Nice view of the city and the mountains, the way up and down Is separated so it's very convenient. Was a little crowded up the tower when we went but still a nice place to visit while in Innsbruck.

Very quaint and easy to stroll small old town. Right at the end you get to see this golden roof balcony that is distinctive different from the rest of the building. Filled with rich history and apparently is converted to a museum now

A lively place and with the legend about the marriage of a pretty woman 👩 can only be viewed from the outside With its 2,657 gilded copper shingles and rich fresco and relief decoration, the oriel in the middle of Innsbruck's old town was an eye-catcher not only when it was built around 1500. Today, more than 500 years later, the Golden Roof still attracts thousands of visitors every day

A beautiful landmark in Innsbruck, if you are lucky you can often find typical bands playing under it.

Easily one of the most visited sites in the old centre of Innsbruck, at the same time you can see all of the old buildings and medieval architecture of the original parts of the city. The golden roof glitters when the sun is out, however the site with Nordkette in the background reminds me of beautiful mountainous art works. The snow is falling on the mountain and the trucks are busy removing the last of the Christmas market installations. Visit this space and take in the history of the city in the surrounding streets.

The Golden roof really does stand out from the other buildings around it. Even when you walk farther away, you will still be able to admire it. It was quite late in the summer evening so we didn't get to see it shine in the sun. We didn't go inside, there was moderate crowd in front of the building.

Recommend to visit for your road trip around Munich, Austria, South Tyrol. Parking is in the central and you can take a few steps to the old town. Main activities are sightseeing, cafe, lunch or dinner, shopping. Good for groups, couples, family and pet lovers.

Strolled through Altstadt Innsbruck during a visit to Innsbruck in early March 2023. Picturesque town square with many historical landmarks including the Golden Roof, Hofburg Innsbruck, Dom zu St. Jakob and others. Restaurants and stores fill beautiful old style buildings.

Very nice zoo with many alpine animals. Most of them have plenty of space. The playground is also very nice.

Very nice zoo. I can only recommend visiting this place. It's great for all groups of people. Only one little bit of warning, it's on the hill so it's necessary to go up and down 😅 Otherwise for the price it's definitely worth it to go there. There is a possibility to buy some food in restaurant. A very nice playground for kids in the zoo. We had a great time 🤩

Great for all ages. 100m from top to bottom but no steps. Really nice layout. I wish the song birds had a bit more space. Worth the trip! The mergansers were NOT part of the exhibit but were there!

First of all, Not many animals to see like they advertised, high price and part of it is underconstruction, and you can't even see some animals,cuz they are hiding. As an adult, I would recommend to safe your budget for something else. For kids might be interesting!

Impressive. Visitors can look at the animals from different sides. If you don't see the animal from the bottom, be patient and walk all the way up to the top. For example, the wolf. I purchased the Innsbruck card so it's free entry.

The place is so great, above all expectations ! A lot of animal species, one can even go inside few aviaries which makes the zoo pretty interesting and interactive. Spent here more than an hour, would be perfect attraction for families with children You can buy ticket that includes Hungerburgbahn and the zoo, so after visiting the place you can still go higher to the mountain. The zoo is also reachable by city bus

The Zoo is overrated, and was a let down. There are ample parking facilities, but take the first one... If the upper ones are full, it's tough to get back down. We waited in the hot sun in queue to buy tickets - it would have been nice to have a covered shelter there. The signs guiding one around the zoo were faded, and confusing. Some areas of the zoo were closed for repairs, and some animals like the wolves and bears were missing. Yes, it's common to have animals hiding sometimes, but having exhibits open with no animals in them is disappointing. The exhibit with vultures and other raptors, though, was awe inspiring, and the aquarium was fascinating. There are many play areas for small kids, and information booths for the others. My son tried the Spaghetti Bolognese at the Cafe and gave up after a few bites. Couldn't blame him - it tastes like boiled cardboard. In summary, the zoo has its highs and lows, but unfortunately, the lows predominate. I would recommend that the zoo lower the price of admission until they fix up the place. At the moment, it's not worth the price.

This was on the way to the cable car station, you can get off midway and explore. Good place if you are travelling with kids, you can easily spend a couple of hours exploring. The star attraction (for us) being the bear and Lynx enclosures at the start of the zoo. Nice hike up to the different enclosures but we quit midway as it is more fun with big groups or kids and not much to see if you've been to other world zoos. You can skip the line if you have the Innsbruck card.

This is a great place to have a family day out . We come every year and always come out happy. Some areas are better in the summer eg terrarium as some animals sleep throughout the winter . The baumkatze was pacing back and forth and would probably rather have a bigger pen. But overall the enclosures were a good size and natural looking .

Nice place to visit. Especially for the great view on panorama of the city. The object itself is not surprising, but can be valuable for ski jumping fan. At the top there is a restaurant wit beautiful view.

There's a restaurant and observation deck at the top, where you can relax with a drink or a meal and enjoy the stunning views. And for those who are more adventurous, there's even a bobsled track nearby where you can experience the thrill of the sport firsthand. Overall, the Bergisel Ski Jump is an amazing attraction that's not to be missed. Whether you're a ski enthusiast or just looking for a unique experience in Innsbruck, this iconic landmark is sure to impress. Highly recommended!

One of the attractions of Innsbruck is also the venue for the two Winter Olympics. You can take the cable car and there is also a restaurant inside it to enjoy delicious desserts and imagine the heroic appearance of the athletes!!!

The Sky Breakfast above the ski jump was excellent, with huge portions and the continental selection had great variety. The views are stunning - I'd recommend a glass of fizz while taking it all in. Perfect!

The ski jump is currently closed for visitors so you can’t go into the stadium. But you can still see it from far away. And it’s a nice walk up the hill to see the city.

Came on a cloudy day instead of heading into the mountains and was really impressed. The views were still stunning here. There are several levels/place to view from so you can spend a lot of time checking things out. The cafe is really nice even if you just stop for a coffee. Was there on a Saturday morning and there were actually people jumping which was very cool!

It is a little bit of walk around 1.5 km from the city main train station, but the view from top of bergisel ski jump is worth the walk There is also an option to take the bus with innsbruck city card but we preferred walking taking a lot of pictures on the way We noticed one of the oldest Bell making factories on the way

Very interesting ski jumo, with city of Innsbruck under it. On the top you have a nice restaurant and if you are lucky you can see ski jumpers also in the summer.

Really, really cool. I’m not really a follower of winter sports but this place is worth a trip up to. There was a tour group there that got to go on the ski jump itself when someone was jumping down it. Pretty cool experience. Unsure how much a tour costs but it seemed worthwhile. There is a cafe/restaurant at the top of the Zaha Hadid designed tower that is pretty cool, I don’t know expensive it was though.

Wonderful experience. Would recommend to any traveling to Innsbruck. You can walk from old town (if ambitious), taxi or use public transportation. We spent approximately 3 hours touring the grounds. Lots of history explained. Small cafe in upper castle for drinks, coffee and snacks or meal if desired.

I strongly suggest you to go there on foot if you like hiking because you're going through such a nice natural environment as you can see from the pictures. However, don't forget to get something to drink before starting going there because your body will need to be kept hydrated since it's a bit steep and might be tiring for many. But still the view when you reach on the top is breathtaking! It's definitely worth seeing. You can also enjoy the garden area for free. Entrance fee is necessary only for the castle 🏰 So, you can consider going there for a nice weekend picnic.

Don't miss this if you're visiting Innsbruck! We took the C bus from the old town, it didn't take long at all and was simple to find. Beautiful frozen grounds in winter, and breathtaking rooms inside. The exhibit of art and wonders had some of the most interesting treasures I'd ever seen, we really did not expect it. Worth the 12 Euros definitely.

The castle is beautiful and has a lot of historical artefacts including paintings. I would recommend the audio guide for families with small kids. The castle grounds are huge and provide beautiful views of the alps. The grounds are very nice for hiking. Walking down the mountain and across the bridge at the end of the garden is a small cave in the rock which is interesting for kids. There are peacocks in the gardens which were also a great attraction. We arrived at the castle at around 10.00am which was perfect, it was very busy after noon time.

The castle had many pieces of art, and historical pieces throughout the castle, also there were 3 Male, and 2 female peacocks roaming the grounds. That are part of the traditions of royalty in the old times. Plenty of places to take great selfish, also there is a café on the grounds and a cool souvenir shop. Great place to learn about history. All the thousands of placards on each item is in Deutsch and English so you could read on the history of each item. Alot to see in the castle. Have your comfy shoes on.

I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised with what was exhibited here. My favorite part was the Chamber of Art and Wonders, so many interesting pieces! I wish I had planned more time here, if I come back to Innsbruck I will definitely visit again.

Walking around the grounds and touring inside the Schloss itself is a great way to spend a leisurely afternoon or maybe even a little longer. If you have an interest in art and old weaponry, they have it. They also have a lovely little restaurant on site. The Weiner schnitzel and fries were great with a beer.

If you go to Innsbruck, do visit this traditional restaurant and have a great meal. Better to come here at non-peak hours (lunch, dinner) as tourists flock. Place has a great ambience. not really a beer person but their tap beer is good - light and flavorful. Also had Roast pork, goulash soup, and schnitzel. Roast pork was a bit heavy for me, good for sharing 😉

Good Austrian cuisine. Taste-wise recommendable, the service can still be optimized. Although there were hardly any guests in the restaurant, the service took quite a long time to take the order after we have drawn attention to us several times. The food was then served quickly and tasted excellent.

Traditional Austrian/German cuisine. The menu is provided in many languages which is greatly appreciated. The food was good and service fast. Our bottle of still water was almost as much as both of our lunches which is odd for someone from Canada! I would recommend if you are in Innsbruck for the day.

The restaurant is located in a castle-like historic building, with a huge refectory that might have been a ballroom or so before, decorated with paintings, wooden sculptures and and fresco. The waiters are very kind and attentive, bring food and drinks very quickly. You may be placed with a shared table - a bit surprising but at the end it is a great experience. The food is very generous, fresh and typically Tirolean, but you don't want to be on a diet or vegetarian. Different beer we tried are delicious and various. They usually ask you if you want to take a doggy bag, which is eco-friendly!

We stopped here without checking it out on maps but was a great stop. Very good food, friendly staff and fast service. Under 5 min for the food. A nice outdoor terrace with plenty of tables. The tap beer was very good also. Highly recommended.

This is a charming restaurant right as you enter the old town with an authentic and traditional atmosphere that captures the feel of the city and culture. Although I didn't like my dish of 3 kinds of sausages (hot dogs in America and a soft pasty white sausage), the other dishes were good (I had to sample them since I was still hungry). I highly recommend eating here!

Felt like mass touristic place, though the beer is good. Food choices are traditional dishes, good to try ones if you are in the area. The place is quite full in the evening but quick turn around. Service is quick and friendly.

Came here on a work trip and had a great time. Came back a few days later by myself. The staff were very friendly, the beer was lovely, and the Käsespätzle is a must!

I think it’s one of the most popular restaurants in the city :) They have a full selection of Austrian dishes. Me and my bf got pork knuckle and then some Strudel. We were really satisfied with our experience there. The service was pretty prompt despite the fact that that place was really crowded and their portions are crazy :)

First and foremost - make a table reservation before you plan a visit. Service 💁🏼‍♀️Small yet bustling restaurant with great service. The young lady who served our table was attentive, gave good recommendations and was proactive. Drinks ☕🥤I loved the 'Hot ginger' hot drink , it was refreshing and apt for the chilly day. 'Freshly squeezed orange and apple juice' was delicious. Also loved the 'Elder flower syrup soda' Food 🍳🧑‍🍳 English breakfast, spinach omelette and waffles were fresh and scrumptious. Ambiance 🪑was lively, we got high chairs to sit on that I am not a huge fan of. 🚽Clean washrooms available Overall - Highly recommend!! 🙋🏽‍♀️

Really nice, good value breakfast in Innsbruck. Probably the best in the central area. European style breakfast, most dishes come with different pieces like a bread basket with jams, some waffles, and some meat, cheese and and egg. I had some bread with spreads and an omelette. Filled a hole ahead of my busy day up the mountain. Their TV was silently playing adult cartoons like Rick and Morty and Archer. Good allergens information. One thing to bear in mind as a vegetarian is that fish is often considered vegetarian in Europe, so some of the dishes labelled vegetarian here contain tuna.

Had a breakfast there. Waited a long time until my order arrived. The flatware wasn't clean. The coffee quality was inconsistent. My omelet was very delicious though! There's room for improvement here.

The food was really good, they had a variety of breakfast options. They have a really good self made creme cheese, I would totally recommend it. They also have a Menu in English for non german speakers. The service was really good and they served the food pretty fast. It is really convenient because they serve breakfast until 4 pm and the open really early too.

Cozy breakfast joint in Innsbruck. We reserved a table because it has quite small inside seating space. They do have tables outside for good weather days. The place was packed. However, the service was fast. I ordered carrot juice, vegan swiss style spinach toasts, and cappuccino. All three things were fantastic. The sun was peeping through the glass window, so book a window seat around 8AM for some morning sunshine and home style breakfast. Exhaustive omlette menu if you are not vegan!

Really lovely breakfast place in Innsbruck (one of the few open on Sunday). Nice menu and servers, I got the something salty and sweet which was a great balance. Those waffles and the almond topping thing I could eat like 10 of them so good. Also got their fresh juice and coffee - enjoyed it all. Would certainly come back and recommend to others !

The most horrific experience. We were all hungry and reserved a place for brunch 2 days before. We arrived at 11.30 (on time for our reservation) and ended up waiting FOR 2 HOURS!!They weren’t even nice! The portions ended up being very small and we ended up going to dunking doughnuts after. Would not recommend!! 😡 Please do not come here!

The Sachertorte was really nice, tea and hot chocolate were average. Obviously it's a pricey cafe because it serves the original cake. The environment and the furniture were also really nice.

Got the 15EUR set which included cake and hot beverage. Cake was too sweet so it was great to combine with tea to somehow lessen the sweetness.

Show up at 1720, wait 10 minutes for the waitress to show up and tell us the Kitchen closes at 1800, so she can't seat us. If you're willing to pay €70 for an average cake, delivered with terrible service, this is your place. Otherwise, take my word when I say the world-famous Sachertorte is over-hyped. Also, the bathroom is disgusting!

Visited in August 2020. Seemed overrated to us. A nice waitress was working her *ss off, the 'manager' was busy doing nothing. Cake okay, but not worth coming back for. Meets lot of criteria to be a tourist trap.

The original Sache Torte! I found it rich in more ways than one (it's also expensive, get it?). Even though the cafe is pretty, I would still recommend having the cake for takeaway, because the wooden takeaway box is so beautiful it's an awesome souvenir in itself. And once in awhile you can open it and get a whiff of the Sache Torte aroma and get high on the reminiscence.

A very traditional Restaurant and Hotel in the city centre of Innsbruck. The food is really good although I do not suggest it in case you are on a rush and you have to eat fast. This is not at all the concept. Here you come, enjoy some really good food and local wine in a calm atmosphere. The rooms are beautiful and if you are lucky you even get a beautiful view directly in the city centre.

We went for lunch because of the amazing reviews. The food and the place are indeed very good. The price-quality ratio is also ok. Sadly the they that we were there the service was horrible. Waitress just ignored us until we talked to the manager directly. After that service improved. I hope the problem with the service was an isolated event that day as the place is very nice and the food is good.

Strongly recommend as the location is excellent and the staff are wonderful! If you want to stay and experience one of Innsbrucks oldest and finest hotels then stay here! Great views and restaurant as well!

We came for the restaurant and absolutely loved the food and service. The chef is really an expert at ingredient combination and achieving perfect taste balance. We had the deer lasagna, the traditional meatball in broth, and the Tyrol trio. Everything was perfect. Also very friendly staff.

I stayed at the Goldener Adler Hotel on June 9 & 10, 23. It is located in the Old Town section of Innsbruck and offers that quintessential Old World European touch. The room was both comfy and modern. My room was in the rear of the building and was very quiet. Breakfast was very hearty offering both hard and soft boiled eggs but also eggs to order. A variety of cereals, breads, deli meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, yogurts and fruit juices round out the offerings. Coffee, lattes, cappuccinos also offered. The staff, from the Front Desk, Breakfast and Housekeeping were pleasant and helpful. I ate dinner at their restaurant the first night and had Wiener schnitzel, potato salad and a glass of white wine from the Styria region - perfectly light. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the location was just right.

Great staff and cozy room. The hotel is very beautiful inside and out. In a great location fir food and shopping and train station.

We came here due to a 45 minute at another restaurant we wanted to try, we got a seat here straight away. Quick service and nice setting. Food was nice, there are certainly lower budget options around, but the prices are what you would expect for the central location, just under 20 euros for the schnitzel and around 8 euros for a spritz.

Excellent schnitzel and really nice atmosphere. Perfect for some typical Austrian dishes. Not the cheapest place, but the portions are HUGE - my meal could've been three dinners for me. Also pretty cool that they can advertise with "Goethe dined here!".

This hotel is an absolute gem in Innsbruck. The staff was amazing and so friendly and supportive and the rooms and hotel were beautiful; I wish we could have stayed even longer. I highly recommend dining at their restaurant, it was hands-down the best meal we had while in Austria and the atmosphere was amazing. A wonderful place with wonderful people!

Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff each and every encounter. Close to Inn River, Town Square, Golden Roof, trams and buses. Check to see if the hotel has a Welcome Card that gives you free access to all public transportation. The breakfast was plentiful and arranged beautifully. They also offer freshly prepared eggs, in addition to the very generous buffet. They prepare coffees and bring them to your table. We also had fresh squeezed carrot/apple juice. Delicious. The room was confortable and quiet. The entire hotel appears recently updated. It was spotless with attractive decor. We walked with backpacks from the train station and it was an easy walk. With the Welcome Card. we can use the tram to get back to the station. I’m so pleased we chose to stay here.

Incredible boutique property in a prime location in Innsbruck. We were taken care of so well & felt like family. The breakfast was out of this world delicious as well as dinner in their beautiful restaurant. We will be back… thank you, Monica for your exceptional service.

Cool location, super friendly service. We only wanted something small to eat and decided on a starter and a dessert. Both portions were way too big for my taste. The selection of cheese and dried meat didn't impress me personally, the Kaiserschmarrn was much better. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Outstanding - cherished by locals and visitors alike! Gröstl is the traditional dish to eat here - schnitzel or rostbraten absolutely amazing. Very fair prices for the quality and genuine interior with a modern touch.

Cosy restaurant, Old meets modern kind of style and more importantly amazing food, high quality ingredients. Located in the heart of the city. I've been here 2 times and plan to come again next time I'm in Innsbruck again.

I can't understand the transparent shower in the middle of the room it's uncomfortable but I'm sure it's a great idea for some people. I think they could do tinted windows. Please forgive me for my remark. but otherwise it is a wonderful hotel with a wonderful location and very polite staff. the hotel does not have parking for cars due to the location but thanks to them I got a discount on the city parking at a distance of 150 m

Worst service I've seen in my life. The girl with dark long hair took our order, asked me two times what I wanted and never came with my dish. My bf was eating in front of me while I was waiting for a dish that never came. She also didn't apologies for it.

We had a lovely family meal here. The trout was amazing and so was the Austrian wine we had with it, Fritsch.

We booked last-minute after a flight cancellation. The owner could not help enough in finding us a cot and helping us arrange dinner after arriving late. I only wish we had a chance to stay longer as the room was wonderful, the bed cosy and the restaurants looked very inviting!

Food was good but waitress who initially served me was unfriendly. Waiter I paid with was friendly though. Read other reviews and clearly not rectifying the unfriendly staff situation. Shame. Food only tastes half as good if service is unfriendly. Maybe they don't care about Google reviews. Also don't seem to care about getting any tip. Unfriendly service equals no tip and bad reviews. Some restaurants clearly don't get it.

We ate there for dinner. I would’ve rated it with a better score if they didn’t mess my order. I ordered the Fish with baked potatoes (that’s the name of the dish, not an option) but they served me shrimps instead of the fish (?) without notifying me. I’m intolerant to sea food. So, after my first bite, realizing what I just swallowed, I asked to change it. They served me a new plate, and I think they used some freshly baked potatoes, mixed with some of my former plate. Not very professional in my opinion. Apart from that incident, the flammenkuch was great, and the drinks too.
