A lovely walk, not much of a view due to high weeds either side of the path. Would’ve been nice to see the ridge! Lots of people using for their morning run. Beautiful temple at the beginning of the walk. Quite a inconspicuous entry, google maps is super helpful, save offline so you don’t need to use your data 👍🏻

Great hike. It can get hot. Take water. Beautiful views. There are places for drinks etc. near the end. If you get close to the village amazing restaurants and places to stay. There are a few art galleries.

This is one of Bali's top scenic walks. It is a pleasure passing through beautiful villages, rice fields, and green hills, and being able to enjoy the panoramic view over all these beautiful places. Considering all the stops for the photos it's a relatively short walk (20-30 min). It is much more rewarding if you go early in the morning (when fewer people are there) or in the evening! Once you reach the end of it enjoy the cafes around, have a drink and come back to Ubud central from the same patch (or take a taxi).

Very beautiful ridge walk. It's quite short and I would recommend going early in the morning when there aren't many people. At the end of it you can continue walking past multiple shops that serve breakfast.

The skies were very clear. Not sure if this is the normal setting but make sure you wear sunscreens. The walk have its ups and downs, literally. With the sun shining brightly, it's very refreshing to have a bottle of cold water. The walk itself actually doesn't have a predefined set. You could stop anywhere or just continue until you find the main road again. If you continue to walk until you are near the main road, you will find a restaurant named Bamboo Kitchen Ubud where you can relax after walking maybe 3-4 kms.

Such a breathtaking place! If you plan to visit, go there a bit before the sunrise to enjoy the scene at maximum and the cool breeze of early morning. The place is suitable for jogging as well. You might bring some water because at that time, the cafés there are still closed. I enjoyed walking on the stone road with bare feet. It felt so connecting to the nature and the view. If you plan to do so, please be careful to step on the right place so you don't harm your feet, and just be cautious of the muddy spaces. Enjoy the best walk of your journey!

Now this is a wonderful walk. Take it steady , and enjoy it 😉. Get your transport to drop you off somewhere before Ubud. Pick a place baced on how far you want to walk so you finish in Ubud. Ubud end would then be on the down hill end. Go and enjoy.

It's an easy trek, suitable for a walk before sunset. Very relaxing, a great getaway from the busy Ubud center. The scenery is quite average though

Goa Gajah is a thousand-year-old magnificent temple with several ponds surrounded by lush trees and beautiful surroundings. It was a calm and soothing experience. This place is less busy when compared to other popular locations in the Ubud region. Goa Gajah was missing informational signage to provide history about this temple.

Nice temple. There will be some people offering you a tour for money. So if you interested in the history, might be good to pay for the tour. Just looking around was also really nice. The Hindu part of it seems to be smaller than the Buddhist part, but both are beautiful. At the parking lot some people will try to sell you the Sargon. I didn’t really saw where you could rent it, but it is possible. If you plan yo visit other temples, might be worthy to buy one. The prices are not cheap tough. Around 150k for one

Goa Gajah temple also known as Elephant Cave temple, is a historical temple in Bali. It has cultural and spiritual significance. The highlight of this temple is that it resembles the face of an elephant upon entering. The temple also includes a garden and a bathing pool. Also, before you enter in the temple,you have to wear a Sarong which will be provided to you at the entrance. No need to buy a Sarong from outside. There are a few shops outside on the street, wherein the shopkeepers tell you to buy a Sarong and tell that you will not get it inside and you will have to buy it from them..don't believe them as they temple already provides Sarongs for all visitors. Also, you will be able to worship Lord Ganesha and Lord Shiva inside the small Cave. Overall, It was a good experience to visit this temple,as you are allowed to go inside the temple here where as in most of the temple's in Bali you won't be allowed to go inside the actual temple where the idols are kept.

Nice place to see the Indonesian culture, peacefully and green everywhere. The entrance is 4 dollars per person and all the whole tour takes like 2 hours. Bring REPELLENT, lots or mosquitos.

Amazing temples known in history for coexisting Hindu and Buddhist philosophies growing in Balinese culture. They have a Ganesha and Shiva Lingam in the caves with very amazing vibes. There is a separate peaceful Buddha shrine in the forest. It's a small hike with many steps. Definitely something I strongly recommend for everyone interested.

We took a taxi with Grab app from Ubud and it was a quick ride there. Well worth a visit! Impressive temple and a very nice area to walk around. It's an archaeological site so very significant for its relics of ancient Balinese art. The entrance to the cave (meditation room) might be the highlight as it's so unique, but really the entire place is beautiful. There is a small fee to pay at the entrance. They'll give you a sarong (free) at the entrance if you're wearing shorts, so don't bother with those the sellers at the stalls try to sell.

It was a beautiful temple to visit. Great place for families with little ones. Tips to make this visit a good one: Always bring a sarong to wear in temple so the ladies outside the temple do not get agressive selling sarong to you. Fruit ladies inside the temple offer free fruit to kids as a way to sell later. A guide is not needed for this temple. You can read about it yourself before heading here. It was great to visit.

Holy place for monks. where 7 holy rivers waters is coming ( spring water). Trinity is situated inside the cave. For men- you have to wear full pant or Sarong provided by the temple authority. For women-you have to wear full pant / saree or Sarong provided by the temple authority, During down time, females not allowed. Here you can see the kitchen, nice monuments and holy water. offerings is also allowed. a small spring water fall is there, with lots of lots of trees & greenary. At top budha temple is also there.

We visited Goa Gajah temple in August 2023. Inspite of being the peak season there was not too much rush. There is a nice pond at the entrance with fishes and there is a cave temple inside. There are a few stalls inside the complex and there is ample parking available outside. Sarong is mandatory, however you don't need to purchase them as they are available with the ticket to be returned when you go back.

Beautiful Hindu temple with unique elephant temple. The entrance is intricately designed. Inside elephant temple is small but very historical. The grounds itself are beautiful with central pond and park and waterfall. Wasn't too busy when we went. Entrance fee includes sarong.

The place is good, lot of thing you can learn here not just about monkey but also about history and spiritual traditions. Entry ticket is quite affordable for both domestic and international tourists. Wheelchair access is also available so it good for anyone. Be careful with your belongings as the monkey sometimes try to steal it, and follow all rules properly. Parking areas are very spacious for both cars and bikes.

If you like monkeys, a visit is a must. The path through the jungle and the temple complexes are actually worth a visit on their own. You almost forget that you are in the middle of a tourist town. The monkeys are not very impressed by the guests, the only thing that really attracts the attention of the whole horde is when food is being prepared at one of the many feeding points. It is fun to watch the monkeys, but you should always keep in mind that they are wild animals. It is best to be prepared by putting everything you have in your pockets in a locked bag and only open it when you are not being observed by monkeys. The monkeys are not shy and tend to climb up the guests, so you can take some funny selfies, but you have to be prepared to be peed on or have your cap stolen (both of which we have seen live). I would always recommend the visit, but you must always be aware that these are wild monkeys. Especially if you are planning a visit with children.

The Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud is awesome! It's a cool place with lots of trees and monkeys hanging around. You can also see some pretty temples. But watch out, the monkeys might try to grab your stuff! The ticket price is 100.000 and I guess it helps keep the place as nice. Great for anyone who likes animals or wants to see something unique. Definitely worth a visit!

Went here with my family while staying nearby on Monkey Forest road. Tickets reasonable (100k per person), it was well organized and supervised with trained guides nearby. The forest is beautiful with lush greenery & mossy sculptures all around there macaques eating & grooming each other at every corner. They have feeding stations where they congregate and you can take photos. When we sat on a bench to rest, a juvenile monkey climbed up on my lap and crawled over the laps of the 4 of us with its unexpected soft paws (hands & feet?) the guide quickly shooed it away as we didn't want to touch or push it directly. Great experience! We could lock up our backpacks for free and that was great. The monkeys were not aggressive at all. Beautiful!

Breathtaking… and also slightly terrifying. Its a one of a kind experience to see so many monkeys roaming free in a jungle in the middle of a city. But, because it’s in the middle of the city the monkeys are not afraid of humans and will attack you if you have something they want like food, water, sunglasses etc.!

I recently had the incredible opportunity to visit the Monkey Forest in Bali, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the heart of Ubud, this captivating sanctuary combines lush greenery, ancient temples, and mischievous monkeys, creating a unique and magical atmosphere. The Monkey Forest is not only a home to over 700 long-tailed macaques but also a revered site for the Balinese Hindu community. This coexistence of monkeys and religious sanctuaries contributes to the spiritual and cultural significance of the place.

Certainly a unique experience, and you definitely get plenty of chance to watch monkeys getting up to, well, monkey business. Was disappointing and quite frustrating to see people brainlessly ignoring all the signs and feeding treats like cookies to the monkeys - and staff clearly seeing this and not saying anything. It was very busy but this was to be expected. Shame to see a lot of rubbish. A worthwhile experience but could’ve been a lot nicer.

I don’t like zoos of any kind, so I wasn’t sure if I wanted to visit the Monkey Forest in Ubud. One day, while driving past it, we noticed that it appeared quite open and accommodating for the monkeys, which was encouraging. Since we were staying nearby, we decided to go one morning right after it opened. It turned out to be much better than we had expected. Most of the monkeys were freely roaming around, some even ventured out into the city, going about their monkey business and looking incredibly cute. Fortunately, the place wasn't crowded during our visit. However, as we were leaving, masses of people started to arrive, and the atmosphere began to shift from a sacred sanctuary to an amusement park quite rapidly. So the lesson is again, as in most touristy places, go early!

Honestly enjoyed this more than I thought! Was a lot of fun to explore, plenty to see and you can walk for hours if you want. There's the frog dance to see at 11am which was pretty cool. It does go for a while so we only watched for a bit. The monkeys are funny and everywhere! Almost got taken out by corn dropped from a tree, so be aware of your surroundings. Would recommend getting tickets in advance to save some time, but honestly wasn't that bad getting them there.

The sacred monkey forest has definitely evolved over the years, it is now run fully as a paid entry park. Although the entry fee is a little steep, you will no longer be hassled to buy extra’s once inside. This is now a fully dedicated preserve for over 1,000 monkeys. There are many areas to explore and view Monkeys doing all sorts of activities. Our driver was able to skip the line for us to enter quicker 😬

I love the monkey forest. I've been here a few times over the years. Monkeys are given food by staff in various places that get them to come sit on the side walks and eat. This gives you a better chance of seeing them up close. That said, don't touch the monkeys. Dont be a stupid tourist. Don't try to make them angry. Monkeys can rip your arm off like a celery stalk, and don't have empathy like humans. Best to be nice, polite and respectful to these jungle animals. They're not pets. The mixture of nature and temples here has always astounded me and though there are a lot more people here than there used to be, I'm still very much at peace wandering around the temples.

If you want to see monkeys, you are definitely on the right place! Very nice and quiet place to spend a morning or an afternoon by yourself or with friends and families! The place is very well kept and clean and you get to see lots of free monkeys and tropical plants! I’d recommend to go early, otherwise you need to queue - it’s a very crowded place! Lots of tourists every day! There’s a cafe and toilets inside if needed! Cheap ticket

Stunning walk through the monkey forest. Definitely recommend! I found monkeys here are used to people so not as much stealing of goods but still be careful with valuables! Follow the rules with no water bottles or food entering and give the monkeys space - it is their home after all! Don’t forget sunblock and hats! Purchasing fish food for the koi is a fun activity for both adults and kids and would recommend!

Good spot to try the swing, photos and just relax with the view. Doesn’t have much trail for walk and explore further. Free of charge. Car parking located nearby. We park at the restaurant so there is no charges and then enjoy cold drinks with infinity pool

A beautiful rice field terrace!! You will take a look from any point and you will feel like in a fairy tale. A magical wild space surrounded by all kind of trees and plants and where you can find animals like chickens or snakes living by themselves. Around the field there are lots of cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy breakfasts or drinks watching the view. Also you can swing from the heights. A very recommended it place!!

Really nice place to visit! Would definitely recommend parking in the free parking where you can find it. A lot of people are on the road asking for you to pay to visit the rice terrace and walk among them but if you walk further up the road you can just access them for free and have a better view around them. The whole area is based around tourists, and the place feels slightly like a tourist trap. There are swings over the terraces and ziplines, etc. The views really are lovely and worth visiting, but I would be careful about what you pay for!

This rice terraces are amazing, at the entrance the have different packages depending how many activities your are interested, meaning swings, basket swings and some other activities. I did the swing over the rice terrace, is a little bit scary but fun, scary because the you are getting into the seat all that you see is hill down like 50 feet down, when the pushed you, you are about 75 feet up from the ground, and when you look up the swinger is held to two palm trees that they move in and out accordingly with the movements, but is really fun. The place is very instagramable, a lot of nest made with lianas. You can also walk hill down to a little creek then go up to the other side of the hill where they have other swings and places where you can take really nice pictures. This place is fun.

It's definitely nice, but a major tourist trap at this point. Plenty of beautiful rice paddies around Bali where people don't try to get money from you.

Lovely rice terraces and I enjoyed a nice drink at the cafes facing it. It was a beautiful view. Going later has its advantages as its cooler and not brave the hot noon sun. However there's lots of flies and insects so bring your insect repellent with you. Worth a visit.

There are multiple entrance to visit the rice terrace area but on average entrance cost is the same at 10k IDR. Since I went here on the morning, amplified by the rain on the previous night, the path down along the rice terrace was quite slippery. I'd recommend coming here after 9am or at around 3pm to get the best light.

The quintessential Ubud attraction. Beautiful greenery all around albeit a bit commercialized. You can park in one of the nearby places, enjoy view from one of the many restaurants and cafes or you can trek down all the way or trek to the Swing. Enough and many photo opportunities to be had. A small entry fee and "donation" needs to be paid but seems worth the price. Come here during early morning or late evenings as afternoons can get unbearably hot.

Great views - best to go early morning before it gets hot (you can walk all the way around the terraces). The best views are not at the main entrance but further along. Wouldn't recommend prepaying for the swings, you can always pay directly if you decide to have a go (there are better options compared to the "official" ones). There's a decent day club with swimming pools by the exit on the other side.

I had an assumption that there was a free entry, but the security guard directed us to the ticket office. It cost 50k per person, just to enter. They said that we would be able to use photo points for free... What a scam, there were a few framed points where I would have to pay 5k.. not even close to 250k I paid for the family entry. Overall a nice Instagram place, but so artificial, real terraces look different, and absolutely free!

Highly recommended for a visit giving insight into tradition and beauty of ancient practices. Something for everyone here. From sedentary observation to full immersion activities*. I am a fit 70 year old and made it down to the bottom, up the other side and back but beware: these are traditional terraces cut out of the permanently irrigated hillside. UK standards of H&S do not apply. Don't let the mention of huge swings and zip wires put you off - they do not detract from the experience.

Located over 6 different buildings with English and Indonesian information, this museum holds a large number of masks and puppets which are quite impressive in number and quality. The grounds are also large and immaculate, but oddly this location is by donation only. When you visit, you will see that serious money has and will continue to be spent here so it's a mystery how they stay open. I don't really like masks and puppets, but enjoyed here. It's worth a visit if you have the time

It is a great museum in a peaceful location. There's a huge collection of various ceremonial masks, puppets from Indonesia, and different parts of the world, such as Mexico, Bolivia, Korea, Japan, and China, and there's no entry fee. If you want to get more familiar with the local culture and history, this museum is one of the perfect spots. Huge thanks to the Setia Darma House of Masks and Puppets for their efforts to preserve these art pieces.

This is my second time come here, if you really carving for art and culture of Mask and Puppets this place is really the best. Spend more time here was a good choice, there was many house for any collection from national to international. They still working on new house, i think it would be a new collection! Ask for the museum guide to explain anything here, they were so nice and good, just don't forget to take any pic you want. Also thankyou for Ms. Desak helping my thesis here!

I am still impressed by my visit to the museum. This visit added me positive emotions, energy, strength, faith in my abilities. It feels like I've been to many places, at different times. Such a strong impression from what I've saw. 1) People are born and die, but things are preserved, and after many years they tell us a lot of interesting things about people, their traditions, culture. For example: the ritual costume of the inhabitants of Papua. You look at this and mentally you are transported to those places, to those times. And you can clearly see: people lived in conditions in which a modern European will not able to exist even two days. But they not only lived, but they also passed on beautiful culture, art, traditions from older generations to younger ones. 2) In addition to art objects, the museum has a lot of household items: beautiful old kerosene lamps, a wall clock with the inscription Batavia on the dial, elegant carved furniture that has survived several generations of people. And how to describe the old houses that were dismantled, brought from other islands, and installed here? Graceful carved walls, partitions between rooms. Now you don't see that anymore. How much they could tell us about the people who lived here, worked here, passed on their experience from generation to generation. An old barn for storing rice. Growing and harvesting is already a feat. But the harvest must also be preserved. And this is not the 21st century. These are the old times, when there was no question of any climate control, no thermostatic polymers, desinsection and deratization. To a modern person, this task would seem impossible. But here it is, the barn. It stands for many years and shows us: a person can to make everything. The old screw press tells us the same thing. 3) But the strongest impression was made by the well-groomedness of this huge museum. Hectare area. More than seven thousand rare exhibits. Everywhere - perfect cleanliness and order. Hectare... Try tidying up a ten meter room, and then multiply that by a thousand. (a thousand rooms or a thousand people). Daily. And you will understand that in addition to the complexity of this organizational task, it still requires great resourses. I am still shocked and delighted at the same time. Free museum!!! I travel in bali for a month and almost everywhere that i go, i need to pay for entrance fee but this place is free and well maintained. I can see how much the owner love this value masks and puppets. I can spend here all day. It is worth to come and enjoy here

A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Ubud area. The landscaping is serene and peaceful. It’s a good idea to spend two hours there to understand Indonesian religious culture.

Food, location and ambience are great. Awesome view overlooking the river and underneath the Campuhan foot bridge. We tried the meat lover, duck legs, gindara fish, spinach ravioli and a number of desserts. Coffee wasn't bad either. Overall a bit pricey though.

Upscale restaurant in Ubud. The plating and presentation is fantastic. Food quality is good, but not outstanding. Highly recommend the zucchini blossoms. Drinks are good too. If you are looking for something reasonable priced that feels upscale I would try this.

Amazing food and service with exquisite views-feels like you’re right in the lush tropical jungle! I had tuna carpaccio for entree and the pork for main. Came with a palate cleanser in between and nice chocolate at the end of the meal. One of the best experiences I’ve had in Bali!

A very good restaurant near to gastronomic one. The team is very very good and adorable. Every time smiling.the main course are very excellent and the dressing is very beautiful. You will enjoy the jungle view and the sound of river accompanied by very relaxing music. and smiley. Price are a little bit high comparing to other restaurant, but accessible for European.

💯The best place to go if you live around Ubud and breakfast is important to you. The quality of fruits and vegetables is very good, especially there are many breakfast options. All employees are very polite, the kitchen is very clean compared to Bali. I tasted a lot of local Indonesian food here in the evening, it was amazing. 👍🏻 💻We went to work every day for a week because the internet speeds were very good. It is not very crowded in the mornings and afternoons, ideal for working at the computer. In the evenings, the restaurant is full, but still every order arrives on time. Their prices are cheap for this quality, I hope I go again.I don't usually find much breakfast on my Asia holidays. I am so happy to meet you guys, you saved my holiday.🍀

Came here on a recommendation by a friend. Hearing that this place has good seafood, and was not only an eating establishment but also a place that provides free health care to the poor, we HAD to come try it out. The location is a little out of the way, hidden in one of the smaller alleys in Ubud, and there weren't obvious lights or signboard for the place, but with GPS it wasn't too hard to find. The place is a little small, and it was really warm downstairs where we sat. We heard it was a lot cooler upstairs, but it was full. We ordered the tuna and the deep fried snapper, together with onion rings and spring roll as sides. The food took a long time to arrive, and truth be told, weren't really great. The service was good though, and for a good cause, can't really complain. All in all a decent place for dinner, not bad at all. I do encourage people to support this place simply because of the good cause.

Fantastic little place with a cause. The food is simple but well balanced. Local and extremely fresh ingredients producing super tasty dishes. Every meal supports their cause and gets a medical checkup for someone in need. You can also donate a little extra. Keep up the great work you guys are doing!

Great ambient and delicious food. Sweet shrimps pepper was incredible, but it only had a few shrimps. Red chicken curry was very good also, and chicken satay was OK. We had a tasty fried banana as dessert, and pineapple mint juice, 255k all together.

Very great food and very friendly staff. We ate there twice and each time had freshly squeezed juices with our meal as well as a dessert. The staff was very nice and accommodating and took time to recommend dishes to us. What we find particularly great about the restaurant is that the proceeds go to a good cause - and yet the prices are not higher than in other restaurants in Ubud (but at a very normal level). If you want, you can also make an additional donation to help poor people get medical treatment. Fair Warung Bale has two floors - best to go to the 1st floor. The restaurant was one of the highlights in Ubud for us Highly recommended!

This is the kind of place you go once and return several others. This is the kind of place that makes you feel that we can make a difference in this world, even with small action as just eating ... With every meal you buy here you are also contributing with health care for people that can afford it. The best part is that everything you can eat here is made with love, and tastes like it! The vegetarian curry is outstanding! Very delicious ! and the juices taste like heaven! Me, my mom and my boyfriend enjoyed our dinner time to the fullest, and would love to have something like this close from where we live.

Went here for a light lunch. Ordered the onion rings and spring rolls which I think are the best I've had. The rolls especially were fantastic, light and crispy pastry with a most interior. The chicken satay we had as our main was good too, really nice satay sauce mixed well with fresh lime. They also looked after my pallet with the Balinese coffee as I wasn't used to the amount of sediment, they kindly redid it for me

We came here for a late diner, even if they say they’re open until 22:00 we stayed there a little longer and the place was as still full of people. The service is nice, the food is just amazing! We had a tuna tartare and chicken cashew sauce, and both meals were super delicious. The rating doesn’t lie, I also give them a well deserved five star review! 👌

Came here as a family of four for dinner in our last day in Ubud. Saw some great reviews for this place and overall, our experiences were largely consistent with the praises this warung has received. The flavours were not too strong. Actually, the food was leaning towards the blander side of things, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The food was affordable but didn't have a 'wow' factor that made it stand apart from other warungs in Ubud of similar styles. Stafff were nice and atmosphere was pleasant. Would come here if you're staying in Ubud and need a simple meal, but for us, we would've liked to have finished our Ubud trip at a place with a bit more 'bang'.

I take a seat to wait for the rain to pass. I've secured a table at The Melting Wok at last. Their chalkboard tells me what's on the menu. While I enjoy the atmosphere, the venue. The staff walks me through with delight, The special dish curry sauce noodle bite. That sounds warming, just what I need to gain, On a day brisk and filled with pouring rain. With my first taste I know I've found it, But soon to discover why it's not a hit. It lacks veggies that I always seek for, Dish filled with noodles, not what I adore. A lovely place in terms of the people. They were amazingly friendly. The place is also right in the center of Ubud and rather quiet if one can say such a thing in Ubud. I read all the reviews and was intrigued, I needed a noodle dish. Something with deep taste, hearty. Yet, I did not find it here. While I say that I want to remind, I love veggies and for me that must be the main part of a dish. Here it was scarce bamboo shoots and a bit of soy beans. Everything else was noodles and coconut based curry sauce. To me it just lacked a lot of depth and veggies. However, if you are fond of noodles, this places serves a lot of em. The side salad is amazing. The portion is fitting for 2.

We had a great lunch at Melting Wok which offers some great varieties of dishesboyh with rice and noodles. We tried their wok noodles made in coconut based soup which was our favourite. Crepe with chicken and vegetables was also another great appetiser dish we tried. Service of the staff anywhere in Bali is good, but the ladies at Melting Wok was even better than most and was in smiles from the time we walked in, served with great enthusiasm and made our meal even better. A great spot for a small bite or for a good lunch and absolute value for money for the quality of the dishes.

Order pork dumplings and crispy prawn for entree. Very good start. Then the coconut curry with rice came out. It was delicious. I ordered a second serve of rice just you use up the curry sauce. Not only the food was excellent, the staff should be commended. Price point to quality - excellent value. Definitely will dine again.

Incredible green curry with tempe and rice, and fried noodles with tempe. Spicy stuff on the side to suit our taste. Very accommodating to two vegetarians. Had the place to ourselves, a nice table with its own fan overlooking a quiet side street in a nice part of town. Attentive service and prompt food. would definitely come back and hope business picks up "post" pandemic for gems like Melting Wok!

This place was excellent! I had naan for an appetizer and the bread was perfect in every way. My main course was a coconut curry noodle dish which was also fantastic. Service, plating, and food were all great. Highly recommend!!

I found this place by accident because the Grab bike driver had mistakenly dropped me off here instead of another restaurant that I was supposed to visit. Nevertheless, I consider it a happy accident because I loved this place. I was greeted by four female staff upon entering, and they looked so happy to see me, I was momentarily confused. Then I realized that's just how they were trained when I saw them doing the same with other incoming customers. One of the employees held up a board of menus in front of me and proceeded to explain what was on the menu. They're really taking customer service to the next level here. To be honest, she didn't have to do it, it's written in English anyway. I also knew right away what I wanted to order, but I indulged and let her finish her spiel. I ordered a grilled chicken dish, and it was delicious. I was so full that I no longer had space for dessert. But I'm definitely coming back here, and I'll order a dessert next time.

It was my first time trying Mexican food and it did not disappoint. It’s quite pricey, but considering it’s located in a very foreign tourist heavy area,it is still affordable. Portion sizes weren’t something to complain about since a single serving of the wet burrito could be shared between 2 people. Some items didn’t suit to my local taste buds, but it’s still good nonetheless. The staff were friendly and helpful, but parking a car is damn near impossible! But i guess that’s just an Ubud problem, since most places on the road does not have parking space.

As far as Mexican places in Indonesia go … this place is up there. The tacos were pretty authentic and full of flavour. The nachos were nice as well. Nice taco bar vibe inside. Well worth a visit!

Surprisingly one of the best memories in Ubud. Unlike the other joints, they’re very generous on the condiments (the beans, guacamole, salsa, and sour cream dip). Personally, the enchiladas are quite basic, but the taco and burrito are the star of the show. The combination of the fillings blended quite well. The staffs are very friendly too, great service. Would definitely come back.

I was craving mexican food, so came to check this place out!! I had their burrito bowl and it was SO good! My husband had their tacos and it was good, just lacking some spice and an extra mexican flavor! Portions are good, great ambience and great staff!

I was coming here from 2018 till 2020, then came back after the Pandemic. I would travel to Taco Casa for one hour if I feel like having a Mexican meal. I know the place for five years now and if it changed in any way, it improved. Delicious foods and snacks, good choice of drinks and pleasant atmosphere. I'm not into Mexican cuisine too often, but when the sweet tooth for a tortilla or enchiladas kicks in, I'm here at the nearest occasion. The food looks as good as on my photos. Me and my partner had these eaten like there wasn't tomorrow to come. Even my Indonesian friends, who are mostly into their local specialties, would love it here and come back from time to time. Enjoy!

Reasonably nice Mexican food - nothing that will particularly blow you away (fairly simple flavours etc) but does the job. Everything can be made vegetarian which we appreciated a lot. Enjoyed the jalapeño margarita and vegetarian enchiladas the most out of what we ordered, probably wouldn’t get the veggie fajitas again (pretty bland and not generous at all with the portions of sour cream / guacamole / black beans to go alongside).

You feel like Real Mexico. The food was amazing and really good taste. I ordered quesadillas, crispy tacos, burrito and margaritas. Everything perfect. The waiters very kind and really comfortable place. The food price is like 6 dollars per plate and margaritas 7 dollars.

I was positively impressed by this restaurant. I ordered the wet burrito with beef, which btw was halal. In addition to this, the nachos were decent. As for the shrimp tacos, these were by far the star of the Mexican show. Moreover, the restaurant was very clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, the dishes were quite pricey for the area so be mindful of that. All in all, a pleasant lunch!

The food here was amazing! Great value also! Staff were friendly and helpful. The service was quick and efficient. I would definitely go back and would also recommend for people in the Ubud area!

Loved this Mexican restaurant. Probably one of the tastiest Mexicans we have tried ever! We had the loaded Nachos, Quesadillas, Enchiladas and Chicken Fajitas. Food tasted very fresh and flavourful, and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend!

Was intrigued by the “red wine and red meat once a month brunch” - so stopped by to enjoy it. Wasn’t able to sit in the main dining room to watch the chefs work their magic, but the restaurant sat us in our own private outside space. Food was really good. Service was a little bit off, it seemed they were getting back into the swing of things. This restaurant is definitely open.

We have waited for a long time to visit this highly recommended restaurant by local families. And it is indeed worth it. We chose to come for lunch so we can have the sunny ocean view for lunch and again, it is indeed worth it. The food is unique and nicely presented. The service is good and patiently explaining what they have in case you do not understand or not familiar with the menu. Again, the best bet is not leaning on your own understanding, but listening to the recommendation of the person of serves you as they see so much what is favored by others. Well, unless you just want to try what you like or dare. There is only one place in the world that you can have this sea front restaurants with affordable cost, good service and tons of options within walking distance or half mile radius. Bali has been famous for decades and it still has a lot to be discovered. This is just one of them.

My husband tried the vegetarian and I tried the other 6 course pairing. The service was nice and the food was interesting to try. However some of the dishes didn’t seem to be very flavorful - especially on the botanical menu. We liked how they used so many different flavors in a unique way but it didn’t always seem to come together well - almost too experimental. My husband barely touched his cocktail because he didn’t like it and he was never asked about it even upon us leaving and it still being 3/4 full. There are so many delicious Restaurants in Ubud, for the price and lack of cohesion on some of the dishes we prefer others.

We went here for lunch today, we had the chef’s table lunch and it was amazing. Not only did the chef explain all the dishes, but we got to be able to watch the dishes be prepared. I would recommend this to everyone in Ubud that loves food. It’s very difficult to find good food in Bali, but this was fantastic!

Beautiful experience with well crafted courses using local ingredients. Such a smart way to present Bali in a modern expression on a plate. I took the 8 course seasonal meal, they allow others to take a different one on the same table, my friends took 6 courses which was more than sufficient. A good selection of wines, the better selection was reasonable while we skipped the pairing as they had 6-8 glasses for each course but the selection didn’t seem that attractive, with a lot of standard table wines. Also option of cocktails or natural wines. Venue was like a secret garden. There is also an outdoor area for smokers next to their smoke pit

Truly fantastic experience, one I could say the best I've been in Bali! It's a fine dining yet the atmosphere is exceptionally warm. I really enjoyed the lush garden, very Ubud. They have few areas which purposes are differ. The dining room is neat and modern, but aside from that room everything else is done in a mixture of modern and Ubud style. We were greeted at the entrance and showed the menu. I was with a friend and we chose the "Seasonal Set Menu". At the time of our visit there were only 2 menu options, the other one would be the all vegetarian. - since we have chosen our menu, staff asked where do we want to be seated for a tapas, which you get for getting the set menu. We decided to sit on the bar upfront and ordered our cocktails. It's a full bar and they have very interesting home-mixes! One of the PR staff then took us walk around the venue, on to the lush garden, over the dining room even passed the kitchen to see their workshop room. So green and nice. Dinner was something else. I rarely said this, but their food has successfully made my tounge dance! With every bite of each menu! - at the beginning of dining, they presented a bowl of veggies and herbs and some fruits which apparently are the ingredients used on each dishes. Staff were all well informed and not at all shy to explain them. As I said on the start of this review that the atmosphere is warm. Added to that the chef, who is a fantastic fun person, presented at least two of the menus on our set menu - we met him again after dinner at the bar where we see 3 other couples who were just finished their food and decided to have a drink at the bar. Blake Thornley, the chef, introduced us all and we ended up having a great conversation. That's how warm the place is! For anyone visiting Ubud and looking for the best dining experience, I could not recommend this place more. Please come! **reservations are needed (I think). Tables are not that many though so better be safe.

One of the most amazing restaurants I’ve ever been to. We opted for the tasting menu which was absolutely amazing. Sharing plates, great portion sizes and awesome variety. They have an incredible wine selection for all price ranges and so many delicious cocktails. They have lots of different dining options so we definitely have to go back and try again.

Ate here last month for an 8 course tasting menu and wow, what an experience! Not only was every dish visually pleasing but also, so damn tasty! Best food we had during our whole vacation. Loved that each dish was explained and how some even came with theatrics. They really know their stuff! Would recommend to others thinking about going this route and I will say, it was A LOT of food! We were worried they would all be tiny bite size portions but we were definitely wrong on that so again, a well worth the price experience.
