I found such a great number of interesting monuments and buildings. The Kremlin is situated here at an arms length you can find the beautiful St. Basil cathedral and in the same perimeter the fanciful GUM stores with some very fine dining and the best of international retail.

The “must go” place when in Moscow. The buildings surrounding the square are historic and beautiful, among others are the St. Basil’s Cathedral, the Kremlin Wall, Lenin’s Mausoleum, the State Historical Museum, GUM shopping complex. It will take a whole day to venture into each of the buildings. Do come at early morning to avoid the crowd. This place is on my bucket list, which I happily ticked off. Alhamdulillaah.

This museum is not at the address informed for three years now!! The correct address is at Vystavochnaya station. This needs to be corrected. It is a nice space, only in Russian.

This is the wrong address and it’s very hard to find this museum. To make a long story short, you need to follow the signs to Vystavochnaya (выставочная) metro station. Right before the gates, you’ll see the museum. If you still can’t find it, show locals this photo and ask them for directions.

I'm grateful to visit this cathedral because it has a lot of historical stories under this beautiful architecture which I rate as top of the world.

One of many great cathedrals in Russia. St.Basil's Cathedral is the iconic image of Red Square and rightly so. If you climb the steep stairs to the top of the central tower there is a small Nave. On the day I visited I had the good fortune to see the monks chanting a prayer which everyone stopped to listen to. The chant reverberated round the central dome and sounded magnificent. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍

St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow Visited on 5/10/2019 Any tourist comes to Moscow must not miss visiting St. Basil's Cathedral. It is an Orthodox church in Red Square near the Kremlin. St. Basil's is a cluster of buildings - a central church surrounded by nine auxiliary churches, eight dedicated to Ivan's eight victories over the Tatars. The cathedral’s original colour was said to be white to match the white stone of the Kremlin, while the domes were gold. In the 17th century, the façade and domes began to be painted in multi-colours like what are today. They look very "cute" to say the least. The Red Square is big, but mist of the visitors gather around the section near the St Basil's Cathedral to have a memorable snap shot. The building is now a museum, but my wife's and my nain objective is have close encounter of this unique architecture in the world. I encourage those who can spare more time, do explore the interior and the museum.

Absolutely stunning exterior and well preserved interior (and artifacts). About £10 each to get in - you can get a free COVID test at the GUM across the road which allows you to enter as a foreigner. (Top floor of the GUM - you can't miss it). English and also Russian text descriptions of everything.

It is mainly a church with a very excellent structure. It is more than 200 years old. It a very known tourist spot in moscow. The place is packed with people always. At Christmas they use new decorations at St basil’s cathedral. The red square is really close to it. There are many restaurants near this cathedral. The inside has old arts and paintings.It is near to the most known shopping mall in moscow “gym”.

If you wish to enter into the mausoleum, you'll have to endure the queue, especially at this summer period. The park benches are quite welcome for the tired tourist. Also no photography is permitted within Lenin's mausoleum,as a mark of respect. The change of guards is the highlight of any visit.. mesmerizing! The nearby ice cream stands are welcome during the summer heat!

Many magnificent cathedral and only one weapon museum .

Absolutely beautiful, especially for someone like myself who was originally born in Moscow. It was raining but that let me take beautiful people-less shots! Highly recommend buying the full access pass, but only if you like Russian history. The cathedrals are beautiful.

Beautiful place with a rich history, energized atmosphere, and incredible architecture. Highly recommend the tour of the inside of the Kremlin, where you can visit cathedrals dating back to the 13th century. Great place to be anytime during the day, but especially at night! (I would also advise making a stop at the eternal flame, which honors the loss of soldiers' lives in WWII).

Amazing, a must see place. Have a tour that takes in the Cathedrals and the Treasury museum, spectacular. Finish it off by visiting Red Square in the evening, with everything lit up. Update Sep 2023 - that review didn't age very well!! 😲 Maybe we can revisit in about 20 years....

Must visit. 3 things to see- the bridge while entering the Kremlin, cathedral square, go up the tower, and armoury. If short on money skip the armoury. Washroom is free inside. Small snacks available. They are strict about closing times.

Don’t miss this tour even if you are not a fan of museums .. believe me it worth it , don’t forget your ID to inter . I think it’s one of the best things you can do it in Moscow

It has its beauty in winter it's breath taking In summers it's so much beautiful In evenings dark blue sky and red walls around Black grey road. Makes it the most beautiful location for pictures. I have never ever experience such an amazing place till now my whole life you have to visit the Kremlin Square if possible once in your lifetime it should & must be a part of your bucket list. It is so peaceful once you have seen & felt this amazing place you will never want to go back but as all good things should never been let apart. The most brilliant thing is the carnival which is held outside of the fort is truly breathtaking no words can define this place I wish I could write more about it this is the real experience which is a must....

A must to visit if you are visiting Moscow! What a great shopping mall is this ! All the expense brands are located here like Rolex, Cartier, Salvatore Ferragano, Hermes, basically all the expensive watch brands etc etc. Maybe a weird advice but also visit the “historic toilet” which looks like a palace toilet! It’s a real USSR shopping mall. Highly recommended to visit!

It is an amazing place with great atmosphere. The shopping experience was great, the variety of the different boutiques makes the shopping experience easier and enjoyable. You have to try their famous ice cream and gelato that can be found all over the mall, the information desk is really helpful they can speak English and are ready to help you. money exchange service is available in the mall. The washrooms are also clean, there is a fee for using the washroom which is a great idea .

The place is at the heart of Red Square. It's good place to visit. Many shops with local and international brands are available with beautiful decorations all around. Not many restaurants are available inside the mall but you can still find a nice place to dine in. I recommend it

This architecture building so wonderful its classy im in love with gum. Its very classical building so many tenants in here. Inside the mall the have fountain in every corner they have chair that you can sit down and eat some famous ice cream gum. This ice cream vey famous and has many flavors the price of ice cream its moderate. If come to gum don’t forget to buy ice cream.

The worst shopping experience in my life! First, the restroom located only on the first and second floor. And it is cost $1! Can you imagine that the restroom in the middle of Moscow, Red square is paid! It’s insane! They also saved on the escalators, they are going only down but not up😂Also I don’t trust the quality of the products, they look like fake to be honest. Especially now, when Russia doesn’t have import from other countries. I would not trust this place!

It's the largest mall and everything inside it it is really expensive. But you need to try the ice-cream inside it's superb. And also you need to pay 100-200 rub to take a leak inside the mall. It's located on the red square. Visit red square in the night it's really great. Also you can get some awesome clicks. One of the interface is from the street where it is covered from lights all over. Have fun.

The food and drinks were alright - nothing too special. The ambiance however was excellent. Live classical music being played, well dressed waiters in an amazing, historical location.

In my opinion this place is a must if you visit Moscow. Yes, it is a little expensive but worth every cent. The atmosphere brings you back throughout history, interior is breathtaking. Food is simply delicious and waiters are top class. It is a cousy and warm place and, again, I would highly recommend it.

Overall this place is getting a five star even though the particular dish I ordered what's it like out there wasn't stunning but it was still pretty good. The big thing for me is the environment and the service and violinist and harpists. It takes you back to a very different time and makes you feel like you're royalty enjoying a dinner at court.

A nice and chique restaurant with a rich history located near Pushkin Square. Ambiance and location is ofcourse fantastic. Food is good too like in all 4+ star restaurants in Russia. On a more negative note you Really notice the difference if you are with locals or only with foreigners visiting this restaurant. Let me give you an example: I have been here many, many times and when I am here with locals the service is much better. When I am alone or with business partners, they default place us on the ground floor and not in the library l, second floor. Also the borsch is serviced without bread and cream (duhhhhhh) why is that?!? This didn’t happened to me when I visited it with locals, too bad…. Last time I was here service level was much higher, that’s why I have a 4 star! Shout out to the live music players , violins and harp, excellent!!!!!!!

One would think that such a famous and busy restaurant to be a tourist attraction and average quality but it is totally the opposite. It is a true authentic and top-notch restaurant where taste and service are not compromised at all.

Restaurant located in gum department store 3/f taste just so so. Take a rest is fine. for tea or dessert break but not good for dinner. recommended choice is bake apple

Afforable soviet kitchen. I suggest chicken products, salats and makaroni. Others are a bit weird for me. I didn't like pickles, I don't suggest.

I cannot describe how happy I am to have discovered this place!! Who would have thought that in a fancy mall with lots of couture brands you can find a modest and so worth place like this to eat?! I'm fascinated; decent prices, good options and literally fabulous food! Super tasty Russian food, the place is also kept clean all the time. I was eating there every day, it's too affordable and too good!

Yeah, food is decent, wouldn't really suprize you much, what you are really here for is for the experience, to experience the soviet dinning halls and capture the whole atmosphere, the whole key of the place it's located "GUM" is that no matter how much time goes, it never gets old or outdated, always remains it's own significance. Amazing western grill. Food was very good, and tasty, presentation and atmosphere was beautiful. We had good mixed seafood platter and ribeye state. Great staff and very friendly too.

Quite crowded place and popular for lunchtime, not very welcome staff 😒 (need to wait near the door until they will notice you and the same with orders). Also, the way of serving food and drinks is more from soviet time, so definitely not a restaurant level

Have been here many times since 2011, still a great place to eat in with friendly service and reasonable prices. A part of restaurant chain. Highly recommended. Update. October, 2020. Even during these unprecedented Covid times this restaurant remains a nice place to spend some time in. Friendly staff. Cards are accepted.

The Khachipuri was amazing. The dumplings were perfect. The meat was just OK... Overall I really liked the place. *Pay attention, they do not accept credit cards. Cash only.

Highly Recommend for chanterelles and veal fillet. Ice cream is awesome and environment is good for afternoon relax. Nice place to enjoy Georgian cuisine.

Vegetarian options available: we tried the veggie kafta, mushroom pelmeni and cheese khachapuri (liked all of them, specially the pelmeni). For dessert we tried Medovik, a traditional (and very good!) layered cake. Nice setting but there is little rooms between tables and it all sound a bit noisy (restaurant was almost full at the time of our visit). Price is low considering quality / presentation / size of dishes and restaurant setting. Highly recommended.

Good place with a nice and intimate atmosphere. As about meals, the pinza that we shared as a starter was delicious (Trentina). Then we enjoyed a delicious steak, perfectly cooked, from a high quality meat, and a very tasty risotto. Portions are quite small so you may want to order sides. For deserts, the tiramisu and the cheesecake were delicious. A bad point though: we wanted another desert with our coffee at 22:55 and the waitress said that it was not possible because the kitchen had already closed. A good point is that the chef was walking around in the restaurant.

Really delicious pizza, may be the best in town. Their seafood is pricey but is totally worth it!

Visited this place twice. The place is very popular, so you need to book a couple of days in advance. First time there I ordered only pinza and desert, all was very delicious. The second time I tried the following: Roman style veal escalope with prosciutto and sage - was a bit disappointed with this dish. Meat was too dry, portion was tiny for the price. Pinza with speck and truffles - tried it during my first visit and ordered again. Awesome, especially if you like truffles! Pinza with prosciutto - delicious Lime and cucumber lemonade - was too sweet to my taste. Did not taste lime that much. For parents: the place has a chair for babies
