Amazing experience. Went to the tour after seeing the Elvis movie and I was not disappointed. There was so much to see and the entry was easily worth it. Spent over 5 hours here and that was without reading everything. From the mansion, car museum, records, awards, costumes I was amazed with every step. Best museum I've been to hands down.

Amazing!!! We chose the ultimate VIP experience. It was expensive but very much worth it. I'm not sure I could ever go back without choosing the ultimate VIP package. Our tour guide was, quite simply, awesome. He was friendly, caring, knowledgeable, well spoken, and yeah, awesome. We were allowed to hold an actual Elvis artifact. In this case, one of the boots from his stage worn ensembles. We had to wear white gloves, which we got to keep, and they put the boot right in our hands. Wow. Also, the package included return to the house all day and front of line access to the shuttle back and forth to Graceland. Amazing!!!

Bucket List item accomplished!!! I am thrilled to have had the experience of visiting Graceland and all of the areas across the street containing Elvis's history and items. I was very moved while at the gravesite area...the mansion is beautiful. I highly recommend a visit, it was very interesting with lots and lots to see. We also had lunch at the diner named after Elvis's Mother. I must have taken over 200 photos, but can only share some here. We bought tickets in advance, not sure if it's the only way to do so, we went in the morning and it was very busy. We arrived at the main centre, where you park and checked in, then they drove a group of us across the street (in a small bus) to the mansion. It did feel a bit rushed, but I was able to see all areas where we were permitted to go. Back across the street where you begin, there are several buildings, one with all of his vehicles, one with all of his outfits and jewellery and albums, one with his military career items, one with personal items like books, baby items and gift shops and a restaurant. It was a great experience, I am very happy to have been able to visit.

OMG what can I say. I have been an Elvis fan all my life and finally crossed this off my bucket list which surpassed expectations! Easy to get to, shuttle across the street was simple. The house is better than what you have seen in pix. His style was so cool. The living rooms, kitchen, jungle room were so incredible. We went with mom on a wheelchair and she was able to see most (she was moved from stairs around back, very smooth). Backyard with horses was gorgeous. Seeing the pool and to the meditation garden where he and family are laid to rest was somber. Awesome to be able to pay respects to the king of rock n roll!!! We did the experience tour included the plane. Honestly don't know the difference between VIP and lower your. If cash is an issue go with least expensive option since seems like u see all there is. The plane was very cool and the interactive items after the tour were a lot of fun. Definitely recommend this to all fans

We loved it! Expect lines and a lot of waiting. Even if you buy a 9:00am ticket you may be there, in various lines, for an hour before you actually go in Graceland. Buy tickets online when planning your trip to get the best time. If you buy there you may be waiting hours to go on the tour. The home is beautiful and has been kept in its same condition since Elvis passed. You could easily spend five or six hours here looking at all of the memorabilia, his planes, cars, etc. Would definitely recommend going!

Visiting Graceland is a longtime wish come true. It's a surprisingly reliable experience it reminded me of my childhood especially the kitchen. The house reflects the owner, unique and over the top but still fun and somewhat charming. The car museum is fantastic, the stage outfits spectacular as expected. The archives and personal items are very interesting. The Icons exhibit was great it shows how Elvis has influenced many other musicians. It's an important place to see for anyone interested in American history and culture.

Special shout out to Sheila our tour guide. She gave an experience of a lifetime and truly brought the stories and facts of Graceland to life. To anyone who has wished to visit this beautiful property I fully encourage you to do so! It does not disappoint. Such a surreal feeling being on these grounds and touring the life of Elvis Presley.

My wife and I are big Elvis fans and this was a long time coming. And it definitely was worth the visit. We got the Ultimate VIP Package. That is the top package you can get. We loved every bit of our time there. We went on a hot day, so that was the only thing that we didn't like. But you spend most of the time inside the mansion, museums, gift shops, restaurants. You do have to walk down to the planes. But we loved it all. Would definitely go back again one day!

I had never taken the time to get to know Elvis but we went on a guided tour and got to explore and experience some pretty awesome things. I had such a great time and was really impressed with how well Elvis' things are being kept without taking out the authenticity of it. We got some awesome pictures and even got to white glove, touch one of Elvis' guitars. I have a new amazing appreciation for Elvis and his music and how he treated others.

Elvis is my mothers favorite person, even more so than my father! So I’m shocked it took me over 40 years to come say hi. I took a million pictures here and I’m so sad I can only post 50 so you’ll have to go to see the rest! This place is amazing! I felt so many emotions walking through this home and then through all the museums across the street. I felt like every aspect was so well thought out, creating an emotional response in me. From the good to bad to sad, you get it all. I highly recommend the VIP experience, too. You get to see rooms others don’t get to, plus depending on your level of VIP you either get a tour guided group or a headset. Granted, it’s a little costly, but I think it was worth it. If you find yourself in Memphis, I can’t say enough great things about Graceland. Make sure to stay at the Guesthouse, too!

Graceland is a site I feel everyone should visit, but it’s a bit too commercial. There’s so many different packages you can buy and they all cost a lot of money. The complex is also always packed with people and the experience doesn’t feel intimate at all. At the same time, you are touring Elvis’s estate and getting to look up close at plenty of important artifacts. The tour includes all the rooms on the first floor of the mansion, other buildings on the property, Elvis’s grave, Elvis’s private planes, his expansive car collection, and the huge museum area with countless personal possessions from Elvis and Graceland. There’s plenty of signs that give valuable information about what you’re seeing and there’s iPads with headsets to give you a virtual tour. Unfortunately, the staff is very grouchy and not very hospitable. This place definitely needs better management and needs to be more friendly, but I’d still recommend visiting Graceland because there’s so much to see and learn. It’s a very fun and knowledgeable experience overall.

Good experience for first timers but after walking around all day through tours, its a lot. Wear comfy shoes. We paid for the VIP tour. Not certain it's worth it. You get a guide giving you insights on things. They also include a couple more private areas but nothing over the top for the cost of VIP. Overall if you haven't toured, it's worth a ticket, just not a VIP IMHO.

Fully enjoyed this experience was definitely one of the best museums I have ever visited. The tour of the mansion itself was very informative and eye opening to see how Elvis lived. And while that was entertaining my favourite parts were actually the other museums such as the career one, I enjoyed seeing parts of Elvis past and also all of his outfits and awards, it's mind blowing to actually see it all in one room, and think about the immense influence that Elvis had and still has. Would 100% recommend visiting if you're in Memphis.

This experience was one in a lifetime. It's great to learn and read about our history in the textbook, but this museum brought the textbook to life! It was so emotional yet such an amazing experience. I would recommend for family trips, school field trip; any kind of trip. One must visit this museum at least once in their lifetime. It was well put together! Job well done. It was everything in one (educational, emotional, inspirational)!

A very powerful and moving museum that I think everyone should visit in their lifetime. The museum, which is housed inside the Lorraine Hotel where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and killed, covers much more than this assassination, from slavery to civil rights. The final exhibit takes you right by the hotel room where King actually stayed, and gives you a clear view of the balcony. I really can’t think of any drawbacks to this experience. The staff are professional and helpful and the museum is clean/well designed. Know that some areas and exhibits do not permit photography of any kind. Definitely go if you get the chance!

I really enjoyed my first visit. My husband and daughter who's 10 joined me. There were a few emotional moments but overall it was informative, well put together, there was a lot of information. It was not crowded because of the time stamped tickets purchased online. We were expecting a 1 and half hour visit but we were there for about 2 hours and 45mins. This was a great experience and I'm glad I came. There's also a gift shop with lots of great keepsakes and fairly priced. I took lots of photos but I won't post many of them because I don't want to ruin your experience.

It was honor to be in that spot. They have operating hours and I was late so I couldn’t get in. But I was able to stand and go through the motel from fence area. The marble explaining the story was really impressive and you can also see the mansion opposite to the hotel from here Sir MLK was shot. Pretty dark history but they have maintained the place well. It’s moving and must visit.

This was my first and only emotionally intense yet educational museum experience. I left this place with a very heavy heart. A must see for everyone to learn the REAL civil rights movement in a time frame back from the slavery to 1960s. They don't and most probably won't teach you this stuff in the school... We spent an hour because the museum was going to close but I'd definitely spend more time here next time, a lot to digest.

This was the second time I have visited this museum. I have spent over three hours there and could easily spend more. Such a well done museum. Dr. King’s hotel room brought so many emotions. Also seeing all of the history that we were not taught was amazing and eye opening. A must see in Memphis!

One of the best museums I've been to. The facility is well-maintained and the staff was warm and inviting. This museum will make you sad, it make you think, make you angry, it will make you feel so many things all at once. But mostly it will make you want to add your voice to the fight for an end to inequity of all Americans and of those wishing to become part of our nation. We are better than our ignorant and unjust past. This reminder of the dark times we've weathered, and still are, should be mandatory viewing by all those in federal public office so they might be motivated to add their voices and finally shine the light of true freedom on all.

If you haven’t been I highly recommend it was an amazing experience and very well put together. I went to eat beforehand and was told in a very stern manner that I couldn’t bring my food in but this nice young gentleman by the name of Rodney or Ronald who is the security guard there saved my food for me until the end just wanted him to know he’s appreciated. I also want to say the staff was very nice and knowledgeable.

This museum is a must see, and beautifully designed! Employees are very pleasant, clearly love their jobs and are extremely professional. So grateful I was able to experience this. The National Civil rights museum is something that you need a lot of time and patience to go to. This place is awesome I highly recommend it, but go early so you can take your time and read through the history. If you are ever in Memphis this is a must on your tourist list it's only $18 for adults.

If you are a tourist, it is a must see if you are in Tennessee & worth the price of admission. If you are a Tennessee resident with state-issued ID you should definitely visit the museum for free on Mondays from 3 p.m. until closing. It is a transforming experience. It makes you realize how far we have come, but also how far we still need to go. It shows how children were separated because of the color of their skin. Even though the children are no longer separated because of the color of their skin I reflected on how they are still separated. As a former teacher, I saw how the income level of the community reflected the population of the schools in the community. Therefore separation by social status and income is still very apparent in the school system today. This museum does an awesome job at honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his legacy, and bringing awareness to his purpose. It is sad that he died that way, but his memory & purpose can live on through the future generations. Praying 🙏 for our world 🌎 and people live together peacefully regardless of their skin color as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was peacefully protesting for. 💚🌎✌️

I'm not gonna lie, but visiting this place was very eerie, emotional, gave me goosebumps. It felt like I was there when it happened. I love there educational videos that you can watch to get the full story.

DH and I enjoyed the museum. Very detailed and enlightened. Although we feel like more details regarding the KKK should’ve been added. I experienced many emotions during the tour. The heart wrenching segment for me was where the slaves were on the ship and the sounds of the cries of pain and hurt then they were hit with a whip. As well as the sound of the whip striking them. Be aware that it will take a minimum of two hours to complete, therefore, you should wear comfortable shoes and not heals like I did.

To take in the full experience you need to alot a few hours. This was a really well done museum with many exhibits but it is not self guided- it is a tour and takes time to get through. Absolutely worth a stop.

This zoo is so fantastic. We are used to a free zoo, and this was certainly pricey. But we thought it was worth it. We got the all inclusive wristbands… and we walked with kangaroos, fed the giraffes, rode the train and rides, and splashed in the fountain. The grounds are huge (We walked 4.5 miles) —But mostly shaded. We felt it was so very clean and not crowded. 5 stars

Incredible experience! As someone who has visited multiple zoos in the past year, I would have to say this one takes the cake. Each section is crafted with care, and the animals are very interactive and friendly. It seems like they are well-treated as well. There is such a variety here that it’s fun for the whole family! Tickets are $20, but it is by far worth it for a great experience.

We were in town to watch Mississippi State University play Texas Tech in the Liberty Bowl and got the chance to go to the Memphis Zoo and it was very nice! The animals were all happy and active! and certainly well taken care of! There were a lot of people but buying tickets and getting to see all the animals was very easy, because the zoo is laid out and run very well. We got to watch a polar bear dance! Panda eat and eat and eat fresh bamboo! Orangutan kid swing and jump and climb until his Mom came out and slowed him down... :) and the lights - oh my goodness did they have decorative lights everywhere! My wife, our 3 kids, our uncle Barry, and me all had a great time and I highly recommend the Memphis Zoo!

Very nice zoo, clean and well laid out. I wish some of the enclosures were larger, though. All the animals looked healthy and well cared for. The water park for kids is large and looks like a lot of fun. We walked pretty much the entire zoo in four hours, although if all the exhibits had been active we could have spent another couple of hours.

The place is overall nice. Water was dirty at majority of the exhibits. The train ride was about 3 minutes. nice but not worth the wait in line. The scenery and architecture was very good, actually better than the animals. The China exhibit was very nice as well.

The zoo is great but they need help with some of their employees. We asked for total experience tickets and they sold us general admission. They were closing early in the afternoon the day we went but google said they were open till 5:00. They person that “helped us” with the ticket issue said they don’t “own google” and can’t do anything about what they show. She apparently has zero experience with that because as a business owner I know WE control the information we supply to google about our business. She also said they had “pop ups” on the website but I was all over the zoo website for a couple of days and never saw a pop up about the hours that day. Please, people, train your employees better. The splash pad was closed. We saw one open food truck. We drove two hours to visit the Memphis zoo.

Had a great time. They are adding a splash pad on for the kiddos to play in. All of the animals seemed in good health. The zoo staff was very helpful giving us information about the critters. Made our trip well worth it.

I had not been to the Memphis Zoo since my kids were very small and was excited to be able to bring my grandson for his first zoo trip! The zoo was very clean, the animals look well kept and the staff was very friendly and informative. The zoo has grown since the last time we were there and unfortunately we were not able to experience the whole park. But we cannot wait for our next visit. The only disappointment was the food- not all food facilities were open and what we did purchase was not very good. Everything else was great. Loved the nocturnal area and the butterflies! The giraffe feeding was a cool experience! Would definitely recommend to all ages...

It feels small and older. Perhaps my zoo expectations are high as I live in an area with high ranking zoos and therefore my perception is askew The enclosures for the large animals seemed small for them. They didn't seem very happy. And I think the large cat exhibits don't have big enough barriers for current recommendations. We were very disappointed that there were parts of the zoo that we had to pay extra to visit. Butterflies and kangaroos specifically. And with everyone feeding the giraffes, there were no giraffes to just see from the other side for free. None of the children's/petting area animals were out, which was a disappointment for us The splash park is a nice feature. I can see that being very attractive with younger children. We appreciated the nocturnal building. That was well laid out and fun. The zoo is laid out nicely and we had no problems traversing it. Though there is no android app to get a digital map. Maybe just a link to an online map would be better than an app to download? It wasn't the worst zoo I've visited, but it just felt old and out dated.

I absolutely loved this museum. There is a short 12 minute film giving brief history of Memphis music. Afterwards you are given a headset and can enter numbers on display to hear history of each display. The museum is next to Fed Ex Forum and Beale Street so a great location. It has a very nice gift shop and all of the employees are very friendly and helpful. What I enjoyed most was the short film and how it showed that musicians didn’t see color when making music even in 1950’s. They worked together to create art!!! The love for music trumped focus on a skin complexion. I learned a lot about the history of music in Memphis by visiting this museum and Musicians Music Hall of Fame Memphis. I had no idea that Ike Turner, Al Green, Otis Redding, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis et al started out in studios in Memphis. Even learned about the Phillip brothers producing most of them. They wanted to make a way so black singers could be heard all over the country and did it. What an interesting history. Memphis was the first city to record and distribute black artist!!! This museum even gives the history of share croppers and music. How men and women would be in cotton fields singing gospel and how the music graduated to blues, rock and soul. The sounds were the key. This is a wonderful museum and I highly recommend visiting if in Memphis and love music history. Plan to spend 2-3 hours. I went around 3pm Saturday and it was a little crowed. I recommend going during week or earlier in morning if want to move freely throughout museum. It wasn’t horrible bad but was hard to get to certain displays because of the crowds at each.

They have a self guided audio tour that explains the different exhibits and you have the option of listening to several songs by different artists. We enjoyed the tour and there was lots of history and interesting information learned.

A small museum that presents a detailed view of the history of Memphis music. A wealth of information is presented through a short introductory film, photographs, artifacts and text. The audio tour is excellent. You input a three digit code on your individual headset to access narrated segments and songs. A small gift shop is on premises. They sell a "Backstage Pass" for $89 that gives you additional admission to Sun Studios, Graceland and the Stax Museum. We did the museum in 90 minutes. A very educational experience for music lovers.

The staff here is awesome. There is so much music history to learn about. Give yourself a few hours. The tour is interactive. You can read about the exhibits and you have an iPad and head set to select recordings. Very cool.

Great museum chock full of history. Lots of cool neon signage. They also give you an audio device (not an extra charge! Wow!) that really lets you interact with the exhibits. Could spend a lot of time in there if you really wanted. Gift shop was pretty small though unfortunately.

Being the big blues fan that I am, I could have spent hours here but we were on a timeline. I loved the little movie at the beginning and all of the history. I didn't care much for some of the exhibits (mainly because they were artists I'm not a fan of, though I still appreciate the talent). I was particularly interested in the blues and soul exhibits. The staff was very friendly, too! On the way out, we dropped in the gift shop. My wife picked up a few guitar picks and I got a sticker to put on my pedal board. Highly recommend for anyone with an interest in music!

This museum was not originally on our list of museums to see but because of New Years some of the other spots were closed. However, we were pleasantly surprised! The location is super convenient, right beside the FedEx center and Beale Street. At the beginning of the museum there is a short intro film and then you get to go around and look at all the exhibits. The audio guide is super helpful and you get to play many songs from the period. Definitely recommend!

Really great museum (affiliated with the Smithsonian)! The self-guided tour lets you go at your own pace. And you can listen to some great recordings!

This was such a cool museum. There's a short video at the beginning and then you get a headset so you can scan each exhibit and listen to the background. Some exhibits allow you to choose music to listen to. I really enjoyed taking the time to view the exhibits I liked and to take photos. I learned a lot about how far we've come. I can't imagine having one battery that lasts 3 months in a radio and having to wait until you can afford to buy another one month later. It was also really cool learning about the first black radio station.

Wonderful. Cannot recommend enough if you are into American history, music in general, fashion and/or popular and advertising art. Incredibly worth it, and we left with swag that was high quality and had good prices. The staff was also excellent, kind, informative and easy to work with. Good masks!

We went on family day, free admission. Some very cool memorabilia, including vintage instruments and recording equipment. There was a band playing classic mowtown hits originally recorded at Stax which made for a memorable visit. Highly recommend.

Great experience. This was my first visit. It was amazing to see and hear some of the artists of my era. Listening and viewing singers that I loved in the 70's 80's and 90's when music was enjoyable, respectful, and pleasing to your ear. It was if I was walking down memory lane. The ladies group I was with, also enjoyed themselves by singing, dancing, laughing and reminiscing about the good old days when we were young and popping to the music. Some remembered seeing Issac Hayes ride around Memphis in his Cadillac trimmed in gold. It is on display there. There are many exciting things to see so I say, if you have not been there, go. You are welcomed by a nice group of people who work there and they invite you to watch a documentary about Stax in early years. You can take pictures as you please in the museum. Enjoyment for a retiree like myself...........65 Jjones🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶

It’s a museum that tries to give the feeling of the old Stax studios were soul music started. It shows how especially African American music started from gospel and through the years evolved into soul rock and disco. Very interesting displays. They did a good job creating the museum from the old studio.

On a sightseeing trip in Memphis, one of our stops was at Stax Museum. I was like walking back in time and seeing some of the greatest soulful singers that ever lived. You can buy music on CDs and records. They have good deals on their souvenirs.

Stax museum is very much a traditional "lots of boards to read with some exhibits" type. As such, it's quite dry even if interesting with an important story to tell. It's more akin to an extended, slightly disjointed, Wikipedia article with exhibits. It might be better served with a clear timeline followed as you walk through. It really is worth a visit, however, and we also were treated to a free performance by a funk and soul brass band, Lucky 7, which was amazing!

History! The staff was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and superb! Definitely a must see for all musically inclined individuals. At a great admission price, there's no reason to not go.

Loved it! Don't skip the intro movie - it's fascinating and gives you insight to the exhibits. The museum is arranged to follow the development of the music. I couldn't stop moving while reading the displays, because of all the music that envelops you. Only negative was when a group of school kids came in. They ran around and would bump into you. Also, even though the signage indicated masks were required, none of the kids and some adults weren't wearing them.

Absolutely amazing place!! We had our family reunion dinner here. It was a private affair. Beautifully restored pictures and paintings of artists with their biographies hanging on the walls. These musicians changed history by using their platforms to help shape social justice. Artists such as Sam Cooke, Issac Hayes, Tina Turner and Ben E King just to name a few. Great place to host private events. There are security guards outside and inside were kind and polite. Bathrooms are clean and well kept. The parking lot is in the back of the building.

I loved this museum. The host was knowledgeable and very friendly. It started with a short film. Followed by a self guided tour through time. I had no idea how much of their music that I knew. It was very enlightening. I would highly recommend

I was expecting the best fried chicken ever. While it was indeed good, excellent crunch it was lacking a bit in flavor for me. The best thing I ate was the fried green tomato. I will say the service we were offered was VERY good. I wish I remembered our servers name but great service.

As soon as I saw the sign, I new we had to try Gus’s. We stopped in after we got back from the Zoo. It was literally 1/2 block from our Airbnb. The atmosphere was really cool, service excellent and the chicken was awesome. Our server Travisha was super friendly and helpful with the menu. My wife loved the fried pickle spears and I loved the pecan pie!

We waited about an hour to get a seat and it was well worth the wait. The chicken was crispy, hot, fresh, juicy, and flavorful. It had just enough kick to it. The mac n cheese and beans were also delicious. Our service was quick and friendly. Gus's is a must-try. I'd definitely make a trip back here.

I was slightly disappointed by the fried chicken. The spices were really good. This isn’t Nashville hot chicken. The spice blend add flavor but isn’t hot. But, I have had more flavorful and moist fried chicken elsewhere. If you are visiting town, give it a go. It’s a famous restaurant and worth a shot. The atmosphere is great. The service is speedy.

Gavin was a doll but he doesn't listen well at all. We ordered a 2 piece he bought a 3 piece, never allow yourself to ignore a customer request. Never order the sweet tea if you like your tea sweet. The fried green tomatoes were delicious but that honey mustard sauce was so watery. Parking is crazy at this location and so is traffic so please be mindful if coming here to dine. Over all try this place just make sure you double check your order if you on a buffet.

One of the few "destination" restaurants that actually lives up to the hype. If this isn't the best fried chicken you've ever had, it'll at least rank in the top 5. The chicken is crispy, juicy and flavorful with a nice, satisfying kick at the end..The Mac and Cheese is baked and was very good as well. If you come here during the lunch or dinner rush, expect to wait a bit for a table and for your food. There will also be a clutch of takeout customers parading in and out. But, really, the food is worth the wait and the crowd.

I can see what all the fuss is. The chicken was very tender and juicy. My breading was a touch over cooked but still amazing. The wings were a little tiny, but they gave me two to make up for it. The sides were ok. But they did not outshine the chicken. Be prepared to wait; not only for a table, but after you order, the wait was almost as LL f to get my food. I guess I could have ordered an appetizer!

Chicken was impeccable as the star🌟 of a show should always be and seasoned to perfection! The chicken was hot and juicy. It was definitely worth the wait and trip. The baked beans did not disappoint either. 😋 As for the mac & cheese, it was lackluster. If you like cafeteria style mac & cheese with a somewhat thick cheese sauce, you won't be disappointed. The dessert, on the other hand, was delicious. Be sure sure to get a slice of sweet potato pie! You can have it served at room temperature or warmed up. I opted for warmed up! I do wish the crust was a little thicker, though. The wings have to be favorite thing on the menu as just about everyone ordered them! Service was good and food came in a timely fashion! You can see the cooks constantly dropping chicken (in the grease) for orders every minute. If staying downtown, you can easily get there via trolley or bus and walk 1 block.

Atmosphere is electric. Beer and liquor flow like a silk river here. The musical talent is second to none with The Memphis Royals absolutely killing it! Ron provided impeccable service, always on point and a step ahead of our wants. Catfish bites were perfectly cooked, delectable little bites of moist fish with a crunch corn meal exterior. The tarter and Come Back sauce just push it over the top. Heard others comment that the meatloaf and ribs are both great. Great views of the band from almost any seat due to back seats being high tops. Bring tip money, always someone around to help you out. Men’s room attendant makes sure you don’t have to even turn the water on at the sink our get your own soap. Hand towel draped across your shoulder for convenience. Guy is the bomb! 6/9 update: meatloaf is amazing. Grilled on both sides to give a little crust, bacon wrapped edges. Vegetables are delicious. Asked Ron what desert I wanted and he said “Strawberry Shortcake,” and he was right. Best I’ve ever had.

Sept 10, 2023 - Memphis, TN Beale St. I wish I had read the lowest reviews first and saw that they were very recent reviews, too, and had a plan B. First, we, too, were charged $10/pp cover for music. The music was good, and we really wanted to try some good Memphis BBQ. I know this is a tourist area, and there are other great BBQ areas all around. I didn't care to pay the cover, but we were already there. Food: The ribs and chicken were 2 out of 5. They were a bit dry. Not terrible enough to return the food back to the kitchen. I am not that picky. But it could have gone back. The server, sides and appetizer (fish bites) were great, though!

Passing through Memphis, I had a chance to visit Beale Street. I had lunch at the iconic B. B. King's Blues Club. There isn't a band during the day, but you can almost hear the blues band playing when you walk in and look around. Known for their BBQ Ribs, but I ordered the Blackened Catfish and Shrimp Creole. This is a spicy, flavorful dish. If you love Cajun food, I highly recommend it. Excellent! The service was outstanding as well. Don't miss the opportunity to visit, even if you are passing only through Memphis. Parking is easy, in the parking garage behind it.

Great place for live music... And the food was great too! Food was typical southern cuisine and BBQ. Music was very good. Only compliant would be that the music is very loud which makes it difficult to order and have conversations. So if you want to chat over dinner you may want to eat somewhere else and come back for drinks and music.

Oh my gosh, the food was fantastic. I got the shrimp and grits and it was everything I hoped for and more. I think I literally moaned. So delicious. My family ordered the ribs and chicken, and also said it was good (I tried the ribs. Yum!). The drinks are good, too! Yes, there is a $10 fee for each person at the door — for the live music! It’s worth it. The musician came over and introduced himself to us. Maybe touristy, but definitely delicious. ALMOST FORGOT TO MENTION THE FRIED PICKLES. I was put on this earth to eat pickles in all its forms. YUM!

We visited for a birthday weekend and enjoyed every moment at B.B. King’s. Our server/bartender Paul was ahhhmazing!!! He was very attentive and on point with everything. The food was delicious and the atmosphere with the band playing made for a perfect evening!

How could you go to Beale Street and not go enjoy some music at BB Kings? The atmosphere is truly amazing with the live music and how the place is set up. For a bar, this place had some really good food with the nachos being really good. The drinks were top notch as well. Slightly pricey, but expected for the touristy style place but worth it and worth it for the music alone.

We went on a Friday night, around 6. Not crowded, so we got or party of 3 seated quickly. Our server Tiffany was quick to take our drink & appetizer order. The tots and cocktails came out quickly. The band was terrific and Tiffany was attentive to our needs. Our order of chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits, & pulled pork plate came out timely & hot. Everything was delicious and plentiful. The drinks flowed smoothly, the band rocked, and a good time was had by all!!

Memphis Jones, the live band, was great. The food was yummy and the drinks were tasty. We were there around 5:00 on a Monday afternoon in March, no wait to get in. Two of us were going to get the ribs but they were out so we went with Chicken and Waffle and Meatloaf. The 14-year olds had wings and the Fried Platter. The chicken and waffle was really good. Meatloaf was tasty. The wings were meaty and perfectly cooked. The catfish was really good - coming from a 14-year who says she doesn’t like fish. When you go early enough it is a great spot to include the teens in live music and a bit of music history.

Had a lovely dinner in here. Service was amazing. Staff really friendly. Cocktails really nice. Yes it's 10 dollars in each but cocktails are cheaper and very good atmosphere. I just wish they had music/CD/dj between sets and breaks. Once band stops, there is an awful silence and it is really strange. Place was great and staff amazing.

We were here for a family reunion lunch. As the event planner, from setting this up to the actual date, Kathrine Corvelli, the National Sales Director was excellent. She was quick to respond to what probably seemed like endless questions and changes. The food, of course, was delicious and the service, (sorry I can't recall our server's name), was great! We had a lot of requests and they were handled promptly and professionally. The bartender was also polite and helpful with keeping me updated on the expense. The music was a highlight! I absolutely recommend a visit here!

If you are ever in Memphis on Beale St this is a MUST try! The service is fast and friendly. The food was so good I went 2 days in a row. Lol The gumbo is some of the best gumbo I’ve ever tasted. The shrimp was so huge! My brother enjoyed the ribs. He said they were falling off the bone. I was not disappointed!

Wonderful choices of food to pick from, but the Best Meal on Beal which includes ribs, catfish, slaw, beans and your choice of fries or new potatoes. Yeah, I went with the new potatoes and they were cook proper!! Ribs were delicious, fall off the bones and a good smoke flavor *no need for extra sauce,they were that good!! Catfish was also very good. Look forward to coming back to try out their other dishes. 5 star food, but our server didn’t seem so eager or happy to tend to us.🤷‍♂️

Absolutely fantastic diner on the famous Beale Street. We walked by and took a chance when the lady outside told us it was the best food in the city. She very well May have been right, because it was scrumptious soul food. I had the seafood gumbo which was excellent, and the pecan pie with vanilla ice cream was delicious. Somebody in our group had the apple dumpling with ice cream, and that was brilliant as well. Very much worth a visit, cheers.

The atmosphere is one full of energy. The music, the constant movement draws you into that soul air that Memphis is know for. The customer service is top notch. I cannot recall a time where a server was more attentive. I felt as if she was reading my mind. Bravo! The food is the weakest aspect. Maybe the meal I ordered. The chicken was sturdy. The salad was dry. I was dissatisfied.

Stopped in here from previous reviews alone. They serve huge portions. We ordered gumbo fries as an appetizer and not disappointed-soooooo delicious! We had 5 in our party and seated immediately, we arrived in the late afternoon. Our server never let us sit with an empty drink. Our food didn't take too long to come out. We had the Best Meal on Beale, the shrimp skillet, catfish, and steak and everyone enjoyed their meal! So delicious and so glad we chose to come here our one night in Memphis while on Beale St.

Glad I got to experience this place! The food is sooo delicious! The peacan pie and apple dumplings you must must must try! The seafood mushrooms are small and underwhelming for 12.99. The toast was nicely toasted and buttery. Everyone had catfish on their plates when I looked around, so that speaks volumes. The waiters and waitresses were friendly. Pretty packed inside. We came on Saturday around 8pm. The street was packed. But we didnt have to wait for a table. Cover on Beale street is $5 after a certain time. Would definitely come back!

I went with some friends to go out and eat before a Grizzles game. The food amount is very generous based on the price. I personally had the Catfish Plate and it tasted amazing. The restrooms are clean and nice.

Food is great, service can be described as interesting to good. Definitely better service at night than during the day and the same can be said for the atmosphere. The hostess treats you like you are lucky to be there. But mb you are as there is always a line. The waitstaff is eclectic but attentive. The food never disappoints and when there is music it's great albeit really loud!

The only place that could take our last minute request of our 15 person group! We only waited outside for about 15-20min. There are plenty of seats inside and live music of course!! My husband and I ordered a mix of catfish, ribs, and gumbo. It was good. Their ambiance was very Beale Street!

We wanted a high end restaurant to finish off memorial day weekend and we were not disappointed. The staff was excellent and treated us like long time customers even on our first visit. The food was nothing short of excellent. They have a unique way of ordering when the dinners are served in smaller portion flights that you get to enjoy. I was afraid this would result in small little dishes but the overall portion was good and we combined it with appetizers that really set the pace. I also would mention that the staff were very patient with our babies that needed a nap. Definitely would visit again when in the area.

First off, you can not beat the service here. Everyone was very professional and timely. I had the bone marrow as an appetizer, and it was fantastic. The rich flavor reminded me of fresh morel mushrooms. I had the chef's flight for my main course. It was underwhelming, to say the least. Overall, it lacked flavor, although everything other than the lobster roll was cooked well.

Yesterday was my first time visiting flight and the experience exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious. Our waiter was courteous and knowledgeable on all the menu selections. I also enjoyed the complementary valet parking. This was one of my best dining experiences, 10 out of 10.

Deserves every star! You pull up to and a valet attendant asks would you like to use valet and you just hand them your keys. Walking inside you're greeted by who seemed to be the manager or owner, very nice gentleman who also thanked us for coming and asked how everything was when we were leaving. I'd made reservations for my mother's birthday dinner for a Thursday evening August 18, 2022. The restaurant was clean, cool and had a great atmosphere. Lots of smiling staff and they all speak to you walking in and out. We got a watermelon and a blueberry martini; shared the ocean flight appetizer; each got a flight of chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits and the lamb ribeye; shared the southern flight dessert and we were both so full. Had a few leftovers and our waitress, maybe her name was Kaitlyn (soooo sweet and knowledgeable), asked if we'd like for her to put it in a to-go for us. That was nice too. When she brought the check, she asked if we did the valet for our vehicle. When I paid our vehicle was parked at the curb waiting. We will definitely be back. It is a dining experience!

Set a reservation for our 11th wedding anniversary in the wine cellar and had a great time. I’d give this a 5 star rating just on service, Jack, our waiter was the best server we’ve ever had. Super friendly and extremely knowledgeable and helpful with the menu, make sure to ask for him if you go. The food was amazing. We’ve been before and decided to try totally different things this time around and everything was perfectly cooked and tasted great. I highly recommend this place

I took my wife and son to Flight Restaurant to celebrate our 19th Anniversary. The food was amazing. The service was top tier. Our server Miranda was excellent. She explained how the flights worked, helped us with our orders, made sure that we were continually satisfied, and had our vehicle brought around while I was paying the check so that we didn't have to wait for the Valet. Honestly, the experience was a 5 star experience. I only gave it 4 stars due to the extremely limited drink menu for minors. I will definitely be going back.

Great atmosphere and very nice staff. The food was extremely excellent. Drinks were devine. Wonderful selection of wines. We were celebrating a relatives birthday tonight and a young man with his lady bought drinks for all of us (6) which was very nice. I would recommend this restaurant to only the ones who appreciate great food.

We decided to hit one of my favorite spots for our wedding anniversary, and they did not disappoint. Our reservations were for 7. We arrived and valet parked at 6:50, was seated at 7:05, and the restaurant was completely packed. We decided to try a "Flight" of drinks and entrées. All of my steaks were cooked to perfection and were tender and flavorful from the "Steak Flight" selection. Wife enjoyed the Lobster and Crab Benedict the most from her "Seafood Flight". We both appreciated the complimentary anniversary champagne also. It's a reason Flight is one of my favorite places to eat in Memphis.

I had a great birthday dinner here!! Everything was top notch from the valet service to the food. This was our first time here and we were not disappointed. Everyone was so friendly. Our server was wonderful. He went over the menu in great detail. If we weren't happy with something he replaced it. The Chilean Sea Bass was OMG delicious!! A must have!! The Short Ribs was so tender and the Diver Scallop was the best I ever had! You must come here especially if you're celebrating a special occasion. 😊

I've traveled all across the country and this was probably a top 3 meal. Love the concept and it's not gimmicky. Every small plate is beautifully plated and tastes amazing. Highlights were definitely the steak flight and lobster bisque. The elk plate was an absolute treasure. The sauce was to die for. I will be craving this place again. The ambiance was upscale but not pretentious. The lighting was a bit dark so the pictures don't do it justice.

Got the 4 meat platter with my wife. The ribs were a bit disappointing, a little dry and tough, but the chicken, pork and brisket were good, as were the side dishes we tried. They were out of the 2 local beers we wanted to try so that was another negative but the waiter (Jaylan) was great.

Indoor and outdoor seating plus a drive-thru. Corky’s was busy but service was quick and our server was amazing. The Memphis style sauce was a hit with everyone. Nice casual place to stop for a bite!

We had a party of 7 Dino was our server and he made us feel like he's known us all for years. We had an overnight stay passing through and it was supper time. We're from East Tx and my chiropractor mentioned Corky's so we opted to try this place. It was the best experience... The place is well decorated, super clean, the food was mouth watering, the ribs melted in my mouth. Everyone in our party was more than pleased, the sweet tea was spot on and the homemade peach cobbler is worth the trip alone.... We had folks ranging from 51yo to 88yo and Dino made sure everyone was taken care of... We all left with leftovers, bellies full and everyone had a Big smile and was happy. Thank You Dino for making us feel at home on our first time visit. We'll be back with a much larger party next time...

How I rate products, marketing has poisoned peoples thinking into believing anything under 5 stars is not good! 5 Star Its the best possible product period! 4 Star Its an amazing combination of value/quality/functionality. 3 Star It just does what it's supposed to without any major flaw. 2 Star It doesn't meet expectations in price/quality/functionality. Can maybe be made to work with a fair amount of effort on your end. 1 Star Garbage, doesn't deliver it intended function without unacceptable compromise on your end.

So you get bread to start, great tasting. We ordered fried pickles they were ok, the dipping sauce was bomb. The ribs are good. Nothing really mind blowing on their own but their bbq sauce made the ribs worth it. We had wings as well but they were just fried no salt or pepper on them at all, the fry job was fantastic they were crispy and crunchy. Salad was huge, there was some lettuce that was brown and wilting. The burger does not come with anything (or they assumed there would be nothing on it cause it was for a kid) but we asked for vegis and they brought some out. Over all great customer service . Easy to get to location and a newly remodeled restaurant. I’m not much of a bbq expert but this place was worth what we paid. Nothing extraordinary.

I went to the drive-thru and ordered a slab of ribs that were supposed to be dry rub but when I got home and opened the foil they were wet with barely any seasoning. The baked beans were terrible they didn’t even taste like Corky’s beans and keep in mind that the sides are already really small from what you used to get and they half filled those cups with coleslaw. We spent $40 dollars on this horrible meal this is the last time I visit Corky’s thy have fell completely off.

Our server was absolutely incredible and so was the rest of the staff. I wish I knew her name we were a big party around 3 today on a Friday . She was just incredible with the entire group .everything was great. I gave the food a 2 because well it was just dry today I had the pulled pork. But everyone else loved everything. I am just going off my personal opinion on the food. Added photos of menu for anyone wanting to see what all they offer.

We ran into this place wanting to try what Memphis had to offer with ribs. The flavor was good but the sides are really small for what you pay for a rack of ribs. They use the St. Louis style spare ribs. Overall it was good.

Very good food, well worth the price. I left there full and not wishing they'd given me more. Parking can be hit and miss. It was pretty full at 5:00pm when I went and there was a line when I left an hour later. If you're hungry this is the place to go.

The food was amazing. Getting the ribs half and half (half wet and half dry) was a great option to try both styles, and both were great! The dry rub on the ribs was by far my favorite. They sell the sauce and dry rub in the store. When we went, they were completely out of the original dry rub to buy, showing how great it must be in store as well as for your own recipe! I would highly recommend this place to those traveling through Memphis as it was the best ribs I've ever had!

Shout out to Corky’s Ribs & BBQ. Just spent a week in Memphis and came here twice it was so good! First visit I had the pulled pork dinner. Second visit I had 1/3 rack w dry rub (perfectly cooked), twice-baked potato salad (wish I had this recipe), and a delicious peach cobbler. Hands down the best meal I’ve had in Memphis.
