This is an amazing site to discover in Kyiv. Visit the church, see the mirror egg outside. The outstanding architecture. You need to visit this as travellers. It's a must and less than $5 to visit. On my visit there was some coffee machine outside, was very tasteful.

Beautiful place!!! Lots to see so make sure you have plenty of time. The bell tower is a little bit of a workout but completely worth it. The architecture, artwork, grounds and history is quite amazing.

This is a refreshingly happy of sorts religious monument. Forget about being a tourist and just join the crowds, go around and soak the atmosphere. You’ll see groups praying, pilgrims kissing icons, priests care of daily chores and the like. Highly recommended if you’re into vibe and not just seeing a monument.

To see that how important religion is and bears basic values for Ukrainian people, one cannot be surpired to see this monastery complex being a historical site and a day-to-day worship place at once. The buildings are in very good shape and the architecture - just like in all Kiev and Ukrain - are so compelling and uplifting that one start to wonder how they keep in touch with God real time? Visit the catacombs to see the preserved history and stroll along with the locals to feel their love and devotion first hand. Out of tradition and respect ladies has to wear a skirt and a scarf over head but don't worry, they are well equipped to provide you with these! Takig pictures obviously prohibited down there but you will never forget this experience!

The biggest religious place I have ever seen, and it is beautiful and clean. You can see a lot of ceremonies while you are visiting. Great way to observe and meet with new cultures.

It’s not really “free” to enter but 100 UAH to pay. But of course it’s worth paying the amount as you’ll get to see amazing monastery with so many beautiful ornaments around. Do not miss the viewpoint as you’ll be able to see nice view under the river and to the war museum down south.

Kyiv is the capital of great people

Tramendous historical place to visit, built in the 11th century. Several buildings with excibitions and fresco on the religious topics. I would advise to explore it with the guided tour and buy souvenirs. As I was born in this city, I have visited it many times. Attached are 2 old historical photos that I liked and my photos :)

It has a breathtaking structure. Those who want to climb the bell tower will experience the feeling of height after the first floor. There's enough space upstairs on the first floor. The view is spectacular especially in the evenings and cristmas time. The cathedral is one of the oldest and best examples. Mysterious architecture is a marvel. It is already under UNESCO protection. Narrow doors, arched passages, wall frescoes take you on a journey through time.

I travel a lot so I've seen many beautiful cathedrals. But still St. Sofia impressed me to the bottom of my heart. Amazing antient place with gorgeous wall-paintings.

Amazing cathedral, its even more beautiful when seen from the bell tower. this make climbing the wooden steps of bell tower, worth it. Architectural beauty from inside out. the paintings depicted on the walls are something to be mesmerized with. the atmosphere is so clam, its wonderful to be there. The entrance is chargeable given it also attracts tourists, the fee is nominal at 60 UAH. have cafe and washrooms inside with beautiful garden. can spend hours if one wishes to.

The visit of the cathedral was a nice experience. We were a but disappointed by the side buildings / museum which didn't add too much value to the day (but are very cheap to access) but entering the main cathedrale Sainte-Sophia and going on top of the entrance tower was a wonderful experience. The inside of cathedrale is very rich in decoration and the view from the bell is astonishing.

All Kiev itself speaks for the people of this country - you can see their devotion and love for their God and religion. Architecture is their primary language, a beautiful one indeed! To see this thousand year old church and to learn about their millennial city organizing skills makes us, 21st century mortals wonder, how we will be present in the life of those people in a short 100 year from now? The Cathedral and the surroundings are beautiful, worth to immerse yourself to the atmosphere even for a short time!

I headed over to St. Sophia’s Cathedral, which was massive and enchanting, but also super dark, cold and fascinating. The nuns were everywhere to be found and the big entrance was really lovely, but the star of the show is the giant egg display upstairs. It’s a 15,000 painted egg mosaic made in about 10 years ago. The coolest part was that the artist enlisted the help of schoolchildren in order to paint all the eggs needed for the project.

Museum door guards very rude while we were in the lobby desiring if we go or not into the place. We leave and we did not get in. Interesting corner with a Soviet taste.

This is a hue statue in Kyiv. You can see it from very far away. Impressive.

Highly recommended to visit if you are in Kyiv. Was impressed by modern installation of war, Holocaust and current eastern war. And it costs only 50 uah for adults. Unfortunately, city view place was closed, but anyway spending time there was very good.

Nice tourist location, it’s explain part of Ukraine history, there is some guns and military vehicles from word war . Ukraine is very beautiful country and the people are very kind, in my opinion the government needs to focus more how to attract the tourist people. It can be one of the best tourist countries over the world.

One of the best places i visited in Kiev. It is absolutely amazing. You should definitely visit this place if you are anywhere nearby. There are also museums and WW2 army vehicles on display.

"A GREAT DAY OUT" You can easily spend a good few hours walking around here, Looking at the huge selection of military hardware, statues and monuments. Best of all it's free 😱😱😱 You can pay for a ticket to go inside and behind the barriers if you wish too. (we did not see the need to do this so can't comment on it's worth, but it did look like a very impressive exhibition)

It’s the main street in kyiv, you can find a lot of bars, cafes, restaurants from different cultures, and also it’s the first destination for the tourists that’s a lot of languages here

School canteen style restaurant. You should wait on the line with a tray, pay and pick fork&knife (if you can find). Some traditional foods can be find. Quality is below avarage. And it’s not cheap. Don’t waste your time.

Food is ok. Very low quality. Lots of choice for small kids. It is not really cheap when you have bigger family. Bathrooms are filthy…

They have a wide varieties of Ukraine dishes.You can see and select what you want to eat from the buffet and pay at the counter.Usually very crowded.Tasty and economical food.

Good food for a good price Canteen type of place. How to use: First, you grab a tray and then you follow the line of people through the food islands. You need to point out to the servers what you would like and they pass it to you from the other side. They have everything from appetizers to deserts. Do not forget utensils at the end of the line ! Once you done with food ordering, go to the cashier. Then you are free to occupy any available table in the dinning area. They clean up after you, leave trays and plates at the table. Also, they have restrooms.

Very tasty and authentic Ukrainian food as well as a nice atmosphere. The prices are cheap for the amount of food you’ll get. I would recommend the Schnitzel and other deep fried chicken meals. During the rush hour you have to expect to wait in the line for quite a long time. Also, there are not enough restrooms, especially for women. You can pay with your credit card. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

The outdoor and indoor dining spaces are very comfortable and nicely decorated. The food is great. We enjoyed the breakfast and coffee menus very much. The staff are helpful and courteous. Like the rest of Kyiv, the prices are very reasonable. This restaurant is worthy of repeated visits.

The food is good and it's a beautifully decorated restaurant, but like most of the restaurants in Kiev, it's missing the fast service aspect. Service is friendly, but slow. When a company of, let's say, 10 thirsty and hungry men arrives, their orders for beverages should be served right away. This way, the guests would be able to order a second round, even before the food's on the table, and the restaurant would double the profit on beverages alone.

Definitely a good place to come if you're really hungry and/or in the mood to enjoy your food. Excellent service (thanks, Maxim!) and an appropriate playlist will help you concentrate on what's on your plate (may I suggest Black Angus from Arkansas?) If you can make some meaningful comments about the wine suggestions, you will probably get to talk to their sommelier, which is always a nice touch. Bottom line, the whole experience was awesome. And yes, your bill is not going to be modest, so come prepared )

Besides being arguably the best steakhouse in Kyiv, it is a great breakfast spot as well. Top class friendly and helpful staff, delicious food (eggs are cooked at the table) and pastry, exquisite decor. Highly recommended.

Went here for a celebration and found a gem. The food was very tasty, the bathrooms were very clean and the staff even spoke English. The restaurant has a nice cozy feel to it and the staff is great. We were with a party of 4 and they all agree, it's a great place to eat.

You won’t regret eating here. Absolutely amazing Georgian food and service. The team will make sure you have a great experience throughout your meal. I’m already looking forward to visiting again when I’m back in Kyiv.

This Georgian restaurant was close to my hotel so I thought I’d visit after reading the positive reviews. The food was okay. The server was very nice and she explained everything, like how to eat the dumplings. The only gripe I have is that the man at the entrance only asked me for my vaccine card - didn’t even check anyone else. Why? I sat right at the entrance. Every other person just walked in. Very strange and off putting.

We went there on a Saturday night, randomly entered. There was live music and staff was nice. Prices are affordable for a popular place in Kyiv.

Went there on a Tuesday evening without reservation. Place was full and we had to wait outside for about 10-15 minutes then we got free table. After odering they served the dishes very fast and quality and taste of food was delicious. Dessert were very tasty. Excellent price .Would recommend this place to others

Came here because of the 10k+ good reviews and the food didn't disappoint. We were served a complimentary starter of bread and hummus the minute we sat down. We ordered the plov set meal which came with another bread with smoked eggplant dip (Vinete), yanti, and drink of choice; as well as the lamb kebab set meal which came with a huge plate of salad and drink of choice. The plov was incredibly tasty and aromatic, the lamb kebab was so juicy and the white rice that came with it was also super tasty and perfectly cooked. We were too full to try the yanti so our waitress kindly packed it for us. We also ordered a cheese cheburek and mushroom cheburek to take home, just to try, as it's one of my favourite things to eat ever. Prices are also reasonable. Wish we had more space in our stomachs to try the manti as well! But next time!

Very unique place! Would expect to find a place like this in Portland, OR or Seattle, WA--very 'hipster'. Everything that we ordered was delicious and the service was very attentive. Definitely recommend! (As a plus for foreigners, almost all food dishes have photos in the menu and are listed in English as well as Ukrainian and Russian).

Awesome awesome place! The interior is very cozy and every group has its own place. The service is very good and the food... oh the food!!! You have many dishes with very cool twists and the food itself is very good. Go visit this place! You won't regret it!!!
