What an amazing experience this place is! The vast size of this battlefield is awe inspiring. Over 70,000 men lost their lives battling over a 24 acre piece of land, to either keep or do away with slavery. To learn and to actually be able to visualize how far a canon ball weighing 8 pounds could be launched a mile away with a canon two hundred years ago is truly incredible. The museum displays of the uniforms, handguns, rifles and various artifacts is extensive. I enjoyed the bus tour with the tour guide. It was interesting and fun to hear the narrative of the battle and learn about the little to unknown facts about the battle. In order to experience the entire Gettysburg site, it is easily a two day trip. For convenience, there is a small cafeteria in the main building. The new museum building was.built in 2008 and is very clean and modern. There is a good sized souvenir shop in the main building as well. There are also numerous nearby hotels, souvenir shops and restaurants in the City of Gettysburg. For the history buff, this is a must see place to visit.

What a day! The employees were all kind & informative & our tour guide on the bus was great. Thanks John. Gift shop had something for everyone. Highly recommend the bus tour then driving self on automotive tour (a self drive). They even have many options for free.

My wife needed a wheelchair and the staff were really helpful in getting her one and they helped at all the exhibit entrances. The cyclorama is completely different in a very good way from the use of lights, simulated cannon and gunfire and the narration of events. I went last time 25 years ago but this time they brought it to life. When it gets close to 5 be ready to exit quickly and that includes the gift shop. The rest rooms are cordoned off too. If you have a disabled member of your family take them to the drop off point with benches and then go to the disabled parking which is a 1/4 mile walk to the front entrance.

What a fabulous place. This is one of the cleanest and nicest places we have visited. The respect people have for this is amazing. The film, cyclamen and museum are wonderful and very moving. The staff is fantastic. We loved it! The auto tour was also great for us. We could take our time.

So beautiful. Well preserved. It feels alive with all the canons and monuments. Fences look like they have always been here. A must see if you are a fan of history. Get a map and follow the self guided tour. You will not be disappointed.

What an incredible place. I didn't have enough time to truly explore the entirety of it, as it is so incredibly vast. The bus tour was well worth the money, and comes with a very nice driver and a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Highly recommend that everyone should go, if possible, take a few days to really take it all in. I plan to return for a few days to hike it.

Amazing history! You really get a feel for the place where 51,000 lost their lives over a three day time period. I started to whistle while we walked, and then stopped as this is hallowed ground. Beautiful area.

History lesson at its best. Recommend starting with Cyclorama & Narrated movie to help put all the pieces together. So much took place over the 3 days of the fighting, that it is so helpful to get the overview. There is an App for the battlefield tour that guides you along the way. Very effective. There is also an App for all of the National Parks that adds extra content before heading out. Parking lots full of licenses from all over the US.

My significant other and I went here on vacation and it was wonderful. They have packages that are affordable, including a bus tour, and access to the museum. The park rangers do a lot of informative activities as well that are free. You could easily spend an entire day here between the tours (they have a self guided car version, an informative bus tour), the museum, and the additional activities run by the museum and parks department. The gift shop is beautiful, and reasonable as well. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and informative about what to take advantage of. I would visit here again if given the opportunity.

The best place to understand the history of United States 🇺🇸. Is the only and unique opportunity to feel, learn and see the artifacts of the Civil War. This place is outstanding. You can link the experience with other Histories places in PA and follow up the past, the present and the future. The museum has one of the biggest oil painting in the world which describes the reality of the battlefield of Gettysburg vs General Lee. If you willing to learn our freedom and why was important the emancipation, go and visit this area. We took the auto tour and loved it!! It took us about 2 hours and it is GPS driven. Very informative and gives you plenty of opportunity to get out and take pictures or get a closer look. The tour made us realize that we want to come back to the area and spend more time here. There are so many different things to do and see we can't wait to return!

I really enjoyed the walk through History. We used the national park app and we were able to enjoy the story being told to us at each one of the stops. The Monuments were beautiful and the park was well taken care of.

Went to Gettysburg Battlefield today. The grounds, the museum & visitor center were very informative. The staff we encountered were professional, courteous & cheerful. The visit had meaning, and was a thoughtful experience. I recommend you go there! Check it out!

The experience at Gettysburg was a solemn venture. It is a free self-guide tour, or if you want a more detailed experience, there are available tour guides in the area. Our family choose the self guided exploration of the grounds. It was an honor to walk among the beautiful landscape, immaculate stones, and to see the craftsmanship of the monuments here. There is a bit of walking, so make sure to bring some water or even a snack. The park can be fully explored in few hours. There was a parking lot adjacent to the park that had adequate parking. There is also a museum on the grounds, but it was not open when we visited here. What a great source of American history for the family! A must see if you’re traveling in the area!

I loved seeing the battle field's to sit and think of what happened here. To see our own fighting against our own for a better life for all. Both sides had their reasons. Both sides understood the cost. Now, we live in a world where no one understands the cost of freedom. Now, everyone looks the other way and forgets. I served in 2-2 Infantry for 10 years. A lot of the pictures are of 2-2 Infantry. Dedicated to my fallen brothers.

If you love history like I do, this is the place you must visit. So many sacrificed it all, young and old. This is a special place for me. A must on your stop in Gettysburg.

Although there are many monuments, there are none that clearly identify where exactly Lincoln gave his timeless Gettysburg Address. Who would no since there are no pictures or vids? No matter! If you listen closely, you can almost hear the speech whispering in the wind. Walking among the graves of fine soldiers is a solemn and humbling experience. I’m honored to have visited. I highly recommend going and giving your children a somber learning experience.

A very moving place to visit. It was emotional. This is our history, and we hope it will forever be preserved. People were very respectful as they walked through.

I was there in June and stayed at a hotel right across the street from it. I walked around and paid my respects to various soldiers both from the union and from the confederate side. I was very touched by this visit. I felt I was being watched but excepted by their spirits. The first two pictures below are of union soldiers from Illinois from the state I live in.

We have been to the Gettysburg Soldiers National Cemetery several times; however, this year we had the opportunity to experience all of the flags on the graves during Memorial Day. Was a great site to see and experience. Full blog post and video on our website.

Our motel was close too here. We walked it ourselves in a self guided tour. Lots of status and plaques too read. So many people died it really gives you more of a perspective on the sacrifices that were made. I couldn't believe all the graves marked unknown. You can easily walk through here in under two hours. So many rabbits were running around and were not even scared of us as we approached. If you have small children they will definitely be bored walking through here. Part of the cemetery was closed and blocked off so we were unable too walk it.

Historically Jenny Wade is known as the only Civilian killed in the three days Battle of Gettysburg. At twenty years old, baking bread for the Union soldiers, would prove to be fatal. The small home is incredibly still in tact and battle worn, with evident bullet holes and bullets lodged into the frame in which they've sat for the past century and a half. It is surreal to stand within the walls of the home and be told the events that had unfolded here. In all of the homes that I visited in Gettysburg, I think it was here in the Jenny Wade home that I was able to envision the battle from a civilian perspective the best and how horrific that side of the battle must have been, as well. Great tour, fair price, and friendly staff. A must stop location while trying to experience and understand the battle from all perspectives. My only dislike regarding the property is how commercialized the surrounding area has became. The home, is easily bypassed, sitting almost in the shadow of a rather looming hotel. While its easy to get lost in time from the inside, on the outside, the modernized surroundings makes it almost impossible to truly connect with the past. Recommended, following up this tour with a stop at the local cemetery where you can locate fairly easily Jenny's grave.

We visited on Easter Sunday due to not observing the holiday. They were open from 12pm-3pm which was appreciated! The workers were clad in time-appropriate fashions. The gift shop, upon entering, has so many neat nick-nacks and locally made crafts! Jennie's sister's house was quite a sobering experience that I will forever appreciate the opportunity to have had. Because I went early in the season, my family had a seven minute intro by a worker whom showed us the bullet holes, and then allowed us to tour the home on our own with the help of a detailed brochure. As we walked through the house on our self-guided tour, it was almost a more personal experience than if a guide were to walk with us. We were able to be alone in the kitchen where Jennie leaned over her dough tray, selflessly making biscuits for union soldiers. We were able to see the hole where her poor family carried her body to the neighbors house a down into the cellar where her body rested until it was safe to bury. This was a great place to stumble upon, and one that I was not aware of prior to planning my Gettysburg trip. Make sure to visit the place where an innocent civilian lost her life as a result of the Battle of Gettysburg.

Short tour. Very cool history. I'd definitely recommend this and stop at some local shops after doing the app tour of the battlefield. personal note there's no restrooms. you have to find one down the street somewhere. Found it very sad that she lost her life making biscuits after the bullet went through two doors. And I love biscuits and gravy....

Unfortunately we weren’t able to go in because the there were no more tours available on that day. But we roomed around the house and it was really nice. My fiancé put her finger through the bullet hole. If you you have been here, you probably know what this means. Poor Jennie.

Cool place to visit. The guide provides all the information you need before walking through the house. The basement was a little creepy because of the doll covered in the bed. The house is small so your tour will be short.

This place is super cool! Tons and tons of interesting and authentic items, mostly focused on war history, but with some cool Us Presidents items as well. There’s a lot of stuff in a small place, so you have to look closely to see everything. Some of the items are pretty gruesome, but tell an interesting story of history.

Tucked in and easily missed, if you're not careful! This is a locally owned gem of a museum where one can purchase artifacts within! Starting as a boy and receiving other neighbors' collections of Civil War items; this expanded into a variety of collectibles from many eras and walks of life. Strongly recommended as must visits.

We really enjoyed the Gettysburg museum and surrounding exhibits. After going through the indoor museum and exhibits, make sure to take some walks and do the entire driving tour. You become very familiar and oriented with this important event, and you can better relate to the people involved. There was so much to see that we spent an extra half-day to get as much in as possible. It was very interesting and informative, very well done!! We will be back.

Really cool stuff to see and very rare items. I think the guy running it has reached his end point of dealing with people visiting. No excitement left. I'd find new people with excitement and willingness to teach and talk to help. It's free so that cool.

This place is really cool. It is also free donations are recommended. They have stuff from the civil war along with other wars. Things from past presidents. So much packed into her and a lot of stuff is for sale. They have as seen on tv signs here. I guess the American picker guys have been here . They also have a small gift shop located in the back. Definitely recommend this place. Kids may find some stuff cool. Would definitely recommend going without kids so you can really take it all in. They have so much to see and read about. A must for any history enthusiast. I would say they had the biggest collection we saw while in Gettysburg.

It is an absolute shame how this man runs this place! He accepted special treasured war memorials from family members of World War II veterans. Now he is only open on weekends. His Internet site said he's only closed on Tuesdays. I'm a big fan of the History Traveler and made a special trip to see this place. I show up on a Wednesday and a sign says they're closed and only open on weekends. A UPS truck pulls up and a woman opens the door. I told her I drove up special from Florida to see the museum and she could not have shut the door fast enough and told me we're closed. I can't believe he accepted war treasures from The Band of Brothers members under these circumstances. It's my way of paying my respects as I go to each Museum to honor what the greatest generation has done. I was also prepared to make a large donation to the museum. I would think the wifes and children of these war heroes would want their veterans treasures back to go to a museum that would display them at least 6 days a week. I also can't believe the YouTube history Travelers series now attaches themselves to this third class Museum.

We drove up from York to see the museum and at first the kids weren't interested in going but once there they were enthralled with all to look at . It's amazing how much he has collected from the wars and presidents. As a military family we appreciate the care that was taken to preserve all the medals and military artifacts. Definitely worth walking through while visiting Gettysburg.

A beautiful sight seeing experience. This historic location is a must see place while visiting the battlefields of Gettysburg. Make sure to take lots of pictures and look up the history as well.

Eisenhower's farm is closed at this time because of covid and a shortage of workers. I drove to the house and peaked in the garage where his cars are. I saw the putting green and walked around the outside of the house. He had a windmill next to the house. The farm land was very well maintained. I didn't see any livestock.

What a beautiful and peaceful farm. Tour the grounds and the house at your own pace. House tours are free. Be sure to make the walk over to cattle and barn. You will find the most amazing view of the mountains and land from here. For those looking to add the National Park passport stamp to your collection, you will need to head over to the Gettysburg Vistor Center and Museum. They do not have stamps on-site. You will also not find a park patch or walking stick medallion for this site as they do not make them. I hope the National Park Service decides to change this for all of the National Parks and Historic Sites.

It was very timely that the historic house was open. You become very familiar with one of the greatest presidents in modern Era. The only hindrance is that you are bound by the bus schedule from the Gettysburg Visitors center. Though, the drivers and hosts are very nice and informative. Would have loved to see inside his cars, esp the Presidential limousine. Got several good pics of the rooms.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful. We were too late for an inside tour of the home but we got a great view of the exterior and it just is so well kept and you just feel the history on the ground. You can walk in the steps of world leaders that came to visit Ike and Mamie's home. Really can't say enough good things about this place!

You can find house tour if you go certain time and only 40 people then you need to wait next tour. You need almost 2 hours to see all area and house. It was a great tour. And if you visit to Gettysburg you can put this place on your agenda.

Didn't even feel like you were in the battlefield anymore! The staff were friendly, and the house/garden was very well preserved. Beautiful view too! We had a great time, definitely stop here if you are in the area or visiting the battlefields.

This was quite an amazing experience! We got to walk up to the house by parking on the farmstead side but not able to go inside. I was impressed how well kept and beautiful everything was. Super cool to walk in the same pathways that Eisenhower stepped.

A gem of a National Park that is near Gettysburg National battlefield but most don't know it exists. Definitely worth a trip. Staff was knowledgeable, buildings are well maintained and the site has a lot of enthusiastic volunteers which add to the experience.

On a recent trip to Gettysburg, we stopped in for a pint and a snack. The experience was simply wonderful so we went back the next day for another round! On the second visit, the bartender delighted us by remembering our drink order from the day before! Two Guinness and a Harp! This may seem small but it's little things like this that make a big impression. Highlights: - Authentic Irish Pub - Food was fresh and delicious. Everything ordered was excellent. - Perfect Guinness pour. The first visit I ordered the Irish Onion Soup (Made with Guinness). Sorry I didn't snap a photo of it because it was awesome! The next visit I had the Lamb Burger, with Onion Rings and it was delicious. Cooked perfectly with a great lamb flavor. I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in town!

Excellent restaurant / pub in what looks like a good looking historic building. The wings were very good, the fish and chips were good, Irish stew was very good and the bread pudding was delicious. The staff was super helpful with things to do questions and food suggestions. Excellent place to have a great meal in a cozy place.

Excellent food and staff! The sticky toffee pudding was divine 😻. The onion soup with Guinness is yummy. Magners cider ❤️❤️ pork chop on the bone with a creamy gravy was so tender. The skillet chocolate chip cookie was a sundae and so good. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was the best Irish I have had in a while.

I live 20 minutes down the road from this gem, and I'm so grateful. absolutely amazing and authentic Irish food. The draft list is wonderful as well. Service is always top notch whether we dine in or just sit at the bar. We always start off with a beer and a scotch egg. Another amazing food tip is the bangers and mash. Pair that with the Stubborn Irish Prig and you are seeing heaven, friends. Just 🤌

The food was so hot and fresh. Must have is the Irish soda bread - could be a meal by itself. My husband said the Caesar salad was the best he has had. We sat at the bar and could order from the full menu. Anne was super attentive and friendly. Our water was constantly filled which was great on a hot, long day. Even the fries were great and I’m not typically a fries person. The 10 oz fish is way larger than it sounds!

Enjoyed the food. I ordered the Reuben and crab bisque. Hubby ordered the Irish Stew. Well cooked. The onion rings were crispy and delicious too! Kelsey our waitress was very friendly and attentive to our needs.

Scotch eggs were under seasoned however the onion rings were fantastic. The fish and chips and Sheperds pie were great. Wait staff was very attentive and food was brought to the table quickly. Will definitely be back.

First time for the pub. Walking around and decided to go in to the pub and glad we did! Awesome atmosphere definitely busy for a Sunday afternoon. Great service, all the waiters and waitresses were hustling to serve all the tables. Food came out quick, hot and with lots of flavor. Would love to come back to taste some of the dinner specials later in the evening! Make it a stop when in town!! 7/1/23 Third time I’ve come in and the food has been great every time. The outdoor seating is a great break from hearing the traffic out front. Nice date night venue

First time here. In town for a military reunion. My fellow vets and I decided to check it out. We are Cavalry troopers and for the Cavalry...Gary Owens holds a place near and dear to our hearts. Service was prompt. The servers were friendly and attentive. We tried the Scotch eggs which were great. Several of us had Shephard pie and a custom double patty burger. We will be back if ever in town.

Stopped by on the way back to New Jersey and wished I lived in Gettysburg because I would be at Kevin & Joanne's pub every weekend! What's not to love here when you have over 200 whiskeys and beers to choose from!!! We enjoyed a late lunch in the beautiful outside dining area! We had wonderful Shepherd's Pie and Fried Oysters Sandwich!! Did I tell you the French fries are very hot and crispy!! The interior bar and dining halls are so nicely furnished for a true Irish Pub experience!!

Walked in for one beer, walked out with a full belly and a bag of leftovers. If you have a big appetite, this is your place. The bartender warned me that the portions are big. He was not lying. I ordered the Stromboli and the Wing Fry’s ( beer battered fry’s tossed in out sauce covered with blue cheese dressing then sprinkled with blue cheese and broiled) the Stromboli was a meat and cheese filled delight and the fry’s were bursting with flavor. I tried my best but could not finish this meal and threw in the towel and asked for 2 boxes. With one half of a Stromboli and nearly a pound of fry’s still left I walked out in defeat. My left overs served as a breakfast and lunch for the next day. I will be back!!

The food is great. The drink selection is great. But don't go with loud friends or you'll find out you're cut off by the second drink. Poor assumption on their part without a discussion, but definitely won't stop us from going back.

Our server seemed to be the slowest of those working but the rest of the experience was good. The food was excellent. I had tomato bisque in a bread bowl which was rich and flavorful and the bread bowl was perfect. Crusty on the outside but soft on the inside so you could pull bits off with the spoon to eat with the soup. My wife had the spaghetti grilled cheese and we're plotting how we can replicate that at home because it was awesome. Prices were not tourist trap killers either.

Came here for dinner last night. It was St. Patty's but the atmosphere was great -- very lively and customers and staff alike were in good spirits. The food was very good, and reasonably priced. Our server (Sarah) was great and on her recommendation ended up ordering the meatloaf just to try a bite and take home because we weren't that hungry. French Onion Soup - one of the better french onion soups I've had. Included a pretzel twist which I thought was a nice touch. I wouldn't have minded a bit more cheese but otherwise it was top notch. Spinach Salad with Salmon - Sarah recommended the sweet poppy seed dressing and she was right on the money. The salmon was beautifully cooked and well seasoned and the spinach and other salad components were very fresh. Meatloaf - the star of the show, in my opinion. Just look at the other reviews featuring meatloaf on this platform. The gravy and mashed potatoes were also great. The menu has a lot to offer and we may yet try a few more items before we leave town. Def recommend.

Restaurant was beautiful! Very lovely atmosphere! The food looked beautiful however, it did not please the taste buds. We ordered chicken wings and they had no flavor to them. The French onion soup tasted soggy. The Buffalo fries were okay but, soggy would have been better if they were perhaps cooked longer. We even had a jolly rancher cocktail and it tasted watery. Unfortunately everything just tasted off.

Great meal, fair price, nice atmosphere Service: everyone was friendly. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Took a bit for our entrees to arrive, but we managed. Food: very good. The French onion was top notch and a very generous portion. Meatloaf was good, as was the sweet potato soup and chicken wrap. Dessert: get the cake! I completely forgot to take a picture of my food before tearing it up 😀. I am a foodie and all I could say, this Blackened Catfish, is ONO. It is cooked to perfection, seasoned with southern spices (Alabama spices) , on a bed of veggies smothered with sweet chili sauce, with a little spicy kick. I am very happy with the food. I also like to explore and taste local beer, so I had a glass of Lollipop from Hershey PA. It's an IPA but with a smoother taste/flavor. It is very refreshing and perfect match with my unique fusion meal. The ambiance is perfect in a small town of Gettysburg. And a big shout out to Courtney. She is amazing 🙂 I really love seeing restaurant servers with positive and upbeat attitude. It makes the mood more enjoyable and pleasant.

My husband and I dined in at the Pub today while we were visiting Gettysburg and I have to say the food was amazing! Such great flavor and very filling. The portions are HUGE and we ended up leaving with lots of boxes :) The prices are super fair as it is but when you see the size it’s nothing. We ate the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer, my husband had the chipotle pulled pork and I ordered the French onion soup with the appetizers Cuban sliders which are humongous.

I would like to start with: this restaurant is very charming and comfortable. I would give it a 5-star rating for atmosphere and friendly and competent staff. I am giving it 4-star because the food was only slightly better than average. Our server, Katie, was very friendly and attentive. I had the Corned Beef Special. It was ok.. nothing special to “write home about”. The corn fritters were good. My wife had the French Dip. She said it was okay, but not as good as what I make at home. We also shared the Pretzel Sticks with beer cheese.. also good but nothing special. The outside is awash with beautiful flowering plants that made it very inviting. We were just “passing through” so it was fun to stop there. I’m glad that we did, but having done it now, I would probably try some other place next time through Gettysburg. If you are looking for a fun place, give it a try. Just don’t expect 5-star food.

i ordered the chicken chesapeake with french fries and coleslaw. the chicken and was wonderful! very well cooked and the crab sauce on top of it complimented it extremely well, seasoned very strategically with either old bay or paprika, wasn’t able to tell. the french fries were also excellent, very crispy and a good portion. however, i cannot speak well to the coleslaw or to the garnish of greens on the plate, the coleslaw was very basic and plain tasting, and the greens looked very old and sad. very good overall, but i would skip if you are big on leafy greens or any sort of vegetable. great service!! but the smell was a little unwelcoming. overall a 6/10.

What a hoot. Didn't realize we would be there for bike week. Had a great time eating in the patio and watching the bikers go by. The food was pretty good, my meatloaf sandwich was a bit overdone but still tasted ok. My wife had the chicken and crab sandwich, which she enjoyed. Service was good, pleasant, and attentive.

Fast and friendly. Big portions too. Enjoyed the Irish coffee at the end. Corned beef on my salad was not as tender as I would have liked but very tasty.

Stopped in here after our first choice had too long of a wait. We were in a little bit of a hurry but even with a group of 6 we got in and out in a little under an hour without feeling like we were rushing to eat. The food came out reasonably quickly after we ordered (but not so quickly that it had to have been made in advance), and our waitress was super friendly and did a great job of making sure we got in and out. I had the salmon entrée with coleslaw and corn fritters sides. The salmon was cooked well and the seasoning was very tasty. Coleslaw was very basic (just green cabbage and dressing) but it was good. The fritters were probably also pretty standard but I don't think I've actually had corn fritters before so it was new to me, and I really liked them. Nice and fluffy inside. If I return to Gettysburg, I'd want to try again to go to one of the classic American taverns, but this is definitely a safe choice as an alternative. The food was good and the hospitality of our waitress plus the nice patio made it a great time even though it wasn't what we'd originally planned.

Quality food. Surprisingly quick service even when busy. Best shepherd's pie I have had in my life. Serves Coke (a must). Can't wait to go back the next time we're in Gettysburg.

The atmosphere is nice, it looks like an old Irish pub. Lots of people when I was here. The service was adequate. Forgot quite a few things. Granted, I was in a party of 10, however they never stopped moving from table to table. The crab dip was good, but not worth $20. The Guinness Cheese Dip was amazing however. Grandma loved the French Onion Soup. I had the Marinara pasta, It was great and it came with a side. Everyone enjoyed their food so that's a plus.

Delish! We stopped here for a quick bite to eat, not wanting too much since he knew we had dinner reservations coming up soon, But also didn't want to starve until then. Wife and I settled on splitting the authentic shepherd's pie And the waitress was so nice and thoughtful as to have them split it into two separate individual cups for us without us even asking. It was the perfect serving size for us and amazingly delicious. We also got a side of the corn fritters and they were very good as well. In the perfect location for a lunch while browsing the shops downtown.

O'rorke's was a nice place to grab dinner after we finished the auto tour of the battle of Gettysburg. They have a good menu with a variety of options and a decent dimension of beers on tap. The staff were attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food was good and the portions were just about right, we all had a little leftover.

Ate here today with my wife while visiting Gettysburg. It’s a very typical Irish bar fare, with Bangers and Mash, Shepherd’s Pie plus lots of burgers. Nice selection of local beers to choose from and everything is reasonably priced. The corn fritters were excellent and so was the large pretzel covered in seafood and cheese. Large servings that will fill you up!!!

We got there late, so the bartender waited on us, did a great job too. The patio was amazing, especially since we had it all to ourselves. Will stop again.

Food was ok. We received our order quickly. I like the decor and atmosphere. Some staff appeared friendly, while others stared at my son in his wheelchair. Overall, good place to grab a bite after visiting Gettysburg.

A quaint little place in Gettysburg. Atmosphere is comfy with baseball memorabila. Service was good, food was okay. I thought the menu was a little pricey, but lots of options. The Eddie's punch was good! Not sure we would return but glad we tried it.

Very good place! We were seated quickly and our waitress was very accommodating. She lugged two jugs of dressing to the table and back just so we could check if they were gluten free. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food came quickly and was great. The Chicken Quesadilla was superb. Very easy to get to; it's right on the main road. I also liked the baseball theme of the restaurant. Overall a very good experience. Be sure to stop by if you need a lunch spot.

This is our third trip to Gettysburg and FINALLY we found a place to eat that checks all the boxes! Great food, service, and atmosphere. The food was delicious and our server was pleasant and attentive! We got there before the dinner rush so our experience was quick too! We didn't have to wait long for anything. Definitely recommend and will return!

This is the second time I have eaten here. I don't live in Gettysburg, so choosing to eat here twice instead of trying another new place says something. Both times I had an attentive waitress and was served great food. I was wowed by the Philly Cheese Steak, but not so much for the house Hero sandwich. It was still good though. The homemade gingerbread dessert was really unique. I liked it, but if you don't like fresh ginger don't try it. This is worth the stop if your in this area.

Amazing Philly cheesesteak with homemade cheese sauce. Fries are so crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Buffalo chicken quesadilla is CHOCK full of chicken. Their house made ranch is outstanding as well. We had Terry as our server and he was so kind and attentive despite the busyness! Our glasses were never empty. Cool atmosphere too! Definitely stop by this one!

Shrimp & crab bisque was a little salty, but still really good! We liked that it had little shrimp and other bits in the soup. The salmon with lemon dill drizzle was perfectly cooked! He added the crab dip the the cheeseburger, a fantastic combination. The burger was cooked exactly the way he asked, also very good! We were sat upstairs which is a bit of a tight fit. Our 2 top table was a bit small and pretty close to the tables around us, but we made it work. Small bathrooms. Overall, good experience!

We loved the baseball theme! The restaurant stays true to the overall atmosphere and it’s very cozy and exciting. My boyfriend ordered a foot long hotdog and it was extravagant. The carrot cake was delicious and the cocktails were very good as well. The server was pretty busy with tables but ensured we were refilled and satisfied. I’d eat here again!

We arrived at 12:25...lunch time. Got the last table in the house...a high top in the bar area. There were folk waiting out front for a table in the restaurant section as there is no "wait" area inside the building. Atmosphere was comfortable. Family-type place... comfortable for families with kids...as well as families with grandparents. Burgers. Haddock. Salads. "American" food. Dinners. Appetizers. Beers on tap. Nice menu. Reasonable prices. Good food...served piping hot...and quickly! A very nice surprise since all tables were full! Bar atmosphere is a little stark. Restaurant offers a much "homier" decor. Didn't affect the quality of the food, though. Personally, I love the way the name just sorta "rolls off your tongue" when you say it. Kinda makes you smile. Gettysburg Eddie's.

Great environment. Great service. Good food. Awesome beer choices. I've lived beside Gettysburg my entire life but had never been here til this past weekend. We ended up getting the Philly cheese steak and the black and blue burger with grilled onions and bacon. Both meals were sensational and HUGE. We'll be back!

This was my first time ever eating here, inside the restaurant was really nice and I really enjoyed the baseball theme. The food was all mainly good with the cheesecake and fries being the best. I would definitely order both of those again. I got the chicken tenders and they were really good except they had some hard and chewy pieces I couldn’t eat and ending up resulting in about 1 tender worth of inedible bites, but it did come with 5 total. My bf got the firecracker shrimp tacos and did enjoy those. However I got the Mac and cheese and I did not enjoy that at all. It had hardly any flavor and I could only eat a few bites after drowning it in salt and pepper and even then I only took a few bites because I didn’t enjoy it much. I would come here again for a few things I ate but definitely not the mac and cheese or possibly the tenders. Also not sure if they have somewhere to park bc I couldn’t see a place and ended up having to use a meter, which coming from Florida where I never even see meters where I live, it was weird but only $2 for 2 hours so not bad.

We were referred to this restaurant by a friend. It was crowded, but they were able to seat us quickly. Our server was really nice, and she made sure we had what we needed. We ordered Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches. They were delicious! If you love baseball, you will love the atmosphere here. Definitely go here if you are in the area.

Tommy's Pizza was always an overwhelming wait every time I'd went to Gettysburg. Word on the street was, it was the best Pizza in town and it'd take me many trips before finally finding the trick of getting into here, which was, go during slow season! At last I've finally tried Tommy's and the wait, and fuss are more understandable now. Prices were seemingly more expensive by comparison to some Pizza places, but it was indeed some of the most fulfilling and satisfying pizzas I've ever had. Customer service was good, helpful while ordering and quick to have the food out at a fast pace without a hit to quality. The restaurant was spacious, lots of indoor and outdoor seating. It was clean, welcoming and comfortable. Pizza on the strip of Gettysburg, at Tommy's, is a definite must do..

By far this is one of the best if not the best pizza in Gettysburg. The crust and toppings are perfect. My family loves this pizzeria. They opened in 1973. I honestly love this place. Grab a cold beer and eat some pizza with the person you love and watch the youngsters enjoy their 🍕😋 Highly recommend!!

I remember going to Tommy's many years ago and really enjoying their pizza. I spent a day in Gettysburg with my husband who has never been and we ended our day with what I thought would be the "best pizza." Parking was a struggle. The spots are limited and the lot itself is a very odd shape and hard to get out of. When we first walked in, there were many people gathered near the counter area and we didn't know what to do, if it was seat yourself, order then sit down, etc., some signs would be nice. We ordered and tried to find a table. Seating was limited so we went to the spaces they had around the corner but the booths were near their bathrooms which smelled horrific coming through the doors so we had to sit elsewhere. The wait was something to be expected with how busy they were I guess (~30 minutes). When orders are ready, the staff lets customers know their order number over an intercom system that was far too loud for my liking and hurt my ears every 3 minutes. When our pizza was ready I was so disappointed when I saw it. We just ordered a large cheese and the cheese on the pizza was completely burnt. I saw some other pizzas around us look burnt like ours but others seemed fine so I don't know if this is their style or what. Sadly, overall it was not a pleasant experience. I really did not like the atmosphere and the pizza was disappointing. I asked my husband if he liked the pizza at all and his reply was "well, it's not the worst I've had."

Great place for a quick bite to eat. Authentic Italian pizza/sub/sandwich shop. Kids friendly and the place it pretty clean and tighty. The Italian sausage sandwich was the bomb but kind of on the small side. However, the portion for the pizza was pretty decent. Big and tasty! Price was reasonable as well if you get the meal options which include a drink and a bag of chip.

I've heard about this place for years but kept putting it off chalking it up to "it's just pizza." We started here by sharing a single slice of pizza. We ended our night by taking a large pizza back to our hotel. The crust is crunchy but soft, the cheese is plentiful and the toppings can be a la cart. What's awesome is that we're just the next town over, so we can get our Tommy's craving anytime.

“Tommy’s Tiny Pizza” is our new name for this place. Ordered a large one topping pizza and got a 13” pie for over $16. We’ve ordered pizza here before and remembered them being larger so I asked the guy at the checkout counter if what we received was indeed a large and he said “yes”. Perfect example of “shrinkflation” I guess. Not paying $16 for a tiny pizza again but gave them two stars because it really does taste better than the chain restaurants.

What a great place! Tommy's makes an incredible pie. Their slices are affordable and the staff is really friendly. I think there are a couple of pizza places in Gettysburg but I have yet to try a better slice than I've had at Tommy's. It's a great place to sit and eat.

Incredible pizza. Excellent crust, toppings to the edge. Serves wings, salads and subs also. Everything so good.

We drive about 35 miles to get this pizza. I've never had any other quite like it! Amazing soft crust and perfect proportions of cheese, sauce and toppings! We will always keep coming back.
