Quite expensive food options and a bit too fancy. Nice lake outside the hotel and great for skating in the colder times of the year. Staff were wonderful and always cheerful to work. Pool was open and gym was really nice and clean. The outdoor bar was really cool and made of ice.

I love this place. The views alone make it worth the distance and location. Service is top-notch. The amenities are incredible. The shops and food are great. All staff take care of all guests. The only downside? It's far away from everything else (except for Moraine Lake and the Lake Louise Village itself). But if you've got a view like below, who would wanna leave?

Our first night here we were tired and hungry. We went to the Alpine social and had the best service. And an excellent meal. Shae was our server and she was amazing! Darsh was the manager and he was amazing! They were warm welcoming and the most gracious of hosts. The kitchen staff was on point because our meals were spectacular! We dined with them on 7/16/23. Thank you for being so great!!!

We had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff did a great job. There are many restaurants here and all the ones we tried had great drinks, food and service. The view of the lake is spectacular, with many large windows in the lobby and restaurants looking directly out, as well as outdoor seating. The property is very well maintained. The wifi is stable and speedy.

I simply cannot say enough about this magnificent hotel, in this magnificent location, and all of the magnificent people who work here. I have never in my life experienced this level of quality and care and attention to detail. The level of customer service is simply incredible. At every turn your every need and desire is anticipated and gracefully offered to you. The views are breathtaking. The quality of meals deserves Michelin stars. My family will never forget our stay here and we are already hoping to return again soon. Check in was a pleasure. The little extras in our room were so appreciated. The horseback excursion up the mountain was exhilarating. Sipping hot chocolate by the lake before bed is the stuff of dreams. This visit was only two days long but we will never forget it.

Loved our stay here and this place exceeded the expectations. Lake Louise is beautiful and view from our room was perfect as well . Service is excellent . Stayed there in last October and it was high chances to see northern lights during our stay. When I talked to staff about northern lights then they went above and beyond to recommend near by place to see and it was spectacular. We loved the sandwiches and food at pantry. It was perfect to pack lunch for day hikes . Also loved the in room dinning service . I would definitely stay here again .

Perfection. We stayed on the 8th floor with views so astounding I could have spent my whole vacation looking out the window. Restaurants were excellent, service was excellent. My only comment on my stay is I wish they had more of a lunch menu, sure the steaks were amazing, but something can be said for some chicken strips or a veggie platter. Pool, hot tub and sauna were excellent. We went for a massage at the spa and were treated like royalty. Every employee literally wants nothing else but to make your stay better. Great job.

Gorgeous views but rooms are mediocre with tiny tiny tiny beds. Spent more to get a lake view suite is highly recommended. Pool is indoor, very small, with an ultra strong smell of pool bleach. Gym is next to it, also small, so no one is using it. Some rooms doesn’t have A/C and can get really hot. Especially during summer and heat waves in spring season. They do provide small portable A/C units in these rooms but doesn’t have proper set up for it. The tech didn’t set it up right and the exhaust hot air circles back into the room. I have to extend and re-adjust the exhaust hose so it points outward. But even so it’s still not a good set up and still feels hot at night. But it looks like they are remodeling the rooms so hopefully it won’t be the issue anymore. Restaurants got nice setting and amazing views, food is ok with reasonable pricing. Overall the hotel is really nice so do upgrade yourself to a lake view suite (best if you go for the corner suite) and you’ll be amazed at how beautiful Lake Louise is.

We were blown away by our amazing view of the lake from our room, and were relieved to be staying here for ease of parking and ease of access to things around the lake in general. Being able to cut straight to the front of the line for canoe rentals was a huge plus of staying here (otherwise people who weren't staying at the chateau were waiting at least 2 hours...no joke). The only reason for 4 stars is the never-ending throngs of people EVERYWHERE at all times. Unlike our experience at Moraine Lake Lodge or Emerald Lake Lodge, there never seemed to be any reprieve from people here. It was constantly packed inside and out. Also, the hot tub and steam room area was disappointingly small with no view. Anyways, we were still glad we stayed here, mostly for the ease of access and the stunning view from our room. If you only want to splurge on a single place in the area, I would pick Moraine Lake Lodge over Lake Louise. Not only were the accommodations more luxurious and worth the price, but Moraine Lake itself was much more stunning in our opinion.

I am so mixed about this review. There is a massive construction project doing on in front of the hotel. The first thing you will see driving up is a large red crane towering over the building. It isn’t the sight of the crane that bothered me, it is the construction noise all day for 12 hours. Not peaceful at all. Also, we wanted to go on the sunrise tour to moraine lake and we were told it was full. I went back to the desk to see if there was any kind of a waitlist and the attendant said yes. This wasn’t offered to me the first time around. Also, the second attendant said they could take the larger bus and so she felt certain we would be able to go. As far as I know, it only takes one person yo drive a bus and if a larger bus could have been taken to accommodate more guests, why wouldn’t this be done on a busy august weekend? Who is making the decisions needs to make better ones and the concierge staff needs to be trained to a consistent level on one of the hotels key offerings. Disappointed for sure. Lovely location.

What a magnificent hotel. The location can't be bettered, our room had an amazing lake view. The in-room amenities were great but the bathroom could be more generous. The public amenities are gorgeous and luxurious. We especially enjoyed the living room for a relaxing evening. We are in the pub in the evening which is relaxed and informal, and breakfasted in the Louisa restaurant, they provided a amazing buffet and hot plates of delicious food. We have wanted to stay here for a very long time and it didn't disappoint.

A first-class hotel. Top-notch service from all people, with a fantastic view of Lake Louise and the mountains. Excellent food and accommodations. I had a discrepancy on my bill and Tom, the Outlet Supervisor, was expedient and helpful in ensuring everything was taken care of. The parking valet was also very polite and left bottled waters in my vehicle. I will certainly be staying here again.

Stayed the night as part of a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer. The was great but only a portable air-conditioning unit very noisy. Had breakfast great view but the food not very good considering the price. Found out if a guest you can get free coffee or tea up the stair by main desk, also a nice sitting area. The view from our room was excellent.

Amazing. From start to finish, the hotel and its staff provided exceptional service that went far and beyond my expectations. Everyone from the restaurant staff, to the concierge, to the equipment rental staff were all incredibly polite and went out of their way to be extra friendly and helpful. I proposed to my now-fiancee while at the hotel, and they did everything they possibly could to make it unforgettable. We'll be back!

Undergoing a large amount of building work. Great view of car park from our room. Had to insist on a dinner reservation, they seemed more happy to serve walk in people than guests paying $1000 per night. Too many none guests walking in hotel, and using facilities Not worth the money to stay at this hotel. Didn't actually speak to a Canadian, plenty of foreign staff that just didn't care.

Our stay at the hotel was very nice. It was very quiet and neat. The view of the lake was fantastic and so beautiful! All of our waiters/waitresses at all the various restaurants were very nice, especially Julia. She was very friendly and checked on us often. We are looking forward to coming back again!

This is the most beautiful location for a hotel! The view from our room of Lake Louise was stunning - it was like we were looking at a painting. We stayed 2 nights as part of our honeymoon, and it was excellent. The staff were so kind and made a big deal of our honeymoon celebrations! They were so welcoming and always happy to give you some advice about what's good to do nearby. We would love to come back again!

SPECTACULAR! We went here a couple years ago but I doubt much has changed. It still looks amazing. Tip: get here early!!! Parking is a b!@#% to find. We ended up parking at the base of the mountain by the shopping centre. (good thing we had the park pass, made the parking free) hiked an hour to Lake Louise. That was fun too though. It worth the hike when you get there. Lake Agnes was our real destination, but that’s for another review.

A much easier time finding parking here than Moraine Lake. It is as beautiful but in a different way. After the initial area, hike along the relatively flat path along the right side of the lake and you will witness the clear waters and amazing mountain sides until you reach the end of the lake, or instead, you can take Lake Agnes Trail from the beginning and search for the teahouse if you are up for more challenge.

A must do. Amazingly beautiful views. Can sit and watch the lake for hours for its beauty. Make sure to book the shuttle as parking gets full quickly. You can park and walk up too if this happens. They do not let you idle until a spot becomes available to keep the traffic flowing. Can go in for a Polar bear dip.

Beautiful. Gorgeous lake, lots of nice hikes and mountains to climb near by. We visited in early July, we had to arrive at 6am to get parking. The park and area surrounding lake is extremely crowded. Hard to enjoy the view or even take many photos. Was beautiful to see but I don't think I'd do it again.

Anyone saying Lake Louise isn’t as pretty obviously hasn’t seen it in midday light when the entire lake literally sparkles in Tiffany blue. This lake is so magnificent I can see why the Chateau Lake Louise was built here. The lake color changes from sunrise to sunset, with noon time being most vibrant. But it was beautiful all day. You can’t compare lake Louise to Moraine Lake or Emerald Lake, it’s got a very special lighter green. They are all beautiful with different shades of turquoise. It’s true that there are many people visiting and can get crowded, but if you think about that this is a special moment for everyone visiting the place, that’s a lot of shared special moments! I witnessed two proposals on a sunrise walk. Plus the lake is so huge you can always walk along the lake to get a quieter spot.

This is a great place to stay if you’re looking to easily access Lake Louise and Moraine. I would consider this an efficiency campground for people specifically wanting to visit those two lakes. The campsites are basic and quite close together, it is considered a quiet campground so loud music/radios aren’t allowed, they have a low tolerance for noise and rowdiness. Most people staying here are simply camping for the night to wake up early to do hikes or the lakes in the area. Because of this many people do get up around 4 AM so you will hear people packing up and cars. The train does run close by, so I would suggest earplugs if that bothers you. The facilities are fine, in the middle compared to other national parks. It is a high-volume park with a lot of turnover each day so the facilities may be a little more used than quieter campgrounds like Two Jack in Banff. There is unlimited firewood, the views from the campground are excellent and the walks along the Bow River are really lovely. Overall I had a great experience here, the campground shuttle to the park and ride was great, being able to wake up early to drive to Lake Louise was fantastic. And I found park staff friendly and helpful. If you’re camping here just as a place to stay it will be fine, if you’re looking for more of that true camping experience there are lots of other campgrounds in the area that will give you that.

Great campsite, situated really close to the Bow River. It’s a lovely hike to Lake Louise. The campsites themselves were quite close to one another, but this didn’t bother us as we had very quiet neighbours. We were in a camper van and everyone seemed respectful of noise. Good facilities. The toilets were a bit small and got a bit dirty with the mud, but showers were nice. Only cold water to wash dishes which made for cold hands during the colder season but otherwise everything was great! Would definitely stay again.

Compared to most in the area, it's a rather bland campground but in a great location for visitors in the Lake Louise area. The facilities are clean and kept up and the trail system is really nice for walking all the way into town. There isn't anything for kids on this side of the campground, so you'll have to entertain yourself. There also aren't very many fire pits in the trailer court, so that's a downer too. *Note that the train is directly beside the tracks and is very loud, so choose your spot wisely if you have the option to be picky.

A very busy train runs through the campground. It starts at 5:30am and goes every hour until 9:30am - then again in the evening. It is very loud. It woke us up several times every day we stayed here. Consider camping elsewhere if you can. We’ll never be back. We camped in the hard/soft sided area. You share a campsite with others and are very close to your neighbors. Water and dump on site, showers available. Pit toilets unless using the larger bathroom facilities in the center. Not close to lake Louise at all. Some trails running through the campground which can be nice. No playground or space for kids.

What a wonderful campground. We stayed here for a week and were very happy with our experience. One main shower house with about 7 showers, several bathroom houses scattered throughout with a sink for washing dishes, several spots for free wood, site for water fill-up and an abundance of sites. Crews make their rounds several times a day, just driving around, emptying trash vaults, and we even saw crews out picking up trash. This campground was very clean and well kept. There is a train in the area that goes by and makes some noise every once in awhile but it quickly becomes “white-noise” and just part of the experience. Would 100% camp here again and I hope we can someday.

I LOVE TRAIN … but it’s a bit too much you will get wake up by train every 2-3 hours at night… camping spots are nice and clean a it too close to one a other. Only one spot to take a shower so depending where is your campsite you may have to walk 10-15 min.

Level sites with big pads for your tent (we were car camping so didn't use the tent space). Sites were relatively close together so not a lot of privacy. Plenty of trees which provided shade (but also obscured the amazing views which were available at the south end of the campground. Washrooms were clean and maintained. Good showers (but no bench). Appreciated the bear fence to feel a little safer at night.

Great campground. Some precisions are needed in sight of the other comments : - fire wood is not free, you have to pay a fire permit - train is loud, but should not wake you if you’re not a light sleeper - there is only one shower building, but if walking a few hundred meters is hurtful to you, please go elsewhere - no park attendant was ever rude to me here. - spots are of decent size, and visible online :) Improvements could be made (small fire pits in relation to the firewood), not enough dishwashing sinks, and no hot water in most dishwashing sinks. Still a great camping experience.

Great campground. Note that the Lake Louise Soft Sided campground (located on the West side of the river) does allow for smaller hard sided trailers (<20 feet) on some of the sites. This side is much more treed and scenic. There are nice paved pathways throughout the campground for bikes. The washroom and cleaning faculties are also very nice.

We stay here every year and love the campground. However, this year, from July 24-29, the facility maintenance was the worst we've seen. The men's room on our circle was running out of t-paper when we arrived, and 2 days later it completely ran out, even though the roll holders have room for two large rolls. We went to use the showers but they were being cleaned, so we came back 20 minutes later when they were done. Despite being just cleaned, we found showers with large globs of hair on the floor, band-aids on the floor, and empty pop cans by the windows. It seems like the kids they hire to clean the place had no oversight. The people hired to keep the sites clean seemed to do a much better job and we had no issues there.

Bathroom is not clean and urinal broken down without anybody cares. 4 days of staying without any action taken. Shower room curtains old and filthy-shower curtains are cheap and there’s no reason to keep the same every year. There was no fire wood first day and second day old and dirty wood was supplied and a lot of smoke was produced when burnt . Washroom sinks are inconvenient and no hot water. The camp site fees are not low. Do all this camp staff not care to put money and energy to improve this?

Good campsite, very close to Lake Louise. Clean washrooms. Losing a star for no available firewood for 2.5 days (temps dropped to 1 C). Also no trail network inside the campsite itself however there is electrified fence along the parameter to keep bears out. Quiet during the nights to except for the occasional train. Will definately be coming back. Pup approves 😃

Hard sided campground is well kept, easy access to electricity, propane fires are allowed at the "no fire pit" sites, which is nice. Excellent trail access and loads of trails down to the Bow River. All our neighbours were respectful and quiet, and because it's hard sided only, we found that the bathrooms/showers were always clean and available since most people use their trailers/RVs. Also, the drinking water here is absolutely unreal. Best I've had.

Great campsite. Tent spots are gravel so hard to put in tent pegs and also important to have a good mat. But has bathrooms and hot showers, sinks to wash your dishes, and an electric fence making it feel a lot safer.

Absolutely love this campsite. Great location-walkable to village, along the river and hikes to Lake Louise. Electric fence around so a feeling of a bit more security from animals such as bears. Facilities aren't always the cleanest but can cope with them. Free firewood with fire permit.

Odd, the reviews have been reset ... Anyway, this campsite was one of the single worse camping experiences I've ever had. The train traffic is constant, as in one an hour and it takes 10-15 mins to pass, you might think "I can sleep through a passing train" well they have that covered, by sounding the train whistle constantly on approach you're sure to be wide awake to listen to the constant thunder of the locomotive. If you like a lack of sleep at a premium price then this is the site for you ... and there would be many more 1 stars but it seems Alberta Parks keeps resetting the ratings!

We stopped here for a night while road-tripping around Jasper/Banff/Glacier, not realizing that it was located right next to the train tracks. "Oh well," I thought, "it will just be like some extra white noise." WRONG. Being woken up by the thunderous roar of the Canadian railway not once but three times throughout the night is a punishment like none other. Honestly I'm surprised and thankful my toddler managed to sleep through it. The campsite was fine, bathrooms were fine, and it was nice to be next to Lake Louise. But would I stay here again? Absolutely not.

Stayed 3 nights here in my 24ft class C RV. Loved the mountain views and proximity to the path along the beautiful river. Everyone mentioned the train - it's honestly not that bad, and I consider myself pretty sensitive to sounds. It only came a few times at night, otherwise mostly during the day. Any horn sounds are from far away. And I was in site 7 which is one of the closest sites to the train! Pictures of camp site from booking seem fairly accurate for determining mountain views. Showers are far away, and were quite dirty when I used them. To be fair - cleaners came right after I showered so may have been bad timing. Verizon cell phone service was sometimes great, other times frustrating.

Marvelous camp ground for trailers. They put two units in one wide pull through driveway to save the trees. So even though there is 189 sites you wouldn't think so it is that big, as you cannot see far through all the trees. The spots are very large and the tables are offset so your not beside the other trailer. Lots of privacy as the sites are very long. It is a long campground that runs right along the Bow river with trails along side. Lots of washrooms but only 1 shower facility. We don't mind the walk but some people bristle. Clean, modern with unlimited hot water! There is a dump site on the way out and you're close to the village. Water is very tasty here so load up.

Stayed here in a van before skiing in lake Louise the next day. Great heated restroom with showers. Reasonably priced.

Nice area but the site's are jamed together. If the site was for 1 RV it would be perfect but they stack 2 in the space. On the plus side they have 50, 30 and 20 amp. Power no water or sewer hook ups. There's a dump station. Was there on a 3 day holiday and someone in management has banned alcohol.

The train is very loud at night. Difficult to sleep through the whistle/horn as it can come multiple times a hour. I just ended up waking up a lot. The sites are not as advertised. I picked 3 sites next to each other for our group. However, the website showed them as shared sites with a top and bottom. In reality, they are shared by a line down the middle. Therefore, our sites that are next to each other on the website, turned out to be with another site in between. Hard to plan for the group gatherings. When I brought it up to them, they said they knew. Honestly, it kinda ruined it. The worst part though…. Some of the staff were flat out rude and yelled at us. Told us that our neighbours had complained and left. In all reality, they left because of how the shared sites were set up. They didn’t even unpack. Not much room in between campers and I can see why that’s annoying. Threatened to kick us out and yelled?! Drove by slowly every hour. Felt like we were kids being watched and we aren’t… we are all in our 40’s with children just trying to relax. I would not recommend this place. It is sad that the gov couldn’t have better represented here… considering there are so many people from out of country. Positive: there is a lovely bike path and river spot.

Nice campsites, decently big and in the woods. The showers are in 2 buildings, one for each side of the campground (hookups and no hookups) and can be a long walk depending on where your campsite is. The dishwashing is in the same building as the showers. 5 showers in the building.

Very close to Moraine / Lake Louise. The RV campground is decent. Electric hookups only. And the showers are far away. But semi private. Close to a river. And well off the main road

Great campsite in a perfect location, close to lake Louise town, lake Louise and lake moraine. The train is loud at night but we stayed in whistlers campsite and tunnel mountain and they were all the same, the train sounds it's horn when it's approaching a crossing at night. Close to the river which provided beautiful views and walks into town. Plenty of trees in the campsite so more private that others we have stayed at. The toilet blocks that were the closest to us were a bit old, but we stopped at the toilet and shower blocks further down and they were newly renovated/ built and much more modern. Plenty of waste disposal bays, much better than other campsites we have been to, we didn't have to que.

Good thing is, that we had electricity at the campingsite. Unfortunally, the washrooms are far away. Only one facility with showers and they are closed during the day for about four hours. There are trains transpassing every twenty minutes. The train-sound itself is okay, but the very loud whistle drowns everything else...even at night. Also Parks Canada patrols regularly...to watch bears or campers? Anyway, it was okay, but i really missed something like a room where you can warm up after a cold night or cook something. They only have a dark, open kitchen shelter that works with a wood-buring oven on the soft-sided campground.

Perfectly located, but that's all it has. Parks Canada needs to spend some of those ever increasing fees and clean this place up. Feels like a low rent state park not Canada's pride and joy for a premier national park. But then again it's always packed despite a horrendous booking experience so I guess they figure why bother....

Inspite of what is said, remember it's a CAMPGROUND. Clean spacious and you cannot beat the location. Water and sewer are available to fill and dump at a close by designated place, I'm assuming due to the possibility of attracting bears to your site. Bathrooms are clean and showers for FREE have plenty of hot water. The FREE shuttle to the Park Pre-paid shuttle area is FREE. They have a meeting place in the campground to catch it. Highly recommended getting the paid park shuttle service for more than one day. It will take you to both Louise and Moraine. The nearby village has grocery liquor sporting goods store and pub. Yes the camp spots are two to a spot but they are huge!

Hike to this place from Mirror lake was tough but worth it. Very cozy area. We ordered MASALA TEA and i was not impressed with the quality with price. Tea bag was placed in hit water and it was strong. Ordered hot chocolate and it was too watery then milky or creamy. We also had chocolate chip cookies and tastes like store bought nothing special. I understand that there is tea house available after the beautiful hike but as far as food, i was not satisfied with what I ordered. I forgot to bring cash but tea house was able to charge $1 fee for credit card transaction.

What an experience. The hike to the tea house was worth the tasty bits offered and the views to enjoy them alongside. This trek is not for the faint and took quite a bit out of us the entire way up but the reward was well worth the experience. Food was tasty and drinks were refreshing. Be mindful there is no electricity or running water. You have to take your trash with you. They do accept cards with a fee but would prefer cash. Be mindful of the birds…. They will steal your food.

Tough hike. Uphill going to the tea house. If you have knee problems it will be a challenging one for you. But once you reach the top you’ll be in awe of the scenery. You’ll pass by Mirror lake prior to reaching Lake Agnes. Be sure to take a moment there to rest. I felt a different aura on that lake that I could not explain..;) it’s beautiful. I was mesmerized 😵‍💫😉. Once you’re at the tea house make sure to get a cup of their famous black tea. Their tuna sandwich is good too. They accept credit card and cash. (FYI: Some hikers bring their own snacks and are just having tea or drinks from there.) ☕️🥪😉

Beautiful place. Lake Agnes was still mostly frozen in early June. Completely worth the hike. We had a tiny wait (8-10 min) to get a table around 3pm in the afternoon. Was a wonderful experience, and a tea is the perfect companion to slowly enjoy while sitting and appreciating the amazing views. Energy date ball with peanut butter was really good too. Bring cash for food, more if you want merchandise. Offer to take a bag of trash down for them if you are able (tie it to your backpack, it requires almost no effort).

An easy hike from Lake Louise, absolutely worth the tea and snacks at this cosy Tea House. The place can get extremely busy with lineups so I’d suggest if you are planning on doing this hike, start early early morning and among the first ones to get up there & enjoy your tea peacefully.

The hike was amazing and totally worth it! Breathtaking views from above. The teahouse was cute but the tea not so much. Note if you want to purchase food and drinks, they prefer cash but Credit Cards are accepted for a $1 fee. Also, you have to carry all your garbage down back the trail with you so be prepped with an empty garbage bag. I loved the scones; tried the Agnes Tea House Breakfast blend and was alright. The hike is not too difficult; a bit challenging since there are small rocks on the pathway. Definitely give it a try!

Went in July 10. Hiking level of difficulty is medium/moderate. You will pass by Mirror Lake before reaching Lake Agnes Tea House. It feels rewarding to have a place to sit down & rest and have a snack & drink after about an hour & a half of hike with very beautiful background of Lake Agnes and waterfall. The sound of waterfall is very relaxing. I found it very surprising to have a cell phone signal. You have to hike a little bit up to go to washrooms. The path going up past the washrooms will lead you to Little Beehive. Hike for another 30 minutes & you’ll reach the top with even more spectacular views!

Cool little spot above Lake Louise. We got there around 3:30, and they closed at 4. They stayed open a bit late and it took about an hour to get through the line. I would recommend going earlier in the day because a lot of stuff was sold out when we got there. The views are awesome and vibes are cool!

A cute little tea house! The menu changes and some items may be soldout. You have the option of takeout or dine-in; both don’t take that much time as most people are only snacking. There is space for bags under your seat/table but I would recommend to pack lightly as it does tend to get crowded. The hike up was a little over 1hour and fairly easy to get too. There are a couple of rougher paths but nothing too dangerous. The hike down was definitely easier. There is a vault-style washroom but there may be a long lineup so I would recommend avoiding it unless you really gotta go! The chocolate cake was sweet; a good dose of energy! It would be nice to have the menu in more places. I’d recommend going early; these pictures were from around 9am on a Saturday

Very nice meal and view of the water from our table. A standout was the homemade bison ravioli, which was tender, flavorful, and something unique on the menu. The overall price point is a little high, but was expected given the location. The kettle chips were a nice appetizer. Went for Mother's Day dinner and was able to get a late reservation and as a nice touch, they handed out roses.

The beauty of the setting and truly delicious meal were honestly outshone by the amazing service we received on 6/30! When Brooke, our incredible server, found out we were celebrating an anniversary and end to treatment for a significant medical issue, we were treated to sparkling wine and our entire meal was comped!!! Honestly the sweetest gesture! We will never forget the experience! What a wonderful place and a wonderful day! Stunning, delicious and show stopping service sum up our afternoon at the Lakeside room!!!

Had a lovely experience at Lakeview lounge restaurant. With an mesmerising lake Louise view and beautiful ambience, this place offers an amazing dining experience that one must visit. Staffs were super friendly and polite. My table was taken care by Emily- such an amazing hospitality offered, loved her professionalism. We ordered drinks and they were amazing. I loved the blueberry Yule which was a non alcoholic drink. Then we ordered our food and it was great. Tried vegan brown and chickpea fritters were my instant favourite. I totally dig into it. We ordered prawn linguini but customised it to be vegetarian and it was good too. Loved the blackened ahi Tuna as well along with other dishes we ordered. And we were celebrating that day, the restaurant also gave us complimentary New York cheesecake and that was very generous. They have parking little outside the premise but it is wheelchair access. Given there standard, there washrooms are very well kept. Whether you are staying in the lodge or not, if you are in the area you must get this amazing experience. Prices are bit more than average but it totally justifies the ambience and the quality of food. Grateful for there generous service and absolute amazing food.

We stayed at the hotel and ate at the Lakeview Lounge twice for lunch. The cheese platter was huge (really, too much for 2 people, but delicious) and all the desserts were also amazing. We especially liked the pineapple dessert 👌 Our waiter was very nice, welcoming and efficient. The views, as you can imagine, are wonderful. Pricey, but I guess it's expected for a luxury hotel set in a heavenly location.

Had a lovely lunch with my wife here on a tour, reasonably priced for high end food. Beautiful sites by the window, only had to wait 30 min too whenever they said it was busy!! Tried the Locally foraged Grilled Mushroom pasta. Sauce was incredible! Mushrooms were perfect! My only complaint was the bread wasn't buttered or cut well was Butterfield wich was very odd, and could've been more full, the plate felt empty. My wife had the candied farmers vegetable salad with Quinoa which was very nice and fresh, would've liked to see more of a full plate tho, as well had the olives which were ok, just ok said warm but weren't and only came with 2 bread sticks, four would've been nice.

On the fence with this. Service was great, views are great, it's pretty inside but the food... Just wasn't really worth the price. I could get a similar meal at The Keg for half the price and same service. It just wasn't as magical as everything else. It was like seeing a really pretty wrapped present, being excited, opening it, and finding socks. But as a celiac, I did enjoy the fresh gluten free bread. First time I've had that in a restaurant in years. Warm bread was the highlight of my meal. I'd go back if someone else is paying.

Bison Ravioli had no interesting taste whatsoever. uruurueueueuuuy is your hall meeting time for next weekend or so what is the best way possible for me to get the back of your room and then we will have a plan to come get you something to do that night or something like this weekend and we will need a penguin

Good food with excellent view and pretty good service. Really enjoyed our time here. Food was really delicious and freshly made. Service was good too. A little pricey but you pay for the view !

really nice burger and chips, aioli was a bitter disappointment, tried to make me buy sparkling water without saying it cost money, atmosphere nice though, also hard to find anything under 25$ expensive menu, felt like waitress kept trying to sell us more. second time coming waiter came to us after 10 minutes. we then waited for 11 minutes for a check

Highly recommend for everyone who wants to grab something food and chill in front of the beautiful lake Louise. Service is good, and it will run slow if the space starts to fill up. Make sure to arrive before 11:30 am or even at 11:00 am to secure your ideal seat, and service is also faster around that time. This place is not ideal for someone picky with food option, but I still gotta say some of the options on the menu are still tasty. So ask your waitress for recommendations.

Our first venue and I knew it was going to be a great trip, thanks in part to Joe from Wales for recommending the Negroni (x2) for a sweet afternoon wind down. Thai chicken and grilled shrimp salad. Didn’t get a chance to come back as we had to try other venues but the ambiance, lite fare, après drinks and of course the Lake view, had me lounging for a few!

There are signs everywhere warning people who aren’t guests to stay off the premises. Ignore them, and drop in here for a coffee, souvenirs, or a surprisingly good lunch (the bison ravioli was superb). They have an app to book your slot, but we just turned up and were seated, served quickly, and given a great meal for lunch at a decent price. While you’re waiting enjoy the extraordinary view, and the hotel surrounds (but the extensive building work makes it unpleasant to sit outside right now). There’s also a grab and go with decent coffee, rolls, salads and massive pastries. Well worth the stop, even if you can’t afford to stay here.

The view from this restaurant out was so beautiful. We all got the bison ravioli, which was delicious, but I could have had a bit larger potion or a side. The desserts were fine.

The restaurant was transferred from a train station, it could be a wonderful to see train passing while you dinning. The restaurant is well managed and the staffs are friendly, However, the food is good, but not as good as expected. it is a little bit pricy as well. we spent more than 100 $ for 2 main dishes and 1 cocktails. if you come to visit, make your budget at least from 50-60$ per person.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Railway Restaurant in Lake Louise, and I must say, the Bison Burger with Caesar Salad I ordered was a delightful experience. My husband and I are from Florida, and we visited this restaurant after a long day at Morraine Lake and Lake Loise. Thankfully, we came when they were about to open for the evening hours and were able to be seated at a table, but we highly recommend making a reservation since many people were turned away if they didn't already have one. We ordered salmon and a bacon wrapped beef tenderloin with potatoes, and everything was delicious! For dessert, we had a strawberry rhubarb that was also delicious. Our server, Megan, was so sweet and provided spectacular service to us. We would definitely visit this spot again if we're ever in town.

A Hidden Gem in Plain Sight I had an incredible experience at Lake Louise Railway Station. Such a quaint, historic building (Interior photo) with the most accommodating staff and best service of any restaurant in the area. I was traveling alone and found the atmosphere so welcoming. Meagan was an exceptional server; extremely attentive and pleasant. As you can see, my dinner was to die for...the duck was prepared to perfection in a light morel mushroom sauce with a delicious variety of vegetables cooked to perfection. The plate was a work of art, so I took a photo to show my wife since I devoured the meal. This is a Don't Miss experience.

This is one of my most favorite meals I’ve had in the Banff area. It felt like a really good home cooked meal. I got the ribeye with roasted veg and twice baked potato. The steak was cooked perfectly and it was huge. I wish they hadn’t peppered the steak, but I might be one of the few people who doesn’t like pepper. Reasonably priced and super friendly staff. Fast service. Cool atmosphere.

This is a restaurant you don't want to miss. Located at the end of it's own road in the Lake Louise village, it is the original train station in Lake Louise. As if on cue, a train roared past just as we sat down at our table. There is a ton of history in this building. Beautifully preserved antiques and photos from the late 1800's and early 1900's. So cool to look at them all. Gorgeous wood and beautifully decorated rooms. We were welcomed at the door with a lovely roaring fire. Our server, Meghan, was a delight our entire evening. She was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and lovely to chat with throughout our dinner. Service was exceptional and attentive. The food was exceptional as well. Meghan brought us delicious, warm, homemade buns with caraway seeds and flavoured butter to start. We ordered a side caesar salad to share and it arrived in a lovely presentation. The smoked peppercorn bacon added a delicious touch to a well balanced salad. Just the right amount of dressing too. We ordered the Alberta ribeye steak and the pork schnitzel. Both were a hit. The ribeye was perfectly grilled to a medium rare and served with crispy onions which paired beautifully together. The seasoning on the steak was perfect and every bite just melted in the mouth. We both chose the twice baked potato as our side and it was as delicious as it sounds. The pork schnitzel was pounded to a perfect thinness and came with a delicious light breading, exactly as presented on the menu. Lovely al dente vegetables ( rapini, grilled peppers and zucchini) accompanied our mains. The homemade pear chutney was a perfect marriage for the schnitzel. Not to be missed! Good selection of cocktails, beer and a good wine list to choose from. The portions are very generous as well. We managed to find a little room to share a dessert so we tried the maple pecan pie served with vanilla ice cream and a blueberry coulis. All in all, a perfect place for a special dinner or just a great choice if you appreciate great food, perfectly prepared!

Excellent. Located in the original train station built in 1910. Real cracking fireplace, great decor and ambiance. Fairly simple menu. We both had the chefs plate which was Duck Breast that day. I had French Onion Soup and my wife had Butter Nut Squash soup. Excellent wine selection, many from the BC Okanagan. We both had Strawberry Rhubarb Pie for dessert. Great service. Really enjoyed our evening. Will go back again when we are in the area.

A truly historic restaurant. Like a museum! A must for delicious food and an atmospheric dining. 1 kids dish, 1 French onion soup, 1 ribs, 3 drinks $115 tips included. Their hot chocolate is one of the best ever!

Amazing food and service. The Bison ribs were sweet and "fall off the bone" tender. Smothered mushrro chicken was almost as good. Wish we had asked for the Patio. It was a bit stuffy in the inside dining room. Bar area seemed to be the best inside place to sit. Don't miss the gift shop! NOT dog friendly, even the patio. That is a shame.

Nice little place to grab a bite to eat in the area. We had the battered cod and hamburger. Both were pretty good for the price and our server was fast and friendly. My fries were a little bit of a mixed bag though as some were crispy and others were a little stale tasting. They were busy enough so it's a little odd. Verified that you can park in the hostels parking lot if you're eating there.

Surprisingly good dining options in a warm, inviting and unpretentious setting with great service. The poutine side was delicious and so were the chicken fingers. The Thai sautee was a tad too sweet but we still enjoyed it nevertheless. We returned the next morning for a huge lumberjack breakfast which was sufficient to satisfy the largest appetites (although if you like your eggs runny, be sure to order them sunny side up as ours came fried when we ordered them lightly turned over). All in, a good place for a nice meal.

The service and atmosphere were great. The food was great as well. I would have given 5 stars the food, except my wife's toast was very lightly toasted, so much so that it didn't have any colour to it, and the butter didn't melt into it. Mel was our server, and she was excellent! Very personable, friendly, and prompt to make certain we were good. The only other thing I didn't like but accepted because of the excellent service was that they added the tip to our bill before checking with us.

I think rating a restaurant is important to consider the relative quality and availability of competition within the area. There are very few options at Lake Louise, so in the grant scheme of things this place is fine. I do want to say the pasta is quite salty and the fried cod is a bit tough. I am not trying to be overly critical, but I think improvement is very doable. Please keep it up.

Firstly there was a huge wait for a table, it was a lot with kid. Although that is expected when its the season. After the wait the hostess and servers all were very pleasant and nice to talk to. We ordered, the order not take too long to come, but one of the dishes which had rice in it, was undercooked. Which no one really ate, the chicken was very soft and nice, but the rice took all away. Others dishes were decent but not worth such a long wait.

We stopped in for lunch after a marriage enrichment weekend at Fairmont Lake Louise and honestly this was the dessert after a phenomenal weekend… the service, food and prices were all excellent!! We also loved the history of the building etc! Thanks for the delicious food!! 😁

This place has become one of my favourite breakfast/brunch/lunch spots. Lodge/cabin style, friendliest of staff and a warm inviting atmosphere with hot food. Very reasonably priced - quality vs quantity. Would highly recommend their mushroom burger or their omelette (breakfast only). Generous portions, food is hot, fresh and tasty without any salt or greasiness to it. Staff here is amazing. Majority of food items fall between $13-19. In the winter they have a roaring fireplace inside too.

Wow, really yummy food and even though there was only the one server on tonight, and the place was pretty busy, he still made time to swing by a couple times and was polite and fast at the same time. Came here after reading the reviews about the good quality food, great value, and cozy atmosphere and we both agree that all of the above are 110% accurate. We had the angry peyto and Swiss mushroom melt burgers and both were yummy and juicy. We'll definitely be coming back here again on our next visit to Louise 👍👌👍

The price of food is very reasonable, especially in the Lake Louise area. They have the elk burger if you want to try something different. But I personally will recommend the butter chicken. The staff are friendly. They do get busy because there are not many restaurants in the area. I will come back next time when I visit Banff National Park.

We ordered the beef burger 5/10 and chicken sandwich 10/10 to share between two of us. The beef burger was average, nothing stood out, it was a tad bit cold. The chicken sandwich was very good, chicken was well cooked without it being oily at all, super crispy and was pretty spicy with the jalapeño’s, would def get that again. The service was really great!

The view is the everything, can’t beat it. The food is average; below my expectation given the price. Nothing really stands out but not much to complain about. My biggest thing is that there are not a lot choices; during our second day of a 3-day stay, we basically tried every item on the menu and don’t have anything else to pick. If have to say something, pasta and rice dishes tend to be tastier than burgers. The tomato soup is very plain.

I still remember our experience a year ago on our anniversary. The Alberta steak is hands down the best overall steak I've ever eaten, and still is to this day. The rest of the food was above average, but not mind-blowing like the steak. Service was great, they constantly filled our water and the view from the window table was great, looking for the lake. Definitely worth eating here if you can and get the Alberta steak!!

I have to write this review in two parts - one for afternoon tea and one for dinner. Afternoon tea was absolutely extraordinary. Definitely not cheap (65$ for vegan menu, 70$ for regular menu), but definitely worth it. I loved that they had a separate vegan menu with scones and spreads, finger sandwiches, and desserts. My favorite was the carrot cupcake! The experience was so decadent and satisfying. 5 stars for the afternoon tea. Dinner was a little underwhelming. There were very few vegan options - 1 salad and 2 side dishes (local mushrooms and asparagus risotto). These options were all tasty but overpriced and not very filling. 3 stars for the dinner. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was unparalleled.

We thought the food was great! Dined twice, and service was wonderful. (We did find interesting that the bread and potatoes were kind of stale but forgave it in the name of not being wasteful maybe🤔). The bison and beef steak were cooked perfectly and paired well with their bottle of Bordeaux, and the Aurora cocktail was our favorite🤤

The place is quite pricy but provides a spectacular view of Lake Louise while dining. We didn’t have a reservation at the hotel but we were able to dine in after a bit of a wait. The service was extraordinary and they were very accommodating towards allergies and food restrictions. Prawn Linguine (4/5): I was able to get the prawn linguine substituted and made vegetarian. The dish was extremely tasty but a bit creamy for my preference

Had one of the most amazing experiences in my life here! I came here with my family for my birthday and had an awesome time enjoying the lake view and the food (most dishes around $30) in the outdoor area, that was kept warm with torches. To top it off, we had the most fun and charismatic waiter go the extra mile for us to make our afternoon extra special. Thank you very much, Eric ❤️

Travelled to Lake Louise today and dropped into the Fairview for lunch as a must do. Was bitterly disappointed with the Lake View Lounge. We all had burgers (AAA Angus and Buttermilk Chicken) with french fries. I have never had such a disappointing burger and fries. The Brioche buns were hard and stale (we have these often and even make our own) and the whole burger was dry and tasteless. The fries were limp and cold from plating. We all like burgers, but these were woeful and not cheap. Very disappointed and looks can be deceiving....not to be repeated

Pricey but worth experiencing it once. I don't think you can find a better view of lake Louise from any restaurant. Truly breathtaking setting inside the Fairmont hotel. We went for the afternoon high tea. The menu that comes with the tea is set, however, they can swap couple items if you don't want it. All sandwiches and desserts are small one bite size and comes in three tier plate arrangement. Please look at pictures to understand the service, it is not your regular menu. Worth trying it once.

Went in for afternoon tea since lunch and dinner are for stay in hotel guests only. The view was spectacular and our server was excellent despite how busy this place was. Extremely rude hotel gate attendant woman. It was hard to check in with the hostess because restaurant entrance is next to washroom. Food quality has gone downhill since the last time I visited for afternoon tea and dinner.

Nice view from the restaurant, but the food were disaster. Prepare a full stomach before you come in. We ordered slow cooked salmon and steak. I thought slow cooked salmon means cooking in a low temperature to make the fish taste soft and tender. But seems slow cooked in this restaurant means cooking slow only. We ordered a medium steak. But it was super dry. We nearly thought that we ordered beef jerky instead.
