Long queues for the single lift to the top. Waited about an hour. Fantastic views over Jakarta and the park is very pleasant to walk around.

Went there in early December 2021. It was beautiful, but sadly, we could not enter the museum inside the place or go up to the top due to COVID restrictions. There were 2 gates that are closed, with people selling stuff nearby. Overall, its still good even when i did not experience the best part!

Impressive monument where you can take a lift to the top. Lovely little park around it if you want to get some rest. Expect long queues unless it is weekday morning. Today there was only one lift working but it was enough. You can also hop on the little road train which will take you straight to the monument entrance for free.

It is a nice place to visit. Be careful while buying the ticket for a ride to the top deck. The whole process is mismanaged and there is no sanctity for your time. I got a slot at 12 noon and left after waiting till 1.30 pm. The museum captures the history of Indonesia beautifully.

The museum is just below underground the national monument which can be enter by purchasing a ticket for museum will be 5000rp and to visit the sky view of national monument is 10000rp. Recommend to do early booking if you intent to go up of the national monument to enjoy the sky view as ticket are limited. However it is not tourist friendly as it will be requiring tourist to purchase a JakLingko card to enter the museum that cost additional 15,000rp.

A very modern and one of the newest shopping malls in Jakarta. It has a great variety of shops, but majority is high end brands, so don't expect any super bargains here. The hallways themselves offers great space. The layout can be tricky in the beginning and a little bit awkward, but it is easy to get into the groove of where to go, just make sure to have enough time ^^. 2 spacious and wide areas for dining where you will definitely be ablebto find something to your preference. As well as a couple of places are located in the LG and UG floors too. A great mall to visit if it is your first time here in Jakarta.

One oglf the biggest Mall in Central Jakarta. 2 buildings are West & East. F&B mostly at East Mall. Completed famous merchants. Parking area is very big. Mall for middle upper Class.

I see no one reviews their parking so here you go Price of the car parking is 5k idr for the first hour and 4k for the continuing hours Sprial for going up is kind of steep, so be careful. Also the exit is always crowded so expect some congestion when going out. There is staff that can help with managing the traffic when we go out

The West Mall is a sprawling complex offering artificial recreational areas to replace green areas and parks that are largely missing in Jakarta. It is home to a wide variety of high-end brands, as well as more affordable options, as well as excellent street foods outside the West Mall that should have the right to be inside the mall also. There is also a large food court with a variety of cuisines to choose from. The mall is well-maintained and cleans up to the minute details, and the staff is friendly and very helpful and I hope they are paid far above the minimum wage. The mall is at the central location in Jakarta, making it easy to get to, makes us wonder how they occupy a vast commercial area close to a historical landmark. The mall can be crowded at times, especially on weekends as there are almost no green areas in Jakarta. The prices at the mall can be high, so it is not the best place to go for budget-friendly shopping. The mall seems not to apply any green building or green energy design and there is not a lot of natural light inside. The mall is a maze and is a bit overwhelming, especially for first-timers, and for senior citizens. Yet, as most malls do, it is a reliable place to find what you are looking for. Car parking can be costly and hard to find. Anticipate people driving recklessly and selfishly within the mall surroundings.

Nice and spacious shopping mall. West mall has many options for food than the other, but some are so crowded, so we have to wait aka waiting list.

The West mall has many specialty shops as well as the Food Hall and other restaurants & cafe. We're looking for the Kinokuniya book store, in fact it's inside the Food Hall. If you're looking for a BCA ATM you are lucky because it's located on the first level. Strangely, you need to go up 4 more levels to find other banks' ATMs.

I haven't visited Grand Indonesia since Covid. Since I like Car Free Day a lot, I have a stroll at Grand Indonesia East and West Mall after CFD. The latter is renovating a lot, a lot of shops are closed but there is a variety of food choices. I like the architecture of the East Mall and love to catch up with friends at Social House again.

Renovations make this biggest mosque in Southeast Asia better. Many pilgrims come from other cities in Indonesia. Tourists can also visit this place. There is a tourist desk that will guide you. Just watch your clothes (polite dress)

Most worth visiting attraction in Jakarta. This place is not only stunning but also very well organized with super friendly staff that are always smile at you. Visiting time for tourist is after 10am. You shall be escorted to waiting room for your guided tour which is every 30 minutes and given proper clothing. The guide speak lovely English, he gave so good introduction about the place and give so much useful information. With 0$ entrance fee i didn't expected to be guided professionally like that. Cats are everywhere in the mosque

After the renovation, I suppose this mosque is the most comfortable mosque in Indonesia. Nevertheless, the road from the parking lot to the main hall is really really far My dad who is 62 years old was struggle enough with this circumstances. I hope the management could bring some breakthrough for this

Just come to the humas office and there will be a tour schedule for tourist, the staff will bring us around and share history about Istiqlal Mosque. Recommend to visit if you are around this area. Not far from Cathedral Church and Monas so can plan to visit 3 places at same time.

Alhamdulillah was Privileged to be able to visit during Ramadhan. Huge mosque, quite confusing to manoeuvre and the shelters outside font face the Qiblat. Huge prayer dome and hall. Lovely team and volunteers managing the crowds well.

Jakarta doesn't have many tourist spots, but this mosque was very nice. Foreigners (non-Muslims) will be required to tour in groups and will be guided in English. The tour lasts approximately 30 minutes. The explanations were thorough and in easy-to-understand English.

a lot has changed since the last decade i visited this place, quite nostalgic i would say. most of the area were kept well while the others...*sigh*. definitely do try the gondola and don't forget to rent a bike here!! it was 30K i believe? it was an enjoyable experience to ride around the park in the evening!

Went here after the President opened the newly renovated park. It has improved a lot compared to before. However, some facilities still out of use and if you came here without cars, then you might be at difficulty to reach everywhere. But the parks itself is quite walkable. Nice stroll along the memory lane!

The Taman Mini Indonesia Indah park is an interesting place to visit for the day. The gondola was a great way to see the whole thing at once. I enjoyed seeing the traditional Indonesian style buildings. There is even a small train you can ride here.

A good place to explore Indonesia, with a good go-green policy that reduces the emission from visitors' vehicles, and lots of pavilions to explore Indonesian culture. However, the shuttle bus arrangement still needs to be improved to cater for visitors who came with public transport to TMII. This is a good place to educate children but child-friendly toilets need to be increased and rest area between the bus stops need to be provided.

It's improved very well after renovated... This miniature of Indonesia has everything if you wanna know about Indonesian cultures...located in East Jakarta and easy access fro many places... The good place to bring your family here to introduce Indonesian cultures as well as pleasure...you can also have picnic and do some sport too...

Nice place to see the sites of Indonesia. I think they need to have better signing and organised buggy service. It's hard for tourists outside Indonesia to figure out how to best get around this place. And in the daytime heat it's even harder.

It is one of wellknown attraction place in Jakarta. We can explore Indonesia in one place. Really recommended lah. It has been upgraded after renovation to be more clean, orderly and regular although I feel like the price is higher and some other facilities provided to be commercial needs. But ok lah. Hope all renovation will be done completely soon.

It's been a very long time since I've visited this magnificent place. It changed a lot! And for better! Free shuttle with a lot of stops, you can rent an electric bike, or ATV, or jeep for you and your family to visit all of the amusement and museums one by one. Better to visit this place for 3 days, because it's very impossible to enjoy all of the amusement and museum in just one day.

A pretty expansive theme park offering a glimpse into different parts of Indonesia. Entrance tickets could be purchased online for 25,000 rupiah per person, which seemed like a reasonable deal. There are buses available to shuttle people around, though general information seemed to be lacking upon our entry. We felt as though more guest information could have been made available to better understand the lay of the land and how to get around. We wandered for a while and used Google maps to attempt to get our bearings, though maybe others who enter from different entrances are given different information.

This is one of the most iconic building in Indonesia. I believe everybody in Indonesia knows Keong Mas theatre in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah. They still play movies regularly however it was not a regular theatre movies which you will find in cinemas. They are planning to upgrade this Imax theatre and hopefully they can show more popular movies. The building is located inside Taman Mini Indonesia Indah so you can also find another attraction to know Indonesia in one location. Highly recommended

Nice to see culture and history but lacking in maintenance and upkeep of the place. Food choices were skimp and so many stray cats. One of the buildings were closed and we had to ask them to open it for us. Recommend to do it on a cloudy day because it gets very hot

This place is good for tourism as well as learning about culture in Indonesia. the facilities are also complete and access to the location is also easy, so there's nothing wrong with visiting this place. you will see many examples of traditional houses from various provinces in Indonesia, there is also a cable car to see this place from above.

This place is not 'mini' at all. Place is huge with many things to see. There are also free shuttle vans to bring people to different spots in the park. Do visit if you have a chance. Be prepared to spend many hours there. Reason for deducting one star: there were still ongoing constructions, so not all areas are open. Also, shuttle drivers mostly speak indonesian, which is difficult for tourists to understand. Not many places to buy drinks and food. Do note: Some places have additional charges on top of the entrance ticket price.

I went there with friends and her family. She just came from USA and told wanna go to Old City. Then there we were. We went there on Friday and crowded, but it's not so packed like weekends. We bought tickets OTS. They loved to see the buildings design and some histories related to it. In some areas, they turned the AC on and tho it has high-ceiling but still hot. Perhaps in those areas, they should open some of those high-windows😅

Wondering about Indonesian History ? Here you can find information about Indonesian history as well as historical attributes such as underground prison, old money, stones, table, chair, painting, etc. It is an old two stories building, so when the visitors on the 2nd floor is too many, the guards will closed the door and asking visitors to come down. This place is fit for children and school trip. The contribution fee is very cheap arounr Rp 5.000 for adults, 4.000 for varsity student, 3.000 for kids and special price for group outing. However somehow the setting was not too attractive and a bit dusty.

A lot of graduates was helping with the tour and explaining in bahasa Indonesia. Worth the trip with school kids.

Museums closed at 16:00 on a Sunday. Batavia Restaurant sooo slow used up all the time for so-so meals. Most of Dutch menu gone.

I would recommend visiting here ! A few museums in the area, tattoo paloura, palm reading, portrait drawing,bike hire, cafes. Lots of tourist places selling souvenirs and clothing at a reasonable price.

If you want to know and learn about the history of jakarta, this museum is the right place to go. There are a lot af artefacts, historical items, etc about jakarta. You can also see the underground jail beneath this museum, to be honest thats pretty spooky,hehe.

We were here during lunch time, quite full but there were still empty tables. The waitress told us it would take about 30' for food hence we only ordered drinks. Kids ordered some Oreo strawberry drinks they said they were creamy n nice. Avocado coffee was good. Probably in a fine dining level, most of the drinks costs >Rp 50k with taxes and service. The restaurant is clean, perhaps famous for its classic decoration with high windows and comfortable chairs. And walls mostly covered with photos of classic objects, unique or famous people all to the toilets walls although some of them are not for kids. The waiters were very courteous and nice offered help taking pictures and suggested nice spots.

A very history cafe situated within an art-deco colonial building. Amazing decor and atmosphere, you can travel back in time to experience the old Jakarta. A great hangout place. The food was decent, a bit expensive for what we got. The fried rice was way too oily. The drinks were awesome though.

The cafe set up is something unique and different. There are lots of photo of 1980s and 1970s framed and hung over the wall which is one attraction. Next is, it has a good view of the Jakarta history museum. Everything looks photogenic and clean. The food is great with lovely staff.

5 for history and atmosphere, 3 for service and food. Historic old restaurant with great views for people watching. Most of our food tasted like it had been cooked hours ago and rewarmed. The peanut sauce was too sweet. Had to reorder drinks 3 times to get them. Go for the atmosphere, not for the food or service. Interestingly, the old neon sign was removed right outside our window, so I have included some photos of that process.

We came thinking and read previous reviews. Very very disappointing 😞 honestly I don't think any celebrity was ever in here, all pics were not authentic at all, none of them were even in the restaurant. Pics of celebrities from all over the world fabricated into frames and put on the walls, not even autographed by any of them. I not were why the fame except for the fact it's been there for a long time and foreigners are coming to it. They have a very strict rule, you can't sit next windows without ordering drinks and food each individual by force. We told them ok to do and requested little ice however all drinks came with extra ice!! They just don't listen! The chicken came very stiff and super fried where there is NO MEAT what so ever from the deep fry. Only the libester was descent however very Over priced for why they made. Nothing else comes with the plate. Do not recommend!

Our first time at Batavia Cafe and we loved it. Not acclimatised to the heat of Jakarta yet, so it was a welcome relief to be in the cool. Views over the square were very nice from our window table. The food was a culinary explosion of taste, colour and smell. Our server Yulia was very helpful and friendly. We will be back!

Lovely place! But quite overpriced, no decaf coffee, and they said the upstairs was full even though they had empty tables. A must for tourists, but don’t expect much else.

Food is good, big portion. Service is excellent, one of the waiter kindly show us around, explain history of batavia, even offering to took a picture of us! Good job! The ambience of the restaurant is very good too. Classic interior along with the slow music, very calming.

The employees were super kind, and loved the atmosphere of the cafe but there was one thing that caught my attention. Some of the tables along the window side at the second floor were not very clean. In general their food was great, reasonable price. A good place to take a rest during the trip in Jakarta.

Really nice café with a view on the main square. The staff is dressed in traditional clothes and the clientele is a mix of foreigners and locals. Prices are a bit higher than average but the food is really good. We had cakes (delicious!) and drinks (also really good!)

Food taste great, many choices selection range from seafood, chicken, beef, vegetable, and dessert. Lots of seating area but usually they quite full also so need to reserve first to secure your spot View directly to sea and they have porch for people who want to take a picture. Downside are, since they located near the sea so the smell is not so good and the extra cost for ticket entry to Ancol per person per vehicle.

Came here for a lunch with relatives as it was a recommendation for seafood from family in Australia. We ordered fish, prawns and squid. All were delicious. Loved the salted egg squid that we ordered. Such good flavour! Great spot as has water views. Service was a little slow and food came out quite staggered (the fish was about 20 or so minutes after the rest of the food).

The place is open from 10AM. It was a Public Holiday, we reached exactly around 10 AM. Not so crowded which is amazing. Food is so good! As always! If you love seafood, you must try when you visit Jakarta. Bills for 6 of us was Idr 1.7-ish but that because we are over order lol we ate Crab, Fish, Shrimps, Clams, Squid, and stir fry veggies with rice, drinks. Consider normal for 6 people and delicious seafood meal. Remember, their price is based on the grams so pay attention to it. Must try menu: Udang Bakar Saus Madu ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Really fun experience picking out live fish and ordering them to be cooked to our liking. Great selection of live seafood and cooking styles, tasty sauces and sides. Nice location on the waterfront in Ancol. Traffic was a nightmare getting in and out, but worth the wait when we finally got there

The location at seaside north Jakarta You must buy entrance ticket first because this location inside ancol bay city. They have clean restaurant but if to crowded little bit messy inside sometimes smells not good to fishy. You Can choose your Seafood first because they have fish market inside. Overall it's recommended seafood restaurant in Jakarta, but the price little bit higher with most Jakarta citizens.

It’s a good seafood restaurant on the seaside!!! Good view! Good food! Come here always makes me happy. But everytime i come to this restaurant i must be spent so much money around 1 million IDR or more (because i order lobster and crab, that’s my favorite food) But seriously, for me this place is worth it. The price is normal/ worth for the food that we get and the view.. Better come here before sunset. Good to come around 3 pm or 4 pm. And they have a fresh crab and some fresh fish. They just kill them when we want to cook it, and we can choose the fish and crab that still alive for us to eat.

4.5 stars for excellent food. We ordered shrimp, calamari, green mussels, kangkung and rice for 2 people. It was a lot, but satisfying. The taste was top, minus 0.5 because I think they put a lot of salt and msg which makes the food taste really good. But after you eat you are always thirsty and have to drink a lot of water. Highlight was the shrimp with spicy honey sauce. 4 stars for the service, the waitress with pink shirt, asked us to change the table we were already sitting at to another table because a couple wanted the table we were sitting at. I asked the waitress if the couple had made a reservation for the table and she said she was there first. Obviously, she wasn't. Because we were there when the other people were done, we are sitting there when the table has not been cleared. That's minus 1 star for unnecessary drama. 4 stars for the other waitress with yellow and red shirts. 3 stars for cleanliness, I know the restaurant staff worked so hard but still it wasn't clean enough. They let people leave empty plates on the table until the customers are done. They should take away the empty dishes directly to make it look clean and neat. The restroom was not clean either. That's minus 2. Overall 4 stars, I am satisfied with the food and its quality and quantity.

Staff in lobby won’t let women in with sandals without heels on. The hostesses don’t welcome you, they just proceed to asking you for an entry payment. Terrible transactional experience as you enter. Finally, the drink served had definitely an overdose of anise and when asked to fix or change it, got told by the GM its no possible. The 2 stars are for the food and the views, would recommend it despite all other aspects.

Lovely place with view. They have 2 sections, restaurant and lounge. We didn’t make reservation, and choose restaurant. We came around 6 pm and get window seat. For lounge they only serve finger food or burger. Minimum purchase was Rp 250,000. But if you already spend in restaurant, you can enter lounge area for free. Service was good Food also good They have promotion buy 1 get 1 free cocktail, I think from 5-7 pm.

Set aside from the lounge in a large conservatively decorated room, the restaurant presents itself as a high-end dining experience. The views are certainly stunning and the staff very attentive. However, the standard of the food and drinks does not meet the expectations set by the setting or the price tag. Surprisingly, the printed menu at the restaurant even had different prices to those stated online. The ingredients used for the meals were not fresh, the portions were unnecessarily skimpy, without any of the usual accompaniments that would cost little but make all the difference. The drinks were far from generous considering the price; the mint leaf on my "Smoke & Ginger" had a brown corner. Instead of respecting international standards, the size of my glass of wine can't have exceeded 75ml. When it arrived it looked as if someone had already drank half. The main course again had faults, including lukewarm truffle-infused mash. The over enthusiastic waitress also wanted to clear away my plate and cutlery while my wife hadn't finished her meal. Overall, we cannot recommend the restaurant for being a somewhat juvenile attempt at providing a luxury culinary experience. The view over the city is what you're really paying for, so if that's what you're looking to enjoy it might be worth choosing somewhere else that doesn't include the disappointment of an over-priced meal.

We sat at the lounge for drinks and small bites. I had expected very small bites but it was actually quite filling and worth the price. I really enjoyed the burnt ends especially. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick. We found the music to be a tad bit too loud that we had to scream just to communicate with each other, and if I were to be nit-picky I would also say that I had expected better lighting in the lounge area. We sat right by the pool and the view of the city was undeniably gorgeous. Overall very satisfied! Would recommend for a fun night out with friends, or a romantic date with your partner.

Amazing views, great food, perfect service, nice wine, no questions about it. But I just want to give different views here. If you’ve been to some of the tallest building in many countries, Jakarta is different. Personally, I think the contrast between poor and wealthy people are so obvious, or I guess that’s how the society is. Having seen from this building makes me think that the government should help the people. Anyway, for me, seeing the views from the top is not only about the lights and other building, it’s about seeing the city as a whole. Hope it helps you to see it.

Great view, last time my friends and i went there and there was live music (band), quite good one. We enjoyed it and we ordered same food actually.. burger 🍔, man!! That was tasty and so juicy. Loved it !!

It is known as one of the best rooftop restaurant/bar in Jakarta. We went there for a nice meal and I think the food are okay. We had to sent back our steak cause it was rare and we asked for medium rare. The pasta we ordered was delicious! Drinks were nice too. Desserts was quite sweet for my taste. Overall, it's an experience to have. The service and ambiance were good!

Check the menu before you book it is expensive but that's what we expected. Nice view from the restaurant and bar, tasty well cooked food and a good selection of drinks. They have tried to be really original with the cocktail selection so none of the usual ones but lots of different bottles I'm sure if you were willing to pay you could order any mix you wanted.

It's a Good place to have a dinner. They have a very good view ( i suggest seat on the Window Side when you eat in the restaurant ) Food very delicious , and the Ambiences also good. But i hope the service can be better. We have wait our Wine for so long, even when our lastest food already come out we still didn't get our wine on the table. ( When the food almost finish they just serve the wine ) Of course i already asking since the first food serve on the table. It takes around 1 hour 15 minutes just to serve the wine. Superb... The best pork menu, the meat so delicious and tender. Definitely my favorite menu here. Others menu also delicious. mango thai salad, cold appetizer and the dessert👍👍. Definitely will be back again.

Had a buffet dinner here. Love the soup burung darah and also the varieties of dim sum. Also love mango salad, it is spicy and yummy. The service is good and all staff know your name even the vallet. The way they pour the tea is amazing 😂

One of the best buffets in town. They serve Good quality top-notch Asian food. My personal favourite are the dim sums, duck and the asian style seafood.

A whole new level of resto. The menu is 'quite' limited but high quality. Please note that it is non halal. I like matcha pudding, choco ice cream, burung dara soup (I think), crispy pork belly, chicken feet dimsum. The service is excellent with calm yet luxury atmosphere. Better to park on P6, If possible.

I love the ambience and the atmosphere they try to create here. During breakfast, you can enjoy your meal while looking out of the window and see a placid man-made waterfall outside. The decoration is superb, full with fine china and antiques.

I was really impressed by the delicious Asian food choices on the buffet. There were a lot of interesting dishes to choose from, including baby octopus and fresh sashimi, and everything tasted great. I was particularly impressed by the dessert selection, which included Kopyor (Macapuno) ice cream that was simply delicious.

Food is available from chicken, beef, to seafood and western food including bread. there are also non-halal food they will provide information to visitors. The seafood is extraordinarily delicious, fresh and sweet (salmon and tuna sushi). The other menus are also varied, but the standard is typical for hotels if we have breakfast, from grilled roast to dishes with various choices of flavors. The cappuccino is also delicious. The room is not big but luxurious with an outside view of the garden and the food corner is not big either. but for the taste it's a champion compared to other 5 star hotels.

We spent our last iftar at this sumptuous, all you can eat restaurant. It was 440.000 ++ per person with plentiful choices. My choices of foods were seen on the pictures. They were all good, but not outstanding. The service and ambience were exemplary. These service and ambience were worth the price, but unfortunately not for the foods. Sorry.

International restaurant in the hotel. I ate the seafood buffet. on sunday lunch The menu is quite diverse. But popular dishes such as Crab Lobster and Oysters will fill up quite slowly when they run out. The ingredients are considered good ; whole seafood Raw fish from the Japanese counter .Excellent staff service

Lavish spread of Asian and Western food. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Loved that I could taste different type of sambal with the keropok.

Tried their red snapper fish for lunch and their buffet breakfast. Impressed with their wife variety of buffet breakfast, must try their dessert, local cakes, mee soto, satay and goreng chicken!

This all-you-can-eat restaurant in a hotel has a superb selection of food, drinks, snacks, and everything you can chew. Some people might say it's expensive, but for me, it's definitely worth the price for the food selection. The restaurant has a wide variety of dishes to choose from, including international cuisine, Indonesian cuisine, and desserts. There is something for everyone, and the food is always fresh and delicious. If you're looking for an all-you-can-eat restaurant with a superb selection of food, drinks, and snacks, I highly recommend this restaurant.

I have lunch here but for too standard for restaurant in 5 star hotel, less menu available, a little variety of dishes served. I am sure they can do more than that.

Love, love, love their breakfast buffet selections! By far the best breakfast I've had compared to any other hotels in Jakarta. My fave picks are: smoked salmon, hash brown, chicken sausage, soup with chicken/beef broth. Even the scrambled eggs are perfection. If only I have more space in my tummy, I would spend 3 hours to slowly digest and savour the taste. I look forward to try their lunch and dinner buffet some time in the future. Many times eat in here just because near office .. happy with the comfy atmosphere, clean and various menu. On ramadhan the ifthar here so crowded, and full booked. Reco : sashimi salmon, peking duck, bakso, sticky manggo rice Not reco : dimsum
