Outstanding. Free entry, great amenities, easy lift access onto each floor. Incredibly well set out and something for all ages. Staff were helpful. Each floor has a different theme and the displays are exceptional. The amount of time and effort put in to set out each area must be immense. Really really great time and have already recommended to many others who haven't yet been. 5*

It's one of the greatest museum with a great collection of arms and armours of all times where I was lucky to have been! Most of the artifacts are in a good state, and you can trace the development of arms, armours, and guns too. In addition, this museum has a great collection from all over the world, and not only England. And it's free to visit, so I recommend!

We had a very enjoyable visit to the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds. It's housed in a lovely building. Staff were all very helpful. We spent a few hours walking round. Lots to see there. We went just before the school holidays so it wasn't too busy. Only criticism I would have was that there were few areas that were closed when we went. Bad timing on our part i think. Overall, it is an excellent museum. Great for young and old.

A fantastic museum and a great spot to visit when exploring Leeds. There is so much on display and the layout really works well. You can spend anywhere between an hour and all day in this museum and still find new things.

Fascinating, and sometimes harrowing, journey through the history of weapons and conflict. Amazing displays and regular demonstrations where history is brought to life. A few more interactive displays would make it perfect, but still thoroughly worth a visit. Nice cafe and gift shop, but also next to Leeds Docks with other places to eat. Parking at a reasonable price in the nearby multi-storey car park, just a couple of minutes walk away.

This is a really well presented venue that is very child friendly but is equally good for adults if they are interested in the military history. There are plenty of clear sign posts, parking is in an adjacent multi story car park for the Leeds Dock Complex. The museum itself is packed with interesting exhibits with lots of information, it is on a number of floors but there are great lifts that whisk you between the floors, the lifts give good disabled access to all the floors and display areas. There is lots to see and a number of places that you can sit and rest plus some very nice cafes. Toilets as you would expect in a modern building like this are really well designed, clean and fresh with good facilities and plenty of disabled facilities. If we are passing this way again we will probably make a return visit.

For a free experience the royal armouries is absolutely fantastic. Huge and filled with exciting areas and lots of amazing shows that are also free to watch. The cafe is nice and the shop is great too. I definitely recommend a visit here. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming.

Absolutely fantastic museum. I came when I was a kid and it has changed so much. I brought my 3 kids aged 18/13/12 and each of them loved it. The summer holiday program was really fun. The sword fighting demonstration was really fun the actors were great and made a huge effort for the audience. We watched the outdoor horse show in the arena. It was thoroughly enjoyable. Also went to the stables to meet the horses. No entrance fee which makes it a great day out for anyone. Would recommend to everybody. Fun for any age.

The museum was good, a few exhibits missing from the last time I went (20+ years ago). There was much less about how the items were made this time, but an abundance of arms and armour etc. The only downside was the cafe, very basic food nowhere near good enough for the prices charged. The gift shop was well stocked and well worth a visit. It's also worth going to see any shows that are on. All in all a good day.

Amazingly well presented display that will take you on a trip through time and across continents . I could get lost in here for days and never take in all the information available , ten out of ten for the staff and the presentation . One thing made me laugh you will see a Knuckle duster Knife and Gun all in one piece of kit . That truly gives a new meaning to if at first you don't succeed , try , try and try again for me . There was a very interesting helmet with metal moustache built in vanity it would seem knows no bounds . In the hunting section I loved the hunter on his Elephant attacking a Tiger . Not nice I know but very lifelike and impressive . The Longbow Man was a bit intimidating these battles must have been terrifying . The Dragon like piece of Horse armour from Asia was cool I thought quite friendly looking in a strange kind of way and his side kick was quite handsome too . There was a live sword fighting display but unfortunately I missed this . Again 10 out of 10 another great attraction in Leeds what a great City . If you are not local I wouldn't advise trying to drive in the Park and Ride is easy and much less stress . I would highly recommend a visit .

Absolutely amazing experience, the staff were so friendly, helpful and kind and even got involved in the all around building entertainment. The cafe and toilet facilities were clean on point and all round spotless and hygienic no fault, credit to them. This place is a have to see to believe, the history it holds is phenomenal, around every corner over every step is something unreal and different, there isn't a corner where this stunning piece of history isn't covered. They really have kept an era of life and existence truly alive, highly recommended for a full fun packed day. Although it is free entry, donations are greatly needed and thanked to keep this part if history alive, so please leave a few pound if you can it truly helps. Thanks again 👍

Outstanding. Totally worth every minute. Some of the highlight of our many visit: - A wide selection of everything you would wanna see from the past and present. - Education rooms with audio and video. - Staff are very knowledgeable and performers. - Informative brochures and flyers. - Kids friendly and wheelchair accessible. - Gift and coffee shop - Great set up, sound, video and light system. - Highly recommending visit their website and social media to attend their educational events. We have visited during the weekdays, weekend and public holidays. It never failed to amaze us.

What an absolute stunning and free museum this is. It has got to be up there with one of the best and most interested I have ever visited. It is vast in size and has got lots of interesting collections of anything to do with war and weaponry. I would take a trip back here at some point.

Wow.. What can i say, I have been to quite a few museums.. Must say the collection here is unparalleled, great helpful staff , stunning and a must see if you are in Leeds, you Will need a some time to get through all the floors, great Cafe and shop on ground floor, lifts for Mobility affected, would recommend taking a water taxi (£2) from Leeds train station. Wheelchair friendly and Free admission.

Absolutely amazing place to visit, so many artifacts and information to take on board. There was a little presentation on whilst we were there (Yankee Doodle story) and it was awesome! Great for all ages, and interest levels. Would recommend if you're in the area.

What a lovely place this is, so spacious and lovely walks. I took a walk around the lake, it's a steady walk not strenuous at all. The swans i found were quite friendly and can get quite close to them, be careful with kids tho.. A lovely morning walk which I shall do again in the future.

Great park. Always clean and tidy. Lots of benches, bins and signs. Animal friendly and accessible for everyone regardless of their physical ability. Also good for bikes and running. Lots of parking spaces for cars and of course a safe playground for kids.

I had a wonderful time visiting here today. The weather was perfect. The park is really good for nature lovers and families alike. I particularly enjoyed taking a leisurely stroll around the lakes, and the variety of wildlife I spotted was a pleasant surprise. Can’t wait to visit again. 🌳🦆🌞

Lovely park! The council and local groups do a great job of maintaining the park. Parking can be an issue when busy, but there are a plethora of transport options other than by car. Just be thoughtful to local residents and park considerately. Along with my visit to the park, I attended the Monet Gardens which were a pleasant surprise. You don't often find such a great addition to a council park. LCC have done a wonderful job with the reconstruction of their Chelsea Flower Show contributions. I think the park offers everyone a great day out. You will never be bored when visiting here, there is an abundance of history located all over the park and events are regularly held across the year.

The park is so big I couldn't walk from one end to the other. Lots of grass area to play and have picnics. Really nice hills.

Great park, especially loved the woodsy geology trails north of main lake in the park and the area around the canal gardens in the west. Nice restrooms available near the cafes, lots of shade along many of the paths. Kids will enjoy the Fairy Houses in the woods just north of the upper lake.

Hi ,although quite a distance from us Roundhay Park in Leeds is just lovely, the walk round the main lake,1of2 is just the right length to feel refreshed and it's not muddy just a couple of parts that can need proper walking shoes. Kids love it , the mass of swans are a sight to behold and it brings back my childhood memories from the 50's and 60's of the schools converging here for children's sports day . Oh exciting times then.

Very big Park in Leeds, you can spend most your time here... walking path is very smooth. There's a cricket ground, a little play gym for kids, water side, beautiful views, best place for picnic with friends and family, excellent car parking, Ice cream station and food cafe area 😋 10/10... Best place to get relax and spend the time for yourself... There's a tropical garden near by.. if you are fancy for a little zoo type...

Playground is there, it's a huge and a historic park has an old abbey first floor has a concession ,vendors selling snacks, there is a toilet 🚻 facility also, but they close early around 17:00 " pm" But that's not the only toilets in the park there are other, there are old bridges a body of water with Swans & Ducks , a river , flowers, birds 🐦 very big old trees, signs explaining the history and the significance of it ,Dogs should on a leash, and not allowed 🚫 in playgrounds,picnics benchs , trash bins you could pass a whole day there it's kids and adults paradise , because of its vastness there is always a nice quiet areas for those who likes the sound of nature, a very enjoyable experience , you do feel that you you are in deeply rooted England 🇬🇧 as oppose to " the new world "

Always a lovely walk. I especially love the monet gardens. The swans always look so happy. Lots of space for little ones to run around. The Art shop at the mansion is stunning.

Gorgeous mix of modern and traditional. Park, woodlands and beautiful lakeside walks with plenty of nature to be spotted. Geese, ducks, herons and more. Dotted with the odd bit of history from it’s former hunting park days. One of the largest urban parks in Europe I hear…

Decided a while ago to only book tickets here if I can stand as the seats near the stage tend to be very expensive and you are still pretty far from the stage. Standing is brilliant as there is a large wall behind you before you get to seats so feels like a small venue gig.

Great arena, excellent design and lots of amazing features. Only thing letting it down is the price of drinks, they are ludicrous!!! For a gig though, it's a great venue and sound quality is top notch.

A great venue for seeing great bands lime Simple Minds. It was slick but food and drink were poor at best. Beer was 7.50 a pint and could be better.

A pleasant evening out for a Disney show (reviewed separately) the Arena was well kept, tidy and well attended by staff and stewards. Seating was clean though not comfortable for extended periods of sitting due to being narrow and quite cramped together. Facilities were satisfactory and overall it was a good venue to host the show

Good views from all seats, great atmosphere, inflated prices for drinks, snacks etc as you would expect. Efficient and effective security and staff. Overall, the venue was great. Performance (Elton John) was incredible

Went to see Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds. The security staff were brilliant and the layout of the arena is so easy to navigate. The toilets were clean and spacious even at the end of the night. We had a bottle of water confiscated at the door which is understandable from a security point of view, but the staff told us like that you can get a pint of tap water (with ice) from the bar for free, which is what we did :)

First ever visit, just seen the pet shop boys.! Excellent venue, massive inside and good acoustics, friends who have seen other bands there have said the sounds always been excellent.! Quick to get into and out of the arena as well.!

I have visited first time the First Direct Arena in Leeds, it was an amazing and huge hall for big shows, the sitting arrangements and viewing experience were very nice. I visited there for my wife's graduation ceremony which organized by Leeds Beckett university. It was an amazing experience, I would like to go there again for any big show.

It was pretty good. You get through it very fast though so take your time. Gift shop is decent and the staff are nice. Its very hot!! Don't dress warmly or at least take your jacket off before you go in. The bugs are mostly loose so be warned you will get attacked by the odd butterfly or beetle. All in all its a great time and good to visit. Definitely doesn't kill a full day though!

Booked tickets the day before we went. On arrival we were told there's no crocodile or butterflies as maintenance was happening. We thought it would have been mentioned on the website. They offered us a refund or to change the booking. As we were already there we carried on anyway. Other than that it was all good and worth a visit. We wasn't disappointed. Would go again.

Tropical world is a good visit. Some aspects are a little run down and dated, and some areas are closed while they remodel currently, but it's still a fun place. Staff are friendly and helpful. Clean bathrooms. Good gift shop. Plenty of informative signs and interesting animals everywhere. Fun to visit every few years.

We've been going for many years but this time it looked very worse, massive queues in the rain for us to get in to find all the flowers were either gone or dead, most of the wildlife were gone, there used to be hundreds of butterflies and we only saw 2... We stopped for lunch in the cafe, the food was nice but having pigeons flying round inside which wasn't very pleasant while trying to eat. Let's hope it's better next time we go...my nephew still enjoyed his visit though.

Me and my family really enjoyed Tropical World. We went on Wednesday 7th June. It was lovely. The only thing is I had a panic attack with all the butterflies flying around. Apart from that I really enjoyed it. The Grandchildren had a lovely day they had a picnic on ya grounds. I am disabled and forgot my key to my scooter at home, and the staff so kindly lent me theirs. They even went all out and lent me the bigger one for me to go over to the park with the grandchildren. Great place

Very reasonably priced . Plenty to see walk around with butterflies and big moths flying around you. Wind your way through the different categories, doesn't take that long to go round about an hour or so. Very hot and clammy so nice to come out into cool air. Many animals, fish, and insects to see. There's 2 places to get refreshments and the gardens outside are lovely to walk around as well.

Covid friendly and has a path to follow. Cafe was very busy at 11am onwards. Areas were litter free and a bit tired looking. Most tanks had someone in (including the awesome stingray!). Approximate walking round time inside with a toddler was just under an hour. On the day we went people were conscious of each other and gave each other space and a lady opened another till to help us get checked in. Very pleased :) will be back soon!

A really good place to visit its fully wheelchair accessible. In the butterfly House you are travelling on a wooden slat bridge but we were OK even with a manual wheelchair. So what animals, snakes, spiders insects, fish, birds I loved seeing the Ray as well as the amazon fish. So many colours. Did I mention reptiles, no well they even have a crocodile lizards and a day gecko. If you want a souvenir they have a huge shop full and a large cafe the cakes and coffee were yummy. Toilets are in the shop and cafe. Again full accessibility. We had a lovely day.

Small but interesting I took children ranging from 16 to 6 all enjoyed it. Cheap day at £8 for adults and £4 for children under 5s free. The tickets last all day so you can go around/in and out as you please. Free parking at Roundhay Park 2 min walk down the road which also has a play park perfect for burning off some steam.

Really disappointed, appalled and wouldn't recommend visiting. We saw very few butterflies, my only reason for visiting. They had caged monkeys,not necessary,these cute little monkeys live in family groups of up to 8 ,there were only 2 in the very small cages . Absolutely broke my heart,they just looked so sad and lonely. This is a tropical butterfly house. Although these monkeys live in tropical rain forests, they have freedom and their family. I wasn't impressed with the size of the crocodile enclosure either. It was kind of like ,let's see how many different species we can cram into this place. Not good, not kind not for me. There were also some beautiful fish, koi, which were massive,and just didn't have the room required for the growth . There was also a plastic bottle,a toy car and sweet wrappers floating around in their pond. This just wasn't for me , appalling habitats ,dead foliage hanging from the ceilings,lack of food in dishes for the tortoises,cages inadequate, and poorly kept. In one enclosure was a lizard ,resting in a plank of wood,the wood had long screws sticking up between the feet of the creature.The place just filled me with sadness. Please see my photos and make your own mind up.

I didn't no what to expect at first from this place but it has sooo much more inside than just butterfly's. The parking was easy and convenient on the street and then it was a quick walk through the beautiful garden to a little archway for the tropical world. I took my nephews and we went for a bite to eat first from the onsite cafe before going to explore. The only thing that was ever a problem personally was how hot it was inside as I thought there would be some outside bits along the way, but this is perfectly understandable for the animals and insects that we saw. Just wish I hadn't worn jeans 😄 the kids loved the different sections and coming back at the end we got to see the other side of some of the same sections. Such as the butterfly house. It was well thought out in the layout, and very easy to follow with the yellow paw prints on the floor. The staff were nice and polite and quick at serving us in the cafe and then when showing tickets for the attraction. We all had a brilliant day and finished it off with an ice cream sat outside in the sunshine. Would deffo come again. Also the tickets were purchased the day before but they had no time on them so we could come at any point throughout the day which ended up being really useful as I was stuck in traffic for longer than expected too.

Lovely place, lots or cute animals, most of them are tiny. Beware tho it is ridiculously hot inside, it felt like I was in an amazonian jungle or something similar to that. If you can't stand such a hot & damp place due to medical conditions I would really consider if it is worth a visit.

A lovely day exploring the vast grounds of Harewood. The house is beautiful inside and well worth taking a walk around. I really enjoyed the outdoor space. The walk down to the lake and gardens is nice. It's easy underfoot but good footwear helps. However if you find walking a challenge, there are small shuttle buses to get you between places. The onsite cafe had nice sandwiches and cakes. We also found another takeout only cafe for drinks. There are plenty of toilets on site too. It's a peaceful place and I can see why people join the trust and visit multiple times. It was a shame the ferry wasn't running on the day we went as this would have been nice. Also the bird garden is now closed. Hopefully Harewood can expand the farm experience as this would be great for kids. A great day out

Excellent house in lovely gardens. House is so well preserved, and the grounds a delight. Large outdoor adventure park for kids. Farm is undergoing necessary upgrade. Well worth a visit.

We have a membership so go fairly frequently, this is a beautiful place and we really enjoy taking the kids here for a walk and something to eat. The staff are always very nice, and whilst - particularly in the cafe in the main house - we'd like some more vegetarian options, we do like to sit down and relax in the comfortable surroundings and think of the opulence of life for the rich here in former times.

Great place to visit, you need a while day to see everything. House has great history and lots to see, staff very knowledgeable and happy to explain the building the the exhibits. The rest of the grounds are well maintained and clean. Terrace Cafe has some lovely soup, sandwiches , cake and scones.

We were pleasantly impressed. The gardens are beautiful. We spent most of our time there. Then on entering the house, we wished that we had more time to enjoy the delights, treasures and history preserved in this beautiful house. A return trip is needed.

Such a great place for fun activities. In the summer I attended the Great British Food Festival and that was the perfect venue and gained us entry into the house as well. Then their Magical Christmas Nights was beautiful as well! The only thing I’d change about the magical Christmas nights is perhaps having the traders and the food stay open longer and allow people to explore the inside of the house and traders at the same time so that the queue doesn’t get too long going into the house. Loved the musicians and the brilliantly themed rooms though!

The house was magnificent with beautiful gardens, amazing views and kids play area. They have guides/volunteers that are very helping and patient, especially David. We asked them literally tons of questions and they answered all with a smile. I was amazed to learn that it was a permanent home up until 2019. They housed Radical Acts exhibition which was a bit distracting but nevertheless the experience was memorable. The house opens at 11am and closes at 3pm.

This place was amazing! All the staff are volunteers but they were super friendly and so knowledgeable. Some of the history and stories in here were just great. It is a real journey through opulence and a rare glimpse to the past. The craftsmanship of everything in the main house is a wonder. Good facilities, lovely grounds, lake and gardens and weirdly....penguin's. Cracking day out.

Excellent restaurant for meat lovers. From the first minute to last one we were well taken care of. Service is top notch, attentive,very friendly and proffesional. After few minutes meat started to come and we feel like in heaven. All kind of meat were delicious, served medium to medium rare right on your table. It was coming so often on our desk we had to put red after few minutes as our plates was already full of meats. So no waiting for meat at all. Hot side dishes were included in price and were excellent too. I would be satisfied with the sides even without meat, that's how good they've been. Even the buffet itself was experience, I never saw such good quality food in buffet. We didn't know what to eat first. It was an amazing experience for us and we definitely reccommend and we will be back.

One of our finest dining experiences ever. Excellent serving system, staff are always on hand but not overwhelmingly so. It's not cheap but you get exactly what you pay for. Incredible selection of meats and the sides were delicious.

Fabulous place! Me and my family loved it here! Would highly recommend for family’s and date nights! The salad bar was best I have seen at such a place , however the slices of meat were not as big as elsewhere! Quite expensive, especially with cocktails on the menu like that! It’s easy to carried away! Overall really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely return

The food here is brilliant. The vast amount of meat, cooked how you want it is more than enough to satisfy most people. However we also really enjoyed the extras like the salad bar and hot side dishes. Service is top notch and you are well looked after from the moment you arrive. A great experience!

Friendly Staff & GREAT FOOD! Couldn’t ask for much more. My first time to this type of restaurant and wow what an experience. Having high quality meat delivered to your table at the flip of a token was wonderful. My favourites were the gammon & garlic steak. Highly recommend eating “tapas style.” Enjoy a few cuts of meat, take a break, then a few more cuts of meat. There was a lovely selection of various sides so everyone is sure to find some thing they’ll enjoy. The wine selection is also quite impressive. Small innovative details like using the former buffet area to still have lovely coloured sides, fondu pots, and amuse-bouche was a pleasant touch. The truffle fries blew me away. Try dipping them in peppercorn sauce and have a party in your mouth. I highly recommend this restaurant. The setting is also perfect as you’re directly in the city Center close to the action, but also right next to the train station if you want to roll home and lie down after a feast.

Fazenda is always and will be our all-time favourite in Leeds. The service is incredible, the atmosphere is five stars, and the meats are heavenly good. Their cocktails are just divine and bring the dining experience to a whole new level. The waitress was very attentive. You will be spoiled for meat and side selections. Meats were grilled perfectly to our preferences and heavenly good. We can’t wait for our next visit.

Got treated very well by all staff members, very polite and treat us abit like royalty 😅 And of course the food was amazing! Just wish I had a bigger room in my stomach to eat more 😅 Halal options are great, I tried all the meats, even something new 'chicken's heart' so expanded my pallet than the usual stuff. There's plenty to choose from and the set up is fantastic, they give you a 'red plate' so the waiters know you only eat Halal food. 5/5 - Me and my Wife travelled from Sheffield and it was worth it 👍🏽

The first thing to note is that the meat is served medium rare. It's possible to have small pieces of medium to well, but they come from the very edges. The honey pork was delicious and was cooked well. Sides were also delicious Salad selection was very good. Service was quick, except for the bar service, but we were compensated. The only thing I would say is that if you aren't a big eater, the cost is pricey, and in my own view would not be worth it.

Brought my other half here for his first ever bottomless brunch!! We had a fantastic night here and I would definitely return! Cocktails were coming quickly and the food was delicious! Very spicy but delicious! Our waitress Anna was lovely too! Would definitely recommend to friends ! Thank you!

Starters were very nice, had the calamari and jerk wings. 2 for 1 cocktails were very nice. Had the short stack burger which i didn’t really like and my friend had the Kingston fried chicken which she was not a fan of. However the vibe was nice and perfect for eating or drinking with friends!

We were served by Darcey and she was wonderful. Rushed off her feet bit nothing was too much. Bottomless brunch well worth the money with a vast selection of cocktails to choose from. We will be back

Super friendly staff, food was decent but did not get what I asked for, ate it anyway as didn't want to wait for them to recook. Suggest the restaurant change their water bottles as they seem very hard to clean properly, saw some mold inside at the bottom of the bottle so had to ask for a new one. Might be a hygiene risk?

Amazing brunch, our waiter Izzy was very attentive, she was chatty and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely return - enjoyed our first venture to turtle bay! The food was also amazing and just enough for a brunch date x Definitely recommend 5*

Staff were lovely and very friendly. Our server was Darcey who couldn’t do enough for us. I miss read the menu and ordered something I don’t like (stupid I know ) and when the manager and Darcey noticed they wanted to make sure we were happy and had something else. I declined but they removed the item from our bill which was generous of them especially when it was my fault. The food my husband had was faultless and the drinks were great. Would definitely come back !

I got there right before the end of the buy 1 get 1 free drink (7pm)💃🏻💃🏻. I got 4 drinks altogether. The Shrimp 🍤 was smoking hot, spicy and delicious. It’s my second time if eating the curry but I don’t think I love it and it was not hot enough. It was a busy night there and the music was good as well. I was there yesterday 21/10/22 and I had a great time. The garlic pit prawn, spiced fries and baby back ribs were so good. I recommend!!!

Stopped in for a couple of drinks, great vibe. Came in the next day for breakfast, good food, good service. Definitely recommend, although the musics a bit lively first thing the next morning when feeling delicate it makes me feel like holiday. And because it made makes me smile, but nothing to do with this place….. I'm thinking of opening a Hawaiian-Jamaican fusion restaurant... and calling it Pokemon

This is an excellent restaurant. I’d particularly recommend the fish curry wrapped in a banana leaf. It looks absolutely amazing and tastes exceptional. The popadoms were also delicious too, and there’s a variety of them. The restaurant also had a nice vibe. However, the service was a little slow and we had to ask for water three times. It’s also very busy on a Saturday night, no doubt because the food is so delicious! I’d definitely recommend this place.

Food appeared authentic. There were lots of locals in there. The service was good and the food was vibrant and tasty. The menu was slightly misleading which caused us confusion on payment but certainly worth a trip to eat. The food was not your typical choices you get in an Indian and were authentic meals from the region that the restaurant is called.

My favourite Indian restaurant. We went 2 years ago and basically returned to Leeds also to enjoy their food again. Not the typical British Indian restaurant but an authentic Kerla restaurant. We got a lamb Express lunch and a masala dosa. Is also not expensive and the service is good and fast. Very clean too.

Fantastic food at Tharavadu, we had the soft shell crab and prawn curry, both were great. Good level of spice and very tasty. Paratha was the pick of the sides. Good value for the quality!

Have visited this place in 2014-2016! Used to love this place! And went there again! Service was good! Food could be better! The chaat was definitely good but the rest was Not as good as it used to be! And I felt, it was expensive for nothing! I used to recommend this place to others, but I will not recommend it here after

Not bad food but bear in mind that this isn't your typical Anglo Bangladeshi Indian restaurant that offers a chicken madras (our mistake). A cultural experience nonetheless. Service was prompt and food arrived quickly.

Very nice place to have nice and different Indian food. Dosa is a must, and any rice dish, especially with rice pancakes are amazing. Staff can be caught up if the place is full and less attentive.

I’m a little perplexed by the apparent raving of Tharavadu, I expected really amazing things, the price point of dishes indicated confidence in the quality of food. The reality is that firstly service is really poor, after 15-20 mins of nobody coming to the table we had to do the awkward wave for attention. The quality of the food is good then menu reads really well, however, it certainly wasn’t the wow factor I expected. In fact no better or worse than many similar restaurants in the area with a far lower price point. Would I return, nup, I see no reason to. Disappointed would sum up my feelings

I recently celebrated my birthday at Tharavadu Indian Restaurant, and it was an exceptional experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes that satisfied my taste buds. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who made the celebration even more special. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I highly recommend Tharavadu for anyone looking for great food and impeccable service.

I recently met with friends for afternoon tea in the bar at Dakota Hotel. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful on the phone when I was booking our table. We were really well taken care of by the amazing Vincent in the bar. He gave us a really quiet table, but didn’t forget about us. It was a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to return. Oh yes, and the afternoon tea was delicious!

The well trained staff make this a stand out hotel. From friendly check in to attentive service they made our stay. Our room was very nicely decorated and felt calm and relaxing. The bed was a little soft and saggy in the middle which let the room down slightly. The bar serves great cocktails but can feel a little busy with it being by a main entrance. Overall a good hotel in a great location.

I have had the privilege and pleasure to stay at this exceptionally wonderful hotel on many occasions from the not so standard double to the premium deluxe (best in the hotel) and all room in between. Every room is immaculate and exceptionally well appointed. Super clean and well equip regardless of budget. I love the decor, which is right on trend from point of entry, the lifts, halls and of course the rooms. All staff are exceptional, Laura the duty manager, the reception staff and last but not least the valet chaps who are just very polite and kind. I love the food at the hotel and the little touches in the rooms are just great and quality. I have taken the shower product and installed it in my own house. It is quality and the staff are the best i have dealt with in my vast worldwide travels. Dakota great design, great execution but most of all a great team at Leeds are really setting you apart from other hotels in the area. 20/10 amazing and see you again very soon. Faith was not only attentive but also incredibly helpful throughout my stay. She went above and beyond to ensure that I had a wonderful dining experience each morning. Good Hotel. Rooms are spacious and have a desk to work which makes it very good for business trips. It’s located in the city center. Cons, it doesn’t have a gym and they charge you 5 pounds each time you get room service. Also, the menu is not as good as the regular menu from the restaurant downstairs.

This is one of those hotels which might not come up based on a star rating based filter, the reality is people forget that start ratings mean facilities and you can have a bad heavily starred hotel. This hotel is an exceptionally good city stay hotel for business and pleasure, rooms are as good as any at this rate and if you eat in the restaurant is better than some independent restaurants at the same sort of per head cost. I would say its straight forward value for money and I would stay her again the next time we come to Leeds.

Very pleasant experience. we were welcomed by a friendly concierge,Ham, who took us through the registration process and assisted us to our rooms. The rooms are contemporary, but the bed does look a tad small. Very clean facilities with a mix of bars and restaurants over two floors. Make sure you visit the bar on the first floor. Only spent a night but will definitely repeat, it's beautifully situated and everything you need is within walking distance. An on site gym would be a huge plus.

After a previous horrible stay in the biggest suite they have, we decided to try again… Worlds apart, the reception team was super lovely, didn’t get her name, young blonde.. really took her time to ensure a memorable welcome Deluxe room, perfect layout, best beds, showers are incredible and everything just works! One of my favourite groups of hotels

I had an excellent stay at Dakota, the room was lovely. It was very close to the city centre so it was the ideal location for a city break. The food and bar service was impeccable, I was especially grateful for the service of the waitress Issy. She was extremely helpful and very friendly.

This hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes walk to the Trinity shopping mall, nearby restaurants and Q-Park. Beautiful looking building, gorgeous scent as soon as you enter the lobby and the staff are very professional and welcoming. Easy online check-in and a decent £7.50 discount off the £25 24hr parking. The room was super clean, stylish decor and has a nice relaxing/romantic vibe. Large wall mounted TV with free Sky TV included, big open shower and although the entire hotel is very dark throughout, it's unique and works well. I would definitely stay here again and other Dakota hotels in future. 5*.

Visited here for the first time for Valentine’s Day, after hearing about its romantic atmosphere. Firstly, I must say, I absolutely agree. It is absolutely beautiful inside with candlelight and dimmed lightings surrounding. Secondly, the quality of service from the waitresses was outstanding; very professional and helpful. I’d only tried their set menu for valentines, but the food was overall good and well decorated, especially the dessert. However, as to my critical pallets, I thought the beef wellington was slightly too salty so I had to request lemon wedges to neutralise it. The dessert was overly sweet, like every part of it, so maybe an addition of an extra dimension of freshness could really uplift the experience(such as fresh fruit). Again, this was the set valentines menu, so not representative of their general menu, but I will be returning to try it. Lastly, I was surprised the bartender wasn’t able to make a common cocktail off the menu, maybe they didn’t have a bartender for that night as majority of people had wine & champagne instead. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a romantic dinner, or just in general.

Cannot fault my impromptu visit! Staff were excellent, food really was amazing 😍, very relaxed atmosphere, did I mention the food? Fantastic, this will not be my last visit, , also NO SERVICE CHARGE. So the choice is yours! Thankyou for a great evening

If only Google Maps had a 6 star option - Kendell's Bistro is one of the most enchanting and delightful restaurants I've ever visited. From the moment my partner and I walked in to celebrate our anniversary, we were met by warm and welcoming staff with outstanding and friendly customer service skills. Every member of Sharon and Steve's team were great. The atmosphere of this bistro is leagues ahead of every other restaurant I've been to in Leeds. Lit by candles and decorated with traditional French art pieces, you truly feel in the heart of France - the aurora is truly romantic and magical in all the right ways. Once we were seated, we were treated to a complementary class of fizz which was a nice touch. After some olives to start, we had the Lamb Shank and the Confit of Duck. Wow. Both dishes were plated eloquently and tasted absolutely divine. 10/10. Having enjoyed our meal, we were reassured that we had the table for the rest of the evening, so we enjoyed some wine and soaked up every bit of the atmosphere. To conclude, the work and heart that Sharon and Steve have put into this gem over 17 years shows. With unrivalled character, charm and pure delight, this is what dining is all about.

Oui oui oui! French bistro feeling restaurant with great service, food, wine, atmosphere. Fab. A real treat. Pretty reasonable pre-theatre menus. But we went nuts on the à la carte for the full delights. Lovely veggie main deep fried cauliflower cheese and veal chop.

A warm, delicate atmosphere with fast service and friendly staff. The food was delightful, tried snails for the first time and enjoyed them. The menu offers most of my go to French dishes - would definitely visit again especially to try the onion soup!

Amazing ambiance amazing food and amazing company loved every second of it. Brought me back to being in Paris. Wonderful restaurant what a fab birthday present. Thank you for the great service x
