I'm glad we made it to the beach. It was a gorgeous day. Perfect weather. Ocean was alive and fun. We even found a parking space closest to the beach. We spent a few hours enjoying the sound of the ocean, hearing the birds, seeing the birds sunbathe, watching surfing, watching children playing in the sand and building sand castles. It sure has been a long time probably around 25 years ago since I have been to La Jolla Cove and I had forgotten the view the grand view of the ocean as you are driving down into it. Hopefully, I will not take another 25 years to return to this location. However, there were signs that bathrooms were closed. What the heck. That was a huge inconvenience so make sure you do a pit stop before coming to the beach.

Beautiful park right on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. It has a great beach with lifeguards in the warmer months, a hike/bike path along the shore and a fishing pier within walking distance. Places to picnic, restrooms and parking are also present. Surfers were catching the waves when we were there. Have fun!

Stopped here on the way back to the airport after a very brief work trip, just long enough to catch an early March sunset. Parking was free and easy; very chill and pleasant vibe. Highly recommend.

We stop here every time we are in San Diego! Sunrise to sunset I love this place! Great area to walk and enjoy the beach. Clean. Always busy. Always wonderful. Watching the surfers an added bonus. Seems to be a popular location.

This park is an open grassy space and rather ordinary, with picnic tables scattered about its perimeter. There's one restroom building on the south end of the park and each restroom has its own lockable door. There are fresh water showers there too. The best thing about this park is its proximity to the volleyball courts in the sand and the ocean just beyond. The parking lot south of La Jolla Shores Park is pretty good sized, but expect it to be full in the summer and street parking will be difficult (during the summer). Just south of the park is a large parking lot, and south of that is Kellogg Park (which I like better).

Beautiful spot to kayak. Caves nearby to explore on low tide. Lots of friendly helpful surfers. Julian, thanks for helping us launch over the waves!

A must see. You can see this beach from Birch Aquarium and the view is amazing. The surf is great too. Great place to swim!

Such a pretty area and a really nice beach and park. We went on a day of a surfing competition so it was pretty busy. Really nice beach to go check out!

La Jolla Shores is one of the best beaches in San Diego (arguably the best). There is about a mile of sandy beach with good waves for playing or surfing. The southern end is also a good place to snorkel: guitar fish, regular fish, lobsters, crabs, leopard sharks (depending on season), and sting rays. Remember to sting ray shuffle!

An impossibly stunning memorial to our great veterans! A wonderful gentleman works there, Chris Kramer, and he showed us around, told us so many facts about the memorial and land and really made our day with his wonderful personality & support. The 360 views are also exquisite. It was no cost to visit or park. We went on a Wednesday after lunch and only a few others were there. There are about 20 parking spots near the monument however there is an entire parking lot in a parking pull off area just before the last 100 feet before you get to the summit of the memorial for 50+ more cars. That pull off area before summit is also a vista point to see beautiful views of surrounding scenery. Be sure to visit, you’ll love it!

A great spot to get expansive views of San Diego especially in the night. There's a bunch of spots to sit and view the lights. It can be a bit foggy at times as well due to the elevation. I was lucky to spot some rabbits this time around. Must see spot in San Diego!

07.26.23 Thankful for the opportunity to see this beautiful memorial for our veterans. It's privately owned but it's free to the public. I couldn't tell if there was any order to how the memorial plaques were arranged but one thing that stood out for me was how the family members made their veterans' memories special by adding a little bit of personal information on the plaques.

Beautiful place for tourists with a 360 view of San Diego. A place of honor and respect for the veterans. Please be mindful of the value this place has for the heroes of USA, this is a privately owned property. Showing our respect and being grateful is the least visitors can do to thank the owner for allowing public accessibility. Free entry+parking (2 different areas to park). Sunrise to sunset.

This is a beautiful park above La Jolla and PB with 360 degree views of San Diego and the Ocean. The cross is now fenced off and they’ve made it into a Veteran’s Memorial. Parking is hard to find on busy days. Stunning views!

Such a beautiful, remarkable place!! The story behind the cross is amazing and thank you to those who worked so hard to keep it on the mountain! It truly is the most beautiful part of San Diego! My son just recently married there and it was beautiful!! God bless those who serve and those who donate to the memorial. ,❤️

Beautiful mountain top memorial in San Diego! Breath taking view of the city from up here and the vibe is just peaceful. Extremely easy to get to by car from the main highway and it’s worth the 20-30 minutes you’ll spend here. A great dedication to the men and women who served our country.

Love the place, amazing view, a great place to take pictures, sit down in peace, and very great infrastructure. I went up there on my bike, it was a 3 mile trip going up, it was worth the trip. If you’re a cyclist, you might want to start on Soledad Mountain RD near Garnet Ave, and you keep climbing straight until you reach La Jolla Scenic, you follow that road and will take you. Doing that trip wasn’t easy cause it was 6-8% gradient but once I got up there, the view made it all worth it. I highly recommend anyone to go there and watch the view

I've been in La Jolla once before and can't believe I missed visiting this location the first time. It was a bit of an effort to navigate the roads and turn in here, but very cool place to visit. The views were amazing and enjoyed reading some of the memorials.

Incredible place to look at La Jolla from above. Not too busy, gorgeous views and plenty of parking. Makes a lovely picnic spot. So many stories and veteran’s pictures decorate the monument, it felt very touching and special! Must go if you’re in the area, easy drive.

Cliff with a great view. Good spot if you like hiking or running up. Perfect sunset spot. The whole city is visible from the top. You also get to know about the history of the place.

It was very clean and well-maintained but really there wasn't a ton to see. Several of the displays are just video but there are around 50 different tanks plus there's an area outside that mimics a tide pool with live creatures in it. See my pictures for a good sampling of the available tanks. The giant kelp, the sea horse and the jellyfish tanks were the most impressive. Overall if you're in the area it's a 2 hour stop. Personally would have been happier if they had a stingray or manta ray petting area. Just know there are better aquariums in the area.

Reviewing after my second time here. It's a small aquarium, but there are a lot of exhibits and displays. I recommend going at opening to avoid the larger crowds. I would plan to spend about 2 hours to explore the aquarium. There's daily penguin feeding at 10:00 and then fish feeding and diver interaction in the large tank at 10:30. There's staff all around the aquarium to answer questions. The touching exhibits are always fun. I have a membership, which I think is worth it since I plan to come several more times, especially when I can get first look at special events.

Had a lovely time here! Spent about 1.5 hours walking around which was fun but maybe not worth $25. I enjoyed seeing the sea animals and different creatures that live right off of our coast. Also wish you didn’t have to keep your mask in while outside. It was a beautiful day and breathing that fresh ocean air would be good for health especially the area right by the tide pools where you can touch some creatures.

This is a wonderful place to visit and experience the sea life on a lower scale. Perfect for little ones. Price is reasonable. 4 star, for their shark exhibit was a huge disappointment. Penguins made the visit worth it. Good selection of food and drinks can be bought outside the entry gates. We had to buy tickets on line and choose our entry time. Once in you are in, you can stay as long as you like, though you won't need to.

Very cute and interactive area for kids to enjoy. My 20month old loved the aquarium - way better than any zoo- simply because the fish are all there in action.. instead of some little spot who knows where looking like a monkey.. over all love this place. Parking was a bit tight..

we had previously purchased our tickets online which was a good idea because there was a line to buy tickets we noticed when we arrived. we visited on a somewhat sprinkling and rainy day so there wasn't too much action going on in the outside tanks and displays and most people were walking through the displays and exhibits inside. fyi, this aquarium is extremely small but drink worth the visit as you can easily kill an hour or two looking around. we were able to touch and see some small animals when outside but because of the weather they had to pack up shortly after. i enjoyed the shark tank and we were lucky to have made it on time for when they feed them so that was interesting to watch.

This is a fun place to spend time with the family. The aquarium has a wide variety of well maintained exhibits. The tide pools on the outside allow you to interact with local sea creatures. The view from the outside is breath taking as you can see the ocean. You have to reserve your tickets, so be sure to purchase them beforehand.

I have fond memories of this place as a kid. My sister was a docent at the petting tide pool while she was in college. The sea cucumbers are my favorite. They have the jelly tumbler and an awesome seahorse tank. Lots of fun stuff to look at. My kiddo had a great time at this most recent visit and there was something for the whole family (the penguins are California burrito sized). It's small but really gorgeous location.

Neat spot to bring the kiddos and check out aquatic critters. Parking is free, but getting a spot can be a challenge depending on when you arrive. The facility is cozy (relatively smallish) and depending on your pace through the exhibits, the visit can be roughly 1-3 hours. I appreciate that you can set a reservation time for entering the aquarium, which helps prevent overcrowding. There was a good amount of sea life on display from native fish to seahorses, sharks, and penguins. Mini-me particularly enjoyed the hands-on tide pool area. I thought having a Pacific Cleaner Shrimp nibble on my hand was neat. Check online to see other offerings or special events at Birch Aquarium. It’s a nice diversion for the little ones and a good place for any aspiring marine biologists to visit.

A great experience! Went there with a school field trip and the teenage kids loved it and were not bored. Beautiful views outside and lots of areas to interact with like tide pools and photo opt areas. Gift shop was so cute! Even the bathrooms were clean and well stocked. All the staff I talked to throughout the aquarium was very friendly and helpful. The cafe food was so delicious! Would definitely visit this aquarium again.

Birch Aquarium is a fun experience overall. There are a great assortment of marine wildlife here, and all of them look like they are extremely well taken care of in overall gorgeous exhibits and enclosures. The large kelp forest enclosures, the shark feeding tank, and the relatively new little blue penguin exhibit our major highlights. Sidenote, the gift shop is phenomenal and has an amazing variety of great gifts, with most of them being fairly reasonable in price. The employees were all wonderful as well. On that note of price however, I cannot stress enough that the aquarium charge is far too much for what is offered here. Even with the great variety of wildlife here, this aquarium is fairly small and if it weren’t for the discount coupon I had, I would only have been willing to pay about half of what is currently being charged for admission right now. It didn’t help matters either that there were several prominent animals that were currently off display, with no notices as to what their status was or where they had been relocated to; not being able to see the sea turtle was a bummer, to say the least. There is also a reservation system in place, which seems to have mixed results in efficiency. The aquarium is frequently way below capacity and still requires reservations to be placed for several hours later. This could be adjusted to be more effective while still maintaining optimal crowd levels. Overall, this is a fun aquarium with some great exhibit and things to see, and his child friendly as well. However, unless you end up getting some kind of discount or Groupon, the cost is not worth what you get.

Such an interesting place to learn a lot about aquatic life! They have species from deep sea, a variety of corals, and a great way of showing off the animals, jellyfish exhibit was my favorite but there’s so much to see, i hope this aquarium gets bigger in the future. Definitely coming back

It's a beautiful beach with lots of sea shells and my kids loved it except for the part where it's a nudes beach. I don't recommend going there with kids, but it's a really nice place. The climb down is nice and easy, it's a long way down though. There is basically a staircase leading down, it's not the most ideal but I mean what could go wrong right? Ya... The way up is tough, it's long and the stairs are tall but it has a great view from the top(except for the naked ppl).

Did not glide today as there was a 130 lb weight limit due to weak winds (next time we will call first). Extremely affordable gift shop! That was impressive! Friendly, knowledgeable staff. There is food but burgers and dogs. So fun just to watch!

I’ve been coming here since I was a wee thing. Literally my father brought be here when I was about 3 and back in those days, he’d leave me on the cliff while he flew his hang glider. The other pilots kept an eye on me, sort of. 😉 It’s changed a lot since the 70’s and it’s worth a visit. Ocean, cliffs, gliders … what’s not to love. Now it appears there are opportunities to have tandem paragliding flights. I would have 100% done this if I’d had the time! Even if you don’t plan to fly or hike, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the view and action.

A spectacular sight as we watched them glide down the cliffs. There was plenty of parking space when we arrived close to noon. Next to it is a hike down to Black Beach which can be a challenge to some but it's worth the exercise as we relaxed by the beach.

As name suggest people here come to do gliding. Rates are for one time gliding 175$ and 130$. Video and photo are charged extra. But if you want to learn from academy then it’s different.people bring there own equipment’s and fly. It’s amazing to see them doing

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Torrey Pines in San Diego and it was an experience that I will never forget! The views from the top of the cliff were absolutely breathtaking and the trails were well-maintained and easy to navigate. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the park was kept clean and free of litter. I highly recommend this park for anyone looking for a great place to explore and enjoy nature. 4 stars!

The Gliderport never disappoints. One of these days I'll sign up for a tandem flight. However, in the meantime, we visit several times a year and enjoy lunch and the view. The seating and food preparation areas have improved, allowing a leisurely lunch while watching paragliders take flight and land. An outdoor pizza oven was added, but couldn't tell if it was in operation the afternoon we were there. Highly recommend this place for local and out-of-towners. It used to be that you could bring your own sack lunch and sit and it, but they now have signs indicating no outside food may be brought into the seating area. We share a burger and fries. Ordered another plate of fries as they were so good.

Went here for Total Raptor experience, be sure to book ahead of time it's AMAZING and one of the few ways outside of being a registered pilot to enter the field. Be aware of the rules ie don't walk on the grass area--just DON'T! It's for your safety and frankly your terrible cell phone photo ain't worth getting hurt or worse hurting one of the pilots who is trying to avoid hitting you (I saw so SO many people thinking they could sneak out to grab a selfie 🙄) you'll get a stern warning trust me they don't mess around, be aware of the signs/areas, the risks and wear extra sunscreen. There's a small shop that sells sandwiches, refreshments but bathrooms are porta potties in the parking lot. I recommend parking farther away and walking or ubering over as the lot fills quickly on nice days. Such a great venue to enjoy the ocean, the paragliders and the amazing views (and hang with some winged friends for an afternoon!)

This was an amazing experience! This is a must see if you are visiting South California. The gliders lift off and land in an area very near the observation area. In addition, there is an overlook area where the gliders zip past the edge of the cliffs with the ocean in the background. Truly an experience we will cherish.

The pool was closed when we were there because the seals we're sunning themselves on the beach. I love how they closed it for the wild life rather than the other way around. The view from this area will take your breath away. Parking sucks for the most part but if you drive a few blocks away and walk in its totally worth it. Seagulls are a bit nosey and looking for treats but they are entertaining too.

This is a great spot to watch the wildlife (and the people watching the wildlife). During March and April, the only children using this pool are the California seal pups. There are also a few stray sea lions from around the corner, pelicans and the ubiquitous sea gulls plus ground squirrels.

Everybody knows the Cove, THE Cove at La Jolla, was a crowded place you can seldom find a parking slot. I visited the Cove several times, once with my family, once with my parents, once with my family and MIL, and also once with my daughter she had a room at the Cove and stayed there for several days for her UCSD final examination. That time, I mean I sent my daughter there to the hotel, and we were the only two people who wore the masks at the beach, it was weird, but we do scare off the pandemic. Guess what, I got a parking spot recently, just in front of the restaurant called Ocean Terrace at George's at the Cove, just in front of it. I went there with my daughter at my girlfriend's friend's invitation. We walked up the stairs and sat at the top of the ceiling and I don't know what was underneath. On the rooftop, the weather was so good even in November. Little windy but still warm under the sunshine, we did some chat and enjoy the food. It's a casual and relaxed weekend morning at the restaurant, or maybe not the weekend but it gave me the feeling of a weekend. We just hung out there, ate food, and did chatting. The food was good, we had mussels, tacos, and hamburgers. I asked the waiter to cut the hamburger into two pieces and eventually, I got two plates with full fries, full onion, and tomato with a half burger, that's so good service. The patties I wanted medium, it was just the point of the raw medium with a little blood, I love it. I have to say it's good, especially at the Cove, a tourist point that can provide so good food at a normal price, Good!

Had dinner on the roof top restaurant ! Amazing view of the LaJolla cove! Watched the seals and sea lions during dinner ! Our entire family rates the restaurant a 10 ! The food was delicious ! We all had the flat iron steak, rigatoni pasta, lava cake dessert and espresso martini! All were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The outdoor heaters were perfect for the cool night. Definitely the best dinner of our trip ! Can’t wait to come back again !

I’m so so disappointed by this experience. We came here 5 year old and we loved here. And I saw George’s at the Cove joins restaurant week, so we come here with our friends for this special experience. But they don’t take Restaurant Week serious at all, the service is super slow and unprofessional. The foods are so so, they are not bad, but definitely not the level as I remembered at this restaurant. My friends fish taco is very dry, I think the street fish tacos probably taste better. And the most thing disappointed us are the cocktails, they are not cheap, all like $15,$16, but we double they put any alcohol in it?! I mean, maybe because it’s during the restaurant week, so they lower their quality? But they just lost me and my friends from their future clients list. Plus their bath is very dirty.

Impressed. We had reservations at the rooftop terrace for 4:30 today. We received a phone call from the restaurant at 1:00pm, notifying us that the rooftop would be weather permitting, and they offered us a table downstairs. Such a thoughtful and appreciated phone call! When we arrived, the rain had not started yet, and we were able to sit outside- husband, wife, 2 & 4yo. Incredible view. The kids crushed their salmon and broccoli- a refreshing meal after several days in Disneyland. Adults had the swordfish, steak, & side of fries for the table. Drinks: Margherita and old fashions. Finished with a cappuccino and a brownie/coconut ice cream as dessert for the table. All were phenomenal, flavorful, well prepared, & perfect serving temps. We are foodies, and this was all superb. To top it off, Hank our server, was a complete joy to have as our company. Kind, humorous, attentive, & thoughtful. He was knowledgeable about the menu, & ensured ideal food arrival times for a family with young children (kids meal out first). He was so refreshing, and unlike many, has mastered the art of conversation. Thank you, Hank, for helping us have such a relaxed, wonderful vacation evening!

Great place to eat lunch, we visited last week and loved it. We ordered the cucumber salad, crispy shrimp, tuna sandwich and fish tacos. My favorite dish was definitely the shrimp, accompanied by sweet yellow chili peppers that complement the dish spectacularly and a tartar sauce that highlights the flavor of the shrimp very well. The dishes are generous in size, so we ended up satisfied before finishing all the dishes. This restaurant definitely has the best view you can find in the La Jolla area. I recommend accompanying the dishes with an ice cold beer to further enrich the experience. The kindness of the waiters will make us come back again.

Stunning roof top views! If you want to be out of the potential sun opt for the 2nd floor. But the views up top are awesome! Good is delicious. Burger is huge! Mussels are fabulous (ask for 3xtra bread. You'll thank me!) Thumbs up if these pics ir review have helped. Ty.

I booked the premium ocean terrace seating for $300. $50 to hold the table and the other $250 to use towards our bill. Celebrating my husbands birthday and wanted to do something nice. We got to the restaurant, checked in and had 20 minutes until our reservation. Got a drink at the bar and realized… we could have just damn well sat open seating at the bar and not paid $300! I WAS SO UPSET. You had a view of the ocean from any table. Everyone was dressed casual and in beach wear. The food was okay and not worth the hype of fine dining cuisine. My steak ordered was medium rare and came out medium to medium well. All around, if I came back, I’m gonna sit at the bar. Don’t spend the money on the premium seating. First picture is table. Second is bar.

We were recommend to go to George’s at the Cove by two people in Texas when they heard we were visiting so we made our reservations a month in advance online. We did need to make a change, when we called the person helping us was very helpful and had more options available for us to choose from. The food was superb. Our favorite was the smashed cucumber salad followed by the seared rare local yellowtail. There is a lift on site for those that have mobility issues. If you can get a spot on the edge of the terrace we highly recommend it but the whole terrace is lovely. There are heaters.

Went for breakfast and the wait was for about an hour, but it was because it was raining and people wanted in doors. We asked if we could be sat on the front patio, they dried off a table and we were sat in 2 minutes. There are a lot of umbrellas covering the patio. We ordered watermelon and orange juice. They are freshly squeezed and very refreshing. Braised beef hash and the Cottage Sandwich. But the best one was the braised beef hash for sure! It had so much flavor!!!

Incredible brunch in La Jolla. Recommend finding free street parking by the nearby school and enjoying brunch then a nice stroll along the beach trail. Drinks and food were tasty, recommend sharing a few dishes. We enjoyed the eggs Benedict with the Mexican touch and also the stuffed French toast with fruit added. You will have to wait a while so put your name on the list then enjoy a nice walk.

he braised beef hash was really good, but it could have used more beef. The scone and jam it came with was amazing though, as another review mentions. The stuffed french toast was good but not amazing. I still remember coming here a few years ago also for my birthday weekend. They had an event where if you sing the national anthem you would get a free dessert. I think we were the only table that did it, and the manager liked it so much he comped our meal. I wish they would have that kind of fun thing again.

The best breakfast you can find in La Jolla! All the items on the menu are delicious and you will like it! Make sure to try their Benedicts, wild mushroom omelette, and French toast! The best French toast I have ever had. Their Mexican hot chocolate is great! Not too sweet! If you are with a large party make sure to get there early, otherwise you may end up waiting for more than an hour. The service is great and they have a friendly team!

Well worth the wait! The french toast and crab melt were amazing. Service and hospitality were equally on par! During our wait we went for a stroll around the town and visited local shops which helped the time pass quickly!

Believe the hype because The Cottage is everything you've heard it is - INCREDIBLE! We stopped here after kayaking during the week for a late brunch and were in such a rush to get there before they closed (our kayak tour took an hour longer than expected) because we had been looking forward to eating here all week! We apologized as we walked in knowing we were within 30 minutes of them closing, but the waitress that assisted us was so gracious, never once making us feel rushed. We started with the pretzel, having no idea it was a GIANT pretzel lol, but thankfully we were hungry from the calories we had just burned so we munched on the warm and yummy dough while we waited for our entrees. I ordered the Chilaquiles and my Husband ordered the Roasted Vegetable Omelet scrambled. Holy cow! Our dishes were incredible, even with coming towards closing time, the food was fresh, crisp and so tasty! We will absolutely come back as we were beyond impressed by the food and the service!

The stuffed french toast was EXCELLENT, easily the best french toast I ever had. I sat inside which was a nice break from the sun but the seating outside is preferred. I also got the pork belly Benedict which in mg opinion wasn't good, I would give that meal a 1 star out of 5. I would come back for the French toast alone.

Beautiful ocean view, fantastic food, and wonderful service. What stood out most is how they deal with special occasions. We went here for my first birthday living in San Diego - everyone wished me a happy birthday and they decorated the table with a card and confetti. We got a mini bananas foster to celebrate as well. Those little touches helped make my day really special. Definitely a great meal either way, but I would absolutely come back to celebrate a special occasion again

The service is awesome. The food is fair to good but I was extremely disappointed that the lobster mashed potatoes are made with powered potatoes instead of fresh. For almost thirty dollars... they should be the best potatoes I've ever had with no expense spared. There was plenty of lobster in them. 2 members of the managerial staff confirmed our satisfaction. They are amazing and that along with the views are the reason I'd return. The dessert is really good as well.

Eddie Vs provided the best meal I have ever had. Oysters were very fresh, Steak was perfectly cooked, Scallops were delicious, the Truffle Mac and Cheese complimented everything well. We ate at the upstairs bar overlooking the ocean. After dinner when going over our meal I couldn’t find a single thing that could have been improved with the food. I was very impressed. I suggest you give this place a try.

We decided last minute to do a Sunday Night Staycation in La Jolla. We were waking around just trying out new spots when I saw Eddie V's had happy hour. We arrived at about 430pm, and we didn't have reservations . The hostess told us she couldn't get us in until 815pm, so we decided to try our hand at scoring a bar seat. The hostess suggested upstairs as it was less busy. We walked up, and it looked as if two couples were ordering dessert, so we stood there trying to order a drink to wait. The bartender wouldn't even look at us. I finally stood back by the piano since the indoor tables were not being used, and I wanted to stay out of the way of the servers. Finally, a manager came to save the day. He offered to get us a drink while we waited and even offered a seat until we got one at the bar. That service definitely saved his review. Before our beer was gone, we got seats at the bar. We ordered every happy hour item.... Eddie's Rockefeller, Filet Sliders, Lobster Tempura, Lollipop Lamb, Steak Tartare, and Steak Tataki. The lamb was our favorite. Melt in the mouth tender! Eddie's Rockefeller is probably next on the list of favorites. Great flavor and texture. You can never go wrong with lobster.. it was breaded but didn't lose its tenderness. All the beef items were also tender and delicious. Great experience. I also highly recommend the Chavo Malo! We both loved the flavor.

Eddie V’s -La Jolla is a beautiful white-cloth service with unbeatable views and quality food. Service was impeccable and our server (don't remember name) as he was so friendly yet also relaxed but attentive. A friendly, welcoming an warm ambiance. We appreciate the attention to the service and commend Eddie V's for standing apart from others. The seafood, calamari and steak is fresh, the flavors are remarkable, every item cooked to perfection, which is something others lack in. Drinks and complimentary bread & butter were flavorful as well. Highly recommend!

The view! The friendly, conversant and attentive servers! (Thank you Britnee) We especially enjoyed the lump crab cake and the Chilean sea bass. The pace of the dish arrivals was perfect to enjoy the view transform from afternoon to sunset to evening. So many around us were celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. It’s definitely a special place for a special meal.

Amazing food,delicious drinks and I really enjoyed my birthday dessert. The ambiance was nice we got seated by a window, it was night time but you are able to see the ocean,I'm sure it is beautiful in the day time too. Ladies if you like sweet alcoholic beverages then try The Hope Diamond,my husband had an Old Fashioned which he loves and they made it in front of him which was cool. So for appetizers we had fish and oysters then for our dinner I had Chilean Sea Bass and hubby had a huge Ribeye Steak which was well seasoned, if you are on a date and your not a big eater the sides are good enough for 2 people. We ordered Lobster Mashed Potatoes,Asparagus and Crab Fried Rice perfect portions. For dessert since it was my birthday they brought out something yummy,it was a first time great experience I would definitely go back.

Overall decent experience. I would say it was Amazing but I did have hair in my food so that pretty much knocks this down from 5 stars to 3. I was so excited to eat my jumbo shrimp but unexpectedly found hair under the crab meat which made me gag. I was satisfied with the way the server and chef responded by giving me a different dish but it was disappointing. Other than that great food, attentive server, beautiful view of the water and amazing desert! Oh and the crab cake was 🙌🏾 So good 😊

Went here recently on a whim and the views and food were to die for! Delicious steaks, roasted brussel sprouts, sashimi, and creme brûlée. Very nice place for a date. Parking can be a challenge but there are parking structures nearby. You always might get lucky with street parking. Good old fashioned I ended up getting two.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego! If can sit on the upstairs patio, the views take your breath away (if you’re lucky you’ll see dolphins too :) Service is top notch from valet staff, manager, bartenders, and servers. Food is always beautiful and tasty.

I stopped by after a beautiful stroll around the area. It's a pretty good-sized restaurant and happy they were able to accommodate 8 of us with no reservations. Our server was nice, but I forgot his name. Food: French Toast Side Bacon Grits The grits were okay; the bacon was yummy and went well with the French Toast. I would return again.

Amazing food. It's a little bit pricey compared to other bruch places but totally worth it. My husband tried crab Benedict, and he loved it! I ordered the lobster roll and it was so good! However, we had way better French toast. Staff are super friendly too. The atmosphere, vibe, and view are on a different level! Overall, i would give this place 10/10! It was our first time, but we're definitely going back.

My wife wanted to try this place so we went here for Brunch. It was kind of hard to find right off the street but we spotted a sign in front of some stairs so we went up. The waiting area was outside and it was cute but a little chilly. We got our names on the list and waited about 20 minutes. When we were seated they sat us in an area with no heaters and we noticed that everyone else had one so we asked for one and they moved it properly.. no big deal We wondered the crab cake Benedict and the chicken biscuit sandy with a said of breakfast sausage. The crab cake Benedict was fresh but lacked flavor so I asked for salt.. and I waited and waited and eventually had to ask another server for salt and they brought me a small bowl of sea salt.. I guess they don’t have table condiments.. the breakfast sausage was an Italian sausage sliced long ways. And the chicken biscuit San day was pretty good. My wife liked it but I thought it was just okay. Overall good but not great, nothing impressive and I wouldn’t come back honestly.. Here’s the crazy part.. it started raining! This restaurant is half in door and half our door. Thankfully we were done eating when it started raining but the servers stood inside and served the people inside when it started raining.. they made no attempt to come outside.. I watched a man and his family get up with their food and walk inside with their plates in hand looking for their server.. they were very upset and I was upset for them.. they were sat inside but no apology no acknowledgement that their food was not good due to having rainwater on it.. Wouldn’t waste my time if I were you..

Exceptional spot for brunch and breathtaking views near the water in La Jolla. Don’t miss the visually pleasing craft cocktails. But the food is the real selling point with their flavorful crab Benedict and grits. Plus their French toast with whipped ricotta was to die for.

5 Stars! This place is definitely one to stop at! The food is delicious and the drinks are fun! Service is outstanding! The atmosphere looks upscale but the vibe is relaxed. A must stop spot for Happy Hour!

Spectacular all around. Amazing service. To die for french toast (must get) and delicious brunch cocktails. Since it's on the 2 floor the views were terrific. Local tip: Get there before 9:30 for a table outside. Highly recommend!

AMAZING. Everything was so delicious and beautiful. The blueberry pancakes were so good with the perfect balance of sweet. The rum punch was tasty and so cute in the fish glass! Come early if you want to get the best view on the balcony. Our waiter Paulo and the other work staff were so awesome and friendly!

Good spot to go with friends and enjoy the ocean breeze. Delicious food, impeccable service and nice ambience in La Jolla. Great variety on menu, from light plates like salads to fried plates like frish n chips. I recommend ths surf and turf as a dish and callamari for entree. Amazing drinks and beers. I went on a sunday lunch and wasn't so busy. I wait 20 minutes for seating, which is okay. Definetely I had an excellent experience in Cody's :)

Wonderful place for breakfast or lunch. I've been going here for over a dozen years and have always been delighted with my experience. I love their French toast. Food is nicely presented without being too gourmet. The servers treat me like a VIP even though I don't get there as often as I'd like to. Very nice decor while remaining casual and comfortable.

The blended horchata is absolutely amazing! The food was alright, I have definitely had better tacos but for overall experience, they were very accommodating and we were very satisfied with the service.

You’ll usually find me eating tacos off of a paper plate while standing outside, but sometimes you gotta sit down and spend the quality time and this is that: quality. If you can get there at happy hour do it! Snacks and shareables are half off, the potato rolled tacos with the chicharones is my combo. Try all the tacos, foreal you can’t miss. Me? I’m going with the fish taco and the short rib birria and washing it down with a horchata.

Really great Mexican food! Amazing sauces, tacos, taquitos, guacamole and margaritas. I appreciate the veggie options! Dog friendly! Recommend getting a reservation. Nice covered outdoor dining area with heaters.

Tacos are good, I love their ceviche more. Very unique (crispy citrus + tropical fruits) flavor. Blue tacos is a memory point. I love places use their creativity to create unique experiences for clients, for example, their postcard + a taco pin. A modern and trendy place. The service is also very good.

I would go back to San Diego JUST for this restaurant alone! Omg these tacos. They are absolutely delectable!! I was so impressed. Our Uber driver told us this was the best taco spot in SD, and he was not wrong. The tacos are so flavorful and all of the items are fresh fresh!! The margs are also on point, with several different selections. We got the salsa appetizer which came with 4 different styles, all of which were amazing. This place was top tier, and I HIGHLY recommend it! Can’t wait to go back!

For a chain restaurant, their Mexican food was delicious and authentically tasting. Delicious cocktails as well, we’ll balanced and naturally ingredients! Our server was not as attentive as we expected but overall the experience was a good one.

Came here for the first time after previously visiting other locations. This one is certainly my favorite! The atmosphere is relaxing, service was quick and great, and most importantly the food was delicious! The chips & salsa with the salsa bar is a total of only $5 and a definite must-have if you come here. The salsas are amazing! For tacos, I really recommend the Baja fish taco and the al pastor one.

the beer was very good, we drank Puesto Claro with a smooth and pleasant flavor, the chips were perfect crispy and fresh, for tacos lovers we ate baja fish and quesabirria both were super spicy and unfortunately spoiled all the flavor, I don't recommend tacos ! the portion of chicharrones was good!

I love tacos, and I usually sample tacos from some of the best wherever I travel. Puesto has, hands down, the best locally sourced ingredient tacos I have ever had. The staff are chill, kind and quick to respond, I will easily eat here again and again. (And also top notch delicious margarita!!!!!)

The place is beautiful inside and outside. The tacos and drinks were very tasty. Tuesday is taco day so you get appetizers at half off. Definitely a winner. Service from the kitchen was a bit slow. Ask for the drink to come with the food if you like that. Otherwise your glass will be empty when food arrives.

I absolutely adored the tacos in Puesto La Jolla, especially the one with steak; it was truly something special, perhaps one of the best I’ve ever had. However, the service was a letdown, even though the place wasn’t even half full. There was a minor incident with my friend’s service dog who barked a couple of times due to thirst, and the manager approached our table with an unwelcoming tone, suggesting we move outside. Her attitude left a lot to be desired, and she could use a lesson or two in hospitality and how to handle guests and situations. Knowing how I would have handled it as a manager, I was disappointed. While I’d definitely return for those amazing tacos, the impatient service and rude manager might keep me away.
