I love downtown Galveston! The architecture is beautiful! Lots of great shops and bars.

The ice cream is always good. I got mint chocolate chip, hubby got banana walnut. Had to get taffy.

It's a good time. Chocolate shops, ice-cream shops, Otis Spunkmeyer cookies, beef jerky shop, souvenirs.... anything a tourist could want!

So happy they stopped letting the fake bikes (slingshots) block up the strand.

Go to The Strand during off season. Not as crowded. Great shops and foods.

Great places everywhere. Would go back to shop and eat anytime.

I’ve lived in Texas for a few years now, this was my first time going to Moody Gardens and it was so fun! We ended up doing the membership. $100 for the value pass versus $165 for the annual pass (online there was a discount which made the annual passes about $140). The holiday lights were lovely but some of the faces were a bit odd/mangled looking on the characters. Otherwise 10/10 on those ice sculptures. Insanely beautiful and they provided parkas for visitors to use. Literally the most beautiful display of ice sculpting that I’ve ever seen. Fun mini train, slide and skating rink for kids. The rainforest was lush and stunning. So peaceful. The aquarium was playful and delightful. The critters were very active and the facility was a great environment. We didn’t make it to the discovery museum this visit but definitely add this to your list of to-dos!

No amount of photos can do this place justice. On my Galveston vacation, I constantly saw the three pyramids looming on the horizon across the bay and I just kept thinking "I don't care how much it costs, I am going to go there." Holy moly, it did cost quite a pretty penny, BUT it's an all day experience. The first pyramid housed land animals; lots of cool looking birds and a big colony of fruit bats. Some of the birds were allowed to free roam, so we sat and watched them for a while. It's absolutely gorgeous inside, with a walk through the "rainforest" that was visually impressive. The second pyramid was an aquarium, with just about everything you can think of. I was just amazed by how much they could fit in there. The third pyramid was the museum of sound. They had a bunch of different instruments and equipment demonstrating how sound waves travel. It was very interactive and we spent a lot of time in there. I do know there is a ferry ride they offer during the summer months, but it wasn't in operation when we were there. All in all, I felt I more than got my money's worth and I left feeling so grateful I decided to go!

Our family's first time staying here as we usually stay at another chain where we earn and use our hotel points. However, I was attending an event at the conference center there, so we decided to try it. Upon check-in, we were greeted pleasantly. Front desk receptionists were polite and friendly. We got to our room to find it was handicap accessible so they layout was funky. We called front desk and they said we requested it and as I was the one who booked it I knew I had not....no problem they changed our room. We ended up in bigger room but upon arriving in the room we realized the floor hadn't been vacuumed. There were food crumbs, a drink bottle wrapper, and lint all over the floor. No biggie we kept our shoes on and dealt with it. We went on the balcony and peering back into the room there was a dead cockroach in the window sill. 🤢 You can tell the hotel is old but somewhat updated. During the night our AC unit went haywire and made horrific noises that awoke us. I barely got any sleep. I recorded some of the noise and at checkout I informed the front desk but she only replied she would have maintenance check it. No I'm sorry, no compensation. My 9 yr old complained all day from being tired. Very frustrating day dealing with an exhausted, unconsoleable child. That being said, the grounds are great, offers so much to do. We had a pizza and ice cream from their shop and it was excellent. Indoor pool was freezing, but outdoor pool offers a lot for the guests. great swim up pool bar. They are installing ice land for winter months. It looks very fun. We will consider going but not sure we will stay at the hotel again. For the price we paid, not a good room at all. Also, the room keys are paper, yet you need it to enter pool and get back in your room, not realistic at all. I don't think I've ever had a paper key before.

This place is great! It's really good for young children but we enjoyed it as well. A lot of great educational things and amazing animals. The place is kept very clean and friendly staff. Glad we went while on our vacation from Colorado.

A must see amazing place. We did overnight camping with the scouts and had a tour of the aquarium. The aquarium is fantastic with diverse flora, fauna and aquatic creatures. We got to choose where we could sleep among three locations within the aquarium. The hosts were very great and provided an engaging and informative experience during the aquarium tour. 130$ for 2 adults and 2 kids under 12 for only the aquarium! It was about an hour

Fantastic place! The price was worth it. We used our military discount at the gate. It's worth buying the full pass, it pays for itself just by seeing 1 attraction. However, I think the museum needs more to see.

Took my family to this hotel this year. Unfortunately, the food hotel restaurant was completely was inedible, and there was only one microwave located in the laundry room near the parking garage. However, the views, pyramids and waterpark for 5 to 12-year-olds were great! It was also nice NOT having a theme in your face like other vacation resorts. We went early in the summer, so the new hires knew nothing about the place, but they tried their best, and I'm happy they had staff.

This was such a cool place! We did the zip line, rope course and went to the rainforest and aquarium! All neat places. The water part wasn't up for season yet, but we spent all day doing the other things. There were butterflies and beautiful flowers/plants at the steps and parking. The food court was nice with multiple options including a restaurant with buffet. I would definitely reccomend for families.

Our first time at Moody Gardens was incredible! We went during the week to avoid crowds and it definitely paid off. The different pyramids of exhibits are organized really well, our favorite was the rain forest! We got to see a sloth up close and stroll around looking at exotic birds and even walk with some! The aquarium part is so amazing, filled with knowledge about the gulf and the sea creatures that inhabit it.

Great stop if you are looking for something to do in Galveston island. Different attractions to explore. I purchased the value pack. The highlight of the experience was the rainforest and 3D movie 🍿 Africa. A bit pricey. However, the area is taken care of. Friendly staff. I went on a weekday and the environment was easy to navigate. Worth going.

A nice place to go with kids. In the winter months check the schedule an make sure they are open. An what rides are open. There was 3 rides down when we went. The kids still had a blast. It wasn't busy with the weather being foggy. It was a bummer you couldn't see far at all when you were up on the rides but there wasn't a line at any of the rides so that was super nice. Staff was polite an helpful.

Some of the staff suck. Lazy as heck. Like when I bought my ticket the person shoved the braclets out and turned off her mic and ignored me pretending she couldn’t hear me when I tried to ask her something. Loser. Some of the rides had long lines. Like the Ferris wheel. And log ride. Note you can’t ride the Ferris wheel as a single rider. You must go with someone they told us. So my daughter couldn’t ride it. If you got a single child I suggest you buy a ride pass for yourself even if you get dizzy on rides. The single ride tickets are expensive ranging from $7.50 for extreme rides, $6.50 for family rides and $5.50 for kiddie rides. I’ve posted a pic. As for food and drinks you can buy a $10 refillable souvenir tumbler that’s $1 to refill. Pic of food menu attached too. Photo of you on the ride is $20. Expensive given price of ride bracelet.

It is a really fun time if you've never been before. There is a good balance of fun rides for big kids and adults. Like most parks like this, you will need cash if you plan on playing any games or buying food. Also, they do offer adult drinks. Otherwise, you only need your wristband.

This place is amazing! For February they had a $20 all day ride pass. It was freezing cold but the rides were open and my family walked up to most of the lines. All of the staff were super friendly and kept a fantastic attitude even with the poor weather. The grounds were very clean and the rides well maintained. Don't miss the family memories you will make here.

Fun themed pier. Place has good and fun rides, arcade and game stalls. They also have good food options there. You have different options for a pass. You can choose a walk-in pass if you are just there to enjoy ocean view (you cannot enjoy the rides with walk in pass) or a all day pass if you want to enjoy the rides. Arcade and game stalls are not included in this pass. We have to pay to play. Recommend to visit this place for fun and good beach time.

I came here for the first time tonight fully expecting a huge crowd, long lines, and rude people. We could not have been more wrong. We went on Friday evening an hour before dark. Expected long wait times for the rides, but there were no lines. Weather was good, breezy and 75 degrees. To our surprise, the pier was not remotely crowded, guests were mainly families. Staff was helpful, and only one ride was closed for maintenance. We did all the rides, had ice cream, and enjoyed the pier and view. There’s enough variety with the rides to satisfy kids, teens and adults. We were thinking we would be there the entire evening, but since it wasn’t crowded, we were able to ride several rides multiple times, get ice cream, play some games, and had done everything in 2 hours. Enjoyed it! My nine year old had a blast.

This place was unknown to us. Our youngest daughter came across it while they were out exploring alone and it was well worth visiting. It seemed like a palace it was so cool on the outside and the history and architecture and marble fireplaces were so awesome to see. We went to several places this week while in Galveston and this was probably my favorite.

Exquisite workmanship and art surviving many storms, self guided tour was lovely. We even got to see the butler areas with lifts- it’s a lot to manage a home with over 50 rooms! Architectural historians list the Bishop’s Palace as one of the most significant of Victorian residences in the country. Even the chapel was gorgeous with stained glass, carvings, sculptures, and paintings. We got the Package deal to see this and Moody Mansion, and well worth it! Gift shop was also amazing in the basement.

Very interesting audio tour. It's $15 per adult $9 for children. 2 floors of the home are open for a self guided audio tour. Friendly staff and engaging facts about the home.

Quite an exquisite house to visit. It is mostly unfurnished as they only want to have pieces that belonged to the actual residents. You get an audio guide device which talks about the main rooms and gives some interesting information and otherwise you are on your own to tour. Allow about an hour.

This is a must see every time we are in Galveston. It has one of the best self-guided audio tours and is easy to use. Make sure to stop by the gift shop on the way out. Nice, clean restrooms.

We arrived just as they opened for the day. So we had the place to roam by ourselves for a while. The guided tour system lets you go at your own pace. The staff are super friendly and informative. Truly amazing building. Also a huge selection of gifts in the gift shop.

Good interior of the palace. One of the main attractions in Galveston. Fee is 15NZD. No parking. Just park by the roadside if any. Learn about the history of the father. Nice palace for picturess

History that continues on. Bishop house is amazing in details. The craftsmanship that was used in construction of this structure is absolutely beautiful. Stained glass windows are gorgeous. Suprising to see a walk in shower not sure when it was put in. The paintings were really nice. If you have the time it is worth the trip. Go slow and get your moneys worth.

This is a beautiful place to visit and learn the history of Galveston Island. I grew up close, and this was the first time I had ever been inside. The wife and I love visiting the historical places when we take a trip. This is a great place to visit, and you learn a lot and how it helped shape Galveston.

From what we saw in the gift shop, and on the patio this place is definitely very cool! We didn’t have the chance to do the tour this day but we will definitely be back to do the double tour of Bishop Palace and Moody Mansion. The grounds, patio and gift shop are good enough to peak your interest. The architecture is also exquisite!

We’ve been here twice and love it! I really like that the tour is at your own pace, so you can take time to admire or go back to certain things. We bought tickets in advance online, which cut our wait time down to nothing - we were also one of the first ones there which helped a ton too.

A fun and educational place for adults and kids. You'll be surprised that crude oil isn't just sitting. It's being manufactured by nature over 100's of years. Some of the rigs out at sea are standing on platforms as tall as the empire state building. The museum could use some updating (and a little marketing and programming would bring up attendance) but we enjoyed.

For those in the industry, a great educational tool to show your kids the biz. Surprisingly has a good amount of visitors. There’s 3 levels and a 15 minute video. Two outdoor levels to visit. Parking is $16 in adjacent lot. $2.25/hour on the street.

It is a super interesting place. I had no idea of the technis and technology that the oil and gas industry came up with. I liked all the miniature models. The only thing is that the place actually smells like oil; by the end of the tour I was starting to feel kind of dizzy. Overall very interesting and informative.

A really educational and interesting museum! Three floors of information, a 15 minute video available to describe all procedures on oil and petroleum production and mainly the drilling, interactive features, real equipment to touch, audio descriptions of the museum, pictures of the real plant when in use years ago, self pace tour, highly recommended!

A small, interesting and educational museum, which provides insight into the oil drilling rigs. It has some mock-ups , video tutorials and charts to explain equipment , machinery used in the real world drilling and oil mining. It is a quick tour museum which is nice to experience place for people interested in oceans, mining and huge machinery. This place provides information about the past, evolution of the process, time and complexity involved in it. Don’t expect too much, rather a quick exposure to the above mentioned.

The good: Very informative . Good info on oil offshore business. Loved all the videos and miniatures. If you are disabled there is a working elevator so that was definitely a plus. The bad: Unfortunately the birds had gotten to the outside of the facility and very gross. Muggy on the inside and stinks.

This decommissioned jack up rig is a converted museum offering a replete look at the world of offshore drilling. If you may try to read every bit of information allow for several hours, but even a few minutes spent there and you will come away having learned something. All the displays are quite informative and detailed. Speaking of info... the nearby parking is not cheap if you use the adjacent lots.

We had a good time exploring the museum. It has 3 air conditioned levels with many educational exhibits, and some interesting outside exhibits. You can also see the Battleship Texas in drydock from the rig.

All the ladies in the morning breakfast are fantastic. Best breakfast I ever had at any hotel hands down much respect 🙏. Location is perfect. The night lady in lobby is super sweet and very business friendly. Ate at Nick's in parking lot. Not bad not over the top. The bartender and waiter were pleasant. I don't really care for the lay out of hotel it's a little confusing at 1st. Room was nice but not very clean 😕 sand and ashes on counter. Overall on price this is a great place to stay. Better than a resort.

Went to this restaurant for my birthday a few days ago. I had crab cakes and ceviche and my boyfriend had the salmon. We got the chocolate mousse for dessert. Everything we got was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was so nice, you walk in and they already have tablecloths and glasses on the tables, it felt very upscale. They even bring you a small bowl of warm lemon water to clean your hands after you eat. Definitely will be coming back here!

First of all, this restaurant has so many years from 1911, this is a reflection of the quality of their food. Very classic, elegant and the most important to me the freshest of the seafood. This is my second time visiting Galveston and I will keep visiting for this kind of restaurant that makes the food so delicious and makes you to come back. I just enjoyed the food but next time I will take the pictures. Also, our waitress was her name, Chelsea, she offered us a wonderful service and so nice that made us so special, we are so thankful to her. The price are reasonable for the type of food, I think is in between not expensive and not cheap. I totally recommend this place at least try once and you will come back again.

My wife and I are in Galveston for a weekend getaway and this was our first stop. We were greeted immediately and had a brief wait to be seated (I don't think it was even 15 minutes). I thought it took some time for us to be initially served but once David did serve us, he was excellent. We started with a round of drinks at the bar and met some really cool people. The Bartender was a little abrasive but not so much that it was an issue. Once seated, we ordered the Onion Stack and dinner. The onion stack was disappointing. It wasn't well put together at all. Then we waited a long time for our entrees. It was late so the kitchen wasn't really busy but our wait was outside of 20 minutes. We both ordered the 16 oz ribeye- hers medium and mine medium well. I think mine was a little undercooked and hers a little over but the taste was spot on. The manager did offer us a complimentary dessert. Overall, it was a pretty good experience but for the price, location, and seemingly semi-fine dining appeal, step up the service.

It was even better than the last few times we had been there which was a few years ago. My compliments to the chef. Cliff was our waiter and took good care of us. I had the grilled scallops with asparagus and it was delicious! My son had the fried shrimp. I would have preferred all the staff wear masks though. I'm still a little paranoid about Covid. But apart from that everything was nice. We had a window seat with a nice view of the beach.

Went here for lunch before taking our son to A&M. We are all very pleasantly surprised by the freshness and quality of our food! We had the seafood tower, and everything was perfect. The raw oysters and shrimp were so tasty. One of us also ordered the steak salad, and she said it was better than what she was expecting. The pecan pie is a definite must try!!! The pecans instead of a regular crust just did me in. I was already so full, but could not stop eating! Service was a bit slow, but the friendliness and care offered by our server and the food quality… well that’s what earns my 5 star review.

What a great experience. The service was very professional. The staff was very well organized and move the guest through very efficiently without feeling rushed. From the bread to the desserts, the food was top notch. Make sure you get your reservations early in the day as they have a multiple hour wait otherwise.

Visiting Galveston and heard about this place from some locals. The wife and I had a fantastic meal, drinks, and service. Even gave us free dessert because it almost our anniversary. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

I highly recommend this place for dinner, the atmosphere is amazing and great service. The only thing I would say is when I made my reservations online I specifically said to be seated somewhere in the corner and they sat me completely opposite of what I requested. Other than that, the food was so good and you must ask for Kevin to service he was top notch! The Lobster Mac N Cheese is amazing and their bread is addictive. This is definitely a place to try and you won’t regret it.

Wow! Everything was on point. Food was exceptional, from the fried calamari, to grilled fish and chowder. The calamari were so perfectly fried, and super crispy. Amazing with the sauce they give you. The underdog of the meal was the crab and corn chowder - simply amazing. It tasted like home although I never had anything like this. Absolutely amazing! And everything is so affordable! What a gem in a town like Galveston, where there is very limited amount of things to do.

Very good food and service. Visited here on a Sunday around 4 and had the hush puppies, crab Benedict, fried calamari rings, and seawall special. For the Seawall Special I picked the blackened basa fish and fried shrimp with my side of crab dressing (what they put in the crab cakes). Everything tasted good and fresh and service was prompt and welcoming.

This was a unplanned visit to the grill. Love the Texan hospitality and friendliness from everyone, worked and customers! I didn’t order any uniquely Texan cuisine, I just got the eggs Benedict and it was great. The other food did look and smell delicious. Maybe I’ll order next time!

One of the best dining experiences I've had. Highly recommend trying to get a seat next to a window facing the ocean, it's sooo nice! The food was exceptional, the fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. The shrimp was amazing and my wife absolutely loved the shrimp quesadilla. The biggest surprise to me though, was the crab dip! Man was that good, it was my first time trying it and I'm convinced that I'll never find a better version. Definitely give this place a try, 10/10

Great service. Our server Elizabeth was super sweet and attentive. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Gumbo was amazing. I wanted to get another bowl to go. Soup of the day wasn’t great. Beef vegetable with no beef and soggy vegetables in tomato soup. We shared the Miller’s Platter. First time having a crab ball, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was crispy on the outside and creamy and flavorful on the inside. The fried oyster was fresh and juicy. I loved the grilled fish, nice and buttery. Good fried shrimp. Extensive menu. Breakfast all day looked so good. I will definitely be back.

The sign outside reads, 'you can't miss breakfast, we serve it all day', and after eating here, I know why. You WONT want to miss it. From the minute you enter you are smiles at and greeted by everyone working. The decor is lacquered wood and very cozy. I ordered the 2 eggs w meat and was also given hash browns and a homemade biscuit. The entire meal was bursting with quality and flavor. The biscuit was soft inside and buttery w a little crispness on the outside. First time here but I'm a foodie and this is my favorite breakfast place already.

Service was really good. Our wait person knew the menu and was able to direct my wife on gluten free etc. The tables were sticky, this seems to be hit or miss on my travels, and maybe everyone needs to take a bit more care when cleaning them. The food tasted good, and was hot when it arrived. The bill wasn't too painful for 2 people with drinks. I would visit again, but I will check the table before sitting down.

Great food at reasonable prices. We ordered a bit of everything and everyone was happy with their meals. The shrimp and grits is legit and would recommend that as best of the bunch. The one minor disappoint was the desserts. They are huge, but we’re too sweet even for the sweet tooth’s in the group which made it hard to eat too much of them. But overall great atmosphere, great views, and great experience.

The location of Miller’s restaurant is right on the gulf. Our food was just ok. A lot of items lacked flavor and the onions in the onion rings were hard and seemingly uncooked. Our server was congenial. The star of the show is that they have the good ice for their drinks. I enjoyed the Gouda grits but did not care for the shrimp that came with it. This place is fantastic for those people who enjoy breakfast because they serve it all day!

Best Breakfast in Galveston . Hands down . .. Ask for extra crispy bacon and extra crispy hash browns . Homemade Biscuit with sausage cream gravy will have you coming back for more . So dang good . Open from 8-8 serving breakfast all day with lunch and dinner options available . Usually a wait ( sign of a great place ) . It’s worth the wait for sure! Usually seated quicker than they say . No gf bread / pasta options . Portion sizes are huge . We come here every time we visit Galveston . We have a home here so it’s often .

I am Korean and I would like to evaluate the restaurant I visited today. I was on an unplanned day trip to Houston and visited Galveston Beach. The female manager explained the waiting time and the food she ordered at lunchtime, and she was bright, positive, and entertained with humor. This restaurant was well-matched with a good location and beach. The food was great, and the staff in charge often asked me what I needed and paid attention to me. My sudden trip today was more meaningful when I visited this restaurant. And if you feel uncomfortable with the female manager's photo release, please leave a note to delete the photo. I will remove the picture.

I have been wanting to try this place for a very long time, we finally went tonight for dinner and it sadly didn't live up to expectations. Food was ok not great. I will say the gumbo was the best part of our meal, that was definitely delicious. I felt like for what we paid ($70 for 2 adults & 2 kids) the food should have been better. I had a sandwich , my husband had the shrimp special and the kids shared a fried shrimp dinner. The service was excellent though and our server kept up with our refills despite being busy. I would consider going again for breakfast since they are known for that.

We went there because it looked like a cool place to eat, and it didn't disappoint. Their wings were so good, also the Spicy Shrimp tacos with their cucumber relish. Their milk shake was good and thick, it tasted so good. The atmosphere was awesome. We were able to sit outside and hear the waves and look at the beautiful beach. I can't wait to go back. Also every employee was very nice and attentive.

Good food and service. The lines can be a little long. Would help if everyone looks at the menu ahead of time and then orders. Find your own seat and enjoy the view of the beach. Indoor or outdoors. There's even a play area. Two stories and bar sections for adults. Parking is available nearby, so no worries there. Finish dinner with some much deserved ice cream! We had 4 cones for a reasonable price! If you're ever in town, go to THE SPOT.

I'm giving this a 4 out of 5 stars not because of the atmosphere, location, or food. It's just that you have to seat yourself, but then go to the counter and order yourself. But you don't want to lose your seat so someone has to stay at the table. And then you fill up your own drinks and refills. Yet they asked for a tip. And not just any tip. The 20/ 25/ 30%. Seems pretty audacious for them for the fact they don't really serve you. But I do have to say the location is great, plenty of different kind of seatings for different sized groups, and the atmosphere/decor inside is pretty good.

This place was really fun! With beautiful views right on the sea wall and a great happy hour, this is a great spot. I was welcomed right when I walked in, and Teighlor provided wonderful service at the bar top in Rum Shack. They have various happy hour drinks and bites, as well as a full menu. The sliders were great, the spinach artichoke dip was good as well but very creamy. 📸: happy hour spinach and artichoke dip, happy hour rum punch, happy hour bacon jam sliders

It’s all about the vibe!! Not so much for food, but the vibe and the drinks?? Definitely the right place for it!! Love the ambiance, the view of the beach, the breeze. People are friendly. Food quality and selection could be better. My salad was “swimming” in dressing. lol. But we can’t complain much because the spot is for the vibe and drinks, not for the food. Be careful, it could get really crowded, really fast.

Food was yummy and served hot. We were able to find a quiet corner to vist and just enjoy our food. The desserts were okay but next time we will have dessert somewhere else. Overall very good experience and even a good black bean burger for my vegetarian.

Parking is limited in the front. They do validate if you park in the parking garage. You can pick your own table in the bar areas. Service is slow but they are nice. Food is average. The view of the beach is nice. Everyone eating there is friendly. It has a great vibe.

Food was fantastic, especially the shrimp kisses appetizer. I got the King Burger, my husband got The spot burger, both were great. Our waitress was Celeste & she was really great! Friendly, attentive & listened to our boring stories! We loved her!

So, here is the concept if you’re new around here! Walk up the ramp. Wait if there is a line. 21 and up can be seated to the right where they have bars and excellent music and families go left. We went left. You then go into another door and grab a menu. Then go get in one of 3 lines. You order and they give you a glass and a buzzer! You go to the fountain and make your own drinks. Then you go wherever and find your seat. Upstairs or down, patio or not. Then put your buzzer on the time in site or the food runners. They bring your food and that’s the last you hear of them. You go back where you got your drink to fill it up. We had people standing around and asking if we were almost done so they could sit 😒. The food is mediocre at best. I compare this to the Oasis in Austin. You go for the view and vibe not the food! The only person you tip is the one who clears your table as you don’t have waitstaff.

This was a wonderful experience. It looked crowded but we were able to park close, ordered, and lucky to find a sit. FABULOUS & FANTASTIC this place is simply beautiful the weather outside was nice at 1st but we moved inside from the rain. The sea wall set the atmosphere OMG seafood in Galveston by the sea....friendly people... Great food, good customer service.

Great food and great service. We were a solid 10 people beyond the 30 minute sign. And we still were able to get seated in less than 30 minutes The food is delicious. Children love the grilled cheese and fries and my shrimp was mouth watering.

One of my favorite restaurants of all time! It was the perfect vacation spot. The food was delicious and had a wide range of different foods. The aesthetic was 10/10 and we had the perfect view of the ocean! Will definitely come back when in town!

We came late around 10pm or so on Saturday evening, it was still crowded, waited in line for 15’ or so. If you want quicker service, go to the bar section, you can get table right away. Parking can be tough. Table is first come first serve, you proceed to order counter first, then they give the table tracker to bring food to you. You can sit indoor or outdoor. Staff was friendly and super helpful. Food was great. Location is perfect, ocean is on the other side of the road. It would be better if they open much later (currently close at 11pm)

Super busy, even at 5pm. The food was fun. Lots of variety for seafood and non-seafood lovers. Stacked hamburgers, shrimp tacos, ahi tuna salad and much more. They were all hits with our party. One building will get you waitress service. It's indoors, but open air, so no AC. The other side has indoor (AC) and outside seating. For that, though, you'll find your own table, then go get in line to order. They'll give you an electric pager and the servers will bring your food to you. It's worth the wait! They have an ice cream bar where you can get chocolate shakes and more.

The spot was rated number 1 but we were disappointed. The gal at the register had no personality at all however, the staff that brought out our food were very polite and wonderful. We had the seafood platter. The shrimp tasted like it was soaking in stale water and the tilapia was super fishy and not good at all. We did like the deep fried pickles. I loved the shrimp kisses as the bacon covered the weird water soaked flavor.

So if you're visiting Galveston this place is a must stop, there four or five? Unique areas with different personalities/themes/music For every taste, definitely a good representation of what Galveston used to be and wants to return to. Out of season visiting, the weekends are busy, but you can still find a table. On weekdays the food is just as good and the drinks; just as strong and well crafted. If you don't know what to get, the 3 of us were fine at lunch sharing the appetizer sampler after fishing the bay. For the undecided 3+ dinner group... if you don't have a preference, I'd recommend the sampler (appetizer menu) and the seafood sampler. There is a bit of crossover but not much. Drinks wise. The taps are ultra cold and fresh, and the flights of mixed drinks are interesting, We definitely preferred the frozen over the other set, they were a bit too... Earthy? Tasting. Hard to describe. The staff was friendly and enjoyed being there so that was a cool environment. Overall let's just say Galveston wouldn't feel like Galveston without "the spot".

I was amazed by the food and atmosphere when me and my husband came to eat here. We randomly chose this place based on their ratings compared to other seafood restaurants nearby and we were not disappointed. We were fortunate to be seated at a table with an amazing view which made the whole dining experience pleasurable. Our server was quick and attentive. He was very informative of letting us know more about the menu. I had the stuffed tilapia and it was so tender and oh-so flavorful!! The crab stuffing was my favorite. The 2 alcoholic drinks we ordered were tasty but were not strong, for those curious to know. I will definitely come back here to try more of their menu.

We had a fantastic view from our window seat table on the water. We made a reservation since this place often fills up and has a wait. Service was very prompt and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The kids burger with fries was a nice serving size for my 10yo. The fish and chips were some of the best my husband had ever had. He particularly enjoyed the batter. He highly recommends. The grilled shrimp and veggies were well cooked and tasty. The captains choice: fried shrimp and fish filets were excellent as well. We really enjoyed our view and the meal. We would return.

We had a wonderful experience visiting Fisherman’s Wharf. I ordered the flounder sandwich with fries. We were seated within the fifteen minutes as promised. The bread came in a warm bag and served with butter. It was hot and delicious. Our waiter was courteous and attentive to us. Our food came out within a reasonable time. The views are beautiful overlooking the harbor where the cruise ship is located. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoors because it was a cooler day but still had a beautiful view. They also validated our parking! That’s a bonus to great food and great service.

THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! We were in town for a couple days and we definitely wanted to try some seafood. We are very particular and the menu here looked really refined and there was mainly all seafood which is a good sign! The food was AMAZING!! tasted fresh and cooked so well! The location is amazing! You get views of ships and the USS Texas while it is dry docked. Great atmosphere and the styling is amazing. It’s classy but rustic looking on the pier! Staff was incredible and pleasant.

Pamela's Birthday at the beach was topped with great dinner time at Fisherman's Wharf just like the cake is topped with a cherry. We could not have wished for more! Great atmosphere, food and the best company I had celebrating Pamela's BD turned out as ..."we were at the best time at the best place". As we RV travel full time we believe leaving reviews is essential for restaurants and businesses we visit on the road. Fisherman's Wharf is a dynamic restaurant with a lot of rare and historical decorations making us feel like traveling back in history. As I shoot interior photography I always take advantage of waiting for food running around the restaurant and shooting interior images to use for the reviews. I hope this review will help others to decide to visit this restaurant....because honestly, there is no other option you have. Thanks for the great food. Pamela and Michael

We are a family of four, with a picky 5 yr old and 15 yr old. We were seated with a nice view, but the seats are very close together so if you are an adult, more than likely, your chair may touch the chair of the person behind you. Everyone liked the food. It was good, but not the greatest ever. We started with the Texas Trio which disappeared quickly. The bread brought to the table was good- soft in the middle with a crusty exterior. The service was good, and it was the first time ever at a restaurant where the server inquired if any of us had food allergies. My 15yr old remarked they had the cleanest bathrooms she had seen in a restaurant. The price was not bad considering what we ordered. Our bill totaled $120 after tip. We do recommend and would return if we are in town again.

Interesting view across the Galveston Channel. You can see the Battleship Texas being worked on. Friendly staff, good service, and interesting atmosphere. It’s a little pricey, but it’s on the island with a water view.

Great food and charming atmosphere! It’s a two stories building with both indoor and outdoor seating. Fish was fresh and Elissa’s flavor was delicious! The shrimp kisses wrapped in bacon was a staple as well! Had a bit of wait the day we came, believed they were short staffed since there were plenty of tables. Shoutout to our great server, Justin, for the friendly service and attentiveness to our big table!!

Ate here on a non-holiday weekend Monday. Walked in at 740pm, seated by 745pm, had water/drinks by 755pm, food was out by 810pm, desert served by 835pm, and we're boxed up and leaving by 850pm. Absolutely outstanding experience. Everything was top notch and prices were reasonable for a nicer restaurant in Galveston, TX. Highly, highly recommend. And a bonus, the servers are very good with kids (at least the ones on staff the night I was there)!

We loved this place. We had blackened red snapper, a Cesar salad and the seafood platter. Everything was wonderful. Along with oysters on the half shell, nice and salty and fresh. Cold tap beer and a shot of patron with lime. Great and fast service even during the motorcycle rally going on locally.

Always great service and personable waiters. They are friendly & seem to enjoy their job. The Shrimp kisses are scrumptious! Bacon cooked to perfection with yummy cheese and shrimp inside . My husband and I usually share the combination platter ~ delicious 😋😋😋

The food and view here were great!!! The day was nice and breezy, and the food was cooked right well done and flavorful. Our waitress was friendly but the only issue was that she was very forgetful. She forgot about our drinks, silverware, sauces, alcohol drink and items we didn't want in our food was still placed in our food, and was just forgetful most to where she would also say she forgot. The restaurant wasn't to pack and she was attending to 4 or 5 tables, but we didn't let it ruin our day we still had a great view and great food.

LOVE FISH TALES!!! We’re starting at the top of the menu and working our way through it, everything is so delicious!!! The staff are sweet and accommodating and the views of Pleasure Pier, the beach, the ship channel and even the constant traffic are always awesome. Never a bad experience!❤️

We come here once a year because the food is good and it's a great place to take the kids with the pleasure pier right across the street. The only thing that kept this from being a horrible experience was the food. The food was excellent! I had the red snapper with the Ponchartrain topping and it was wonderful. I've had it before and it was just as good as I remember. The kid grilled cheese was delicious and the chicken nuggets were great. Oh, and the shrimp kisses were awesome! However... The drinks were wrong, that took 20 minutes to get, there weren't several things we never got that we asked for like water and condiments, napkins- things like that. We received the wrong side for one of the dishes and then we were charged for a substitution and didn't receive the side. When we finally did receive the side the waiter continually made comments about how we were getting a bigger bang for our buck. I can't put into words exactly how or why this is the worst service we received and how it ruined the experience, but it totally did. I didn't want to tip at all, but I'm not that person and did tip- since I used to be a waiter I get that everyone has a bad day. And all 3 tables had problems with wrong orders and not getting them corrected. I've visited many times and this is the first time I had such a bad experience.

We, family of 5, came in on a Thursday around 5. We asked to sit upstairs on the patio and were seated immediately. Our server came out and took our drink and appetizers order. We told him we weren’t ready to order our main entrees yet, he came back twice to check on us before we were finally ready to order. He did not rush us and allowed us to enjoy our appetizers and take our time. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and he even brought out extra chips since we were a larger party with kids. He promptly refilled our children’s icee’s when they needed a refill. I was drinking water with lemon when he brought out my refill it didn’t not have a lemon, no big deal but he noticed and brought me a plate of lemons to add to my water. The kitchen messed up part of my husbands order, they forgot part of his trio platter but the brought it out not too long after we got our meals. Food was good and waiter was nice. I will say my steak was a little more rare than medium rare but was still delicious and my daughter ordered fish sticks but she got what looked like friend tilapia, which she ate and said was good but she was really wanted the fish sticks. They also give a very generous amount of French fries with the kids meals. I gave 4 stars because for $200 + a tip I think we could have gone without the missing food, correct kids meal and slightly undercooked steak but overall would recommend and will be back again. Prior to the last visit it had been a few years since we’ve been here but we’ve never had a bad experience. My biggest issue was having to pay $10 to park in a parking long that use to be free since the restaurant is literally in the parking lot but not your charged for parking which I’m not sure if that related to the restaurant or pleasure pier but I do believe it’s due to pleasure pier. There was free parking along the street or in the parking lot across from the restaurant but I did not want to have to walk to the restaurant when it literally sits in a parking lot.

Been here both times I've come to Galveston (I'm new to Texas). Such a good experience both times. My first time, it was super busy and everyone was frazzled, but the food was great and the speed was great for how busy it was. The second time, we stopped by for lunch. Such a wonderful experience and a wonderful view. Great shrimp, great sweet tea, great view. Just a lovely time all together.

Location. Location. Location! Great ocean views with inside and patio seating. Across the street from Pleasure Pier. Had to pay $10 for parking as the street parking was full. Food was good but didn't think anything was over-the-top. We ordered appetizers and drinks and got appetizers before drinks. Took our food 45 minutes to arrive. OK if you aren't on a time crunch.
