Great beach overall for snorkeling, walking, relaxing, & viewing the sunset. Snorkeling is pretty good at Black Rock, at the far right end of the beach. Saw 2 turtles, some eagle rays & plenty of fish over the few times going out. The part of the beach near Black Rock (north end) is pretty wide, allowing for plenty of room. Slightly crowded but not that bad, Kapalua Bay was much busier (but snorkeling was better at Kapalua) . The backdrop of nearby islands & Black Rock make this a very picturesque place. As the sun sets a diver lights torches & jumps in - it’s hard to tell when this happens though. The torches are lit through the sunset which adds to the scenery.

Great beach with lots of activities that can be planned. Great for families and snorkeling. Great place to cliff dive and see sea turtles or walk down further for parasailing and other beach going activities.

Nice boardwalk made out of granite rock. The boardwalk stretch along the resort row, but beaches is nothing to see. Not much sand to walk on before you got hit with waves. The sand is a bit steep when getting into the water. So you are either in the water or boardwalk. Kinda disappointed with all the beaches in Maui.

My absolute favorite beach on Maui. Avoid the one further north, too many rocks in the water. This one has really good waves, depending on the day, got totally rolled by a big one! Thought my shoulder was close to dislocated, so pretty big wave. This is a beach where they load and unload a lot of tourist sail boats. On the one hand annoying as they come in and hog the beach for a bit, on the other fun to watch. Plenty of showers right off beach. Also plenty of restaurants steps away. Parking is free in places or you can park at the Whalers Village shopping center parking (pricey) and then walk straight through the shopping mall. You might get your parking validated if you buy something there. There are places to stay right here too, so really a good place.

One of my favorite beaches ☀️ clear turquoise / blue water and soft sand with black rock in the background. Kid friendly! Very beautiful and super convenient to access from hotel.

Gorgeous stretch of beach! There is a pathway that runs behind the hotels so you can get onto the beach. Lots of space to spread out, but I can see it getting really busy during the day.

Beautiful, clean, soft sand, amazing sunsets and plenty of activities to do at this beach. Would recommended to any one, couple or family with kids.

Great beach that will have an awesome sunset view. It’s a very high populated tourist spot, so if you’re looking for something more intimate, you may look elsewhere.

Amazing and Beautiful Banyan tree! Must see in person to truly admire its beauty. Branches extend 100 ft in either direction and the tree itself is over 150 years old. Plenty of places to sit and relax in the shade along with historical buildings nearby espalier. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby as well. You can make a day exploring this little community.

Most beautiful tree I’ve ever seen. So incredible how long the branches are. Wonderful shade after you’ve been the shops on Front Street. Definitely check out the historic courthouse to learn about the island and it’s history. It wasn’t too crowded for a weekend, and were able to take lots of photos.

Amazing tree to relax under, no climbing allowed. Historic courthouse and waterfront where you can select a sightseeing or fishing tour. Plenty of shops and food choices nearby.

Exquisite banyan court. The tree is massive and is a very cool thing to visit. Love how the tree is supported by many other trees. Make sure to go through the entire circle to appreciate all of it. Mid day is a good time to go when the crowd seems to be less.

Banyan tree seems to grow bigger each year. First set eyes on this tree 1970. Appreciate all the benches, A few occupied by homeless but they were not bothersome. Restrooms closely. 4th of July weekend so it was crowded. Disappointed that upkeep of town walkways not like "back in the days". Very dirty, unkempt.

An amazing experience. Our first time in Hawaii and was told to definitely go see the oldest living banyan tree, glad we did. If iever get back to Maui i will be returning to the harbor and the courtyard there on Front St across from the wharf...also a great dining and shopping experience.

Very cool. Not only is this a piece of living history, it is a shaded oasis, welcomed after any day under Lahaina's sunshine. I've never seen a tree this complex and huge. Just imagine all that it has provided to Islanders over the years.

There is a park in downtown Lahaina with a well preserved, old, large banyan tree. The tree branches extend down into the ground and whole tree covers an area of about 2 acres. It appears to be many trees, but they are all part of the same tree. The tree provides a great area to escape the sun on a hot day if you are walking the city or shopping. In one corner of the same park is the remains of the old fort that protected the city from sea attack in the mid 1800s. The current courthouse sits behind the tree and beside the old fort monument. I still have not gotten accustomed to the many chickens and roosters that run free throughout Maui including here. They are everywhere!

Tourist destination with lots of shops. Very few local made. Tons of the usual t-shirts and cheap jewelry and dust catchers that say Maui.

So many different shops and restaurants and even a huge Banyan tree.

Small museum but rich in history. I loved the banyan trees in front of it! It’s worth coming here to learn more about the native culture.

Small museum and visitor center in the main street of Lahaina. The museum is small and shows some old artifacts used by the native Hawaiians, tools used in the whaling era and the furniture used back when the building was used as a courthouse. There's no entrance fee but they have a donation box to help maintain the museum. IMO wouldn't call it a must-see destination when visiting Maui, but wouldn't hurt to visit it if you are around the Front Street in Lahaina.

The Lahaina Visitors Center has closed. The historic exhibits in the halls and museum are still open. Beautiful views of Lahaina Harbor and of the Lahaina Banyan Tree from upstairs 🌺

Also known as Airport Beach this is a great area for snorkelling, beach, swim.s, diving and PERFECT sunsets. It's just a short walk along the Boardwalk from our MK806 condo at the Maui Kai.

Snorkeling here was AMAZING! All kinds of Butterfly fish and reef fish. The farther away from black rock beach is the better snorkeling. We walked about 1/10th of a mile (North) to the beach entrance from the main pavilion and saw octopus and sea turtles too. The sunsets are magical at this beach. If you’re using fins - recommended - sit down once it starts dropping off in the water to put them on. The Coral here is just amazing to view let alone all the reef fish you’ll see. Highly recommend for snorkeling.

Solid beach. Big parking lot, showers, and washrooms. Crowded and not the greatest for swimming or SUP. Tons of snorkelers though. Reef comes right up to the beach. Nice view but Napili beach is better.

This beach is not super crowded, there’s places to rinse your feet and body off, there’s usually parking and bathrooms, and there’s an amazing reef right in front of you. What’s better than that?! This beach is probably one of the best that we went to our entire Maui trip. I would recommend bringing a beach umbrella or a small tent since shade is hard to come by. Other than that, magnificent beach!

Beautiful beach. Lots of parking, spots to hang out, and more. Saw lots of whales near the shore and enjoyed laying in the sun and walking along the shoreline.

Best snorkeling experience in Maui for me. The conditions in northwest were not good with strong surf so we decided to come down to kahekili beach and we were not disappointed. Saw lots of fish and a large Honu feeding and floating. Best snorkeling spot is parallel to the beach on the reef after the sandy parts. Good facilities and a large parking lot.

This was one of our favorite beaches while staying in Maui. We found parking close to the beach and ended up walking on a little boardwalk further down towards the Lahaina resort. There are some trees there you can park yourself under to get shade or just move a little forward and grab a lot of sunshine. The waves were small and comfortable for a small children to adults. They were restrooms down the boardwalk a little bit to visit but if you’re in the area this is the place to go.

This is my favorite beach on Maui. You can snorkel, dive, just swim, just chill on the beach. They have a big grass area, gazebo, bathrooms, showers. Very clean beach, not very crowded. Highly recommend it..

Amazing food. Amazing scenery. This place is an absolute must while on the island! We called ahead and made reservations for 4, and we're able to get right in on time. It is right on the beach, so you get a great view of the ocean! Make sure to bring some sunglasses if you go during sunset because that sun gets brutal as it sets in the evening. Best fish and chips I have ever had (honestly). Also, the hula pie is an absolute must-have for dessert. It most definitely lives up to the hype! Parking is best if you go to the free parking at the shopping center just north 2 block. It's an easy walk, and you can stop at a few gift shops along the way.

Amazing views!! but decent food. I tried their highly recommended fish tacos, and.. it was okay, but not the best in my life. Also the pricing did not help; there were only two tacos for $23, which I thought was a bit too much. Chips were meh, don’t you think you need at least three tacos if the plate is priced at $23? I think you come here for the views, not the food.

Kimo's. Is. Love. Kimo's. Is. Life. Holy cow, this is my first experience dining out in Maui and my goodness gracious it was incredible. I wish I would have asked the server how to spell her name, but Raquel went above and beyond for a group and was just so kind and great at what she did. She really made us feel like we were her only table even though the place was packed. I had the vegan ravioli and I tell you what, I've never eaten so good in my life! Alongside it I got a lava flow and I truly couldn't believe how lucky I was for how delicious the meal and drinks were as well as the view that we had. Kimo's is in the cutest little town and I highly recommend going when you have the opportunity to walk around when things are really bustling. There were so many places we couldn't go because they were closed but we got lucky enough to visit a few...

Definitely should get the hula pie! I was happy with the cheeseburger and fries. The fish wasn't bad but tasted bland. Enjoyed the beachfront and even looking over the balcony, we found some nails and crabs on the rocks below which the kids loved! The staff was attentive and friendly. They have an interactive packet for the kids to color and then if they play bingo (find things around them) then they got a free Frisbee! It helped to keep them distracted and in their seats.

Nice meal. Sat at the bar. Small place ocean front. Parking is nearby. Easy walk. Need a reservation (like everywhere). Had kimos style fish. Very good. Also ordered the fish and chips. I would skip it. Fish was dark and dense. Very heavy batter. Great t-shirts. Nice quality at good price. Drinks are well made.

This restaurant is situated on the popular Front Street, right on the water. Unfortunately, we got there after sunset and weren’t able to take in the views. At the time, the live vocalist was finishing up, around 8pm. He was very talented and showed real affection for the crowd. Not sure if that was just that night or if he’s always like that, but it was quite endearing. Our server was fun and friendly. The food was fresh. Taste wise, it was ok. Not great, just good, hence the 4 stars. The vibe was the most significant part here. With the waves crashing beside us, the beautiful music, the mix of customers, and outgoing staff, it’s a great spot to visit while on vacation. Try to get there while the sun is still up!

We did not make reservations (I recommend you do), so we did have a little wait but that’s to be expected and we were fine to shop around while we waited. The ambiance in the evening was relaxing and romantic. We ate by fire light overlooking the ocean. The food was tasty, fresh, and pretty quick. The fish tacos were excellent. The waitress was friendly as well.

The food here was absolutely incredible. Pricey, but fresh and flavoured well! The fish was melt-in-your-mouth good. The hula pie was delicious. The staff was attentive and friendly to us. The view was also nice, overlooking the ocean. Would definitely go back here!

We came for happy hour. Sitting on the top floor of the restaurant is a must. The service was amazing with kind bartenders that served us. We had the oysters, lobster roll and Fleetwood Mac and cheese. The lobster roll was so good with the warm butter over it. Oysters had a nice taste with their cocktail and horseradish sauce. The mac and cheese we could have went without. It was tasteless, so tasteless that Kraft Mac and cheese would have had more flavor. Happy hour is where it’s at with this restaurant.

2-14-2022 Celebrated Valentine's Day and sat on the Rooftop to watch the whales. Happy Hour prices from 3-5pm, so our pricing was based on Happy Hour prices. Food was good and plentiful! Nice atmosphere and would recommend.

Reservation - Booked on open table. Got the roof top patio. Service - We got Travis. Travis is a rock star. So helpful and friendly. Told us we may have ordered too much food, we didn’t listen. He was right. Travis was informative about the food and we ended up getting the special. He was professional and charming all at the same time. Food - I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Every part of the food was amazing. We had 6 people who went to dinner and all 6 had nothing but great things to say. This place was recommended by friends and we will recommend it to anyone who asks

Not many places earn a 5 star. But walking up Front Street we stepped inside asked and got a surprise available lunch table on the roof top with no reservation.. Superb service , food and atmosphere . Hands down top 3 spot on Maui. Hype is real . It’s well done , well thought and the rooftop view is superb. Mick & company , well done . Plus the music 🎶 helps too!

It was great, we came on a nice day and few is awesome from the top floor, you only are able to see the ocean and don’t have to see the rest of the street and it makes it much quieter, however going through the middle floor was a little dark but I imagine that it lights up more. Going to the food it was great, started with some of the truffle fries , although the portions weren’t the biggest but it made up for in flavor and the sauce was very good. I had the lobster tacos and even though the portion wasn’t the biggest I was still filled quickly, the flavors were fresh and tasteful. If you want a good amount of food for your money I would recommend the burgers as well. Overall 5/5

What an amazing experience! We sat on the rooftop as the sun set and enjoyed amazing views of whales and boats as the sun set. The service was perfect and attentive, the food was delicious with generous portions and the drinks were perfect. It was the perfect place to end our Maui trip!

This was the best dining experience that we’ve had so far in Maui. The Beef Wellington surf and turf was OUTSTANDING! The service was amazing. So friendly. Travis, our waiter, was incredible. He was very kind and gave us amazing recommendations for both food and drink. Great vibes. 10/10.

Had dinner on the roof top, terrific atmosphere, location, and live music were all excellent. Service was both friendly and informative. Food was good, but for the price I think it should have not just been good, but excellent. Both food and cocktails are on the pricey side.

Choices were difficult to make as everything sounded so amazing! I ended up going with the burger as it gave me more options for adding extra sides. Everything was amazing, I sincerely was having trouble deciding which bite to choose next as all the flavors were delicious. Our waitress Michelle, was great and fun and fit our personalities. The view on the roof is fun and we unfortunately missed the opportunity to watch Mick Fleetwood actually play the day after our reservation! Oh, one more important think…. Book your reservation as soon as possible, they allow reservations one month ahead.

Good place to bring a group. Food was nice, maybe a tad bit priced up but not surprising in such a touristy area. Service was good. Was craving burgers and this definitely did the trick! Decor in the outdoor seating area where we were could use some updating or jazzing up to go with the retro theme. It would help differentiate the restaurant from the rest of the shopping area. Overall nice experience. Good location if you want some variety of shopping, sweet treats, sights and sounds, all perfect things to take in while waiting for the table in the restaurant.

Great little place to eat while in Lahaina. We had the burger of the month which was awesome. Blue cheese and garlic burger. The fish tacos were good, nothing special. The fries were average. Onion rings were really good. We had no wait, at 11:30am which was really nice. Worth a try. Reasonable prices too.

I was pretty impressed with the taste of the burger- I ordered one with pineapple. They have huge space and still pretty well occupied. Rather delicate balance of ingredients. It meets the reputation. Also tasted milk shake which was pretty awesome. Fast and friendly service as well. Definitely an above the pack restaurant in terms of burgers.

Good food overall. Burgers were cooked perfectly and serving sizes were pretty big. I was a little bummed that your burger order does NOT include French fries or anything other than just that. I could understand an upgrade charge for onion rings or set potato fries or something like that but I just feel your order should absolutely include fries. Our server was attentive and polite and we were able to catch the last few minutes of happy hour which who doesn't enjoy that. We were able to be seated immediately and the place was very busy, no call ahead just walked in. Atmosphere was cool, I always enjoy elevated balconies to see the street and commotion down below. Would eat here again.

Thank You for letting me do the Cool Cat 808 Challenge. A lot of places with food challenges tend to make up excuses as to why I can't do the food challenge at that time(because I fit the profile of someone likely to succeed) so they say for example they are out of the ingredients or the kitchen is too backed up(even if I come in on a Tuesday afternoon when its dead), but this place let me do it without any hesitation. I signed the waiver and I was on my way. The burger in the challenge was REALLY good to the point where I came back a few days later just to actually eat a burger that was not a part of the challenge and enjoy it. The challenge itself was enjoyable instead of miserable yet I still felt accomplished after defeating it.

They say it's the best burger on Maui since 2004. And I believe that 100% this was a big tasty burger, it came out hot. The basket of fries nice and hot. Alot of fries plenty to share. The bartender Paul was on point friendly and great at making us feel welcome. It's a little hard to find but man it's good. Atmosphere excellent. So if you want a good burger in Lahiana, do check it out you will not be disappointed.

Nice staff. Food was pretty good. The Ricki Ricardo salad was a bit rough/tough lettuce but had a good amount of chicken. . The Duke burger a 9 out of 10. Fish tacos had a good size piece of fish. Atmosphere is nice. Open space with TVs

The atmosphere is great, specially the live music. The food is good, the duke is great for meat and bbq lovers. My favorite was the luna burger was really good with some sweet potato fries and onion rings. There’s a variety of burgers sandwiches, and cocktail drinks. During dinner there’s a long wait for a table and to be served.

Great view of the water and a nice spot to grab a bite to eat during a long day of shopping in Front Street. Most of the restaurants in the area have similar menus; so you’ll find fish, chicken, burgers and various types of appetizers. We tried the Island Style Burger which had avocado, pineapple and teriyaki glaze. It wasn’t bad, the fries were good. The view here of the water is amazing, so it’s worth coming here just for that.

You cannot beat the location, right on the water. We had the nicest server we've ever met, Eric. Food was good. Good burgers, fries, etc. Our 10yo had corn dogs and they were state fair quality corn dogs. No draft beer, but presented creatively anyway from a can.

The mango raspberry smoothie mixed with ice cream was amazingly delicious! The coconut shrimp was very good, I gobbled that up! Cheeseburgers were okay. The view is amazing, right on the ocean with the breeze flowing through the windows. The waitress was awesome! Great service. The food came out very fast as well.

The burger was delicious and they had local beers (of course). It took the waitress a little time to acknowledge us and we had to flag her down to order, but it was a little busy, so I’ll leave it at 4 stars and hope it was a one time thing. Had early dinner here and was able to see the sunset which was amazing. The location is bay front in the main shopping and art gallery strip which is Front Street. The food was nothing out of the ordinary but had good portions and tasted okay. We had burger and the nachos to eat and had some cocktails. We were seated quite quickly but they also seemed to be in a rush to get us out. The staff were friendly enough. The interior decor was also interesting with all the plate numbers.

Went for a late lunch early dinner and it was perfect timing. This was my husband's and my 2nd time here, we brought the kids with us this time. Our server Monica was super friendly and had great suggestions for drinks and dinner. Perfect scenery with the ocean right there. Food came out quickly and everything tasted great!!

Our experience here today was really nice our waitress was very kind and did an excellent job making sure our drinks were always full, our food was delicious while we were eating and also made sure we had everything we needed Top Notch Service!! Overall a excellent visit I would definitely recommend their signature burger or even the BBQ burger it was excellent cooked perfect and the season fries delicious! Thank you for making our visit memorable!!

Our first meal in Lahaina and it was great. Location is beautiful overlooking the ocean with a cool brew. The interior was wonderfully quirky with all the registration Plates everywhere. Service was good and friendly. Like most of Maui it’s on the pricey side!

We were looking for a down-to-earth very average restaurant / burger place. Cheeseburger in paradise did not disappoint with a very bar like atmosphere and exceptional view that I don't think any restaurant in Maui would trump. Our server was great and over achieved in my opinion. The food was also great. If you're looking for a quick bite that's above average, this is definitely your place. We noticed the line was always out the door and I understood why. If you're in Maui and walking on front Street, definitely stop in here. I'll share a couple pictures of the atmosphere and the food will definitely be back

My husband and I celebrated his birthday here last night and it was exquisite! What a wonderful ambiance and such beautiful artwork throughout the whole restaurant. Our server Buddy was spot on with her recommendations! The food was outstanding, the plating was stunning and thoughtful. The food flavor combinations were delicious and the drinks /wine was amazing! Thank you so much Jurg for the restaurant tour and the great conversation! It’s rare to meet an owner who is thoughtful and present. I saw how much he cared about every guest’s experience by touching every single table! They are very passionate about utilizing the best fresh and local ingredients and it shows in their dishes. We loved the food so much we wanted to say thanks to the chefs with a round of beers. My husband and I plan to come back and we will always visit this fabulous restaurant in Maui! Thank you again Lahaina Grill!!!

Rated best restaurant in America in 2022 and now we know why. No question, this was the best fish I've ever had. Incredible. I ordered the fish special for the day and was so happy I did. Great service as expected from a 5 star restaurant. Really cool old building but no view. That's the only downside. Great drinks and dessert too. Highly recommended for a date night but be sure to get reservations.

Best meal of the trip. We had Katie as our server along with Ron as her assistant and the service was great. My wife had the vegetarian meal and I had the bone in ribeye plus the deviled eggs with caviar. Both were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend going here. We had to make reservations several weeks in advance to get in here. Well worth it.

Lovely vibe, incredible food, and great service! A lot of options are gluten free. I got the seared lion paw scallops, and they were some of the best scallops I’ve ever had! So soft and creamy with a delicious sauce. The truffle oil really made the dish! Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive, and the bartenders had a great time on Halloween.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is the best food I’ve ever had. The chef definitely has some fine culinary expertise. The flavors are out of this world. We had crab salad for an appetizer, mahi mahi and ahi for entrees. We also had some dessert and drinks. Everything was delicious. Our server, Buddy was very friendly, funny, and took care of us well. She gave us a Hawaiian blessing for our honeymoon. The owner also stopped to chat with us and even gave us a signed painting/picture. The service exceeded my expectations and I already can’t wait to come back again.

The place is amazingly well ran, the team work is outstanding and omg the food!! I went all in for the surf & turf, oh my I don’t regret my choice! I had an amazing berry pie offered to me! THE BEST PLACE IN MAUI (so far)! The only thing missing is a view on the sunset, but I know that’s a hard ask 😇

Maui’s high end restaurants are expensive, well Maui is expensive, but they are very good. I would rank Lahaina grill as one of the best of the lot. Service is incredible, our server in our last visit was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. Food all came out for our party of 6 at the same time. Cocktails were original and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their selection . I’m getting Hungry writing this!

Honestly, best service we have had in a very long time. Thank you Lisa and Eric for being so attentive. The little special touches go a long way in our book. The food matched the service and was spectacular. We were celebrating our anniversary and they took a picture of us, gave us a card, and a desert. My husband is Gluten Free and they paid very special attention to his dietary restrictions. They made sure he could still try the seafood special of the day and dessert. Even the doggy bag hanger was a nice touch.

An absolute must-visit fine dining restaurant. If you are in Maui, you must dine here. The atmosphere is inviting and intimate. The staff is knowledgeable of the entire menu and very polite. Their wine list is second to none. They have their own sommelier who procures vino from around the world, so you have a tremendous amount of bottled options ranging from $60 per bottle to over $10K. They have many gluten-free options or can make some options gluten-free with a chefs tweak here or there. The bowl of fish chowder was to die for and is a must-try. Lastly, the owner will stop by and introduce himself and chat with you. He provides the highest level of concierge service, which, besides the amazing food and atmosphere, is why this place consistently ranks among the very, very best in the world and deserves the reputation it has most assuredly earned.
