The meeting of the waters is a very interesting phenomenon to be seen. We went for the boat trip with the Olimipo Carneiro agency (but several agencies go on the same boat). The guide who was accompanying the tour and explaining things did not have much patience or desire to take pictures of the tourists, and the explanation about the meeting of the waters occurred with the boat's engine running, I couldn't hear anything. Still worth knowing! This stop is part of a larger tour, to see dolphins and Indians (Amazonian Safari).

Travelled Brazil in 2018 and it was an incredible experience. The meeting of the waters is truly a great spectacle and the basin of fresh water is mind - blowing. Our tour boat allowed us to touch the water at the meeting point and feel the difference in temperature. It's quite a phenomenon.

Boring for adults. Very small zoo, most animals are alone in their cages which is sad to see. You can visit everything within 20 minutes. I almost didn’t take any photo because most of the time the cages block a good view on the animals.

This zoo was maintained and ran by the military and most of the animals were rescues from illegal trading. This is a great thing, but the maintenance was not up to par. The sidewalks were all uneven, there was trash everywhere and the cages could use an updating. There was ample rust on some of the cages and other visitors screaming, throwing things into the cages and trying to provoke the tiger. The entire time I was there, I didnt see anyone tending to any animals. It was a bit concerning. But the price was cheap. 5 Reals

Amazing open air museum. You can learn a lot about the cuisine, fauna and flora of the Amazon rainforest. You can also learn a lot about the way natives live. On top of that, there are a couple of hiking trails to explore the place. I recommend it!!

As far as I am concerned this is the number one attraction in Manaus, well maintained and if one walks quietly also possible to spot a bit of wildlife.

Amazing museum! The highlight is the aquarium with the two pirarucus and the tambaqui. These fish swim around and it is extraordinary to see them in real life. An other highlight is the observation tower where you can see the rainforest at different heights. Also, there is a small butterfly house with beautiful butterflies, more aquaria with smaller fish, a building with all kinds of different snakes, a lake with Victoria amazonica, and a building with different spiders and scorpions. These are all worth visiting. Additionally, walking through the rainforest is also beautiful and allows you to see many exotic trees and plants. There are many signs explaining the flore and fauna in the rainforest as well as explaining things about the indigenous people. If you are silent, you can even spot and hear some monkeys. It is mandatory in the museum to wear closed shoes or boots. They have boots if you have open shoes, however you need to pay. It is best to bring good shoes.

A great place for a few hours walk - communing with the nature of the Amazon and escaping from the heat in the city. I spent 4 hours here, staying longer in huts with spiders and snakes. If you want to learn more about the knowledge that the museum presents at its exhibitions, plan more time. Be sure to bring full footwear with you. Probably not for the smallest children. Right outside the entrance you will find a shop with a few gadgets, a snack bar and the first exhibitions on the Amazon population, frogs and an orchidarium (unfortunately no flowers at the time of my visit). Later on, more exhibitions or interesting places, walking along the main WHITE trail (check the map on the museum's website). The remaining routes are connecting routes (narrower, wilder, require full footwear) or are available only with a guide. There are over a dozen 'attracions' and exhibitions. I was most impressed by: a hut with snakes (+ a skeleton of a snake), a hut with spiders (important to watch with a free guide, the guardian of the hut), a large aquarium showing huge fish living in the amazon, an observation tower, a PAST exhibition with a megafauna once living in the Amazon. The butterfly house was interesting but didn't make a wow effect. The orchidarium must look beautiful when it blooms. If I lived in Manaus, I would definitely visit this place at different times of the year.

Beautiful place, nature all around and very clean. If you want to have guided tour you have to do a reservation. Remember to bring closed shoes or boots because is mandatory to get in

This arena is very beautiful, it represents a lot for the local population. One of the most beautiful arenas I’ve ever seen, especially at night, is very beautiful with those lights on

Nice place to share good time watching futball(soccer) games. It was also the stadium for FIFA's 2014 World Cup soccer.

Beautiful from the outside, huge on the inside but a sad shell with little expectation that the developers / sponsors actually expected it to work. Parking is poor and insufficient, no F&B or amenities other than some food trucks and some street vendors selling drinks from ice chests. Tragic actually.

Amazing food and lots of staff to try which is typical for this region! Try tambaqui ribs in barbecue sauce! Who likes to experiment there are ants to try!

Everything at this place was delicious. Matrinxã Assada ao Molho de Limões was my main and it was fresh and tasteful. My entire party loved their meals and everyone had something different. Finish off the meal with the Petit Gateau de Cupuaçu - you won’t be disappointed. The fresh juices are also a must try :)

Oh this place is fabulous. Do not hesitate, just go! The menu is tremendous and the staff fantastic! Many interesting things to try. Do try the fried tambaqui ribs. Wow!

We are staying in Manaus 3days and last 2days tried their amazing mouth watering cuisine at this restaurant. We are going to try more dish in our 3rd day (tomorrow) too 😋😋😋😋 Their dish just make you smile and you do not leave hungry from this place, Believe me!

12th of June was the worst time to come here as it was Valentine’s Day in Brazil so we had to queue for over an hour. With so much hype I was expecting an amazing restaurant and the menu looked promising. Service was great but the food was bland and very unappealing.

Great place, good environment! However, the manager and the security guard showed prejudiced behavior towards my boyfriend (because of his color), they did not disguise it, they were surrounding the table! Other than this absurd behavior, the restaurant is good…

This place was so hyped up I was expecting more. First, the service was completely chaotic. All of our drinks took forever to arrive. We had to order a drink halfway through our current drink otherwise we had to wait 10-15 minutes for another one. I canceled a drink because it had taken so long and they showed up twice with the same drink almost 15 minutes later. The appetizers showed up in good timing, but again the entree took a while. I understand the restaurant was busy, but we didn't get checked on. Three stars because the food itself was very good. However, with the slow service it's just not worth the price tag. If I want a drink, I would like it to arrive within a couple of minutes. The music was live and at first was nice, but it's the same singer singing the same style song over and over and it got boring. Overall, would not come back because the night was just us complaining about how long we spent with an empty glass. Do not recommend!

Great experience at coco bambu during lunch time. Rodrigo was our waiter and he was very informative and friendly. We ordered Brasileirinho and it was delicious.

Good food and service, excellent in fact. Great music and atmosphere. Seeing some reviews stating the place is overly expensive. Well I consider that the prices are more than just. Not overly expensive at all. Our first time. Wont be our last. I guess at times the place can be busy and as such there might be delays in delivering the meals and drinks but we were amazed at the speed of the service after seeing the reviews. Secret is visit at non peak times.

Best pasta and seafood. Ask for Vinícius, he’s a state of the art professional sweetheart who is very savvy about the menu and speaks English — which is part of the experience for us who speak zero Portuguese and wanted to have a good evening for my birthday celebration while on vacation.

I can promise you, if you wanna try best fishes around Manaus, this is the place. The only downside is: the staff doesn’t speak english at all. But it’s common in most places in Brazil. (they also have other meats)

I don't know how this place gets so many 5 star reviews. The only plus for a foreigner is that they had an English menu. Unfortunately, apart from the presence of the menu in English, none of the staff knew this language. Ok, I got used to it in Brazil.. But the food and the service? Failure. The historic center of the city, seating only outside, and chairs such that after 20 minutes you wish you could sit on something else. There were two of us and We only ordered 2 dishes, one per person, and overall the tables were less than 50% occupied - yet the dish was served for one person. The second person didn't get their dish until 15 minutes later when the first person was finishing their meal. If only the dishes were worth the wait, but no! We ordered Pirarucu fish - fried in one dish, in stew in the other. In both versions, the fish was dried to piece and without taste at all. It must have been frozen for a long time. It was absolutely not fresh fish, which I have already eaten in other places. I have no idea if they serve us such bad quality fish because they saw 'tourists' in us, or this is normal every day quality fish. I do NOT recommend.

The food was really great, exactly the experience we were looking for. Drinks, fish stew, banana rolls - all really really good. They also had ridiculously good looking, but not very well synchronized dancers. The only bad thing is that the performance (which was very loud - making conversation difficult - and not very good in terms of artistic/cultural value) is included in the cost of the food.

I dined at Tambaqui de Banda twice, once for lunch and again for dinner on a Friday. Both times we were seated prompted and food was delivered quickly, hot and fresh. We had their famous grilled Tambaqui (local Amazonian vegetarian piranha), Pirarucu (giant freshwater fish), Pacu (related to Tambaqui/Piranha), Tacaca soup (shrimp and tucupi), and their garlic shrimp. Everything was phenomenal and very tasty. If you're in Manaus this is a must-visit restaurant. It is conveniently located in the Centro district adjacent to the historical opera house. The restaurant also provided dancing and live music as entertainment. Area is safe with local families and tourists having a good time.

This restaurant surprised me with its food and service! Right off the bat a server brings the menus out, in Portuguese and English (a big plus), asks if I'd like to drink something (because in Manaus is very hot and over 93% humidity), then promptly asks if this is my first time, and since I answered yes, it was brought caldinho de tambaqui (tambaqui fish broth) with spices and not spicy at all but very tasty and packed with flavor. I ordered grilled tambaqui fish for one, it came with baião de dois (Brazilian dirty rice with beans), farofa (roasted manioc flour), and pico de Gallo. This has been the best-grilled fish I ever had, I could taste the burnt fish skin which tasted much better than grilled chicken skin. If you happen to be in the Amazon region, please try grilled tambaqui and pirarucu fish and you'll thank me later. Oh! When I asked for chili, the server came up with fresh chilies and a small bottle with olive oil, and tucupi in it. He then asked how spicy I wanted, muddled the chilies, and mixed them with olive oil, tucupi, and salt, and bam! Despite Manaus' hot and humid I opeted to sit outside on the balcony, to my great surprise, it didn't bothered me at all because service was great and kept me hidrated and the view of the opera house was grand.

Worst experience in brazil so far(after 2 months in the country). Menu did not at all describe the dishes correctly, service was very slow despite the place not being busy, main dish was meh (though not horrible), but the shrimps were *NOT* fresh or well made, place was noisy all the time. I will not come again.

Great service, excellent food. Only issue is that the menu available in English was only a subset of the total menu. Took a lot of back and forth with the waiter to figure out what to order.

It is good restaurant for dinner. Beef and pork are so good and delicious. Also side dish and appetizer is nice. There is birthday event service, so you can bring your family or friends when someone is birthday.
