I am very happy to see this place, it was a beautiful lot of shops. It gives us a vibe of the extravaganza every moment. I love the food and the ambiance in this place. Also, this is a Unesco heritage site they try to preserve the town's ancient beauty. Boating in the river was really fun. Overall a must visit place in our lifetime The architecture and ambience are magnificent. The whole place is vibrant with lots of activities. It is colourful, and lively.

It was pretty cool to walk around especially at night when it was all lit up and beautiful. There are many shops, restaurants and bars. We did buy some local souvenirs, had some happy hour drinks and took a lantern boat tour. It's a great place to relax and have a drink and people watch. We did not encounter any problems and everyone was friendly and not too pushy.

Just beautiful! A great street food experience as well as shopping for gifts and other trinkets to remind you of your time in Hoi An. Some beautiful art work, leather goods (custom made) and clothes made to measure. Don't be afraid to haggle. Bring your camera and enjoy it in the evening when it's at its most beautiful.

We only had 2 days in Hoi An so, we came out on a beautiful evening, around 5:30pm when the vendors are setting up for the evening. We spent over 3 hours roaming and eating and people watching in that area, strolling through the alleys, crossing the bridge and watching tourists bargaining and getting ripped off! Certainly filled with entertainment and good times! The alleys have many nice shops and food can be found on every corner at affordable prices. Bring plenty of cash! The boats are jam packed so, go early to avoid the long lines. They also have larger boats that would take you out for Sunset cruises. Beautiful place to watch the sun set. The lanterns do light up the river in the night and the views are breathtakingly beautiful in the evening. 3 hours do pass very quickly when you take your time to stroll through this amazing historic town.

Beautiful scenery with all the lights and lanterns! Not for the faint-hearted if you don't like crowds. Take a boat trip in the canal (best at night) to see all the different coloured lanterns. Lots of places to eat and drink. The markets generally sell the same items as expected, up to you to find the best prices. A variety of street food available at your own peril.

It was super crowded and tons of smokers. I loved the view, but overall people there are really not super kind, they just want your business and then they do not care about you. They are always pushing you to take a boat ride or to buy a tailored suit. But good food there, nice place to drink outside, good for young people ^^

There's nothing quite like this! We're from the US and can't think of any place we've visited in the US that compares - the colors, sounds, tastes, and smells are so lively and wonderful! The best way to enjoy it is by walking at your own pace turning up and down the streets and stopping in to enjoy things you may typically not splurge on (smoky ice cream, banana crepes, rolled ice cream, temporary tattoos, etc..) and be sure to pick up some souvenirs along the way too 💕😊

A really good experience walking around the night market. Plenty to look at. Loads of food and drink stalls and bars to visit. The pictures really don't do the lanterns justice, it's just awesome to see the boats and lanterns floating down the river. You can light your own one if you wish.

Night market is close to river and overall it was really beautiful. But the prices were too expensive , you have to bargain hard. Luckily we went to Mr. Roll stall no 36. He was such a gentleman. He gave us very very good price and we bought lot of good items from him. ( remember you still have to bargain).

Beautiful evening here, even it's raining. You may buy the transparent umbrella from the locals (only 50.000 dong) & have beautiful photos with it. Please don't buy the raincoat, as my guide said it will be very hot inside & also it won't look good. 🤪 Nice if you ordered the coffee from Chu An cafe, enjoy the coffee & watching people pass by. You may lucky to snap candid photos of people around.

Hoi An gets even prettier when the sun settles, it is already a beautiful city at day with some really nice streets, but when the night arrives it gets better because of the many pretty lanterns getting lighted on land and on water. Definitely worth a visit, but also a lot of tourists here.

What was a traditional market, has been morphed into one designed to appeal to tourists. It's worth a visit though, as the sun sets everything lights up, the boats carry colourful lanterns, and tourists release candle lit lanterns into the water. It's very picturesque, and you will find plenty of instagrammers to prove it. I suggest turning up an hour or so before sunset, give yourself time to wander the markets. After sunset you can find yourself somewhere to eat, and a lot of the more traditional stalls close up.

Beautiful beach and white sands. It's very chilly to spend a relaxing afternoon on this beach. There are many visitors but it's not overly crowded. There are also many restaurants along the beach and the food is delicious too.

Lovely warm water, recommended come in morning or noon rather than late afternoon. Good to negotiate if you are regular 😉 customer will get free of charge for each chairs even you don't order food.

Great beach. You can go several meters into the water standing. Sometimes the waves can be a bit rough but usually you can swim pretty easy. If you want to avoid larger crowds of people you can just walk down the beach and find a good place for yourself.

A really nice beach. Can't believe how warm the water is. Plenty of places to buy food and drink from aswell. If you want an ice cream walk down the road about 3 minutes and you'll come to a proper ice cream shop that does waffle cones for 20k and 2 scoops of a flavour for another 20k. Much better than 30k ice cream on the beach front. Note the picture is already half eaten :) Sunbeds are available, but you are better off buying a cocktail and getting the sunbed for nothing 👍

Very nice beach. Much more relaxed than many other beaches. Needs a bit of a cleanup in some places (take your garbage with you!) and could use a few more water activities, but we were also there right after they reopened after Covid.

It is a nice beach but with a fair bit going on. You can relax in a deck chair, hire a boogie board, get food or a drink. The beach is good rather than great but is long and clean. It was a good relaxing experience to explore and good for people watching too. Worth a visit if in Hoi An

The place is so beautiful. The beach is clean and the water is blue. You can lie down on the chairs and watch the sea or go and take a dip in the water. We stayed back to watch the sunset and it was one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever witnessed. The sky turned into beautiful colours 🥹 you can find many cafés near this beach so make sure you check them out. Don’t miss this beach on your trip to Hoi An. 🌷

Lovely beach with plenty of bars/restaurants to get a drink or a bite to eat. We cycled there few times from our hotel. Roads are cyclists friendly, takes 20 min to get there. Highly recommend 👍🏻

Nice, clean beach with umbrellas available to rent. I think we may have paid 100k each, but it was hot, they were comfortable and the lady wasn't pushy. The water was cool and refreshing and it wasn't too busy. Plenty of cafes and restaurants around, and the ladies will bring you drinks.

Nice beach with free scooter parking at the entrance, be careful of those ladies in straw hats trying to wave you down to park in their cafes. The restaurant owners will try to charge you $50k vnd to use the beach chairs however the beach is very nice with plenty of shops and stalls around.

Great location to visit now, because it looks like it could get swollowed up by high rise development in the next decade. Currently small rustic restaurants and cafes right on the waterfront and plenty of hostel/ homestays to stay at. Stayed 6 days all up, and would definitely stay again, if it doesn't get over developed.

Being from Western Australia I’m a brat when it comes to beaches. My experiences with SE Asian beaches did not give me a good impression of beaches outside of WA and I was reluctant to spend the morning sitting on a deck chair staring at the water. My partner however convinced me to go as she had been there before and she assured me that it’s a good beach.. and indeed it was. The water was cool, clear and refreshing and being a 35C day there was not a better place to be. The hotel pool was warm and full of people but here, you have views which are picturesque to say the least, with a huge selection of beachside bars to choose from. What I like about this beach is that it’s not polluted and teaming with motorised watercraft. It’s peaceful, tranquil and you can order a cocktail, beer or coffee to sit and catch some sun then dive into the cool water of the sea. Highly recommended to spend the morning/afternoon/evening especially if your hotel runs a shuttle bus to the beach. I believe they have happy hour and live music in the evening as well.

Really good beach to relax and take a break. It was clean and not too crowded. There were no showers available but it was still a great experience. If you have to park a scooter or bike, a guy will charge you 5k for the "service". Do not pay more than that.

This house was built in 1741 and reflects the traditional tube style house. These Vietnamese merchants were wealthy and had goods come from all over Asia, and it shows. The house reflects the mixing of cultures and international trade that went on in Hoi An centuries ago.

18th century merchant's house in very good condition. Not big but full of original features and furniture. Think there is a guide available but I was happy to just look at the lovely carved wood details and to see just how open air the lifestyle here is (surprising for a North European!) Open courtyard in the middle of the building let's the light flood in and marks on the walls show where the water floods in as well.

we visited in mid November and the weather was pleasant. the beach was deserted, but it was mesmerizing to enjoy the seclusion. perfect for romantic beach-side walks. no restaurants on or around the beach. free parking is available just besides the beach.

The beach is only held together with breakwaters. This is not really a beach.

Beautiful beach, still not invaded by mass tourism like you can see in Thailand. Sea is very wavy, not turquoise blue, if you swimm don't go too far from the shore. I love this place and whole area, very relaxed, just go little bit more from the place where is the main toad to Hoi An. As you can see on that particular place are tones big sand bags, I guess some kind of protection from tsunami wave. So when you reach it, go left, and with bicycle you need additional 10minutes to reach Oppio bar where is good long sandy beach without those bags.

Nice place to visit, admission is 35K and parking is 50K, so I suggest you park before you arrive, in case you are driving!!! There are many locals who show you their skills and offer to try their craft, of course they expect you to buy something from their store after the experience! At the end of your "village tour" you will receive a free ceramic whistle in the shape of an animal! I got a cute turtle ;)

This is a cute morning activity if you want to get out of Hoi An without going too far. It's mostly for tourists, but it is interesting to walk around and chat with the families that make their living from pottery. there's a paid attraction, but it's just a park with a bunch of pottery in different shapes. I didn't go in the paid part and didn't feel like I missed out. Most shops will tell you that you can make a piece for free (key word being make and not take).

A small pottery village made up of many individual households all offering you to take part in making a piece of pottery. You will be expected to either buy what you made or something from their shop. Prices are relatively cheap. A good experience which you should allow upto 2 hours to walk all around the village.

Very pretty pottery village. The artists in their workshops are very welcoming, and they will gladly share some impromptu ceramics lessons. The location next to the river is also particularly beautiful.

This is a fantastic experience You buy tickets at the ticket booth we paid 105k for two adults and two kids. They give you tickets that you can redeem for a little trinket at any shop. I would suggest going to the water and checking out the shops there first. They will let you try making poetry and show you some tricks. If you want you can buy something from their shop but not required. One shop will bake the bowl you make and let you paint it. For 30k vnd But be careful. They use air fryers for baking them, and they are not cured. Once you get back to your hotel, let them sit in the sun.

Much more entertaining than we expected. Traditional village with many shops making and selling pottery. With the ticket you get to make a piece of pottery to take home. There are a lot of demonstrations and fun to wander around the different alleys and see what the different business are making. There is a lot of talented pottery makers here. Fun activity for families as well. Everyone was super friendly and not that pushy to buy. Most shops have similar offerings.

The ticket price is 50k, which is a bit overpriced compared to what this place offers to visitors. However, they provided us with the experience to make terracotta pots, the price is 30k/person

We really enjoyed the pottery village and seeing how the various pots and vases are made. We also saw some really cute puppies that made my day. With the entrance ticket you get a free souvenir clay whistle that you can pick up from various places around the village, so take a look first and then make your choice.

Affordable souvenirs and a nice day out. Come early or later to avoid the mid day rush. You will be invited at a number of shops to make a clay pot for free in exchange for purchasing a local souvenir. Take your time and see all of the shops and admire the local talent.

Very cheap ticket price, with the ability to exchange for items that were handmade. My sister and I went there and we got a bunch of gifts in return. A nice morning visit and activity if you want to run away from the crowd in the Hoi An's old quarter.

Taste pretty good but can be better if the roast pork skin is more crispy. Even though it may seem to be a queue outside, there is also space inside where you can sit and order (without having to queue). The spicy level can be adjusted to your preference, so remember to inform the waiter/waitress!

Awesome Banh Mi!! In our three day stay at Hoi An last week, we dined in twice. The Banh Mi was the best I've had in my life: the baguette was fresh and crunchy and the fillings and sauces made a delicious combination! Queues are short at this period so go and try, and understand why this place is so raved about by many!

It's a very popular place, not just for tourists but also for locals. I definitely understand why people love it since the Bánh Mì is amazing! Also very cool to see how many people are preparing the breads, super cool atmosphere. The only weird part is the passport pictures on the table, don't really understand how that started 😆

Lines were long and we got stalled because our sandwich maker decided to pick up the phone and take another order. We waited like 10 minutes before we slid to another lady. I forgot what I ordered because there was a long list of banh mis and the lines were pretty long and I kept wavering between a five or thirteen. Whatever I got tasted delicious - it was roast pork with the perfect amount of crunch on the skin. It was paired with pate and some type of minced meat and scallion sauce. It was the best one out of the four we ordered. The fresh coconuts were also refreshing

'Number 9!!' It jumped out my mouth in a spur of the moment decision when my turn came round (surprisingly quickly). It was technically my first banh mi, even if the concept isn't so unfamiliar... Except for the ostrich part. (Peppery! Decidedly not like chicken.) It was great but I think if I was recommending it to someone else I'd say go for no.3 (mixed). I mainly say that after asking some Vietnamese folks what they would have picked. But it was honestly delicious - succulent, flavoursome meat in a satisfyingly crunchy (but also soft) baguette. Served quickly and efficiently. Wide range of options (clearly!!) and for a very fair price given their popularity. Pretty bustly though as the million and one reviews this place has might suggest and not the most relaxing of settings but it's an experience.

Had one of the best Bánh Mi of my journey through Vietnam here. Even took my time to get a second one. The local people are getting in line for the delicious bánh mi. You can also sit inside and see how your dinner is being made. Saw 5 whole baskets of bread being brought in while waiting for my food. Really cool to see everything freshly baked/prepared coming by us. Can really recommend the BBQ pork and ostrich Bánh Mi. If you have the opportunity get in line!

Worth the hype. To date, this is the tastiest Banh Mi I have had in all of Vietnam. I had the tofu avocado as the vegetarian option and ended up eating here three times during my stay in Hoi An. There is also plenty of seating options inside if you prefer to avoid the lines outside.

The sandwiches were great, quite fast for the first round as well. The prices are also really good and you can also order for takeaway. The ostrich was interesting, the mixed was also really good along with the BBQ. The line might be longer some times but it’s fast.

First off, all the Báhn Mì in Hoi An is superior to elsewhere, like Pizza in Naples or Brisket in Austin, it's just a fact. This however was the best one I've had in Vietnam and I've had quite a few. The bread is perfect, everything mixes splendidly, and I have no notes. Some have said that it's gone downhill since Bourdain blew them up and I was never here before so I can't say that's not the case, but it would be hard to imagine how much better it could be. If in my remaining time in Vietnam I find another one even 75% as good as this, I will be very happy.

Excellent Bahn Mi sandwiches. Bread is crispy and fillings are flavourful. Popular for a reason. There are great vegetarian options too. Had the papaya salad too and it was quite good. The service is extremely quick and efficient. Plenty of seating inside even if there is a queue outside. Would recommend!

Decent Banh Mi but it definitely wasn’t the best and kinda didn’t live up to the hype. In my opinion the bread wasn’t very fresh/was abit hard. Definitely worth checking out regardless but you might want to lower your expectations if you’ve had really good Banh Mi before.

92 Station Coffee 🏠 One of the cafés has a view of Hoi An from the 4th floor. You can visit early morning or a cool afternoon. The 3rd and 4th floors will be inspired by the sun. The 1st and 2nd are cooler. ☕️ The menu has quite a lot of options, all kinds of drinks, food & cocktails. But nothing is very special. The drinks served in plastic cups are also not very sympathetic in this nostalgic space. 💸 Iced milk coffee 45,000 VND (~ 2 dollars) 👱🏻‍♂️👱🏻‍♀️ I really don't sympathize with the male staff in the morning. Hopefully, because of the hot weather, you are a bit cramped :))) 🛵 Because the shop is located in the old town, you can parking outside then walking to here

This place has nice view. There are many cute corner in the rooftop but it is quite crowded at daytime. However, it is chill at night time. Staffs are extremely friendly. They have various decorations in their bulding.

One of the best sanwdiches I have had in my life! We ordered the chicken sandwich (mildly spicy although it felt almost no spicy at all) and it was delicious. The bread was of high quality (I live in France so have a high standard when it comes to bread!), the vegetables fresh and the chicken yummy! The food was so good that we ordered two sandwiches per person. Highly recommended! The staff was very friendly too.

Order for the Mixed Banh Mi came really quick. Didn't have to wait long. Bread was crispy and packed with a generous serving of filling. Would definitely come back again to try others.

It's a small place, but they make very good bahn mi. The bread is wonderful, and they give you plenty of meat and veggies in the middle. The fruit juice blends are also very good. If you're worried about the spice level, just order not spicy and then put a little chili sauce on your sandwich from the bowl on the table to see how you like it.

I enjoyed the music of baguette when I bite it. I enjoyed the first look chaos in the restaurant which were an extremely optimized manufacturing method of filled baguette creation. The results is magical. I liked the chicken, BBQ, pork, mixed baguettes. Now, I am hungry again. And the price is low. Try it!

The banh mi from the Banh Mi Queen was an absolute delight! Uniquely tasty and incredibly crispy, packed a lot of flavour into every bite. And to wash it down, their coconut coffee was equally refreshing and delicious.

Clean place. The bread is really good, crisp outside but soft inside. And it's easy to bite. I prefer to have more herbs inside but it's still great anyway. The red chili sauce is really good.👍

The Banh Mi has a combination of a crispy exterior and chewy interior texture. The pork is tender and well marinated. Good if they can have extra veggies.

One of the most delicious Banh My I have tasted. Alot more meaty than others, and with a minced pate rather than smooth like you normally find. The addition of egg made it almost breakfasty which I enjoyed. And the little old owner sitting in his chair ordering the staff around was adorable!

Went for bahn mi’s after reading all the positive reviews. We ordered the vegetarian, bbq pork and chicken. All were 10/10 delicious and very cheap. Highly recommend. Line was very long for take away but they had lots of inside seating available so got served quickly.

I now understand why it claims to be the “Banh Mi Queen”, the stall truly deserves the title. The baguette is fresh and aromatic, crispy on the outside and yet soft inside. We ordered the mildly spicy type and the combination of other sauces make the overall tastiness of the banh mi to another level. Staff is friendly and table turnover is fast, not difficult to get a table for a sit down quick and inexpensive snacks.

The best bánh mì in Vietnammmmm in my heart and belly 🥹 Every time I visit Hoi An, I definitely have to eat banh mi at Madame Khanh. It absolutely outranks the famous banh mi Phuong. Every ingredient is well cooked, seasoned and combines together with the perfect ratio. Then the homemade sauce and signature chili paste are the final touch for this heavenly dish. 10 out 10

Madam Khanh has the best banh mi hands down. I tried banh mi phuong and it doesn’t match up to Madam Khanh. I loved her banh mi so much I ordered it twice on my trip because… it’s too hot LOL. Grabfood is the way to go :P Her banh menu mixed has eggs and it’s so yummyyyyy I can’t get enough!!! Also the price point is so affordable for such an amazing sandwich.

I think this may be the best Banh Mi I’ve had in Vietnam so far. It was suggested to me by one of the local ladies who works at my hostel. I tried the chicken one and the pork and my friend had the vego one and they were all spectacular. Went back 3 times. 🤩

We had skipped lunch so came in hungry, and were very glad for that. We wanted good Vietnamese food, and were not disappointed. We had two appetizers - mango beef salad and the very best fried spring rolls we’ve had since arriving a week ago (and trying them many places). We chose chicken with lemongrass and chilies which was very flavourful and tender. We also had spicy shrimp, which let the heat be felt (as we’d hoped) but not in a way that overwhelmed the dish. To drink we had Far East IPA beers and a Hello Vietnam cocktail. Then as a surprise we were served a small plate of watermelon. Can recommend highly.

Absolutely delicious! If you miss western food, this is the place to go. We had a steak with chips and salad and the best pepper sauce I've ever had. Vicki was an absolute pleasure to talk to and her own recipe "Hello Hoi An" cocktail was just a wow! Loved this restaurant and highly recommend to everyone. Thank you, Vicki

We had an amazing experience. Vicky was a beautiful host and made our experience more enjoyable. We were explained the dishes and how they were meant to be eaten, which was really helpful the clam with lemongrass was amazing....😊 So we're the other dishes too... They gave us complimentary fruits at the end as well.. the drinks were good too... nice ambience too, with a homely feel...

A wonderful local restaurant with authentic cuisine. The rather millennial look of the place belies the fabulous food! The young owner is super friendly. We enjoyed fried wontons, a range of salads, pork skewers and other delicacies. The owner made us fresh springs rolls that weren’t on the menu on request. The hot pot on neighboring tables looked awesome, something to try. You have to have some tolerance for 80s music ;-)

This is one of our favourite bah mi places in Hoi An 😍. The phi special with the handmade chilli is incredible. We loved the generous & fresh delicious produce so much so that we ate here several times during our stay. Danny was also a charming lunch companion too 🤣

The Phi special is unlike any bahn mi I’ve ever had. The bread is perfectly delightful, the perfect combination of crust and substance. It was warmed inside a coal grill to be perfectly balanced. The sauce makes it very juicy and easy to eat and the hint of fresh herbs rounds out the taste. The avocado really only makes everything more elevated and light. Would absolute recommend this place. We’ve been here at 16 in the afternoon and it’s not busy at all. Also they have a cute pet that’s some form of quirky looking dog. He’s very precious.

I visited on a Tuesday at about 11:30. There was only one other couple there and they were already eating so we got served right away. No line and no wait! I ordered the traditional and the chicken plus a small water for about $2. The traditional with spicy sauce was my favorite.

Best banh mi ever. Seriously. I’ve had the Phi Special spicy version and my tastebuds are still awestruck. Plus, the young lady who makes the sandwiches is super nice. Just go there.

Best banh mi in the world! Banh mi 25 in hanoi doesn’t even come CLOSE to the flavor and quality you’ll find here. The crispy bread, the special hot sauce, the fresh avocado, wow! Truly a memorable meal. I’ll be back!

Best bahn mi we’ve had in Hoi An - it’s a cosy, family-run shop which makes their own special chilli sauce which takes months to make. Makes their sandwiches extra special. We h ad a lovely egg, cheese and avocado bahn mi (sandwich). Shop is recommended by tripadvisor - visited by both locals and tourists Cosy shop had pet birds humming and also a pet iguana named Danny 😄

This place is awesome! 15k-40k VND, (about $0.68-$1.76 USD) for fantastic Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) Despite that there was all foreigner customers here, it is a local restaurant, simple tables, menu in English, and fast service! I highly recommend it, especially the chicken with avocado for 30k. In Hoi An, this is a must. Vegetarian option available, as well.

Best banh mi ive had in all of vietnam so far! So fresh, and they homemade their chili sauce and slow roast their pork. Also great fresh vegetarian options! I would definitely come back. Very affordable, about $1 for each sandwich.. and they are so honest, I accidentally overpaid and they were honest and gave me the change. Love this place

Food was good and quickly served. Looking at all the reviews I expected the restaurant to be bigger. None the less, I had a great Banh Mi .
