Adventure of a lifetime. I’ll let the pictures tell the story. Just be sure to be as comfortable as you can - sneakers are my go to. This was my second time after 2yrs. The locals are amazing but be sure to tip. They are building a museum near the panoramic view point - I think that’s really going to be amazing!

Pyramids are nice, definitely get a guide so you can cover all interesting points and be out. Come in the morning so you can avoid crowds as much as you can. For us it was only a weekend trip to Egypt, and I’m sure we won’t be visiting again.

Truly one of the seven wonders of the world. Huge rocks designed and stacked in a way that shows how the Egyptian civilization was advanced. This place is a must visit in Egypt. However, keep in mind that it is really hot during summer. I think the best time to visit would be during fall or spring. They accept no cash for the visit, tickets are sold only via credit cards.

Sublime place, very interesting place with amazing history and mystery’s of Pyramids! This amazing experience was completely ruined by all the local people that are constantly trying to take your money. We got in at around 8 am, after we got our tickets at the office. Right after we crossed the gates, one of the locals approached us and told us that he works for the government ( showed us some ID, which was BS). We knew about his type of stuff and yet, he told us that he needs to explained to us where to go, after couple of min him telling us about things the insisted on taking our photo and then demanded a TIP. After that we got scammed once again by rude on camels, the person said 100 each, afterwards he wanted 1200 each. We were able to get him down to 800 Egypt pound. It is not about the money, it’s about the way it’s done, I and my wife felt very USED! My tip is this, when you go there just tell anyone that approaches you that you already did the ride on the camels and you don’t have any more money left. As soon as they hear that one of their buddies took your money, they believe it and live you alone. Once again, the Pyramids are an excellent place with very deep history! However, locals and the expectation of tipping EVERYONE AND EVERYWHERE made our trip to Egypt our fort and last time. This is very unfortunate, I wish Egyptian government would do something about this.

Such a spectacular site, well worth a visit to this incredible historic place. The Pyramids are awesome. It is worth going inside the great pyramid, although there is just an empty sarcophagus in the chamber, the clamber through the tiny tunnel to reach it is fun and worth it. We rarely take a guide but for this it is the best thing to do, a guide will save you time and bring it alive with their knowledge. FANTASTIC!

One of the amazing experiences to visit the place. Had a great time as a tourist. Must visit places to see and feel the ancient monument in Cairo Camel rides available. Horse cart to enter the place, to feel a different experience. Don't hire a local guide to explain,demanding more money

The Great Pyramid of Giza is an awe-inspiring sight and a true wonder of the world. It's hard to believe that it was built over 4,500 years ago🥰🥰 One of the best tourist attractions of the world. The experience could be better tough if there were investments to make it easier and more sustainable going from one pyramid to the other. Always nice to visit world heritage sites and one of wonders of the world. You can get a camel ride to get a view but try to arrange a price prior to getting on the camel. It's the freaking pyramids... they are amazing and a global icon of ancient history and travel. Most of all, being inside the pyramid was absolutely amazing. This was a real trip of a lifetime🙏🙏

It's truly is one of the 7 wonders of the world. Going into the pyramid is a must.. unless you're claustrophobic and afraid of getting trapped, it's snug! But what an amazing place with plenty to offer. I would recommend not engaging the street vendors or they will follow you everywhere!

Always nice to visit world heritage sites and one of wonders of the world. Few things to know. Buy ticket, you can take your car inside or better walk. Pyramids are in walkable distance. Do not get looted by local so called guides and rides. Go in morning and roam around. Good weather in November to March months. Feel cool breeze and enjoy coffee.

What an amazing place this is the size of the Pyramids up close are amazing if you visit Egypt then you have to visit. If you go Sharm El-Sheikh the drive can be a long trip on a coach etc the coach took me around 9 hours and was well worth the long trip. The Sphinx and the Pyramids is just a site you have to see.

One of wonders of the world.... and I can say that it is hugeeeee. You will be amazed after looking at it. While travelling to the pyramid you can see it from far while on road. Best view is during sunset. Also, there are hotels nearby with the view of the pyramid and they serve rice in the shape of the pyramids

Amazing experience …just to be there .. unbelievable that it’s built 4000 yrs back… only Ancient wonder that still intact … trips can be made easily from Cairo ( 5 hrs round trip) and better to have through local car and guide

What words can explain the feeling you get standing just 50 or so yards away from one of the recognized moments in the world. My daughters were over come with excitement truing to kiss the Sphinx. Learning about the Sphinx does not compare to the experience of being here. Please. They Egyptian people are amazing. If you get a chance come visit this amazing country.

👌 Wow!!! What an amazing experience visiting this historic landmark. I was in complete Awe of the absolute fine details and carvings of the Sphinx. I booked my tickets in advance with a tour guide, we had a local tour guide whom spoke well English and explained the story in much detail. Tick off my bucket done ✔️

Interesting historical site and is one of the most significant sculptures in the world. Watch out for the local sellers who can easily take your hard earned cash, and be a bit careful as it can get very busy. Make sure you go through the Mummification Temple on your way to the Great Sphinx as this was where all the grim stuff happened which preserved the bodies for 1000’s years.

The Sphinx statue has to go through the ancient tombs, this place is very beautiful and attractive. You should come here to travel in the summer, the weather will be good for you, buy a camel and go, the entrance ticket price should be the same. buy online.

Amazing to see in real life! We visited late in the day and the site was very crowded. Might be better early in the day. We were not able to go right up to it and touch it like with the pyramids. Looks like they are doing some restoration. Still able to get close enough for some great pictures!

This pyramid was built by Khufu's son, pharaoh Khafre. It is now the tallest pyramid on the plateau because it's casing in the upper registers has survived, unlike that on the great pyramid. It is also located higher on the plateau, which helps it to appear taller than it actually is. It costs 200 pounds to enter the plateau and additional 100 pounds to go inside the pyramid. Lots of vendors and hustlers around, they're not dangerous, but they are annoying.

This pyramids tends not to get all the love because it is ever so slightly smaller than the great pyramid, however this is actually the best pyramid. From the eye test you can’t tell that it’s smaller than the great pyramid and unlike the other pyramids the top of the pyramid is somewhat still intact.

Visited the Giza Plateau 8 October 2022. Included in the Cairo Pass. This is the second of the three pyramids of Giza. When you are standing in between the two pyramids this pyramid appears to be the taller of the two which is an optical illusion. The Pyramid of Khafre is smaller than the Great Pyramid but is a built on a slightly higher piece of ground so appears taller. This is the only pyramid here which still has the casing stones at the summit. Unfortunately was closed the day we visited so could not enter the burial chamber. You can walk around three sides of the pyramid but for some reason the fourth side is partitioned off. On the far side closer to the Pyramid of Menkaure is a good vantage point to get both of the main pyramids in a picture. You will come across some of the ubiquitous Camel hawkers here and if you want pictures it will cost you. I recommend not riding the poor animals as the abuse they get is terrible for such a noble creature.

Very cool to visit and see. Highly recommend the camel rides but be aware of the locals who pester you for money and to buy something.

The second Pyramid of Khafre is the only one where you can go inside, but it is extra to the ticket that you are paying and if you've been to the Valley of the Kings toms, then you can skip this. All in all amazing historical place and great work by the ancient Egyptians.

Definitely worth seeing as you can walk right up to this pyramid. You will get pestered for camel rides and people wanting to take your picture for you.

A much more less travelled destination but no less rich in history, best to come with a guide as this place is very hard to get to. Partially the reason also why it has less tourists around. Well, because of that you can get better pictures.

Inside this complex are 3 pyramids with the Black Pyramid said to be the first ever pyramid built. You can buy tickets at the complex entrance to visit all pyramids within this complex. The red pyramid is the largest of the three, and you can enter it free of charge. If you decide to go inside it, beware that it is tight, involves many stairs, and when you arrive at the main chamber down, the oxygen levels decrease. There is ample parking and a restroom. Restroom was OK. Do not expect any kiosks that sell water or snacks.

The road of getting to the pyramid is a little bumpy, that's partly why most tourists go to Giza instead here. But the ticket price is much cheaper here, with entrance into the pyramids included! The air inside the pyramid is a little musty. Technically the pyramid is not red, but we were told it will appear red during sunset.

This is my absolute favourite of all the pyramids as there was nobody else here at this site. I had the entire pyramid to myself with not one other tourist! The climb down into the pyramid is not for the weak or elderly for sure. If you’re overweight and unfit - might not he a pleasant experience! Top tip - get there early and revel in the feeling of being the only living soul in the heart of a 4,500 year old iconic structure. It appears that most tourists just go to see the Giza pyramids and ignore the Dahshur pyramids - massive mistake!! I’ve been here twice and both times - not a single other person was there.

One of the first Pyramids that I visited in Egypt. It is also one of the oldest. You can also go inside the pyramid with the same ticket. Had a really great experience. However, the Pyramid is not as tall as the other Pyramids in the Giza especially the Great Pyramid. Therefore, I recommend you to spend less time and focus more time on the main Pyramids if you visit this first.

I came here last summer vacation with my family, Egypt is home to the world's top tombs and pyramids, beautiful, majestic and ancient is my description for it. Please buy tickets online in advance, otherwise you will have to wait a long time.

If you're in the neighborhood, visiting Saqqara for example, than this is a nice stop. Also if you have not been to upper Egypt yet, this might be worth visiting, but if you have seen the temples along the Nile than you will see this as just another statue of just another pharaoh. It is however sublimely carved and impressive in its sheer size. There is not a whole lot else to this site outside of the Alabaster sphinx which is outside of the museum.

Historical statues kept at this location. You can easily reach by road and walk upto the main building where the parts of Ramesses II statue is kept. Few other smaller statutes are kept outside in the open area.

Memphis is a MUST come destination when in Egypt. The museum displays the single block of limestone sculpture of King Rameses II is TRULY AWESOME!

The place is confusingly the same as a neighbouring high end restauraunt. But this is is a low end fast food restaurant. The falafel cost only 8EGP (25 cents), which is the cheapest falafel I ever ate, wasn't particularly good, but what can you expect for 25 cent 😅

Went there for dinner looking for a roast pigeon, and was not disappointed! We also had the stuffed marrows. Also delicious. The staff were attentive and polite. They also have a takeaway joint around the corner that looks great.

Came here due to the recommendation of an Egyptian(!) friend to find out its a beautiful bit very touristic place. To my surprise the waiter only recommended me 3 small dishes when I told him about my vegetarian preference and when they arrived (see picture) I immediately ordered two more to not leave hungry. Food tasted fresh and tasty, definitely try the Taamia (original Falafel)! Service was fairly swift in this half-full restaurant and I also got to taste their delicious juice and dessert. Price levels is expensive for Egypt but OK for tourism places, I paid 350 EGP for dinner (including a 90 EGP beer). 'only' four stars because I would not necessarily return here but might rather look for a local place.

I came with my fiancé who came to visit Egypt for the first time as this restaurant was close from the hotel. We ordered from the menu but the waiter told us that they did not have what we wanted and we were like what’s available then. To be fair the food is not bad but the service is literally horrible. They brought what was ready first even though we asked them to bring everything together when all of the dishes were ready. We ordered 3 main courses they served 2 of them one after the other and after we finished eating we waited literally 40 minutes for the 3rd dish and we kept on telling them that we were waiting for one more dish. The waiter kept telling us “ it’s almost ready” but it was never ready.. I can’t imagine a restaurant without a napkin to clean our hands although we asked for it, again they never gave. At the end I told them we’re actually full we need to leave and not to include the last dish that was never served in the bill and I mentioned that we waited for it for 40 minutes. Until the end they never said a single sorry. And guess what!! they charged 31.62 L.E for that horrible service. If you are in hurry I don’t recommend this place. But if you’re planning to test your patience level good luck then..

Please avoid - this place is a big disappointment and rip off! Food is very basic(photo attached) and for the prices they ask it's just ridiculous. Chips we had were just fried frozen chips. Salad was just raw onion, carrot and parsley. Meat taste was good but nothing outstanding, you could probably get the same at any streetfood. Staff isn't very efficient as there was only one guy responsible for charging customers. Once the waiter saw we are foreigners, right away we were recommended the most expensive meal from the card before we even opened it and had any conversation with him about what we wanna eat! On top of service charge they charge another extra fee called "cover charge" for each person sitting by the table which I've never seen anywhere else. Payment cards are not accepted there, it's cash only. Unfortunately there was nothing positive we experienced in that place.

The server hassled us for a tip on TOP of the service charge; this is not normal. If they did this to an Egyptian, it would cause a massive fuss. It was so rude. The price was very high for small portions (though the food was good and service was quick). I have never had a server, in any country, open the folder to see if there is a tip and then linger and demand one. We left feeling really taken advantage of as two women. Atmosphere was 10/10 though.

Surroundings are beautiful, food was average. There isn't a huge menu though I recommend the liver and rice. The staff were not nice, had to call for them several times to get the bill and they seemed annoyed. Also there is no booking system, you will 30 minutes before being seated. Go somewhere where they value you as a customer!

Amazing view , one of the best views in the area overlooking all of 6 October city. Try to be there before sunset and after sunset, both views are amazing. Their food is above average but grilled chicken and fries are excellent. Staff is friendly but you feel they are in a hurry. Restaurant is clean and atmosphere is great too. For sure I will go there again when visiting Egypt.

This is quite a drive out from downtown Cairo but it is well worth it! The food was well prepared and well cooked. The menu is limited but in a way that helps control the quality of food that you then eat. The setting was amazing and at night quite magical, with a cooling breeze that enabled you to enjoy your meal. The waiters varied in helpfulness and therefore I wouldn’t give it five stars for service. The man who bought the food and coffee was delightful however, the guy who took our order and checked payment might consider smiling once in awhile.

We waited for 30 min on Friday as there is no reservations but it's worth the wait, the menu is very minimal and there is a minimum charge of 300 EGP per person The hand cut french fries is super tasty and crunchy, the grilled checked was amazing and the chicken liver as well. The salads portion is very satisfying. The service and the staff are average. The view and the atmosphere is lovely

Wow. Absolutely worth the drive. Stunning views, amazing setting and the best food from the Middle East and Northern Africa I’ve had in my 3 years in the region. Absolutely delicious. Brought here by local friends and what a treat it was.

Super popular restaurant in Cairo. Chicken livers were amazing! But when I paid the bill, they kept all the change without permission. I would like to pay the tips but I didn’t like the way they did.

Spectacular views of the city and charming ambience overall. However, way overpriced and limited menu with only grilled chicken and quails as main dishes. Average taste.

A must visit in Cairo! Andrea New Giza has very well recreated the atmosphere of the old Andrea. Be prepared for waiting for a long time, specially on weekends. On a Friday afternoon at 3pm, we had to wait for an hour exactly. Do not expect high hospitality from staff or waiters when going to your seat or taking the order(which is honestly one of the few disappointments of this place). Seating is all outdoors. Their food is lovely. As you are waiting for your order, go take a look at the bread baking ladies that bake fresh egyptian baladi bread and the grill. Astonishing operation. Order arrived very quickly. Although options are limited in the menu compared to other Egyptian restaurants, the food is very well done. For starters, their authentic “fried” chicken wings are not to miss. The meatballs also have a different recipe. Chicken liver is also very good but normal. Other than that it’s mainly good starters. For mains, my favorite was the quails and boneless chicken which had the most flavour. What I love about this Andrea’s new branch is that they kept the donkey where kids go play and the ice cream fridge where you can go buy ice cream cornets after your meal. Definitely a recommended stop in Cairo/Giza, specially on a day of beautiful weather.

Very recommended! We thought we fell in a tourist trap but it has actually been one of the best meal in Giza! The service has been great, the food was amazing!!! We told them we were vegetarian and the waiter arranged a meal for us. The quality of the food was very good and the price was little. I will definitely come back here again!

Great (and a lot of) food!!! We visited more then once during our five days in Cairo. The food is really great and the staff very friendly and generous. I think it’s the best restaurant in this area!!!

Good experience. The staff is friendly and the place clean. They don't serve any kind of alchoolic drinks. The food is typical and this is mainly turistic place. God starter and very good Falefel. The price is very good.

I stayed in the area near the Pyramids in Giza, there were not many places to eat, but I found this restaurant on Google Map. I was interested in their set menus and ordered the set dinner with stuffed pigeon which is a famous Egyptian dish. The pigeon skin was fried crispy, the rice stuffing was delicious, but the pigeon had no meat and the little bit of meat was also very tough. On the other hand, the service was good, the price was reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area.

Delicious vegan menu with local dishes. Cheap and worth it! Enough food for 2 meals. Super friendly and accommodating staff. I didn’t bring cash with me and their CC machine wasn’t working, so the server was kind enough to walk with me to my hotel. Pretty nice experience. Feels pretty local. The food was a 8/10 for me.

Our tour guide had arranged for lunch at El Dar Darak since we wanted to try local food. Once we arrived, we were able to park in front and brought to our table. The server asked us what we wanted to drink and we were given a choice of either chicken kabobs or mixed meat. We both chose the mixed meat, which was chicken and beef. We were served a few small dishes before our meal and most were very good. I was not brave enough to try the cheese and tomatoes as they had a pretty strong smell. The food soon arrived and after cutting into it, I could see it was very juicy and not dry at all. In fact, the food was delicious and we enjoyed it. Definitely a great spot to try some local food.

Fantastic food, and service. Good kofta,grilled meats and all the salads. Good price set menu options as well. Our whole family (English with the kids) had a great time. Reasonable price and not too full of tourists. Attentive staff and really good menu (also available in English). Would return again and would definitely recommend

This restaurant is located inside the Mena House Hotel (Marriott). I am not Indian myself so I cannot really tell you if it super authentic or not. However, what I can tell you that it was really really good. I only gave it 4 stars because the drinks were terrible. I ordered two different drinks and both didn't not taste good (as in I didn't not drink them). Service was good, but I have had better. If you are looking for some real good Indian food with an out of this world view, this is your go to place. You get to see the pyramids if you are seated outdoors. You cannot see the pyramids from most indoor tables.

I had a wonderful experience eating Indian food at this 5-star restaurant. The Moghul Room offers high quality Indian food. All of the food was so flavorful! I especially loved the Lamb Biryani and Palak Paneer. Marian, the restaurant manager, was also very pleasant, friendly, and welcoming. She was so nice to talk to and even offered a complimentary dessert (Gulab Jamun), which was out of this world! For sure, this is the best Indian food that I have tried in Egypt. The ambiance of the place is also very authentic and serene. I am already planning my next trip to Mena House with some friends just for their delicious Indian food and quality service.

Isn’t so easy to find a good Indian, anywhere… but this restaurant it’s very good! I like that they don’t have many tables, it’s a quiet place, you enter and the incense surround you. All the waiters are attentive and the food quality it’s superb. Prices aren’t bad, maybe too high for local but definitely not for tourists. The attention to details left me wordless. The garlic bread was just too good, as the butter chicken and the biryani. Liked a little bit less their curry chicken style.

Good, not great food. You have to eat inside even though outside pyramid view tables are nice. Masala lassi arrived as unflavored Lassi. Masala Chai is flavored. Told I can have it spicy. They added chili powder. Much more expensive than googlemaps version of menu and getting an Uber back was a fail that instituted our new policy of only restaurants close to our hotel, which is not the Marriott.

I want to say this was one of the best restaurants I ate at in my trip in Egypt. I highly recommend you get the butter chicken, it was the best I’ve ever had. Nabil and the staff took such good care of us. Highly recommend this restaurant 10/10.

The rogan josh was delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Outside tables offer great views of the pyramids.

While it was not the restaurant's fault that I was brought to the restaurant by my tour guide during the evening when there were no views of the Pyramids, the food and service was very subpar and inedible. To cap it off, none of the waiters approached me to ask if I would like to order a drink. Definitely not worth the $80 for the dinner that I paid my tour provider .

This restaurant has a fantastic view of the sphinx on the 2nd floor. Big glass window while having ur lunch. Sit comfortably while watching the tourists outside in the heat and dust. Expect to have large crowd of tourists come in for lunch. Food were good but service v slow. Had to ask several time for drinks, cutleries and the bill too. Not too expensive for the view u get. No wheelchair access.

The view is just amazing-the sunset over the Pyramids&Sphinx is wow. The food is preety good,but is overpriced. The waiters just want to fool the tourists with high prices of beverages for example-3$ for a 600ml bottle of water?!?!?!

Ok, the best thing about this place is the view. Having the pyramids as our backdrop was great. However, the restaurant is definitely due for a renovation; it was outdated. The food was good. Your standard Egyptian food.

2 stars only for the view and location in front of the pyramids. Food is really bad. Tastes like old. Kakfa is not good and we also ordered mixed grill family size and it is for 2. Fatoush is a ramdom salad. Only the grilled chicken was good
