Beautiful in every area you walk. Shows how the Muslims architecture was there most advanced at the time. Detailed writings carved beautifully throughout the palace. The gardens were amazing to walk through and the fountains were very nice with water running through the marble floors which was like cooled floors! I would go there again and I'm sure to see new things.

Truly beautiful with water gardens, fountains, courtyards, mosaics and stunning architecture. Incredibly well preserved and accessible albeit located on a hill so quite physically challenging for those with disabilities. parking is locally available and close to the site and the guided tours are well worth considering as there is so much history. Takes a minimum of 3-4 hours to enjoy fully so plan a full day and enjoy some lunch break in-between. Mid summer can be very hot and there is limited shade so be sure to use sunblock and consider taking a parasol.

Not only is this one of the most beautiful human made structures I have ever seen. It is also a remarkable heritage that holds century old stories through several civilizations. I personally loved the architectural richness and the visual representations representations and ancient (sacred geometry like) patterns sculpted in the walls. Book your tickets in advance for a chance to visit this place that is just out of this world! It may feel a bit busy in some areas, so if you don’t like crowds, try to go early in the morning.

I'm surprised that anyone would have anything negative to say about this place. Yes, you have to reserve your tickets ahead of time and yes they will check your ticket at several checkpoints throughout the visit, but this place is absolutely MAJESTIC. It is one of the most beautiful displays of art and architecture I have ever seen. The structure and art are pristinely kept and the visit is very organized. I recommend reading about it before your visit you can truly understand the value of this building and everything about it. Rich in history, rich in details, rich in everything. Don't miss it. Reserve your tickets at least one month in advance, but you can do it way ahead of that. What a beautiful experience!

We booked our tickets 3 months in advance as the visits are limited, and only visits with a tour guide are allowed. It's a fascinating, magical place, full of history, considered one of the most famous monuments of Islamic architecture and one of the best-preserved palaces in the historic Islamic world, in addition to containing notable examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture. It’s good to see but does it worth all the trouble to get in, I’m not sure. Our tour guide was funny and enthusiastic, yet he persisted in naming it the most beautiful spot on earth, revealing at the end that he didn't see elsewhere.

A Place Of Pure History It's Like Going Back In Time. You Need A Good Entire Day To Do All The Palaces. Highly Recommended To Do All Of The Palaces. Buy tickets in advance also don't forget you must bring your passport as evidence to get in.

Immense. I have no idea why the place I’d named Generalife. Sounds like a crackpot pill being sold my a Trump pilot fish on Fox News in America. I think it refers to the grounds of Alhambra. I enjoyed the grounds more than the castles and museums. I spend summers riding through Europe on motorcycles and I’ve overdosed on castles and museums. I love the traveling and the natural beauty. The grounds are pretty nice. Formal. It would be nicer if they would identify the more spectacular plantings. In Spanish, English, and the proper botanical Latin. When I see places like this I become uncomfortably and acutely aware that all great empires were built on slave labor. It all winds up in and as museums.

IMPORTANT: There are quite a few checks for passport and your ticket in this area. Make sure to bring these with you or else they’ll deny you entrance. Would highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance. A beautiful garden amongst the old fortresses and walls. I would advise to visit these areas in the earlier parts of the day, ideally before noon as that’s when the rush begins to settle in. I had a great time with my family and this part of the tour took about an hour to complete with lots of photography spots along the way.

Nice gardens but it is too crowded to enjoy, even with drizzle on the day packed with people trying to all get the same picture and just standing still in entrance ways to get their pictures. Least favourite part of the Alhambra.

This shouldn't be missed if you are visiting the Alhambra in Granada! This gorgeous buildimg and gardens are a perfect destination to learn about the Islamic past of southern Spain. If you can visit in the spring, the gardens are spectacular!

Light and airy and sitting on top of a hill, this beautiful palace has some of the most memorable gardens that I've seen anywhere. Elegantly understated, with simple but gorgeous water fountains and water running literally all over the place, this summer palace overlooks the older palaces of Alhambra, the Albaicin neighborhood and the valley beyond. The perspectives are to die for. No matter in which direction you look, there will be an infinite number of beautiful shots waiting for you. While the Nasrid Palaces will impress you with architecture, this palace's gardens are its main attraction. Choose a beautiful sunny day. Try to get there early in the morning - it opens at 8:30 - to avoid the huge crowds, especially during the summer.

Free entrance, I recommend going there separate from Alhambra or after all palaces with the paid entrance. In March there weren't too many plants so as a garden it wasn't impressive. It does have a few nice views over the city but I'm glad I didn't have to pay for entrance, expected much more from it.

There are a couple of coffins here. I suppose it was Isabel la Catolica, Ferdinand, and their kids(?) The building is big and there are many paintings, and sculptures, as well as rope, cape, and crown and everything revolves around Isabel and the royal family of Spain from back then. Nice place to visit but you have to be respectful and quiet during your visit!

Incredibly beautiful place. The free phone audioguide (via an app downloaded by the front desk via the free Wifi) is incredibly detailed and helpful to understand the history and sites. Whilst photos are not allowed- with no clear explanation why- I snuck some. Dinging one star for the no photo policy. I bought a ticket under the multipass option: this, the cathedral, two monasteries, for €17.

Here you can find masterpieces of the Prado Museum and Dutch masters of painting, an amazing gilded iconostasis and marble tombs of Spanish Kings and Queens. Magical place

Fabulous and fascinating. The history is rich, and the art and sculptures are stunning. The architecture makes you wonder how this could have been built when it was. One can easily spend a couple of hours here and the entrance fee is modest. Even our teenage kids were mesmerized by the Royal Chapel. An absolute “must-see” when in Granada. Note that it is very difficult to find parking downtown Granada, so avoid taking the car and use the convenient tourist buses instead.

Absolutely beautiful and something you won’t want to miss. The intricacy of detail involved in carving the marble was truly impressive. This experience inspired me to learn more about the reign of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. Oh, be prepared to be stopped by different women handing out sage and telling your fortune at every corner around this chapel!

Very nice visit to this Chapel, with a brilliant little museum at the end. Great value, and a great way to have a little break from the heat in the city Centre. No photos allpwed inside, but they have a lovely little gift shop at the end for post cards and souvenirs.

Art, artifacts, history, religion and culture - you get it all here. It was slightly crowded when I went but it might be because it's a public holiday today (Assumption of Mary). Note that no photos allowed and in many ways, it is lovely not to have to dodge people taking photos and we can all just enjoy what's around us. It doesn't take more than 15 minutes unless you listen attentively to the audio guide.

Enormous science park, very educational for all age groups, you can spend the whole day here with family friends. They have paid shows about birds and a biosphere with sea and land animals. A lot of different outdoor sections as well for kids to interact with installations , enjoy and learn

A wonderful visit with shout outs for the Planetarium and the Bio world. So much to see that you probably need at least five hours. Fair price and lots of interesting rooms though the massive room filled with energy and global warming info is so boring. Lots of kids which is great and one particularly nasty family who kept being allowed to push in and granny even answered her phone during the visit to the universe in the planetarium.

This is a fantastic place! My wife and I set out to go to the biodome and ended up spending another 2+ hours perusing other displays including the mariposerio, and the human body, energy transition, and wild animal exhibits. All are very well constructed. One could easily spend a whole day at the science park. If kids whose parents let them behave as if they're at a playground when they're actually at a museum bother you, you might consider going on a weekday.

This place will blow your mind The science park/museum of Granada was a great experience. Theirs plenty of exhibits and interactive experiments you can do that will keep you entertained and wanting to see and learn more. Robots, biology and medicine, physics, astronomy, and animals. Even if you are not too interested in science, the biodome offers a fun visual experience of seeing exotic animals up close. From sharks, jellyfish, alligators, snakes, monkeys and birds. Outside of the main museum and into the park offers more interactive thing you can do (like activities with water and about energy) and a few other buildings you can enter; for example, the planetarium or the observatory. The staff are nice and friendly and (the ones I have spoke with) were able to speak English to various degrees of fluency If you are planning a trip here, give yourself plenty of time if you want to experience the whole museum. I would say atleast 3+hrs as this place is massive with all the things to see, read, watch, and do in the exhibits and outside the building. But if you are making a quick stop to see only one exhibit, I would recommend the biodome as it offers a unique, cool, close up experience with exotic animals. Note: observation tower was closed during my visit (February 2022)

What a great place to visit! We ended up there on a Sunday when the museum closes earlier and that's the only complaint we had - the time was not enough. I was impressed by the part dedicated to safety, definitely something I haven't seen anywhere else. It's a great place for children, but also for adults, you can wander for hours. The biodome is a beautiful thing to visit, even though it's small, it's basically a closed zoo.

Fun with learning for both adults and kids. Loved how the human body is explained. My young son loved the Animals. Older kids had fun in the space part including Astronaut suits and food

Wonderful visit! The attractions were wonderful, with most of the attractions being written in English alongside Spanish. The staff were very helpful and gave advice on where to go first. The museum was definitely a FULL DAY activity (I spent 6 hrs at the museum). A couple things to keep in mind before coming: 1. The planetarium is only available in Spanish 2. The cost that is mentioned on google maps (€2.5) is only for the planetarium. The tickets for each area (museum, biodome, and planetarium) are all separate. To go to all sections it is €13.50 as of now 3. There are lockers that cost €1 but you get the coin back. Very helpful if your a tourist and your carrying a lot Overall, this place was a wonderful tourist spot and wasn’t to busy so it was a good experience!

This park contains a lot different kind of of exhibits, some are pop-ups, some always there. Robotics 2.0 was great, very interesting. Biopark is always a hit with the fish, sharks, birds and others. Recommend to visit and the price is very good.

Definitely a place worth visiting. Their bio domo or a quasi indoor zoo is the highlight. Liked the astronomy section a little and the animal Kingdom a bit. Then the accident and the AI section looks quite stretched. Don’t opt for planetarium coz it’s all in Spanish. English not available. Good if you are interested in animals and science. Else skip.

Communal dining experience! Share benches with strangers as you dine together with the locals. Or you can choose to stand at the bar if you want. You get small portion of tapas whenever you order a drink in Granada. You can also order normal portion of tapas if you like. The tapas here is amazing especially their fried calamari and shrimps. Their seafood is very fresh and the staff are very fast and efficient! We like the food so much that we ate there thrice times in 2 days.

A wonderful place to enjoy lunch. It is usually crowded and it can be hard to get a seat quickly. Make sure you let the workers know you would like to sit. Until then you can stand at the bar or outside. The food here was excellent and the experience was one of my favorite in the region!

This is a popular tapas restaurant with spanish locals and tourists. The waiters are quick and friendly. The food is very fresh too. Really enjoyed the baby squid, fried artichoke and mussels. Ordered seconds for the mussels. You sit real close to everyone else, so its like a big happy family meal in there. Enjoyed the atmosphere.

It’s very popular and was a bit of a queue outside at 13:00. When you go inside the tables are bar style and so you will sit next to others as soon as a table is free. It makes sense to do this since it’s so popular. Quite loud inside but good atmosphere. Staff are very friendly despite how busy they are 👍 We ordered mixed fried seafood, octopus and fried peppers. The food came quick. It was delicious, well seasoned, and not dry at all. Exceptional fried seafood! We then added Rosada to the order which took a little longer and was a little bit too salty but it was nice to try something new. It’s a little pricey but good value. We spent 51.80 euros for those 4 dishes and a coke. Overall, very nice!

Limited option for non fried food but the dish I ended up having of sautéed artichokes and prawns with a few mussels thrown in a lemon-butter sauce wasn’t bad. But I liked the free mushroom tapa that came with my vino better! Salty and oily (olive oil). YUM! Definitely super busy but tables move fast.

I liked this place. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Free tapas when you order a drink. Lots of fried foods. The place is kind of small so be prepared with your mask if you’re not comfortable in this pandemic being in close proximity. We ordered calamari, fried artichokes, mushrooms, and peppers. All were very good. It definitely is loud in here but it’s a bar, that’s part of the appeal in my opinion.

Awesome tapas restaurant with a lot of options to enjoy some of the best seafood in Spain... the prices are correct with a great quality of the food and the customer service is great.. the portions are huge... 100% recommended.

What a way to spend our last night here in Granada! This is easily the best meal we had. I recommend the orange lamb, Iberian ham ravioli, cumin cod and almond / avocado/ lime soup! So many fresh and celebrated flavors of Spain! The flamenco itself was a transporting experience. It is an intimate setting where your body beats with the percussion of the stomping and your head sways to the string melody. We felt honored to be apart of this glimpse of the soul of Granada, sharing a bit of love in hard times.

Wonderful show, delicious food, warm welcome and good service. Wish we could have understood what they were singing about with such passion. Maybe a brief introduction of each song in English would help most international tourists feel the same passion. Excellent thoroughly recommended

I could not recommend this show and restaurant more. It’s one of the most amazing performances I’ve seen. It’s extremely intimate, the dancers, guitarist and singers are insanely talented (everything is spontaneous), and it just felt like a real glimpse into the flamenco dance culture (didn’t feel touristy). Not to mention, the food was amazing. Every dish made me think - I chose all local dishes and the flavours were fantastic. Do not miss this food and show!

We went for to see the flamenco show without dinner, we just ordered drinks and an amazing dessert. The show was amazing, intimate, passionated and full of energy and presence. We just loved it and got so much energy from it and we still talk about it. We saw other flamenco shows afterwards but those were nothing compared to this. You should definitely experience this! Also the settings were nice, small restaurant with an inner garden.

Wonderful, intimate room to see top notch Flamenco. Highly recommend the overall experience. Pics show the view from the 2nd (back row) in front of the stage, at a taller table. Most tables are regular height. We saw an outstanding early show. We were so happy, we decided to stay for dinner in their lovely outside patio. We had one of the 3 course fixed menu (choices given for each course). Do stay for dinner, this is not run of the mill. Your taste buds will thank you for the experience. Merci chef! We went last night. Great little place, friendly people, food better than expected and tasty sangria. Flamenco was outstanding with great singers, a wonderful guitarist and very energetic dancing. Highly recommended.

This is the third time we have been to Jardines de Zoraya. Each and every time they excel themselves tonight was nothing short of phenomenal. The food was excellent with great service. The flamenco show was just WOW. The passion and the emotion and the dancing were all exceptional. Next time we are in Granada we will be back for the fourth time. Thank you.

I can assure you, you don’t want to eat while the show is on. You won’t be able to take your eyes of the artists. The dishes were alright, playing a lot on a sweet-salty combo that doesn’t always suit every tastes. (Ex: tomato salad with raspberries, raviolis in honey Aubergine sauce)

Incredible Flamenco!! This place was recommended by several locals and it did not disappoint! The musicians and dancers had amazing chemistry and fed off each others musicality to create a spectacular, improvised performance. My attention was captivated from the start and I could have watched for hours more! The venue is very intimate and allows you to feel the passion exuding from the artists. Even the food was amazing! Would highly recommend enjoying both the food and flamenco - you won’t regret it.

It was an incredible experience to attend the show. There was soooo much energy and soul put by the performers that it took our full attention. Though we did not understand any words they spoke but the music and dance took our breath away. Much recommended. Few tips: if you live close to Royal cathedral then be ready to walk high (like you are walking on the mountain). Good food, great service, bad pricing. We came here on a Sunday night and were the only guests for most of the time - which was great. The service is truly fantastic. Our waiter was attentive, very friendly and made us super welcome. He just started here a few days ago - top pick by the owner 👍 the food tasted nice. We had dumplings, Sushi and the Duck special. Dumplings were very yummy, sushi was fresh and nice, duck was over cooked unfortunately and therefore a bit dry. The rest of the duck special was delicious. The pricing is really high - considering that you are in Spain. I haven’t seen these high prices in any other country but it Spain it seems to be normal. Overall good experience which will bring us back - unfortunately due to the pricing it won’t be a frequent revisit.

I can't understand the good ratings this restaurant has. The duck was indeed good, but that's it. The big sushi platter with 65 pieces was a total rip off. It was mostly rice with some vegetables. I would hardly call this sushi at all, and the quality wasn't more than OK. Highly overpriced. In addition, they didn't accept (Norwegian) credit or debit cards. We tried 10 different ones from three persons, and we ended up withdrawing cash from an expensive ATM.

Probably the best Japanese restaurant in Granada. Ordered via uber eats. Pork ramen was great, it was very tasty as it had an authentic flavor and the size of the portion was good. Avocado nigiris were delicious as well. Plenty of condiments. Prices were decent for what I got. A must for Japanese food in Granada!

Nice simple meal; good flavors. Pork Gyoza was delicious. Miso was tasty. Hamachi was great. Unagi interesting...1st time having barbecued eel, good but not as good as traditional in my opinion. Nice free digestive to end with a tasty dessert.

Very disappointing food after going out of our way off the beaten track for an authentic oriental experience. I have had far far tastier and finer ingredients for less money elsewhere. Perhaps it is important to say that none of us chose sushi. We all opted for a hot dish preceded by vegetable tempura. The tempura was extremely bland and overly salty (I can strongly corroborate what others have said); a total non-starter. The mains were more of the same dull experience, lacking in any depth of flavour but with a sharpness due to the salt. My chicken and veg curry looked and tasted like it came from a tin can with an overwhelming amount of mind-numbingly boring carrots (see pic); the chicken was cubed and too consistent in form for my liking which added to the ‘processed’ feel. In contrast, the venue was spotless and the waitress could not have been nicer. Regrettably, we all agreed we would not care to return.

Pleasant place. If you've eaten sushi in Japan or even places like NYC or LA, don't expect that kind of quality but it's okay if you need a sushi fix while traveling. Service was excellent.

We have had no reservation, but that was no problem. Very comfortable service. The food is awesome. We will eat there a second time. We ate there a second and a third time, every Meal was very good. Try the mixed dessert plate! ( enough for four people). Making a reservation is recommended, but if you come early (8pm), sometimes there are tables free.

Don’t think twice, this restaurant was great from the food to the service to the ambiance. We tried the croquettes, two different kinds of risottos, and the pork with what seemed to be either a pumpkin or butternut squash mash that was incredible! I recommend to make a reservation. We came here on Friday June 2nd, it was raining a ton and the servers were so kind, they even gave us plastic bags to make rain coats out of them so we wouldn’t get drenched. It made for a hilarious but lovely experience. We can’t wait to go back, hopefully soon!

Quaint restaurant. Excellent food and service. If you can make a booking, that would be ideal (we were lucky, we didn't have a booking but ate a little earlier than usual). Tables on the upper level have a wonderful view of the Alhambra.

This place is a marvel. It has the best view in Granada (make sure to book a Terrace table from their site) where you can watch the sunset on the Alhambra. The food is delicious and the service is top notch. Really, service reminds of a Michelin starred restaurant. A must for a romantic dinner.

Excellent food in a wonderful setting. We showed up for lunch without reservations and were lucky to get a table almost immediately. The waiting staff is fast snd correct, but not overly friendly. The food was fantastic, both in terms of preparation and presentation. It also was served pretty quickly. We enjoyed sitting in the garden which is small and quaint. We recommend making a reservation as the restaurant was completely full for lunch on a Monday.

Amazing food and service and the view of the Alhambra is incredible. It's not that easy to reach the restaurant, but a taxi will get you quite near, and it's a pleasant walk down.

Nice spot for dinner, servers were attentive, friendly, and accommodating to English-speaking tourists. They have a neat two-story patio. A free fried fish appetizer came before the meal. We ordered the salmorejo, burger, and salmon with roasted aubergine, tahini, seeds and citrus mayonnaise. The portions were very generous, and the taste was good. This was a rather heavy meal, so if we could go back we would order something lighter.

A really nice spot if you are looking for Spanish food. We had just arrived at our hotel and everything seemed too tailored to tourists or really expensive when we really just wanted tapas. However we went in because they had the village paella on the menu and we figured we would try it. We are glad we did because it was really good, my boyfriend says that Paella was the closest to the one his Spanish mother makes at home. We also got the coffee with pumpkin and it was cooked perfectly, done if the best we've had. The croquettes were also really good and we can see why they are a house favorite. This was our first time trying Alhambra beer which we really enjoyed as well. Definitely recommend for a nice night out in Granada.

We enjoyed lunch here on our way to Alhambra. It wasn't bad by any means, but it was kind of boring. My steak was tough and a bit overcooked (I prefer mid-rare and it was medium), but the flavor was good. My husband did enjoy the poke though, so I might have just gotten unlucky. Also, we felt it was more expensive than it should have been. Still, the service was friendly, it's in a good location, and the patio is really nice.

The food was really good and they gave us a tapa at the beginning when we ordered our drinks that was really tasty too. The dessert was good but the highlight was the icecream! Barbecue sauce for chicken is very similar to Korean's one. I know why Koreans like it. Bread with jamon, tomato is also tasty. The staff(David and his friends)is very friendly and kind. Finally, there is Korean menu. Strongly recommend 👌

Friendly service. Salmoreja was great. Tosta was no good for me but I should’ve known better - ham like that is always a toss up for me. Rice dish was way too salty. I thought I ordered well after so many failed attempts at eating good tapas but, alas, I once again missed the mark. Much prefer the cheap, good middle eastern food that’s aplenty in Granada.

A salad with cornflakes and yogurt and cold chicken and very unique assortment of ingredients. A thick yogurt cheese sauce made it unpalatable for me. —- I have to change my rating higher because the waiter offered graciously to take the entree off the bill. I didn’t ask nor planned to ask- he was very considerate. The other food people are eating looks good so I guess 4,000 good reviews can’t be wrong :)
