Lots of temple and kings palace to be seen..this place is quite huge so expect a little walking. Got to know many ancient cultures related to Nepalese people. A must visit place. I don't exactly remember the temple's name but saw a black mandala by dalailama on the entrance door.

It was very nice and informative place. Here we can see the oldest architectural design. Without any machinery they build so many high rise buildings and they're still very strong. It's q very nice tourists spot. Kids and students can visit here and they can learn more about past.

This place is situated at the heart of Kathmandu's business hub, New Road. Roads are busy and full of people all the time. This heritage site has lots of temples and sculptures around. Morning, day or evening, it's fun to walk around watching all the busy lives going about their day. Everyone should visit this place if they are around the area, it doesn't matter if you are by yourself, with your partner or in a group, this place has a fresh vibe that will please all.

Good but under a major rejuvanation process. Most temples closed due to renovation. Lots of people visiting during evenings. Worth a visit, if not now then in the upcoming years when all the damage due to earthquake is undone and a new durbar square is brought to life.

At first we thought it was a gated area that need buy ticket or wearing special bangle pass to enter but it wasn't. If the guard ask you to pay the ticket then you need to, if not then you can enter free based on your appearance as local. normally white people they alert your present. It's more better of there is signage label each place / buildings. Maybe can give more info about the building such as date, function, materials used etc.

A religious site for Hindu 🕉 . Lots of temples and monuments in this area. A river named Bagmati flowing between temples 🛕 Capturing photos after entering from gate of main temple is strictly prohibited 🚫. Other than this area you can click pictures 📸 of anywhere. A small area on upper part of temple is separated for deer 🦌that can be visited free of cost. I strongly advise visitors to carry their 🍌🍎🍕foods and belongings safely because of various monkey 🐒 attacks that had been reported several times. I recommend everyone to visit this place once a life time.

You can feel the energy here. The temple is beautiful. People don't follow any que system. Have enough time to visit all small temples nearby. You have to leave your footwear outside the temple. There is a place for footwear drop center by temple free of cost. Be very careful while shopping. Need to do lots of bargain and select original products.

An oasis inside of the city - all of the traffic noise disappear and it is the cleanest place I've seen in Kathmandu. Seeing the pilgrim goers and monks adds to the reverent feel.

400 rps for foreigners. I didn't pay, I just walked in decided without looking back hahaha, it's nice but not worth the money as you can only walk around from the outside. After 8pm the ticket office was closed. It's nice to have a drink or a meal in one of the top floor of the restaurants. Full of money exchange offices with good rate

Smaller than I thought but it looks like some expansion is going on. Well cared for and a pleasant visit. Good place to read a book. Seniors get half of the $3 admission. Bring your passport. No cafe but maybe at other times one will open. Not busy on a Tuesday.

We are not sure the purpose of the visiting for nowadays (based on our own experienced coz at Kashmir also local suggest is to visit the garden), maybe the culture or during passed time this place suitable. Anyway it's a good maintained place with clean & fresh ambiance. Got entrance fees.

Beautiful garden, albeit a bit small but that's expected as Kathmandu is a small but interesting city. A very relaxing, quiet and secluded area where you almost forget that you're in Nepal. If you're planning on where to go during the day, then this garden is a great shout but you'll spend 1-2 hour max here as it isn't very big, as previously mentioned. Definitely still visit this place though, I highly recommend it.

As you go in you can feel the peace and calmness of the garden. Be aware of bugs and mosquitos as it has a lot of nature inside. It’s a beautiful place to have a date, to read a book or paint and it is full of security so you feel save while you see the amazing architecture and nature of the place.

There is really nothing dream-worthy about this garden. It is a small garden financed by the Austrian government in downtown Kathmandu. There is a 400 Rupee entrance fee, which I think was not worth it. The place is green and there are benches to relax, and normally, it is not very crowded.

I visited first time in this garden in the morning time. The colour of the walls are very soothing. The plants and tress are planted in a very decorative manner. You can sit and spend a good time in this garden. The look of the garden is royal. The sound of the fountain will make you feel happy. The garden is well maintained.

Nice garden, high price for tourist entry. Came on a Saturday so was quite busy, full of people doing tiktoks which ruined the experience for those wanting to relax and enjoy the beauty of the place. Loved the old style buildings nearby which are being renovated.

Today, it was my first time to the garden of dreams. It is also good place for dating your girlfriend . I really enjoyed this place. It is full of greenhouse with variety of flowers and small green grass. It’s a Lovely little garden. Yes there is an entry fee which is about 150 per head but the garden is very nice and well managed. It’s a nice break from being a tourist in the city. It was very relaxing to sit back and enjoy people watching.

The outdoor area is good but I personally like the indoor play area. It charges NRs 150 per child (adults are not charged) and allows for unlimited play time. Your kids can play, safe from various weather conditions, and you just can sit, relax and watch your kids without much worry. Saturdays are much busier, but other days remain less occupied and fun.

One of few limited options to take kids out in kathmandu. Suitable for budget constraints situation . In 2023 March most of ride for kids is around 50-80 rupee each(2-5 minute ride). The play zone for kid is 150 rupee , unlimited play time (you can't do in out of this place). If you like crowd then visit on Saturday and public holidays. Incase you like quiet or want to avoid crowd visit on weekdays.

I came here because of the good pictures and comments. Everyone told me that this is the best pizza in Nepal. Ummmmm.....not the one I got. Positive first, they use good ingredients. The pizza tasted good...when there's pizza. If you look at my pizza, you can see that 1/3 or 1/2 of the pizza wasn't filled in at all. For the price of the pizza, I felt like I'm eating a lot of dry bread. Don't cheat your customers. Thanks for nothing.

This is the most authentic Italian pizza I have ever eaten at a restaurant and it’s in Nepal! Fresh, simple ingredients and baked perfectly. The ice cream is imported from Italy as I’m sure are many of the ingredients. My highest recommendation for this restaurant and the owners. They have it figured out. I’ll be back when I return to Nepal.

One of the beat pizzas I have ever had! Thin and crispy crust, the flour itself used to make the pizza was a standout. Extremely delicious dough! The toppings were plentiful and real tomatoes were used and just enough. We had the half and half pizza, half Paesana, half was Adelina. The atmosphere and design of the place was adorable, great music and impeccable service.

I came here after hearing all the fuss about stone oven cooked pizza. They made mines and bunch of other pizza’s on a electric pizza oven. I could’ve overlooked that if the pizza were fine and I was happy to overlook the overpriced ginger honey tea but ….. Okay! Seriously! you lost me right when you add potato’s as pizza toppings. And that’s one of the signature pizza’s from this pizza joint. I literally have no words. Trying different things is one thing but potatoes? No! Just no! (I won’t even mention the carb overload.)

Hard not to love pizza here. Customer service is pretty decent (it used to be better) and the ambiance is enjoyable overall. It could get crowded so plan accordingly. Parking could be an issue at times but manageable. No 5 stars though because of the service charge and VAT which means you spend around 25% extra on top of what's already an expensive menu.

The pizzas were ok, tried 4 different varieties. The place was crowded at 7:30/7:40, understandable, as it was a Friday night. The crowd slowly thinned down by around 8:45-9:00. The place certainly has a different ambience to it, but maybe a little crowded and very little space to maneuver and move compared to many other spacious places. The service was prompt and amazing, despite the big crowd. However, I noticed they offer kids chairs. The staff certainly deserve kudos. The washrooms were well maintained.

Great food. We ordered the Paesana pizza (with added Rockets), Crostini with mushroom and tomatoes (mixed), and Rondelle di Patate Fritte (ie. Potato chips). All very well made. I wish I had such a good Pizzeria back home. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Excellent pizza just like a specialty pizza place at home. Pizzas were a decent size so we ordered 2 for the three of us. The lemon soda does not come with sugar but I asked for some and they brought some simple sugar syrup and it was great with that.

We came here for a post trek part recently. The place was really busy, but the service was good. The pizzas were good, and not only because we had just come off a trek! Not the best pizza I've ever had, but good quality for the price.

To be clear, it is not a vegan restaurant. You can find vegetarian dishes here. You need to take off shoes and sit on the floor because there are low tables. The prices cannot be considered decent. You have to pay 10% service charge. The lighting and interior of this place make it look more like a bar and less like a restaurant. If you like drinking, then it might be the place for you.

Food was okay-ish. The organic salad i bought was just some leaves and some little goat cheese. It was good but too expensive for it. Otherwise, the ambience is really nice. And i love the fact that you can sit on the floor. Maybe next time i will feel better there.

This is the 3rd time I’ve been at OR2K so far and every meal has been great. I’ve ordered an OR2K Buddha bowl in the past (the one with Falafel on the side) and wanted to order the same one tonight, but I got the other one which wasn’t as great. The side was supposed to be “yakitori skewers” and because of that, I had very different expectations of what I would be getting as a side in terms of ingredients, but especially of quantities (as you can see from the pic, the skewers are really tiny). Having said that, it was my fault to switch the names of the only two dishes with women’s names (Julia and Alice). Just wanted to suggest being careful about calling the dish by its name as shown on the menu! 😅

I would have rated 4 star but however my today’s experience spoilt my experience for this place. I had asked for 2 cheese cake for takeaway around 3 in the afternoon and specifically asked if it was fresh. The guy at the reception mentioned it was fresh and I brought it home. To my dismay, the cream was spoilt. I called the restaurant mentioning this issue and the guy at the other end says it was 3 days old. Then why was I given this cake and why did the guy at the reception lie? Very disappointed. Not buying from this place again.

Very cool laid-back atmosphere. The food was very good. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Food is all vegetarian and many options for Vegans. Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu.

You sit on the floor FYI. Middle eastern focused place, the atmosphere was beautiful and washrooms were good. Food was great, their organic salad with goat cheese was crazy good and falafel was on point. Will be coming back before I head home

I think the rating of this place really depands on what you came for - we came on the Deshain holiday evening, just to drink something and have a snack. The food was ok (we took the bigger combo for the 2 of us), nothing to write home about, but not bad. However, we really enjoyed to sit there with our hot drinks, and we also liked their version of hello to the queen. So overall - great place to come and chill, especially if it rains :) not a must culinary experience.

Good food , nice seating , clean spot only thing they still serve water in plastic bottles and left over food in non - organic take away containers and blue plastic bags . Guys try to find a greener solution please and maybe filter your water and serve it in jugs instead of selling plastic bottles .

The food was delicious and the juice was tasty but a bit warm (maybe we should have asked for ice, so not big deal). We ordered water and they still serve bottled water, perhaps more sustainable options could be considered. Overall, we were happy with the food, service and they accept international cards which is awesome.

Have seen this restaurant being built from day one, during the lockdown period. The decor and style had often impressed me. So today, I went in for a coffee. The photo of the coffee will tell you the quality of the coffee. Poor coffee and super expensive. The open terrace looks good and service was good. Will go back to try their meals.

I have tried their Pizza and Momos. Both of those are awesome. Their service is mind blowing and you must find a good place of peace. Their interior is highly appreciated. I will revisit that, if I find any chance to visit Kathmandu. I highly recommend you to choice Rosemary Kitchen and Coffee Shop.

A decent place serving mainly continental food. Ambience is nice, especially because they have a small garden in the middle which makes all the difference . They have good music playing. The staff are very friendly. I tried the chicken momo which tasted good along with the sauce, but it wasn't very hot. Spaghetti carbonara was good, the ham was a bit too hard to chew and I would like to have more cheese on it. Good place to chill. No parking. The bathroom is OK, can be cleaner.

Amazing ambience, great pizzas with beer deal, really friendly service, and the best tiramisu and chocolate brownie in town. Caters for veges as well. Will definitely be visiting again. Definitely recommended. Waiter @Tashi Sherpa was really friendly and accommodating to all our needs.

Nice place to taste European food. Prices are obviously 'for tourists'. Waiters are very kind. Tablecloth was not up to the place (there were two too short and upside-down).

Rosemary's Kitchen is a lovely restaurant with an internal courtyard providing a mix of inside and outside seating. Staff were friendly and confirmed our orders clearly. The large menu gave several different cuisine styles, food was excellently prepared and presented. And of course it all tasted great too. A friend of mine also mentioned this is a great breakfast spot, so I'll have to try that out sometime too!

No doubt that this place is for pizzas 🍕 We tried carbonara with chicken and chicken tandoori and they turned out to be good. They do have other regular starters items, pastas, sandwiches and burgers, and salads including cocktails, mocktails, local and international spirits, beers, and coffees too. I tried mint lemonade which wasn’t that great. Rest of the other experience was great. Ambiance was great, staffs are friendly from door to tables. Parking is bit difficult.

Take a break from Nepali/Tibetan cuisines. Very good wood fired pizza. You can choose half and half, two flavours. Cheesy pasta was so creamy and rich.

The roadhouse cafe is so beautifully decorated in the thamel tourist district offering delicious pizza at cozy indoor and outdoor set up and there is heater for chilly nights. Service is absolutely great. Must visit when in nepal. We ordered chicken tandoori pizza and potato wedges *vegetarian*. Pizza was simply superb. It was soft and cheesy and had right amount of the tandoori chicken topping which was also yum. The outdoor seating area is very beautiful

This is the only roadhouse i will recommend. Food there are very tasty. Place is very chill. First time i went there i had a Salad . It was also good. All the items are delicious so far. Cheese cake is the best. But a-bit expensive 😅.

The best pizza house in Kathmandu. Seems they offer different pizza every month as the pizza of the month. We had Bolognese Pizza in January. Bologna is a city at north Italy. It was really yummy. Smoked Chicken Sadheko & Roadhouse Nachos were delicious starters. We liked the cozy environment inside with gas heater nearby & beautiful decorations. Sitting ouside looked beautiful as well surrounded by Himalayan bamboo trees. Staffs were polite & responsive. A must visit cafe while in Kathmandu.

Roadhouse and their Roadhouse Cafe is definitely one of the most comfortable places in Kathmandu. Hot showers, comfy atmosphere, wonderful staff as well as such a good breakfast area. The bar goes firm 8:30am to 11pm, their Lemon Mint Mocktail was so enjoyable! Will definitely come back again and again, without doubt.

Wanted a break from nepali cousin.Being a pizza nerd, Pizza exceeded my expectations. Tried chicken tandoori, pistachio and mortadella half half. My friend tried Mexican and carbonara. My top vote goes to mortadella topping. Crispy and smoky like how wood pizza should be. Nice ambiance too. Went there 3 times in total. The taste consistency varied a bit.

Great place for the thin crust pizza. I can only speak for the pizza, since that was all I tried. Quick and good. The though was thin and crispy. The flavor was good too. Decent price, around $10 for a large size, good for 2 people. The place was clean and nice atmosphere. Great ambience. Service was good. Easy access, outdoor and indoor seatings.

We came here twice in our 4-day stay in central Kathmandu, as it was recommended by the people at our hotel a few blocks away. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The first time was after a big lunch, so we got the loaded nachos, which were good. The second night we got Pad Thai and it was excellent. But our favorite thing (besides the beer!) was the warm carrot cake. Yum! There is a covered porch surrounding a courtyard, so the dining is mainly outside.

July 03, 2023: Took my fiancé and his family for my birthday dinner. This was my 2nd time being here to celebrate my birthday this year and last year. Good food. A lot of food choices. Good service. Very attentive. Good atmosphere. Food prices are reasonable. I definitely recommend this place if you are in Thamel, KTM. Side Note: Asked for non-smoking table to be seated if you don't like to smell the smokes from people smoking. I had bad coughing attack when the next table came in and started smoking.

This is my third time in this place. first and second time i find the was was okey but after that i tried different dishes and most of them were amazing. they really have good favour, This place will be more perfect if you dont like spicy food in Nepal. They international food more than the local one. so if you miss your international food this can meet your expectation.

Gaia is a very peaceful and quiet place where one can enjoy individual company with a very comforting garden. I, personally enjoyed the pleasant environment and the delightful dinner,padthai along with the fresh salad that is best known around this area since it is said to be of their own farm at dhulikhel. Honestly, the food here is so good that other food have started to taste bland for me. For alone visit and as well as visiting with friends and family, this place is a very nice spot. I've been here several times before with my friends too and this place never fails to satisfy me.

Highly recommend. Great service, nice ambiance and the food is excellent in it's simplicity. Recommend the spicy Mustang Postatoes, Dal Bhat and mint lemonade.
