It will be a great experience if you have never gone inside sea. Also you will get some good views of sea and Taj hotel. Just one thing that if you love photography, you will have to click a lot of photos to get good shot building as there are always lots of people visiting there.

Iconic place from every angle. I have visited it multiple times, even once I took a ferry for Kashid as well. Please visit in the early morning hours to experience all the pigeons like the photos I have attached here. After the terrorist attack, you can't go near the actual gate, rather there is a barricade. But who stops you to click nice photographs from outside of the same.

Visited this place during sunset, I would recommend to do a ferry ride during sunsets, the experience is just amazing & surreal... Ferry cost around 80-125 INR depends upon which one you select.. please be sure to reach 1 hour before taking the sunset ferry because queues are very long during weekends. Overcrowded as always, but the ferry ride is must do experience.

That was a pleasurable visit at sunset. The Gate way is a beautiful arch- monument, As well a most unique historical landmark of India situated in city of south Mumbai. A very good place where you can enjoy with friends, family and you will get lots of opportunities for shopping in causeway Colaba and also delicious street food in low cost.

This is a pleasurable visit. Good break from a lot of the chaos around. No fee for entry. Just be aware as of Feb 2nd 2022, there is a security checkpoint to be ready for. People with bags right side. All others left side. I wish they had signs posted for that early on. Also there a ton of photographers on site. I have never used them but I was contemplating as they were not asking for much. I don't know what all you would get for 20 rupees.

The spot is great and well maintained except the small small but many fruits and snacks stalls made it very conjusted for the crowd to reach the gateway. Some stalls were placed right outside the toilets that was little bad we know that those people earn there living through those stalls but cleanliness should also be seen as a priority as the place is attracting many foreign tourists as well.

Temple is at a very well connected place. U can use local to Dadar station and share cabs at Rs10/person. But queue to enter is actually the trouble. Despite all effort u can't enter without an hour hustle. Place was historic and beautiful not much peaceful though. Photo was restricted. The price of anything here is at a whole other level. My suggestion would be not getting scammed by local vendors and follow the instructions to get good experience.

The temple has a small mandap with the shrine for Siddhi Vinayak ("Ganesha who grants your wish"). The wooden doors to the sanctum are carved with images of the Ashtavinayak (the eight manifestations of Ganesha in Maharashtra). The inner roof of the sanctum is plated with gold, and the central idol is of Lord Ganesha. In the periphery, there is a Hanuman temple as well. The exterior of the temple consists of a dome which is lit up with multiple colors in the evenings and they keep changing every few hours. The idol of Shri Ganesha is located exactly under the dome. Temple attracts huge crowd of Devotees on Tuesdays, Sankashti & Angarki. A underground railway station is coming up close by is named after the diety.

Blessed to be here. Bappa is in the heart. The temple is located near busy area. One has to take Darshan at early hours when the crowd may be less. But the temple is always full of devotees. So plan well before visiting this temple. A very peaceful and divine feeling.

I really cannot give a review here but this place is just awesome in its self. One of the iconic places as always. Do not fall into the trap of removing your shoes at the shops there is a free service for footwears inside. There are cute lil shops around and gives us a nice vibe.

I loved to visit the Temple of Lord Ganesha. Very peaceful and well maintained. In the early morning it is less crowded. Here is no pressure on the devotee of the middle men or pandas like in other temples in other states. The temple staffs are very friendly. Anyone can give Puja or donate through online. Presently appointment in the temple is restricted. However devotees get joy visiting Siddhi Vinayak Temple.

The experience was nice. The queue keeps on moving at a steady pace. You can find fans everywhere along the queue, also the premise is shaded so as to help the visitors as they queue up for entering the main temple. You can pay Rs 100 if you want to skip the queue. Must visit if you are in Mumbai.

The sanctum sanctorum, adorned in complete gold, presents a stunning and exquisite sight.

If you are in Mumbai, a visit to the temple is must. The temple will give you a feeling of tranquil as you enter. A big crowd is common inside the temple be it any time of the day. There are no tickets to enter it. There will be lots of shops available inside the premises to buy flowers and sweets to offer to lord Ganesh. There are three lines to enter the temple. You will have to choose depending on the type of visit. We went to just visit the temple and see the idol so we went inside thru the mukhdarshan line. If you want to get the puja done, you will have to enter thru the normal puja line or the vip line which costs 1500 rs for 4 people. There is also a lord hanuman idol inside and you can get tika from the purohit while returning back from the main temple. We reached there around 3.25 pm and came back by 3:35 pm. There is a mahaprasad counter where you can get the bhog(laddoo) for Rs 20/-. You can buy modak separately to offer Lord Ganesh. In order to reach there, you can come to dadar station - west and take a share cab at Rs 10/- each and reach the temple in just 5-6 mins. The station road of Dadar has lots of street shopping outlets available and you can shop at cheap prices.

Carry cash for everything where u need to deal with cash. Gateway to Elephanta ferry 260 ₹ eash, only except cash, mini train 10 ₹ cash, Cave location pass 40 ₹ only cash. If the electricity goes down in Elephanta as happens today, the internet will go down, u can't use Gpay or use UPI there. So carry cash as u need.

Nice place for a day trip. We had wonderful time there. Am hot long boat ride on the way to the caves seemed very slow. Caves are good. Get a local guide along. He agreed for 1500. Have good information about caves. It's about information and thus you get to observe tiny things and enjoy the place. There is a government restaurant near the main gate of caves campus. It's there, after you climb all the stairs. It serves good food. Also alcohol is served. There is a toy train from jetty to market. Its not even 10 min walk distance, but take the toy train, especially if you have small kids or elderly along.

Nice place to visit, 3 hour is enough to roam. Return while evening than you may enjoy sunset it was wonderful experience. Wear good pair of shoe and enjoy Hiking. Here you can take toy train rides. Food and water is available over there. Be careful from monkey.

Beautiful journey to reach the caves. You reach Gateway of India, then catch the ferry. It would take 1 hr, would see seagulls, mesmerising view of Mumbai coastline, huge ships, boats, sea, islands. Just beautiful. Then taking toy train, then walking uphill. You may first want to eat after reaching the height, so remove travel exhaustion and relax, before you explore the caves. The first one is the only detailed one, others are simple caves, nothing much to say. It's more for the journey and scenic beauty.

The Elephanta Caves are awesome! They resemble a treasure hunt with several prehistoric caverns and statues. Finding hidden sculptures and exploring the dim passageways gives the impression of being on an actual journey. The enormous statues of the gods and goddesses are quite magnificent. It's amazing just getting there by boat. The Elephanta Caves are a must-see for all aspiring explorers!

Should be a must visit in your bucket list! An iconic place to visit in Mumbai, it’s grandeur is daunting and a treat to your eyes! We visited during monsoon and it was just the perfect time to visit I felt, with light showers now and then...I did a lot of research about this place before we went, but this becomes to be a more of a last minute plan due to monsoon and heavy showers. This ended up being my favourite day of our whole trip! The caves were amazing and the statue carvings were incredible! I would highly recommend using a tour guide as there are no explanations or information boards once you go in

Elephanta caves a world heritage site is accessible by ferry from gate way of India. A 45 minutes boat ride and a 20 min walk and climb takes you to this world famous rock cut caves. It is advisable to take a guide to understand each carved statute and importance of them in the temple complex. Mostly dedicated to lord Shiva, the beauty and architecture can not be explained in a review but can only be appropriated in a personal visit. Facilities do exist at this place.

Not worth the time we spend to see this place. It almost takes 3 hours (to and fro including steps ascent and descent) . The boat ride is painfully slow. No safety jackets are given. The stairs are slightly inclined upwards. Elders might find it difficult to climb.Once you climb stairs there is hardly anything to see. Literally I was done seeing all the caves in 30 minutes. The pathway to stairs is covered completely by the local vendors and as an effect of hot humid climate it becomes unbearable to climb stairs. The condition of carvings are in a ruined state. Monkey menace is normal as in any other tourist place. If you have small kids with you then it's better to skip this place and plan something else in Mumbai

It's a quaint bungalow, immaculately kept. It has lots of pictures, dioramas, books, utensils, clothes, stamps, etc. of Gandhiji. It's very peaceful and serene. It's a heritage of Mumbai and is a must visit.

A hidden treasure in Mumbai that should get more advertising for tourist who want to know more about the life of Gandhi. The building is well kept & maintained. There is a huge libary there which people can access. It is good to go in there with a local guide who can guide you through the building. The place has been kept as it was when Gandhi used to live there. An eye opening experience 👍😁

Mani Bhavan on Laburnum road is houses a museum and a library. On Mondays and Fridays between 3 and 4 pm, they teach how to use a peti charkha. You can spend some time here making your own threads. They also have a small shop where you can buy collections of postage stamps commemorating Mahatma Gandhi in addition to buying books by/on Gandhiji.

One of the historic places of Ghandhi ji history. Very well maintained. Near to VT station and will take approx 15 min. One should visit if you are new to Mumbai or if you are a tourist. There is no ticket cost as such. Located in lush greenery.

Worth the trip to say youve been. There is a fee to enter but it is minimal and if you go with a guide it’s usually covered. It is a straight for historical place where you will need to read through most of the history. My guide let me know that the home as it stands today is not the home of Gandhi. There are photos on one of the floors that show you what it was like when he was there. This location is more of a representation of his work and what he stood for.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this exquisite hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I entered, the warm and welcoming staff made me feel like a valued guest. Peace of mind feels here. One of the best church in India I feel. Personal photos are not allowed. Neat and clean washrooms available. There is a belief that one can take oath for any of the health diseases and it surely recover here. One can lit candles on opposite side fire place. Wax Pieces of human legs,hands etc. are sold on outside shops. Every year there is a fair for one week starting on 8th of September. Autos, Buses and Taxis are available at Bandra Railway station around 3 km away.

What a peaceful and beautiful place! It's located high on top of a hill, the view is beautiful. When we reached there, it was closed. We didn't know that they close it from 1pm to 3pm. It was clean, easy parking available. Overall a nice experience.

Although the current church edifice is relatively modern, the history behind the statue of Our Lady goes back to the 16th century when Jesuit priests from Portugal brought the statue to the current location and constructed a chapel. The structure of Mount Mary Church is inspired by British style of architecture. This church is admired for being positioned on top a hill 80m above sea level that overlooks the Arabian Sea. The Basilica is very beautiful, serene and calm. One can buy candles, idols, crosses and other offerings from the market outside. A perfect place to pray, reflect and be at peace. The altar is adorned with flowers and the church ostends intricate ornate artworks, illustrations, spiritual quotes and decorations.

Lake View Cafe has been our go to place since long and we have memorable moments since this was Renaissance. Right from staying in the massive Presidential Suite on my birthday to the fun times spent with family and friends at the Lake side restaurant... ...With a changeover to Westin now, while the food and decor was good and standards maintained; however the service seemed lacking the 'welcoming' or 'friendly' feel. A marked change from what we were used to probably when this was Renaissance. Reservation phone numbers are a sham. They just don't pick up !! When we reached and i asked and dialed the same number a mobile on the front desk started ringing ! The buffet spread was good and we enjoyed our food and time together, it being our Anniversary ❤️

Its wonderful to sit beside a window when it's raining over the Powai Lake. The greenery adds to the charm of the spectacular view. The quantity of food while ample does not in anyway compromise on the taste. The yummy food with complimentary snacks and the impeccable service just makes you want coming for more. We were celebrating a birthday and were provided with a complimentary cake too. While the location of the Lake Side cafe has changed in the hotel nothing else changes.

A lovely experience and warm welcome over here. I had planned a suprise bday lunch for my husband and it turned out awesome.Ambience was breathtaking. Views were delightful. Food yummiest. The Chef even made a small delicious cake for us. We happen to witness Karaoke over there and end up singing songs as well. Lovely day.

Lake View Cafe is the best place I have visited for a Sunday brunch..The spread , quality and service is phenomenal. Live counters , chaat counters, Italian counters, Asian counters all are absolutely amazing..And the desserts counters are to die for - there was a western dessert and indian dessert counter with more than 30 lip smacking desserts..We ate as much as we could 😊. And the view of Powai lake from the cafe is what adds to the magic. If you have Eazydiner membership then you get 25% off on Buffet and if you pay online from Eazydiner then you get 1000 more if you Axis, Citi or similar cards.. It us worth every penny you are spending. Highly recommended

Amazing food. Amazing staff. Amazing experience. Everything about this place is simply amazing! The staff is nice and courteous. There is a huge variety of food - Sushi, Tofu, Hummus and Pita Bread, Raj kachori, Paneer, Rice, Noodles, and a bunch of dessert options! We booked via Eazydiner and got 25% discount. Rs. 4071 for 2 people after discount.

The low rating is mainly for the disrespect at the beginning of the brunch. Went for New Year's Day brunch with a prior reservation. While waiting to be seated, the concierge/manager very rudely told us "it's a blackout day, no discounts". It was extremely rude and we felt judged, like why the heck would anyone come there if they can't afford your prices. I doubt he informed the same to 'high class patrons'. The person at the egg counter was rude too when asked about if they're serving 'Eggs Benedict'. Throughout the meal, no-one was around to see if the service was smooth and/or everything tasted good. The servers were untrained and confused. The dessert selection albeit huge, was sickly sweet. They served us visibly burnt waffles, which we had to return. Overall, the service has gone down exceptionally, not worth the price anymore. UPDATE: Got a call from the manager, who was very apologetic and hopefully the hospitality is better the next time around, because the food was actually good.

Jw cafe is located near Mumbai international airport. Went there for a dinner buffet expecting it treat myself with some good relaxing dinner. They have nice spread of buffet with good variety and quality food. Loved the paya soup 🍲. Although very less options when it comes to starter but a wide main course and dessert variety could be seen. Although couldn't try all as there was too many. The only disappointment was the service. Considering it as a 5 star hotel the service was okish. I think the management should realise that as a customer we are not just paying you for the food. There many options out there if we wanted to have same food minus the service. We were attend by someone who didn't even bother to explain the buffet which I guess is a general courtesy even in the cheapest buffet you could find in the city. Also I think they were understaffed on a Sunday dinner buffet. Every single time we had to find a service assistant for atleast 10 15 min. I think that's a shame being a 5 star rated hotel. Note: won't be visiting there as they serve pork and I am a non pork eater so wasn't much comfortable eating there.

Still the best Sunday brunch in Mumbai! Had last been here pre COVID and was apprehensive about how the quality might have dropped post the pandemic. But quality of food is still absolutely top notch. As is the spread - one needs a map to navigate the buffet! Service standards are impeccable, and the open bar is pretty phenomenal, with a range of infusions on offer. This is probably the best place to have lobsters in Mumbai at affordable prices. Situated near Kalaghoda and Ballard Estate. The approach is through a busy and narrow stretch. A must visit.

Old school classic restaurant. Besides the decaying atmosphere and interiors of the restaurant the food and service has remained top class. A very nice place for sea food.. The taste was amazing and a bit different too. Neer dosa one of my favourite was delicious and pomfret was yummy... Squids in butter garlic were also tasty and perfectly cooked... All over loved the food and ambience...

Amazing food, did not disappoint with my first Indian seafood experience. Very wide variety of seafood available, the garlic and butter jumbo crab was delicious.

One of the best, cleanest and awesome places to have a Gujarati thali. Very systematic, excellent loving service. They feed you like you are a family member. No valet parking plus almost no parking available so keep that in mind. Go on an empty stomach to enjoy it to the fullest. Lunch is preferable to enjoy it more.

Excellent Gujarati - Rajasthani thali. Variety of mouth watering savouries, good hospitality. Sweets served, Aamras and halwa was excellent. Service is excellent. Restaurant is located in a crowded location. There is no parking available anywhere nearby. So better go by taxi. There is no net connection at all. When we used the credit card, amount is deducted from our account, but the restaurant manager insisted that the payment is not credited to their account and will be revered by bank to us. Finally we had to pay by cash. Now we are waiting for the reversal of payment.

I was thoroughly delighted with the lunch I ordered from the hotel. The flavors were exquisite, and it's clear that the chefs put a lot of care into crafting each dish. The presentation was impeccable, and the food arrived at my doorstep still warm and fresh. The portion sizes were generous, making it a satisfying and fulfilling meal. It's evident that the hotel values not only the taste but also the quality of their food. I'm truly impressed by the seamless delivery experience and the attention to detail in every aspect. This meal from the hotel was a wonderful culinary experience that I'll eagerly look forward to repeating.

Not often can one like most of the dishes served in a thaali or a buffet, but there are a few places which can stand against all odds. Shree Thaker Bhojanalay is one of those few places. They serve Gujarati Thali, and each of the dishes stand out. I honestly do know the names of all the dishes, but right from the starters to the dessert... You are thoroughly treated to some amazing dishes. You might think the food is their core area, but I think it is their staff. They make you feel welcome and keep offering more politely. It's one of those places I would really like to return and it's worth a return many times. The food is served via a token system, so you have to take tokens first. It could have been 5 stars, but there is no provision for parking, which can be a bummer for a some.

Had a wonderful time with the family, the food was utterly butterly delicious.... So many dishes were served that I lost counts of them 😀, the desserts were also very tasty. The service was excellent, serving staff were very efficient, well mannered and very fast... The best part was that the place was not noisy...

On a lazy Sunday morning when it was pouring rather heavily outside, I decided to travel to the other side of town to visit an iconic place, @shreethakerbhojanalay which had been on my must visit places for a long time. Travelling through the narrow congested lanes of Kalbadevi, I battled with mixed emotions and kept questioning my decision. The excitement of finally visiting the place with fellow food lovers and getting a hot homemade meal served to me overpowered my concerns- Will the food be oily or sweet?What if I ended up wasting food?etc We arrived first to avoid the crowd and sat in for a rather early lunch. The large empty thalis were intimidating for someone with a small appetite. Yet the posters of ''avoid food wastage" intrigued me. For many food joints that serve unlimited food put them up but actively did nothing about it, but this place was different. The service started with a wide range of flavourful papads, chutneys & pickles. Then came the 4 sabzis ranging from dry, semi-dry to gravies. 2 types of dals and kadhi- sweet or savory, followed by different rotis- phulkas, puris, bhakri, and biscuit roti. Lastly, we had the classic white dhokla and pakoda along with the desserts- shrikhand, amras and moong halwa. Surprisingly, none of the food was oily or super sweet ( not even the desserts). In fact, each of the items was unique in flavour, aroma and textures, so much so that apart from the occasional incidents of guessing certain ingredients in a dish, there was hardly any talk at the table. But here was the best part- the food was served in a certain order and just enough to tingle the taste buds and that kind of helps you decide what one liked, thus reducing wastage. The staff asked for preferences ( sweet or savory), especially when it comes to dals, kadhis, desserts and they remember them. If you ask for a second helping, they get a fresh and hot serving. Lastly, nothing was forced upon or rushed. It was a memorable experience with empty plates, full tummies, content hearts & a lot of food for thought & conversation.

Have been a Thaker patron for years and I am glad to state that this restaurant stands behind its delicious thali which is a smorgasbord of farsan, chutney, dessert and mains. The service is epitome of Indian hospitality and grace. Thanks for serving the Mumbaikars over the years. Will be back🙏🏽

Scrumptious Indian veg Thali - For quite sometime, we were thinking to feast on the best Gujarati thali in Mumbai.So finally visited Shree Thaker Bhojanalay, started in 1945 and they serve this unlimited and also one of the biggest Gujarati thali. I was surprised to see their quality and quantity of food, it was simply delicious. For a while, I thought I am attending some big fat Gujarati wedding with loads of foods. Perfect assortment of delicious food in one platter. From Chutneys, Starters, Main course, Indian bread, varieties of rice and yes not to forget the Gujrati desserts, all did justice to each and every penny you spent. So a must visit place if you have a love for authentic Gujarati thali and you are in Mumbai. Price per person - 800 Rs/- All days

This hotel's food really surpassed my expectations in every way. The on-site restaurant served a mouthwatering selection of dishes, each one lovingly crafted and brimming with flavor. Every meal, from breakfast to dinner, was a delicious gastronomic adventure. Fresh food and flawless presentation were used. The friendly staff made thoughtful suggestions and made sure that each dining experience was enjoyable. I was genuinely impressed by the hotel's dedication to providing top-notch cuisine. Definitely a recommendation for foodies!

I fell in love with the staff. Amazing people making super delicious food. I’m a newbie when it comes to Indian food but they were the best at showing me the best way to taste the servings. Lovely experience.

One of the beautiful restaurants in ITC Maratha. Usually for guest dine in. We went there for our stay in ITC and we had Breakfast and Dinner there. Look wise the restaurant is spectacular and hospitality is good too and if I talk about food they usually serve Indian and continental and the taste was really good. Indian cuisine offered was really delicious and we really liked the dinner menu there though it wasn't offering more varieties in the menu as compared to the other 5 stars hotel and if I talk about the Breakfast, the menu was limited and few of the things we didn't like but overall it was not that bad. At last we had a nice stay there with good food.

The menu is very thoughtfully selected by the management. At many places, lot of dishes are added to a brunch just to add to the count and after trying them one feels they were better skipped. At Peshwa Pavilion, not one dish seemed to be out of place. Even the minute details like chutneys and papads were top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, the seafood section needs a special mention - baby lobster, Bombay duck, prawns, variety of fish, octopus, sushi! The dessert section was also phenomenal. Lost count of how many servings we took of the jalebi rabdi. Even the pastries and eclairs was amazing. All and all a definite 5 star rating for the experience!!

The buffet-style dinner was good, although the food selection is limited in some respects. The selection of desserts is good, with Shahi Tukda standing out. Overall, for the price paid, additional dishes or a wider selection of food could have been offered. The interior is fantastic with high ceilings and you feel like you are in a palace.

We went to celebrate our anniversary in Peshwa Pavilion as we absolutely love the spread there. The food and ambience were just perfect as usual. Prompt service and super attentive staff are their forte. Chef Shyamal Kumar ensured that our day was made extra special in every which way. Thank you Chef for everything!!! The manager Mr. Ramkrishna was around all through to check if we were comfortable and were enjoying ourselves. The cake was absolutely lip smacking! A must, must visit place to celebrate all your special occasions and also whenever you want to be pampered.

If you have stayed in ITC Maratha, this restaurant can’t be missed. Situated in the atrium of the property, it is one the most beautiful restaurant where we have dined. Ambiance is excellent and service superb. The buffet restaurant serves breakfast for guests and also doubles up as coffee shop. Food is tasty in line with ITC culinary experience.

I was a little underwhelmed by the breakfast selection at this place, particularly given the price point. However, I must say that the pancakes with maple syrup were delicious, and the omelette was a real treat. The ambience of the restaurant was stunning, which added to the overall experience. They had a wide variety of tea cakes to choose from. They also had diverse range of Indian dishes, including dosa, idli, chole bhature, sabudana khichdi, aalo paratha etc. On the downside, the bacon was a disappointment as it was overcooked and difficult to chew. Nevertheless, the staff were incredibly polite and accommodating.
