had in Munich. Large portion size and value for money. Pork knuckle with fantastic cracking tasted amazing. Great buildung deco, i definately will go back again.

Best pork knuckle and beer. Restaurant is usually crowded and we have to share a table. Food is really good that we return for second visit. Service is fast and German efficiency. Did I mention the delicious and crunchy pork knuckle?

Food is amazing and the atmosphere is fantastic there. We ordered a platter for two with pork nuckle, sausages, and pork cutlets. There were all delicious. We also ordered the duck. Very flavorful. The price is great considering the portion we got.

Great Bavarian restaurant over 2 levels in the old town. Good selection of sausages and I shared a plate while also having the schnitzel. Solid food, great atmosphere with live music 🎶 and a good last meal in Munich before heading back to France.

Great dining atmosphere, I loved the lights and greenery. Got the Klosterwirt menu and it was delicious! The beer from the barrel was also good. It took a very long time for us to get our food though.

Absolutely amazing food! Outside seating is covered and right next to a small, outdoor fountain with lots of trees which make for both a nice view as well as decent temperature due to the shade. Great beer, amazing and accommodating staff (especially for foreigners) — Augustiner Klosterwirt was the highlight of our visit to Munich! Don’t forget to leave space for dessert ;)

The food and service here was great! We had a very large group and they were accommodating and helpful. The food was delicious and everything came out timely and exactly as ordered. Great Bavarian eatery!

We came in just for a few drinks near the end of the night and our waiter was fantastic. We had the last two beers out of the wooden barrel before they cleaned up. Very clean and bright inside with lots of room. Also a large area downstairs with its own bar.

Decent local Bavarian food. Sausages were good, fried pork was nice, and so were the side dishes. The apple strudel was just OK. Service was great - very welcoming and knowledgeable.

Great place to get (what I assume to be) authentic German fare with a nice atmosphere. Service staff are attentive despite the crowd. Though it tends to get busy, it wasn't a long wait for us to get a table and food came fairly quickly.

We hit the Augustiner Klosterwirt as we wanted a traditional Bayerische Bierstube. And we got what we wanted. Is it traditional? It is. Is it turistic? It is. Lederhosen? Plenty. We arrived around 8PM and the place was packed. We waited a few minutes to be seated in the cellar with some other people we didn't know. The service wasn't able to cope with all the guests so we waited around 15 minutes for our drinks and to order our food. That was the major bringdown, but since the service acknowledged us, it was all worth the wait. Beer here is basically alright, but the star of the evening was the food. We ordered the bavarian menu and from soup through the meat platter with potato dumpling and two kinds of cabbage to apflestrudel, everything was done to perfection. Portion was huge and we couldn't finish it and there was no problem to take it home with us. After the maß of beer we also decided to try homemade liqours and as herbal and the nut liquor was great. It was really worth the wait, service was nice, food excellent, but I would recommend come either earlier or later, the main dinner time was little too much.

The beef broth pancake soup was too salty, but the house menu which includes it and the amazingly crispy pork knuckle 👍🏻 with 2 sausages as well as the warm Apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and nice fresh beer saved us from hot summer!

Nice decor inside, nice beer (a local preferred brand), nice atmosphere. Delicious crème brulée. The food was average but the portions were very generous in this restaurant. The service was good and the waitress was (surprisingly) nice and friendly. Overall, to us (family, 3), it was a pleasant experience here.
